The Mystic and the Occultist

The Mystic and the Occultist

I had one reader expressing criticism of spending too much time on mysteries, details of the universe, the Hierarchy and so on. She wants to concentrate on the spiritual flow and not mess with the details.

Then others want details about everything and have an endless flow of questions.

Which path is correct?

Actually the question is not one of correctness so much as the internal makeup of the individual.

Each person (according to Djwhal Khul) as he enters the path pursues either the path of the mystic or the path of the occultist. The makeup of the mystic will be polarized in rays 2, 4 & 6 and the occultist will lean toward 1, 3, 5 & 7. Both influences will be in the two groups, but one will always dominate.

The mystic is the seeker who seeks a state of consciousness rather than the discovery of knowledge, principles and details.

The occultist, on the other hand, seeks concrete knowledge of how things work as well as seeking the consciousness aspect.

DK does go on to point out, however, that we eventually explore both paths and in time the mystic’s desire for knowledge will get the best of him and he will turn into an occultist and seek to find all that is hidden.

Radical Christians tend to associate the word “occult” with something evil, but all the word means is “that which is hidden.” This means that the parables of Jesus were occult because, as he stated, there were hidden meanings in them.

Often times when the occultist meets the mystic there is a lack of understanding. The occultist will not understand why the mystic seems to have little curiosity about the mysteries or why things work. Then the mystic will shake his head at the occultist thinking he is missing the point of higher consciousness in his pursuit of all the details of the truth.

There is advancement upon the path to be had by both camps, but as the advancement is made both groups some detours are inevitable.

The mystic may over simplify and think he has reached the end of all being when he finds a certain stage of consciousness. He may lose his desire to discover for a period of time.

The mystic must eventually learn that every piece of knowledge and every principle are like small and large pieces to great puzzles that we must eventually see. To say “I don’t need that piece of knowledge” is to say that one is happy with a picture in his living room with pieces cut out. All the pieces are necessary for the seeker to acquire a fullness of joy. Even one missing piece eventually tarnishes the beauty of the picture.

The occultist may get so bogged down in knowing the details that he may miss seeing the overriding principles. Can’t see the “forest for the trees” is the phrase of contemplation here. The occultist must learn to fit the pieces of knowledge he acquires with the overriding principle and make sure there is alignment.

Data which is not true, or does not fit into the wholeness of the picture must be dropped and replaced by appropriate pieces so the true vision comes to the eye. To consummate his progress the occultist must acquire and understand the consciousness of the mystic.

DK says: “As we train disciples, we seek to develop in the occultist mystical awareness and, in the mystic, practical occult knowledge.” Discipleship in the New Age: Vol I, Page 556

Most forums and schools of thought appeal to either the mystic or occultist in thought. This group has gathered an interesting assortment of the two. We attempt here to present material of interest to both groups.

So which direction do you lean? Are you more of an occultist, mystic or combination?

Question: Could you give us more details on the Lords of Compassion?

Even though the Lords of Compassion outnumber the Masters of Wisdom only passing references are made to them in the Bailey and other writings. Part of the reason for this is that Djwhal Khul is a Master of Wisdom on the occult path and he, of course, writes more material around his own domain of thought that corresponds to his path.

The Second Ray, as we said, is dual and this of course governs the heart center and manifests itself as Love/Wisdom. In addition to this there is a second heart center in the head which also manifests this aspect.

The regular heart center is polarized in the love aspect and the one in the head is polarized in the wisdom aspect. Even so both of them have 12 petals each and in each center these 12 petals are divided between the two energies.

The Masters of Wisdom are those high entities who have mastered all the twelve energy petals with both heart centers and linked them to the Shamballa energy. These have taken the fifth initiation or higher and follow the occult path.

These usually graduate to the Fifth Path, called the Ray Path and are closely aligned to Rays 2, 1, 3 & 5 with emphasis on 5.

To understand the Lords of Compassion the first thing to realize is that the soul, your Solar Angel, is a Lord of Compassion and sacrificed itself through compassion so you could be born as an entity.

Thus the major step to be made to become a Lord of Compassion is to become one with your own soul. When this occurs the disciple will understand the sacrifice that was made so he could be and become. This gives him the desire to also sacrifice and become a Lord of Compassion.

The consummate Lord of Compassion is the mystic who has evolved as far as possible without fully developing the manasic (mind) principle. He has reached the threshold of the fifth initiation and at the sixth he will choose the Fourth Path to Sirius where he will complete his mental mastery and shift his attention to the occult path where complete mastery will be his.

The Lords of Compassion are not always called Masters for to attain all the powers of a Master one must develop the wisdom aspect and the mind. As D K says the mind is the “plane whereon the masters can be found.”

The Masters of Wisdom are somewhat detached from the sufferings of mankind and this gives them freedom to accomplish their many lines of work, many of which are not directly related to the human kingdom.

The Lords of Compassion, on the other hand, are very tuned in to the feeling aspect and either cannot or refuse to detach themselves from human suffering. These work with the “saving” aspect of the Christ and seek to save mankind from their sins and suffering by working directly with them. These Lords and thousands of Lords in training are either drawn directly into incarnation or work with those incarnated to relieve the suffering of the race. These Lords will not feel their work is done until heaven and earth come together and all the people of the earth have equal access to all the gifts of God.

All disciples have some of the Compassion and Wisdom aspect in them, but all will lean more toward one direction than the other.

The Lords of Compassion are closely aligned to Rays 2, 3, 4 and 6.

Progression in Intelligence

Progression in Intelligence

Comment from LDS reader: “There seems to be a contradiction in your teachings about Christ. On one hand you teach about the Biblical entity who was Christ and then you tell us that Christ is within us all.”

I have not taught that it is one or the other, but the problem is that you are referring to two different principles that I have taught and seeing them as one principle taught with contradiction. There is no contradiction.

Principle One: The Christ Within

Even though there has and does live the Christ without (Christ who appeared in a physical body 2000 years ago) the very same scriptures that testify of his outer appearance also witnesses to the Christ principle which is within and available to us all.

