The Mystery of Time

Time on Our Side

Probably the biggest metaphysical question about time is this.

We are told that there is an “eternal now” where all things happen simultaneously. Is there such a thing, and if it is true how could it be true?

The answer is that there is an “eternal now” of which so many has written, but it does not exist in the three worlds of form. To reach it one must ascend beyond the physical/etheric, beyond the astral, beyond the mental to the formless worlds – where form originates.

It may help to understand what time is. Time is motion. Motion is seen as an advance from one point to another point by a thing which has form. This is the aspect of “distance.” The form and distance cannot exist without space. Thus space, form and distance is the Trinity that gives life to time.

All the aspects of this triangle must exist for time to exist.

If motion ceases then time ceases.

If space were to cease to be then time would cease.

If distance could not be found then time would again cease.

Motion, space and distance progress along the trajectory of a spiral. If it were not so time would collapse upon itself and all the visible universe would cease to be.

In our world only one event happens at a time. The past, present and future is not happening at once. Time is as it seems to be. We cannot go into the future and we cannot alter the past.

To get to the eternal now we must leave the land of distances and arrive at a place where “all souls are one” and there is no distance. There is no distance here between souls, places or things.

Motion, space and distance, of which time is composed, springs from the higher worlds and, as form is created, it is done so simultaneously with the end and the beginning being seen outside the boundaries of time. This “idea” of creation then descends into the three worlds of form and manifests as the beginning of the idea which already has both a beginning and end.

Upon descending to the physical world an idea takes a beginning, but is projected toward an end which must be. That which happens between the beginning and the end is in many cases unpredictable and subject to free will.

As children of God we evolve toward the manifestation of the idea of that which we are already seen to be. Some of us may take detours that may cost us thousands of extra lifetimes, but we all eventually arrive at the end as seen in the eternal now. While we are trapped in time we have free choice to go forwards or backwards, but all of us eventually “see the idea” and move forward of our own free will to manifest it.

What then of prophesy? Can we accurately predict the future?

A prophet is one who sees the cycles which are steps toward manifesting divine ideas. He who sees the next cycle is a prophet, because the next cycle is the next step which must be taken and will be taken. The next step will be, but our own part in assisting with this next step is dependent upon our free will and thus all events in between creative steps is not possible to predict with 100% accuracy.

What is humanity’s next step in the manifestation of the divine idea?

It is to learn tom live together in brotherhood, cooperation and love. Can we delay the manifestation of this coming cycle?

Yes.

Can we delay it indefinitely?

No.

This cycle is coming as a tidal wave building in strength and there is no holding it back. Eventually all must yield to it.

Since some were discussing Islam I might mention that DK tells us that Mohammed was overshadowed by the master Jesus and when this is further realized it will help create greater acceptance and synthesis between the two religions.

Another interesting tidbit which I personally believe is that Mohammed was later reincarnated as George Washington making it interesting that many in the Middle East see the U.S. as the great Satan when we both owe our foundations to the same man.

If you study the lives of the two men and how they fought and triumphed over their enemies you will see many similarities.

Question: “I was just wondering what was meant by the permanent atoms becoming radioactive in due course of evolution?”

The answer is partially revealed through the Law of Correspondences. What happens when a physical atom becomes radioactive?

The first element to become radioactive is radium and as you know this element glows in the dark. The radioactivity in an atoms causes it to break down into simpler elements while giving off a portion of pure energy or Spirit.

DK talks more about this as follows:

“The microcosmic correspondence can be seen in the following process. The physical permanent atom absorbs the entire life force of the physical body, and its inherent heat and light is thereby increased until at the fourth initiation the seven spirillae are fully vitalised, and vibrant. The internal heat of the atom, plus the external heat of the egoic body wherein it has its place, produces then that which destroys the permanent atom. Temporarily, and just prior to destruction, it becomes a tiny sevenfold sun owing to the radiation and activity of the spirillae. So with the physical sun of the system; it will in a similar manner become seven suns, when it has absorbed the life essence of the fully evolved planes, and of the planetary schemes thereon. The ensuing conflagration is the final work of the Destroyer aspect. It marks the moment of the highest development of deva substance in the system, the consummation of the work of Agni and his fire angels, and the initiation of Brahma. Atomic substance will then individualise (which, as we know, is the goal for the atom) and after the great pralaya the next solar system will start with the threefold Spirit manifesting through substance which is essentially distinguished by active intelligent love. This is necessarily incomprehensible to our fourth round minds.” From Treatise on Cosmic Fire Pg 741

He talks of the destruction of the permanent atom. It is destroyed in the fact that it has been changed, but it does not disappear into oblivion any more than a radioactive atom.

Just before the change at the fourth initiation the disciple undergoes the third initiation of transfiguration. Jesus glowed as he experienced this. (See Matt 17)

Question: “Are the planets really Gods?”

It may sound that way when you read some theosophical writings plus DK, but they are not Gods in the way that many see being taught in primitive belief systems.

Just as your body is not the real you and neither is it a God to be worshipped, neither is the planet Jupiter, the Sun or any other orb a God. Instead, all tabernacles are temples of God, housing the life of God.

Just as the life of a nation as a whole is a much greater entity than the life of an individual, even so is the life of a planet is greater than a nation or an individual.

Just has we have a higher and lower self so has the earth from its beginning. The lower planetary spirit is a baby in evolution and has not yet reached self consciousness. Because of this, the higher self of the Planet, The Most High Planetary Spirit, does not generally have direct contact (that I know of) with the self conscious human kingdom, but when contact is made it is through a lower order of spirit than itself.

The Ancient of Days, sometimes called our Planetary Logos, is in deep communion with the higher and lower selves of the planet and is a mediator between them and the lower kingdoms as the Christ is a mediator between Shamballa and mankind.

The Ancient of Days is one with the Planetary Spirits and is aware of all life on the earth making him the representative of the Planetary Logos, but the Planetary logos is more than he. It is a synthesis of all intelligence of the earth.

These great lives are so above us that we may justly call them gods, but from a higher angle they are servants of God just as human disciples are.

Thus the seven planetary Spirits are high entities who are one with God and called Gods by some, yet are servants of the One Great Life, just as you and I are supposed to be.

“Lead us from darkness to light… from untruth to truth…” Words from background chorus at the end of Matrix Revolutions

The Law of Adaptation

The Law of Adaptation

I asked the group to explain the Law of Adaption. Here was a great answer:

“The Law of Adaptation is that as we adapt to changes in our path, our rotary movement is directed/focussed more efficiently towards gaining our next step or `turn of the spiral’. Thus, the circle becomes a spiral via the adjustments that we make in our motion, seeking and attracting ever-higher vibrations. These in turn affect us to adapt yet again in an efficient repetition (Law of Economy) which takes us further up the spiral. Adaptation enables us to move more efficiently along the path, which is to follow the Law of Economy. Perhaps `to adapt’ under this Law is to respond to the changes by making those decisions which will move us ahead in our spiritual progression in the quickest and most efficient manner i.e. to cast off what is no longer required and take up what is required to proceed.

“When we refuse to respond/adapt to changes and resist our evolution (or make `wrong’ decisions) we are working against the force of the Law of Economy (line of least resistance) ˆ our motion is slowed as we struggle to shift against the `tide’. As the Law of Economy is closely tied with time, then our motion detours off the path, which could mean serious delays in our spiritual progression. Therefore, I believe that Steve is right in suggesting that this Law increases the speed of our evolution if we work with it and not against.”

