McCall Gathering, 2007, Part 2

This entry is part 2 of 54 in the series McCall Gathering 2007

The Transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius

JJ: What I consider the greatest aspect of slavery in the modern age is taxes, because in that way we are like the slave in the Roman Empire who had to give a half or even less of his profits to his master. The average taxpayer today has to give 50% of his income to his master. The only thing different is that we can circulate around more and go from job to job. So we have moved ahead, that which was slavery then just moved up on a higher turn of the spiral. We are going to talk about the beast a little later on and how the powers that control us produce slavery in the mind and this has to be escaped and can only be escaped through the soul.

Audience: There was a show on TV where these Anthropologists were looking at the bones of some victims in Herculean and Pompeii, and they were looking at the bones of a 12 or 13 year old girl. There was overwhelming evidence in her bones that she had been malnourished and worked to the point where there were actual bruises on her bones indicating that the amount of work that she was forced to do. Today you have to work to make a living, but that is not slavery, that is, just the nature of reality.

2nd member: We are talking about getting to keep all of the money you make and how much time is really you’re own and they enslave our minds today with the use of emotion and propaganda.

JJ: Not all the slaves got to keep most of their profits as there were a variety of relationships there. It was just the ones that had a good master and it is possible that bad masters outweighed the good masters by a large margin. Some of the slaves did not have any freedom at all, but others did.

Audience:  I would just like to see this cycle finish, right now it still feels as though we still have the slave mentality and if nothing else than all this taxation without representation needs to stop and if we continue to cycle and come full circle than we should be able to develop that also.

JJ: One of the things about evolution is that we increase freedom and then move forward and throughout history freedom overall is just slightly increased. Then we made a big surge with the creation of the United States. We made a big surge in freedom and this wounded one of the heads of the beast as it were to death, as the scriptures tell us. But then the deadly wound was healed and the power of the beast was able to creep in and take more control again after the foundation of the country was laid.

Slavery is an evolving thing. We evolve from one point to another to another and another, and we do this as individuals as well. As individuals we are enslaved by our own thoughts and our own belief systems. We shed certain beliefs and we go on to a greater sphere of freedom and then we shed other beliefs and things that hold us back and then move on to an even greater sphere of freedom. Society does this and we as individuals do this. You can look at this in your own life and maybe in the last ten years you have greater sense of freedom inside of you now than you did then. Yes, Larry.

Larry: I think a lot of people feel that they are enslaved but they are the ones that are enslaving themselves and they are afraid that they are going to loose their job and afraid of how they are going to take care of themselves. It’s their own fear that really enslaves them and not the fact that somebody is standing behind them with a whip, forcing them to be a slave.

JJ: Right, if a person has the right state mind then he can actually be in an oppressed position and not feel as enslaved as someone who is totally free. For instance, look at Brittany Spears and Lindsey Lohan. We look at them and think, these people are completely free, (Laughter) but they are misusing their freedom and they probably feel enslaved to a degree.

This is what is creating such a frustrating life for them. In the greatest point of freedom you can still feel enslaved and at the point where you are most restricted that with the right state of mind you can feel free. I look on my most enslaving conditions in my life, I will not go into detail, but what I learned from these points of enslavement was how to feel free within my own mind in a very awkward situation and I found myself being in a greater state of freedom than those who were apparently in a very free situation.

So a lot of freedom is a state of mind but we want to match the state of mind with physical reality. We want to free people physically that holds them down. And this is one of the things that we are going to have as we move into the Aquarian age; we are going to move into greater and greater spheres of freedom.

What we have right now as we approach the Aquarian Age are two forces converging, the forces of darkness and the forces of light. The forces of light and freedom have certain plans and there are forces that are entering into human consciousness, the forces of darkness are trying to move us in the other direction back towards slavery, and would like nothing better than for us to go back in the stone age. These could also be called the building forces and the destructive forces. The dark and light forces are very active in the world today and they are on a collision course with each other. We are approaching a great point of tension and when the dust settles we will learn as to whether we will be moving forward towards more light and freedom or moving backward and loosing much of what we have gained.

So we have this clash between the Piscean and Aquarian age. I believe we have just passed over the cusp of the Aquarian age, which means we have a couple hundred years to go before we get solidified. And until that time we have all this residual effects from the Piscean age. We have all these people still sacrificing to churches, giving money just to build stone churches that really do not accomplish very much. They give money to priests and who knows what they do with it. A little bit is accomplished, you see some of these guys on TV where they ask for donations to feed a child in a third world country and that is good but generally the money given to churches does not really accomplish much. In other words, what we have is a residual effect of sacrifice from the Piscean age and much of that sacrifice is not intelligently put to good use, it does not go to where it will really help to make any kind of great change.
The mistake people make is that they think everything about the Piscean age is bad. Well, not everything is not bad, it is just the fact that we are moving into a new age and there are certain things that we have to let go of. With the Piscean Age we have to learn about what did not work and let it go. We have to learn about what did not work about sacrifice, which is the key ingredient of the Piscean age. When we give our money we should give it in such a way that we know what is being done with it so we know that our money is being put to good use.

