The Milgram Experiment

Dec 14, 1998

The Milgram Experiment

A while back Dateline had a special on the power of Authority.

They started the show by showing an old clip from Candid Camera. In this clip the victim of the show entered an elevator with about six other people in it. The funny thing was that the other six (who worked with Candid Camera) were told to face different directions at different times.

Now normally when you are in an elevator, you face the door; but this group all faced the inside panel with their backs toward the door. Even though this was very odd the victim did not want to be different so he turned with his back toward the door. Then they showed several clips of the people in the elevator and every time the group turned, the victim turned with them.

It seemed kind of funny and I’m sure the Candid Camera audience got a good laugh out of it, but the reality behind this is the scariest human trait we possess. That is, most of mankind will follow the leader or group even if it makes no sense or if it goes against every moral teaching they have ever been taught.

The second part of the feature had an experiment done with college students. Again they had an unsuspecting victim participating with a group of about a half dozen that knew what was going on. The group was shown a set of four lines and of the four there were two of equal length. They were then asked to pick the two lines that were equal. They showed the lines on TV and it was obvious which two were the correct match.

The next thing they did was to have the planted students all give the same wrong match. Then when it became the victim’s turn you could tell he began to doubt what his eyes and reasoning were telling him. Some of the victims gave the right answer for a round or two but one by one each victim gave in and started giving the wrong answer as the right answer, even though he knew within himself that it was wrong.

The interesting thing about watching their faces on TV was that they all looked a little depressed when they started knowingly giving the wrong answers as right answers. It was almost like the poor kids were selling their souls.

Finally, they showed the most alarming experiment of all authority which was conducted by Stanley Milgram way back in the sixties.

Milgram was curious about how a group of apparently normal people like the Germans could have participated in the Nazi atrocities that were against every moral teaching that they ever believed in. Their excuse was always the same: “I was just following orders.”

Below is a description of the experiment:

The subjects in the experiment were not aware that they were the ones being studied, but thought that they were performing experiments on other subjects to test their compliance through the administering of electric shocks.

When the subjects asked whether increased shocks should be given he/she was verbally encouraged to continue. Sixty-five percent of the subjects obeyed orders to punish the learner to the very end of the 450-volt scale! No subject stopped before reaching 300 volts which is deadly!

At times, the worried subjects questioned the experimenter, asking who was responsible for any harmful effects resulting from shocking the learner at such a high level. Upon receiving the answer that the experimenter assumed full responsibility, subjects seemed to accept the response and continue shocking, even though some were obviously extremely uncomfortable in doing so.

What was interesting about watching this on Dateline was that when the subject hit the high voltage the pretended victim screamed like crazy and even said he had a bad heart and that the experiment was killing him.

The subject then turned to the authority as if asking what to do and the authority told him to continue. If the subject seemed to doubt the authority told him that he would take responsibility.

Then the subject continued to shock the supposed victim past 300 volts until he went silent. This indicated the victim was either unconscious or dead. Still the subject did not cease. He continued to increase the voltage clear up to 450 which would mean that if the victim was not dead yet this would surely kill him.

The interesting thing is that if this was a real happening, the subject would not only have killed another human being which was against every teaching that he believed in, but he would have also been brought up on murder charges. It is scary that even this possibility did not deter the subject from following authority.

The funny thing about these experiments is that the scientists predicted that only one out of a thousand would follow an authority to shock up to 450 volts, but 65% went that far and 100% of the subjects went up to 300 volts, which is still enough to kill.

Thus we have a great example of the true mark of the Beast on the right hand – the willingness to follow blind authority no matter what the consequences.

The interesting thing is that very few people know themselves well enough to know whether or not they would administer the 300 or more volts to an innocent brother. Most would think that they would never do such a thing, but are they right? Remember, 100% of those in the experiment yielded to the authority.

Even more sinister is the mark in the forehead. Remember the philosophy of Big Brother in the novel 1984? It was not enough that people did as they were told. In addition to this it was demanded that they also love Big Brother and totally embrace everything he stood for in their belief system. If someone was caught having independent thought he was not executed immediately. First he had to be brainwashed into loving Big Brother and when the victim demonstrated that he was willing to accept an obvious falsehood from Big Brother with Love, then he was shot, but not before.

Now we must remember that over half of the world’s population is under the direct obvious control of some Big Brother type of government. For these inhabitants there is often no way for immediate escape from the mark of the Beast. They have to at least pretend to go along or they will not be able to get work, will not be able to buy or sell and may wind up executed.

It’s a little different in the Free World. We do not have to receive the mark here; instead, we embrace it by our own free will, just as do the subjects in the Milgram experiment. They were free. They could have gotten up any moment and left, but they did not.