JJ: The more I contemplate this law the more importance I see to it. It is interesting that DK only mentions this law several times, as if it is a minor law. On the other hand, sometimes I think he purposefully says the least about some of the deepest of subjects. Sometimes I will find something he mentions on maybe one or two lines in all his books that seems very profound to me.

A reader asked how the two paths relate to this law.

Let me put it this way. If you are polarized in matter then the line of least resistance is to follow the pull of the material world. But if you are polarized in the Spirit the path of least resistance is to follow Spirit.

So what is this path of most resistance that we talk about?

This is the path that one must take who is polarized in matter but wishes to rise up in consciousness to spirit.

Let us give an example that many can relate to.

Suppose you have been a big meat eater all your life. Now suppose someone places a juicy t-bone steak in front of you on one hand and a great looking all vegetarian salad on the other and told you that you must pick one to eat. If you are very hungry which do you pick?

By far the line of least resistance is to pick the steak as it is much more satisfying.

Now let us say that you come to the conclusion that a vegetarian diet would improve your health and you decide to go on it. Shortly thereafter you are faced with the same choice again. The choice to go with the line of least resistance last time was a no brainer, but this time you have made a choice to move up to a more refined diet. Even so the pull of the smell of the great steak is strong and to choose the salad you must travel the path of most resistance.

If you are a determined soul and continue on your new diet for several years what happens? You lose your attraction to meat and you arrive at the time that a good salad seems to be better than a steak. Now it is the line of least resistance to choose the salad rather than the steak.

On the other hand, you could backslide and start eating meat again. If you do this it will not be long before your line of least resistance will be back where it was before and you will again have a strong pull toward the meat-eating diet.

Now compare the two diets to spirit and matter. Matter indeed has a strong pull on us but eventually each of us learns all we can from this lower world and we desire to move in consciousness toward Spirit. When we first decide to take a stab at it we find that staying centered there is indeed the path of most resistance. But if we stay focused the time will eventually come that spirit will be more attractive to us than is matter. But if we lose our focus we can always backslide and again be captured by the pull of matter.

We thus see that the line of least resistance sets in when the course we are on has more energies moving in the desired direction than against it. But the spiral always moves upward and it takes more effort to take the step upward than downward. To move on the upward way takes more will than to relax and fall backward. But when the will of God is joined to our wills the force of downward gravity is negated and nothing can stop the pilgrim from progressing along the upwards path, which is for him now the line of least resistance in his inner world, even though it may be the line of most resistance to the outer.

To convert the line of most resistance to the line of least resistance we must adapt. If we do not adapt to the new circumstances that face us at each turn of the spiral we become crystallized and sluggish and upward movement becomes exceedingly difficult until the Law of Adaptation is followed.

Now consider this. We progress by the Law of Adaptation as though moving along the line of an upward spiral with no end in sight. Each time we have moved within the eternal round of an apparent circle we find that it was not a perfect circle but that the end is slightly different than the beginning.

Now visualize that a certain number of souls progress through several turns of the spiral, but wind up stopping the spiral motion and get caught in a circular motion that does not spiral upward. Instead, the entity goes round and round with no end in sight with each of his ends in the same location as the last beginning.

This symbolism is worthy of contemplation. Who are those among us who resist the spiral and get caught in the circle?

From The Future

Reader Question: Are Jesus and other visionaries able to predict the future because they came from there?

It is interesting you should ask this.

This is what I was told by a being that claimed to be from the future. It may be true or false.

There are certain individuals on the earth such as Christ, prophets, visionaries etc who are actually from the future. Their essence incarnates from the future to assist those in the past. As they work they are usually unaware of their true origin.

HPB indicates that some teach that certain people from a future round (millions of years in the hence) are here now. She says:

“Those who knew that a Round was preceded and followed by a long Pralaya, a pause of rest which created an impassable gulf between two Rounds until the time came for a renewed cycle of life, could not understand the ‘fallacy’ of talking about ‘fifth and sixth Rounders’ in our Fourth Round. Gautama Buddha, it was held, was a Sixth-Rounder, Plato and some other great philosophers and minds, ‘Fifth-Rounders.’ How could it be? One Master taught and affirmed that there were such ‘Fifth-Rounders’ even now on Earth; and though understood to say that mankind was yet ‘in the Fourth Round,’ in another place he seemed to say that we were in the Fifth. To this an ‘apocalyptic answer’ was returned by another Teacher: — ‘A few drops of rain do not make a Monsoon, though they presage it.’ . . . ‘No, we are not in the Fifth Round, but Fifth Round men have been coming in for the last few thousand years.’” Secret Doctrine, Vol 1, Page 161

I believe we are linked to our future selves when we are raised up in consciousness and when this occurs we sense certain things that are set to manifest in the future. I do not think visionaries are literally from the future, but have a consciousness that belongs there and interplays between the past, present and future.

I put contact lenses in my dog’s eyes. They had little pictures of cats on them. Then I took one out and he ran around in circles. Steven Wright

The Abomination of Desolation Part 2

The Abomination of Desolation Part 2

Question: In our modern age there has been another abomination that has brought desolation. Who was this man and how does this event in history correspond to the prophecy?

Remember that in different cycles various words of the scriptures may have differing symbolic meanings.

Many are looking to the future for a fulfillment of the Abomination of Desolation as well as most or the rest of Matthew 24. They think the abomination will be a great antichrist that will make Hitler look like Snow White.

While anything is possible and a future cycle of fulfillment will come, the main cycle of fulfillment for this period of time was completed through Hitler, just as many of you suspected.

Someone asked why Stalin or other dictators would not be equally good candidates.

There are several reasons for this – the first being that none others fulfilled the Law of Correspondences and filled in the points of the prophecies.

The second is that Hitler was the greatest abomination of our time period because he posed the greatest danger on the planet.

Stalin, Hussein and other tyrants were just low level thugs, but Hitler had great intelligence and was an initiate of the dark side. As such, he posed a greater danger than merely mindless destruction and domination. He was supportive of a plan that would have set up a system that would have controlled the minds of humanity throughout the planet and destroyed all those who posed a threat to it.

Among the signs preceding the Abomination of Desolation were:

(1) “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matt 24:13

This was fulfilled on a small scale by 70 AD in that Christian missionaries went to the world as it was known then. But it was fulfilled on a larger scale in our age.

Remember the disciples asked of the signs of the end of the “age” (translated from the Greek) not the world. The midway point between the two ages of Pisces and Aquarius was the end of world war in 1945 so the rise of Hitler was indeed during the end times, or “consummation” as it is literally translated.

At the time of World War II the name of Christ and his gospel were indeed known among all nations and the end of the Age of Pisces did arrive.

(2) “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.” Luke 21:21

So when did Hitler surround Jerusalem with armies? This literally happened in 70 AD, but in this cycle the prophesy was fulfilled in other ways.

Jerusalem is a symbol of a place where the Jews can dwell securely in their homes and when Hitler came to power he began to build armies of SS troops who “compassed” the Jews and took away their security. Jesus told them that when they saw this happen they were to immediately “flee” and “depart out.”

