Spiritual Expression

Spiritual Expression

DK says, “The long divorce between religion and politics must be ended…” Reappearance of the Christ, Page 18

Now most people in religion, philosophy and metaphysics, as well as politics, believe in the complete separation of church and state – but DK seems to believe otherwise.

How do you suppose the “long divorce between religion and politics” will come to an end? How will they work together?

First, let me make one point perfectly clear, with which I am sure DK would agree, as well as all people in this group.

The Founders of the Republic sought to create a union which would not be subject to a state religion as existed in other countries. In other words, each person should have the freedom to worship how, where and what they may.

This idea is being more universally accepted all the time. There are a few holdouts across the world where citizens are restricted in their freedom to worship, but overall this particular type of separation has been deemed good by the majority. To understand the great progress we have made, it is helpful to examine the control of religion just a few hundred years ago compared to today.

Now reflect back in Book III, The Lost Key, where we have the example of the swinging pendulum. The teaching is that we humans tend to be extremists. When we realize the error of our ways in one extreme, instead of just making the correction, we swing over to the other extreme, missing the point of truth in the middle.

The saving grace of this is that with each swing the extreme is a little less because the force of gravity (spirit) and friction (reason) slows it down.

The point is that a few hundred years ago the swing of politics and religion was on one extreme (no separation) and now it is on another extreme, which is too much separation.

What do I mean when I say too much separation? I mean that the political process has moved way beyond the separation necessary to insure freedom of religion and is seeking to insulate people from religion – sometimes termed “freedom from religion.”

Here are some examples of this overkill.

  1. Seeking to take prayer out of schools even if it is voluntary and non denominational. It is interesting that Congress, who supports this, begins their meetings with a prayer.
  2. Prohibiting anyone employed by the government or students from making any reference to God or religion in speeches.
  3. Seeking to prevent students from wearing religious jewelry.
  4. Seeking to change the meaning of religious holidays, such as Christmas, insisting on using the phrase “happy holidays” rather than “Merry Christmas.”
  5. Seeking to force cities to remove religious symbols from their logos, seals, stationary etc. There is also a movement to force cities to remove all crosses and scriptural references on public land – and sometimes private land.

For instance, here in Boise is a cross on a hill overlooking the city that was placed there by the JC’s back in the 1950’s. They actually bought the land and placed it there. Even so, there is a strong movement and lawsuits to force the city to remove it with the idea that it may offend some non-Christians.

Many people in the city are outraged by this movement, even many non believers. I personally have no attachment to the symbol of the cross (which was an instrument of death), but it represents a part of our history and it has great meaning to the majority of the population.

In the views of many these types of extreme separation represent intolerance and small-mindedness. Many feel that the state should be more tolerant of religious expression whether it be Christian, Buddhist, Moslem etc., as long as that expression does not lean toward something harmful.

So what is the middle way here? How tolerant and involved should the state be with religion?

I think the rule of thumb should be this:

The state should not impose any religion, but neither should it oppose any spiritual thought which seeks to elevate the spirit of man.

If some group wishes to put up some statue of Christ, Mohammed or Buddha on public land, this should be looked upon with the same consideration as other groups seeking to erect a statue of Washington, Edison or Porky Pig. The basic question should be answered by examining the will of the community to discover if the general population would be enriched by it.

The latest election has the pundits of the country contemplating the people of the heartland who dominated the results. Some are starting to realize that the national media and politics may have strayed too far from religion as a point of discussion, for it is still an important subject to so many.

What I see is needed is greater freedom of expression of religious, philosophical and even metaphysical points of view. If you think the media is intolerant of traditional religious expression just try to throw some good metaphysical or New Age material at them.

Jerry Brown hinted at some new age thought and the press immediately nicknamed him “moonbeam,” which doomed his political future. The media made so much fun of Shirley MacLaine’s public expressions that she became reluctant to talk about her views.

We need to become more tolerant of public expression of spiritual thought without immediately becoming reactionary and accusing the person of imposing his views. As long as a person’s views are not imposed by force of law he ought to be able to freely express them.

The time needs to come again that that world will embrace politicians who are also spiritual people and teachers, who will elevate the hearts of the governed. Marcus Aurelius, the Roman emperor, was a great example of this. Not only was he a politician, but he was a spiritual philosopher who taught his people and was loved by them.

The spiritual politicians of the future will lead the world toward the path of peace and “right sharing” as DK calls it, but notice the word “right.” There is a sharing which does more harm than good and a sharing which truly helps those in need.

Future politicians will also lead us toward “right human relations,” and this will be accomplished again through the teaching of spiritual principles.

It is silly to think that the teaching of science, history, politics, literature, the arts, etc is good for the state to support while spiritual philosophy is to be completely ignored.

Freedom of expression must be encouraged all the way around for a nation to be whole (holy).

DK makes another interesting statement in Chapter Two:

“He (Christ when he comes again) will be limited by the quality and the caliber of the invocative appeal of humanity and that, in its turn, is conditioned by the attained point in evolution.” Reappearance of the Christ, Page 18

The average believer thinks that Christ will be unlimited when he comes again, but here we are told of a limitation.

Question: What does this statement tell us about the quality of the teachings that Christ will give us?

What is the key to make sure that Christ will share great mysteries with us?

ACIM Conversations, Part 12

ACIM Conversations, Part 12

The Eternal Idea

Student: Last time we talked about the fascinating teaching calling the separation “an instant that is relived again and again and still again.” M-2.3 & 4 We concluded that it is not the same Sons who are doing this but it fulfilled the desire of the newly created Sons wanting to have the experience. Does this mean that the separation will never be completely healed?

Teacher: Yes and no.

Student: Why am I not surprised that the answer is not simple?

Teacher: It is simple once it is understood. Let us first review an important principle taught in the Course. Do you recall that it teaches that the purpose of the Son is to create?

Student: Yes.

Teacher: And that which the Son creates are more Sons which expands the real universe itself?

Student: Yes, I found that an interesting teaching that the Course plainly teaches but went over my head.

Teacher: And here is the crucial question. How long do the creations of the Son last?

Student: I believe it is eternity.