Now how many times have people given their money to what they thought was a good cause and it winds up doing something that actually does more harm than good. This happens with our taxes, organizations, churches, and not only to churches but also to all kinds of other benevolent organizations, and all of them whether they be good or evil have a really nice sounding name. But everything that sounds good is not necessarily good.

One of the things that I always ask when somebody asks for a donation is, what percentage actually goes to help these kids or this cause? Half the time the telephone solicitor says, well I am not really told. If they are not really told than it means that not too much is going to where they are saying it goes to. If a large amount goes to a good cause than they will use that as a selling point. I have heard some of them only have about 20% that goes to overhead, which is good and others when you look into it maybe only 2% goes to where you think the money is going to.

One of my first jobs in advertising was selling advertising in a police magazine and I think about 2% of the money we took went to publish the magazine and to the policemen. That was the easiest advertising I ever sold. When we sold it the salespeople spoke with a voice of authority and this seemed to work well. This was back in 1972 when there were hardly any long distance sales because the watts line was extremely expensive back then and not too many people had one. All of us loved selling that police magazine because we could speak with a voice of authority and we could tell that people would get a little bit nervous when they heard that authoritative voice. (Laughter)

But anyway just a very small percentage went to the police magazine and the police were happy to get their magazine published for free. We also did one for the Jaycees and that was a lot harder to sell because people were not afraid of the Jaycees and everyone was afraid of the police. Now you get calls from all these people and it does not put the fear of God in you like the old days.

During the Piscean age they would give their money to their priest, prophet, or leader and they would not question it, because they were told, give this money and it will get you into the kingdom of God it would please Jesus. You would get a notch up higher in heaven and would get more of a reward by giving this money. Did they get any reward you think?

About the only reward they got was the discipline they got from giving the money itself. To get a reward from giving a gift the gift actually has to produce some good. If the gift goes to a place where it does more harm than good than the only reward you will get is the feeling of giving the gift at the time and that will be about all.

We are approaching a time when the two great energies are meeting with each other. I am not going to go into the details of the energies because much of what is good today, people are calling evil. A lot of that which is evil, people are calling good. So even if I were to spell it out in this room there would be much disagreement, people over here would say this good and people over there would say no, this is good.

McCall Gathering, 2007, Part 1

This entry is part 1 of 54 in the series McCall Gathering 2007

The Transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius.

JJ: Let’s see what I am supposed to talk on today… Boating on the Payette Lake (laughter), it’s an odd subject but you know we can make the best of it.

(Then JJ seems to find a piece of paper with the right subject) Oh, here we go. The Transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. It’s interesting that we have quite a few people who come from fundamentalist religions. Larry and Robin are from fundamentalist Baptist type. And several from the Mormon religion – probably about a third of the group here. Anybody from any other fundamentalist religion here?

Audience: Jewish.

JJ: Jewish, are you Jewish?

Audience: yes.

JJ: Oh I did not know that. Oh well that’s really fundamental (laughter). Okay anybody else?

Audience:  Episcopalian

JJ: Were you ever really into it? Annie what’s your background? You were never that religious were you?

Annie: No.

JJ: You don’t really look that religious.

Annie: I was lucky.

JJ:  What’s your background Dan?

Dan: My grandparents were Methodist…

JJ: You look like back in high school you probably were kind of the wild kid on the block?

Dan:  Not really.

Audience: He’s wild now. (Laughter)

JJ: Oh really, he’s wild now not back then. You really look like a mellow guy you know just overall. How about you Marcy?

Marcy: (Inaudible).

JJ: How about you James?

James: Oh yeah I was raised a Baptist and when I was younger then I was Methodist.

JJ: You were never really into it that much were you? Kind of so so. How about you Susi, about the same or what?

Susi: No I was Presbyterian, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist and now I’m not in any.

JJ: It’s interesting that most people that have been into religion look on astrology as being evil. Anything out of the ordinary, any type of psychism, anything that sounds kind of odd, flying saucers or whatever, the old devil,  he’s just behind it all according to the fundamentalist type religion. But it’s interesting that astrology is mentioned quite a bit in the Bible. As a matter of fact, the word Magi used for the three wise men, means a magician or astrologer according to the original language, and they came from the East. Does anyone know why they were able to recognize the signs and the stars of the Messiah?

Audience: Because of the configuration.

JJ: The configuration. But what’s interesting is they learned it form Daniel the prophet, because when Daniel the prophet was taken captive in the Babylon. He was taken to the East and he was the one who taught the Magi. Because Daniel the prophet taught the Magi all about true astrology it was passed down and that’s why the Wise men in the east were looking for the Messiah. Daniel the prophet had taught them to look for the signs of the coming of the Messiah.

So it’s interesting how everything went full circle. And the only ones we know about that really correctly expected him and correctly anticipated him came from the east. The people that were supposed to recognize him – it just went right over their heads. You think that might happen when he comes the next time? How are they expecting him to come next time?