In fact it is true that many Jews did smell the coffee and get out. Einstein was one of the more famous who saw the signs and left. Others who stayed were not so lucky.

Jerusalem comes from the Hebrew YeRUWSHALAYIM which means “to instruct or show the way to peace.”

This meaning is also in harmony with the prophecy for Hitler did not encompass the way of peace and paved the path to war.

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)” Matt 24:15

This is really an alternative wording of Luke 21:21 which we just quoted and it gives us another aspect of the prophecy.

Hitler and his armies which enforced tyranny were an abomination. Why? Because the temple of worship (the holy place) for the Jews was replaced with one who takes the place of the true God. In other words, Hitler stood “in the holy place.” They had to obey Hitler and his system above the voice of God. This abomination not only brought physical desolation to many, but also spiritual desolation. As soon as the Jews saw that this process was happening they should have fled the country, according to the prophecy.

What should the Jews do if modern Israel is surrounded again by the armies of the world and it looks like another cycle of the prophesy will be fulfilled? Should they flee or stand their ground and fight as they did in 70 AD against Titus?

Many think they should stand and fight and that at a desperate moment the Messiah will appear and save them.

It is hard to say. But we do know that when this situation has occurred two other times in history that they suffered great tribulation and no messiah appeared.

A messiah will definitely come to them, but how he comes may be quite a bit different than expected, just as it was last time.

I bought a dog the other day…I named him Stay. It’s fun to call him… “Come here, Stay! Come here, Stay!” He went insane. Now he just ignores me. Steven Wright

BE-CAUSE

BE-CAUSE

I see the group has been tossing around the question as to “where did God come from?”

Actually the answer has been in the Bible for thousands of years. It says in Habakkuk 3:3 that:

“God came from Teman.”

Now that the great mystery is solved let us go to the next question…

That doesn’t quite satisfy you say. You want more? All right. I just thought I’d try something easy first.

As many of you know I wrote a treatise about creation in the beginning of the Molecular Relationship. In this I took us back to a point which I called Purpose which lies beyond time and space, but which vibrates and creates the wavelength (“strings” as they are currently called) which is the building block of all form.

But now you want to know even more than this. You want to know where the first cause came from? What caused Purpose to vibrate in the first place?

This is an interesting question that has been on the minds of humanity since they have learned to think. In fact if ones goes outside and looks up at the stars and then at the earth he cannot help but realize that the greatest miracle of all is that anything exists at all. The fact that something is here to be observed and there are observers to take it all in is just as marvelous as is the obvious fact that there is some intelligence behind manifestation.

After contemplating the great mystery many philosophers just throw up their hands and say: “The mystery of Godliness, how great it is!”

That said, let us examine the First Cause.

First Cause… This is a term often used as a description (or name) of God.

But has anyone ever stopped to ask if this is an appropriate title to apply to the One Great Life?

Let us use some reason here.

If there truly is a First Cause then there was a beginning to Cause. Whatever has a beginning will have an end. Therefore, if there is a First Cause then there will be a last cause, and afterwards there will be no more cause in existence.

If God is eternal then He could not be First Cause for First Cause can only be if there was a beginning to all existence.

There is a beginning to cycles of time and creation, but not to time and creation itself.

Understanding that there is no such thing as First Cause is a Key to understanding where God came from.

If there is no First Cause then where did Cause come from?

The answer is: Cause is here BE-CAUSE.

Ponder on this word, “because.” When you are asked a question as to why a thing is and you know it is but not sure why – what do you say?

You say “Because.”

Cause and effect exist BECAUSE.

Cause and effect never had a beginning and will never have an end. It is the one principle which just is and this principle evolves all intelligence in the universe, even those who are called the Gods. In fact, if we want to find the one God that moves the universe we must look to cause and effect. When cause and effect ceased being random and organization took place in any cycle of creation then the Mind of God came into manifestation.

Think of what would be if there were no cause and effect, even for an instant.

There would be nothing. Nothing at all.

The fact that there is something in existence testifies to the fact that Cause and Effect is eternal, without beginning or end.

When the universe folds up and goes into the great pralaya, cause and effect does not disappear. The great rest is merely an effect of previous causes which lays the groundwork for a new cause.

The life of God and our lives (which are in the image of God) live and evolve in the universe of cause and effect.

Don’t ask me why cause and effect is something that just is. Just be thankful that it is.

Just take advantage of the principle, make true decisions and BE a CAUSE.

I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering. Steven Wright

The Abomination of Desolation

The Abomination of Desolation

A reader commented that she was attending a Bible study class composed of orthodox Christians. The subject of the Abomination of Desolation came up and the standard interpretation of a future antichrist showing up in the future temple in Jerusalem was presented. She offered another view which caused a major upset in the group. She was curious about my thinking on the matter.

This is a subject on which we could spend considerable time so I will have to give you the short answer.

As I explained earlier the ancient Jews believed that the scriptures had what was believed to be the “body, soul and spirit” to them, meaning that there were at least three levels to interpreting them. Others wet so far as to say there were seven levels of interpretation.

Actually the number of levels depend of the depth of the thought behind the words of the initiator. The words of Christ are the closest in the scripture to Spirit and would have the highest number of levels whereas the more mundane historical account of Numbers would not have so many.

One of the big questions Bible scholars have about Chapter 24 of Matthew is whether it applied to the first century of the early church or to our time at the end of the age.

The answer is that both are correct.

Why is this?

Because when words of Spirit are spoken they “shall not pass away” as Jesus said.

Now how can it be that a prophecy cannot pass away? Once it is fulfilled have not the words fulfilled their purpose and no longer applicable?

Not quite.

Words of Spirit do not pass away and cyclically return and become applicable again.

In the past I have commented on quite as few verses of Matthew 24. When I did I wrote about the interpretation as it applies to our present and future, but the chapter applies to both the ending of the age of Aries influence (as was occurring in the time of Jesus) and then again it refers to the present end of the age of Pisces and the beginning of Aquarius as is now transpiring.

When Jesus related the predictions to the Apostles they saw it as applying to their own day, not the far future.

Imagine a teacher speaking to students today and saying: “you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars.” Do you think they would think the teacher is peaking of a period of around 4,000 AD? No. The students would assume he was speaking of no more than 100 years in the future. Few realize that many of the apostles thought the end of the world was near as evidenced from these scriptures:

“For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the END OF THE WORLD hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Heb 9:26

“But THE END OF ALL THINGS IS AT HAND: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” I Peter 4:7

Then, even Jesus is quoted as saying:

“I come quickly.” Rev 22:7 (2000 years is not very quick by any standard.”

That said let us first look at the scripture through the eyes of the early church as it applied to their day. It reads:

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

“Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matt 24:14-21

Here Jesus warned the disciples the an abomination which brings desolation would be the beginning of great tribulation.

To understand what this is we must ask, what is considered most abominable in the scriptures?

The answer is quite simple. It is any person, place or thing that is substituted for and takes the place of the true God. In other words, it is disobedience to the commandment that “thou shalt not have any Gods before me.”

This abomination existed in the days of the early Christians in the reign of the Caesars.

