Handwriting For Change

Question: Does changing your handwriting change your personality?

I was 16 years old when I first studied handwriting and like many kids that age I wasn’t satisfied with who I was. Even though there were no studies at the time I suspected that if I changed my handwriting, I could change myself. I therefore decided what it was I wanted to be and attempted to change my handwriting in that direction. I made a discovery. Changing your handwriting was about the same difficulty as changing yourself through normal means. Some things are fairly easy once a definite decision was made and then other things are extremely difficult.

Then as time moved on, I discovered I really did not want to be what I decided to be at that young age and decided to let my handwriting and personality evolve naturally. If I saw through the handwriting that I was moving an undesirable direction I did seek to make corrections through handwriting and personality change.

What is interesting was that studies were later done as far as using handwriting to change personality and it was proven to have an effect. The studies proved the same things that I concluded. Some things are fairly easy to change and others very difficult. If a person picks an easy change and attempts to write with that change several times a day the personality will begin to change within about six weeks.

One of the easiest beneficial changes is done through the ‘T’ crossings. If a ‘T’ is crossed with a powerful stroke — long and with heavy pressure, slightly ascending and near the top of the stem a number of beneficial things will occur. The traits associated with this is a strong sense of purpose, determination and a desire to improve.

Here is a great statement to write for ‘T’ crosses:

“Take the time to think today.”

Write this about a dozen times a day making strong ‘T’ crossings and in about six weeks you will feel more positive and confident in yourself.

Learning Handwriting Analysis

A reader asked if I have any book recommendations for those who wish to learn handwriting analysis.

First let me say that there are two schools of approach on the subject. The first and most popular is graphology. This concentrates on analyzing the letter formations and various embellishments as to their meaning.

Books on this method are readily available for a reasonable cost.

The second is called Graphoanalysis. This I believe to be the superior method, but one must take an expensive course to learn it — currently it costs $1495.00. I took this way back in the 60’s and it was pricey back then also.

The International Graphoanalysis Society which gives the course is quite exclusive and views their method as the one true method with almost a religious outlook and gives little credibility to graphology.

Both methods have a lot of truth and I have incorporated the best of them both into my approach.

I don’t even see the graphology books on Amazon that I studied 40 years ago but did check to see what was available recently and purchased what seemed to be the best one. It’s called “Handwriting Analysis” by Karen Amend and Mary S. Ruiz. I haven’t studied it but looked through it looks like it covers the basics pretty good.

You have to be a member of The International Graphoanalysis Society to buy any of their books and they are quite expensive. Sometimes one can pick them up used over on Ebay or Amazon.

The most useful books of the Society are “Basic Traits of Graphoanalysis,” a two volume set. I checked Amazon and the cheapest set there is $100.

Or just type in Graphoanalysis in the Amazon search feature and a number of used books on the subject will come up. The book by the founder M N Bunker is a good read but it doesn’t teach you how to analyze. There are some other economical books that may be useful, however.

I also noticed that Amazon had several books on changing your personality through changing your handwriting.

To understand why changing your handwriting can change your personality consider this. Handwriting is basically frozen action. In the outward life if we change our actions on the outside it also changes us on the inside. For instance, if one is an introvert or shy and he forces himself to be more outgoing then it will not be long before he is truly more outgoing. When one changes his handwriting, he is doing the same thing. He is changing his actions frozen in handwriting which has a very similar effect to changing actions in real time.

Question: “So can you tell via handwriting also if a person has multiple personalities such as schizophrenia, where some other astral entities occupy that person’s head space as well?”

JJ: Yes, these problems would show up in the handwriting, but more importantly the basic handwriting would show some problems that would open the door to the greater problems, unless there is a purely physical cause.

Handwriting of Presidential Candidates

Since there is interest in the character of the presidential candidates for 2008 I thought I would analyze some of their handwriting.

There is one small problem. That is the candidates handwriting is very difficult to run down. One would almost think they are avoiding having their handwriting examined.

Obama’s Handwriting Analysis

Since Barack Obama is the big winner In Iowa I thought I would start with him. After spending considerable time searching for his handwriting all I have been able to find is his signature.

This isn’t much to go on but it does reveal a couple things.

First it reveals a pleasant personality having a degree of charm. Obama likes to take on responsibility. He is creative and fairly intelligent has good integrity according to his belief system.

The most troubling thing about him (according to his handwriting) is if he were to become president is his inclination to gloss over details. He will go for the big picture but without a full plan–or maybe with no plan–and hope the correct foundation gets laid and things work out. If he is lucky others will step in and fill the gaps, but if his is not then disaster could result.

He is also quite secretive so don’t assume he gives us all this thoughts or plans.

He is sensitive about his name. Because it is different, I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t kidded about it when he was young and has hurt feelings over it that he has not yet released.

More on Obama

I have found a small sample of Obama’s regular handwriting and a couple more signatures so I thought I would add a little more analysis.

The most striking additional detail is the size of the B and O in his name in relation to his regular writing as well as the page in which he places his signature. They are very large filling up about half a page. This shows a tremendous desire to be the center of attention. Usually, the only place you see a signature like this is in the acting profession where the desire to draw attention to themselves causes them to enter the profession. This desire for attention is also a glamour which all servants of the race must master.

On the positive side his handwriting shows good intelligence, good rhythm and charm. He has lots of confidence and exudes personal energy. He is very creative and probably could have been an artist or actor if he put his mind in that direction.

His thoughts are very fluid rarely is there a lack of words in his reserve. This makes him a resourceful public speaker and his creativity makes him an interesting one.

He has some a great sense of rhythm and timing and good sense of intuition (using the standard definition of the word).

His personality appeal is likely to be mistaken for spiritual energy by many. To find the real man one must carefully examine what he actually says rather than how he says it.

For instance on many issues Obama insists he has a plan but does not tell us what the plan is. This was the same approach Richard Nixon used and I remember it well. After he was elected I was curious to see what the plan was going to be, but it turned out he had no real plan but pretty much flew by the seat of his pants.

Huckabee’s Handwriting Analysis

Next, we’ll look at the handwriting of the other big winner in Ohio–Mike Huckabee.

It took some searching to find samples. I found several signatures, but nothing else.

He has a trait similar to Obama in that he is sometimes short on details of how he is to accomplish his goals and thus the end result of his projects will often turn out different than he imagined. It is not as pronounced as Obama, but it must be taken into consideration.

For instance he wants to replace the income tax with a 29 percent national sales tax. If he is elected president and doesn’t cover his bases we are likely to have a big sales tax with a loophole that will bring back the income tax in addition to this.

His handwriting shows a high degree of charm–that he is able to get people to do things his way through his personal appeal.

He is intelligent, curious and a self-learner. When interested he is capable of learning a subject quite well.

His intelligence is muddled somewhat by his strong emotions and passions that foment within him. When he feels emotionally attached to a belief then the strong emotions will override his normally high intelligence and he may make an illogical decision. Even though his emotional reactions are strong he does not suppress and is able to work through disappointments and hurt feelings.

He has a quick temper and a strong emotional memory but normally does not hold a grudge.

He is impulsive and gutsy and will move ahead where others fear to tread.

He is very idealistic as are many who are religious. He expects perfection out of himself and others and thus is often disappointed in the end.

He has a sense of humor, is generous and has empathy for the downtrodden.

Even though he is a good talker he has a secretive side that filters his words as he speaks so what you hear is not always what he is thinking.

