Good Vibrations

Good Vibrations

The Question: Can the vibration of music be healing? How about certain sounds? What about movement and dance? Could they be considered vibration? If so, can they be used in healing? Are there other healing vibrations?

The healing principle goes back to the example of the tuning fork. That is one tuning fork can cause a similarity of vibration another one.

Then, as we mentioned, good health is really due to one being in tune. One center must be in tune with another, one body with another and the lower self in tune with the higher self and so on.

Quality music is healing because it is created by harmonic vibrations and when we attune to harmonic vibrations then our own tuning is enhanced.

DK made an interesting statement about the Christ. Here he speaks of the alignment, or harmony of vibration of his centers.

“All the seven centres in the etheric vehicle of the Christ were rightly adjusted, correctly aligned, truly awakened and functioning, and properly receptive of all the seven streams of energy coming from the seven planetary centres; these put Him en rapport, therefore, and in full realised contact, with the One in Whom He lived and moved and had His being. The physiological result of this complete “esoteric surrender of the seven” (as it is sometimes called) to the incoming spiritual energies, in their right order and rhythm, was the appearance in the Christ of a perfect endocrine system. All His glands (both major and minor) were functioning correctly; this produced a “perfect man”-physically perfect, emotionally stable and mentally controlled. In modern terms, the “pattern of the behaviour” of the Christ-due to the perfection of His glandular system, as an effect of correctly awakened and energised centres-made Him an expression of divine perfection to the entire world; He was the first of our humanity to arrive at this point in evolution, and “the Eldest in a great family of brothers,” as St. Paul expresses it. The current pictures of the Christ testify to their own complete inaccuracy, for they bear no witness to any glandular perfection; they are full of weakness and sweetness, but show little strength, alert power and aliveness. And the promise has gone forth that as He is, so may we be in this world.” Esoteric Healing, Page 621

Not many have associated dance with healing, but indeed it is. A reader points out that the native American Indians used drumming and dance in healing. I have not heard that before and found it interesting.

In addition they used dance and motion for healing in the ancient temples of Atlantis.

It is interesting to contemplate the similarity between dance and music. The main difference is that music consists of fine vibration and dance is much larger vibrational motions. You note that a good dancer dances in harmony with the music. This means that his motions are in harmony similar to the music, but in different octaves.

The question that may arise is: Exactly how could dance stimulate healing?

The answer is quite simple. When one is ill then one or more of his centers is out of alignment. The center which is out of alignment vibrates out of harmony to its regular note. If a person moves his body in harmony with that note, listening to music in the correct key or harmony with the motion, then it will stimulate the center to self tune. When the tuning is complete healing will ensue.

Color can also be used for healing and what is this? Color is merely the vibration of sound speeded up. Color can be used for healing by the use of color in your room to colored light to the ingesting of certain colored foods.

In addition DK says:

“A number of people who know somewhat the rudiments of the law of vibration, and can definitely, by the power of thought, apply certain waves of colour to effect certain cures, and bring about, through scientific comprehension, the desired results.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Page 246

Question: How is healing and the law of vibration associated with different people who come into our lives? In other words, does the vibration of others within our circle of friends effect us for good or ill? How?

In relation to this law DK states:

“The Law of Vibration is the law of progress, of movement and of rotation. On the seventh or lowest plane, the vibration is slow, clogged and lethargic from the standpoint of the first, and it is in learning to vibrate or to rotate more rapidly, that we mount the path of return. It involves, therefore necessarily, the building in of finer matter into the vehicles, both deva and human. In this second system, on the five planes of human evolution, we have the five vehicles-physical, astral, mental, buddhic and atmic-which have all to be purified, rarefied, intensified and refined. In the two lowest, the physical and the astral, only matter of the five higher subplanes, of their respective planes, is to be found, for the two lowest subplanes are too low for deva or human bodies; they were dominated in the first system. The mental body is the first in which we find matter of all the subplanes. The aim of evolution for us is love dominated by intelligence-or intelligence dominated by love, for the interaction will be complete.” Treatise on Cosmic Fire, Page 576

He makes an interesting statement here. He says “The Law of Vibration is the law of progress, of movement and of rotation.”

Contemplate in particular the word “progress,” study the quote and explain what he means by the above statement.

One of the things that causes two people to sense a healing and harmonious vibration from each other is if they are on the same rays in the bodies of their polarization. For instance, if the two are both polarized in the emotional body and both have these bodies on the same ray then we have the possibility of an intense romantic relationship.

If the two are polarized in the mental body and are on the same ray in that body then a very intense and creative partnership can be formed.

If more than one of their bodies is on the same ray the feeling of soul mate will come to their thoughts as they get to know each other.

We are all like tuning forks to a degree which have an effect on others who come into our lives. Because of this it is extremely important to filter those whom you allow to become close to you. Most relationships are formed at random, but to do this is a mistake. Just like medicine some people are beneficial to you are others are not. Would you grab a handful of twelve varieties of pills and take them all on the chance they will all do you good?

No. Instead you will be careful to make sure you take only good medicine so you can heal.

So how can we find the people who may be beneficial to us?

The answer is that energy follows thought and we must learn to place out thought and attention on picking up the vibrations of the various people we meet. After this is done for a period of time a person will acquire a talent to read people even on first meeting them. Certain impressions and vibrations will be picked up.

What then is the sensitive to do when he picks up a vibration of a person who is not good for him?

He should be friendly, but not engage. If you do not engage by sharing your own vibration with him or her then the chances of this person wanting to get closer to you will be small. In other words, you use the principle of attrition.

No one should be in your life unless you allow them to be there.

When you do allow someone within the first rings of your aura you must then test them before you allow them in the second ring. Eventually if one is wise there will be certain trusted people with whom you can share vibrations on a deep level. These are people who can be very healing.

Then there are many who have gaps in their lives. They long for a certain vibration that they are lacking that can be supplemented by another. If the person is sensitive then this missing vibration can be recognized when it is found in another.

Many New Agers say that we do not need another person to make them whole, but in many ways we do, for when all the gaps in our own vibration are filled because of resonating vibrations in others we will indeed feel more complete.

For a worker in the light the most harmful vibrations come from a Dark Brother or one who is under his influence.

Question: Can a worker of darkness duplicate the vibration of that which the disciple receives through the soul? Can he fool people to think his vibration is of God? How?

How can the seeker discern the difference in vibration between a worker of light and dark?