Rome did not only conquer the bodies of men, but captured their minds as well and for the first time men began to worship the State almost as if it were a god. Because the state of Rome was to be revered many of its conquests were bloodless and the once great kingdom of Greece joined in with Rome through their own freewill. All life, liberty, and freedom were eventually dedicated to the State, the great protector. All who failed to do this were traitors. Eventually, the emperor became identified as a symbol of the State and was to be worshipped, for worshipping him was to worship the State. The emperor was eventually called Caesar Agustus. Agustus is equivalent to the Greek which we translate as Lord when Christians say “Jesus is Lord”, or “Lord God.”

There came a time that if a Christian refused to acknowledge that Caesar was Lord (Agustus), but that Jesus was Lord instead that he was killed. This was indeed an abomination.

So, what was the desolation?

Just a few verses earlier Jesus gave a hint. Matt “Behold, your (the temple) house is left unto you desolate. And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Matt 23:38 & Matt 24:1-2

Here he tells the disciples that the coming desolation will be the destruction of the holy temple.

What will cause the desolation is clarified by Luke: “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.” Luke 21:20-21

That which will then bring the desolation will be “armies” surround Jerusalem. This is the sign that the Christians were to flee.

So what do we have so far?

Jesus is predicting a time in which one who will represent a false God (the abomination) will invade Jerusalem and bring desolation to the temple.

Was the prophecy fulfilled?

Indeed it was.

Titus encompassed Jerusalem in 70 AD, then invaded and destroyed the temple. In doing so he killed around a million Jews – a horrific number for that age. The Christians were not so effected. Christian historians tell us that when Titus encompassed Jerusalem they considered it a sign of the fulfillment of the prophesy of Jesus and fled, just as they were commanded. Hence there is not a record of even one Christian being killed in the siege.

The Jews were not so lucky for they ignored the warning of Jesus and stayed to defend their temple and city.

After a great struggle Titus took the temple and (according to Josephus) was proclaimed a God by the Romans. Not only did this abomination occur but Roman idols were placed in the temple. This great edifice was then looted and destroyed, or made into a desolation and has not been rebuilt since.

Question: In our modern age there has been another abomination that has brought desolation. Who was this man and how does this event in history correspond to the prophecy?

Hint: Remember that in different cycles various words of the scriptures may have differing symbolic meanings.

Using Personality

Using Personality

A reader quotes a teacher he respects as giving advice on recognizing one who is in the dark. He says:

“They won’t listen to you, or see your point of view. They don’t care what your point of view is. They are not interested in getting inside your shoes, or understanding what makes you tick.”

Question: Does this mean that if a teacher shows interest in your point of view and seems to have empathy for you that he is in the light? Explain.

If he does not seem to see your point of view does it mean he is in the dark?

JJ: While it is true that a true teacher will feel empathy for another point of view as well as tune into the emotions of another, it is also true that a worker of darkness attempts to feign that which is good.

Not only that but he will use exuberance from his emotional body to make his point with more energy than the worker of light in an attempt to deceive.

A worker of light may merely grab or shake another’s hand and state frankly that he feels for his brother in a certain situation.

The worker of darkness tends to be a showman and will give a big hug, share an emotional story and maybe cry a few tears.

Keep in mind that there is no black and white rule here as both brothers are attempting to reach their desired ends and may use various overlapping methods. For instance, enlightened people may hug a lot, but there is one difference between the two approaches which is black and white.

The Brother of Light is sincere. If he shares empathy, he means it. If he hugs he means that. If he sheds tears, they are real tears.

The Dark Brother, or a pawn, is an actor who uses his personality to further his own ends. He can bring the tears on demand to create the desired effect.

The dark disciple may therefore listen intently to your side, look you intently in the eye and hang on your every word if it suits his purpose.

The Brother of light is generally easy going, but if he doesn’t agree with you he will be honest about it and often when one disagrees he is looked upon as not seeing your point of view. Sometimes the point of view does not seem to be seen because the one giving it does not make sense and other times the one hearing it has a fixation on his own dogma.

The real test is not that one will see your point of view, but to pick a principle or teaching that you have received from your soul and seek to discus it with another. If he is in the soul he will generally sense through the soul where you are coming from and understand what you are saying.

Question: This gives us an idea of a tactic that an earthly teacher can use to deceive, but how does an other-worldly entity deceive through the personality?

My favorite comic, Steven Wright, uses very little personality in his delivery because his words can stand by themselves. But name three comics who use a powerful personality to make people laugh.

JJ: The reason I asked you to name your favorite comic is that a comic with a strong personality can illustrate to us the power of personality to convey as meaning much beyond the actual words spoken.

Does this mean that comics with an exuberant personality are headed toward the dark side? Far from it. In fact one of the characteristics of a Dark Brother is a lack of sense of humor.

Even so, the comic with lots of personality does illustrate the power of the astral to draw attention to himself and win the audience over.

You have given an interesting selection of comics. Sounds like some of you are older than me.

Among the older comics those who did not rely heavily on personality were Will Rogers, Jack Benny and Bob Hope. Examples of those who did rely on it were Jerry Lewis, Amos and Andy and the Three Stooges.

Among today’s comics Steven Wright may be the lowest personality comic in history. Dennis Miller also relies on his words more than his personality. High personality comics are Chris Rock, Robin Williams, Bean, and perhaps the most exaggerated personality of them all – Roberto Benigni.

Any of these guys could take a statement that seems dry by itself and then by the power of their personality they could leave the audience in stitches by stating it while doing certain physical and emotional maneuvers.. They indeed illustrate the power of the personality to transform the mundane into a topic of extreme interest.

The question now is what in the world do the tactics of personality strong comics have to do with the tactics of a Dark Brother?

Here is an interesting comment received on this:

“A non-personality-driven comic points to something outside himself, something we all experience, and gets us to see it in a different way. He draws attention AWAY from himself. A personality-driven comic will draw attention TO himself and get us to laugh at him. Same with teachers. A true teacher will draw attention to a principle, but a false teacher will draw attention to himself.”

Now let me stress again that because a comic has lots of personality does not mean he is on the dark side. But the reason we are talking about personality here is that this is the vehicle that the Dark Brother, or his disciple, must use to influence others. He is unable to rise to the level of the higher mind or soul so this must be his tool.

Personality is like money. It is neither good or evil by itself. It can be used as a tool for service and love or it can destroy. It all depends on the intent of the user.

Speaking of personality I am reminded of a time years ago that we had several friends showing great interest in a lady guru who was visiting our fair city. She was charging around $300 (in 1990 dollars) for her intimate session where she was going to take participants on some spiritual journey. She was giving a free introductory session so my wife and I attended to check her out.

She was a beautiful sensuous lady which explained some of her charisma right there, but in addition, when she spoke and guided us through a meditation, she spoke in very hypnotic tones and seemed to garner around herself a mystic aura in the minds of many who attended.

The guy next to me in the circle was the husband of a friend of my wife and before the meeting started I asked him if he was going to spend $300 to attend her class. He said definitely that he would not – that his wife dragged him along and he thought she was a phony. That pretty much echoed my sentiments as I also perceived her to be operating from high glamour in the astral zone.

But then something interesting occurred. After the guided meditation when everyone was silently thinking she went around in the circle grabbed each member by his two hands, looked in their eyes and whispered something. I couldn’t hear for sure what she was saying except I did notice that each person seemed impressed with what she said to them.

Then she grabbed the hands of the skeptic that was next to me and this time I did hear what she said.

