Manifesting Avatars

Djwhal Khul in his writings that ended in 1949 expressed high hopes for the spiritual evolution of humanity after the war. In expressing his vision for our future he ever reminded us of the fickleness of mankind and how unpredictable their progress may be because of free will.

Even taking into consideration our flaws he expected powerful results by 1975. He expected a release of the Shamballa force at that time which would lead to the teachings being given out to the masses “on a worldwide scale via the radio.”

Rays and Initiations Pg 255

Lucis Trust did their best to get a few things broadcast through the media, but all they could afford were a few local efforts – nothing of a worldwide scale. The Ancient Wisdom never even managed to come up with a national radio figure as potent as a Rush Limbaugh or even a Larry King. We have no one who is well known either nationally or internationally through the media.

If many of the principles of the Ancient Wisdom had been able to permeate society through the airwaves since 1975 it would have paved the way for his other hopes. He said:

In twenty-five years’ time enough work will have been done by groups such as yours so that the pattern of unity in the world will be distinctly seen. The theory will be comprehended and much straight application will be made. Unity will become a definite world goal in a sense different to the present one. The words “The souls of men are one” will be recognised doctrine of every world faith. So go on with the work of unifying, my brother—in rain or shine.

The problem before the Hierarchy at this time is so to direct and control all five of the powerful energies that the Divine Plan can materialise, and the close of this century see the Purpose of God for humanity assuming right direction and proportion

We are clearly told that he expected the teachings to be broadcast through the media, and great strides through seeing the divine plan materialize with unity becoming a definite world goal of the nations.

While it is true that there has been gradual step by step spread of new age teachings along with the Ancient Wisdom there has been nothing significant enough to cause the people of the world to contemplate the divine plan or seek world unity.

Instead, what we saw, right after the turn of the century, was the 9/11 disaster that initiated division in the country and the world to an unexpected degree.

When I was younger most people didn’t care which political party their friends belonged to and rarely did the subject come up. We all realized everyone had different political opinions and let it go at that.

Not so today. Today there is a great political division not seen since the American Civil War. In some circles one may be at physical risk if he lets people know for whom he voted. Instead of unity there is great anger and disgust from both sides with little desire to understand each other or to reason together and find points of agreement.

DK tells us that several avatars were supposed to show up before the turn of the century. Obviously something did not go as planned for the hoped for progress has not been made.

Now one may say that things are going as planned but we do not see it. Avatars have shown up and done their job but we are not aware.

Students must realize that a successful avatar will initiate. Let us look at three named by DK which are the Buddha, the Christ and Abraham Lincoln.

What they all have in common is that they all initiated things that helped humanity. Buddah and Christ initiated world religions and new teachings and Lincoln initiated the freeing of the slaves and solidified the union.

A successful avatar just doesn’t come and go with no one taking notice or making little effect.

If a disciple was able to initiate a radio program around 1975 that took the teachings worldwide then this would have correlated to the statement by DK that we could identify them by their works proclaiming them.

Since 1949 there have been no works by a spiritual teacher significant enough to “proclaim” their presence so a significant number of students can agree that an avatar is here and who he or she may be.

Something has gone wrong. What could it be? Is it that humanity has backslid to the extent that the avatars and high initiates have not been sent?

I do not think this is the case. I think they were sent as planned but the resistance and the problems encountered were much higher than expected.

Let us take one example:

In 1925 DK wrote:

“The Master Jesus will take a physical vehicle, and with certain of His chelas effect a re-spiritualisation of the Catholic churches, breaking down the barrier separating the Episcopal and Greek churches from the Roman. This may be looked for, should plans progress as hoped, about the year 1980.”

A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, Page 759

“From the chair of the Pope of Rome, the Master Jesus will attempt to swing that great branch of the religious beliefs of the world again into a position of spiritual power and away from its present authoritative and temporary political potency.”

Destiny of the Nations, Page 61

I believe this prophecy was attempted to be fulfilled by Pope John Paul I who was overshadowed by Jesus. He was Pope for a mere 33 days and was poisoned in Sept 1978 by those who fought his reforms.

The fact that He was in office 33 days which corresponds to the 33 years in the life of Jesus of Nazareth is far from the only correspondence.

His given name was Albino Luciani which means “white light.”

After John Paul I was killed he was replaced by Karol Joseph Wojtyla who became John Paul II. Ironically this replacement pope was born during a solar eclipse. This is symbolic of his reign during an eclipse of a true son of God through the death of Luciani.

Albino Luciani means “white light” but the new Pope’s name of Karol Joseph Wojtyla means “man who adds increase to war.”

The book, “In God’s Name,” written by David A. Yallop makes a convincing case that John Paul I was poisoned.

So, what happened to the others then?

The reason no great spiritual work has been initiated is because of human imperfection that has been skillfully manipulated by dark forces.

Then too we cannot overlook the fact that avatars and initiates are not perfect and often are not able to accomplish all their plans.

The story of Sampson teaches us this truth. The Bible tells us he was expected to be a Messiah to Israel, but succumbed to human weakness and didn’t fulfill his mission as expected.

The biggest problem is always with humanity itself and those who should know better are often the greatest hindrance. DK says:

“It is the disciples in the world and not the mass of men who today hinder the Coming of the Avatar and render useless His intention. He dare not come until the disciples and aspirants in the world bring about the needed changes in themselves, for the reason that there would not be ‘enough of the will-to-love with the fiery essence.’”

If one potential avatar falls down on the job another disciple can be chosen and overshadowed, but if students and humanity as a whole are not ready to accept additional light, even the hands of the Hierarchy will be tied.

So where have we as students and human beings failed and what can we do to fulfill our part?

Where we have failed is with the principle of evocation. For any great revelation, teaching or work to manifest among us there must be a powerful evocation. If the evocation is not strong enough then the messenger may be here among us, but unable to manifest the work he came to do.

What causes disciples to be lukewarm in their evocation of additional light?

The most common reason just laziness. They are happy with what they have and are not seeking more light or responsibility.

Another common one is they are caught in the glamour of anther disciple who may be no more enlightened than themselves.