Audience: (Inaudible)

JJ: As a blaze of glory in the sky. How were they expecting him to come last time?

Audience: As a warrior fighter.

JJ: As a blaze of glory in the sky last time. Same thing. They were expecting him to come as a blaze of glory in the sky and the wicked would melt as stubble. That quote is from the Old Testament, not from the new one and they used it right back in the days of Jesus. And they thought that all the Romans were going to be evaporated just like stubble is like being burnt and then God would come and float down from heaven and establish his kingdom. But instead he fooled them. He was born as a little baby and was totally unexpected. The only ones we know for sure that recognize him were the Magi and then there’s a story of an old woman named Anna that wanted to see the Messiah before she died, so this elderly person was expecting it the way it really happened. There’s this old lady and the three Magi were the only ones we know about that anticipated the coming the way it really happened.

Audience: But what about the community that cared for him and his relatives?

JJ: Well there’s really not much mention of the Christ among the Essene writings. They were expecting more the end of the world. They were like retreating from the normal world. There were kind of like the cults today – they retreat to the mountain top for Jesus to show up, and scoop them to heaven. Well they moved into caves and hid out expecting the end of the world to come.

They had reasonable amount of light on a number of areas, but they were not entirely right either on a lot of stuff, but they did have a lot of teachings and buried them and a lot of them resurfaced which shed some additional light. But it’s not the type of light the Christian world was waiting for. They thought maybe these writings would show more proof of regular Christianity and what they got was what a lot of Christians would call heresy in the Essene writings. They have some good materials in them but a lot of them were expecting the end of the world.

As a matter of fact, almost everybody at that time was expecting the end of the world. Had you read world history very much you’d see that until the past hundred years, the world was a very tough place to live in. Expecting the end of the world was a natural inclination, because it would be really nice to escape the dreary world that they were in up until just recently. A lot of people think we live in the worst situation in world history right now. What do you think about that Larry?

Larry : They’re deceived.

JJ: Yeah they are aren’t they? People need to study history so they get a clear picture. I was just reading about Martin Luther. They roasted alive and tortured many associates of Martin Luther for heresy and this really upset him. Then when Martin Luther got a little power, well he did the same thing to people that disagreed with him. And it was typical. I was reading about one guy they roasted they didn’t like. They roasted him slowly, and then they lifted him up away from the fire so he would heal a little bit so he would not quite die and then they would roast him some more, then lift him up, roast him some more. They did all kinds of stuff like that.

They were very creative about taking the heretics and make them suffer just the maximum amount they could suffer. They believed it was wrong to shed blood. Because you know Jesus taught he who kills with a sword shall be killed with a sword. So they interpreted as “well we should not really shed their blood, but by George we could surely roast those guys!” (Laughter)

And that’s why they burned everybody at the stake. This act didn’t shed blood so they thought that was fine. And they called it auto da fé. That was the Spanish term for it, which meant act of faith. It was an act of faith to be able to take these heretics and torture them until they would admit that they were wrong. They thought they were really pleasing Jesus.

And even some of the great names in history, like Sir Thomas Moore participated. He had a torturing rack in his basement. They would have some guy being tortured in his basement and up above the he would be eating dinner with his family. You can just see him saying, “….kids eat your porridge but don’t worry about that guy growling down in the basement… He’s just got a fire in his belly, and just he’ll confess pretty soon.” Can you imagine that? Having that torturing rack in your basement.

Now some people think Sir Thomas Moore is now a master, but I really had my reservation about that after reading he had a torture chamber in his basement. (Laughter) If he’s a master, he really had to pay off a lot of karma between that period and now. It’s kind of sad really.

But what’s another interesting fact is that people look back a few hundred years and they think: Boy if I lived then I would never have owned slaves, I would never have tortured people. I would just stand for what was right. But they don’t realize how powerful the current thought form is. And we don’t also realize that 200 years from now people will look back at us and they’re going to look at us and say: If I lived back then I would never have been in such ignorance. And maybe we in this room are in such a state of ignorance compared to people 200 years from now, that they’re going to look back at us and say : how come they couldn’t see that? How come they could not see that this was the right thing?

So we look back and we condemn our Founding Fathers for not entirely freeing the slaves. We look back in the days of the Roman Empire where they tortured people and fed people to lions and the whole community came out. The whole town came out and cheered everybody on and thought that was wonderful, great entertainment and hardly anyone that was not getting fed to the lions themselves disagreed with it. They thought that was just great fun to watch. They created this chair and heated it up red hot and put a Christian in it and then forced him to sit in it until he fried to death and stuff like that and the whole audience would just cheer him, thinking that was just great! I mean can you imagine us being back there cheering with them?

Maybe we were. It’s pretty dangerous to look back. Jesus said, judge not lest ye be judged. In other words, when we judge we have to be careful on how we judge, because it can come back to haunt us. So people look back and say “I would never have owned a slave, I am above that”. Well maybe you are now because maybe it’s just the way you are programmed now to think that way. But you were programmed differently then. Can you escape your program? Are you able to lift above what the beast today has programmed you to think?