Romney’s Handwriting Analysis

A reader said he was anxious to see an analysis of Romney’s handwriting. Since he is said to be the winner of Sunday’s debate, which may catapult him to victory in New Hampshire, we’ll do him next.

Again all I have is his signature. We can get some good details out of a signature, but we do not get the full picture. The reason is that the signature represents the image the person is attempting to present to the world and the other writing reveals more of what he is in his regular more real living moments.

The signature is often much different than the regular writing just as the image we try to project is different than how we are with friends from our youth.

Even though we are limited in examining the signature there are certain traits that will come through that will be in all of the subject’s handwriting.

The first thing that catches my attention about Romney’s handwritings is how many points are similar to Huckabee’s.

They are similar in having high emotional response, passion and strong, but charming personalities. Romney and Huckabee are the two most religious ones in the race, but Huckabee puts a lot more attention on the abstract side of religion whereas Romney tries to apply it on a more practical basis. His attention is more on making earth a heaven than dying and going there.

For being in such a restrictive religion Romney is quite a free spirit (as indicated in the letter formations of his first name). This is evidenced by the fact he was prochoice for some time even though this position is frowned upon by the Mormon church.

He had big shoes to fill in that his Father was President of American Motors, governor of Michigan and presidential candidate. His signature indicates he handled this well by attempting to make his own mark and be his own person rather than rely on his Father’s reputation. Being his own person is very important to him. It really bothers him when someone tries to stereotype him because he is LDS, rich, had a famous dad etc. He really wants to be known for what he has dome and what he is.

He pays respect to traditional Mormonism, conservatism, mom and apple pie, but he really tries to think outside the box and is willing to take quite bold action that will surprise his traditional associates. He is an interesting combination of liberal and conservative thinking, but is always looking for ways to make liberal change while upholding conservative values. He is not bullheaded about having his way but is willing to compromise and meet others halfway.

An outstanding feature of his handwriting is that he is a visionary. He sets goals that are impossible to reach unless a person has great determination, self control, passion and intelligence. Fortunately for him he is usually able to achieve these high goals. This feature reminds me of the handwriting of Thomas Edison. If Romney becomes president he will definitely not be a caretaker of the status quo. Also he is unlikely to mess around with interns as he has great self control.

He is very intuitive and independent, yet a team player when the situation calls for it.

Hillary Clinton’s Handwriting Analysis

Since Hillary Clinton just made a big comeback and won New Hampshire let us analyze her next.

Fortunately, in this case I have a reasonable sample to analyze.

The most outstanding feature of her writing is her intelligence. This must be respected whether one agrees with her or not. She has a very sharp mind, very perceptive and almost psychic in tapping into her gut feelings. Overall her basic intelligence is higher than her husband’s. This doesn’t mean she will be right more than him but that her capacity to use her brain to get what she wants is higher. If she had an affair she would be much less likely to get caught than Bill would be.

She’s very good at thinking on her feet and strategizing. Critics often have said that nothing happens by accident with her but everything is planned. There is probably some truth in this as she is much more capable than average of staging events to create an outcome.

Just before the New Hampshire Primary she was caught on camera almost coming to tears and critics think this was staged. It could have been as she has a lot of control over her emotions and could have staged such a thing to influence votes. There’s no way to know for sure, but her handwriting reveals the intelligence to plan such a thing.

She projects to those who know her a strong desire to compromise and get along. She doesn’t fully follow through on this projection. She makes people think she is more cooperative than she is but she is still more flexible and willing to listen more than her critics believe. She does legitimately change her mind from time to time.

Her writing reveals that one area where she does not hold back on compromise is with her husband. Some think she stays with him for political reasons only, but this is not fully the case. She sees him as a fun-loving guy to be with and goes out of her way to accommodate him. He brings out the free spirit within her and she likes that and this causes her to cover up and forgive his sins as much as political ambition.

She has been much more aware of his infidelities that she has let on and has calculatingly formed a defense time and time again.

She has a healthy emotional intelligence and does not suppress. If she gets angry she will release it and if she is hurt she will work through it.

Another surprise for some is that she is not in politics because she wants attention. She is in it because she is a true believer in her ideology. She actually has lower self-confidence and esteem than average and doesn’t have as much faith in herself as appears. Her lack of confidence is probably the real reason she did not run for president in 2004 instead of a calculated decision.

She overcomes this self-image problem with dogged determination, self-control and a calculating mind.

As far as revealing her thoughts goes she is all over the map. With some people she will be very open and candid and they will feel special because she is extremely open. With others she will hold back and reveal little. The with a third group (probably Republicans) she will be very secretive as well as deceptive.

She has a lot of male energy and if I did not know who had written the sample I see I could not tell if she were male or female.

She is careful about choosing her close friends.

She has many things she wants to accomplish but has difficulty in creating the steps to accomplishment the follow through even though her desire to accomplish is great.

She is sensitive to criticism.

She likes to make up her own mind and doesn’t like people making decisions for her. Once she makes a definite decision she holds to it strongly and proceeds with determination.

The bottom line is this. If she has a practical belief system she can accomplish much good, but if she has illusionary beliefs then she can take many people with her along an undesirable path.

John McCain’s Handwriting Analysis

Let us next look at the handwriting of John McCain. I have several lines of regular writing in addition to his signature.

Several traits stand out as I look at his writing and reflect on his record and personality.

First, he is a strong idealist. He seeks for perfection in the abstract sense beyond that which is to be expected with the resources available.

Secondly, he is a very accommodating person to those who approach him in a friendly way. To such people he will go out of his way to compromise and even yield up his own will.

Thirdly, he has a desire to obtain personal recognition, though not nearly as much as Barack Obama.

Like Obama he also tends to gloss over details of how a thing is to be accomplished and leaves too much up to others.

Putting this altogether it explains why McCain often worked with friendly Democrats to get legislation through that irks his own party.

It also explains why he was such a big believer in the McCain Fiengold Campaign Finance bill that did more harm than good.

He had the ideal that candidates should not be corrupted by money and helped draft a bill that on the surface would help further that end. Fiengold was a Democrat friendly toward him and McCain compromised where necessary to get a bill put forward. Many in his own party opposed this, but he received much praise from Democrats and the press.

Unfortunately, the devil is in the details and the bill was not only circumnavigated in a way that brought even more corruption but it limited the public’s free speech during the important 60 days before the election.

McCain would stand up fiercely against an obvious enemy, but a subtle one could get the best of him. All an opponent would have to do is appeal to his idealism and express interest in working together and he could then get John to sign agreements contrary to American interests.

In most cases John is very secretive. He is hesitant to spell out all his thoughts and motives on legislation or what he truly thinks on various subjects.

Even though he is very willing to compromise another part of him loves to buck the system and act contrary to expectations. He is not a team player, but may appear from time to time to be playing on the other team. He gets a certain amount of satisfaction for being a contrarian.

McCain is above average in intelligence but not as sharp as some of the other candidates. Hillary would probably beat him in a debate even if he had more truth on his side.

Unlike many politicians McCain does not like conflict and will tend to gravitate toward those who will tell him what he wants to hear. He has a difficult time dealing with failure and tries to play it safe politically. He is likely to skip over more qualified people for appointed positions in favor of those he likes personally.

If he gets the nomination he is likely to pick a vice president he likes above a candidate who has criticized him but that can get the votes.

He is sensitive emotionally and has empathy for others. He has sincere feelings that he wants to make a difference.