For us to see the “greater works” promised by the Christ and to be of true assistance to the Hierarchy we must put our heart and soul into wanting such things to appear. We must use evocation with applied heart and will energies. To evoke, we must call out to God, our Source, and our souls for power to manifest through disciples so light and love and power can restore the plan on earth.

One of the things that DK anticipated was the appearance of the Avatar of Synthesis who would descend as far as the mental plane and then inspire certain disciples and groups.

I believe that this avatar has made an approach several times but there has not been enough power of evocation to sustain his presence.

I’ll thus end this post with an evocation for him:

Avatar of Synthesis Invocation

From the center where the Will of God is known, let Purpose guide the little wills of men.

Let the One Great Life manifest Its Purpose and send forth his Avatar.

Let this Master of Purpose come forth and amplify our wills to synthesize them with his own, giving us power to serve.

Let the Avatar of Synthesis manifest to the group of which I am a part.

That we may prepare the earth for the Lords of Light and Love.

Let Will and Power and Purpose manifest the Christ on earth.

Being and Becoming

I was asked whose truth I speak of when I use the word.

If I say something like “The truth is…” it should be taken for granted by you that what I say may or may not be correct as indicated in my first 200 posts where I did everything in my power to make you question all authority. The only way you will know for sure about the truth of what I say is to run it by your own souls. If your soul confirms it to you then you should trust it, but if your soul does not you must continue to question until the truth is revealed.

I AM BECOMING or 2+2=4. Who’s truth is that? Can I say that I own 2+2=4 and Rick owns 4+4=8. No. Of course not. Truth belongs to all and is the exclusive property of none.

When people use the phrase “my truth,” they generally mean “my opinion.” If we are honest with ourselves we will see that the phrase “my truth” and “your truth” are illusionary statements.

The truth is, I mean My truth is, whoops, I mean that which I see as truth, but that you may see as mumbo jumbo is:

Thoughts and decisions are the beginning of cause which has produced the effect of he entire universe in which we live.

Question: “So is there a universe without Cause and Effect operating?”

Cause and effect are eternal. The first cause in this universe was the DECISION of the One Life to reflect Itself to infinity and the first effect was the innumerable reflections, you and me. To return to a universe without cause and effect would be to return to nothingness. To say that you can live in a universe without cause and effect is to say you can live in a universe where none of us even exist and that is an oxymoron.

I exist and decide, therefore there is cause. I act, therefore there is effect.

To go where there is no cause and effect is to go to a place where you do not exist or have power to decide.

Question: “The Course in Miracles teaches that the only mistake (sin) that we made was to entertain the thought of separation for a split second…(not really even that long!!) and is not the law of Cause and Effect in line with that thought of separation, and when overcome, by oneness, there is no time and no separation, and potentially no Cause and Effect.”

Answer: Both separation AND oneness of life are effects initiated by some cause.

Question: Are not miracles beyond cause and effect?

Answer: No. Anyone capable of such a feat merely has understanding of the levers necessary to accomplish it through cause and effect. Even the raising of the dead is an effect of some cause.

Question: What is the point to ‘going home’, becoming one with our creator?”

Answer: I have news for you. You can’t go home.

Yes, yes, I know. That is what everyone says. Our purpose is to go home to God and live happily ever after in ultimate perfection. But I am not everyone and I don’t go by what everyone says. I go by what is verified by my own soul, even though a Master comes and tells me otherwise.

The Dark Brothers want us to be happy with the doctrine of just BEING and then wrapping things up and returning home. This makes the people of the world much easier to control through scare tactics.

But when we realize that we are BECOMING beings eternally progressing we discover the truth and the truth sets us free. Free to do what? Free to DECIDE for ourselves and BECOME that which we decide to become.

As we leave home in this world we change, expand and grow and when we return we find that the home we remember no longer exists. Everything has changed, but that is all right. In many ways everything is better than before. Besides we have crated new homes that are even more satisfying than before.

There are many homes, or many mansions, in the spheres of God. As we BECOME we move away from one mansion home and on to another more joyous one.

Finally, after we complete our journeys in this universe we do return home to a oneness with God, but with enhanced intelligence and qualities.

To the primitive man a person driving around in a car would seem like a god operating beyond cause and effect, but the truth is that the driver is using cause and effect in ways the primitive can’t understand.

To the modern person driving in a car the sight of a person walking on water is a miracle beyond cause and effect whereas, again, the initiator merely understands cause and effect better than he does.

Any time we see an effect produced here there is a cause that is linked to “here.”

If we were totally operating in some other reality the effects would show up in that reality and would completely bypass this one.

Question: “I am a bit confused about Being and Becoming. Becoming sounds like moving from one point forward, which is a linear process and therefore limiting, whereas I saw Being as encompassing all, including Becoming. Is this the case, but it is really only practical to talk about Becoming in our limited state of consciousness on earth because Being relates to the formless, or non-physical, worlds? Or have I got this mixed up?”

I would say you have this reversed. When you are in the process of BECOMING that part of you which has BEING is coexisting with you as you BECOME. But those lives who have not chosen to BECOME are in a state of BEING only, but always with the possibility of BECOMING. Thus becoming embraces the state of being and becoming, as cooperating states, but those in a state of being alone have nothing to do with becoming.

BECOMING is more like a circular or spiral expansion than a straight line. As you progress your ring-pass-not expands as an expanding atom or solar system.

In actuality you are a circular being. The physical body is merely a nucleus as the center of an atom. Your astral and mental bodies circulate around you making the whole you like a globe or great ball of fire if we could see it. As you become (evolve) your subtle bodies grow and expand, but even this is only one of the expansions incorporated in the process of becoming.

Question: You said that love only exists where there are two, implying that love must be for something or someone. Could you elaborate?

To talk about love with any degree of understanding we need to define it. “Love is the magnetic attractive force that pulls the many into harmonic Oneness, yet allowing for individual identity and free will.”

If there is only one of something there is nothing to attract.

Love is not the fullness of God but one of the three main aspects which are:

Power

Love-Wisdom

Active Intelligence

These three correspond to:

Father/Mother

Son/Daughter

Holy Spirit

God had to reflect Itself into a Trinity and then to infinity before Love could manifest.

To say that Love is a state of being that can be experienced while you are completely alone is to theorize about a state that no one in the flesh has ever experienced because it is impossible to ever be alone and have life.