Facts on Fukushima

May 21, 2017

Facts on Fukushima

A reader posted an article sounding alarm that traces of cesium 134 have been found on the west coast of the United States linked to the Fukushima disaster. To this I responded:

This article is trying to create alarm where absolutely no alarm is called for. It says it has found radiation from cesium 134 in samples from the Oregon coast measured around 0.3 becquerels per cubic meter. Researchers in both the US and Canada said the recently detected radiation levels were extremely low and pose “no risk to humans or the environment.”

Extremely low is right. It would make over three cubic meters of water to produce one radioactive atom which would be much less radiation than you would get from holding a brick in your hand or looking at your watch with luminous dials.

The article says there are no safe levels of radiation which is nonsense. We are subjected to radiation every day through normal living and in small doses that some argue they are beneficial.

Here is what Snopes says about the salmon in the story.

“To be sure, the Fukushima disaster was a worldwide environmental catastrophe with global effects. The presence of a single North American salmon with trace levels of cesium-134, undoubtedly the result of the Fukushima event, will nevertheless have a barely negligible — let alone catastrophic — effect on public health.

LINK

To this the reader responded insisting there is a problem – that Fukushima is spilling its 500,000 year half-life lethal-level radiation into the Pacific.

We have to deal with the facts here my friend, not our feelings or alarm from others that has no foundation.

First, there is nothing released from any nuclear reactor that has a half-life of 500,000 years. Plutonium has a half-life of about 24,000 years and radiation from that poses no problem. Radiation from elements with a long half-life is not that dangerous. A while back, Bernard Cohen, a nuclear physicist volunteered to ingest some to demonstrate it was no more harmful than caffeine.

The second fact is that there were no deaths related to radioactivity from the Fukushima disaster. In addition Wikipedia says this concerning other effects:

“There have been no observed or expected deterministic effects. In pregnancies, there has been no expected increase in spontaneous abortions, miscarriages, perinatal mortality, birth defects, or cognitive impairment. Finally, there was no expected discernible increase in heritable disease or discernible radiation-related increases in any cancers, with the possible exception of thyroid cancer.”

A threat to the thyroid from iodine no longer exists, as its half-life was only eight days.

The Japanese have been carefully monitoring any possible radioactivity in fish and food in the area and radioactivity poses no present danger.

There are three major radioactive elements released that are of concern. The first and most serious is Iodine-131 which has a half-life of only eight days. That has spent itself out long ago so the danger there is long passed. The second cesium-134 which has a half-life of about two years. This means that around 87% of its danger has now passed and will too become negligible soon. The third is cesium-137 which has a half-life of 30 years.

There are traces of cesium-137 in all our oceans caused by the testing of atomic bombs by the United States and the Soviet Union decades ago. This is of little concern as the amount is thousands of times lower than that required for any health risk. Any additional amounts of cesium-137 and cesium-134 linked to the Fukushima disaster is so small as to have about zero effect.

The main negative health effect from Fukushima was the displacement of citizens who lived near the reactor. This was an extreme inconvenience.

Although there were no deaths directly related to radiation from the reactor there were 15,894 deaths, and 2,562 people missing caused by the tsunami itself. It was also the most expensive disaster in history costing around $235 billion. This comparison is often overlooked.

The Fukushima disaster was created by a perfect storm of condition that taught us to not make reactors in areas where a possible tsunami could occur. Even so, the new generation of reactors and those in development are much safer and would not duplicate this problem.

The situation is a little like the history of the railroad. At first the bridges that made were not that safe and a number collapsed. The public was alarmed and, for a time, everyone thought that we should cease expanding our rails because we could not make safe bridges. But we corrected our mistakes in construction and soon the time came that all bridges were sound and safe.

We are at that point with atomic refactors. The newest ones are very safe and those under development will be even more secure. This should be good news for those concerned with CO2 emissions, for nuclear energy is responsible or more carbon free energy than any other source and it is not intrusive and does not clutter up the environment as is wind and solar. In addition it poses no threat to birds.

Excessive regulations and lawsuits by environmentalists is making nuclear expansion difficult in the United States, but fortunately this has not prevented other nations from forging ahead. In 2016 China increased its nuclear generating capacity by a whopping 25%, giving it power to reduce coal consumption and CO2 emissions. In addition it has 20 nuclear reactors under construction.

In the western Hemisphere atomic energy has the record of being the safest form of producing electricity. I have only been able to find one death linked to radiation exposure at a power plant in this hemisphere in the last 60 years.

Instead of worrying about harmless amounts of radiation in our oceans we ought to be concentrating on real problems. A major one is the polluting of our seas with garbage, most insidiously plastic bottles which are very harmful to sea life. It is outrageous that citizens of the world have allowed this to happen.