Kyle said that perhaps religion administers the mark of the Beast in the free world. Yes, this is true as shown by Jonestown, Heavens Gate and your fanatical neighbor down the street, but this is only part of the mark.

The mark is demonstrated before us right now on TV by the Democrats and Republicans in the impeachment proceedings (written during the Clinton impeachment). Both sides are going along with group thought. I think out of the 435 Representatives only one Republican and no Democrats defied their party thoughtform and authoritative leaders on the last Impeachment vote.

One of about 435 going against accepted authorities. That’s how powerful the Beast is! It doesn’t matter to the Beast if you are Republican or Democrat, or even which is closer to the truth. What matters is control.

The question we need to ask ourselves is: “Would I be strong enough to be one out of the 435?”

Would we have been strong enough as an early Christian to refuse to acknowledge Caesar as God and allow ourselves to be fed to lions?

Putting religion aside you have to admire these followers of Christ who gave their lives to defy the Beast. Their lives were not in vain, for they paved the way to the wounding of the Beast. Now finally we are in a point in time and space where the whole beast will be destroyed, but before we can destroy such an enemy we must know and understand what it is and how it functions.

The beast, as a whole, is not a country or anything physical, but is blind authority and is demonstrated by the “blind following the blind.”

The beast is destroyed by opening the eyes of the blind, and this we shall do with power and great glory, but first we must open our own eyes to the one authority – the Spirit of God within us.

Next we shall attack the greatest, most discussed mystery of the whole Bible -the number of the Beast. Everything you have learned so far has just been preparation to understand this mystery.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the Beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Rev 13:17 -18

So what is the meaning of the 666?

Marked Authority

Dec 12, 1998

Marked Authority

The forehead signifies thought or thinking and the right hand signifies labor. Now remember the Beast itself is blind authority.

Now with these hints let’s see who can put the picture together for us.

How does one receive the mark in the forehead and right hand and how can one escape the mark, or is it even possible?

Here’s my two cents worth on the mark:

And he had power to give life unto the image of the Beast, that the image of the Beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the Beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the Beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:15-16

Notice that it was not the second Beast (the United States) that gave the mark but the image of the Beast.

To refresh you mind let me quote from a previous article what the “image” is:

The United States made an image to the Beast by supporting and often helping to create governments on the earth pattered after the blind authority of Rome and the other ancient kingdoms. The most popular of them was Communism. The Bolshevik Revolution that established the Communist regime in Russia was financed right out of the United States by wealthy men who saw a great opportunity in Marx’s philosophy. If you ever read Animal Farm you can understand.

The USSR was just a part of the Image of the Beast. Hitler also received much start up capital from the United States and Europe (which adopted free governments). Then we also created and financed other dictators like Noriega, Saddam Hussein, Communist China and many other authoritarian governments.

Thus instead of enjoying a free society The United States and the Free World has reincarnated the Roman empire by supporting this deadly image throughout the world.

This image of the Beast in the present time of our history does cause all within its reach to receive a mark in their right hand or their foreheads. The right hand signifies labor. One with a mark in the right hand obeys and labors for the Beast without questioning.

The mark in the forehead signifies something even beyond action. It signifies thought. The Beast wants you to do more than obey. It wants you to think as you are told to think in the process.

Happiness consists in accepting and adapting to the things you cannot presently change yet proceeding with a firm belief that you can eventually change all things for your good and acting accordingly.

Image of the Beast

Dec 10, 1998

Image of the Beast

Now let’s finish off that beast.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the Beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the Beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the Beast, that the image of the Beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the Beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the Beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:11-17

Question: What is the image of the Beast and what is the Mark in the forehead or right hand?

Hint: It is not the bar code.

All we have discussed about the scriptures, the Beast etc. was for the purpose of understanding the mark and the number. To understand the mark you must understand the core meaning of all we have talked about.

You are all right in the fact that the mark could externalize as a microchip, a tattoo, a bar code etc. But the reality is that the mark is already here. That is the grand realization that keeps the Christian world in illusion and prevents them from removing the mark from their forehead.

Just as Christ came the first time and only 120 people out of the whole world realized it so has in this age the Beast, the mark and the number also arrived and still has people looking for it.

While everyone is brewing over the mark of the Beast let’s talk about the “image of the Beast.”

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the Beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an im•age to the Beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the Beast, that the image of the Beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the Beast should be killed. Rev 13:14-15

Notice that this second beast that we identified as the United States does miracles (plural) in the sight of the first beast. In other words, even though the Beast was wounded by the formation of a free democratic society and constitution, its deadly wound was healed and it now watches on as the second beast does miracles.

What are the miracles performed by this second beast that has “two horns like a lamb” and represents much of what is good about the Christ energy? We’ve already talked about one miracle -the atomic bomb, but there are many others. From this country came the light bulb, the airplane, the Tesla coil, mass production, the Moon landing, the computer chip, the internet, computers, and hundreds of other miraculous introductions to the new age.