Rudy Giuliani’s Handwriting Analysis

Next let us pick on Rudy Giuliani. After a lot of research I have only been able to run down his signature, but on the positive side I have found four different copies. This will give me an idea of the variance of the writing on different occasions and times–so this helps with the analysis.

The most striking thing about his writing is how strong of a people person he is. The man could not stand being in a job where he had little interaction with other people. He loves and is stimulated by surrounding himself with people to communicate with and bounce ideas off of them.

He is very practical, yet creative and likes to center himself in the here and now rather than idealist ideas that may never materialize. This was one reason he was so good after 911. He centered himself in the now and made practical decisions to assist his city.

Even though he was raised Roman Catholic he is not likely to be religious or take religion that seriously. This is because he centers himself on the practical side of life and that which can be accomplished with visible results. Philosophies that cannot be proven have little attraction to him.

Unlike John McCain he is a good team player and expects the same of those under his authority.

He not only likes being around people but has a strong personality that draws others to him. He is very passionate about materializing his desires, yet not overly emotional. He has powerful material goals that he wants to see fulfilled. He has enough emotional response to be warm and friendly yet reserved enough to not shed tears unless he is in an extreme situation.

Like some of the other candidates he is charming and gets others to do his will through his effect on them. He is aggressive when necessary and will seize opportunities as they present themselves.

He appears to be a difficult man to influence. This is because he is decisive and good at follow-through. But contrary to what appears he will listen to other views and consider them as much as possible without violating his principles. If one wants to influence him he must be careful to be considerate and not be in the attack mode as his mind blows up negative comments beyond what they were intended. If a person is positive toward him Rudy will go out of his way to help them.

Rudy is very secretive until a person gains his trust. Then he will open up and reveal a surprising amount of confidential information. He will be deceptive with the public when it serves his interests. He may not be completely on the level when he promises conservatives that he will appoint conservative judges or other conservative acts. His inner intention is to do the practical thing, as he sees it, whenever possible more than strictly fulfilling promises.

He is very intelligent and a quick thinker. All the candidates I’ve analyzed so far are above average but Rudy is right up there with Hillary with brain intelligence and up there with Obama in emotional intelligence.

John Edwards Handwriting Analysis

Since the first time I laid eyes on him I have hoped that he never achieves any authority over my life and now that I see his writing I understand why.

The main reason this guy wants to be president is he sees it as a path to personal glory and adulation from the people. While it is true that most candidates like to bask in attention and have some glamour, most of them have some type of service to the country and people in mind. This guy has service to himself as the goal and manages to conjure up tremendous personal energy for such an uninteresting task.

Edwards decides what he wants and goes after it very aggressively. There is almost nothing he would not do to achieve his desired personality ends. Then when he makes some gains he holds on to them tooth and nail.

In politics as well as other facets of his life he has a hidden agenda. That which he reveals about himself or his thoughts will either be the opposite of the truth or a little truth with the rest covered up. He is very secretive. I would wonder if even his wife knows the real John Edwards.

If I didn’t know who this guy was and someone showed me his signature I would guess he was a cult leader. His ideals and visions border on fanaticism and if he were not a politician he could have easily been a preacher with a vision of the end of the world talking people of low intelligence into signing over their homes to him.

He is very passionate and emotionally responsive to the extent that many average people feel he has reached out to them in some way.

He is quite gutsy in going after what he wants. He goes where angels fear to tread.

Like many other politicians Edwards can certainly turn on the charm, but what he cannot do is create a plan that appeals to the intellect of anyone of vision.

Pray that this man never becomes president.

Ron Paul Handwriting Analysis

Let us move on to the controversial candidate – Ron Paul. Fortunately, I have a pretty good sample of his handwriting plus signatures so I should be able to be fairly accurate.

The most striking thing of his writing is how childlike it is. Many of the characteristics of has handwriting are like that of an obedient eighth grader who is doing his best to follow his teacher’s instructions. Also there is a significant interest in the past. He likes things that are old, often just because they are old and belong to a previous era. He sees the past as more desirable than the present or the future. I wouldn’t be surprised to discover that he wishes he lived 200 years ago.

He is very thrifty in his own life and will painfully do without to make his personal finances work. It looks like this attitude carries over into his politics as he is very supportive of reduced spending.

He doesn’t like conflict and doesn’t like to argue and has difficulty in dealing with hurt feelings when a conflict arises. He has a hard time forgetting and forgiving people who offend him – but would probably not admit this publicly. Even though he does not like conflict he has a strong sense of duty to defend that which he has been taught that he deems to be true. This may lead him into conflict. When someone disagrees with him he likes to just give his views and let it go at that. It bothers him when someone directly challenges his logic – unfortunately, this does not happen often.

One surprising thing is what a team player and conformist he is when he is viewed as such a rebel. How can this be true?

It is true because he has picked his team. To the other teams he seems to be a contrarian and rebel but to his own team he walks in lockstep seeking to conform to his own group thoughtform and not offend any core values.

Of all the candidates he is the strongest conformist, but the conforming is to his own group.

He learns by study and absorbing that which is written or taught by his mentors and then conforming and promoting those teachings. He’s not a quick learner, but a methodical one who takes in things one step at a time. A lot of his answers in interviews and debates that seem spontaneous are not but prepared in his mind beforehand. He’s not big on thinking on his feet, but draws from a reservoir of information stored in his brain that makes him look more spontaneous than he is. This is evidenced when he is asked a question that he has not seen before. In this case he seems to stumble or merely says he has no answer.

He is the least creative of the candidates analyzed so far and this is one reason that some find him refreshing. Instead of giving a creative answer that can be seen as spin he just gives a fairly straight up answer that makes him look like a non politician.

Because he gives stark answers many assume he is very honest and open, but such is not there case. He is very secretive and unlike others we have analyzed he is consistently secretive and has thoughts he has never shared with anyone, even close associates. He will deceive when it is necessary to protect objectives he does not want made public. When he seems to be giving starkly open answer he is often holding back.

He is perhaps the most controversial politician in America now, but if he revealed all he really thought he’d probably be locked up or at the least shunned like a leper.

He has an average emotional response to situations and people, but strong passion for his beliefs. His emotional intelligence is lacking and needs to work on being more emotionally spontaneous. It would probably lengthen his life 5 or 10 years if he let loose and partied like a wild man for a few months. He is wound too tight and needs to loosen up a little. This statement has nothing to do with his political views.

He suppresses emotion but is a believer in exercise so this helps to neutralize some of the negative effects of the suppression.

If he were to become president he would probably become very frustrated as his simplistic approach to creating change would produce little change. After about two years in office rumors would start circulating that he is thinking of resigning and planning on moving to a faraway island to salvage his sanity.

Fred Thompson’s Handwriting Analysis

Again, with Thompson I am limited to two signatures I have found and am lucky to find them.

He has two characteristics that were found in several other candidates. First he likes to be the center of attention, a trait often found in actors. Wait – he is an actor, isn’t he?

Secondly, he has lots of ideas but short on a detailed plan to materialize them. He probably relies a lot on underlings to assist in filling in the details.

A problem with his campaign is he is accused of lacking energy and enthusiasm for the job. I’m not sure how old my samples are but they indicate he can be very motivated and enthused if he really wants to do something. The writing cannot reveal all a person wants to accomplish but I would guess that his total heart has not been in becoming president. If he ever embraces this quest 100 percent, I think we would see him get a second wind and be more animated. In fact, this seemed to happen to a degree in the last debate. I think that if his poll numbers shot up we would finally see a more energized Fred.