A second major problem is the dumping of nitrogen and phosphorous into the Mississippi River that drains into the Gulf of Mexico creating a dead zone that is destroying life in the waters. We need to focus more attention on natural methods of food production where no harm is done to the land or the waters.

A third problem is overfishing. This needs more international attention.

Finally a fourth major problem is the pollution of our seas and life therein with mercury, mainly from the burning of coal. This is why I support nuclear, wind and solar as replacements as soon as possible and any coal we do burn should be clean coal which reduces mercury and other emissions.

In conclusion there plenty of things to be concerned about with our oceans and waters, but radiation from Fukushima is not one of them.

Lowering Resistance

June 3, 1999

Lowering Resistance

Question:

Can we enter the path of high resistance and control our words and actions so the resistance we create will not be so dangerous? How can we minimize the danger of high resistance so we do not get thrown to the lions again?

The wrong way to handle high resistance is illustrated almost every night on TV on various crime shows. What happens there is the lead character finds out who the bad guy is and says something like this:

“I was going through the records and discovered that you embezzled a million dollars. I am going to call the police now.”

So what does the bad guy do? He can’t let him call the police so he arranges a suicide for the guy.

If the good guy was smart (which he never is on TV) he would say nothing to the bad guy about his discovery and speak to the police first, not last.

Now here are examples of possible high resistance situations. What would you do to keep resistance low if you were in charge?

(1) You are a member of Congress and are in charge of creating a program that would alter our revenue system and would eliminate the IRS. The people in the IRS are alarmed at the idea and are making subtle threats to audit the dickens out of anyone having a hand in this. How do you lower their resistance, but still get the job done?

(2) You discover your boss is stealing from the company. How would you handle this to avoid your boss getting back at you?

(3) An angel appears to you and tells you to teach the principle of reincarnation to religious people who do not believe in it. How do you lower their resistance so they will listen?

(4) Your company is having a cash flow problem and the only way to make cuts is in wages or let some go. You know that there are about 10% of the employees who are old timers who will have very hurt feelings if you touch their income or let them go. How do you handle this?

(5) You have a lover who is not working out for you and have decided you must let him/her go even though he/she still loves you. You know that he/she will be extremely upset and resistant. How do you lower resistance here?

Some may say that pure love (or some type of enlightenment)eliminates resistance but nothing you can do will eliminate all resistance in the above. If even Christ, the teacher of us all, was unable to eliminate resistance, what makes us think we can?

Fortunately with the help of the incoming Aquarian energies we can lower resistance to a manageable level. This will be an important goal of the current group of servers.

June 6, 1999

The Two Flows

The first question to ask is what is the common thread that runs through the four situations?

Answer: All these situations bring high resistance because change for the better is on the horizon. Those who are stuck in the path of least resistance are afraid of positive change and resist it, especially if it directly affects them.

The key to solving these situations is to make the change as harmless as possible to those who have power to create problems.

The greatest problem here is the individual employees and hierarchy of the IRS who would be afraid of losing their jobs and position. This reaction is no different than any other group of people trying to make a living. Therefore, even though it may cause some temporary expense, the employees should be guaranteed a safe transition into new careers with similar positions and pay. If their change is minimal their resistance will be minimal.

(2) You discover your boss is stealing from the company. How would you handle this to avoid your boss getting back at you?

Several of you gave good answers on this such as going to the boss’s superior and being as anonymous as possible. One thing you wouldn’t want to do is threaten him directly, unless you enjoy high resistance.

(3) An angel appears to you and tells you to teach the principle of reincarnation to religious people who do not believe in it. How do you lower their resistance so they will listen?

Remember, resistance is caused by the threat of change? Accepting reincarnation would be a bigger change than they could accept. Therefore, go first among the group as a teacher of doctrine they already believe in but shed additional light for them and gain their trust. Then after you gain their trust take them step-by-step into higher knowledge.

(4) Your company is having a cash flow problem and the only way to make cuts is in wages. You can let some people go or cut wages. You know that there are about 10% of the employees who are old timers who will have very hurt feelings if you touch their income or let them go. How do you handle this?

I would call in these old timers and lay the situation before them and let them have some input as to how to solve the problem. Make them be a part of the solution and arrange things so they will not have a sudden change of income or status.

(5) You have a lover who is not working out for you and have decided you must let him/her go even though he/she still loves you. You know that he/she will be extremely upset and resistant. How do you lower resistance here?

The best answer here is to avoid the situation to begin with. Be extremely careful as to who you choose for romantic relationships. If you ever have to break it off with someone who wants to continue, you are in for high resistance and there is nothing you can do about it. Just prepare yourself to deal with the worst for not even gentleness and kindness are much good here.

The thing you don’t want to do is break it off in steps as this prolongs the painful situation. End it as quickly as possible using gentle words.

I was asked for a better understanding of the two paths. Perhaps this will help. The path of high resistance is not exactly going against the flow because there are two flows. One we could call the material flow and the other the spiritual. Because most people go with the material flow the one who goes with the spiritual flow goes against the grain of 99% of the people in one way or another.