I believe it was BJ who mentioned about being alone with her animals and garden, but these are life forms that enhance Love through their magnetic power.

You are not even alone in your body for there are millions of tiny lives there who are capable of receiving the energy of Love from you. Every cell in your body and every atom is a life form.

True spiritual love could be said to be a state of BEING actively engaged in service of others, service to the whole or bringing the many into united service.

When one experiences higher spiritual contact he or she will have a wonderful feeling of Love, but still we have two or more involved. There is you and there is the Holy Spirit that is contacted. Then there re the many linked through that Spirit.

One could say that when we return to our Source that we rest in oneness but reflect on the many parts gathered in love.

Question: Aren’t there many example to returning home such as returning to spirit or uniting in consciousness with higher lives?

Answer: There are many wonderful feelings that are either an integral part of us or remind us of feelings from past lives that we can associate with “coming home.”

When high spiritual contact is made for the first time in any one life it seems very familiar, because our essential livingness is a reflection of God. As we go through the process of becoming we experience many wonderful feelings that seem familiar, like coming home, but we never really get home because each new expansion of consciousness, livingness and ring-pass-not puts you in a place, or mansion of God, that you have never been in before.

Think of it. Which would you rather do? Go back to your old home and your old school of your youth? Or have a home that evolves and improves as you do, so each time you return for a repose the rest is more glorious?

From one point of view we do return to our home which is God, but when we return our intelligence is enhanced and our eternal home becomes a better place than it was before.

Question: What’s a good way to teach these principles?

Let me tell you a secret I have learned and incorporated in teaching people in person.

One of the few things I learned when I went to church long ago was in a Sunday School class I attended. The teacher was a very relaxed young guy who began the class by asking a question. It was not a run-of-the-mill question, but an interesting question. Then I noticed that he often spent the whole class period of 45 minutes doing nothing but calling on raised hands eager to give their two cents worth.

In some classes he only asked one question, some two, but hardly ever more than three. The teacher always spent over 90 per cent of his time just calling on people, then sitting back and letting them talk.

The funny thing was this guy received all kinds of comments about what a great teacher he was when he did very little actual speaking.

Since then I have done quite a bit of teaching of various sorts and I have found that if I run out of things to say or interest seems to wane then all I needed to do was ask a question and sit back, like the Sunday School teacher, and let the class teach each other.

Someone mentioned that Jesus wanted us to become as little children. This is true but then the scriptures seem to say the opposite here:

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” I Cor 13:11-12

So which scripture is correct?

Answer. They both are when you examine the meaning.

Jesus was talking about people who were set in their ways and refused to be opened to new things. In this relationship He was telling us that we must be open-minded as children and be willing to learn to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

But Paul was also teaching the truth, but instead of attitude he was talking about the learning process itself. He was saying that we grow up and mature we learn better methods and gain knowledge and as we do we put away childish things like believing in Santa just because someone tells you he exists. Yet we should always follow the advice of Jesus and be open to all possibilities.

We must become as open as a child to receive soul contact, but put away childish (unworkable methods) to keep it.

The Santa God

The Santa God

A reader was offended with my following statement:

“This simplistic view works good as a teaching mechanism for the spiritual infants of the world who see God as an amplified Santa Claus, but there comes a time that the seeker realizes that the Santa Claus God is an illusion and wants a more logical reason behind the true disciplines and gifts of the Father/Mother/It God.”

It is interesting to apply the law of correspondences to the idea of Santa Claus.

Children are taught the illusionary belief that there is a real physical Santa Claus who brings gifts to all the “good” children of the world, but if you are “bad” then Santa Claus will have nothing for you. You may stand out among your friends as a bad kid because you received few or no gifts.

You go through several cycles of dealing with this illusion until you individualize enough to wake up and smell the coffee. You begin asking questions. “Dad, there are millions of kids in the world… How does Santa Claus visit them all?”

Dad gives an answer, but you are not satisfied with it.

“Mom. How does Santa Claus get into our house through such a small chimney?”

Mom gives an answer that shuts you up for a time, but still you wonder.

“Dad. Why does my friend Jimmy get a lot better stuff than me when he got caught stealing from the grocery store and cheating in school? I’ve been a good kid and I get cheap stuff.”

Dad gives an answer but now you’re really getting uneasy. You’re not satisfied with it.

“Mom, we saw three Santa Clauses today while shopping. Which one is the real one?”

“They’re just helpers of the real Santa,” Says Mom.

“Well, I want to see the real one.”

“He’s up at the North Pole making toys.”

“How does he make millions of toys?”

“He has lots of elves that help him.”

“But the last Santa I talked to said he was the real one.”

“Maybe you just got lucky then,” smiled Mom.

You then look back at mom smiling and wonder. Are you being told the truth here or is there some type of scam going on?”

You decide to find out the truth once and for all. On Christmas Eve you sneak out of bed and hide in a closet with the door cracked open so you can see the Christmas tree and the chimney. You are going to catch Santa when he shows up and ask him some questions and get some straight answers.

You wait and wait and nothing seems to happen, but then finally you see some movement, but it is not Santa coming through a chimney. Instead it is Mom and Dad with presents in hand placing them under the tree.

You sit back and slap yourself on the side of the head. “I should have known,” you think. “It all makes sense now. Mom and Dad are Santa Clause! Why didn’t I realize the truth after all the signs I saw? Why wasn’t I able to put it all together?”

The interesting thing is that even though you discovered that you were in an illusion you also found that the gifts of Christmas were not illusion. The gifts were real, but they materialized through a different process than you previously believed. You have now discovered a cause and effect that makes sense and this knowledge is actually more satisfying to your growing consciousness.

Now what is the correspondence here?

As young souls Santa Claus corresponds to God and we ask similar questions about Him.

To our Reverend, Father, Pastor, Mom, Dad, or friends we ask:

“If God is all powerful and loving then why does He allow so much suffering?”

“How is God aware of me and billions of others all at the same time?”

“How does God find time to pay attention to me and billions of others at the same time?

“Why do I only see God’s helpers? I want to see the real God.

“Why do I have so many problems when I am a good guy and Jim lives in luxury when he is an SOB?”

“Why do I have to go to church when it is so boring and I don’t learn anything?”

