Predicting the Future

Predicting the Future

Some are still insisting the future is exactly set. One reader tells us that predictive astrology proves this.

I have studied astrology and even did it professionally for a while. You can only predict cycles and influences, but rarely the details. And when using predictive astrology, it only works consistently with average people. As DK says, it does not work well with soul infused people because they have a more advanced power of decision and are not so predictable as to how they will respond to influences.

Then the reader mentioned the prediction by Jesus of the betrayal of Peter denying him and says “If one thing can be predicted with certainty. All things can be.”

Not so. I can and have predicted the decisions of many people including some of yours (privately to myself). You can predict some of mine, such as whether I will respond to a post, but you cannot predict them all because many are not decided yet. The future is the future and only generalities are available to us in the present.

A Master can make some amazing predictions, but still cannot see all things.

The apostle Paul thought the end of the world was coming in his age and he was a high initiate.

If one knew all the forces at play in the sea, earth, moon, sun, planets, ethers and air one could watch the seashore and predict with a massive computer many of the effects that would transpire.

Imagine such a one spending a lifetime programming data into his computer and then watching with some smugness some of his predictions of effects coming true.

He is proud of himself until a child comes along and DECIDES to build a sandcastle. The computer prophet panics. First there was no data in his computer that could predict the time of the child’s arrival. Secondly, he is frustrated about the type of castle the child will decide to build.

As the child starts to build the man attempts to predict exactly what the structure will look like. As he is in the middle of doing this the child gets up with his pail and walks a few feet to an area where there is white instead of brown sand. He fills his pail with this and begins to enhance the beauty of his castle with a different colored sand.

The man is beside himself. “What could I have ever put in the computer that would have told me that the kid would get up, move to another spot and select a different type of sand to decorate his castle?

If a great computer programmer and mathematician cannot predict subtle decisions of a child, then how much more impossible would be the predicting of the decisions of a disciple or a master?

Reality does not support the predestination view. If it did then at least one person out of the billions of people on the planet could read tomorrows newspaper today. They could even read a paper from a billion years into the future.

Whycling to a belief that cannot be demonstrated or have any effect outside of being a distraction from the reality in which we find ourselves?

We might take note that big supporters of this belief  are astral channelers. The Masters of Wisdom have never said anything that I recall that supports it but have always placed great emphasis on free will and becoming masters of our destinies.

Here is an interesting quote from Madame Blavatsky:

“Only, the closer the union between the mortal reflection MAN and his celestial PROTOTYPE, the less dangerous the external conditions and subsequent reincarnations — which neither Buddhas nor Christs can escape. This is not superstition, least of all is it Fatalism. The latter implies a blind course of some still blinder power, and man is a free agent during his stay on earth. He cannot escape his ruling Destiny, but he has the choice of two paths that lead him in that direction, and he can reach the goal of misery — if such is decreed to him, either in the snowy white robes of the Martyr, or in the soiled garments of a volunteer in the iniquitous course; for, there are external and internal conditions which affect the determination of our will upon our actions, and it is in our power to follow either of the two. Those who believe in Karma have to believe in destiny, which, from birth to death, every man is weaving thread by thread around himself, as a spider does its cobweb; and this destiny is guided either by the heavenly voice of the invisible prototype outside of us, or by our more intimate astral, or inner man, who is but too often the evil genius of the embodied entity called man. Both these lead on the outward man, but one of them must prevail; and from the very beginning of the invisible affray the stern and implacable law of compensation steps in and takes its course, faithfully following the fluctuations. When the last strand is woven, and man is seemingly enwrapped in the net-work of his own doing, then he finds himself completely under the empire of this self-made destiny. It then either fixes him like the inert shell against the immovable rock, or carries him away like a feather in a whirlwind raised by his own actions, and this is — KARMA.” Secret Doctrine, Vol. 1, Page 639

Then a reader quotes this as proof of predestination:

“Everything that happens in this world, happens at the time god chooses. He sets the time for birth, and the time for death. Time for planting, and time for pulling out, the time for killing and the time for healing, the time for tearing down, and the time for building.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-3

The first problem here is he have used a quite distorted translation. I don’t know what version he is using, but it is obviously made to be easy reading and not for accuracy. The King James, which has its faults, is much more accurate.

It says: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

There are two words here that help us understand what Solomon is saying which are “season” and “time.”

Season comes from the Hebrew ZeMAN

Time comes from: ETH

ZeMAN is usually translated as “season” implying a cyclic occurrence and ETH is almost always translated as “time” implying an event within time but not necessarily within a cycle, as with a season.

“To every purpose” comes from, CHEPHETS and has little to do with purpose. It implies a pleasurable desire or activity–or that which is important to us. The verse is basically saying that there are cycles and times within which all that we consider important occurs.

Then he goes on to tell us that there is a right time and a place for everything of importance in the lives of men to occur.

I’ve quoted this scripture many times, as it supports my teachings that there is an exception to every rule and a time to act contrary to the norm.

The odd translation quoted adds in words that are not in the Hebrew such as “happens at the time god chooses,” “he sets,” and “he has set…” Obviously the translator believed in predestination, and this caused his biased translating.

This is evident in this verse quoted:

“He has set the time right for everything. He has given us a desire to know the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what he does.”

Let us go through this and come as close as we can to the true meaning.

”He has set the time right for everything.”

This is way off. The old King James is much closer, “He hath made everything beautiful in his time.”

Reader’s translation: “He has given us a desire to know the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what he does.”

The King James version reads: “he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

Neither one of these is that accurate as a key word is mistranslated in both of them. The Hebrew OWLAM is translated “future” in the quote and “world” in the King James. It is most often rendered as “everlasting” and implies, not so much eternity, as a long period of time or perpetual.

So what is this verse really saying? Here is how I would translate it:

“He has given man a sense of his immortality in his heart, but even so he cannot discover the beginning or end of God’s works.”

Finally, this scriptures is stressed as proof of predestination:

“Whatever happens or can happen has already happened before. God makes the same thing happen again and again.” Verse 15

This scripture merely elucidates the general principle of cycles as used in the modern truism, “history repeats itself.”

I’m surprised you did not quote this one:

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9

Each scripture must be examined in its context as well as in relation to other scriptures and, most of all, with the spirit within through the soul for no written word is infallible.