On earth, those who are members of the body of Christ are those who “know the love of Christ” and are “filled with the FULNESS OF GOD” (Eph 3:19)… “until Christ be formed IN YOU.” (Gal 4:19) “To whom God would make known what is the riches of glory of this MYSTERY among the Gentiles: which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory.” Col 1:28

“LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS: who being in the form of God, thought it not mockery to be EQUAL WITH GOD: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…” Phil 2:5-7 “…That the life of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” II Cor 4:10

“God has now made (us) to share the very life of Christ.” Col 2:13 Phillips

Here we see that the scriptures harmonize with some new age teachings that there is a Christ within.

The Christ within is much different than an entity who represents the Christ principle or office. The Christ principle is that which mediates between Spirit and matter or God and man. The interplay of spirit and matter is soul, or soul energy, and when we go within to seek the kingdom and contact this soul we contact the door which mediates between matter and Spirit. Here we contact the Christ principle. When this is accomplished it is said that we have the Christ consciousness, which is a much different thing than being a Messiah or claiming to be Jesus.

Principle Two: The Office of Christ

The office of Christ is a much different thing than the Christ which is within us all.

Each of the three aspects of God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) has various offices of representation in hierarchical order throughout the universe. Even so, on little planet of no great importance we also have these offices represented. He who holds one of these offices is the one deemed upon the planet to the best, most quintessential, representative of the essence of one of these three aspects of God.

Joseph Smith commented on the appointment of the Father God of this earth as follows:

“The heads of the Gods appointed one God for us; and when you take [that] view of the subject, its sets one free to see all the beauty, holiness and perfection of the Gods.” DHC 6:476

Joseph also stated quite clearly that Christ is an office held by an individual on each of the worlds: “Jesus is one of a grand order of Saviors. Every world has its distinctive Savior and every dispensation its Christ.” Women in Mormondom by Edward W. Tullidge; Page 192.

Many early Mormon teachers also referred to the Holy Spirit as an office:

“It is not to be wondered at that men should be ignorant, in a great measure, of the principles of salvation, and more especially of the nature, OFFICE, power, influence, gifts, and blessings of the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Section Five 1842-43 p.242

“He is one of the three characters we believe in, whose OFFICE it is to administer to those of the human family who love the truth. I have stated that they are one, as the hearts of three men might be one.” Discourses of Brigham Young, p.30

“It had been revealed to them by the Holy Ghost, whose OFFICE it is to reveal that which is past, present, and that which is to come.” The Discourses of Wilford Woodruff, p.114

Thus we see that early LDS teachings agree with the Ancient Wisdom as well as the recently revealed wisdom from the East that there are three great individual entities who head the offices of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

On other planets these individuals will be different entities than exist here, but the principle behind the three great aspects of God is the same throughout the universe.

Around this principle of progressing to be like the Gods or Masters the scripture makes an interesting statement:

“Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.” D&C 130:18

As I have pointed out in my writings the resurrection of KRISIS (mistranslated damnation) is really reincarnation. This being true, then, when we rise again in a new birth we take with us the accumulated intelligence that we had in our last life.

A person does not have the intelligence of a Master or God and then loose it in a future birth. It is true he may lose his memory, but not his intelligence.

Is there then a risk in coming back to the earth after achieving liberation and what is the risk?

After we are reborn on the earth we spend the first 21 years of life reliving in miniature our entire progression as a human being. If you look back and examine how your intelligence and consciousness evolved during your youth this will give you an idea of how your progression has went so far. Did you make a giant leap between the ages of 15-16? That indicates that several lifetimes ago you had a pivotal life wherein you accelerated your growth. Near the age of 21 did you have a change of heart or direction? This would indicate a more recent line of progression you are working on.

We were not gods or masters in our last life and then in this one show little or no evidence of such high consciousness. Many there are who claim to have been a great entity in a past life but show no signs of such intelligence or talent in this one. The consciousness you had at the age of 21 is very similar (as a general rule) to the consciousness you had near the end of your last life.

Even so, we always have free will and even if one happens to be fairly far along the path he can make some bad choices which will direct his intelligence toward a destructive end. If he makes such a choice the person will still maintain high intelligence, but will place a cloud between his consciousness and the Spirit of God and this intelligence which he has spent such a long time developing will be used for pure selfishness and the person will be in danger of choosing the dark path.

Therefore, if one feels that he has not chosen the path of selfishness he can rest assured that the state of progressed intelligence he is in at the moment is not at a lower point than it was in his past lives.

It is true, however that when we master a certain talent to the extent that more concentration on that talent will yield little progress then that knowledge will go below the threshold of consciousness and we will have an inward instruction to learn in a different direction.

Suppose you perfected musical talent in your last life. In this one you will be inwardly guided toward a new field – maybe science or medicine, for instance, so you can expand your horizon. But even with this shift of attention your basic intelligence will not diminish, but slowly unfold and grow.

Just as we have the Christ consciousness within even so we have a latent Father consciousness which is our originating intelligence which is linked to the oneness of God. We did not have a realization of this consciousness in our ancient past, but have come here to develop it and then when we return to the higher spheres we will enjoy a reunion with the Father aspect with full consciousness awareness of who we are, the end of which will be great joy.

Understanding Love and Wisdom

Understanding Love and Wisdom

The Question:

Is mindlessness the way to go to find or manifest Love? Why does this second aspect (related to the Christ of the Trinity) have the dual name of Love/Wisdom?

Comment: Mindlessness would negate the third ray (the light of intelligence) within the Godhead.

Comment: Love and wisdom are placed together because the one without the other is meaningless. … Love and wisdom TOGETHER will help us to have or become that which we decide.

Comment: How can we become wise and loving if we are mindless? I think the second ray of Love/Wisdom has it’s dual name because without wisdom there cannot be “real” love.

Comment: And if mindlessness were part of the equation, then why the scriptural injunction: “Be ye transformed by the RENEWAL of your mind . . .”