“How can God be everywhere all at the same time, yet be sitting on a throne in heaven?”

Finally, after a period of questioning you withdraw to your closet and open the door to your inner world and you see that the reality of the God you have been told about is no more real than Santa Claus. There is a source of all your gifts, but it is not as you supposed. In many ways it is better than you supposed because it is real.

Where are the Avatars?

Down through the ages believers have looked for an avatar, a Moses or Messiah to deliver them from their problems and conflicts. Indeed great beings have shown up from time to time, but often they have been largely rejected by their generation.

Today the Christian world awaits the Second Coming of Christ, The Buddhists look for Maitreya and the Muslims watch for the Imam Mahdi. In addition many Mormons anticipate the coming of One Mighty and Strong before Christ appears.

Students of Alice A. Bailey writings are looking for a number of avatars. In addition to looking for Christ to appear they expect a numerous masters and avatars to show up. Avatars will either be great beings in incarnation or they will be overshadow a devoted human.

Concerning these avatars Djwhal Khul writes:

“It is not permissible to say more in connection with the plans of the Great Ones. Their appearing will not be simultaneous in time, for the people could not stand the tremendously increased inflow of force, and recognition of Them and of Their methods will depend upon the intuition, and the training of the inner senses. They come with no herald, and only Their works will proclaim Them.”

TCF, Pages 759-760

That last statement, “only Their works will proclaim Them” eliminates a lot of self proclaimed great ones who want attention because they think they are the reincarnation of a great one from the past.

DK tells us to expect an advanced revelation soon:

“Occasionally (usually once in a century after Their Conclave at the close of the first quarter) there is the imparting of a more advanced body of teaching. This teaching will only be recognised by a few of the foremost disciples in the world; it will, however, prove to be the ordinary form of occult teaching during the next developing cycle. It is this type of work which I have been endeavouring to do with the aid of A.A.B.”

In support of this he tells us that he will reveal new teachings around the year 2025.

DK finished his work with Alice A. Bailey in 1949. His writings reveal that he had high hopes for humanity between then and now. A number of avatars were supposed to have appeared. It even sounded like Christ should have been here some time ago. A great extra planetary avatar called the Avatar of Synthesis was supposed to be working with individuals and groups inspiring them toward great service.

The question many are asking is, “Where are the avatars?”

Sure, there have been strong leaders and innovators show up since 1949 but where is someone who is changing esoteric thought as did H. P. Blavatsky, and where are writings with depth as revealed through Alice A. Bailey or where is a new Holy Book as influential as the Book of Mormon?

We have great material available written before 1949, but where is the new stuff? Have we flatlined as a people?

DK tells us the principle behind the appearing of avatars and it is that of evocation. Just as the enslaved Israelites cried out for a deliverer which brought them Moses, even so must humanity cry out for more light and truth before the great ones can manifest. Keep in mind that they can manifest at any time. Even if a Master is not in incarnation, he can overshadow a disciple and become present on the physical plane when properly evoked.

So if students cannot find the avatars they think should be here it is because they are not reaching out to them and not seeking as they should.

Indeed, it does sound from DK’s wrings that we should have made much more progress toward the New Age than has transpired. DK was hoping that we should have achieved reasonable world unity and instead we have people going at each other’s throats more than any time since the American Civil War.

DK did not claim to be infallible in predicting the future. He said:

“Again I tell you that even the Hierarchy itself, with all its knowledge, vision and understanding and with all its resources, cannot coerce and cannot forecast what mankind will do.”

“I have told you frequently that the Hierarchy itself does not know what decisions humanity will make in world affairs, or if mankind will profit from proffered opportunity.”

So even though Christ and his Hierarchy had high hopes for the people on this planet, all things cannot be predicted because of free will. Even though the forces of light won World War II and it appeared that a path was set toward great peace, enlightenment and achievement humanity can create its own obstacles through falling for illusion and glamor.

There are five reasons that seekers have not seen the predicted avatars and new revelations of truth.

(1) The powers of darkness and materialism are always more cunning and seductive than anticipated. They present seductive ideals, but materialist methods that violate free will to achieve them. This has caused a great division centered around the Principle of Freedom.

We fought the Great War to secure freedom, but still the door to the insidious evil that enslaves minds is not shut or sealed. We have been tricked into letting it stay open.

(2) Seekers hold on closely to the founding documents of their belief system and see the teachings in black and white terms. They reject anything that is in conflict or goes beyond them, or in many cases just uses a different vocabulary. There is more light and truth available than meets the eye.

(3) Students may be very devout in adhering to their belief systems, but many neglect running all other teachings they encounter by their own souls. Truth speaks to the soul whereas pleasing illusion appeals to the personality.

(4) Many of those who are sensitive to true principles do little to act upon them.

(5) Many who have come in this cycle with an important mission to manifest light have been captured by illusion and have not found their true path.

As it is the most successful lights have appeared in the world of technology rather than spiritual thought. This has created somewhat of an imbalance. We have great technology, but are lagging behind on right human relations because of a lack of success in spiritual progression.

Nevertheless those who are sensitive to inner contact must keep moving forward and seek to ever evoke the help of higher lives to avert a possible holocaust not seen since Atlantis. We still have better than a fifty-fifty change of bringing in a new age of peace and establishing right human relations without an apocalypse. Let each of us do our part to make it happen.

The Lever Principle

Many people wonder how karma will be paid off or if it is even necessary if the offender learns his lesson and changes his behavior. And how about someone like Hitler who was responsible for killing millions of people? Will he have to be reborn and murdered again and again to pay for his deeds? Or how about a burglar who has robbed from many homes? How can he pay his debt?

The trouble we have here in our understanding is that we tend to examine forgiveness through the eyes of the fundamentalist religions which tend to see God on some yonder throne making decisions as to how much each person needs to be punished before he is forgiven. Then after he has either been punished to the maximum or performed a necessary ritual he wipes the slate clean.

This simplistic view works good as a teaching mechanism for the spiritual infants of the world who see God as an amplified Santa Claus, but there comes a time that the seeker realizes that the Santa Claus God is an illusion and wants a more logical reason behind the true disciplines and gifts of the Father/Mother/It God.