For instance, other scriptures talk of new things under the sun:

* And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. Revelation 21:5

* Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

* For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Isaiah 65:17

* “…and I will write upon him my new name.” Revelation 13:12

* And they sung a new song. Revelation 5:9

Indeed there are cycles where history repeats itself and then there are “new” things which are not an exact repeat.

Perhaps another earned authority will help here, our old friend DK:

“It is wise for human beings to realise that mankind is free. Even the Hierarchy Itself does not know which forces-those of good or those of evil-will ultimately prevail because even if the forces of good triumph where the war is concerned, will they triumph where the peace is concerned? Good must ultimately triumph but the Hierarchy does not know what the immediate future holds for humanity because men determine their own destiny.” Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 1, page 74

Then we have this: “I have now definitely decided to disband the New Seed Group. My experiment in reorganising the earlier groups into one large group has not succeeded. I have told you frequently that the Hierarchy itself does not know what decisions humanity will make in world affairs, or if mankind will profit from proffered opportunity. Equally so, the Master of an Ashram does not know what “disciples on the periphery” of an Ashram will do, because their training and testing is only in process.”

Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, page 74

While it is true that there are complexities to time and space (of which I have written much) we must not ignore the reality which is right in front of us.

As DK says: “It is wise for human beings to realise that mankind is free… The Hierarchy does not know what the immediate future holds for humanity because men determine their own destiny.” Discipleship in the New Age: Vol I, Page 74

It pays to be obvious, especially if you have a reputation for subtlety. Isaac Asimov (1920 – 1992)

Principles of Discovery, Part 4

Principles of Discovery, Part 4

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” John 7:16-17

What principle was the Master teaching here and how can we use it in the discovery or confirmation or truth?

Perhaps some additional questions will get us going here.

Where do we look to find the will of God?

How is following our perception of the will of God a test that proves the perception true or false?

We are also told that “By their fruits you shall know them.” What does this mean and how is it a guide to the discovery of truth? What are the different fruits?

A student writes: “I love this concept of discovering truth without the aid of soul contact. Now, I know for a fact that I do not possess soul contact. I am extremely envious of everybody in this group who is in possession of this rare pearl of wisdom.”

Don’t write yourself off so easily. Soul contact reaches down through several reflections. Most of us have received some type of impression either directly from the soul or reflected through our mental or astral (emotional) bodies. Have you ever had a gut feeling to do or not to do a thing? Have you ever had an idea flash into your mind that just seemed right to you? Paying attention to these subtle impressions are guides that leads you to the still small voice, so still and so small (a zero point) that you will wonder if it is your imagination working overtime.

But then if you have faith in this voice and follow it, eventually the voice will seem as strong as a rushing of mighty waters and you will come into the oneness principle and know that you are never alone for you always have before you an association with others of higher consciousness who are one with the Voice.

Question: How about using soul contact to figure out whether the “Shroud of Turin” is the genuine article or not?

Actually, the soul speaks in the language of principles and not data. Remember the principle of principles.

“A principle can reveal thousands of facts, but it takes thousands of facts to understand one principle.” Unless a person is an adept at reading the Akashic records correctly (many read them incorrectly) even one with soul contact must use the same process of discovering the truth about the shroud as the average guy. Even if one has contact with the Brotherhood, he will not have the information handed over to him unless he first does all he can on his own to discover the truth, and even then, the revelation must fulfill some purpose, not just idol curiosity.

A lot of research has been done on the shroud and various conclusions have been reached. If one with strong soul contact were to study all the data it is possible that he could follow some guiding principles until he receives an inner confirmation of the truth.

To be honest, I have not investigated it in depth for it is not a high priority on my list at present.

A reader wants to know what the principles of discovery could reveal about the star system of Sirius which is the center of much speculation lately because of its alignment with the pyramids.

Let us take the information we have from science and see what we can discern about Sirius through the application of the Principle of the Law of Correspondences.

Sirius is about 8.7 light years away and is a double star, or possible triple star. The main star (Sirius A) has twice the mass of our sun but is 30 times as bright. A planet there with physical life like us would have to be about as far away from Sirius as Jupiter is from our Sun or they would be scorched to death.

The double star (Sirius B) is a dying Sun (white dwarf) of about average mass that has 10,000 times less light than the main Sun.

The two suns circle around each other over a 50 year period.

From the writings of the Brotherhood, we know that they have a strong presence on this system; therefore, we can assume that there would be planets there. We are also told that the life there has evolved much differently than here and the kingdoms as we know them (vegetable, animal, human) do not exist there but life exists in some other form, according to DK. Not much more is given.

Now let us take what we have learned from what is readily available and see how far we can go. The two suns are quite a distance from each other, further away than Uranus is from earth. Sirius B is a little smaller than earth, but gives off its own light, but much less than a regular sun. If one were to dwell on a planet situated between the two suns the main star would be about as bright as our sun, but the second star would just be a very bright point of light, bright enough to give a dim light to the planet at night. Very little heat would reach it.

If we were to use the model of our solar system, we may guess that the large mass of these two suns would suggest 24 or more planetary bodies. But something overlooked by many new agers is that Sirius is a young system compared to ours. Sirius is estimated to be 230 million years old, born in the days of our dinosaurs; whereas our sun is 4.6 billion years of age or a whopping 20 times the age of Sirius. The total lifespan of Sirius is projected to be about a billion years; therefore, it is not likely to have the time to evolve earthlike planets with kingdoms such as ours, though most likely some planets will be there. Most likely there may be gaseous planets like Jupiter and Saturn.

The first step in discovering truth beyond our senses is to first absorb what we currently know. If one were to take in all we know about Sirius and contemplate until a point of tension is reached one could receive more valid information through the soul. All I have provided here are seed thoughts.

This leads us to a seventh principle of discovery:

Gather all the reliable information you can about a subject of interest and try and see the principles suggested by the data. Then draw conclusions and run the conclusions by your soul and see if you receive a response.

Some things have to be believed to be seen. Ralph Hodgson, on ESPN

The Day of the Beast

The Day of the Beast

Today (written June 6, 2006) has been labeled the day of the Beast. As you probably know it is written 6/6/06, or shortened to just 666.

I’m sure terrorists have considered making an attack today. Perhaps the main thing discouraging them would be that the governments of the world are probably on high alert just in case.

A remake of the Omen is to be released today, as well as Ann Coulter’s new book, The Church of Liberalism. Some on the left see Ann as worse than the antichrist. I met her once and gave her my book. I’ve always wondered if she read it.

