Parents: Don and Afton Blanc My mother Margaret Afton Harvey was the only child of Annie Afton Dewey and James Harvey. Annie died two weeks after Afton was born. She was then raised by Nellie and John Dewey. This is why she was called Aunt Afton by so many.

Short comments or thoughts: I so love to know family members and am very glad Joe has started this. I used to help Grandma Nellie with her familty tree records and developed a love and curiosity of family past and present. Like Joe there are some of you I know and more that I would like to know.
I keep in touch with Rae Levi and family. Also Donna’s family. Bob King fishes in Bristol Bay so I see him every summer and two of his boys. Visited with Pam King Buol this fall. Saw Brett Dewey and family in April along with Don. Facebook has been a great way to meet up with cousins.
I live in Alaska and Utah. Splitting my time. I commercial fish in Bristol Bay Alaska June and July. I have three kids. Two girls one son and a step son. 11 grandkids. Oldest 27 youngest 7. Love fishing and traveling and meeting people. I hope to connect with lots more of you cousins out there.

I think our Dewey bloodline is a special one. There are a lot of interesting, talented and very intelligent people descended from John and Nellie Dewey. I haven’t met any that I do not like. I think it will be a great experience to get to know each other better and will be interested in meeting new Dewey descendants at future reunions.