The truth is that when God switches from the state of Being to BECOMING the worlds of form were created and as a result of God reflecting Itself and, having plunged into form, certain laws became manifest that were a natural result of the creation of God and even God Itself had no power to determine exactly how the laws would materialize. God did not say – I am going to create the universe and in it I am going to make a law of cause and effect. Instead He created the universe and within this universe the reflections of God discovered that the law of cause and effect is an inherent principle that eternally exists within any creation of form. The reflections also discovered other laws such as gravity, the polarities of positive and negative, inertia and other principles that just ARE. The reflections discovered that the principles that just are cannot be altered or changed but must be mastered and used to mold creation to a desired end. That desired end is that which we DECIDE and creates the process of BECOMING.

Thus we, as reflections of God, find ourselves within a universe that has certain eternal laws that are interdependent with creation that even God cannot negate and thus we as reflections cannot negate. To make a declaration of belief that a principle does not exist does not and cannot alter the principle. What we as reflections must do is discover the laws and work with them to create the end that we desire.

The lives higher than human, who are so advanced that they seem as gods to us, have learned and mastered many principles that have given them a great deal of power and freedom, but only because they work with what is rather than what is not.

Whereas the law of cause and effect is an eternal principle, forgiveness is not. Forgiveness is a temporary measure that manifests in the state of illusion. The illusion that makes forgiveness seem real is the idea that there is something to forgive, as The Course in Miracles teaches. As a reflection of God you are invulnerable and as such there is nothing anyone can do to hurt you in the real sense. This is a realization that all Masters who have overcome death have attained. Once this understanding is incorporated into our being then forgiveness no longer exists or is possible because there is never anything to forgive.

But even those who have attained this high realization still have to deal with the law of cause and effect because this law is no illusion as it relates to creation.

Cause and effect (or karma) applies to the universe, galaxies, suns, planets, humans and even atoms… there is no escape as long as we are experiencing the life principle.

Some gurus argue with this by saying: “My consciousness is so high that I am one with a beingness that is beyond cause and effect.”

To this I answer: Look in the mirror. Do you see yourself? If you do then you have not left the world of cause and effect. Are you conscious of time and space? If so then you are subject to the law of cause and effect. Do you use money? Then you are in the world of cause and effect.

The trouble is that many read teachings about some ultimate reality that is beyond cause and effect and they immediately assume that this is the next step for them. Then after a short period of contemplation they assume they have taken that step and they then enter a world of illusion where they see themselves as untouchable by the normal laws of being. Entities who enter this illusion often receive a painful and alarming awakening by the law of cause and effect from which they see themselves immune. Sooner or later they are forced into the realization that they have not left the laws of the universe behind but must deal with what is.

Let us use a car as an example of this law. You get in your car and head out to the freeway and accelerate to seventy miles an hour and then put on the cruise control. You have now created cause that has the effect of making you cruise down the road at a certain speed.

Now that this cause and effect is a reality in this part of creation let us say that for some reason you want to change this situation and bring your car to a stop. If forgiveness has any effect on karma (or cause and effect) then all you would have to do is say to your car: “I forgive you for going seventy miles an hour and because I forgive you I expect you to stop.!”

This seems like an obviously silly thing to do because there is nothing to forgive and even if there was it would not effect the speed of the car.

So it is with the burglar. Seen from the reality of cause and effect there is nothing to forgive and even if we think there is, nothing changes.

Let’s get back to the speeding car. Suppose you blurt out a mantra decreeing: “I see myself in the Eternal Now and decree that all is still!”

Does your car stop?

No.

Why?

Because you created no cause.

So how do you stop the car?

There are several ways.

The worst method is to run head on to an opposing vehicle. This would stop you dead in your tracts in an undesirable manner.

You could run into a stationary object such as a building or a cow. This would also stop you, but is also undesirable.

You could take the cruise control and acceleration off and let natural resistances outside of yourself cause you to slow a stop.

But perhaps this method of stopping takes much longer than you desire. So what else can you do? Aha! You discover a device called a brake that works with cause and effect in the real world, and using such device you can bring yourself to a quick and secure stop. You have not negated the law, but worked with the law with intelligence so your desired end is achieved and under your control.

So the burglar has created a thousand burglaries or a thousand causes so his car is going at the terrible speed of a thousand miles an hour. Now he wants to stop because he has discovered he is going the wrong direction. He needs to slow to zero, turn around and go the other direction. How does he do this?

(1) First he must realize that there are causes in motion that he must steer correctly. If he does not he is likely to have a collision and come to a disastrous stop which will take a long period of pain and healing from which to recover.

(2) He can turn off his cruise control and release the acceleration (stop committing burglaries) and let natural causes from the opposing direction bring you to zero.

(3) The burglar experiences an epiphany and ceases his bad behavior, but he decides to just “go with the flow” and applies no intelligence to using the law of cause and effect in his favor. Thus what brings him to zero are a thousand negative resisting experiences happening to him. This stretches the pain out over a long period of time, but is still undesirable.

(4) The final and most desirable method of coming to a stop is to apply the brakes. Consider the miracle of the brake. A frail 100 pound weakling can apply a small pressure with his foot and bring a vehicle weighing tons to a complete stop in seconds, much faster than using the going with the flow idea. The brake applies the leverage principle wherein a pound of pressure can create a thousand pounds of resistance through intelligent application of law and materials.

So how does the burglar apply the leverage principle so he does not have to suffer the equivalent of a thousand thefts himself?

First he must come to the realization that he is going the wrong direction and take off the cruise control and acceleration (stop burglarizing homes). Then he must obtain a sense and awareness of his situation. He must become aware of his speed and direction and he must do something to slow to zero so he can head in a positive direction. Once he obtains a sense of the energy (service) that is required to stop he then seeks power to manipulate this force.

There are a number of ways the wise burglar can neutralize this energy of negative karma; here is one.

The burglar changes his ways and seeks to live by the highest that he knows. As he does this he achieves a degree of soul contact and begins to get direction from within which tells him that he should strive to succeed and do good works to help his brothers and sisters. He follows this impulse and starts a business and becomes successful. After he achieves considerable wealth his inner self tells him he should be generous with his good fortune. He then sets up a scholarship program that helps a thousand kids go to college and improve their lives. This then becomes a lever that puts a brake on the great debt that he owes and brings his karma to a complete stop much quicker than going with the flow will ever accomplish. In addition, he pays off his debt through joyous service rather than painful experiences.