Teacher: Correct. Read again the passage we ended with in our last discussion

Student: “What God and His Sons create is eternal” T-8.VI.3 and “The circle of creation has no end.” T-28.II.1

Teacher: On the other hand, all things in this world of form, time and space are not eternal but will have an end. Read this:

Student: “The stars will disappear, and night and day will be no more. All things that come and go, the tides, the seasons and the lives of men; all things that change with time and bloom and fade will not return. Where time has set an end is not where the eternal is.” T-29.VI.2

Teacher: So, even the sun and the stars which last billions of years will someday have an end. All things will eventually end in this world, even the universe itself. If this is the case, how could it be created by the Son when all that the Son creates is eternal?

Student: Good question. I guess we are to believe the Son went temporarily insane, split his mind and in his wrong mind created this world of illusion.

Teacher: And what is the difference between the world of illusion and the eternal world?

Student: Everything in this world has a beginning and an end while everything in heaven is eternal

Teacher: And because everything in time and space will have an end and be as if it never was, the Course sometimes refers to this world as something that does not exist, but even a temporary dream has an existence, just not an existence in the waking world. Read these quotes:

Student: “Here the world of idols has been set by the idea this power and place and time are given form, and shape the world where the impossible has happened.” T-29.VIII.6 “Truth and illusions both are equal now, for both have happened. The impossible becomes the thing you need forgiveness for, salvation from.” W-pI.99.2

Teacher: So what happened?

Student: The impossible.

Teacher: And what is that?

Student: I suppose it is the creation or making of this temporary world of illusion

Teacher: And why is it called impossible?

Student: Because what the Son creates is supposed to be eternal and all things in this world are not eternal and will have an end.

Teacher: Since it is impossible for the Son, who is like the Father, to create anything that is not eternal then how could that which is temporary also be eternal?

Student: You got me there. That doesn’t sound possible.

Teacher: Yet it is possible. Do you remember what the Course called the separation in the beginning?

Student: It called it “a mad idea.”

Teacher: And can an idea be destroyed?

Student: I suppose it can be put aside, but I would have to say that you cannot destroy it

Teacher: And the Course affirms this. It says, “my words make perfect sense because they come from God. They are as sensible now as they ever were, because they speak of ideas that are eternal.” T-9.IV.4

We are told that this mad idea first surfaced in a past so ancient that it is beyond the reach of any memory, but here we are still talking about it. Is this not proof that even a mad idea is eternal?

Student: It would seem so.

Teacher: So the Son who can only create the eternal gets the mad idea to create that which is not eternal. Again, I ask how can that which is not eternal be eternal?

Student: You tell me.

Teacher: No. You tell me after you read again the quote from the beginning of our conversation.

Student: (He reads that the mad idea is) “an instant that is relived again and again and still again.” M-2.3 & 4

Teacher: So how can that which is not eternal be eternal?

Student: I think I finally see it. All ideas of the Son are eternal and the idea to create the temporary is also eternal if the temporary is created “again and again and still again.”

Teacher: And who is it that would desire to enter into the dreamworld again?

Student: The newly created Sons.

Teacher: The time will come when all the stars and the whole universe will be no more. Does this mean that the idea behind the universe of time and space is no more?

Student: The idea would still be there.

Teacher: And would there be anything stopping a group of all powerful Sons from manifesting it again, if they desired?

Student: I suppose not.

Teacher: And on a miniature scale let me ask you this. Do you just have one dream during one night or do you have many dreams over many nights?

Student: Many dreams.

Teacher: And correspondingly would the Sons of God just have one dream and wake up with no Sons ever having a dream again?

Student: What you’re saying does make sense. Various Sons create a dream like this world “again and again and still again,” for an idea is eternal and cannot be destroyed.

Teacher: So that which is temporary can be eternal if it repeats forever- as the Course  says “The circle of creation has no end.” T-28.II.1

Student: I can see now that all things the Son creates is eternal just as the Course says. It is like an eternal round or circle of creation. This is fascinating to contemplate.

The Mean God

The Mean God

Reader comment referring to my previous comments on the prophesy of Malachi: “Wow. So, if we don’t do what God tells us to do all life on earth will be destroyed? No pressure there! This is the kind of God that has no place in my life.”

JJ: This has nothing to do with whether God is good or evil or whether we like him or not. It has nothing to do with God being angry because we do not obey. It’s more like a man saying: “Do not take this road because the bridge is out.” God, or Higher Intelligence, is the messenger here and it pays to not shoot the messenger.

God himself is subject to the laws of cause and effect and when a cause is set in motion then it must play out. For example, if a person decides to drive over a cliff no one is going to stop him. If he wants to self destruct and set in motion the cause then the effect will follow, unless some loved one steps in and influences him to change.

Humanity, as a whole, operates on a similar principle to a smaller life. If the human race makes a decision to self destruct, then they have the power to do so. Loved ones (masters, disciples and leaders) may try to create an influence to change the outcome, but it is a folly to think that bad things cannot happen to humanity just because there is more at stake than for a single human.

Every once in a while a supernova goes off in the galaxy and a whole solar system is exploded into oblivion in an instant. The lives who live there could just think God is mean or they can realize that cause and effect rule in the universe and no life, not even God, can interfere with the results of a determined free will.

DK talks about the possibility of the earth being destroyed. He doesn’t expect it to happen, but says if it does we’ll just build a new and better world for our next attempt.

I personally believe that we will have some nerve-wracking points of tension during the transition to the new age, but I believe the light is strong enough that we will create a better world for ourselves.

Religion and Politics

I have been thinking about politics and religion/spirituality and have come to an interesting thought.

It seems that most political types (as a whole) do not like discussing religion or bringing religion into the political arena.

On the other hand, many of the religious/spiritual/metaphysical types do not like discussing politics or bringing it into the spiritual equation.

This latter fact was really brought home to me during the last gathering. As I started to present the Principles of Political Unification it wasn’t long until many of the audience got up and left. During the break I talked with several of these and they complained that they did not come a long distance to listen to politics.

Now keep in mind that the topic of political unification was not partisan in any way so this was not what offended them, but the subject of politics itself.

I think we are entering a time in which we must realize that politics and religion are merely two branches of a vaster subject, a little like the right and left brain function making up the thinking of the whole brain. If we divorce ourselves from either the thinking side, or the emotional side, we will not be whole. Even so, politics and religion are both spiritual when looked at synthetically.

Politics is centered around the life principle, designed to give us the trinity of order, security and certainty.

Religion is centered around death and the unknown and is designed to give us faith, love and comfort in the midst of uncertainty.