Comment: There is no existence to Wisdom without Love, and you can’t love anything without knowing it first.

Comment: We all know that people are not completely balanced in Love and Wisdom. Some have a heart of gold but no idea what to do with it, while others are wise in their ways but don’t embrace compassion earned through at-one-ment with their brothers. One day balance will reign 🙂

Comment: Those who have been through hardship together and weather the storms often have the strongest commitment or bond to each other and can truly feel what I call love for each other weather it is a husband and wife or a group of soldiers who have been to battle together. I suspect service plays a big part in this? Soldiers who often didn’t know each other before create a bond for life with those they went through hell with. So if we decide to commit and we consciously put our attention on the object of our love and actively serve, could this be the building blocks of love?

Great comments my friends. The last comment brings up an interesting point. That is the feeling of love expands and flourishes within us when we go through some group experience, hardship or achievement together.

He who isolates himself in a life of meditation only will never know the burning fire and devotion that two or more can share who have gone through the fire of experience.

Take the New Yorkers, for instance, in the 911 disaster. (written Dec 2001) Before Sept 11 the people of the city could care less if they ever saw Mayor Giuliani again or for that matter each other. Then after the disaster when the people of the city went through an intense shared experience things have changed. Now they love their mayor for they looked for leadership and he delivered. Many have also helped each other and the barriers that divided them are now largely taken down and the people of the city are feeling a warmth toward their fellow residents they have never felt before.

Djwhal Khul says this:

“Only those truths which are wrought out individually in the crucible of experience really penetrate into the living consciousness and bear fruit…

“Therefore, my brother, I call you to a more dynamic living than heretofore. The attainment of the outer attitude in your chosen work has been good. The inner orientation to the soul as love, is also good. Let there be no doubt in your mind upon this point. But paralleling this steady progress must come an increasing crescendo of experience, and a more vivid interim living.” Discipleship in the New Age: Vol I, Page 11

Love without experience is love without wisdom for wisdom comes by doing – by going through trying experiences.

Experience is created by Rays One and Three for Purpose (Ray One) guided by intelligent activity (Ray Three) produces the living experience of Love.

Is mindlessness the way to go to find or manifest Love?

Of course not.

The question is – why do so many preach that we must lose the mind to find love?

The answer is that such teachers do not understand the mind, “the plane of which the masters may be found.”

While it is true that over reliance on the mind can “slay the real” it is also true that the mind must be used as a guide to steer us toward the truth. If we use mind as a guide and not the ultimate authority then both love and truth will be discovered.

Why does this second aspect (related to the Christ of the Trinity) have the dual name of Love/Wisdom?

The answer is that there are two basic energies that make up this Ray. The first is the energy of feeling represented by Love and secondly thought or mind, represented by Wisdom.

Many do not realize that the Brotherhood of Light is dividend into two groups. The group mentioned most often by Djwhal Khul is the Masters of Wisdom, masters of thought. The second, less talked about but more numerous are the Lords of Compassion -highly evolved servants, most of whom have not mastered wisdom.

Since Djwhal Khul is a Master of Wisdom and teaches from the plane of the mind we hear much more about this group. On the other hand, the Lords of Compassion have also reached a high stage of evolution, but have done so following a more mystical path. These entities are pure in heart and often incarnate among humanity as loving servants (Mother Teresa), but because they have not fully evolved the mind aspect they will eventually leave earth and attend additional schools in the Sirius system. There they will develop the manasic, or mind principle to perfection.

The next aspect is the Third Ray of Active Intelligence. Why do you suppose this aspect which is associated with the Holy Spirit is called Active Intelligence and what does this phrase mean?

What do you suppose the three sub aspects of this Ray are?

Questions on the Planets, the Logos and More

Questions on the Planets, the Logos and More

Question: In esoteric literature Saturn has certain responsibilities over the human race and its evolution.” What responsibilities, and Why? Why should another planet have issues/duties regarding this one? Are there any other planets that have issues/duties re. earth?

JJ: First we must realize that the entire solar system represents one life and the seven sacred planets correspond to the seven chakra centers in our bodies. The other planetary bodies represent lesser energy points. In a living body a center works for the benefit of the whole body, not just the part.

The last solar system was governed by the Third Ray and this one by the Second. Because the Jews and some others are a remnant of the previous solar system The Lord of Saturn is a natural choice to provide them with the discipline they need to move into Second Ray progression of higher consciousness. The reason for this is Saturn is the Lord of the Third Ray. Astrologically Saturn is the Lord of discipline, the Father figure of the Solar System and this the astrologers have intuited correctly.

The influences of Saturn and Mercury are very key to human evolution. Saturn provides the disciple and guidance and Mercury inspires the higher knowledge.

Question: What role, exactly, does Venus play in the history of this earth, and its spiritual development. The Jehovah posts touched briefly on it. I know that Venus meant a great deal to the Mayan people, and their ancestors. Why?

JJ: Venus is called earth’s sister planet, it’s alter-ego and esoterically is earth’s “Higher Self” among the planets. Venus is to earth as our soul is to us. The Ancient of Days came from there 23 million years ago, but did not come from the physical planet, but a higher sphere connected with Venus. Each planet has seven worlds, planes, globes or spheres connected to it. We are on the fourth globe of the earth which is the lowest. There are three descending globes and three ascending ones. When the earth is “translated” we will move to the next ascending globe. This complete transition is millions of years away, but has actually already began in a small way among more advanced life forms.

Question: Some people believe that the earth’s Ancient of Day’s came from Venus. Is Venus a sacred planet like Saturn? Was our Ancient of Days the son aspect of the father/son relationship with the Lord of Venus?

JJ: Yes, Venus is a sacred planet on the Fifth Ray. The Ancient of Days calls himself a disciple of the Solar Logos, but it is quite likely that he has a teacher on Venus. Details are not given out at this time.

Question: Why did “our logos” [who became the 1st Adam, or “Ancient of Days”] come to earth from Venus?

JJ: When any student reaches a degree of advancement then he must enter into a cycle of service.