This also illustrates the beauty of BECOMING. As we become that which we decide to become we discover more levers that give us accelerating power to make our decisions a reality. We receive joy and peace as additional levers are registered by our consciousness and used with wisdom. In fact the Brotherhood of Light are often called the Masters of Wisdom.

Recognizing True Messengers

Jesus had some pretty strong words for people who considered themselves the enlightened in his day:

Alas for you, lawyers and Pharisees, hypocrites ! You build up the tombs of the prophets and embellish the monuments of the saints, and you say, “If we had been alive in our fathers’ time, we should never have taken part with them in the murder of the prophets.” So you acknowledge that you are the sons of the men who killed the prophets. Go on then, finish off what your fathers began!

You snakes, you vipers’ brood, how can you escape being condemned to hell? I send you therefore prophets, sages, and teachers; some of them you will kill and crucify, others you will flog in your synagogues and hound from city to city. Matt 23:29-34 New English

Notice that these people who are now known for participating in the crucifixion of Christ and the later persecution of his followers to prison and to death thought that if they had lived in the days of the prophets, such as Moses, Jeremiah or Elijah, they would not have rejected them or sought their lives. Surely, they thought that they would have stepped forward to help. They would have stood with Moses and not worshipped the golden calf. They would not have thrown Jeremiah in a pit, nor would they need Elijah to bring fire from heaven to prove he was a prophet. They saw themselves as the good guys in the present who would have also been the good guys in the past.

Jesus, who must have heard such talk in their conversations, replied starkly that they did not see themselves correctly. If they had lived in the days of the prophets they would have shared in the mob mentality and soon in the present they would prove Jesus correct by showing their true colors.

This incident gives us good food for thought for our own consideration. We need to ask ourselves that had we lived in the days of Jesus would we had been one of the 120 that believed on him after the crucifixion, or even during his life?

He tells us that he will come again. Most Christians think he will come in such a blaze of glory that it will be obvious who he is, but suppose he comes again like he did last time – as a regular mortal.

How many would recognize him then?

Djwhal Khul through Alice A. Bailey gave out many teachings and has many followers in the esoteric world. He tells us that he will teach again around 2025.

Suppose that there are a dozen people claiming to be his new vessel. Do you think that you could pick the real one? And what if none of them represented the true DK?

After all, students will recall that he did not reveal who he was last time. Someone else let his identity slip out against his will.

So it may be possible that none of the claimants will represent the real DK. The real vessel may be an unknown who just posts enlightening material on the internet.

And suppose the real spokesperson says something positive about a controversial Republican or Democrat? Would this cause you to write the whole of the teachings off?

I guarantee this would happen with many.

One of the reasons that enlightened prophets and teachers are rejected by the very ones who are supposed to be expecting them is this. The Spiritual Hierarchy does not like to repeat itself. If a teaching is out there and it is clearly written then it violates the law of economy to just repeat it again. All any regular mortal has to do is reference a page number.

When a true teacher arrives he will present something new and different – something thought provoking that will stimulate thinking and move forward spiritual evolution.

In the days of Jesus the devout were expecting a messiah. Some were expecting him to come in a blaze of glory, similar to the Christian expectation of the Second Coming today. Others saw him as one like Moses who would deliver them from the Romans as Moses delivered he Israelites from Egypt.

As far as teachings go they expected an extension of the Lawgiver, Moses, who would place great emphasis on living the letter of the law.

As it turned out, Jesus was none of these things. He didn’t deliver the people from the Romans. He not only didn’t place emphasis on the law, but seemed to disregard it. Instead of concentrating on refining the law he had a new message centered on love. They had never heard anyone teach such a thing before.

Since Jesus did not correspond to their expectations they rejected him outright and put him to death for blasphemy.

It is interesting to contemplate what he will teach when he comes again. Most are expecting a repeat of what he gave us last time. These are likely to be disappointed and not recognize him. Of course, he will not contradict what he gave out last time, but we must be prepared for the fact that he will teach many new things that will far surpass what we have in the Bible.

And how about DK? Again the new teachings will be in harmony with those given through Alice A. Bailey but he will move on to new material, much of which may be rejected by Bailey students, just because they are new and different.

The last time he taught we went through a great division resulting in World War II. He was one of the few teachers that called it right on Hitler from the beginning. Most teachers either tolerated him or embraced much of what he stood for. Just before the war almost every prediction from the alternative folks was there was nothing to worry about, that there would be no war.

If, when he teaches again, we are still in a state of great political conflict as we are today he may give out some controversial teachings and mantras in an attempt to bring students together as he did last time. Will those who are attached to their ideals reject him just as the idealists did last time?

Unfortunately, it is often the case that several generations must pass before the true avatars are recognized by the many, or even a significant number. But let us hope that we can raise our consciousness up so we can appreciate true messengers when they are here in front of our eyes, instead of merely participating in building beautiful monuments to their name after they are gone.

Closing remarks

JJ: I was going to go into cycles and global warming and what were we to expect in cycles. One of the things that I will say that I find kind of interesting is I have done some reflecting on the cycles and I think we will have a warming period as we are having now but I do not think that it will last and by somewhere around the year 2030 we are going to have another cooling period and then this global warming idea will have to be completely revamped in people’s minds because I do not know why but many people have it stuck in their mind that because we are releasing more carbon dioxide that we are just going to get warmer and warmer forever and they forget about the normal cycles that have been with us just about forever and ever.

Sharón: Light keepers say that always before a cooling period with the earth that it always looks like a warming cycle but then it cools and we head into a colder cycle.

JJ: That’s right, before every ice age there is a warming cycle. Those that seriously studied it are more worried about an ice age than global warming. Now it is possible that we are emitting enough carbon dioxide into the atmosphere to make the difference between an ice age and just a cooling period and that would be a nice thing. What would be funny and very humorous is if all this carbon dioxide and greenhouse gasses is actually going to save us from a drastic ice age for ice ages are a lot tougher on humanity than a warming cycle.