We cannot live life to its fullest without understanding death, not can we die in peace if we have not faced life and made the best of it.

That said let me give a quote from chapter two of the Reappearance about this subject:

“The common people are today awakening to the importance and responsibility of government; it is, therefore, realized by the Hierarchy that before the cycle of true democracy (as it essentially exists and will eventually demonstrate) can come into being, the education of the masses in cooperative statesmanship, in economic stabilization through right sharing, and in clean, political interplay is imperatively necessary. The long divorce between religion and politics must be ended and this can now come about because of the high level of the human mass intelligence and the fact that science has made all men so close  that what happens in some remote area of the earth’s surface is a matter of general interest within a few minutes. This makes it uniquely possible for Him to work in the future.” The Reappearance of the Christ, Pages 18-19

Notice that he makes a quite controversial statement:

“The long divorce between religion and politics must be ended…”

Now most people in religion, philosophy and metaphysics, as well as politics, believe in the separation of church and state – but DK seems to believe otherwise.

How do you suppose the “long divorce between religion and politics” will come to an end? How will they work together?

Does this have anything to do with the coming of Christ?

Recognizing Christ

Recognizing Christ

Because of the way the general Bible story reads it appears that Christ was easily recognized as the messiah by his disciples.

I do not think any of the disciples realized right away that the Christ was in their midst. On the other hand, they did realize he was a great teacher and an astounding person and they suspected he could be the Christ but they did not know for sure who was in their midst for some time.

As evidence of this we know that most of the disciples of Christ were previously disciples of John the Baptist and even he, the greatest prophet who ever lived (according to Jesus) did not know for sure. If the original teacher of the disciples did not know it is highly unlikely that the students saw more than the teacher.

Here’s is John’s own admission that he did not know him:

“This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. AND I KNEW HIM NOT: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.” John 1:30-31

So why does John say he knew him not? This scripture explains:

“And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.” Luke 7:19-22

Notice that even after John had baptized Jesus and had witnessed the Christ descend upon him as a dove he still had his doubts. After all, Jesus was his cousin and it is especially difficult to believe that a family member could have such a great calling.

Notice here that Jesus was quite frustrated in his desire to be recognized correctly by the disciples:

“Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” John 14:8-9

The “Father” here was of course, the Christ who dwelt within him. This scripture tells us that even though they suspected he was Christ they did not really understand fully who he was.

It was some time unto his mission that Jesus asked his disciples this question:

“He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 16:15-17

Why did Jesus ask the disciples this question after the disciples had been with him for some period of time? If there was no doubt among the disciples and it was general knowledge that all accepted him as the Christ then there would have been no need for this question.

In answer, Peter stepped forward and affirmed his witness. Earlier he expressed confidence that Jesus was the Christ (see John 6:69), but he is the only one of the apostles who actually mentions it.

I believe there was doubt among the disciples and this is why Jesus asked them “whom say ye that I am?” He wanted Peter to affirm his witness and help to remove doubt in the eyes of some.

But also take note of this. Even though Peter acknowledged that Jesus was the “Son of the Living God,” this did not stop him from denying his Lord three times and, after the crucifixion, he did not believe he would rise again. None of the disciples believed in the resurrection until they saw the empty tomb and the resurrected Christ.

Is it any wonder that, even though Peter (and possibly other disciples) expressed undying belief in Jesus he still said to him:

“… when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:32

Converted to what?

Converted to an unshakeable witness that he truly was the Christ.

The bottom line is this. Even some of the most enlightened disciples have difficulty in recognizing a true prophet or avatar in their midst. When Christ comes, unannounced, with no star of Bethlehem, with no wise men, with no angels singing, with no outstanding miracles, then who will see him because of the eternal words and works that he shall initiate?

Even some who see themselves as disciples will feel indignation and rage because of him. The most sensitive of disciples may suspect his identity but will be hesitant to believe.

The authority of Christ, when he comes, will not be the authority of the beast which demands worship and recognition, but it will be a spiritual authority which is willing to work with little or no recognition and wait for history to judge his work.

Preparing for the Reappearance

Preparing for the Reappearance

DK writes: “The reason He has not come again is that the needed work has not been done by his followers in all countries.” The Reappearance of the Christ, Page 12

It’s been many years since he wrote this. Has much preparation been done in this time? What else needs done to prepare for the coming of the Lord?

We received a number of good comments from this question such as:

  • There is a need for better human relationships with individuals and groups.
  • The need for a greater point of tension.
  • The need for planned communities and a gathering of the lights.
  • The need for a greater sense of purpose.
  • It was pointed out that the advance of civil and women’s rights was a step in the right direction.

A reader here has identified an area of true progress which has been made. The progress we have made in rights has definitely been a step in the right direction, but unfortunately the pendulum has swung to the other extreme to the point where many are fanatical in this respect, even attempting to give vegetation and animals the same rights as humans. This has been the cause of excessive litigation and division among the people.

The solution boils down to the principle of right human relations. When we learn to treat our brother with civility and kindness and attain some ability to compromise all the other problems will become manageable.

The problem of right human relations is coming to a point of tension with the coming U.S. election. Even if there is a clear winner we will have a problem of acceptance, but God forbid, if there is another disputed election, we are likely to have something close to a civil war.

Here are some other things which have been accomplished since 1945 which improve the conditions for the coming of Christ.

  1. Many understand the principle of the Christ consciousness and speak openly about it.
  2. Increased interest in metaphysical teachings such as reincarnation, ancient mysteries, eastern religions, cosmology, symbolism etc.
  3. Increased interest in general health, self-improvement etc,
  4. Greater employee participation and sharing in business.
  5. More cooperation among the nations despite the recent setbacks.
  6. Realization by many that the churches are out of date and the resistance to unearned authority by numerous members.
  7. The introduction of the computer and the internet.
  8. Rock and roll. This may seem an odd one but the new music did a lot to bring the Sixties generation together.
  9. Talk radio and the many selections we have for information and news. With a wider variety of media then no longer can a point of view be forced upon the many by the few.

What yet needs done?