First she stared intently into his eyes for about a minute and then approached very closely to the guy and whispered, “Do you remember?”

Then she drew back, not taking her gaze away from his and after about 30 seconds he bursts out like a woman having a climax: “Yes.”

Interestingly, this skeptic eagerly signed up (later that night) and gave her the $300.

After she worked her magic on him she then approached me. She looked me in the eyes for about 15 seconds, smiled and moved on. I almost felt cheated, but I felt at the time that she knew how to recognize those she could manipulate and those she could not.

This was indeed a teacher who gathered attention to herself more than the teaching did and was charging big bucks for the privilege of being in her presence.

It is interesting to watch Robin Williams on the Jay Leno show. Half the time he seems to be squirming in his chair and then he’ll get up prance back and forth, imitate a few people who are in the news, crack some jokes while making obsessive hand motions and then sit back down. His witty dialog with his effervescent personality keeps the audience laughing.

Those who manipulate from the unseen world also use personality influence, but it is no laughing matter. But instead of putting attention of their own personality they will look for weakness in that of the seeker and use it as leverage to control him.

It doesn’t matter if they contact by vision, some appearance, a presence or through a disciple they will generally exploit the seeker through the following personality weaknesses.

(1) “You are special.” The seeker will be told that he has been specially chosen in a way that appeals to his ego. He will then be tempted to see himself as “better” than his fellow seekers and should be followed because of who he is rather than that which he teaches.

(2) “Follow your heart,” or “go with the flow.” This is spoken to the seeker who lacks the discipline to follow the path of the Master and has the desire to fulfill his personality desires more than to find the doorway of the soul.

(3) In a past life you were some great being and have a divine right to be followed in this one. This, of course, strongly appeals to an ego out of control.

(4) “You are nothing but with me you’ll be somebody.” This works on those with lack of confidence, but also appeals to his ego. By leaning on the dark brother he will now find praise from his fellows.

(5) “Your thoughts are the thoughts of Gods therefore you are always right.” Every decision you make is correct. This logic leads the beginning seeker into many detours that can sometime cost him lifetimes of progression.

Assignment: There are other items that could be added to the list. Can you think of any?

A reader mentioned that putting too much attention on the Dark Brothers bothered him.

It is true that energy follows thought and one must be careful as to how one directs his thought as he is discussing anything negative.

Remember the Principle of Attrition from Book III? This is an important principle to apply to neutralize the negative, even as one is discussing it.

And how do we do this?

The answer is that one must discuss negative energies as if we are viewing them on a movie screen. Watching a scary movie can actually be an enjoyable experience if one realizes that it is only a movie and only gets involved enough to enjoy the story. But if one forgets it is “only a movie” and gets emotionally involved he may experience real fear that may stay with him for some time. The movie will thus not be a positive or fun experience.

It is essential for the disciple to have a working knowledge of the dark as well as the light if he is to overcome all things, but in gaining this knowledge he must follow several principles.

(1) As we said he must detach himself from emotional involvement with the dark forces. Take the viewpoint of the observer as if watching a harmless movie.

(2) He must not get involved enough to feel fear when discussing the subject. If he feels fear, and cannot neutralize it, then it is best to not even talk about the subject until the fear is gone or at a safe level. He must face this fear eventually and should examine the subject in bites he can handle until he can detach himself and learn without fear.

(3) He must only spend the time and thought needed to learn that which is necessary to deal with the dark forces. Excessive attention to any subject will make it difficult to maintain the vantage point of the observer and tempt him to get emotionally involved.

(4) Knowledge dispels fear. Therefore, never shy away from learning about the principles that govern all things.

I saw a sign: “Rest Area 25 Miles”. That’s pretty big. Some people must be really tired. Steven Wright

Power of the Personality

Power of the Personality

I was asked why I brought up the subject of the discerning of the beings of light and dark.

There are several reasons for this, the first being that it falls along the current subject line of the Law of Vibration. There is a difference of vibration between the light and the dark entities and the understanding of the law can aid in the discernment between the two.

But an even more important reason is that the uninterrupted progression of the seeker depends on him or her coming to an understanding of the process of discernment, otherwise he is likely to be deceived into switching his attention from spirit to form and waste numerous lives in retrogression and pain before he comes back to the beginning of soul contact.

Question: If a Dark Brother cannot duplicate the Holy Spirit then how could he trick one (who has felt the Holy Spirit) into thinking he is in the light? Give us some thoughts on this we have not covered yet.

In my last post I talked about the power of the deceptive dimmer switch and the importance of keeping our minds “steady in the light.”

But the fact to keep in mind is this. Even those who are steady in the light and close to achieving this have many distractions pulling at them through every day living.

He who is steady in the light has distractions just like everyone else. The difference with this person is that he has made it a habit to reflect and focus on the light before the distraction can take him very far away from it. Often he will force himself to return in consciousness to the light even in the midst of a distraction.

Because the habit of focusing on the light is so ingrained upon him he can be trusted by the Teachers to never let that dimmer switch turn to the extent that the full light will be able to startle him of that the shadows will seem real.

Few, however, have achieved this and instead of having a habit of turning to the light the natural instinct of most is to have a habit of following the line of least resistance and just take in the atmosphere of the situation as the light dims without concerning themselves with subtle influences.

Because of a constant source of distractions and a lack of forcing themselves to turn back to the light the average seeker generally operates as if the dimmer switch has made the light shine at 50% strength. Sure he has had several experiences where he has seen the light at 100 percent and had soul contact on a number of occasions, but perhaps it has been a while since he has felt the contact and has not noticed the difference between then and now.

This is the situation of many who have moved some distance upon the path when they receive temptation.

And most yield to the temptation several times and follow a number of strange paths before they return and again to center themselves in the light. But, after one has spent several lifetimes suffering the pain that comes from leaving the path, the seeker will then proceed with greater firmness than before and eventually arrive at the true process of holding steady in the light.

Many that will read these teachings have in past lives wandered off the path several times and are in danger of doing it yet another time or two before the journey is solidified. The benefit, therefore of understanding the Law of Vibration and the advice given here is that it can save such a person from wandering off one more time and taking one more risk of merging with the dark path.

DK tells us that fortunately those who wander off the path are given painful reminders from their souls that will bring most of them back and only a few ignore all the signs until they become completely lost in the dark.

Since there is always a slim chance that the dark path can be taken by he who wanders from the light the seeker must maintain an eternal vigilance for staying in the light.

Secondly, even if the dark path is not taken who wants to spend several wasted lifetimes that end in pain and despair?

Thirdly, who wants to fall behind in the progress of his friends and group to which he esoterically belongs?

When we talk about those who may deceive us are we talking about mortal or other worldly entities?

The answer is both. The principles of avoiding deception with both is basically the same.

One of the main reasons the dark teachers have power to deceive seekers is because of the difference in the presentation of the soul and the personality.

Visualize two teachers teaching two separate groups of 100 people. The first is giving out some very profound truths of quantum physics, but speaking in a very low monotone voice using very few hand gestures. To understand what he is saying you have to pay strict attention. If you look over the audience of mostly average people you will see that about 98 of the hundred are nodding off, not learning anything and completely unimpressed. But, there are two souls who are listening intently and if you look at them you will see that their faces are full of interest and awe, as if they are hearing the most wonderful words ever spoken. The alert two look at the 98 bored ones and sigh as they realize what they are missing because they refuse to pay attention.