I also met John Stossel a while back and gave him a copy.

As most of you know I have taught a much different meaning behind the Beast than those who have preceded me.

Most see the Beast as a Hitler type of dictator or a tyrannical power of some sort. They see the mark of 666 as a literal mark. Most believers think the mark will be a computer chip that will be implanted in the forehead or the right hand.

On the other hand, this does not harmonize with the scriptures, for they tell us that the antichrist was in the world, even in the days of Jesus.

The Beast is not one man or nation and the mark is not an imprint though the power of the Beast could force a visible mark or implant.

One difficulty of a literal mark today is that the 666 is so widely known that the populace would resist any mark on their right hand. Maybe this was why Hitler put his numbers on his victims left arm rather than the right.

I have taught that the Beast represents unearned and unjust authority. There is a correct authority and that is one who has proven himself to be capable, but in our world system today, as well as in times past, many who have not proved themselves and are not elected obtain positions of power and then expect to be mindlessly obeyed. This beast-like authority then herds those who relinquish mind and believe and follow without question the directions given.

Since teaching here, I have done my best to not use any undue authority to force your minds and hearts to accept what I say. I have always said that everything I teach could be wrong. It is up to your souls to decide, but when your soul does give you confirmation you will have received from an earned authority which puts you under an obligation to accept, or that soul force could withdraw.

May we all have reasonable doubt of those outer authorities yet be sensitive enough to soul to obtain a sure witness of true principles.

A reader says he can find no Beast, other than ignorance!

Here are several ways to quickly locate the Beast.

[1] Don’t pay any taxes for a season or so.

[2] When a traffic cop stops you tell him to quit spying on you and to get a real job.

[3] Attend a cult meeting and publicly declare that the leader is about as spiritual as Elmer Fudd.

[4] Run an ad in the paper using every type of politically incorrect speech that you can think of.

[5] Hold a press conference announcing that you have discovered a form a free energy that will make utility companies obsolete.

[6] Publish a book proving anything in the DaVinci Code is true.

[7] Attend a meeting of either Democrats or Republicans and either praise a Republican president to the Democrats or a Democrat president to the Republicans.

[8] Publish an unflattering cartoon of Mohammed.

[9] Publish an article giving information that runs counter to the medical establishment

Do any of these things and you will not have to look far to find the Beast, which is unjust or unearned authority.

Ignorance, and also fear, gives power to the Beast by the unthinking masses, but those who are not ignorant and enlightened will be the ones to suffer from it. I started a list of three and wound up with nine but just thought of a tenth:

Publish a paper proving there was no Big Bang.

Scientists now accept this like a religious authoritarian principle and anything to the contrary would be attacked by most of them without considering the new ideas.

If you want to see the Beast at work in Science read the history of how Velikoski was attacked for his ideas in Worlds in Collision.

Re: Focusing on Reality

A supporting reader indicates that some may be in error thinking they have greater soul contact than myself.

We want to avoid establishing me as a person with such solid spiritual contact that I cannot be challenged.

I may be in the soul all the time or I may not.

My words may be true or they may not.

Only by encouraging seekers to think for themselves can they achieve truth growth away from the power of the Beast.

Those who challenge me may or may not be correct, but at least they are thinking and exploring. As long as they continue to do this and accept the highest they can perceive they will unfold layer after layer of truth.

Insist on yourself; never imitate… Every great man is unique. Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 – 1882)

Focusing on Reality

Focusing on Reality

In my opinion some of the arguments a few of my readers have brought up defy reason. Person One represents some of the logic I haven encountered and Person Two represents my response.

Person 1: The moon is made of green cheese.

Person 2: This seems like a silly statement. Why would you say such a thing?

Person 1: Why wouldn’t it be true?

Person 2: Well, for one thing, we have gone to the moon and there was no green cheese.

Person 1: Maybe we didn’t really go there, but just perceived that we did.

A three-hour argument then ensues as to whether we went to the moon in the real reality of false reality. Maybe we just perceived it but it didn’t really happen etc.

Person 1: And even if we did go to the moon, we only drew samples from an extremely small part of its surface. How do we know that most of the rest of the moon is not green cheese?

Person 2: Anything is possible but it goes against all logic and evidence.

Person 1: But because anything is possible it means that in some reality the moon is made of green cheese. Since everything is happening all at one time in the greater reality this means there is green cheese on the moon in the now.

Person 2: That is so far-fetched I do not even have any desire to argue against it.

Person 1: You can’t prove me wrong.

Person 2: When you go outside of this reality in making an argument no one can prove anything right or wrong. If such realities exist, they do not affect us directly and we do not understand them.

Person 1: You are evading my reason. We are only experiencing what our perception allows us to see. Beyond our perception perhaps we really landed on Mars rather than the moon and the moon is made of green cheese.

Person 2: Perhaps, but if you continue to dwell in Neverland, you will only encounter frustration in the real world. We have to deal with reality here before we can effectively know a greater one – and there is no evidence that even in the greater reality the moon is made of green cheese.

Person 1: Lack of evidence does not mean a thing is not true.

Note that we are having a similar argument with time for the argument is put forward that the future is really the present.

But the future has not happened yet and cannot be the present.

“And everything, even in this world is happening now.”

But today is happening now and I can read today’s newspaper. If tomorrow is happening now I should be able to read that also.

“But you could if you knew how to perceive it.”

And how do we do that?

“We haven’t figured it out yet.”

Maybe you haven’t figured it out because it cannot be done.

“But you can’t prove it cannot be done.”

It is proven that some future events are predictable because we can examine present causes and project into the future, but because of free will there are many things not set which are not happening now and cannot be foretold.

“That’s just your opinion. The future is set and has already happened. The New York Times of Jan 1, 2030 is already here in the present.”

And where is your evidence of this?

“Where is your proof that I am wrong?”

Well for one thing, of the six billion people on the planet not one has been able to read in exact detail tomorrow’s paper let alone one from 2030. I’d say it is much more logical to go with the evidence rather than a view from an alternate reality that you cannot even experience.

“That fact that six billion people have not done this does not mean it cannot be done.”

Sigh. Yes, but to challenge such a belief you should have some logic and reason for doing so. When Columbus thought he could sail around the world he at least had some logical basis and evidence for believing the world was not flat. There is no evidence or logic behind the idea that tomorrow’s newspaper is already here.