The beast watches on as he gains strength. He is like the con man who has found a gifted kid who has developed a scheme to beat the odds at Las Vegas. If he can control the kid he can beat the system. This is the way the first beast (blind authority) works through the second beast (the United States).

People are deceived by these miracles because it seems as if they will only be used for the good of humanity when in the end they are placed in the hands of strong authority that seems impossible to defy. Look what happens, for instance, when someone comes up with a better engine or carburetor. The inventor is either bought out and his work buried, or he is sued out of existence.

Now the verse tells us of an interesting occurrence that has all the Bible readers in the world looking for another Hitler to show up. We are told that the second beast initiates a plan “saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the Beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.” Now overall, the United States seems like a good country so just when could it have ever made an image of the Beast?

Actually, this “Image of the Beast,” is the truth behind the conspiracy theories circulating throughout the world. Nevertheless, we shall go by what is fairly well documented. The United States made an image to the Beast by supporting and often helping to create governments on the earth patterned after the blind authority of Rome and the other ancient kingdoms. The most popular of them is Communism. The Bolshevik Revolution that established the Communist regime in Russia was financed right out of the United States by wealthy men who saw a great opportunity in Marx’s philosophy. If you ever read Animal Farm you can understand.

The idea was to create a slave system where the workers would labor for almost nothing and be under the complete control of the state. If this could be pulled off by big money then they could not only gain even greater riches through such a system, but also greater power. Once a person gets all the money he can spend, about the only thing that interests him after this is power. And the lust for power was the impetus behind the creation of the image of the Beast.

The only thing that has saved us from complete communist control of the world is that the Soviet Union turned out to be a financial disaster, and it fell similar to the description of the fall of Babylon as prophesied. “And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, thus with violence, shall the great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.” Rev 18:21.

We are told that in “one hour is she made desolate.” There is more to this scripture, but it is a good description of the quick fall of the Communist Block.

The USSR was just a part of the Image of the Beast. Hitler also received much start up capital from the United States and Europe (which adopted free governments). Then we also created and financed other dictators like Noriega, Saddam Hussein, communist China, and many other authoritarian governments.

We create an image to the Beast and then when it turns on us like a lion, bear or leopard, we have to fight it and destroy it. After this scenario we then start the process anew and create other parts to the image of the Beast making sure the Beast is always alive and well.

A book could be written about all the parts of the Beast we have financed and maintained since the foundation of this country. It’s as if we feel uncomfortable not having a threat to our existence so we must always create one. Now we are building up the Chinese by selling them missile technology so they can rattle a few bombs our direction.

A short time ago Jimmy Carter went to North Korea and told them that if they will be nice and promise to use nuclear energy for peace we will give them the technology and parts to build reactors. Of course they promised to be nice. We believe them, don’t we?

The scripture continues: “And he had power to give life unto the image of the Beast, that the image of the Beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the Beast should be killed.” Rev 13:15

In all of these countries if you do not worship (kiss up to) the powers that be, you will be killed. The people of Iraq, for instance, are terrified to speak against Hussein. A while back he had a meeting. one person just expressed some concern and Saddham shot him on the spot.

We are opening up trade now with Vietnam, which is still under strict control of the Beast. Then there are numerous central and South American Countries we still support and aid who do not allow free speech or enterprise.

It is obvious that in some countries blind authority is alive and well, but the image of the Beast also exists in the so-called free countries, but on more subtle levels as we discussed earlier.

The United Nations has potential to become a great image of the Beast, but humanity has it within their power to direct the organization toward a good end. It is far from perfect, but it does not yet have the power of the Beast. It does, however, assist in some cases to feed the image of the Beast, or the little dictators throughout the world.

Hopefully this will give you food for thought. Continue pondering and posting on the Mark of the Beast.

Question: What is the difference between the mark on the forehead and the mark on the right hand?

The Beast and the Dragon

The Beast and the Dragon

Congratulations! We have finally finished verse 1; however, we will return and expand on certain points in it from time to time.

Moving on here – verse two reads as follows:

Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat (throne), and great authority.

Question: What is the meaning of the three animals? Who is the dragon and how does the dragon grant authority and power?

I am pleased to see that we have more lurkers responding. I’m not sure if lurker is the right word here. Maybe we should call them watchers or something like that, but whatever you like to be called, we are all glad to hear from you.

We are probably fortunate that we have not scared more away by examining the Bible. I am sure that many Spiritweb members are suspect of anyone quoting scripture. For this reason I was hesitant to start dissecting the Beast in New Age territory, but I think the time of synthesis of the New Age and the Old Age is at hand.