Djwhal Khul words this as follows:

“Under this Law of Sacrifice, Sanat Kumara (to express the idea in occult terms) “must turn His back upon the Central Spiritual Sun, and with the light of His Countenance irradiate the path of the prisoners of the planet.” He sentences Himself to stay for as long as may be needed, “acting as the Sun and light of the planet until the Day be with us and the night of pralaya descends upon His finished task.” Thus and only thus can the light of the Central Spiritual Sun begin to penetrate the dark places of the Earth; when this happens all “shadows disappear”-an occult reference to the all-embracing radiance of the Monad as it absorbs both its reflection, the soul, and its shadow, the personality.” Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, Page 287

Question: Why is Venus “sacred”?

JJ: We’ll cover this in greater detail later, but it has to do with the state of evolution of the life of the planet as a whole and the logos who guides it.

Question: If the “Ancient of Days” came from Venus, and is now on Earth, what happened to “Kolob”??

Kolob would be a governing system near the center of the galaxy.

Question: What is a “logos”?

JJ: A logos is a composite life of all the life forms upon a sphere. The most evolved entity upon that sphere is the representative of that consciousness and is able to be one with it and tune into any life upon that sphere as the Ancient of Days does upon the earth.

Question: There is mention of a “solar logos”; a “logos of Saturn”; a “logos of Venus”; and “the Great Logos”. Is “logos” short for a “supreme being” – Lord?? Is the “Lord of Saturn” the same as the “logos of Saturn”, for example?

JJ: Yes. But each of the Logoi has a representative here upon the earth. It was a representative of the Logos of Saturn who worked with Moses.

Question: And … what is the “One Great Life”? The same as “the Great Logos”? The same as “Almighty God”?

JJ: No. The One Great Life is that which has the universe itself (billions of galaxies) as his body.

Those entities who are Gods to us are but amoebas in relation to the even greater ones.

Question: Could it be that each of the planets in our solar system have direction over a certain aspect of spirituality, and therefore have stewardship over that aspect as it concerns the affairs of this planet [or is this ‘way off’]?

JJ: The lives of all the planets interrelate. Some have a closer relationship with earth than others. Saturn, Jupiter and Venus are very important, but the work of Uranus is coming strongly into play because it governs the Age of Aquarius.

Question: How is it that our spiritual (or energy) make-up seems to depend on placement of heavenly bodies (planets, stars) at the time of birth? Is the answer related to the above issues?

JJ: The short answer is that at the moment of birth your body and soul receive an imprint of the states of energy at play in that instant. These energies will then influence (but not control) you throughout your life. Disciples will pick their moment of birth so they will have the required energies to complete their missions.

God is an entire body, filled inside of He/She/It is the Universe and other worlds. We have a body with organs, so too does God. His body parts include the various solar systems, and part of Him is our earth, but because we suffer ill health He now has to heal this part of His body to become one again with his own self, because as we become two, what do we become? We become one with two parts. Everything in life is motion, waves, just as we are, so evolution is endless. So therefore, everything must have some form of intelligence, if it all belongs to God Himself?

Look within to see without.

Question: There is Christ, then His father, God, but what is the Holy Spirit? Is the Holy Spirit something that runs through our central core, like our central nervous system?

JJ: On the physical plane the nervous system does have a close connection with the Holy Spirit and the Third Ray.

However, when we speak of the Holy Spirit we are talking about a spiritual contact in the formless worlds. Djwhal Khul calls it “the active intelligent and nurturing principle of the universe.”

There are also advanced entities that represent this aspect for the whole solar system and also this planet.

It might be correctly stated that in contacting the Holy Spirit we are contacting the Mind of God.

Love and Wisdom

Love and Wisdom

As we begin to examine the second Ray of Love/Wisdom the first thing to look at is the principle differentiation from Ray One, the Ray of Power.

Mathematically Ray One is an odd number and Two is even. Esoterically the odd numbers represent male energy and the even, female. I’m sure the females in the group will be pleased that we are associating the word “odd” with the male energy, yet perhaps feel a little shortchanged that two out of three of the aspects (Rays 1, 2, & 3) are associated with male energy.

This same difference occurs with the totality of the Rays which number seven. We have four odd – male (1, 3, 5 & 7) and three even or female (2, 4 & 6).

A future universe will be built upon a foundation of eight rays where there will be an equal assortment of odd and even, but in this one there seems to be a dominance of the male

From one point of view the even number is a creation due to the interplay between two odd. For instance Ray Two is the midway point of interplay between Rays One and Three. No matter how far you count, when you end on an odd number, you will have a surplus of one number that is odd with all even numbers between the two odd.

Does this mean that there is not a perfect balance of male and female energy in the Universe?

Yes and no.

Yes, in the fact that there is always perfect balance when all things seen and unseen are added up. But the answer is no in the fact that creation of all form cannot take place in a state of perfect balance. Whenever we see the appearance of any form we are witnessing a creation made from an energy interplay which is slightly lopsided. If energy were not out of balance the form would immediately go back to spirit and disappear from view.

Even though seven is the number of creation, twelve is the number of ultimate perfection because it divides into an equality of six even and six odd or four Trinities making the foursquare building blocks of totality.

The Seventh Ray is called the Synthetic Ray, however, and because it is synthetic its male charge is very slight and in relation to Ray one it is female.

Overall the out-of-balance energy which creates this universe is so slight that it would seem to be mathematically insignificant. Nevertheless, it is there and without this lack of balance we would not exist as we are now, nor would we all possess the drive toward evolution, for the Will-to-Evolve comes from an inner drive to seek greater balance.

The Trinity is thus composed of Rays One, Two and Three. This is 66% male energy which seems like more than a slight imbalance. Where is the balance to be found?

The answer can be found in this symbology. The Rays One and Three represent pillars and Ray Two represents a door. The door and that which lies behind the door create two which produces an esoteric fourth of creation and the possibility of ultimate balance.

That which lies behind the door is a great mystery and is one reason that the female often has the word “mystique” associated with her.