“When tomorrow is here then the newspaper will be here and it will be in the present.”

That’s tomorrow. Today is today and tomorrow is not here in today.

“That is only what you perceive.”

And thus we go round and round arguing about some wholeness or alternate reality which cannot be demonstrated, entered or proven by any means available.

How about the soul, says one?

Yes, the soul is a means of proof, but if two people try to reach the soul and disagree then the argument is reduced to reason, experience and logic. If two people are in the soul together they will see the principles governing reality as one and see eye to eye.

I’ve done a lot of contemplating about time and believe that the Trinity of time, past, present and future do compose a great whole, but this does not make the future the present or the past the future. The whole is like our body who has a left arm (the past) the right arm (future) and the torso (the present).

To say the right arm is the torso makes no sense but to say there is a greater whole (the body) does make sense.

In the greater formless reality there is an eternal now with no focus on a past or present, which is related to form. But in this universe of form we are subject to the laws of time and have to deal with them.

If we cannot agree in the soul we must go by the evidence, logic and reason. This will lead us to the soul and an eventual understanding of the greater whole.

A great problem occurs in seekers when they want to live or dwell in the greater reality before they have mastered this one. We are here to master where we are now, not where we are not.

If a student who has not learned addition tries to dwell on algebra, he will learn neither algebra nor addition. He must go back to his point of learning and master reality where he is. Only then can he move on.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away. Philip K. Dick (1928 – 1982)

Creation IS

Creation IS

Question: Since something cannot come from nothing. How does anything exist?

JJ: Every time I look up at the stars in the sky, I inwardly exclaim to myself that the greatest miracle of all is that anything exists.

It would be fantastic enough if there were just one rock in existence in all the universe, but to think that there are star systems and an uncountable number of galaxies as well as invisible worlds teaming with life and energy boggles the mind indeed.

Here are some basic statements.

[1] Something does exist

[2] We must ask ourselves what exists? That which is known to exist is form, time, space, energy consciousness, intelligence and life. There may, of course, be other items of existence beyond our realization.

[3] That which exists either had to come from something or nothing.

[4] Since something cannot come from nothing then all that exists came from something.

[5] Because something cannot come from nothing this means that nothing has never been and existence has always been and is eternal.

[6] That which exists changes in form, state and location but the source of existence always continues to be.

[7] Existence cannot be without creation.

[8] This means that the creative process is eternal.

[9] Creation takes place through cause and effect.

[10] This means that cause and effect is eternal and is behind all things.

[11] Because cause and effect is eternal there can be no first cause. Cause and effect just IS as existence just IS.

[12] The eternal source of cause and effect just IS. For this we should be thankful, for without it we could not BE or BECOME.

Question: Wouldn’t evolution as a principle of truth not exist as a progression towards something that is not yet present, achieved, or manifested.

JJ: Then how I am progressing toward writing this post? It is not yet finished and there is no post floating around in some void that I can grab. As I type I am progressing toward creating something that has never been.

Just as existence is self-evident because our consciousness proves it, so is evolution. We experience ourselves evolving, creating and changing. There is no denying this unless we deny reality and existence itself.

Question Are you not teaching that something is created from nothing?

JJ I am not creating this post out of nothing. There is form, energy and intelligence involved as well as hardware.

Why say that evolution would mean we create something from nothing? Saying this does not make it true.

Question: Isn’t everything here in the present right now?

JJ: This may be a fun mind twister, but my post I am writing is not here at this moment 2:30 AM June 3, 2006. Because it is not here it means you are incorrect. It’s as simple as that. Neither is the next universe here yet. Neither is peace on earth here yet. It all has to be evolved. I can decide at any time to not evolve this post.

Existence can only be if there is cause and effect and cause and effect produce evolution. The only thing that does not change in time and space is change. Change is eternal. It has always been and will always be. There could be no existence without it. Without it there would be nothing, or NO THING.

Everything could not exist all at one time because time is produced by change. By going outside of time and space you enter into a different state that is sometimes called the Eternal Now. But all things happening in time and space are not happening in the Eternal Now for it is a different separate world with other things happening therein.

We can go in and out of time and space, but all time and space are not occurring at one time for time is created by motion and if all were occurring at one time there could be no motion, hence no time, hence nothing would be occurring and nothing would exist.

Question: Aren’t your teachings comparable to the paradox of God creating a rock so heavy He cannot lift it?

JJ: If He can create such a rock then he is not all-powerful and if he cannot create it, then he is also not all-powerful. Yet believers maintain that since God is all-powerful that he has a way around this paradox. This way it is some mystery we do not understand.

The truth is that it is a silly question that bears no fruit in asking to begin with.

There are illusionary paradoxes and then there are true paradoxes.

An illusionary paradox is one that contradicts only because we lack understanding, or pieces to the puzzle.

For instance, “life is one, yet many” is an illusionary paradox. When the principle is understood there is no paradox at all.

The example of God creating a rock so heavy he cannot lift it is a true paradox based on the assumption that God is all powerful.

A true paradox has no solution except to reveal that the statement itself is based on illusion. The illusion is this. God is not all-powerful in the worlds of time and space as taught by the religions. He is all-powerful through law, but He cannot violate principle or law. The reason for this is that God did not create principles and laws, but principles and laws merely manifest during creation and all life including God has to apply them to produce desired ends.

To say that tomorrow is here, yet in our experience tomorrow is not here because I am in today is a nonsensical paradox with no solution except to reveal that the premise is not correct.

Question: Couldn’t we travel to the past or future by altering the flow of our consciousness?

JJ: Controlling the flow will not take you into the past or future but only change how you see the present. If we are enjoying something time seems to go faster, but if we are experiencing pain time seems to go slower. Changing the pace of time does not take you into the past or future.

The fact that something will happen does not mean it has happened. That’s like saying pigs will fly someday so they can fly today.

Question: Doesn’t it violate the law of cause and effect to claim the future is not set?

JJ: I don’t know where you get such an idea or the reasoning behind it.

If the future is set then there is no power of decision for there would be no decisions to be made.

If there are no decisions then there is no life for the power of decision is the principle behind life.

If there is no life then you do not exist and I am not reading your any posts or writing this, neither is anyone deciding to read in the future.

Perhaps those who believe the future is set can prove it by picking some winning lottery numbers or to give us the President’s next speech word for word in advance. I don’t think so. No one in history has been able to produce a speech word for word before it is given because it cannot be done. It cannot be done because we are decision and this puts many elements of the future in a state of flux. The only thing that is not in flux are those things which have already been decided.