Now we move over to the other group and see an entirely different situation. Here is a speaker as well as a performer that would put Tony Robbins to shame. He is explaining to the group how they can achieve anything their hearts desire whether it be wealth, love, fame or whatever. This guy, however, does not speak softly and does not put his audience to sleep. His voice variety goes up and down – he almost shouts at times to make a point and moves with such forceful gestures that at one time he knocks he podium off the platform.

In addition he struts among the audience and pulls several out of their seats and contrasts their failed past with their bright future with such fervor that they almost feel they have had a born again experience.

Many in the audience think there’s something different about this guy as they seem to feel the energy of his presence as he merely walks by them and the fire in his eyes as they look in his direction.

Now the interesting thing is that the opposite is occurring in audience reaction. Here we have no one nodding off and 98 of the hundred and extremely impressed and want to hear more from this guy.

But there are two who are not impressed. These two are not paying attention to his loud emotional voice, nor to his strong gestures nor to his sway over the audience.

What are they then paying attention to? These are the only two who are analyzing the speaker’s actual words to see if they have substance – and after analyzing them they are not impressed. The speaker did keep them awake but did not convince them he had something of value.

The soul is like the first speaker. It has something of great value, but speaks softly without appealing to the personality. When the seeker learns to discern between fluff and substance then he is ready for the path wherein the soul lies.

The second speaker is a the voice of the ego. It is interesting and appealing to all who exist on the personality level. It seems to the natural man that the soul will only bore us to death but the ego has life, vitality and the promise of all the joys of the world.

Now we must keep in mind that this comparison only gives us a hint as to the subtleties of discernment for many soft spoken teachers bore us because they have nothing to say and some speakers who do use the assets of the personality can touch the soul.

The point is that the teachers of light may use the personality to direct the students to the soul but the dark teachers will use the personality to captivate and direct attention away from the soul. In the end the soul teachings are only recognized when supreme attention is paid to the actual words of the teacher as well as the actions which follow the words.

The power and energy of the personality is much more overwhelming to the personality (body-emotions-lower mind) than is the energy of the soul as it effects the personality.

Therefore, if the seeker allows the dimmer switch to turn down the light of the soul the energy of a strong personality may seem much more powerful and good than anything he has felt from the soul. And do not be deceived into thinking that you will always feel a negative energy when personality energy is exuded by a pawn of the Dark Brothers. To many beginning seekers, it seems very good, positive and beneficial.

Thus the great deception begins in so many who have their Sun eclipsed in the dark by the reflective light of the moon. When the sun then does not rise in the morning it seems that the moon is now the brightest object in the celestial sky.

But the sun is still there as always. He who wanders off the path merely sleeps during the day and needs to be awakened again. Then he will see the light which never faileth.

Question: This gives us an idea of a tactic that an earthly teacher can use to deceive, but how does an other-worldly entity deceive through the personality?

My favorite comic, Steven Wright, uses very little personality in his delivery because his words can stand by themselves unlike many who use emotional antics to get a laugh.

Staying in the Light

Staying in the Light

Question: Can a worker of darkness duplicate the vibration of that which the disciple receives through the soul? Can he fool people to think his vibration is of God? How?

How can the seeker discern the difference in vibration between a worker of light and dark?

A reader gives this comment: “One safe way to identify true teachers is if they bring new teachings (not quoting other sources), AND you feel the inner confirmation of your soul. Then you know they are not copycat imitators.”

This is a good point. The question is why is it that teachers from the dark side cannot bring forth that which is truly new? The reason is simple. To bring down a new principle or a greater understanding of an old one requires soul contact. The worker of darkness has little or no soul contact and thus has to rely completely on what he has been taught or read. Such a one often claims he is teaching something new, but a closer look will discover that he is teaching recycled material. What he will often do in order to sound like he has new material is to create a new vocabulary for already established concepts.

For instance, he could take DK’s teachings on the Law of Economy and teach it as something new which he calls “The Law of Evolution.” Then he may claim that God, an angel or some Master taught him this and other recycled teachings. The sad thing is that the beginning seeker will be easily fooled by such claims.

Of course, for one who has soul contact there is a big difference in the internal registration when one listens to a teacher of light and one of darkness. The main method used to deceive those who sense some soul vibration is they: “repeat the words or teachings of someone who was a true worker of light. (No wonder the “born-again” folks quote so much scripture…)”

Yes, it is interesting that the scriptures tell us that Satan tempted Jesus by quoting scripture to him. In other words, he used established words of light to cloud the light.

Therefore, it is no sign that one is in the light if he quotes scripture, DK, ancient sages or a living prophet, guru or pope.

It is a sign that one is a teacher of light if he presents something that is indeed new and different in a way that registers with your soul.

But can a dark teacher or messenger imitate the vibrations of the Holy Spirit which comes through the soul?

Members correctly related that the answer is no.

Then why is it that we hear so many warnings from religious zealots that the devil can appear as an angel of light and can fool us in every way? The only way to escape the devil is to listen to them.

The truth is that the Dark Brother can never imitate the vibration of the Holy Spirit, but the problem is that many of the religious ones have never felt the Holy Spirit. What many have felt instead is higher astral energy at their best moments.

One who has felt the Holy Spirit knows that the vibration cannot be duplicated by those in darkness.

Does this mean that one who has had true soul contact and felt the Holy Spirit can never be deceived?

No.

How could he be deceived then if the Dark Brothers cannot imitate the high spiritual vibration?

The answer is that the seeker is subject to deception until he has mastered holding his mind “steady in the light.” This is not fully completed until the third initiation, but if one is wise and has understanding he can continually stay on the path before this occurrence.

To understand how to stay on the path he must first understand what can take him off.

(1) Glamour. An inflated ego produces a feeling of self importance that causes him to switch attention from the soul to the lower nature. This causes the second problem which is…

(2) Spiritual amnesia. Higher spiritual experiences are not fully registered in the physical brain. Therefore, after some time has passed, the memory starts to grow dim and if he does not stay centered in the soul he will often doubt his experiences and just chalk them up to an overactive imagination.

(3) Illusion. This is basically a trick played on the mind by using false reasoning to convince the seeker that the soul direction was wrong. Illusion is also planted in us through wrong foundation beliefs of which I have previously written. Satan tried to use illusion on Jesus by quoting him scripture and may have succeeded if the Master had any incorrect foundational beliefs.

(4) Allowing oneself to be more attracted to teachings that the self desires rather than seeking for truth no matter where it leads you. Putting self above truth dims the memory of the Holy Spirit.

The basic problem created by moving off the path is this. Imagine yourself in a room with a bright light and on the wall is a dial that can slowly dim that light. If another person dims the light very slowly – say over a two hour period, the light may get down to 40% power and it is quite possible, if you are preoccupied, that you would not even notice.

But the interesting thing is if the person were to suddenly, in an instant, turn the light to full power you would be startled by the light and may even have difficulty adjusting for a while.

Even so, when we take our attention off the light and soul contact fades we tend to think that we are centered as much in the soul as ever. If we could be jolted back in the soul in an instant we would be surprised to see how far off we have been.