The Beast and the Dragon Continued

All the comments on the leopard, the lion and the bear is useful in contemplation to understand the workings of the beast. In addition to this, Garrett came up with the idea that astrology may be a key to interpreting this book. There is more to this idea than he supposed.

The Apostle John had knowledge of Astrology when he wrote the book, and astrological symbols are rampant throughout the whole book of Revelations. Astrological interpretation is a large part of one of the levels of interpretation, and some savvy astrologers have made an attempt at this and have come up with some interesting material. However, we shall not go into this unless it applies to our level.

Let’s first look at these three beasts or animals: the leopard, the lion and the bear, plus the dragon who gives them power. What do they have in common? The one thing they have in common is that they are all deadly and dangerous and capable of tearing the average man to shreds. Their very presence can put stark terror into the hearts of men. We are aware of the three beasts and have heard mythological stories about the dragon, but one thing is sure. If the leopard, the lion or the bear is sitting at a peaceful rest in our presence, we want to be quiet as a mouse and not do ANYTHING to disturb them.

The beast as a whole had the appearance of a leopard. All leopards are females. The male of the species is called the panther. The symbolism of the leopard being female is important. The female is more polarized on the emotional side than the male. The beast uses emotions, rather than the mind, for its control through the implementation of fear.

The leopard hunts in the dark and strikes with greater power, ferocity, and speed than any other cat. The prey is often asleep with eyes closed when attacked. The Beast hunts out those who defy its authority and seeks them out in the dark when they are sleeping and not expecting attack.

Just like the “leopard cannot change its spots,” neither can the beast. It must always remain true to character.

Next we are told the Beast had “the mouth of a lion.” As we stated earlier, the lion is called the King of Beasts, therefore, the mouth of a lion would be the mouth of a king. In other words, the beast speaks through those who have established themselves as a kingly authority over their fellowmen. This could be an actual king or queen, a revered political leader, a government appointee, a leader of some organization, a religious leader, a cult leader or even your autocratic boss.

The lion is not an animal you want to get angry. When it lets out a roar it strikes terror in the hearts of all who hear. The early Christians who did not accept the authority of the Beast were fed to lions and devoured by them. We should keep in mind, however, that the Prophet Daniel was thrown to the lions, and by faith in God he was delivered from their power.

The Beast had the feet of a bear. The beast will crush under foot anyone who gets in its way. When a bear comes walking in your direction, the smartest thing to do would be to get out of its way. Or we can say that when the beast of authority comes in our direction, the smart thing would seem to be to not challenge it, but just get out of its way.

“… and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat (throne), and great authority.”

Rob commented that the Dragon is a symbol of the Dark Brothers, but it goes deeper than that. In the previous chapter (Rev 12:3) we are told that the Dragon itself has seven heads, so we see that the Beast is like an image we have made to resemble the Dragon. In the days of Moses the blasphemy against God was to make an image (like the golden calf) that represented God. This is what the Dragon does. He makes images or illusions of the real thing.

The Dragon itself has no power over man, but can only establish power through illusion. So he waits and waits until man makes an image of him, and piece by piece throughout history he endows the image with “power, a throne and great authority.” Finally after about 6,000 years from the last Adam (remember there are many Adams), the image of the Dragon is nearly complete.

We humans, by the desire of our egos, as John mentioned, have created a monster out of nothing real. That pleases this great negative life form, which is his only form of incarnation on this planet.

Chapter 12 tells us the Dragon is a serpent and is red. This gives us a clue to additional insights. First, red is the color of blood and the Bible says that the “blood is life.” Interestingly, the serpent is also a symbol of life. The ancients teach of a fiery Serpent at the base of the spine which is the foundation fire of all life in our body. This is also called the Kundalini energy. Thus the power the Serpent seems to grant to the Beast is power over life and death. This gives the beast its tremendous illusionary authority over mankind. If the beast has power to take your life you would want to keep on its good side.

Another interesting thing about the serpent fire at the base of the spine is that soul contact leads to the serpent energy in the base of the spine uncoiling, and it virtually disappears. Then a tremendous energy lifts up through all your centers uniting heaven and earth within you. In other words, when the reality behind the serpent is revealed, your god-like powers are restored and the illusion of the Dragon is no more. The dispelling of the illusion of the Dragon will proceed slowly at first on an individual basis, but the time will come when the Kundalini of the whole planet will be raised and the beast will be destroyed as if by fire.

There is also great symbolism in the story of the Serpent who led Adam and Eve away from the tree of Life by deception. As soon as we see through the deception fostered by the beast, the Tree of Life again becomes available to us. We will discover that we left the Tree of Life — the Tree of Life did not leave us.

Finishing Verse One

Nov 27, 1998

Finishing Verse One

LeLona wrote a good summary so far as follows:

“Now, let me see if I have this straight.