The last major ice age was about 11,500 years ago and then there was an even worse one about 30,000 years ago. An interesting book is “Unstoppable Global Warming every 1500 years” and he says that for the past couple million years there has been a 1500 year cycle of warming and cooling and these cycles are a part of greater cycles.

Here are some of the more recent ones: Between 600 to 200 BC we had an unnamed cool period that preceded the Roman warming then from 200 BC to about 600 AD. We had a warming period and then from 600 AD to 900 AD we had the dark ages that was also a cold age for we had a mini ice age during that time period. Then we had the medieval warming period between 900 to 1300 and during this time Greenland was discovered and it was actually green. They went there and raised hay and cattle and it was a lot warmer than it is today. Then from 1300 it started to cool and after that time people started to freeze to death in Greenland and all the villages could not sustain themselves with growing food anymore so they either had to leave or starve so there was hardly anyone left by around 1400.

From 1300 to 1850 was a little ice age and I think by 1816 or something like that we had a major volcanic eruption that spread ash all around the world and it became the year without a summer. This was a period of great distress all over the world and during this time period crops failed everywhere. It is a miracle that people survived as good as they did.

So we had the little ice age from 1300 to 1850. As this wasa winding down we were fighting the Revolutionary War. We just cannot appreciate the cold that the poor soldiers had to endure for the cold was extremely bitter, much worse than it is today. When George Washington crossed the Potomac there was all kinds of ice build up in the river because it was such a cool period and at Valley Forge everybody just about froze to death.

Then between 1850 to 1940 we had another warming period. especially between 1920 to 1940. Some may say that is because of all the carbon dioxide that we began to release into the atmosphere. But the first great s urge of Human caused CO2 began at World War II and from 1940 to 1975 we had a cooling period. So we had a lot of carbon dioxide going into the air and yet it cooled during 1940 to 1975 and right around 1975 when it had cooled for 25 years straight pretty much everybody was talking about that it looked like we were entering an ice age.

Newsweek had a big front page article about the coming ice age and that we had to do something to prevent it just like they are talking about today that we must do something to prevent the warming age. From 1979 to the present there is a large disparity between surface thermometers, which show a fairly strong warming, and independent satellite readings, which show only a slight warming, trend. Global warming alarmists emphasize the land based thermometers but what is interesting are satellite measurements that they think is more accurate show just a very slight warming trend.

What is interesting about global warming is that unfortunately it has become a political issue and one side of the political fence believes global warming hook, line and sinker and the other side of the global warming fence is accused of not believing in global warming which is not true. They believe it is mainly not man made and it is just a natural cycle but they are called global warming deniers and this is what they call people like me. This is incorrect named calling. I do not deny anything but am skeptical of any prediction that cannot yet be proven to be accurate.

Everyone that believes the way I do is not a global warming denier, we look at the temperature readings and accept them for what they are. The earth has warmed slightly over the past 100 years and the land based measurements say about a degree, the satellite measurements say maybe about a couple of a tenths of a degree or something like that. Whatever it is, that is what we accept.

But whatever it is, it has become a political issue with people throwing accusations back and forth. Instead of throwing accusations why don’t we look and discover what the real truth is. One meteorologist came forward and just questioned some of the views of global warming that were prevalent and one of bureaucrats in charge of the global warming thing comes up and threatens his job and he says I am going to destroy you completely unless you change your mind. A number of meteorologists have come forward to say that they disagree with some of the global warming conclusions and their jobs are threatened. There is a lot of threats and intimidation to try to attack anyone who comes presents an unorthodox view.

Why is it that they say that all the scientists agree on global warming? Well they created this IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) for the UN that is supposedly composed of a whole bunch of scientists but unfortunately the leaders of the panel are not scientists but bureaucrats with an agenda and they pay these scientists to come up with research and if their research does not point in the direction that the bureaucrats want then they cease to get funding.

They take the findings from the scientists and compile them together to fulfill their own agenda. Scientists that are not connected with these panels come up with an all together different conclusion than the UN panels and the UN claim that they have ten thousand scientists or whatever but on the other side has written statements that are contrary to that too. So you have thousands of scientists against thousands of scientists and what is interesting is not so much that the scientists disagree but that we have different scientists with different motives.

The truth is we find what we look for and if the scientists are paid to find something then they will find something because if they do not find it then they lose their grant and funding and lose their jobs so they are going to find something that keeps their employer happy. The independent scientists that are looking into it have very different findings than the ones whose job depends on getting specific results.

The problem is that the political agenda behind global warming is not to save the planet from global warming it is to change our way of life. The plan is to take away 80% of the greenhouse gasses that we emit in the next 20, 30, 40, 50 years and that would completely alter our economy and they want us to do it without nuclear energy using only solar panels and wind power which with our current technology can only provide us with maybe 2% to 3% of our current use of energy.

Nuclear energy has the capacity to provide 100% of our needs but they are against doing that. Al Gore and many of the UN scientists are against using nuclear energy and the bureaucrats certainly are and so what their draconian steps would do is completely take away our prosperity and our potential for freedom so that we could be taken over by a dictator and a one world government in the wrong direction could materialize.

So this is something for people that believe in freedom to stand up for. The interesting thing about carbon dioxide is that when it is emitted as a greenhouse gas – as it increases in density it inversely decreases in its power to produce a greenhouse effect. So if you double the amount of carbon dioxide the amount of the effect is reduced by 50%. All the scientists that support the global warming theory do not tell you that. They just act like that if we double the amount of carbon dioxide then we will have double the effect. When we double the amount of carbon dioxide then the amount the increase will affect global warming will go way down. We would have to introduce a lot of carbon dioxide to produce the effect that they are trying to scare us into thinking that is happening.

Audience: Aren’t these people looking at France that gets like 88% of their energy from nuclear power?

JJ: France is doing great, they get 80% of their electricity from nuclear power. The same people that are against global warming are fighting to get France to switch to some other form of providing power. Right now Germany who is trying to be green has to buy much of their electricity from France because they cannot produce it with the solar panels and wind and all this type of thing and yet they preach to everybody about remaining green whereas France is a big supplier of electricity for Europe right now. France has their faults but in the way of energy they did it right. They entered the mental plane and they planned. This happened in the days of oil embargo and the middle east oil was threatened to go up about double in a two week time period and it scared the dickens out of everybody and France said that we do not have any oil resources so we have to do something practical. As a result they developed nuclear energy and I would say that France would be completely falling apart now if they had not done this and have that nuclear energy as a base.