As the ego begins incarnation as a human he goes with the material flow as a leaf is carried in a stream of water. He seems to have free will but from a higher point of view he goes with the material flow, puts up no resistance and is predictable.

He even goes with this flow astrologically and from life to life goes clockwise through the zodiac. As he senses the higher energies and becomes a disciple he goes against the regular flow and in a reverse direction with a new flow. He then progresses counterclockwise through the astrological cycle.

When the disciple goes in the direction of the spiritual energies he will begin to encounter high resistance as he continues motion in the material sphere. He will be like a fish swimming upstream in the material, but downstream in the spiritual.

This has made it very difficult for initiates to concretize their plans in the physical. As it often happens, the plans from the realm of Spirit are materialized by those who are on the path of least resistance and are often far from the original vision of the disciple.

Consider Jesus, for example. When He was crucified He only had two hundred followers. But then after He and the apostles were removed from the scene those who followed the path of least resistance finally built the church and gave it form and success, but did not externalize the vision of the Master.

Long before one has fully entered the path of high resistance he senses the higher energies and experiments with them. He gets burned and discouraged a few times, but always tries again and again until the high resistance of the material world no longer has any effect on him for the rewards of the spiritual energies become far more attractive than the material.

“Thoughts are things and a small drop of ink produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think.” Lord Byron.

Self Love

May 19, 2017

Self Love

Here was a recent quote:

“Without duality there can be no love. There can be no love unless there is two or more of something. One of the great purposes that God created the universe was so love could become manifest. If God had not created us there would be nothing to love.”

A reader disagreed with this mentioning the importance of self-love. So does love of self mean that duality is not necessary for love to exist? Could God have just not created anything and been happy with self-love for all eternity?

Would it shock you if I told you that there is no such thing as self-love? It doesn’t exist because love is only manifest in a relationship involving two or more.

Love is a divine impulse, and to manifest an entity has to serve, assist and provide benefit for another person, group or humanity itself.

We manifest this love, not by trying to love oneself, but by forgetting self as expressed by Jesus:

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” Matt 16:25

If we can’t really love ourselves then what is happening inside the person who says he does love himself?

Generally what is called self-love is merely self-acceptance. It is difficult to love and serve another person if one loathes himself. Those who love the most are those who live up to the highest they know and accept themselves even though they are not perfect.

Now when speak of self here I am talking about the conscious entity within the form. It is possible to have a lower aspect of love toward parts of yourself but for this to happen one must see himself as not one being but one composed of several parts. Some of these parts include the body, the emotional self, the thinking self and the personality.

It is possible to have a lower aspect of love toward your body. Maybe a person thinks he is great looking and loves the way his body serves him. Maybe he thinks he has he greatest personality on the planet.

This aspect of love can only surface when one sees himself as more than one. One part of his makeup can express an aspect of love toward another part.

But if the person sees himself as a united whole then the parts are accepted but the love is then directed toward others. The disciple loses his life, or thoughts of self-love, and directs this aspect of God toward service to others. He realizes that in serving others with whom he has relationship that he is also serving himself. When this principle is understood he can then forget self because self is part of the group that will be taken care of through the spreading of love.

One of the problems with understanding love is that there are several levels. The highest level that can be comprehended by most is the love that emanates from our spiritual self, called by many the soul or higher self. This love energy is then reflected down in mortal life through our mental and emotional selves.

The emotional self distorts everything that is divine and interprets love in selfish terms. Its idea of love lies in possession and what the other can do for him, whereas the love of the soul is directed toward service rather than being served.

True expression of love then requires a forgetting of self and a focusing on serving the greatest number possible while producing the greatest benefit.

When the disciple focuses in this direction he finds that he has not lost himself, but has found himself and received much more self benefit than he did when he placed his attention on serving self.

Does Like Attract Like?

May 17, 2017

Does Like Attract Like?

In my Facebook wanderings I came across this question:

“People keep saying that “like attracts like,” and even calling it “scientific.” In science, generally, it appears opposites attract seeking neutrality. Magnets. Electrons and protons. Etc.

“Someone mind explaining this principle or how the two seemingly incongruent ideas actually do fit together?”

Actually opposites do not attract in science, but the forces created by opposing poles do seek balance just as happens among us humans.

Let us look at opposites in science. The foundation of physical creation is the atom. The atom consists of positively charged protons and neutral neutrons at the center. Around this nucleus circles negatively charged electrons. Here we see that like gathers to like for an atom with many protons will have them all gathered together at the center with the electrons keeping a far distance away.

That distance is very significant. If the proton in the center of a hydrogen atom were the size of a soccer ball the electron would be a small pebble over four miles away. One can certainly make the case that the negative particle is keeping its distance from the positive.

Now in the creation of molecules you have atoms seeking balance and bonding with each other to balance off their excess charge. This follows the principle that nature abhors a vacuum more than opposites attract.

In creation there exists matter with two different charges. If we consider our matter as positive then anti matter would be negative. If they come into contact with each other they will destroy each other and return to pure energy.