Thus we see the danger. Here we have a disciple who has had great spiritual experiences, but his attention has been diverted and his soul contact is waning. It is at a time like this that a dark teacher can step forward and present himself as an angel of light. Unfortunately, if the message has appeal to the lower self, soul contact is often severed for a time and the seeker drifts off in a strange path and sometimes has the unfortunate experience of becoming a pawn in the hands of darkness – while still thinking he is in the soul. Little does he realize he is now a victim of spiritual amnesia.

The key here is to always be aware and watch ourselves. Always pay attention to the inner light and note whether it is dimming or increasing in brightness. The successful disciple must check himself, not only daily, but hourly.

Question: If a Dark Brother cannot duplicate the Holy Spirit then how could he trick one (who has felt the Holy Spirit) into thinking he is in the light?

Good Vibrations

Good Vibrations

The Question: Can the vibration of music be healing? How about certain sounds? What about movement and dance? Could they be considered vibration? If so, can they be used in healing? Are there other healing vibrations?

The healing principle goes back to the example of the tuning fork. That is one tuning fork can cause a similarity of vibration another one.

Then, as we mentioned, good health is really due to one being in tune. One center must be in tune with another, one body with another and the lower self in tune with the higher self and so on.

Quality music is healing because it is created by harmonic vibrations and when we attune to harmonic vibrations then our own tuning is enhanced.

DK made an interesting statement about the Christ. Here he speaks of the alignment, or harmony of vibration of his centers.

“All the seven centres in the etheric vehicle of the Christ were rightly adjusted, correctly aligned, truly awakened and functioning, and properly receptive of all the seven streams of energy coming from the seven planetary centres; these put Him en rapport, therefore, and in full realised contact, with the One in Whom He lived and moved and had His being. The physiological result of this complete “esoteric surrender of the seven” (as it is sometimes called) to the incoming spiritual energies, in their right order and rhythm, was the appearance in the Christ of a perfect endocrine system. All His glands (both major and minor) were functioning correctly; this produced a “perfect man”-physically perfect, emotionally stable and mentally controlled. In modern terms, the “pattern of the behaviour” of the Christ-due to the perfection of His glandular system, as an effect of correctly awakened and energised centres-made Him an expression of divine perfection to the entire world; He was the first of our humanity to arrive at this point in evolution, and “the Eldest in a great family of brothers,” as St. Paul expresses it. The current pictures of the Christ testify to their own complete inaccuracy, for they bear no witness to any glandular perfection; they are full of weakness and sweetness, but show little strength, alert power and aliveness. And the promise has gone forth that as He is, so may we be in this world.” Esoteric Healing, Page 621

Not many have associated dance with healing, but indeed it is. A reader points out that the native American Indians used drumming and dance in healing. I have not heard that before and found it interesting.

In addition they used dance and motion for healing in the ancient temples of Atlantis.

It is interesting to contemplate the similarity between dance and music. The main difference is that music consists of fine vibration and dance is much larger vibrational motions. You note that a good dancer dances in harmony with the music. This means that his motions are in harmony similar to the music, but in different octaves.

The question that may arise is: Exactly how could dance stimulate healing?

The answer is quite simple. When one is ill then one or more of his centers is out of alignment. The center which is out of alignment vibrates out of harmony to its regular note. If a person moves his body in harmony with that note, listening to music in the correct key or harmony with the motion, then it will stimulate the center to self tune. When the tuning is complete healing will ensue.

Color can also be used for healing and what is this? Color is merely the vibration of sound speeded up. Color can be used for healing by the use of color in your room to colored light to the ingesting of certain colored foods.

In addition DK says:

“A number of people who know somewhat the rudiments of the law of vibration, and can definitely, by the power of thought, apply certain waves of colour to effect certain cures, and bring about, through scientific comprehension, the desired results.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Page 246

Question: How is healing and the law of vibration associated with different people who come into our lives? In other words, does the vibration of others within our circle of friends effect us for good or ill? How?

In relation to this law DK states:

“The Law of Vibration is the law of progress, of movement and of rotation. On the seventh or lowest plane, the vibration is slow, clogged and lethargic from the standpoint of the first, and it is in learning to vibrate or to rotate more rapidly, that we mount the path of return. It involves, therefore necessarily, the building in of finer matter into the vehicles, both deva and human. In this second system, on the five planes of human evolution, we have the five vehicles-physical, astral, mental, buddhic and atmic-which have all to be purified, rarefied, intensified and refined. In the two lowest, the physical and the astral, only matter of the five higher subplanes, of their respective planes, is to be found, for the two lowest subplanes are too low for deva or human bodies; they were dominated in the first system. The mental body is the first in which we find matter of all the subplanes. The aim of evolution for us is love dominated by intelligence-or intelligence dominated by love, for the interaction will be complete.” Treatise on Cosmic Fire, Page 576

He makes an interesting statement here. He says “The Law of Vibration is the law of progress, of movement and of rotation.”

Contemplate in particular the word “progress,” study the quote and explain what he means by the above statement.

One of the things that causes two people to sense a healing and harmonious vibration from each other is if they are on the same rays in the bodies of their polarization. For instance, if the two are both polarized in the emotional body and both have these bodies on the same ray then we have the possibility of an intense romantic relationship.

If the two are polarized in the mental body and are on the same ray in that body then a very intense and creative partnership can be formed.

If more than one of their bodies is on the same ray the feeling of soul mate will come to their thoughts as they get to know each other.

We are all like tuning forks to a degree which have an effect on others who come into our lives. Because of this it is extremely important to filter those whom you allow to become close to you. Most relationships are formed at random, but to do this is a mistake. Just like medicine some people are beneficial to you are others are not. Would you grab a handful of twelve varieties of pills and take them all on the chance they will all do you good?

No. Instead you will be careful to make sure you take only good medicine so you can heal.

So how can we find the people who may be beneficial to us?

The answer is that energy follows thought and we must learn to place out thought and attention on picking up the vibrations of the various people we meet. After this is done for a period of time a person will acquire a talent to read people even on first meeting them. Certain impressions and vibrations will be picked up.

What then is the sensitive to do when he picks up a vibration of a person who is not good for him?

He should be friendly, but not engage. If you do not engage by sharing your own vibration with him or her then the chances of this person wanting to get closer to you will be small. In other words, you use the principle of attrition.

No one should be in your life unless you allow them to be there.

When you do allow someone within the first rings of your aura you must then test them before you allow them in the second ring. Eventually if one is wise there will be certain trusted people with whom you can share vibrations on a deep level. These are people who can be very healing.

Then there are many who have gaps in their lives. They long for a certain vibration that they are lacking that can be supplemented by another. If the person is sensitive then this missing vibration can be recognized when it is found in another.

Many New Agers say that we do not need another person to make them whole, but in many ways we do, for when all the gaps in our own vibration are filled because of resonating vibrations in others we will indeed feel more complete.

For a worker in the light the most harmful vibrations come from a Dark Brother or one who is under his influence.

Question: Can a worker of darkness duplicate the vibration of that which the disciple receives through the soul? Can he fool people to think his vibration is of God? How?

How can the seeker discern the difference in vibration between a worker of light and dark?

Different Vibrations

Different Vibrations

The Questions: What does the law of vibration have to do with creation, or form building?

What does the Law of Vibration have to do with healing and health?

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of your answers to these two fairly deep questions.