  1. Greater interest needs to be stimulated in the people for greater light and truth. Too many are satisfied with what they have.
  2. Disciples need to take their jobs more seriously and learn to initiate and follow through.
  3. The Lights need to gather on the internet and in the physical. If there is no one to understand and act on the message of Christ then there is little need for him to come.
  4. A lot of work is still needed on right human relations. There are three points of tension which will tell the tale. First is the working out of the conflict between Israel and her enemies. The second is the handling of the terrorist threat. Third is the resolving of the conflict, especially in the U.S., between conservatives and liberals. This needs to occur over the next twenty years. (Written in 2004)

When these three conflicts are resolved to the point where good will can prevail then a major roadblock to the coming of Christ will be removed.

Question: What if humanity fails and the needed preparations are not done? What will happen then?

The answer really lies hidden in another question. How bad is the negligence of humanity in preparing the way of Christ?

If the needed preparations are made then he will come within a generation and fulfill his mission.

On the other hand, if disciples and humanity are negligent the results depend upon the degree of failure.

If the failure is such that the mistakes can be corrected then there may be delays with a successful return but the mission will be accomplished. The Christ may decide to use an overshadowing rather than a direct appearance.

If the negligence is bad enough then we have to worry about the prophecy of Elijah coming true. Below is an edited version of a previous post elaborating on this.

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse..” Malachi 4:5-6

To understand the meaning one must examine the key word here which is the mistranslated “curse.” The word comes from CHEREM which literally means “utter destruction” or “extermination.” It is translated as “utter destruction” in I Samuel 15:20.

It is derived from and very similar in meaning to CHARAM.

Here are some verses where this word is used:

“Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly (CHARAM): let nothing of her be left.” Jeremiah 50:26

“He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed” (CHARAM). Exodus 22:20

We are thus told that the entire earth is in danger of having all life “utterly destroyed” unless we “turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers.”

The first question is what is meant by the children turning their hearts to their fathers?

Answer: This means that we should study the history of our fathers or those who came before us, not only from the scriptures but from all possible accurate historical records.

Why?

Because history repeats itself if we do not learn the lessons of our fathers. This is one reason why the study of the rise of Nazi Germany and Hitler are so important. If we understand what happened there, we can prevent another antichrist from coming to the surface. A Hitler in this age would be much more dangerous than one previously because we now have the power to destroy human existence as we know it.

Thus, one key to preventing the “utter destruction” of the earth is to learn from the mistakes of our fathers.

From a scriptural viewpoint we must also learn of the promises of God to the fathers, and the most prominent of them all is the promise of the gathering of Israel or the gathering of those who have the Holy Spirit within them.

The second key to preventing the destruction of the world as we know it is to turn the “heart of the fathers to the children.”

What does this mean?

We are the children of the fathers past, but we are the fathers (and of course mothers) of all future generations. Unless we as a human race cease having our hearts merely centered on our little selves and enlarge our capacity to reach out to our children of future generations and seek to make the world a better place for them, these future children may not even be born because of the destruction we could bring upon ourselves.

Too many Bible believers have withdrawn their responsibility to make the world better for our children. Instead they sit around waiting for God to destroy the world and wind up being of no use to God or man in the process.

This type of cop-out is exactly what Malachi warned us of. Instead of sitting back and waiting for God to do it our hearts much reach across time and sense our personal responsibility to rising generations.

If we sense this what will we do?

  1. Seek to bring peace on earth through the free will of man.
  2. Seek the mutual elimination of weapons of mass destruction.
  3. Seek to cease polluting the earth and being an enemy to nature using common sense solutions.
  4. Seek to love our neighbor as ourselves.
  5. Seek to love children yet unborn as ourselves.

Notice that Malachi does not seal our doom. Instead be gives us the solution, the way of escape from a great peril and that put simply is this:

“Learn the lessons of history and leave a world for our children a better place than we found it.”

We are on the cusp of a new era and have learned some things and do have enough people on the earth with enough light to make a difference. If good men do nothing but wait for doom, we are indeed doomed; but if good people follow the highest they know and seek guidance of the Holy Spirit, then salvation will be ours and this salvation is what I teach without apology.

“Security is an illusion. Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing at all.” Helen Keller

The Masters and the Reappearance

The Masters and the Reappearance

A reader comments on the statement by DK that two fifths of the planet’s population will be taken off the planet, and assumes that these souls will be going to another Earth-like planet to bring about their growth, because they are too stuck in the Piscean Age thoughtforms and materialism etc.

JJ: This event has little to do with the current Aquarian or passing Piscean age, but will happen far in the future. Mankind has to evolve through seven races all together and we are polarized now in the fifth. We still have the sixth and seventh to go which may take millions of years to complete. When our evolution is complete in this far future then 60% of humanity will “graduate” to higher spheres. The 40% will have to await the creation of another earth-like planet to complete their lessons.

They will be smarter and more seasoned than the younger souls there, yet certain resistances must be worn down or the younger ones will pass them up.

Another reader asks if this isn’t the same thing as “rapture” referred to in the book of Revelation is it?

One way to interpret the rapture would be to apply it to the 60% who will go to higher spheres at the true end of this world, ages hence. There is no literal rapture planned for the present coming of Christ. The only way something even close to it would take place is if the Plan of Christ is frustrated by the Dark Brothers and it looked like all life on earth may be destroyed.

This is not expected to happen and will not happen if disciples do their jobs. Even so, humanity has its free will and can always choose the destructive path. The future is not set in stone, but the strong probability is that we will face numerous points of crisis, but survive and rise above them with the human race intact.

Question: Is Saint Germain a Master of the Seventh Ray or is a Chohan a Lord?

The master of the seventh Ray was the Master Rakoczi. But in the 1940’s he was moved to preside over the third Ray as Master of Civilization. Of him DK writes:

“He is a Hungarian, and has a home in the Carpathian Mountains, and was at one time a well-known figure at the Hungarian Court. Reference to Him can be found in old historical books, and He was particularly before the public eye when he was the Comte de St. Germain, and earlier still when he was both Roger Bacon and later, Francis Bacon. It is interesting to note that as the Master R. takes hold, on the inner planes, of affairs in Europe, His name as Francis Bacon is coming before the public eye in the Bacon-Shakespeare controversy. He is rather a small, spare man, with pointed black beard, and smooth black hair, and does not take as many pupils as do the Masters previously mentioned.” Initiation, Human and Solar, Page 59

The name of the Master who currently heads the Seventh Ray is not given as far as I know.

Question: Are there 49 Masters of the Seven subrays? Or only seven Lords of the rays?