Fred is emotional and impulsive at times and will make gutsy, even courageous moves when the situation requires it.

He has a strong desire for success and quite determined. He takes a lot of pride in his past work and his pride was a factor in delaying entry into the race. If he entered he really wanted to do well and was not sure he could do this, and thus the hesitation.

He resists overt efforts to change him or his mind but tries his best to cooperate with friendly faces, even if he disagrees with them.

Fred vacillates between being very inclusive to being fairly exclusive depending on the situation and his mood. Overall he has a wide variety of relationships and loves to talk about his favorite sports.

Like most of the candidates he is very secretive and will not reveal all he plans in his campaign speeches. This seems to be a common trait with presidential candidates.

He is above average in intelligence, a quick thinker and worker and not easily fooled. He has pretty good self-control for a politician.

Christ and the 9000

A reader commented on a statement by Djwahl Khul that after the reappearance of the Christ he will be assisted by 9000 disciples. Where will these come from?

I also found this figure of 9000 assistants interesting. It is fewer than the 144,000 expected by some Christians, yet many more than those who were with Christ the first time.

Actually, Jesus had more assistants than the twelve apostles. We are also told that he sent out 70 other disciples to teach and heal. In addition, we are told that a company of women followed him. After the resurrection there were 120 faithful that met together.

But here’s the interesting thing. When he was here 2000 years ago, he and his assistants only ministered to only a few thousand people. Jerusalem had a population of about 80,000 and the whole land of his administering was less than a million.

When he comes again the world will have over 6 billion people and he will be able to reach most of them through the modern media. Because of the vast numbers that will have to be reached he will need much more assistance than he did before. I would suppose he will need at least 9000.

This does not mean he will have this number in the beginning of his ministering. It may take over a hundred years to prepare this many disciples to be of real service.

DK evidently was able to come with this number because the Masters keep track of all disciples on the planet and they probably assessed that there should be 9000 ready for teaching when he needs them.

I know that for many who earnestly seek and want to share light with others it may seem that even 9000 would be an impossible number to gather. I have been teaching on the internet in this forum since 1998 have we have only gathered 436 members to this group and most of them are not ready to do any teaching.

Part of the work for all disciples in and out of this group is to seek out and gather those who can assist Christ when he comes. It indeed looks like we have a long way to go, but the soil is more fertile than it appears. Think back to the story of Elijah in the days of Ahab and Jezebel. Elijah was discouraged because he thought all Israel was led astray by their wickedness. He complained to God that he was the only faithful person left. Obviously, he felt very alone. He was in for a surprise, however, when he heard the voice of God correcting him. The voice told him that he was not alone, but there were seven thousand others who were yet faithful.

I’m sure Elijah’s first thought was: “Where the hell are they?”

Correspondingly, we gather in this little group of 436 members with maybe a dozen posting regularly and some may also be like Elijah, look to the skies and ask: where are the others? Are we alone in seeking to pave the way for the Master?

There are many thousands my friends and they will eventually be reached. There are also other groups with other purposes, but the same ultimate goal of preparing the way for the Master. Hopefully something we do here will eventually go viral and gather in more seekers.

Predictions 2008 (Written Jan 2, 2008)

If anyone wants to make predictions again for 2008 feel free to do so. I think I made mine about the middle of the month last year and will wait a little while before I comment on last year’s predictions.

If you made predictions last year and think you were on the money let us know and we’ll see who was the most accurate.

I think we need some kind of point system for determining who made the best predictions.

For instance, let us suppose someone predicts that Dennis Kucinich will not be elected president or that we are going to have weird weather. This is of course about 99 percent certain that it will come true and is not impressive and therefore not worth many points, even though it may prove accurate.

On the other hand, if someone had predicted that Huckabee would surge in the polls that would have been a good one and worth lots of points.

Also if the fulfillment of your predictions are clear and not subject to interpretation more points are deserved. For instance, someone mentioned scandals associated with Republicans. Now Larry Craig was seen as a definite scandal by all, even though it was a small one in my opinion. Larry Craig tapping his foot in the bathroom creating a misdemeanor has little to do with job performance, but for most people in the nation it seemed to be a big deal.

On the other hand, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Rumsfeld actions were considered scandals by the Democrats but praiseworthy by the Republicans and were subject to interpretation. Clinton, for instance, fired over a dozen times more attorneys than Gonzales did and this was not considered a scandal on his part.

Again, let me remind the group that my teaching on seeing the future is this. Certain ends can be known that are decided by higher lives but all the details of the future are fluid and cannot be known completely. If a person can achieve 50 percent accuracy on specific points that are not obvious then he is probably tuning into some spiritual currents, but even the Master DK [Djwhal Khul] was no more accurate than this.

That said, I encourage members of the group to give their predictions for 2008. It will be fun to see how close they come.

Here are several questions you can answer.

Who will be the Republican and Democrat nominees?

Who will be the next president?

Will the dollar fare better or worse against the Euro?

What will be the main source of destruction this year? Will it be weather, fire, hurricanes etc?

What will happen in the housing market?

What famous celebrity will die?

What actors and movies will win academy awards?

Add anything you want to the list.

The Art of Prediction

I have written a lot of material over the years, but I have rarely made predictions. The reason I rarely do this is my realization that no matter how inspired you think you are it is virtually impossible to be 100 percent accurate in all the details of the future. If all the future is written in stone then there is no free will. If one believes in free will then he also has to believe the future is not set and impossible to predict in all its variables.

As I said earlier there are some things that are close to 100 percent predictable, but there are also many things that are not.

I remember when the tabloids used to publish predictions by psychics at the beginning of each year. Some of them were pretty outlandish like: “Elvis will return and run for president,” or “Aliens will hold a press conference on the White House lawn” — things like that. Then there were a handful of predictions that seemed like possibilities. Almost every year some psychic predicted that we would have an economic collapse or a great natural catastrophe.

I was curious how accurate these would turn out to be so I collected them for a number of years and after a period of time looked back on them to see if anything came to pass. As it turned out I was amazed at how inaccurate these predictions were. I never found one that really hit the nail on the head.

I did find one though, but the psychic was not a part of an annual prediction. About a week before Princess Diana died I was checking out some groceries when I noticed a headline in a tabloid about a warning from a psychic to Diana. I picked it up and read it and noticed that she was giving Diana a warning that her life was in danger and she must take certain precautions.

About a week later Diana died and I thought to myself “finally, someone got a prediction correct. I’ll bet this will be in the news or at least the tabloids.” The funny thing is though that I never saw another word about this prediction.

If one wants to predict the future the first thing he must realize is that he will not be 100 percent accurate, but if he follows the right procedure he can be a lot more accurate than the average psychic.

Here is what must be done.

First the individual must gather all information available on the subject and absorb it and let it circulate through his brain, mind and spiritual self.

Secondly, he must eliminate all authority from the past and project into the future based on what he knows for sure, not what someone tells him is supposed to be.

Translation: Many people do not see the future correctly because they are following a prophet of some kind, a book or interpretation that is supposed to be the final word from God. This often distracts their mind from perceiving the true reality.

Thirdly, he must contemplate that which he wishes to know while raising his consciousness to the level of Spirit.

If he does these things he will see some things that will definitely come to pass but then see others as probabilities. Where free will is still largely at play he may see a 70 percent chance that a certain thing may happen.