“Rev. 13:1: And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

“The sea is people, us.

“The beast is unjust, unearned, blind authority.

“Seven heads: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome and now many authority figures of the world under numerous kingdoms as one head.

“Ten Horns: North America; Central & South America; United Kingdom; Europe; Russia + neighbors; Africa; India; China and Taiwan; Japan and Korea; The Middle East.

“The ten crowns are: Roman Catholic Church; Eastern Orthodox Church; Protestant religions; Judaism; Islam; Shinto, Taoist; Confucian; Buddhist and Hindu.

“The names of blasphemy: His/Her Royal Majesty; His/Her Excellency; Holy Father; King of Kings, etc.

“The purpose of finding out about the beast: ‘the beast is really us, humanity as a whole, who is having difficulty leaving the old form and moving on to the kingdom of God. We (the sea of people) create the beast mainly by the power of our combined desire to be ruled by what we feel from the solar plexus rather than what we think from the heart and mind.

“Is that about it in a nutshell?”

That’s very good. You’ve been paying attention. We just need to elaborate a little on the names of blasphemy. As indicated in Glenys’ posting, the great name of blasphemy was that the Emperor Caesar went beyond Augustus, to being called Lord, and being deified as a God. Once a year each citizen had to appear before authorities and acknowledge that Caesar was virtually God. Once one did this then he could go worship according to his choice, undisturbed. But if one put Jesus or some other version of God above Caesar, then he was seen as a danger to the state and was usually punished.

The most blasphemous name on the beast is when a flesh and blood man like the rest of us is called and worshiped as a God. It is true that even Jesus said that men are Gods (John 10:34), but he was speaking of God in all of us with equality whether they be great and small. Caesar was declared God as one who was special and unique among men. Caesar demanded to be worshipped and it is blasphemy for one man to worship another man, or even seeing another person as having more rights than he himself possesses.

The interesting thing about the emperors of Rome is that it was not the government who initiated the idea of calling the emperor a God, but it was the people. The early emperors thought it was a silly thing for the people to do. Eventually they were called God long enough and with enough repetition that they began to believe it. The emperors could also see the idea would secure more political power.

One does not need to go to the extreme of calling himself a God to his fellow men and women to have a name of blasphemy, but any name that brings you a reverential respect takes away from the glory that belongs to God alone. As I mentioned earlier Jesus was very cautious about not taking away from the respect due God alone.

I’ll repeat an earlier example:

A man addressed Jesus as “good master.” To this he responded: “Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God.” Matt 19:16-17 Jesus did not even want to take the chance of looking too “good” to his followers, but now the mindless followers think it is blasphemy to call Him anything less than the goodest, most perfect creator God of the universe.

Here is another example:

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, and love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, [even] Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, [even] Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Matt 23: 5-14

Isn’t it interesting how clearly Jesus tried to teach the principle of not using a name or title that exalts one person above another because “ye are all brethren.” The Catholic Church has certainly disregarded the command of “call no man your father…” Using the title or name of Reverend violates the same principle and is blasphemous. One man is to be revered no more than another because “we are brethren” as Jesus taught. Many religions use the title of Holiness or Holy in reference to their leaders. Many New Agers use the title Master when talking about a teacher, but there is one Master and that is the Christ within all of us. If a teacher does not speak to that center within us then we should ignore him.

Talking of a master as one who has mastered a skill is legitimate as well as referring to someone as a teacher, follower, disciple or things that describe a person’s work in a way that does not place him above another just because of position.

Royalty uses all kinds of blasphemous names to God such as Your Highness, Your Majesty, Your Excellency, and so on. Even the idea of one being a king or the divine right of kings is blasphemous. One person has no more divine right to be a king than does another.

Then there are many titles that are not blasphemous because they do not indicate that man is taking the place of God. A title is correct if it merely indicates the job he is attempting to do in this life: President, Mayor, Judge, Senator, Doctor, Professor etc. There is nothing untruthful or disrespectful about these names.

You will find, however, that wherever unjust authority rears its ugly head, the person exercising it will revel in the chance to be called by some title that belongs to God alone.

Then there are religious and political organizations where blasphemous names are not allowed, yet if the leader is still revered as one who is infallible or able to commune with God in a way that the average guy cannot, it corresponds to a name of blasphemy. It will be just a matter of time before the illusionary name surfaces to fit the thoughtform.

Truly great leaders are examples of what we are to become, not examples of holiness that we cannot attain. When is the last time you heard a person with a Godlike title speak in such a way that it spoke to your inner Christ and caused your heart to burn? Probably never.

Yet many of you felt an inner stirring from reading The Immortal, written as fiction by a man with no title, making no claims. I am content because this is the greatest honor that one person can give to another: to have that which is within the soul of one, light the soul of another like the passing of a candle.