JJ: DK also gives some information on this:

“The Hierarchy works also through the seven major Ashrams and their affiliated Ashrams, and these “seven which are the forty-nine” represent in their totality the seven rays with their subrays, and are the custodians, transmitters and distributors of the seven ray energies to the seven planetary centres and-via these seven centres-to those in the fourth kingdom in nature (as they gradually unfold over the aeons) and then, via these, to the seven centres in individual man. Such is the synthesis.

“The seven major centres or Ashrams within the Hierarchy are each presided over by Masters of Chohan rank; the seven subsidiary centres or Ashrams are presided over by Masters and Adepts (of the fifth and fourth initiations), aided by initiates of the third degree and certain picked and senior disciples. Several of the seven affiliated Ashrams are, as yet, incomplete as regards personnel, but vacancies are rapidly being filled as the spiritual effects of the world war (1914-1945) make themselves felt. These effects are very real and have been a source of great encouragement to hierarchical workers.” Externalization of the Hierarchy, Page 527

The seven lords who preside over the seven rays for the solar system are the planetary Logi over the seven sacred planets. These are Vulcan (a hidden planet) Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus. Saturn is most closely linked to the earth since both Earth and Saturn are on Ray three. Jehovah who appeared to Moses represented the Logos of Saturn and was on this ray himself.

Christ is the Master of the Second Ray of Love-Wisdom.

Question: I have heard you quote DK as saying that Jesus was incarnated in Syria, but I didn’t know, according to your writings, that the Christ was here as well. If they are both here in physical bodies, etc. Then what are we waiting for? What second coming?

JJ: This is why DK calls the Second Coming the “Reappearance.” He quotes the scripture where he promises “I will be with you always even until the end of the age.” Then he tells us that the Christ has never left, that he currently lives in a physical body not far from DK on the borders of Tibet. This does not mean that he is limited to a physical body as I am sure he can transcend it at any time and work out of the body.

A Master as advanced as the Christ has power to unfold his physical body and be born again as a babe if the need arises, or he can travel in his spiritual body to overshadow a disciple if the need arises. He can also through meditation commune with numerous disciples and give them inspiration which is not as direct a contact as overshadowing.

Here is a quote from DK citing the various alternatives and problems faced by the masters in their appearance:

“How will these Members of the Hierarchy in Their various grades appear on earth? Will They come through the methods of ordinary birth, of childhood and maturity? Some initiates may follow this ordinary pattern, some are already passing through it today and are in the stages of infancy and adolescence; to them will be given a large share of the preparatory work. Some will not pass through these relatively limiting phases, but will pass back and forth between the outer world and the world of hierarchical endeavor; they will be sometimes present in physical bodies and sometimes not. This method of activity will not be possible as long as the present rules of national and civilian identification, of passports and of drastic airport and seaport inspection are required by the authorities; such people as these “transitting initiates” would not be able to identify themselves. This form of appearance is therefore postponed for some time. Some of the Masters will create what is called in the language of the East the “mayavirupa” – a vehicle of expression which is built of atomic physical and astral substance and of concrete mental substance. This They can create at will, use at will and cause to vanish at will; Their problem is not, therefore, so acute in the matter of appearing and of reappearing as is that of the initiate who cannot thus create to suit his purpose and his service.

“Will all the Members of the Hierarchy make Their appearance at the same time? Certainly not. The appearing of these initiates and Masters will begin with isolated members appearing and living among men, coming forth one by one, doing the required work, returning through the portals of apparent death to the inner subjective Ashram, and then again appearing by one or other of the methods mentioned above. This process has been going on for some time and began around the year 1860.” The Externalization of the Hierarchy – Section IV – Stages in the Externalization

Question: If this is not the second coming, what will the difference be?  If the Christ can incarnate now in his own body, why couldn’t he do the same 2000 years ago?

JJ: Two reasons:

[1] Jesus saved him 30 years of wasted time in preparing a vehicle for him. This allowed him to be able to attend to his various duties during this time.

[2] The karma of the planet dictates how close a high entity like this can approach us. For instance, our Karma and vibration of humanity does not allow the Ancient of Days to directly incarnate at this time. He will come though during the Seventh root race.

Question: Where is the Christ, and what’s he doing? What’s his chosen line of work?

JJ: DK tells us that the Christ is presently in a physical body. Currently he is the leader of the Hierarchy and guides and teaches them as well as works in the Spirit with numerous incarnated disciples.

Question: If Jesus and/or the Christ are in physical bodies on the earth, are they conscious of who they are/were? Do they have to pass through the same initiations as before?

JJ: Unless one of them is born as a baby they will be aware of who they are. If they incarnate they will have to reach maturity first.

If the Christ has incarnated or will soon, this information will not be given to the public as many would-be disciples full of glamour would claim to be him or be having him as a baby. If he does incarnate he will not reveal who he is for some time except through his works

Invoking Return

Invoking Return

We mentioned last time that each stanza of the Great Invocation has invocative energy pertinent to the return of the Christ. The question is how each stanza applies to his return.

Just as all inspired words have multiple interpretations (or multidimensional interpretations) even so it is true with the Great Invocation. A large part of the reason it was given out was to prepare for the return of Christ, but it does have other applications. Even so, let us concentrate on how it applies to the return.

Stanza One

From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let light stream forth into the minds of men. Let Light descend on Earth.

We often only think of love in relation to Christ forgetting that he proclaimed the words: “I am the light of the world.”

Light precedes love. Light and love are interdependent. If we are to prepare our hearts to receive the love of Christ we must first increase the light of Christ so the love can be recognized, received and embraced.

Stanza Two

From the point of Love within the Heart of God Let love stream forth into the hearts of men. May Christ return to Earth.

Notice that the return is invoked in this stanza. This is because Christ represents the second ray of Love Wisdom and this is the quintessential energy that he will wield.

Stanza Three

From the centre where the Will of God is known Let purpose guide the little wills of men – The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

What is that will? Part of that will is that Christ return to minister to humanity here on earth. Seeing the return as part of the will of God as saying the invocation will increase its power.

Not only is Christ the Light of the world and represents the love of God, but he has much to do with manifesting the will of God. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Garden of Gethsemane where he yielded to the Will of God by saying, “not my will but thine be done.”