The future is called the future because it is not created yet. The present is called the present because it is what we are passing through. The past is called the past because it is gone and behind us.

Again I challenge you. If the future is already created look at it and give me my tomorrows post today, word for word. Even the masters can only predict details with about 50% accuracy. Because this cannot be done it basically proves you are not correct.

Perception does not create the future. Decision does.

To say that my future posts exist before they do exist is to say that black is white and orange is yellow.

In our reality the past, present and future are three different things and nothing in reality contradicts this. To argue that in some other reality things are different is like saying in another reality God can create a rock so heavy he cannot lift it. Such speculation is of no use to us where we are in the present.

If I decide and throw a pebble into still water it produces a cause that has an effect. After a short time the water is still again and the effect is producing no more cause and effect. More cause and effect comes from another decision to throw another pebble, not from previous cause and effect.

Decision creates cause and effect, which creates evolution. Thought and decision, and cause and effect are comparable to the chicken and the egg, except they both have always been.

Time is created by change, but not all change creates time as we know it. The realities in the higher worlds are so different from our own that it does little good to discuss them. When climbing a ladder, you must go one step at a time. We must apply reasoning where we are, not where we are not, if we want to get to the higher steps.

There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened. Douglas Adams (1952 – 2001)

Principles of Discovery – Part 3

Principles of Discovery – Part 3

The Question: Even though your foundation beliefs are great stepping stones there does come a time when you will discover that some of them are either not true or founded upon partial truth. What makes this discovery possible?

What are some common erroneous foundation beliefs that we see about us?

A student comments: “When my mind was satisfied, then the new information actually thrilled every fiber of my being! I sat back from studying Strong’s concordance and felt a glow growing inside. Now I had to reorganize my belief system(s) but it felt wonderful to do so: freeing; expanding; powerful new vistas.”

I could really relate to this as it has happened several times to me in my life. It can be very troubling when a foundation belief is disturbed, but then when the barriers are let down there is great joy when higher truth is accepted.

Then we have other examples put forth of illusionary foundation beliefs:

[1] “We” have a corner on the truth. “We” have it and you don’t.

[2] You only have one shot at life, you better do it right.

[3] Evil is more powerful than good.

[4] ‘m not responsible…for what happens to me, for what kind of leaders are leading, for the ills of this world, etc., etc.

[5] It’s so screwed up there is no hope.

Good point here. Some would say that the truth is that good and evil are equal, but such is not so. Good is the dominate of the two and this is the reason that our progression moves forward as an eternal spiral. If good and evil were exactly equal then we would be going in circles for eternity.

Djwahl Khul speaks of the law of dominating good as follows:

“Disease is the Product of, and subject to, three influences. First, a man’s past, wherein he pays the price of ancient error. Second, his inheritance, wherein he shares with all mankind those tainted streams of energy which are of group origin. Thirdly, he shares with all the natural forms that which the Lord of Life imposes on His body. These three influences are called “The Ancient Law of Evil Sharing.” This must give place some day to that new Law of Ancient Dominating Good which lies behind all that God made. This law must be brought into activity by the spiritual will of man.” Esoteric Healing, Pages 29-30

A law of “Dominating Good” lies behind all that God has made. That thought registers well with the soul.

How about problem foundation beliefs on the other side of the fence in the New Age community? Can you name a couple?

Here are some:

[1] Traditional religions and scriptures have absolutely nothing to offer me.

[2] There is no evil.

[3] Learning to do (astral traveling, telekinetics, past life regression) is the focus rather than being (kind, loving helpful)

[4] There are no rules worth following

These are all excellent observations of New Age traps.

[1] Traditional religions and scriptures have absolutely nothing to offer me.

This is an interesting one because the left and right take two extremes on this. The religious right takes everything too seriously, and literally, and many on the left throw the whole Bible out the window thinking it is like kindergarten and needs to be left behind.

The truth is that great wisdom is distilled in this as well as other world scriptures and is very useful when passed by the soul. In my opinion the highest writings are those of Isaiah, the words of Jesus and the writings of the Apostle John. I think we can find here words of spiritual power that are equal or surpass that of anything available in book form.

[2] There is no evil.

I’ve had a lot of discussion with various people in this group with this one. Either they or I have some foundation resifting to do in the future.

We must recall that the esoteric definition of evil is much different than that presented by the fundamentalist. Evil is that which takes us away from spiritual progression and good is that which takes us toward it.

It is interesting that the Great Invocation, which is accepted by many of those who teach there is no evil, has this in one of its stanzas:

“Let the Plan of Love and Light work out And may it seal the door where evil dwells.”

They are not far removed from the Lord’s prayer given 2000 years ago in which He asked to “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”

My question to those who do not believe that we have to be concerned with evil is this. If Christ, the greatest of us all, is yet involved in the world of dualities to the extent that He puts daily attention on sealing the door of evil, then is it not apparent that our foundation beliefs need to be re-examined if we see ourselves beyond this need?

If your teacher is a mile ahead of you on the path and a mile beyond the teacher is refreshing water for which you thirst, then imagining to yourself that you are drinking the water does not produce reality. Instead, it may deceive you into not following your teacher who does know the way and wandering off into strange dark paths and missing the destination completely.

[3] Learning to do (astral traveling, telekinetic, past life regression) is the focus rather than being (kind, loving helpful)

These can be beneficial but at times phenomenon does distract from the needed path of service.

[4] There are no rules worth following.

This was another good one. For the right of the middle the rules are everything, and for the left there are no rules. Those in the middle realize that some rules are necessary for order but not so many that may lead to suffocation.

Here is my rule for rules: Minimum rules – maximum free will.

Here is another shaky foundation belief: “Everything is perfect and should just be accepted the way it is.”

I have heard many people on the left and right make a statement something like this as they are struggling to achieve. Sometimes they word it this way: “If God wants it (or if it’s meant to be) then it will happen. If it does not happen then it is not supposed to be.” Time and time again I have seen this attitude cause the person to cease making that little extra bit of effort necessary for success.

The truth is that you have power to create what you decide to create and as a reflection of God your creations are God’s will. If we want something, all we must do is make a decision to get it and pursue the dream until it is real. If we leave everything up to an outside God, we become like a sandcastle exposed to the wind and waves of the ocean. Disintegration can only occur.