Scientists consider it a flip of the coin that this universe wound up being created of positive matter. It could have just as well be formed of anti matter, but it had to be one or the other because they cannot exist side by side.

What seems to be a contradiction is the magnet. The positive pole of a magnet is attracted to the negative of a second magnet.

What is overlooked is the poles in the magnet itself. In a bar magnet you will have the negative pole on one end and the positive on the other. This would not be the case if they were attracted to each other. If the positive was attracted to the negative then the forces would merge in the center. Instead, the polarities are at the two ends because they repel each other.

The same principle is at work with the magnetic poles of the planet. One is near the North Pole and the other near the South Pole. If the negative and positive were attracted to each other they would be merging at the center of the planet and not be at opposite ends.

The reason the positive pole of a magnet is attracted to the negative pole of another magnet has more to do with balancing forces than opposites attracting. This appears like an exception to the rule but it is not.

In nature then like attracts like, but there is a weaker attraction to the opposites. The proton is willing to live side by side with another proton, but it also seeks an association with its opposite, the electron. However it keeps its distance from its opposite so balance can occur.

Human roughly follow the same patterns as nature. Like attracts like. Those with similar beliefs and interests like to gather together. Often a lack a similarity brings great opposition as is now happening between Democrats and Republicans. However we don’t mind the existence of opposition, but we like to keep our distance from them.

Like two magnets men and women, who seem to be opposites, like to join together, but they are more like atoms seeking balance than protons and electrons. We both have male and female energies within us and the males with an excess of positive seek to unite with a female who uses that excess for balance and supplies her own excess of the other energy to balance the male. Among gays one will play the female role and the other the male.

Overall the correspondence between humans and nature is an amazing thing to examine.

The Principle of Forgiveness

May 31, 1999

The Principle of Forgiveness

A reader asked me if there was a principle behind forgiveness.

There is indeed a principle of forgiveness, but it has much more to do with a person’s relationship with his own soul than good or evil or a decree from God.

When one person does not forgive another person he or she will carry a grievance, a bitter feeling, toward that other person. He needs to do whatever is necessary to diffuse that feeling and replace it with love and acceptance.

One of the best ways to accomplish this is to communicate with the person who produced the grievance and tell him how you feel. It is amazing how such an honest communication diffuses negativity and brings forgiveness.

On the other hand, if you are concerned that you need forgiveness from someone else then go to him and tell him how you feel. Oftentimes an honest communication will reveal that there is nothing to forgive.

As far as forgiveness from God Goes, God has no grievance against you or anyone else so no forgiveness is necessary there. It is true that we often need to forgive ourselves. Sometimes this step is the most difficult of all.

As far as karma goes this is a law that applies to the principle of justice. Justice is a principle of action and reaction whereas forgiveness always involves feelings.

Even if a person is in a state of complete forgiveness, or complete peace of mind, he is still subject to the laws of karma, or cause and effect.

For instance if you misstep and fall down some stairs this is a result of your not playing along wisely with cause and effect created by gravity. No matter how much forgiveness you have been given you still have to watch out for this law because cause and effect and forgiveness have little to do with each other.

In fact about a month ago as I was getting ready to go upstairs and go to bed I had all the lights off and got turned around and took a step on the stairs going down instead of the ones going up. I assure you that even though I am a fairly enlightened fellow with a forgiving heart that I found myself fully subject to this law and fell down a flight of stairs. I was lucky. I had sprains and bruises, but nothing was broken. Even now my right arm is returning to normal strength, but for a while I had difficulty in even writing my daily posts to you.

Karma is like this. If we set causes in motion the effects come back to us. If we have sent forth destructive causes in times past, in a way this is like borrowing money from a bank. We have to pay it back and we wish we didn’t have to. The key of wisdom here is to not wait until the bank comes after us for payment, but to pay off the debt so interest will not accumulate. With negative karma the best way to do this is through service. The more you serve the more negative karma is paid off. If you perform a service like enter a burning building and rescue a child then you make a giant deposit.

Now don’t forget that there is also positive karma. Good people will have a lot of this in the bank and if we listen to our souls we will know the appropriate time to cash in on it. I know a lot of you will just want to reinvest it so the good will continue to multiply and benefit the world.

A reader responded by saying that many keep forgiving but find no results or relief and that forgiving dissolves karma.

If they find no results or relief then the forgiveness is an illusion that must be uncovered. True forgiveness always brings results and relief. In order to forgive you must first feel that someone has wronged you. If you truly let go of this feeling or resolve it there will be results of a positive nature even if the wrong was an illusion.

Karma is effects that are waiting to materialize because a cause has placed energy into motion.

If you therefore claim to live in a world where there is no effect that is good or evil, pleasant or unpleasant, blissful or painful, hot or cold, light or dark, I would say you are in a place that is different than that occupied by anyone I have ever met or could meet.