Now the economy is a little like the weather. It has so many variables that it is difficult to predict with a high degree of accuracy. But I will tell you of a group who have had the worse track record of any group when making predictions on the economy. No its not Merrill Lynch or Wall Street, but prophets of doom. Ever since I started paying attention to the economy back in the Sixties there have always been doomsday predictions out about the economy. These predictions not only came from false Messiahs and spiritual leaders, but also students of the economy.

Here is basically the trend of the predictions that I have observed over 40 years.

The economy is going to hell in a hand basket within the next five years. Yes, a great depression that will eclipse the 1929 crash. They always say it will come within a few years — usually around five. Then after the five years pass and the economy survives and sometimes prospers another book or teaching comes out with the same theme, but different words, and still giving us another five years or so. For about eight sets of five year periods I have watched the predictions of economic doom come and go unfulfilled.

The funny thing is that a stopped clock is right twice a day so I figured that we are lucky nothing really bad has happened to the economy since about 1938 as the depression was ending. If it had, the current prophet of doom would have surely taken full credit and gained a following.

That said let me repeat my prediction:

“The banks in the United States will not fail over the next twenty years (from 2007) even though they will have problems that will cause many to think doomsday is around the corner.”

As I look at the banking system and use my own common sense while ignoring prophets of doom I see no reason that the banking system would completely fail over the next twenty years. Some banks may fail but the system as a whole should remain intact.

Yes, there are problems — the national debt and deficit spending but if this trend continues the worst that will happen will be some strong corrections. The value of the dollar or the stock market should not drop any more than a strong correction of around 30 percent unless something extraordinary happens.

The worst case scenario would be a nuclear attack. This could destroy the banking system as we know it, but then after the pieces are picked up a banking system would be reestablished.

The chances of a nuclear device going off in the next twenty years and causing great alarm by killing many people is about 80 percent in my opinion. The chance of an all-out war where much of America is destroyed and all systems break down is about 15 percent. Our leaders will have to make some major errors to allow this to happen, but it could.

I believe the odds are greatly in favor of the banking system holding up over the next twenty years, but this is not a sure thing — just highly probable.

We had better hope it holds up because there is no group of people ready for what would happen in a total breakdown of our society. If you want an idea of what would happen read my story “Journey’s End”.

Cycles and Predictions

Question: You have stated, if I’ve interpreted correctly, that people start the death process once they crystallize in their thinking. This holds true for countries as well. So my question is: how is death determined when the soul chooses not to crystallize for the entire life?”

JJ: This is a good question and has received some interesting comments.

Overcoming crystallization is one of the keys to overcoming death. The principle used to overcome it is called being “born again” in the scriptures.

Most people naturally go through one born again experience after their first Saturn cycle around the age of 28-29 years of age. They have finished their education and settle into their career which takes a totally different mindset and way of thinking than did the preparatory years.

The second cycle runs from the ages of 28-29 to  56-59, but if preparations and flexibility are not maintained earlier then crystallization will set in. Only about 10% of the people avoid it by the end of the second cycle.

The third cycle is arrived at around the age of 85 and very few are born again at this age.

A person does not physically die right after he crystallizes but overcoming crystallization definitely extends life as well as the quality of life. Many will live 20 or 30 years after crystallization but they will drift with little sense of any new purpose and will tend to live in the past.

Overcoming crystallization alone will not extend life indefinitely, but life cannot be greatly extended without overcoming it. To extend life as do the Masters one must be born again in consciousness and select a new purpose which will require life extension. If he moves successfully toward it and it is in harmony with higher will, the Spirit will infuse him with new life energy, even to the renewing of his body.

Many of those who do go through the spiritual rebirth for the third time do not have the spiritual will to overcome the gravity of an aged body, which has a low energy level. These will still accomplish some significant new works but yield to the death process and rest until they are ready for a new quest.

Predictions Examined

A reader questioned my predictions especially the one that between 2007-2027 there will be no complete banking collapse for those twenty years. He is pretty sure one is coming soon.

JJ: First of all, let me give a few comments on prediction. Most people think that God knows every little detail of our future, even when I am going to snap my fingers next or who the next lottery winner will be. They think that all we have to do is get a revelation and we could get a complete roadmap to the future.

This is completely false and has no basis in reality and has never been demonstrated. The truth is that there are some things we can know and some we cannot.

Here is what we can know.

* That which is cyclic.

Examples: We can predict the exact moment the sun will come up in the morning or even 100 years from now because of cycles. A solar eclipse can be predicted thousands of years in the future and the position of Neptune and other planets in space can be pinpointed as well.

Some cycles are exact; others are approximate. The cycles of history are approximate. One can examine the principle that history repeats itself and then make predictions accordingly and be fairly accurate, but not 100 percent. An immortal with a greater knowledge of history and cycles could make much more accurate predictions than you or I, but still not get all the details correct.

• That which has been decided and lies within the deciders’ power to achieve.

Example: If I decide to wear a green shirt tomorrow then I will be pretty safe in making a prediction about it because this is within my power to manifest.

Even so, many things have been decided by God, Gods and Higher Lives. If one receives a revelation of their purpose and intent then it is possible to know that which will come to pass as related to that decision. All the elements that will bring the decision to pass are impossible to know but to know the end and the beginning is something that can be achieved.

Correspondingly, I can know that I will wear a green shirt tomorrow, but I do not know the exact second I will put it on or if I will spill some crumbs on it while eating, neither do I want to clutter my mind with such details.

• That which has been calculated by the mind of God. An aspect of the mind of God is like a great unlimited computer that has access to all data and principles. Access to this mind, something I call The Oneness Principle, can bring forth some fairly accurate predictions, but again not infallible.

To comprehend this in even the slightest degree we can examine the weather. There are millions of influencing ingredients that determine the weather tomorrow, the next week, the next year, century etc. A good weatherman with reliable data can predict tomorrow’s weather with maybe 80 percent accuracy, but the accuracy goes down each day thereafter. Even so, some long-term effects can also be seen. It can be easily predicted that it will be colder in the winter and hotter in the summer but how hot the summer will be and how cold the winter is much more difficult. Some progress has been made in predicting the intensity of the seasons, but we have a long way to go.

Now we have the global warming alarmists predicting doom for us by claiming to know the effect of CO2 over the next 100 years, but the temperature of the earth has virtually remained the same since 1994 and this year (2007) the planet is experiencing record-breaking cold in many places so all the computers in the world will still not tell us for sure what lies ahead.

Correspondingly, the Mind of God is more accurate than any computer, but still not infallible. Some cycles and events can be seen, but not all, neither does God or any of his reflections want to know all the details as this would make life unbearingly boring for God or man. The main advantage of accessing the mind of God is the comprehension of principles rather than absorbing tedious details.

Now even if the mind of God was a perfect computer the accurate prediction of all the details of future events is not possible because of one thing. Independent intelligence is pervasive throughout the universe and all intelligence has a degree of free will. Free will makes it impossible to predict all things with 100 percent accuracy.

For instance, no one, not even God can predict the wins and losses of a football season, let alone the final score for even one game unless he is lucky. The reason for this is because of all the decisions that goes into the game. Each play requires new free will decisions and each time the quarterback throws the ball a crucial decision must be made. Will he take the safe pass or the daring long shot? Even he does not know until the last instant.

As an experiment I made some predictions at the beginning of the year and most of them have or are coming true, but I missed on the Superbowl prediction. I tuned into that great spiritual computer and sensed a strong force behind the New England Patriots and predicted they would win the Superbowl. They were doing great up to the final playoff against the Colts where they were 20 points ahead at the half. Then everything fell apart and they blew one of the greatest leads in playoff history.