Let us sum up a new criteria for discovery:

Seek out true sources of knowledge, study and incorporate them into your life. Knowledge dispels error and illusion.

Thus we now have six criteria:

[1] Take the things you know (for reasonable surety) to be true and use them as a foundation or stepping stones for testing additional truths.

[2] Be willing to let these foundation beliefs be either altered or dropped as some of them are replaced by higher vision.

[3] The teaching should be in harmony with common sense.

[4] It should increase the power of Decision and free will.

[5] It should bring you to a new level of awareness and usefulness.

[6] Seek out true sources of knowledge, study and incorporate them into your life. Knowledge dispels error and illusion.

Jesus gave us another principle to aid in the discovery of truth. He said:

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” John 7: 16-17

What principle was the Master teaching here and how can we use it in the discovery or confirmation of truth?

Have you ever known someone who has worked his entire life on a goal and did not achieve some measure of success? Unknown

Principles of Discovery – Part 2

Principles of Discovery – Part 2

The question: Aside from reliable soul contact what do you suppose to be the most reliable step to use as a foundation to the search for truth?

Consider this answer: Take the things you know (for reasonable surety) to be true and use them as a foundation or stepping stones for testing additional truths.

This is a principle that is available to all. It does not take a high spiritual evolution, soul contact or any supernatural powers.

Let us take basic mathematics for example. If 1+1=2 and 2+2=4 and you have tried and tested this formula then you can be reasonably sure that these additions will be correct in any other use where they are applied. If you then come across a teacher who has a formula wherein 2+2=5 you may be reasonably sure that a mistake lies therein. If the teacher and the class accuse you of being narrow minded for your lack of belief you should still stand your ground. Make them show you the logic behind the reason that 2+2=5 in their mind. Be open to all possibilities, but remember this. When your foundation truths are challenged the chances are that the challenger is presenting illusion and you should question accordingly.

Question: Even though your foundation beliefs are great stepping stones there does come a time when you will discover that some of them are either not true or founded upon partial truth. What makes this discovery possible?

The truth brings a feeling of joy and peace, or tranquility.

This is certainly true if it is the discovery of a truth that we “seek” as Christ admonished us to do. When we seek and find there is indeed joy.

However, truth can also bring fear and terror.

Consider the person who discovers the “truth” about his spouse’s affair.

Consider the person who discovers the “truth” about a large financial loss.

Consider the person who discovers that he has been traveling the path of illusion for forty years and now must backtrack and start from square one. This truth will make his heart sink.

There are many truths beyond our ring-pass-not that we are unprepared for and would be devastating for us to prematurely learn.

Nevertheless, most of us here are truly seeking our next level of truth and there is indeed joy in discovery when we are ready and seeking.

It is important to realize though that there are many who are happy with the level of truth they have attained, and if someone presents to them a greater light than they are ready for, it will be a painful experience for them and they will often fight against it.

The key for the teachers of this age is to present truth in such a way that it gently works its way into the consciousness of the students. This is one thing I tried to do when writing Book One of the Immortal. I tried to avoid writing about anything that would attack anyone’s belief system, whether they be new age or standard Christian.

I will say this – that even though some truths may be painful for us to accept that when it is accepted there is a certain peace associated with it. Even when the dying patient learns he is going to die the acceptance of such is peaceful. The true seeker will never exchange truth for illusion no matter how disturbing.

There are times when you are faced with a choice between the real and the unreal, what is true and what is false. When faced with such a choice and within your heart you seek the truth, in this case there will be a sense of peace surrounding the truth and fear connected with the false.

Even so, it may take a great deal of courage to choose the truth. For instance, zealots may tell you that if they are right and you are wrong and you do not accept their way of salvation you will burn in hell forever. The temptation fear presents is: Why take a chance? Play it safe and go with us.

To break free from false religion you have to be sure enough of the truth of the love of God that you feel that you are not risking eternal damnation.

I have taught a number of people who are under the threat of damnation from their religion, and generated interest in escape, but most of them fall back on the safety of their church to protect them from the evils of hell fire. Sad.

Now let me repeat today’s question:

Even though your foundation beliefs are great stepping stones there does come a time when you will discover that some of them are either not true or founded upon partial truth. What makes this discovery possible?

What are some common erroneous foundation beliefs that we see about us?

An effective way to deal with predators is to taste terrible. Unknown

Principles of Discovery – Part 1

Principles of Discovery – Part 1

I have been compiling the Principles of Discovery into a coherent treatise and this should give many some food for thought. Here is the first part.

Many of you will remember the list we created detailing the qualities of the disciple and found this helpful.

Now we are going to make another list in answer to the following: What are the principles or steps we should follow in recognizing the truth of a teaching? This should be answered from the vantage point of the average seeker. In other words, telling the average guy to go directly to the Monad and do not pass go would be meaningless to him.

Several of you have correctly stated that we should seek soul contact and trust it, but the trouble is that seekers are in many points on the Path, as far as contact is concerned, so this advice cannot apply to all.

For instance, many are seeking soul contact, but have not yet achieved it in a way they can recognize.

Others have achieved glimpses of it several times, but are not familiar enough with it to avoid deception.

Then there are those who believe they have soul contact, but in reality, have astral contact, not realizing that the astral veils the soul.

Finally, there are those who have true soul contact. They know who they are and know that they know.

Now if I were to teach you about 144 dimensions and tell you to use your soul contact to verify this, the above four groups would give many different answers. Hopefully we can see from this point that just telling you to use soul contact is not enough to bring a mixed group to oneness in the truth.

A group composed of individuals all having soul contact can be extremely unified, but such a group is not our luxury at present. Many are struggling to know correct principles and this group of principles should be helpful to them.

We will create this list without regard to the order of importance and rearrange later if necessary.

We asked the group for input and these three with my comments encapsulate the response:

[1] Run the teaching by your soul (or spirit within) as you understand it as you also run it by the common sense of the mind. In other words, does the teaching make sense?

Whether you are sure or not of reliable soul contact it is indeed important to run the teaching by the highest within yourself that you can perceive. We must not forget the idea of using “plain common sense.” Even one who has achieved soul contact can fall away from it so the use of common sense is a factor that guides us toward the truth and keeps all of us in alignment.

If a teaching just seems to make no sense do not trust it until it does make sense.

[2] Does the teaching increase the power of Decision and free will?