A reader says: “If you take two tuning forks and you set one in vibration, and then place it next to the other tuning fork, the second fork will also begin to vibrate at the same frequency, or at some harmonic of the original frequency. Tuning forks and made to vibrate at a certain frequency. Vibrations on the higher planes also have their corresponding harmonics on the lower planes, and this is how activating a vibration in mental matter on a higher plane can affect physical matter on a lower plane. Our bodies have a set of optimal vibrations, and when part of our body is not vibrating at the optimal frequency, the energy doesn’t flow as it should, and we get sick. If we can somehow get the vibration back in synch to where it should be, the body can heal itself. We can do this be applying a vibration from a higher plane to something on a physical plane.”

Another says: “When we work in mental matter we are working at a high vibration. The higher the vibration, the more control there is over the lower vibration. Unconsciously we attune to the vibration of others. That is why family and close friends are comfortable to be around. We are already familiar with their vibrations. Strangers require an adjustment in vibration which requires energy, sort of like an energy dance.”

Here is a third comment: “Some music is very therapeutic because of its vibration and can calm you down or excite you, etc. So hopefully if we can master our own vibration, we can also calm down others who are highly strung.

“(Is time vibrational also, or does it come to an end somewhere down the line, and that is why we must learn what we need to learn quicker than thinking we have an eternity?)”

JJ: Time is created by motion and when the universe goes into pralaya both motion and time will cease until a new creation appears.

Another reader responds to this question: What does the law of vibration have to do with creation, or form building?

“The simple answer. Everything. If I know the vibratory signature of every plane within the three physical worlds, then I can resonate my own vibration through an act of will. Thereby enabling the principle of attraction, which will pull me towards said vibration or plane. (i.e The tuning fork principle at work.) This knowledge will obviously increase my ‘ring-pass-not’. Knowing this signature will also enable me to consciously manipulate matter within this plane. If this is done with enough will power, the resulting impression will appear on all physical planes below – in one form or another. Every plane has its corresponding permanent atom. This atom exists within us all. If we move progressively inwards using this principle we uncover another layer of the onion. This atom or onion has a corresponding vibratory sheath on each physical plane within the three worlds. Knowledge of the vibratory rate of each layer of this onion (permanent atom) gives us power to wield the law of vibration and attraction at will.”

Question: What does the Law of Vibration have to do with healing and health?

Reader: “Understanding the Law of Vibration will enable us to have permanent health. When all our physical sheaths vibrate in harmony and move life energy properly then we have perfect health. Good health can be achieved by simply tuning the instrument (our physical bodies). We have to become like the piano technician who can tune a piano. We take out the appropriate tuning fork, strike the fork and wield the power.”

JJ: What does the law of vibration have to do with creation, or form building? I’ll make a few additional comments on this. A scripture states: “Like attracts like.”

This is actually a principle and also a key to creation.

For instance after Rick invited me to teach here a certain vibration was emitted. This was picked up by a number of people who had a similar vibration within themselves. This gathering of people with a similar vibration has caused the creation and growth of the Keys.

The same goes for other things. If you want money you must put out the money vibration and money will be attracted to you.

If you want loving friends you must put out a loving vibration and you will gather friendly people around you.

If you want to attain a goal you must create vibration or feeling that you would feel when the goal is reached.

We hear a lot about creation through visualization and this is important, but this alone is not enough. The correct vibration must also be created on various levels and, like John’s tuning fork, will draw to us that which is desired or needed.

On the other hand, much sabotage is added to creation by disharmonious vibrations which are released by the unwise creator.

What does the Law of Vibration have to do with healing and health?

It is interesting that ill health is described by the word disease.. This is broken down as dis-ease, or one who is ill at ease. We become ill at ease because the vibrations of our various energy centers at differing levels are not vibrating in harmony. One who is ill has a body that is out of tune. Imagine playing or listening to a piano which is out of tune and you can sense how disharmonious vibration can bring ill health. Tuning the body can produce good health.

Here is an interesting quote from the Aquarian Gospel, chapter 23, on the tuning of the human body:

3 And Jesus sought to learn the Hindu art of healing, and became the pupil of Udraka, greatest of the Hindu healers. 4 Udraka taught the uses of the waters, plants and earths; of heat and cold; sunshine and shade; of light and dark. 5 He said, The laws of nature are the laws of health, and he who lives according to these laws is never sick.

6 Transgression of these laws is sin, and he who sins is sick. 7 He who obeys the laws, maintains an equilibrium in all his parts, and thus insures true harmony; and harmony is health, while discord is disease. 8 That which produces harmony in all the parts of man is medicine, insuring health.

9 The body is a harpsichord, and when its strings are too relaxed, or are too tense, the instrument is out of tune, the man is sick. 10 Now, everything in nature has been made to meet the wants of man; so everything is found in medical arcanes.

11 And when the harpsichord of man is out of tune the vast expanse of nature may be searched for remedy; there is a cure for every ailment of the flesh.

12 Of course the will of man is remedy supreme; and by the vigorous exercise of will, man way make tense a chord that is relaxed, or may relax one that is too tense, and thus may heal himself. 13 When man has reached the place where he has faith in God, in nature and himself, he knows the Word of power; his word is balm for every wound, is cure for all the ills of life.

14 The healer is the man who can inspire faith. The tongue may speak to human ears, but souls are reached by souls that speak to souls. 15 He is the forceful man whose soul is large, and who can enter into souls, inspiring hope in those who have no hope, and faith in those who have no faith in God, in nature, nor in man. 16 There is no universal balm for those who tread the common walks of life. 17 A thousand things produce inharmony and make men sick; a thousand things may tune the harpsichord, and make men well. 18 That which is medicine for one is poison for another one; so one is healed by what would kill another one.

19 An herb may heal the one; a drink of water may restore another one; a mountain breeze may bring to life one seeming past all help; 20 A coal of fire, or bit of earth, may cure another one; and one may wash in certain streams, or pools, and be made whole. 21 The virtue from the hand or breath may heal a thousand more; but love is queen. Thought, reinforced by love, is God’s great sovereign balm.

DK says a number of interesting things about the vibration which creates color.

“A number of people who know somewhat the rudiments of the law of vibration, and can definitely, by the power of thought, apply certain waves of colour to effect certain cures, and bring about, through scientific comprehension, the desired results.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Age 246

“Experiments can be made along the line of vitalisation and magnetisation, which involve direct action on the etheric, and this again will be found hid in the law of vibration and of colour. Later…….we can take up with greater detail the work of these healing groups when gathered for meditation. Here I would but add that certain colours have a definite effect, though I can only as yet enumerate three, and them but briefly:-

“(1) Orange stimulates the action of the etheric body; it removes congestion and increases the flow of prana.

“(2) Rose acts upon the nervous system and tends to vitalisation, and to the removal of depression, and symptoms of debilitation; it increases the will to live.

“(3) Green has a general healing effect, and can be safely used in cases of inflammation and of fever, but it is almost impossible as yet to provide the right conditions for the application of this colour, or to arrive at the adequate shade. It is one of the basic colours to be used eventually in the healing of the dense physical body, being the colour of the note of Nature.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Page 248

These are interesting statements on color, but there are other vibrations. Can the vibration of music be healing? How about certain sounds? What about movement and dance? Could they be considered vibration? If so, can they be used in healing? Are there other healing vibrations?