Question:

How are Wisdom and Understanding related to Love? Can real spiritual Love become manifest without them?

One of my favorite quotes is from Leonardo DaVinci:

“Before something can be loved, it must first be understood.”

The female seems to understand this principle more than the male and is constantly seeking for males to make greater effort to understand her and the relationship.

To his credit the advanced male does seek to be understood in the world of ideas.

Even though understanding is important, love could not manifest by the use of this aspect (understanding) alone. A hurtful person may understand you, but negate that understanding with selfish motive. When wisdom is added then wholeness comes before the vision and motive is lifted above the isolated individual self.

Selfishness will take understanding and manipulate it toward destructive ends. Wisdom takes understanding and uses it constructively for the greatest benefit of the largest possible number.

One of the problems with the comprehension of this second Ray of Love/Wisdom is that many students equate this energy with the touchy-feely solar plexus self-satisfying emotion. In fact many new age teachers go so far as to tell us we must “lose our minds,” “become mindless,” “leave the mind behind,” or some such thing before they can experience love.

But notice that the second Ray is not just called the Ray of Love, but has the dual name of Love/Wisdom.

What do you think? Is mindlessness the way to go to find or manifest Love? Why does this aspect (related to the Christ of the Trinity) have the dual name of Love/Wisdom?

Question: Is polyamorousness something disciples should embrace?

Djwhal Khul makes this statement:

“Sex is then seen to be in truth only the relation of the lower nature to the higher Self; it is then lifted up into the light of day in order that man may reach complete union with divinity. Man discovers that sex (which has hitherto been a purely physical function, carried on sometimes under the impulse of love) is elevated into its rightful plane as the divine marriage, carried out and consummated upon the levels of soul awareness. It is this great truth which lies beyond the sordid story of sex expression, of sex magic and the distortions of modern Tantric magic. Humanity has stepped down the symbolism and in its thoughts debased sex to an animal function and failed to lift it up into the realm of symbolic mystery. Men have sought through physical expression to produce the inner fusion and harmony which they crave and this cannot be done. Sex is but the symbol of an inner duality which must be itself transcended and wrought into a unity. It is not transcended by physical means or rituals. It is a transcendence in consciousness.” Esoteric Astrology, Page 385

The end purpose of sex is unity and all sex (as well as other energies) must be dedicated toward union and not separateness. Most polyamorous relationships are merely an excuse to indulge the lower nature.

I have written on this in my book The Molecular Relationship.

The Will to Manifest

The Will to Manifest

How is it that Purpose and Will must be used to obtain the Power to:

(1) Have a happy love relationship

(2) Obtain financial freedom

(3) Obtain spiritual progress, insight and power.

First it is interesting to note that the desires of our hearts are much more closely linked to power than Purpose or Will.

The average person wishes much more for the Power he may get from riches rather than the Will and Purpose it takes to obtain them.

Power is the end result of all desire. This is true even with Love in connection with desire. People desire the Power to love, the Power to attract love and the Power to be loved. Even Love would only exist in theory if there was no Power to manifest its presence.

The problem with the obtaining of the powers that we desire is that the average person wants to bypass Will and Purpose and seize Power without going through the necessary steps.

A thief is the extreme example of this. He sees something he wants that will seem to elevate his Power (money, for example) and then he will merely take it to himself thinking he can obtain Power in one encroaching step.

Power obtained through theft is illusion and no Power at all, for the laws of karma will soon take from him with interest that which he has unlawfully seized. Then he will be much more powerless than before he committed the crime of theft.

True power comes through obedience to law and law is governed by true creative principles.

When you examine logically Will and Purpose it is as difficult to decide which comes first in creation – a little like the chicken and the egg. From one point of view Purpose comes first, but from another Will does. Part of the reason for this is that there are higher and lower octaves of all these aspects.

From the viewpoint of general creation on the physical plane Purpose cones first. We must have a sense of Purpose before the Will can be aroused toward creation.

True Purpose descends upon us through soul contact. When correct contact has been made, goals will be formulated which will further the Plan of God.

When true Purpose has thus been sensed there will arise an inner drive to fulfill which cannot be extinguished by normal problems which confront us.

So what about people who are selfish with no soul contact and yet achieve? Do they have Purpose?

They have the lower octave of Purpose which is motivated by self and not soul.

If one’s motivation-to-Will comes from lower Purpose then the creation will produce a temporary effect and the satisfaction will be transitory and illusionary.

If one’s motivation-to-Will comes from soul Purpose then the effects will be long lasting and the satisfaction great.

But if one’s motivation-to-Will comes from higher spiritual Purpose then the effects will be eternal and the disciple will have fullness of joy.

The key for each of us is to tune into the highest Purpose of which we can conceive and formulate our goals around it. When the goal is firmly established in the mind then the creator must place attention on the goal through the power of Will. Using Will, the attention on the process and end of creation must be maintained. When this attention-through-Will is maintained then it is only a matter of time until, the creation manifests as long as one thing is in place.

And what is that?

The goal must be in alignment with the highest Purpose of which the seeker can conceive and must not find itself obstructing the Purpose of Higher Intelligence.

When this is the case nothing can prevent the goal from manifesting. It will only be a matter of time.

Melva submitted a parable on the last assignment I thought was sweet. Here it is.

An Island

Once upon a time there was an island where all the feelings lived; happiness, sadness, knowledge, and all the others, including love.

One day it was announced to all of the feelings that the island was going to sink to the bottom of the ocean. So, all the feelings prepared their boats but Love was the only one that stayed. She wanted to preserve this land paradise until the last possible moment. When the island was almost totally under love decided it was time to leave. She began looking for someone to ask for help.

Just then Richness was passing by in a grand boat. Love asked, “Richness, Can I come with you on your boat?” Richness answered, “I’m sorry, but there is a lot of silver and gold on my boat and there would be no room for you anywhere.”

Then Love decided to ask Vanity for help who was passing in a beautiful vessel. Love cried out, Vanity, help me please.” “I can’t help you,” Vanity said, “You are all wet and will damage my beautiful boat.”