Truth will enhance free will. Even Jesus said: “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” This statement is much deeper than appears.

As far as the group good goes. Truth is always for the group as well as individual good, but this is more descriptive of the quality of a true teacher. But we are getting into an area of subtle interpretation here for both true and false teachers claim to be for the good of the whole. The difference being that the false teachers present an illusion of good and the true ones are making real progress.

[3] Does the teaching bring you to a new level of awareness and usefulness?

The discovery of truth does take us to a new level of understanding.

On the other hand, the deluded one who thinks he has discovered truth but is deceived by error will also believe that he has achieved a new level of understanding. The illusion is usually dispelled, however, when you ask him to explain this new level. The explanation will be ambiguous and the wise listener will see there is no new level for him.

He who finds new truth will reach a real new level and will be able to explain it with clarity because the truth is always simple when realized.

We have three here to get us started, but we should be able to come up with a couple dozen. If we just picked one or two criteria, they may be somewhat deceptive as guides to truth, but if we have a reliable list of say 24 criteria and then use the wholeness of it as a guide, this would be quite helpful to the seeker.

Question: Aside from reliable soul contact what do you suppose to be the most reliable step to use as a foundation to the search for truth?

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. ― Plato

The Passion of God

The Passion of God

“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.” Revelation 15:1

Again, the disciple who follows the path of Christ looks to heaven or higher consciousness and finds another sign, or greater realization. He sees seven angels having the seven last plagues. It is noteworthy that these are the last plagues, or difficulties the disciple must surmount while connected with physical reality. The fact that the seven angels are in heaven tells us that the disciple has mastered all the energies, which govern his body and life. His physical impulses, his feelings, his love, his creativity, his will and all that makes him human is in heaven, or under the control of spiritual consciousness.

”…for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”

The word “wrath” comes from THUMOS, which more literally means “heated passion.”

The disciple must face seven final difficulties that will activate a powerful fiery passion within to continue, no matter what, toward the realm of Spirit.

Now many do not see God as having passions neither do they see Christ or a close disciple as having them, but such is not the case. It is true that we must master our desire nature, which includes our passions. This involves correct detachment, but lower passion is replaced by higher passion.

Jesus demonstrated great passion when he cleared the bad guys out of the temple. Concerning his act of turning over tables and whipping the moneychangers it was written, “The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.” John 2:17

In other words, Jesus was acting out a powerful passion. Even so, will the disciple at the end of his journey pursue his final steps toward liberation with great internal passion, and, unlike the lower self, one that is one hundred percent under his control and directed with intelligence.

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. Revelation 15:2

In chapter four we learned that the sea of glass was before the throne of God. Here we have the additional piece of information that those who have achieved victory over the beast stand on this sea of glass. These have the “harps of God.”

What does this mean?

First contrast a sea of glass to a regular sea. With a regular sea one cannot peer into the depths of the water for the water is never clear. But glass is clear and if we were to look into this we could see the mysteries within all the way to the bottom.

Secondly, you cannot stand on a regular sea, but the redeemed stand on the sea of glass.

The sea represents the emotional nature and until the passions are brought under the control of “heaven” there are stormy feelings, mists, rain and the water is never clear. One can never see clearly into it, nor can he master it to the extent that he can stand on it. One who has not ascended to heaven in consciousness has to have the outward support of a ship to navigate its surface. Our current ships are our friends, family, support systems, psychologists and others who help keep us emotionally stable.

One whose consciousness has ascended, quiets and stills his emotional body so all storms cease, all impurities separate and what remains is a crystal clear emotional body that yields divine passion to the disciple. His light and knowledge is increased and he can use his passion to see with extreme clarity. The fact that the redeemed “stand” on the sea of glass illustrates dominion over the emotional/desire nature.

The fact that the sea of glass is mingled with fire illustrates that the fact that the emotions are purified through yielding to the fiery will of God.

We notice that this victory not only belongs to the disciple having the vision, but the entire redeemed stand upon this sea having the harps of God. This tells us that the disciple who ascends in consciousness and sees this sign opens a door of communion and has an inner contact through the Oneness Principle with others who have gone on before him. Through a merging of the minds, they enjoy the “music of the spheres” as if they were one life.

“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” Revelation 15:3-4.

As the disciple faces the final seven difficulties, he sings two songs that give him strength.

The first is the song of Moses. This is not quoted in Revelations but is found in Exodus 15:1-19

This was a song of faith sang by Moses after the Israelites had crossed the Red Sea and the Egyptians destroyed. The Red Sea was not clear but it was parted and controlled by God to insure safe passage.

The second is the “song of the Lamb.” Again, this emphasizes the power, goodness and righteousness of God.

Absorbing the meaning from these songs gives the disciple the power and faith to tread the path ahead to ultimate victory.

Here are the next verses for consideration”

“And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.” Revelations 15:5-8

“And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.” Revelation 16:1

Opening the Ark

In verse five above, the temple of the tabernacle is a name for the tabernacle that the Israelites carried about in the wilderness in the days of Moses. What is significant in this being named rather than the temple in Jerusalem?

The Glory of God manifested in the tabernacle and it also contained the Ark of the Covenant, which contained the true laws of God. It is interesting to note that the presence of God was much stronger in the crude portable edifice carried about in the wilderness than it ever was in the beautiful and polished temple. In addition, the ark was lost and was not in the temple. The holy place in the temple in the days of Jesus was empty space.

What does this tell us? It tells us that if we want to enter into the presence of God, receive revelation and knowledge of principles, or the laws of God in the Ark of the Covenant, that we need not look in beautiful churches or temples. Instead, we can find God in the wilderness, in the desert, in a humble abode and can find him as we move from place to place as did the ancient Israelites. We may dream of the land of Canaan (heaven), flowing with milk and honey but the closest we will come to God will be as we struggle in the deserts of life. It is the fruit of the struggle that brings the glory of God and the understanding of the true principles within the Ark of the Covenant in the human heart.

In verse six above, their clothing and the golden girdle fits the description of the dress of the high priest who was able to enter the Holy of Holies where the ark was found. If the disciple looks into the holiest place within the human heart, he will find the high priest that mediates between him and God. The higher part of his nature is that high priest and when he gives himself permission, he opens the door to the holiest place and reads the laws or principles of God.

The inner high priest, which is one, has seven expressions or aspects, symbolized by the seven angels that govern the seven basic streams of energy expressed through the seven chakras.