We could have nuclear energy as a base and we could power the United States indefinitely. Instead of putting the nuclear waste in Yucca Mountain by using fast breeder reactors we could power this country for thousand years just recycling the waste and use the energy to power electric cars and be completely independent. But unfortunately President Clinton stopped the research into the breeder reactors. But fortunately France is continuing research in breeder reactors. So when we finally get enough common sense turn around on nuclear energy we will most likely have to go to France to get our breeder reactors. The breeder reactor was developed right here in Arco, Idaho and this is where they actually created the technology where they can reprocess the waste and turn it into power that could power us for a thousand years but because of short-sightedness this has become a pipe dream.

May the next generation be wiser than the last.

McCall Gathering 2007, Part 53

Labor XII

The Capture of the Red Cattle of Geryon (Pisces)

JJ: The twelfth and final labor is the capture of the red cattle of Geryon in Pisces.

Proceed to that dark place called Erytheia, the red place it is, where great illusion is enthroned, where Geryon the monster of three heads, three bodies and six hands, is lord and king. There is a king there that unlawfully holds a herd of cattle that are red in hue. Hercules is to take these cattle and then herd them to the sacred city where they will be safely taken care of but he is to beware of the Shepherd and his two-headed dog. He is to invoke the aid of Helios, the god of the sun.

Okay so Hercules was commanded to go and capture these red cattle and take them to the sacred city. So again he contemplates, how am I going to do this? First of all he has to get to the land of Erytheia and he had to cross a body of water and he does not know how to cross this body of water so he meditates for seven days and lo and behold a bright object falls in front of him. It is a big cup – a symbol of the Holy Grail or something like that and he gets in this cup and sails across this body of water and arrives in the land of Geryon where he goes after the red cattle.

As he goes after the red cattle he finds he has to fight the Shepherd and his two headed dog. He kills the two-headed dog right off the bat because he is a lot stronger now and he does not have to fight so hard because his strength has increased now he is in the twelfth labor. The Shepherd says, “no do not hurt me and I will cooperate,” so he lets the Shepherd live and takes him along with him. Then he goes and finds the cattle and begins to herd them toward the sacred city and as he does this he has all kinds of obstacles along the way.

A giant threw a boulder at him and he caught it and just threw it off to the side. Other people tried to hurt him, a wrestler came and tried to overcome Hercules and he could not. Thieves came in the night and tried to steal the cattle and Hercules had to go and run them down and bring back the cattle. All kinds of things happened on the way to the sacred city to disrupt the cattle and each time Hercules had to keep gathering them back together but eventually he got the cattle to the sacred city where they belonged.

This is the twelfth labor and we all know that the Piscean age savior was Jesus and He is symbolic of Hercules in the twelfth labor. Who are the red cattle?

Audience: The disciples?

JJ: The red cattle are the people that are looking for a teacher and he has to go and gather them. In order to get to them he has to overcome the Shepherd and his two-headed dog. The two-headed dog represents matter and the pull of matter and also astral force. The Shepherd represents thought. Hercules killed the dog because it represented the lower forces that were trying to prevent him from helping the cattle but the Shepherd plead for his life and he let him live because the mind was capable of assisting him so the Shepherd (mind) continued to assist. In the Bible the Shepherd that took care of the sheep so to speak, the followers were called sheep and the teachers were called Shepherd’s and the Shepherd’s were praised if they led the people correctly and they were criticized in the scriptures if they did not lead them correctly. So you had good Shepherds and bad Shepherds and this particular Shepherd was bad to begin with because he was associated with his two-headed dog on the astral but he decided to repent and elevate his thoughts.

Hercules felt the Shepherd’s thoughts could be elevated to a useful level so he let him live and come along. The cattle represents us as people that are followers of Christ and Hercules of course also represents us and the Christ within ourselves. We have the Christ within ourselves that has to herd us and the red symbolizes our lower nature. He has to herd us and our lower nature to the sacred city and the sacred city represents a number of things, especially the soul. The mission of Christ is to deliver us to our soul nature and deliver himself to his higher nature and then his mission is finished.

The Labors of Hercules is quite interesting and I have been tempted to re-write the whole thing to add some interpretive thoughts. The basic labors themselves and their teachings are very fascinating and they have a lot to teach and a lot of correspondence to humanity.

Audience: I thought the Labors of Hercules went counterclockwise?

JJ: They did. Counterclockwise is from Aries to Pisces and in the Zodiac Pisces backwards to Aries is clockwise according to DK. It is a bit confusing because Aries to Pisces seems to be the normal direction. But as far as incarnation goes and apparently looking at the Zodiac in the sky Aries to Pisces is counterclockwise.

Audience: Are the labors always taken in order?

JJ: I think what happens in real life is that they are not always in order whether you are going clockwise or counterclockwise and what will happen is you will go through a sign and if you do not learn the lesson then you will go back and if you are not ready to correct the mistake, because sometimes when you make a big mistake you have got to have a little rest and recreation in between before you have the inner fortitude to correct it. So sometimes you will come back in a different sign and have a break because they say doing something different is really a rest. So you do something different in another sign and then you go back. I think there is fluctuation back and forth.

I have studied a number of individuals in their lives and sometimes they go from one sign to another and the progression is like clockwork and then it will be all out of sync and then I think it goes back again but I do not think it is an iron clad black and white thing. For instance, when Hercules found the doe it says that he went back a number of times – apparently in the same sign but was it all in one sequence? I do not know. Maybe he performed one labor, did three of them in sequence went back and chased the doe again because he liked chasing after it for it was fun after he knew what he was doing.

None of these labors are black and white and no rules are applicable in all circumstance. Like it says in Ecclesiastes “There is a time for war, a time for peace, a time to hate, a time to love, there is a time and purpose for everything under heaven.” And so we cannot really look at anything completely in black and white because there is an exception for all things. Once we are on a certain path there is always some reason to detour for a period of time and take care of something. That is what makes it hard to put it into a mathematical formula for a lot of these things just apply as general rule.