Next, Love saw Sadness passing by. Love said, Sadness, please let me go with you.” Sadness answered, “Love, I’m sorry, but I just need to be alone now.”

Then, Love saw Happiness. Love cried out, “Happiness, please take me with you.” But Happiness was so overjoyed that he didn’t hear Love calling to him. Love began to cry.

Then, she heard a voice say, “Come, Love, I will take you with me.” It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she forgot to ask the elder his name. When they arrived on land the elder went on his way.

Love realized how much she owed the elder. Love then found Knowledge and asked, “Who was it that helped me?” It was Time,” Knowledge answered. But why did Time help me when no one else would?,” Love asked.

Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom and sincerity answered, “Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is.”

Divine Possession

Divine Possession

Question: Why is fire left out of the eighth rule of White Magic which reads:

“The midway spot which is neither dry nor wet must provide the standing place whereon his feet are set. When water, land and air meet there is the place for magic to be wrought.”

Fire is not mentioned in this rule but is not left out because the “magic” is the fire. By standing at the midway point “when water, land and air meet” the door to the soul is then open and the baptism of fire is then approached. This is where the magic is.

Let us revert to physical imagery. If you are standing on a beach where the water touches land and water, land and air meet – where is the fire?

There are three fires.

(1) Your internal fires that create your bodily warmth. This represents the gentle fire of your soul.

(2) The fires deep within the earth. This represents the combined fires of the souls of humanity.

(3) The great fire of the Sun. This represents the fire of the Spirit (or monad). Standing at the midway point opens the door to change the night to day and remove the clouds so the greater light of the Sun can be utilized.

Question: Where is Shamballa?

I think we will talk about the kingdoms after we finish the Rays, but I will say this.

Shamballa is a state of consciousness and is represented on the physical plane where those of the Shamballa consciousness are gathered. The main gathering is in etheric matter (invisible to us) in a city in the Gobi desert, but as mentioned in the Immortal there are other locations.

If one has achieved Shamballa consciousness he is said to be in this location no matter where his bodies are located.

Comment: You made this statement:

“I’ll tell you something interesting about Moses that is a little too fantastic to include in the book. Moses was two people in one body just as were Jesus and the Christ. The lower entity was a disciple and the higher was a Master of great power.”

Could you elaborate on this principle?

Several have mentioned that we have numerous lives which make up the one life that we are in totality. Then too there is the Solar Angel which is a Master on it’s own plane which we eventually merge with. The overshadowing and divine possession are mergings of a different nature than are these individual accomplishments. With overshadowing, or divine possession, two complete and whole entities are involved for the sake of some service to mankind.

In a basic overshadowing you will have a master of some degree working with a disciple from a distance. The master’s consciousness will reside in his own body but will merge with the disciple so seamlessly on the higher planes that the disciple will sometimes feel the master’s thoughts are his own. In this case the disciple acts as a receiving agent for one higher than himself.

This is not like channeling for the disciple always maintains full consciousness.

Alice A. Bailey, H. P. Blavatsky, Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, Joseph Smith and Mohammed (to name a few) are examples of this experience.

The divine possession is quite another experience. This involves a merging with an entity of very high order – of the office of Christ or above. In this case the consciousness of the actual entity comes into the disciple’s body and resides there. There is a merging of the disciple, the Holy Spirit and the Christed One. The disciple will feel overwhelmed, as if he is walking in the heart of the sun, or perhaps a thousand suns.

The clearest example we have of this is the record of the baptism of Jesus where John saw the Son of God descended, “enter into” and “remained” with Jesus. This was so overwhelming for Jesus that he immediately went into the wilderness to fast for 40 days to adjust and commune with the presence.

The Divine possession will not always last for the life of the disciple as it did with Jesus for his last three years. Peter was possessed by the Christ for a period of time after Pentecost and Paul, Moses, Merlin were most probably possessed for short periods and overshadowed the rest of the time.

Both would be aware of everything. The disciple would only receive the thoughts from the Master, however, that the Master wants revealed.

Question: Would there be interaction/communication between them?

Yes, but not quite as we have with us mortals. The communion would sometimes be telepathy, but the preferred method is called “impression.” As spoken of by Djwhal Khul.

The disciple born into the body has full power of decision over the body and can reject the overshadowing or divine possession at any time. He will formulate the words even though the thoughts and ideas may come from the Master.

On the other hand, there are occasions where the disciple will leave the body and turn it over completely to the Master making him a walk-in. This can happen with entities below the Christed degree and does not involve so complete of a merging.

Divine Possession occurs rarely, but will happen when a new age, dispensation, or new approach is being introduced to mankind. On the other hand, the overshadowing and the walk-in method is in play somewhere on the earth regularly.

Elijah and Reincarnation

Elijah and Reincarnation

Question from LDS reader: Why do you think that Mal 4:5-6 refers to Elijah reincarnated as John the Baptist?

This is a pretty cut and dried issue which was presented starkly in black and white by Jesus, but let me cover it again.

(1) Mal. 4:5-6 and Mal 3:1 are both referring to the same individual which was to be fulfilled by John the Baptist (Elijah in a past life).

In speaking of Mal 3:1 Jesus spoke of John the Baptist saying:

“But what went ye. out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. FOR THIS IS HE OF WHOM IT IS WRITTEN, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee…” Matt 11:9-10.

Thus there is no argument that John the Baptist is the one spoken of to fulfill this prophesy.

Now concerning a few verses later (Mal. 4:5-6) the apostles asked Jesus:

“His disciples asked him saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias (Elijah) must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come and restore all things. (This refers to a future coming) But I say unto you, that Elias is COME ALREADY, AND THEY KNEW HIM NOT, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.” Matt 17:10-13.

Keep in mind that Elias is Greek for Elijah and all modern Bibles Translate it as Elijah to avoid confusion.

Here both Jesus and the Apostles identified the one who would precede the coming of the Messiah in Malachi as Elijah and “the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist” when talking about its fulfillment.