But… even though what I received did not translate into 100 percent accurate details it was accurate. This year the Patriots look like they may have the first unbeaten season since the Dolphins 35 years ago. I was certainly correct in perceiving the force was with them, but that did not translate into me seeing how it would all work out.

Many seem to think the test of a true prophet is whether or not he can predict the future, but few can predict the future with over 50 percent accuracy. Joseph Smith was one of the best and yet he was only about 50 percent accurate. Edgar Cayce was less than that and most psychics are less than 10 percent accurate. Would be Messiahs and “One Mighty and Strong’s” are about 1 percent. No one that we have an accurate record of has been more than about 50 percent accurate.

If we gauge the measure of a prophet by his accurate predictions then instead of setting the bar at the impossible 100 percent it should be around 50 percent. This much accuracy would show that he is sensitive to higher mind.

Females in Heaven

I recently have been making an attempt to enlighten some of the rebel Mormons that are out there. Standard Mormons will not read anything I write, but at least disenfranchised LDS will read a little. Reaching their unfiltered souls is a monumental task though, but I feel I should make some effort.

Here is a response I received to my last post on Hancock’s vision:

Reader: “Let’s say there are one-third more women in heaven than men.

“It has nothing to do with the men, it has to do with the fact That GOD lets any women who wants to be a God and procreate Have that choice.

JJ: None of us are permanently male or female. As we incarnate from life to life, we change genders on a cyclic basis. You and I have been both male and female a number of times.

In between lives we can assume the physical appearance of the sex with which we are the most comfortable but essentially, we are neither male or female.

Jesus indicated this when he said:

“And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:” (Luke 20:34-35)

In the next world there is not marriage as we know it because there is not sex as we know it. There are not more females than males in heaven because in the spirit one can assume the shape of either of them.

I know the D&C [Doctrine & Covenants] puts a different slant on this scripture, but it is not accurate and I doubt that it was written by Joseph Smith.

What would happen if one is sealed to multiple partners through the Holy Spirit is that it would insure he would meet them and have relationship with them in a future life. The idea that we will be sealed to a dozen wives and dwell with them on some planet in a physical condition and have spirit children has a lot of illusion in it. All the LDS teachings on it are interpolations of the teachings of Joseph Smith, but Joseph did not lay out the concept the way it is embraced by modern Mormonism.

Eternal progression as spoken by Joseph is not obtained by getting a bunch of wives so you can have lots of children in the next world. For one thing, if you have twelve wives some of them will be males in the next life and if they are fundamentalists in religion, they will want to have wives and will cringe at the idea of being eternal wives themselves.

Eternal progression is obtained through obtaining spiritual unions where single lives unite to create greater lives. This is the key that was missed by the early LDS church.

This is the reason that Joseph sealed men to men as well as men to females.

The Last Days

(NOTE: I posted this in 2007 to a rebel Mormon group to give them something different to think about. I make no claim to be an infallible prophet, but some of these turned out pretty close)

How I See The Last Days

[1] The last days are not the last days, but merely days representing the time at the end of one age and the beginning of another. There will not be a last day on earth for billions of years.

[2] There will not be major earth changes for over 100 years. There will be some startling and frightening events, however.

[3] There will be no major gathering of saints in Missouri for over 100 years. The LDS church will acquire the temple lot though and build an impressive looking temple on it, but there will be no cloud of glory descend neither will Jesus show up. It will be some time afterward that the temple lot will shift to the hands of the just.

[4] The LDS Church will continue as a growing church for many decades to come with no mighty and strong one replacing the prophet as some expect. Major change will come from outside the church, not the inside.

[5] The change inside the church will be baby steps that head toward liberalization. They will blend more and more with regular Christianity.

[6] The banks in the United States will not fail over the next twenty years even though they will have problems that will cause many to think doomsday is around the corner.

[7] The year 2012 will not be particularly significant (at least on the surface) even though many are predicting doom or great change in that year.

[8] There will be false Christs and false Mighty and Strong Ones but they shall not speak like Jesus neither will they be mighty or strong. There will also be true prophets and teachers but none of significance will be connected to the LDS church.

[9] Within 20 years Iraq will be a stable democracy in the midst of the Middle East. The Iraqi people will build statues dedicated to George W, Bush and he will also look pretty good to American historians from that point on. Future historians will compare him to Harry Truman.

[10] It will take 1000 years to build Zion and the true beginning is yet to come, several decades hence. 150 years from now enough progress will be made that faith will begin to increase and many will work toward manifesting it.

[11] The Constitution will indeed hang by a thread or less. It will eventually seem that the thread is broken and America is no longer America. Not even the elders of the church will step forward to save it, but a new America will be reborn through the gathering of lights from many belief systems who believe in the principle of freedom.

[12] The Second Coming will not happen as expected just as it did not last time. When the Master appears, he will not announce himself as Jesus Christ but will be known by a regular name – could be George, Ron or Paul for example. He will merely go about laying the foundation of Zion and Peace on Earth Goodwill to Men and only those close to him who feel of his spirit will recognize him. He will not be acknowledged by any organized religion – at least not at first.

There is never a guarantee the future can predicted accurately, but this should turn out pretty close.

Analysis of Hancock Vision

One of the problems on the path for many seekers is their over reliance on authoritative sources. This problem begins with the scriptures themselves. Even though a scripture may be true it is still subject to many interpretations. Many will thus look at a true scripture and receive an erroneous interpretation from it and cling to that interpretation because it is “the infallible word of God” and is not to be questioned.

The wise seeker will not automatically accept a common interpretation to scripture or even that which at first appears obvious. The only way to know if you are on the right track is to see the principle behind the words and then see that your interpretation aligns up with true principles.

This problem is extended, especially among the LDS, to early Mormon figures who are considered an authoritative source. Many will read a statement, revelation or vision from them and accept it without question. Even if part of the material is obviously incorrect this does not challenge belief in any way.

I’ve seen this vision by Mosiah Hancock and others quoted as if we are to accept them without question because it was given by one of the early brethren. The first problem though is that there are several things that are obviously incorrect so the true seeker should question it immediately, but I do not see this happening among Mormon believers.

The truth is that most visions contain some seeds of truth, but few are literally 100% true. An intuitive connection with the higher spheres wherein true principles lie will bring forth much more accurate truth than a literal study of the scriptures, visions, authorities etc. These should be used as seed thoughts to elevate the mind to the world of principles rather than literal truth that can wind up having a hundred different interpretations.

Many visions come because a person is seeking an answer over a period of time. The question is that if the person is sincere why would he get a vision that is not 100 percent accurate?

The answer is simple. Few are capable of receiving a vision that is 100 percent accurate. Each person will receive truth from a higher source that is filtered through his belief system.

Mosiah’s vision was no exception. He was given the highest he could receive without shattering his belief system. The vision he received made him feel like continuing the good fight and it thus served its purpose.

The errors in it are not the fault of God but of the many filters constructed that the answer must pass through.

That said let us examine this vision in the light of day without preconceived notions.

There are several things that do not make sense here and I’m surprised that no one has ever, to my knowledge, pointed them out.

[1] We are told that the female companions of the followers of Satan were not cast down and would be given to the faithful warriors. The vision says that one third did not take sides and these will only have one mate. Doing the math here this means that there should be 50 percent more females allotted to the earth than males.

Problem: There have never been 50 percent more females on the earth than males. Birth has always been close to 50-50.