In verse seven above, notice that one of the four beasts gave the seven angels the golden vial. Which one? John does not say but undoubtedly it was the one that had a face as a man, a symbol of the approaching age of Aquarius and the symbol of mind. Mind and reason, linked to Spirit, dictate the passion of God that stirs within and decides when it is to be released.

Notice that the passion of God is contained with “golden vials.” Gold is a symbol of purification through struggle and advancement obtained by great trial. The disciple contains and controls the passions within, with golden thought and pure intent. The time has come to release with passion the final work, which will bring liberation to himself and others.

Verse eight tells us when the decision was made to move ahead with the final work, which will use all his spiritual energies, the disciple senses the glory of God manifesting within the core of his being. He knows he is doing the right thing, but a cloud or smoke seems to obscure his vision of the entire purpose. He proceeds forward with faith knowing more will be revealed later.

He now must not turn back and enter into the peace of the inner temple. He now enters a cycle of labor that may cause much outward disturbance. There is a cycle of dwelling within and seeking the inner presence and there is a time to manifest it outwardly. Now is the time of outward manifestation that will be as a plague to those who are not prepared and set in their ways.

After I’m dead I’d rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one. Cato the Elder (234 BC – 149 BC)

Using Telepathy

Using Telepathy

A reader quotes DK as follows: “I talk now in symbols; I manipulate words in order to create a certain impression; I construct a thought-form which, when dynamic enough, can impress the brain of a transmitting agent, such as yourself.” A Treatise on White Magic, Page 523

Then he asks why the masters just do not send us messages by mental telepathy rather than giving us complex esoteric writings to read?

To this I ask what makes him think they have the power to do this on any scale? A disciple must expand his consciousness into the intuitive world before he can correctly receive the telepathy he mentioned above. The telepathy he speaks of is not just the transmission of words, but of ideas and principles. If a disciple either reads words in a book or receives mere words by telepathy it is the same. The higher telepathy he mentions is the transmission of the ideas behind the words. Only when this higher method is used can the message be received without distortion.

This type of higher communication would be wasted on most people, even many disciples for they know not how to receive them or interpret them. First, the disciple must practice receiving from his own soul and then correctly interpret. Then the master can use the disciple’s soul as a medium of transmission.

Alice A. Bailey is a good example of one who progressed toward being able to receive higher telepathy. When they first started their work DK transmitted the actual words to the books. Then as Alice A. Bailey became more sensitive to DK’s mind the transmission process was refined and instead of receiving the individual words, she received through the Oneness Principle in the language of principles and concepts, and ideas came to her mind first. Then after the concept was formed in her mind, they worked together in creating the English words as a vehicle of the expression.

I have received a lot of material through the Oneness Principle and when received the understanding is extremely clear. But then when it is placed in words a distortion occurs that can only be corrected by the reader interpreting through that same Oneness Principle.

As mankind progresses, more and more seekers will become refined receivers, and there will be less need for words through more understanding of basic concepts.

The principle of speech will, in the far future, be used more as a means of creation than communication, as communication by other means will precede speech.

Question: Shouldn’t we be able to receive telepathy as easily as you are receiving these words through the Internet?

Just like you have to access the internet through a medium even so must an effort be made to access a telepathic message. Very few tune into the intuitive world or higher where there is access. Of the seven worlds the majority can only perceive the physical and astral. Above this is the mental and above that is the intuitive where the Oneness Principle can be accessed.

I can read what you write because my physical brain registers it. It has nothing to do with intuition.

Question: Isn’t consciousness a medium for telepathy? Aren’t even animals intuitive?

Animals are not intuitive, but instinctive. My last class was on this subject. Intuition uses consciousness for the few who are tuned into the fourth plane of the intuition. The consciousnesses of most are separated from it because it lies beyond their ring-pass-not.

Question: Don’t we all have everything we need to receive a telepathic message?

Again, where do you get this idea? Even in communication with average people we can see this is not true. With some people you can send a subtle message and they will get it and others are just too dense.

Many just have too limited of a ring-pass-not to accurately receive the telepathy mentioned by DK.

Question: Why doesn’t someone send me a telepathic message?

Messages are circulating all around you at any given moment just as there are signals from many radio stations. If you know how to tune in you can pick them up.

It sounds like you feel a little miffed because no one seems to be sending you something. You are wrong. Someone is always sending you something, and you need to pick up the lower-level messages before you can pick up the higher.

And what are the lower-level ones? They are the astral messages of friends, associates, loved ones, people in need, etc. There are always cries for help that must be heard by the seeker’s inner self before his own cries for higher communication can be noticed.

The DaVinci Code

We just watched the movie The DaVinci Code

Both the orthodox conservative religious people as well as the liberal critics don’t like it. Since both groups are consistently wrong my desire to see it increased more than ever.

Orthodox religious people do not like it because the plot reveals that Jesus was married. For some reason, zealots maintain that this is blasphemous because it would mean he was not divine. What marriage has to do with being divine or not is a mystery to me.

Actually, the Bible does not say whether Jesus was married or not so it is just as blasphemous to assume he was not married as it is to assume he was.

There is more circumstantial evidence in the Bible that he was married than to support he was not.

For one thing, he was called Rabbi and at that time it was the law that a Rabbi be married. Secondly, at the scene of his first miracle he was responsible for wine at a wedding. The one responsible for beverages would have normally been the groom.

Anyway, this movie is bound to be an interesting point of conversation for a while.

I suspect the critics don’t like it because it doesn’t have a lot of raw emotion and you actually have to pay attention to some intellectual conversation to get the point as the plot progresses.

Ron Howard may not be a great filmmaker, but he usually does a good job.

Jesus Christ was a historical figure of staggering influence, perhaps the most enigmatic and inspirational leader the world has ever seen . . . Understandably, His life was recorded by thousands of followers across the land . . . More than eighty gospels were considered for the New Testament, and yet only a relative few were chosen for inclusion – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John among them . . . The Bible, as we know it today, was collated by the pagan Roman emperor Constantine the Great.

Sophie moved closer to the image [The Last Supper painting by Leonardo da Vinci]. The woman to Jesus’ right was young and pious-looking, with a demure face, beautiful red hair, and hands folded quietly. “Who is she?” Sophie asked. “That, my dear,” Teabing replied, “is Mary Magdalene.” Taken from The DaVinci Code