Stanza Four

From the centre which we call the race of men Let the Plan of Love and Light work out. And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

The race of men (you and I) must work out certain problems and do our part in preparing the way for his coming. Part of this working out is the sealing of the door of evil. This evil is not evil as defined by most people. Instead, DK equates it with a door that can open an opportunity for evil which can take away free will as represented by Nazism. This is the evil that can take away the freedoms of the world and undo the progress we have made. Many minimize the real threats and look for evil where little exists. We must find threats to freedom where they truly exist and shut the door on them so they have no power.

Last Line:

“Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth”

Is part of the mission of Christ to restore the Plan, or at least part of it? Yes, but this cannot happen unless we have a free flow of light and love and power.

Power not only includes the spiritual, but a free flow of new sources of power for transportation, manufacturing etc.

Question:  The verse from the Gita that we quoted said: “Whenever there is a withering of the law and an uprising of lawlessness on all sides, then I manifest Myself.

For the salvation of the righteous and the destruction of such as do evil, for the firm establishing of the Law, I come to birth age after age.”

Here we are told that one of the reasons a periodic Messiah is needed is “a withering of the law and an uprising of lawlessness.” Then we are told he will come “for the firm establishing of the Law.”

What kind of Law will Christ establish? Ten Commandments, Law of Moses, Law of Love, civil law or what?

What does law have to do with the Seventh Ray and the Age of Aquarius?

I think most disciples realize that the mission of Christ will not be to reinstitute some strict Law-of-Moses type code. But neither will he promote a flower-child type situation where anything goes. In fact, it is unlikely that he will have any civil authority over the nations at all. If he has no civil authority then how can he institute any laws?

Even though his plans are not given out, we can assume it is highly likely that he will come as a teacher and concentrate on those items of which the world is in the greatest need. As world leaders begin to take notice of him he will obtain power to counsel them and influence the direction of their governments and legislation.

In addition to this he will gather around him trusted disciples who have earned authority and a direct influence. Concerning these DK says:

“Today the Christ is carrying forward the same great task and in the spiritual significance of His imminent Coming (and in the language of symbolism) He and His nine thousand arhats will strike a second blow at the world glamour. It is for this that we prepare. Only the intuition can dispel illusion and hence the need of training intuitives. Hence the service you can render to this general cause by offering yourselves for this training. If you can overcome glamour in your own lives and if you can, therefore, comprehend the nature of illusion you will help in

  1. The destruction of the dweller on the threshold
  2. The devitalizing of the general maya
  3. The dissipation of glamour
  4. The dispelling of illusion

Glamour: A World Problem, Page 24

Christ therefore will have thousands of disciples to assist him in teaching, influencing the powers-that-be and establishing new orders.

While it is true the law of Christ is governed by the law of love which is written within our hearts, it is also true that there are only a small percentage of humanity who sense this law accurately and are able to abide by it.

A reader mentioned that we will only have the laws of Christ when he comes, but this refers to those who will gather around the Christ and will have a degree of soul contact. What about the great unwashed out there? We must realize that the new age will bring progress for humanity, but the average person will not be a lot different than he is today. He will still rather drink beer and watch football in his spare time than to learn from the feet of the master.

Therefore, for the civilizations of the earth as a whole, standard civil law as we understand it today will still be necessary. We will need laws to protect us from murder, theft, rape etc. Even so, there will be some major revisions.

There are several problems with civil law today.

  1. There are way too many laws. The world would be a lot better off with an 80-90% reduction in them.
  2. There are too many bad laws. Once a bad law gets in the system it never seems to go away. A process needs to be developed so harmful laws are rapidly culled out of the system.
  3. There are too many lawsuits, not only frivolous ones, but lawsuits as a whole. Many lawsuits could be avoided through the use of mediators and spiritual councilors as well as reform of laws governing litigation.
  4. Activist judges. Instead of interpreting the law many judges are creating law. This does not represent the will of the people and must stop. Elected representatives need to have power to negate (when necessary) law created by judges.
  5. There is lack of uniform punishment for crime. Sometimes when two people commit the same crime one will serve three times as long as the other. “Justice” is a word used in reference to the Christ:

“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.” Isa 9:7

Greater justice, or more appropriate punishment to fit the crime will be sought.

  1. The prison system used to punish offenders needs reform. For one thing, both the prisoner and the person harmed in the crime would be better off if the prisoner were given a chance to work on the outside and pay the victim restitution. Today the victim of financial loss often gets nothing. Usually, the only entity that benefits financially is the government through the imposition of fines.

The only ones who should be sent to prison are those who commit violent crime or refuse to make restitution to the victim.

The prison system is often called a “correctional” program, but few do anything to assist the prisoner in the direction of correction. Instead of making punishment the top priority, correction and education needs this status. This is too vast of a subject to cover here, but it does need the attention of society.

We could add to this list, but this suffices to give the needed idea.

The Seventh Ray, which is growing in strength, governs law, ceremony and business. The coming of Christ and the Masters with him will infuse all three of these categories with new life and justice.

One prime point of attention will be the teaching of ceremonial magic on a somewhat scientific basis. In other words, certain types of symbolic gestures, accompanied by thought, will produce certain results that can be duplicated at will.

This will be discussed in greater length later on.

DK writes: “The reason He has not come again is that the needed work has not been done by his followers in all countries.” The Reappearance Of The Christ, Page 12

It’s been many years since he wrote this. Has much preparation been done in this time? What else needs done to prepare for the coming of the Lord?

I’d rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.  Billy Joel (1949 – ), Song “Only the Good Die Young”

ACIM Conversations, Part 11

ACIM Conversations, Part 11
The Four Groups of Sons

Student: We have dispelled the idea that we are just watching a rerun of our lives (See Part 9) and discussed the Course’s meaning when it refers to the one Son or Sonship. But in connection with this many believe that the Course teaches that every move we make is predestined like every frame in a movie projector is already filmed and nothing can change the next scene to be projected.

Teacher: What do you think of that idea?

Student: It just doesn’t sound right to me, especially considering that the Course teaches we will not have memories of this illusion when we return, and it will be to us as if this dream never happened just like our dreams at night. Why would we recall to memory that which is no longer remembered?

Teacher: Good question. Why do you suppose that many think we are reliving memories when we are told we will have no memories?

Student: From my studies the Course appears to teach it both ways. It says we will have no memories yet it also says we are here reliving memories.