Naming Names

Nov 26 1998

Naming Names

All the heads, horns and crowns of the beast have numerous names of blasphemy.

Belle named several: His/Her Royal MajestyHis/Her Excellency

Hint: The worst blasphemy is when the man without is substituted for the attributes of the God within.

Lelona and Alice defined Augustus as meaning exalted, the most high, Sacred. It also implied a Holiness. Remember that Rome was called the HOLY Roman Empire?

Forget the fact that Augustus is literally a title for so is Christ; yet the Bible also calls Christ a name. A title when applied uniquely becomes a name.

Augustus is a name that belongs to God therefore to give it to an illusion of God is blasphemy for one man (or woman) is no more sacred or holy than another.

Taking the name of Augusts was just the beginning, as we shall discuss later. If anyone on the list knows the real reason why Christians were put to death on a mass scale go ahead and post it. What name did they reject?

See if you can post any more names the Beast loves to accept.

Belle gave some good additions here and Diane came up with some great historical research. Be sure and read it if you haven’t.

Belle’s additional names:

His/her Royal Highness

Holy Father—Pope

His Holiness-Pope

His Eminence

His Grace

Imperial Majesty

Serene Majesty

Lordship

Most Reverend

Most Worshipful

Why are these blasphemous names?

Rick’s King of Kings or even King is not far off. Notice in verse two that the beast is compared to a lion and the lion is called the king of beasts or the king of the jungle?”

The Names of Blasphemy

Nov 25, 1998

The Names of Blasphemy

I believe it was Dave who wrote:

“Just to be sure, JJ, do we have the full understanding of the word Blasphemy? I’d hate to be guessing at the names without having a full understanding of the word. I understand it to mean, “Offensive to God,” basically. It’s not a word I focus much of my time on. Since, in a matter of speaking, I’ve heard this word used against people so often, I’ve grown to hate it… It seems to cause hate…”

We might note here that Jesus was crucified because he was thought to be a blasphemer. Few of us today think He was a blasphemer, but the fact that He was so accused illustrates that one man’s good works is another man’s blasphemy.

Of course the reverse is true. True blasphemy may at times be praised as a wonderful thing by many.

Such is the case with the Beast.

First let us truly define what blasphemy is so we can all be on the same page. The word as translated in the Bible comes from the Greek word BLASPHEMOS and in relation to God literally means “speech that hinders (God)” By inference it can mean “outrageous, untrue, vicious or unfounded speech against God or something sacred.”

Now the interesting thing is that the Beast had on his heads the “names of Blasphemy.”

We can sum up the direction the guesses have been made with the following list:

  1. Adultery
  2. Fornication
  3. Uncleanness
  4. Lasciviousness
  5. Idolatry
  6. Witchcraft
  7. Hatred
  8. Variance
  9. Emulations
  10. Wrath
  11. Strife
  12. Seditions
  13. Heresies
  14. Envying
  15. Murders
  16. Drunkenness
  17. Reviling

Based on what religions have taught about the Beast in the past these names seem fitting, but to discover the true names we must realize that when any being bears a name he realizes that he has the name and introduces or has himself introduced by such name.

When we accept a name for ourselves we are not ashamed of it but proudly present it before all to know and use.

Some Bible believers think that the Emperor Nero was the Beast because he was so evil and persecuted the Christians but I assure you he did not want to be known by a name like liar, murderer, hater… In fact if anyone called him any such thing he would have lost his head.

There was a blasphemous name that the emperors of Rome as well as the other heads of the Beast proudly acknowledged and were happy to be proclaimed to the world. You probably learned this name which was used in Rome in history class. If you figure this name out the next question is: What are the names of blasphemy the Beast goes by today?

Ten Horns Revealed

Nov 24 1998

Ten Horns Revealed

Rick was close enough that we will just list the ten. One way to interpret this is that the ten divisions of the world are the ten horns and the ten divisions of religions are the ten crowns. The churches and temples are like crowns upon the land.

Note that the division of the world is more along the lines of consciousness than strictly on boundaries.

The Ten Horns:

(1) North America

(2) Central and South America

(3) The United Kingdom—Includes Australia & New Zealand

(4) Europe

(5) Russia and neighboring countries

(6) Africa

(7) India

(8) China and Taiwan

(9) Japan and Korea

(10) The Middle East.

The Ten Religions or crowns are:

(1) The Roman Catholic Church

(2) The Eastern Orthodox Church

(3) The Protestant religions Includes the Mormons even though they claim not to be protesting.

(4) Judaism

(5) Islam

(6) Shinto,

(7) Taoism

(8) Confucian

(9) Buddhist

(10) Hindu.