[2] Those who refused to participate in the war in heaven were to be a “race of servants.” Notice that he says “race” and not “races.” In Mosiah’s day the race of servants was interpreted to be the black race. The vision says these are a third of the hosts of heaven. Since two thirds of the inhabitants of heaven are to be born, that would mean that half the people born on earth should be black – and this is not the case — by far.

Do you really believe that every black man here refused to go to war in the pre-existence whereas all the others did? This does not add up.

[3] “The females were taught to weave, to knit, to sew and to work in everything in their departments.”

I think my wife skipped class here. She neither weaves, nor knits or sews and few do in this age. Even in Mosiah’s age a woman could learn to weave, knit and sew without previously knowing how to do it. It seems to be a great cosmic waste of time for all the females to spend an eternity learning this knowledge which is not required from this age forward.

Besides, in the higher spheres our clothing can be created by the power of thought. No weaving is necessary.

[4] “No females took part against the Father and the Son, but all took sides in their favor, except the neutral ones already mentioned.”

“I never saw a female leave her place in the class assigned her by the Heavenly powers.”

This does not make sense at all. If you believe that there were billions upon billions of females there who had their agency and not one single one rebelled with the billions of males who rebelled then I have some green cheese to sell you from the moon.

What makes this even more unbelievable is that one third of the females took their male companions by the arm and made them not participate in the war. So billions of females resisted going to war but none rebelled with their mates?

Does not compute.

I’ll tell you this. If you have known some of the females, I have known you would know with crystal clarity that many of them are just as capable of rebelling against a plan as are the males.

[5] Spirits were sworn to commitments that they would have no memory of when they came to earth.

They were asked:

“Will you obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ, when you go to that earth?”

“Will you obey that higher law?”

“Again the question would be asked of the males, If you will not join the Church of Christ, what do you wish to be?”

“Will you sustain the laws of God and also the rights of all mankind?’ and the answer in every instance was, yes.”

Now let us look at the situation here as accepted by traditional Mormonism. In the pre-existence we were told we were being sent to the earth, but we will lose our entire memory of our previous existence as well as any intentions we had then. Then, before we take off to earth we are supposed to promise God what we will do when we get there.

In this circumstance if I were asked of I would “obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ” I would answer something like this.

“Well, it looks like I am going to start with a blank slate when I am born on earth. I would hope that I will chose right when I get there but I do not see where I have the power to commit to something I will not remember. Why would you require this of me? Just send me down and see what happens. Then you will know if I will choose right or not.”

[6] The rebellion.

The first thinking that seems strange about this is that even before the rebellion Lucifer is described as being “a very high military officer.”

This tells us that in this supposedly peaceful pre-mortal state that God had a military composed of various ranks and orders. Why would an omnipotent God have a military composed of spirits that cannot hurt each other?

Then when the war of rebellion was fought we are told:

“At last I saw, as it were, a platform extended where the contest could be decided. I was indignant at the opposition as we fought with our opponents.”

This seems an odd way to fight a battle in heaven. It is also interesting that no one seems to have a clue as to how the battle was fought. They were all spirits so they could not kill each other. What did they do then have a big shouting match? Were the third just pushed off the platform so they fell to earth.

Much is missing from the picture here.

That said then what is the truth of the matter here? Was Mosiah’s vision pure folly?

No.

He was given some basic truth given through the filters of his belief system but those who read it literally will greatly miss the mark. The core truths must be seen and interpreted through the spirit. The vision was helpful to Mosiah’s progress at the time but not helpful to many in this age.

A Vision

There has been discussion in various Mormon related groups about the vision of Mosiah Hancock about our premortal life.  I’ll quote the vision in this post and make comments in subsequent posts.

A Vision of The Pre-Mortal Existence of Spirits

“I shall now return to Payson. {visions} About the time I was one and twenty years of age, I know not whether to call it a dream or a vision; some have classed it a dream. I do not expect to give it in full: for to me it is sacred, beyond expression, especially some things I have no power to describe in words or to express in writing. Me thought I was taken away somewhere to Oh! such a Glorious Realm. I saw He whom at that time we Reverently spoke of as The Great Eternal. I saw the females at his right side. I have no idea of their number. I there saw the Savior; and calling me by name He said, ‘Mosiah, I have brought you here that you may know how it was before you went to yonder earth.’

Thinks I, What earth? for it seemed to me that I had no knowledge of an earth. He said, ‘As it is written in the Beginning, God created man, male and female, created He them. And know you that no man is man without female, and that in the Lord. And no female is female without the male, and that in the Lord.’ I shall not attempt to tell how they were formed…suffice it to say, they were created in pairs, the male and his female. And as they came up to the throne of the Great Eternal the mothers seemed to name the females, and Oh! the respect they seemed to entertain for each other as they marched forth. The right elbow of the female seemed to touch the left elbow of the male. I should judge the males, generally to be about six feet two inches in height, and the females some three or four inches less. Their forms seemed as perfect as a new born infant, with no interference. They marched forth clothed in robes of a light color, tied in front.

“They were instructed in everything that could be imagined, the finest oratory and everything of literary turn, including astronomy, trigonometry, surveying and the use of most delicate machinery. The females were taught to weave, to knit, to sew and to work in everything in their departments. Oh! the music of those spheres; I seem inadequate to touch upon the least of those accomplishments of the Heavenly Characters. Yet they were so orderly and harmonious that it seemed as if one could hear a pin drop. I saw some who became more efficient in science or other knowledge and they were advanced from class to class. It seemed as if the female always kept with her companion for they were always together, for I never saw one fall behind. Even those who had been placed to overlook the classes were always together. The male overlooking the males and his female overlooking females. I even had a companion with me that needed no prompting. It seemed that I had been with the Savior so long, it seemed that I wore the same vesture as his. All at once a Heavenly voice seemed to reverberate, as it were, through the immensity of space and said: ‘Hear all ye, Oh my children! We have a world for you on which you can dwell and you can have the chance on coming up as we have come up.’ We then gathered together in counsel to devise means of redemption, should it be needed. One arose whom I had always looked upon as the Savior and said that he would go down and lay before the Children of men the gospel that they might have the chance of attaining the glory as the Gods had done by the obedience to the Divine Plan of Life. Then I saw another who supposed his plan to be superior to the plan of the first for he said that he would save all; only that he wanted the glory. I saw that he and his plan were not accepted, so there was considerable commotion. At last I saw, as it were, a platform extended where the contest could be decided. I was indignant at the opposition as we fought with our opponents. The one called Levi became my father, and the one called Clarissa was my mother here on earth. My father seemed a savior as he strove to bring me up in the admonition of the Lord; and blessed be the name of my parents. Clarissa became my mother and she certainly did a Christian duty to me. But there are others who have no right with me or mine, that I cheerfully leave in the hands of One that I know doeth all things well. Although I have been weak at times, I trust that I can be worth of Glory hereafter.

Another Account

Here is another version taken from his journal

“When about twenty-one years of age, I was permitted by the power of God, to go into His presence and into my former abode. I saw the Eternal Father on His throne and His wives on His left side, all shining in glory, I saw the Savior and knew Him. It takes the power of the Holy Ghost to tell the difference between the Father and the Son, they look so much alike

Jesus said: ‘Mosiah, I have brought you here to show you how it was before you went to the earth.’ I had been to the earth; everything looked so natural and familiar. I seemed to have been a companion of the Savior and talked with him like a friend. Again, He spoke to me and said: ‘Look and see man as he came forth.’ I looked in the direction indicated and saw an innumerable line of God’s children extending further than I could see. They were arranged in pairs, male and female, and passed in front of the Eternal Father who named them; and they were clad in long white robes with girdles tied around the waists; each pair seemed to have been created mates.