Teacher: Let us take a look at a passage that talks about reliving the past. Here is one:

“Time really, then, goes backward to an instant so ancient that it is beyond all memory, and past even the possibility of remembering. Yet because it is an instant that is relived again and again and still again, it seems to be now… The world of time is the world of illusion. What happened long ago seems to be happening now. Choices made long since appear to be open; yet to be made. What has been learned and understood and long ago passed by is looked upon as a new thought, a fresh idea, a different approach.” M-2.3 & 4

This does sound like we are reliving a very ancient instant “again and again and still again.”

Student: Yeah, it makes it sound like we are in the movie Groundhog Day. In our past discussion we talked about how illogical it would be to relieve a nightmare once, but here it makes it sound like we are reliving the same one, not once but many times. As for me I want to move on from my painful past experiences, not relive them endlessly.

Teacher: Can you conceive of how this quote we gave about reliving the past could be in harmony with your instinct about not choosing to relive a painful past?

Student: Sorry. I can’t. It sounds insane that any Son would voluntarily choose to relive a nightmare “again and again and still again.”

Teacher: Yes, it would be insane. Who wants to relieve even a good day over and over?

Student: Good point. I’m all ears regarding your explanation.

Teacher: To understand this conundrum we have to recall the meaning of the Son or Sonship that we discussed earlier. You will recall that we agreed that the Son represents one great life, but with many parts called the “Sons of God.”

Student: Yes

Teacher: And did all the Sons enter the illusion?

Student: No. Part stayed in heaven.

Teacher: Have you noticed that when the Course talks about something that part of the Sonship does it speaks as if the whole Sonship is doing it?

Student: Yes. Sometimes it seems to be speaking to just me, or maybe to Helen, but I could see that it applied to the whole Sonship.

Teacher: Would you say that it makes sense that the action or thought of the part affects the whole?

Student: Seems to. After all, the Course tells us that the separation “shattered heaven.”

Teacher: Did you realize that there are four groups of Sons within the Sonship? We previously discussed two which were the Sons who never left heaven and the Sons who separated. Do you remember a third?

Student: Apparently there are some who separated and then awakened and are fully in heaven. You say there is a fourth group? Who would that be?

Teacher: New Sons, or Sons created after the initial separation.

Student: Wow! That is an interesting statement but I do not recall reading about new Sons.

Teacher: You have to take what the Course says and add 2+2 to equal 4. Tell me what does the Course say the purpose of the Sonship is?

Student: I guess to be one and live in joy and peace.

Teacher: It’s more than that. Here read these two quotes:

Student: “You were created only to create” T-14.I.4 “His joy lay in creating you, and He extends His Fatherhood to you so that you can extend yourself AS HE DID. You do not understand this because you do not understand Him.” T-8.VI.6

Teacher: So, what is the purpose of the Sonship?

Student: To create like the Father.

Teacher: Yes and even the Bible in John, chapter one, we are told that Christ, another name for the Sonship, created all things. Now tell me this. What is it that the Son creates as the Father did?

Student: The Universe

Teacher: Now read this:

Student: “There is no end to God and His Son, for we are the universe… See His creations as His Son” T-11.I.5

Teacher: Here we see that the Son is synonymous with the universe itself. It says, “The universe consists of nothing but the Son of God, who calls upon his Father.” W-pI.183.10 Again I ask what is it that the Son creates as the Father did?

Student: More Sons.

Teacher: Exactly. Now read this:

Student: “A co-creator with the Father must have a Son. Yet must this Son have been created like Himself.” T-24.III.6 “You are part of God, as your sons are part of His Sons.” T-7.I.3

Teacher: So when the Son creates what does he produce?

Student: More Sons just like the Father.

Teacher: In fact, the Course tells us that we will attain to the position of fatherhood. read this:

Student: “Without your Father you will not know your fatherhood. The Kingdom of God includes all His Sons AND THEIR CHILDREN, who are as like the Sons as they are like the Father.” T-7.XI.7

Wow. This is quite a teaching. How did I miss this?

Teacher: We tend to remember what fits in with our current belief system. Now is the time to add 2+2 and see what we come up with. We are told that the initial separation occurred in a past so ancient that it is beyond memory but Sons still want to access this dreamworld and relive it. We concluded that Sons who have awakened would have no desire to do this since they view it as a nightmare compared to heaven. But there is a fourth group of Sons in heaven who may be curious as to what it would be like to enter the dream. And who might they be?

Student: The Sons who were created after the initial separation. This is fascinating. I think I see where you are going.

Teacher: And kids are always curious aren’t they? Since all things are accessible to all Sons the newly created sons would become aware of the separation that the parents experienced. Even if the parents told them that it was a nightmare their curiosity would still remain. What do you think? Does adding 2+2 tell you that some of them decided to relive the dream, but on their own terms?

Student: That does make a lot of sense when you think about it.

Teacher: Since creation is eternal then the new Sons would have additional Sons and they also would be curious and some of these would want to experience the dream

Student: A light just went off in my head! I can see what the passage means that says the Sonship is reliving the separation “again and again and still again.” It is not individual Sons who have awakened who are doing this, but newly created Sons and later their Sons and then their Sons and so on.

Teacher: So on for how long?

Student: Who knows? Maybe eternity.

Teacher: After all, it is written that “What God and His Sons create is eternal” T-8.VI.3 and “The circle of creation has no end.” T-28.II.1

Student: I’ll tell you this. You have certainly gave me a lot to think about today

Teacher: There more to come. Prepare yourself.

The Reappearance of the Christ

The Reappearance of the Christ

We will now do something we have not done before and that is to go through one of the Alice A. Bailey books which were dictated by Djwhal Khul, the Tibetan Master. The book we will study is called “The Reappearance of the Christ.”

Assignment:

Read the first chapter which starts at: LINK

When you finish with this click “Next Section” until you get to chapter Two.

As you read and find something of interest please post your thoughts on it. If a question arises in your mind go ahead and post it.

The book begins with this quote:

Whenever there is a withering of the law and an uprising of lawlessness on all sides, then I manifest Myself.

For the salvation of the righteous and the destruction of such as do evil, for the firm establishing of the Law, I come to birth age after age. – Bhagavad Gita, Book IV, Sutra 7, 8. [5]

What are the reasons a Messiah will come and how do you expect this to play out in this age?