Atheism and the New Age are not religions in the Piscean sense. For instance, they have no churches or temples and what religion there is among New Agers is often closely aligned with Buddhism.

These ten religions account for about 99% of the church affiliations in the entire world.

Thus we have then ten horns and ten crowns who have given life to the beast even in our modern times.

Now for one more question and we will be done with verse one!

We are told that on his heads are the names of blasphemy. The King James says “name” but most modern versions correctly translate this as “names.”

What are the blasphemous names on the heads of the beast?

Finding the Beast

I would like to point us in the right direction in looking for the beast here. Because all the religions have told us that this beast will surface at the end of time and be so evil that Hitler will look like Snow White. We tend to look at the bad things going on around us and figure that must be because of the beast.

The power of the beast is much subtler than that and sometimes when the power of the beast is diminished things will seem to get worse.

For instance: When The Soviet Union collapsed and the Berlin Wall fell, the power of the beast (unquestioned authority) was greatly diminished. Because the power of the beast was so strong there before the fall, the power of decision was diminished and the power of the people to do either good or evil was low.

But when the people were granted the power to question the Beast and the power of freedom was greater, crime and many negative things actually increased. This is a normal result of an increase in freedom. An increase of freedom brings an increase of both good and evil for a period of time, but then as people solve their problems the evil is brought under control.

Believe me the US Constitution was not brought about by sitting around and talking about peaceful things. The friction was so great that they almost came to blows and some thought nothing could ever come out of so much fighting.

What is more evil than crime, immorality, corruption, bickering etc. is the controlling use of subtle authority that removes our power of Decision so we do not even recognize the enemy and no longer “know good and evil.”

So in looking for the beast in Politics or anything else we do not look at all the normal things that infuriate us about it, but we look at where the control is.

What could a good conservative or liberal do to help the country that would bring the wrath of his party down on him?

Crowns

Garrett Wrote:

J.J. Dewey posted:

“…One way to interpret this is that the ten divisions of the world are the ten horns and the ten divisions of religions are the ten crowns. The churches and temples are like crowns upon the land.”

“And now a quote from The Immortal (page 234): ‘So did Jesus or Joshua as you call him live the 1000 lives?” “At least that many,” said John. “I indicated this in my Book of Revelations Chapter 19 verse 12. I stated that on the head of Christ were many crowns. Tell me: how do you suppose Christ received many crowns when he is only recorded as living to the age of 33?” “Could the many crowns have something to do with many lifetimes?” I asked. “Correct,” he said. “Each crown here represents a life where a great victory was achieved…

“J.J.’s revelation on the symbolic meaning of the ten crowns on the beast in Chapter 13 verse 1 from the Book of Revelations does not seem to mesh with Chapter 19 verse 12, which is revealed in The Immortal, on page 234.”

Excellent question.

A crown represents an achievement or victory. The crowns on the head of Jesus represents past lives where there was great achievement.

However in the eyes of those who are deceived by the beast the churches themselves are more important than the teachings of the great men who founded them and represent crowns of achievement and glory to them. In addition remember that there are several levels of interpretation to each symbol in this book.

Recognizing The Beast

23 Nov 1998

Recognizing The Beast

How to Recognize the Beast

You have given some good answers about the beast (blind authority) in our schools. However, some have pointed out the effects and symptoms of the beast rather than the beast itself.

Blind authority is administered through government organizations, unions, teacher organizations, textbooks, school administrators, principles and even the teachers themselves. Remember the beast is a power rather than a simple object we can point out with black and white certainty. This blind authority is a shape shifter moving from place to place. You have to learn to recognize it and then be eternally vigilant to rise above it.

Here is how to find where the beast is raising its ugly head. First realize that a just set of rules or laws is not necessarily from the beast. A certain amount of rules and laws are necessary. Order and stability in society demand that we respect all laws and rules supported by an informed majority. But you can spot the beast when you operate within those laws and rules and still get in trouble. Observe how the line of authority is administered and you can then run down the workings of the beast.

The Student

He is told by the teacher that he is supposed to be learning, be creative and use common sense.

So for political science class he writes a paper presenting a totally different view than his teacher has. He has followed the rules and was creative, did good research and all his facts are reliable, but the teacher gives him a D and refuses to discuss the merits of the paper.

The Teacher

A certain teacher teaches everything required by the rules, but goes the extra mile and also teaches some Phonics which is not the standard authorized method but it seems to work better than anything else available.

He is then called in by administration and told to cool it if he wants to keep his job.

Next this same rebel teacher publishes a letter in the local paper stating how he supports competency testing for teachers. He does not name names but presents several examples of incompetence in the school where he works.

From that point on he is treated very coldly by all authorities over him (and some teachers) and is passed up for promotion and even has some trumped up charges brought against him.