But note that there would be two appearances. One as Elijah reincarnated through John the Baptist 2000 years ago and another coming to restore all things. Since the messenger in Mal 3:1 is positively identified as Elijah come again then the person named as Elijah in Mal 4:5-6 has to be one and the same person.

Even the Mormon Church (and most Bible scholars) teach that the person in both these scriptures are the same person.

The hearts of the children seeking after their fathers is just one of the meanings of this verse. Let me quote it:

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord; and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:5-6

Joseph gave a different twist on this than is usually taught in the church:

“This is the spirit of Elijah, that we redeem our dead, and connect ourselves with our fathers which are in heaven… We cannot be perfect without our fathers. WE MUST HAVE REVELATION FROM THEM.” Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith Page 338.

This linking up with the dead is to have the effect of giving us revelation. Indeed, many of those who have passed on will at times play the roll of a guardian angel and speak to us in still moments.

As the reader mentioned the angel Moroni quoted this verse differently to Joseph Smith:

“Behold, I will reveal unto you the Priesthood, by the hand of Elijah the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he shall plant in the hearts of the children THE PROMISES MADE TO THE FATHERS, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers. If it were not so THE WHOLE EARTH WOULD BE UTTERLY WASTED AT HIS COMING.” D&C 2:1-3.

And what are the promises made to the Fathers (the prophets)? There are many. In speaking of this verse Joseph Smith said that the most consistent promise made to the fathers was the building of Zion and the gathering of Israel (lights).

Note that an often overlooked part of the verse is that the heart of the Fathers will turn to the children? What does this mean?

We are the fathers of the children of the future and if we do not turn our hearts to them and prepare for them a world free from nuclear weapons, pollution, war and starvation, then indeed the earth will be smitten with a curse.

“Curse here comes from the Hebrew CHEREM which implies “utter destruction” or “extermination,” and this is a real possibility if we do not do our part in leaving our children to come an earth in which they can live in peace and abundance.

Elijah either as a reincarnated messenger or one working from the higher realms is predicted to help with our deliverance.

During the transfiguration we are told that both Moses and Elias (Elijah) appeared to Jesus, but the Inspired Version adds something rather startling for Mormon eyes. It says:

“And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses, OR IN OTHER WORDS, JOHN THE BAPTIST AND MOSES; and they were talking with Jesus.” Mark 9:3

You can’t get amore positive I.D. than that. “in other words” Elijah and John the Baptist were one and the same.

Comment: you say that “Never in history has God sent a resurrected being to accomplish what can be done by mortal men.” But there have been numerous instances where ancient prophets have appeared and assisted various servants.

Other worldly messengers have only appeared briefly, often to one person and have never done the work of mortals, rubbing shoulders with the general populace. If Joseph Smith or any other past being were to return and work with humanity it would be as one of us, not as some resurrected glorified being.

Question: Can translated beings reincarnate?

Many translated beings return to mortality.

“Wherefore, all things are theirs, whether life or death.” D&C 76:59

Question: “If murder is an “unforgivable sin,” then how could David, who committed murder, reincarnate as another prophet as some believe?

The scriptures say that murder is not forgiven “in this world.” Fortunately there are next worlds. In the New Testament “world” comes from AEON which means “an age.” If a person commits murder he will not be forgiven while he lives, but must give his life or save lives to pay the debt which brings forgiveness in a future life, world or age.

Some of the greatest leaders and teachers of humanity have had some of the largest debts to pay off.

The Magic of Power

The Magic of Power

The Assignment:

The second sub aspect of the First Ray of Power is Power itself. We understand power as it manifests in the material world, but what do you suppose Power is from as higher point of view? Why must divine Will precede divine Power?

Actually the sub aspects of Will-Power-Purpose are interrelated and interdependent and it is only from a three dimensional outlook that we can examine them as first, second and third in order.

What exactly then is the sub aspect of power and how is it differentiated from the wholeness of the Father energy of Power?

Words from rule seven of White Magic provides a hint here:

“The midway spot which is neither dry nor wet must provide the standing place whereon his feet are set. When water, land and air meet there is the place for magic to be wrought.”

The magical power of the soul is manifest at the midway spot. Since power is manifest at the midway point, it only makes sense that the midway spot between the aspects of Will and Purpose would be called Power because that is where Power is made manifest.

The First Ray is generally called the Ray of Power because that word best describes our overall understanding of it, but without the interplay of Will and Purpose the Ray would have no real existence and be stagnate. This sub aspect is the soul of the First Ray and the soul of things is where power is made applicable.

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, (Purpose) and breathed (Will) into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (An agent of Power) Genesis2:7

As a reader mentioned, Power being at the midway point has a correspondence to Love which is the major middle aspect (Power-Love-Light). To understand this correspondence we must examine exactly what the energy of Love is.

Despite the world insisting that it is a great mystery we cannot understand, the core meaning is quite simple. “Love is that magnetic force which draws together two or more separate items. The meeting and blending of these separate creations produces an interplay – this interplay is that magic energy we sense as Love.”

What is often overlooked is that this interplay we call Love is also a form of Power. Love has power to motivate beyond all other factors and this is because it is so strongly linked with the sub aspect of power itself.

The magnetic power of Love then pulls together Will and Purpose and as they interplay at the midway point the magical Power of God becomes manifest.

Power as humanity views it is an active force. Things have to get pushed around before power is recognized, but the Power from God is different from this. From a higher point of view, the various motions which we see as power are merely effects, not real Power.

The sub aspect of Power is an invisible seed planted in the thought of God which is picked up by the thought of advanced Lives and planted in advanced minds. Real power becomes manifest when true realization occurs. This realization creates changes which are more than passing effects, but eternal as they fulfill the everlasting Purpose of the Most High.

The last sub aspect is Purpose.

Question. What is the meaning of this word and why do you suppose this sub aspect is named this?