***

Thanks for your postings on Chapter One of The Reappearance of the Christ.

It is interesting that many people think that The Reappearance of the Christ is anything other than the appearance of the actual entity who was the Christ 2000 years ago.

While it is true that the head of the Hierarchy can work through groups as well as individuals it is also true that this individual promised the world that he, as an entity, would come again. This means that the second coming of Christ will be more than merely the Christ principle working through various individuals or groups.

For one thing the individual entity who is Christ merely began his seventh initiation in his first coming and has to complete it in his second coming. This will involve a great individual work on his part.

Exactly how he will come is not given. Last time he came by overshadowing the disciple Jesus. He could do the same thing with another disciple this time or he could come in a body of his own. He could be born as a babe or manifest as an adult. He could come as a man or woman or manifest from any race or country.

There is only one thing disciples know within their hearts. That is, when he does manifest the true worker of love and light will recognize his vibration and his words. His teachings will bring forth a flashing forth of the intuition and seem familiar.

On the other hand, those with resistance to light and love will fear and hate him and his work just like they did last time.

Notice that there are two strong forces that will draw him. The first is the will of God as the Logos picks it up. The second will be the power of invocation from humanity itself.

This power of invocation is a mystery that has seldom been fully understood by disciples. We tend to think that when the time is right the Master will just appear not considering that we have anything to do with it. But we do have something to do with it. Our part in the plan involves using the power of invocation.

How is this done?

We blend our energies manifesting this pull on the Divine every time:

  • A person says a prayer hoping for a better world
  • He meditates on the presence of the Master
  • He seeks for greater knowledge
  • He seeks for peace and justice on the earth
  • He seeks right human relations
  • He seeks and petitions to God for the alleviation of human suffering
  • He sees the roadblocks blocking the way of freedom and desires that these blocks be removed
  • He senses that it is the will of God that the Christ will manifest

Finally, when the combined energies of invocation accumulate over a period of time a point of tension is reached. This point of tension creates a window of opportunity. A great point of tension was reached during World War II. This caused the Christ to prepare for manifestation. A second point of tension is approaching as tension increases among the nations today.

This power of invocation is hinted at in the Book of Revelations:

“And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.” Rev 8:3-4

Thus does the power of invocation send a pull that reaches up to the throne of God attracting his attention to the need of the time.

Note that the most famous prayer given by DK is an invocation, in fact it is called “The Great Invocation.”

Assignment:

Realize that each stanza has invocative energy pertinent to the return of the Christ. Tell us how each stanza applies to his return.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let light stream forth into the minds of men. Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God Let love stream forth into the hearts of men. May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known Let purpose guide the little wills of men – The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men Let the Plan of Love and Light work out. And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Ticket to Ride

Ticket to Ride

Our latest friend who is into the nothingness philosophy is still trying to convert us. He says:

But what if a saint boarded your bus and was offering out tickets to a different heavenly chariot-ride?

JJ: Then he’s not a saint but a man with a screw loose. We do not offer heavenly chariot rides here. If someone like yourself comes offering a different view all are free to follow.

Reader: What if the Christ boarded the bus and indicated the correct train station where the express train leaving for a one-way trip to paradise was about to disembark?

JJ: Then he is barging in on other peoples’ space and should be thrown off.

Christ said “behold, I stand at the door and knock.” He didn’t say he was going to burst through the door and force his views on us.

Reader: Would you judge him also in favour of your idea of sovereignty?

JJ: Yes. To go by any outward authority over the spirit within is to receive the mark of the beast.

Reader: Would you discard all man made rules and regulations for a higher cause, or would you cleave to them because they were familiar and safe and even effective in the past in riding the bus from A to B and back again?

JJ: Of course, I would stay with man made rules while riding a bus. Do you think God is going to come create them for us? There is nothing wrong with man made rules as long as they are fair.

You point out the main problem we have with the Nothingness People. They feel that their one-way trip to paradise message is so much more important than the mental drivel we have here that it justifies infringing on free will, rules and majority will.

Next our friend responded in a poem and I then responded back with more poetry as follows:

Reader – beginning of poem: God has no gifts to send for my play.

He will not ever show me the way.

JJ: But I have entered the Lord’s playground;

I look and hear and feel the Sound.

Reader: God will not bless me since He cannot see me.

For there’s nobody here to see.

JJ: That nobody cries for help, not seen by the blind

But is helped by Love so real, so kind.

Reader: God sees only what’s Real and True.

He helps only the divine Self in you.

JJ: God reaches forth through the divine

To touch all souls with many signs.

Reader: Do not expect the other self to be freed,

For there’s nobody here to see.

JJ: Do not be afraid, it is I, grab my hand

The nobody responds, Love takes a stand.

Reader: This ego, the self, is a fiction abused.

A chimera born of a mind that’s confused.

JJ: I see no beast, but the divine in the light

And call it forth seen clearly, burning bright.

Reader: God cannot bless what does not exist.

For there’s nobody here to see.

JJ: “I am here, please see, please help!”

A Son of God hears and shares of self.

Reader: To pray to our God for blessings and health,

Is to request chains of bondage for self.

JJ: I neither request nor receive bondage of self

But God sends me blessings of joy and health.

Reader: Which tie us fast from all that is True.

For there’s nobody here to see.

JJ: The souls divine, not seen by the blind

Are found by love, leaving no one behind.

Reader: Success and happiness is the worldly lot;

To escape from this dream, we want them not,

JJ: All blessings are pure to the pure of heart

And are willing to share in whole or in part.

Reader:  And seek only Truth and God’s divine Will.

For there’s nobody here to see.

JJ: The Will of God extends forever

And reaches to all and never says never.

Reader: The inner heart-Spark is our Truth and our Might.

Sacrifice the self and the Spark flames alight.

JJ: In true sacrifice of self, below or above,

Other selves are served, loved, and feel love.

Reader: Let the dream die and we find eternal Life.

For there was never a self to be.

JJ: That which we are will always be;

God and I are One; this I see.

Reader: God will not give His gifts to me.

Won’t e’en acknowledge my self-fantasy.

JJ: God’s gifts are always here for me

He knows, I know, and I see.

Reader: God will not bless me, help or guide.

For there’s nobody here, you see.

JJ: I am here, hand extended, but cannot help when you cry.

You cannot see my hand, my heart, or means to reply.