A School Administrator

Bob, a fair-minded authority figure decides he wants to do more to help the kids so he works for a proposal to cut administrative costs by one percent and give the money to teachers so they can have a good miscellaneous account to buy badly needed materials for kids. He realizes that the average teacher only has about $60 a year to spend on the kids whereas administration wastes thousands on expensive conventions, travel and entertainment. He thinks that his group should be able to sacrifice a little for the greater good they claim to support.

He is aghast when he is called in by superiors and told to lay low here and not upset the apple cart. Sure the kids could use a miscellaneous account but that can be handled through a tax increase. Administration needs every dime it can get and more. He now realizes that if he does not play ball he will never move up the ladder and may even lose his job.

The Parents

This is a true story I saw on TV a while back. A school was in desperate need of a ball field and the school was low on funds so the parents in the district got together and built one with their own funds.

However, school authorities told the parents that no one could use the ball field unless they built a second one because if the school has a ball field at all it must have two, one for girls and one for boys. There must be equal opportunity, even though the girls weren’t bothered if they had one just for them. Consequently the ball field gathered dust because the school was threatened with lawsuits if it was used at all.

Sad isn’t it, but that’s the way the beast works. All seems well as long as you play along, but when you disturb the power of the beast you then find where his presence is.

Next Question:

Where is the power of the beast manifest in Politics? We won’t pick on one party here over the other. For the sake of this discussion we’ll talk about politics in general.

2nd Horn

No one seems to be taking a stab at the Ten Horns so I will give a second horn. On the Physical level the first horn is North America and the second is South and Central America. These are two divisions in consciousness on the planet that rule with the beast for “one hour.” What are the other eight?

On the spiritual level the first is the Roman Catholic Church and the second is the Protestant and related Christian churches. Again, what are the other eight?

The Seven Heads

22 Nov 1998

The Seven Heads

A mountain symbolizes many things in various writings. The lifting up of consciousness is one common interpretation.

However on the basic level in Bible interpretation a mountain stands for a kingdom. Thus the “mountain of the Lord” is a symbol of the kingdom of God.

The fact that the beast has seven heads symbolizes seven world kingdoms from the viewpoint of the Biblical writers.

Glenys hit the nail on the head by naming six of the seven heads; they are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia (Includes the Medes), Greece and Rome. However, this is not new. Some astute Bible scholars have guessed that these may be six of the heads. Nevertheless Glenys is to be praised for digging it up. The seventh head is what baffles them. Many think the seventh head will be a great world dictatorship that will be controlled by the UN or something like that.

Actually the beast has never been without an active head. After the fall of Rome the seventh head became active, but instead of one kingdom representing a head the many authority figures of the world under numerous kingdoms became as one head and still is. This idea will seem very fitting as we continue.

Verse one continues by saying there are ten horns and ten crowns on the beast. What could they be?

Hint: These are prominent on the seventh head.

22 Nov 1998

Ten Horns

Let’s continue with the “ten horns and ten crowns.” These exist in the seventh and final head of this period. Within this seventh head or kingdom there are ten divisions that John saw as ten kingdoms. Additionally it is written:

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.” Rev 17:12-14

Notice that in the past the beast always overcame the saints (or lights of the earth), but now the ten horns of the beast shall be overcome by the Christ Consciousness.

Some of the most astute Bible scholars think the ten horns represent Ten European nations who will combine to make one superpower from which the beast will emerge. The trouble is that these do not correspond closely to the scriptures including the fact that there are now eleven members. (Note: As of June, 2016 there were 28 member nations)

The ten horns are dual which duality has a correspondence to the two horns of the second beast. The first part of the duality are ten divisions of political thought and consciousness on the earth. If we consider the world instead of just the part, the first one is North America. What are the other nine? The second aspect is the spiritual divisions. As a hint, one of these is the Roman Catholic Church. What are the other nine? These are called kingdoms as seen by John because of the subtle use of authority. They can still herd us as animals just as much as the kings of old did.

22 Nov 1998

Havara

I’m sure we all found Ruth’s letter very interesting. The fact that she had such an encounter with dark forces indicates that she is a “light worker” and on the verge of an expansion of usefulness in the field of service.

I would advise her to put full attention on the positive aspects of the spiritual work as if negativity does not exist, yet be prepared as if it does.

She was chanting: havara havara havara havarum

This is not part of a language as we understand language, but is a part of a method of invocation understood by some of the ancients. She probably retrieved this from a past life memory as it was one of the best phrases from all her past to use to call upon the power of God for help.

Havara basically invokes “God the Father” and Havarum is a symbol of the Trinity. There is more to this but the full details are a part of the final set of keys.

There is also a Hebrew phrase Seudat Havra’ah which was intoned for condolence at funerals that could have some link to a past life memory.