First let us look at the orthodox definitions of purpose given in the dictionary:

  1. The object toward which one strives or for which something exists; an aim or a goal.
  2. A result or an effect that is intended or desired; an intention.
  3. With previous design

The word comes from the Old French word “porposer,” from which the word “propose” is also derived. This indicates that purpose starts with a “proposal” (or design) and purpose is that energy that propels us toward completion of said proposal.

Generally, humanity sees purpose as merely having a goal, but if we see it as “motivation toward completion” we are much closer to the more spiritual meaning.

We go to school, choose a career and get married all because of some motivation that propels us toward a greater sense of completion, or fulfillment. Purpose drives us toward these things.

But that is Purpose as it consciously affects most of humankind. Is there higher Purpose?

Yes. There is a Purpose which all seekers sense that propels us forward on the spiritual path to seek greater completion as we merge with other souls with the realization that “all souls are one.”

As one goes up through the various levels of the Purpose energy we see that there are no words available to describe its higher meaning, but overall this is the only word we have that hints at the meaning of this sub aspect.

Beyond this all the Rays initiate from a point beyond time and space wherein dwells the One Great Life which has created all things through Purpose as I discussed in the Molecular Relationship. Our consciousness can only achieve a slim glimpse at the meaning of this originating energy, but many have found much inspiration in meditating on it.

Question: Why could there be no Purpose as we understand it without Will and Power?

Since Purpose is a female aspect (magnetic) and Will (active – radiant) is male this makes the two aspects as interdependent as male and female, positive and negative. The marriage of Purpose and Will create Power/

Question: Why is the First Ray which blends Will-Power-Purpose usually called the Ray of Power, rather than Will or Purpose?

Answer: This is because Power is the end result of the marriage of Will and Purpose. The creation (Power) thus becomes the most obvious characteristic presented to our view while the Creators (Will and Purpose) seem to be invisible behind the scenes.

It is interesting to note that as Will-Power-Purpose plays out in our lives that Power is much more sought after than the other two. We often wish for more power to make money, power to have more freedom, power to obtain love, happiness etc. Seldom do people wish for more Will and Purpose. But what must be realized is that the key to power (even personal power) is that all three of these aspects must call forth equal attention.

Understanding Will

Understanding Will

The Assignment:

“To understand the First Ray one must contemplate these words (Will – Power – Purpose) – what they mean and how their meanings interplay.

“Think then on these three words and tell us that they mean in relation to God, humanity and each other.”

Since the group seems to be hesitant to take a stab at this let us elaborate on the first sub aspect with some additional thoughts.

WILL

What is will in relation to God and man?

Is the aspect of Will different than the quality of determination? Elaborate.

What are some evidences that a disciple is tuned into higher Will? Does it mean he is super determined or is it something else? What is the else?

DK says that “all life begins with Triangles” and since the great Rays are life in its essence it is not surprising that each of them are also composed of triangles.

As we said the First Ray of Power is composed of a triangle of sub aspects called Will-Power-Purpose.

In looking at these sub aspects, understanding is enhanced if the Law of Correspondences is used. One must keep in mind that the three sub aspects of a Ray correspond to the Holy Trinity, Father-Son-Holy Spirit, the First three Rays of Aspect or Power, Love and Light – Rays 1, 2 and 3.

Therefore Will corresponds to the Father aspect, Power to Love/Wisdom and Purpose to the Third Ray of Light or Intelligent Activity.

Will is therefore important in the understanding of this First Aspect for it is the Father energy within the Father energy itself.

The question to immediately examine then is the meaning of this most mystic word.

When the general populace use this word it is usually used in relation to a fixed determination, a power to dominate or attain. But the meaning, as it is understood by the world, is merely a lower reflection of the true reality of which even the Masters are seeking a greater understanding. Even so, the understanding of this principle within the Kingdom of God far exceeds that of the human kingdom.

Perhaps the greatest clue to understanding is given in the words of the ancient Mantra of the disciple:

“I am a point of sacrificial Fire, focussed within the fiery Will of God.

And thus I stand.”

Will, as it is known in the human kingdom, is characterized by self interest and a strong determination to achieve that interest. This, however, is merely a dim reflection of true will.

To achieve true Will one must do three things:

(1) Become “a point of sacrificial Fire.”

This is the opposite of will as we know it, for to acquire the energy of Divine Will one must sacrifice those ingredients that cause us to use determination to acquire the things of the world.

(2) Focus.

After one takes his attention away from the selfishness of the world he must then focus. Focus where? Focus “within the fiery Will of God.”

How do you focus within the fiery Will of God?

Answer: You must let go of lower will and determination, for this hides the higher will. When the apparent sacrifice (I say apparent because in reality there is no sacrifice) is made the higher stands revealed. As soon as the revelation occurs the one-pointed focus on the part of the seeker must begin.

(3) Stand.

Stand where? Stand with one-pointed thought within the Will which is perceived. When this is done successfully the principle of identification and higher Becoming will be revealed.

The Will of God is an aspect of a Decision of God which is in the process of an irrevocable manifestation. Nothing in the universe can prevent the Decisions of God from being completed. But in the world of time and space the manifestations can be speeded up or slowed down.

When one tunes into the Will of God, he transcends time and sees the Will as already done on earth as it is in heaven and merges with it by being “one with the Father.” This merging with Will is one of the true meanings of faith as it was anciently understood.

By Becoming one with the Will of God through faith one then becomes an agent of that will and if the “focus” is maintained then miraculous manifestations will occur.

But again, let me stress that the focus must be maintained and this is why the mantra has the wording:

“And thus I stand.”

From our point of view we are tempted to get discouraged and cease standing because the manifestation does not occur instantly, but from a higher point of view where time is not measured you are seen as an agent of Will manifesting in the Now.

The disciple must not consider time when seeking to manifest higher Will, but should seek only to “stand” for whatever time it takes to create the point of tension.

Assignment:

The second sub aspect of the First Ray of Power is Power itself. We understand power as it manifests in the material world, but what do you suppose Power is from as higher point of view? Why must divine Will precede divine Power?