“When thus clothed; they were arranged in classes of about two hundred; the males sitting in front and the females behind them. They were taught in the arts and sciences, and everything necessary to make the heart happy The teachers of the classes received the instruction they imparted from certain notable ones, who in turn got their directions from the Father and the Son- I thought I was one to overlook the classes; I also saw Joseph, Brigham and many others engaged in this work of education. I thought as some became more efficient than others they were advanced from class to class I thought my name was Mosiah, and the names of the other brethren there were the same as upon the earth. All at once there was a gathering of these spirits and the voice of the Great Eternal (for that is what we called God there) spoke: ‘Oh, ye my children,’ and His voice penetrated throughout space, so countless were His offspring ‘We have an earth prepared for you, on which you can dwell and have a chance to come up, thru obeying our Heavenly laws.’

“I there heard the question asked: ‘Who will go down and set an example of humility and faithfulness to these my children, that they may be brought, thru obedience to our laws, back into our presence?’

“I thought I saw one in the express image of the Father say, ‘Father, I will go down and set a pattern of humility and patience that your children, thru my example, may be brought back again.’ How noble, I thought, He looked when He offered Himself to patient before the children of our Father.

I saw another, who seemed to be a very high military officer who arose and said: ‘I will go down to yonder earth and surely I will bring all your children back to you so none of them shall be lost.’

The plan of the first was accepted as being the only sure plan for an exaltation The plan of the second was rejected with great kindness, but the second was not satisfied; and while the first stood in great humility by the side of the Father, the second with many who stood in with him, went about among the Heavenly hosts to advocate the plan, that was put forth as the rights of the second. This one was Lucifer, a son of the morning, for any had been with the Father for countless ages, and learned their lessons well, and he had been no dull scholar.

Finally, Lucifer openly rebelled against the Father and the Son and six other mighty ones who stood faithful with them and declared, ‘I will have it my way.’ I saw the faithful ones gather around the Father and the Son, and Lucifer’s workers gathered around him, when one of the notable ones, who was called Michael, arose and said, ‘We will decide the contest.’ It seemed that a platform was extended into space,. upon which we could operate, by what power I could not tell. We who were faithful to the Father and the Son, had a white star upon us, and the others chose a red star, about one third of the males and females would not accept of either star, but withdrew from the conflict, the females taking the males by the arm, said, ‘Come, let us not take part with either side. Let us retire-’ (When they were cast out after the manner of spiritual warfare,) they had no power to return. When they were all cleared from the platform and Satan and his followers were all cast down, their female companions wept, and we all wept.

“No females took part against the Father and the Son, but all took sides in their favor, except the. neutral ones already mentioned.

After the tears were dried, from our eyes, the voice of the Great Eternal spoke again and said, ‘Hear, O ye my children;’ His voice penetrating the immensity of space so that all could hear it; it is decreed by the Great Eternal that the females shall not follow their males in their banishment, but for every male that has kept his first estate and fought valiantly for the Father and the Son, there are two females. Again it is decreed that those males who have taken no part in this great conflict shall keep their females and a race of servants shall they be.’

I then saw that the notable ones who had taken such an interest in the rights of the Father and the Son were appointed to gather up those lone females whose companions had been cast down They were again placed in classes. each man having two females in the ranks behind him. I there saw that they were again taught in their classes, which now contained about three hundred.

I next saw Michael and his companion proceed a long way off, to people the earth where Lucifer and his FOLLOWERS HAD BEEN CAST. As time passed, other notable ones followed as they were appointed. During all this time the classes met frequently, being taught by instructors appointed. Each member knew his or her own-place, and took it each time, and the best of order prevailed. They were asked, first the males, and then the females behind them, ‘Will you obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ, when you go to that earth?’ Some would answer, yes, but not all. Some could be asked, Will you obey that law which placed the Gods on high? And in very few cases I would hear the females say, ‘I want my own mate’ Sometimes the question would be asked of a male, ‘Will you obey that higher law?’, and he would answer, ‘I wish to enjoy myself with the females.’

Sometimes when the question would be asked of the females she would reply ‘I wish to enjoy myself with the males.’ Again the question would be asked of the males, ‘If you will not join the Church of Christ, what do you wish to be? He would sometimes say, ‘I wish to be a judge, or an officer of high rank among the people.’ Then he would be asked, ‘Will you sustain the laws of God and also the rights of all mankind?’ and the answer in every instance was, ‘yes. ‘

I saw there that those who were proficient in their classes were advanced more rapidly until they became most perfect in those heavenly teachings, but some males, even there in Heaven would neglect their females and their classes and not meet with them. They would go off, arm in arm, as men now go, not having any desire for their duties.

I never saw a female leave her place in the class assigned her by the Heavenly powers. I saw Abraham, when he came back from the earth, and many of the notable ones, when they came back to be crowned I saw them step upon the platform of the Gods and receive their crowns, and enter into their exaltations. At last I saw the time when Joseph was to go forth, and the voice of the Great Eternal said, ‘Oh, my neglected daughters, gather around these my faithful servants who have been faithful in teaching you the principles of righteousness and of our kingdom, that others may come up and have the chance to be glorified-’ I saw many of them gather around Joseph and form a ring with him and the Savior in the center. They made a covenant with him that they would meet him on the earth and help him establish that great work upon the earth.

I saw many of them gather around Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, and many other notable ones, and around many who have not become so notable. They formed rings around each of them with Christ in the center each time, for He rehearsed to them the Covenant. They would take each other by the hand, in the circle and bow their faces down to Him, in the center, and in the most solemn manner agree to meet them here, until every one of those neglected daughters was provided for; and they were filled with such joy that their songs made a paradise of the realm.

“At last The time came for me to go to the earth. The Savior came to me and said, ‘Mosiah, it is time for you to prepare to go. You have been faithful so long here it is time for you to go, that you may return and be as we are.’ As I beheld Him, I thought, ‘How is it that I am not as you are now? For it seemed, that I knew nothing of the earth or the changes a probation there would make in me. However, I said, ‘Who will go down to that earth, and be my father, and help me that I may be brought in the ways of truth and righteousness?’’ A male by the name of Levi stepped forth, in the presence of the Son, and said, ‘I will go down to yonder earth, and by the help of the Great Eternal, I will try to do as well by you as you have done for me, for I am grateful to you for all your kindness to me.’ He returned to his place, being an instructor of a class. I was one among others who was appointed to instruct him and the other teachers of classes.

A female came out of the class and bowing before the Savior and me, said, ‘I will go down and be your mother.’ In a short time the man disappeared and was immediately followed by the woman. I knew my departure was near at hand and I asked, ‘If on my return I could have the same position I then held.’ Then the Savior said, Yes, and greater, but you have to go down to the earth, and take a lowly position and be misunderstood by man, even your brethren and endure many hardships ant set many examples of humility and patience, that you may return and enter the glory, even such as I have.’ He then added, ‘Your time is now come to take your mission to the earth,’ and He laid His hands on my head, as He had done to others, and set me apart for that important mission. He again said to me, ‘I will see you safely thru until you return again.’ I fully believe on that promise. It seemed as though a way was opened before me, and I dived down toward the earth with the speed of lightening and awoke while sailing thru space.