If you stick your hand in boiling water that by all practical standards the effect would be an evil, negative, painful unpleasant thing. This is a judgment that most people I know would make and such a judgment certainly needs no forgiveness.

Feelings, thought, preprogramming and other influences cause action. You can make your future more positive by changing your feelings, but karma has to do with causes from the past and you cannot change that. The best we can do with energy set in motion (effect), is to direct it wisely. (Take your hand out of the burning water immediately).

Karma, and cause and effect are dualities.

Without duality there can be no love. There can be no love unless there is two of something. One of the great purposes that God created the universe was so love could become manifest. If God had not created us there would be nothing to love. What would a point outside of time and space love?

Thought is not an IS. Thought is part of BECOMING and thus created action and reaction.

To this the reader responded that our judgment creates duality.

This may have a grain of truth to it in the formless worlds. But we are not there. We are here and thought and actuality are not one in this reality. In this universe thought and actuality are separated by time. I may think of getting a new car but before I actually get it I must pass through the separation of time and some effort. If you can think of a new car and have one materialize immediately then you could say that thought and actuality are one.

Karma exists whether you are one with love or separated from love. Love does not negate the energies of the universe but is one of those energies.

Judgement is more a thinking process than feeling – it is a power to discern.

Love as human beings understand it can only manifest through “becoming” in the world of duality. Where there is no duality there is no power of attraction for there is nothing to be attracted to. Where there is no attraction there is no love. If we want to manifest love we need to make the best of the world in which we find ourselves.

Some go so far as to disagree with my remark that we are subject to gravity and we must deal with it wisely or suffer negative effects. I take it then that they have never had a fall or stubbed a toe?

After I fell down the stairs I neutralized the negative effect of gravity by installing a nightlight so the accident would not happen again. Funny thing the danger of falling down the stairs is now gone. There may be some hidden message in my fall but the main one I see for myself is to pay more attention to the outside world. I spend a lot of time inside myself and have to remind myself regularly that there is a world out there of cause and effects so I can avoid accidents.

Many teachers have presented the idea that karma can be easily eliminated, but karma is basically the result of cause and effect and cause and effect are eternal and will always be.

Lessons from High Resistance

June 1, 1999

Lessons from High Resistance

Question: “We have mentioned that there are times when decisions are made on the path of high resistance that may be wrong or even immoral by some standards. Nevertheless, it is a path we must all take sooner or later. How could it be that we can be making bad or wrong choices, yet still be doing the right thing from as higher point of view?”

Here was one interesting answer. “We gain clarity as to where the path really is by stepping off it into ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’ choices, and evaluating the consequences we find as a result.”

Let us pick someone who made some bad decisions while on the path of high resistance. Jane Fonda is a good example here. She protested the war in Vietnam which may have been well and good, but in the eyes of many she came close to treason by visiting North Vietnam and helping the enemy with propaganda. She also experimented with drugs, made several risqué films for the time and delved into unpopular philosophy.

What sets Jane apart from rabble rousers on the path of least resistance (who can also create controversy) is that she pursued her goals with a sincere desire of doing the right thing. In doing so she made many mistakes but also underwent a lot of transformation and growth.

Now, if she had to do it all over again she probably wouldn’t support North Vietnam and has and has a more balanced attitude. I give her this credit even though I disagree with her on numerous issues.

She is also against taking the drugs of her youth and is doing everything in her power to guide her children away from the mistake she made when she was young. Instead she has gone the opposite direction and is an initiate in fitness and health.

She switched from doing sleazy films to serious ones with serious issues that was of benefit to the world.

Her philosophy is becoming more tempered and she is learning a lot through her relationship with Ted Turner. She has suppressed her talents to remain in Turner’s shadow and her soul is trying to guide her toward correction here. The chances are that she will leave Turner and again take the limelight as an initiate. (Note from JJ in 2017: She did leave Turner and is still acting)

Jane’s dropping out of the limelight to be in Turner’s wing illustrates a temptation that besets all initiates and seekers. They are always tempted to set aside their quest of true service for some other worthy cause that neutralizes them.

Overall, Jane is a great example of one who entered the path of high resistance (as a child entering a playground) and created high resistance. Then, in the process of time, she learned many lessons and wound up giving much more to the world than she took from it. Then too she may yet have much more to give in this life and definitely has prepared herself for future lives of service.

She has learned to follow her path despite high resistance and criticism and this is more valuable in many ways than correct knowledge, for it leads to correct knowledge seen through the eyes of understanding.

Our conclusion is then that it is indeed true that a person can and will make many mistakes on the path of high resistance, but the experience gained (if the heart is pure) will lead to a higher vision of the truth.

It is interesting to note that many of the greatest teachers of the human race made many mistakes in their presentations of truth, but the Brotherhood of Light did not correct them. The reason they are not corrected is that the inner teachers realize that when the outward teacher discovers his mistake that an endowment of power and knowledge will come to him and he will eventually have more power to do good than if he was corrected at the time of the mistake. Imperfections in a teacher also force disciples to look back on their own souls when something from the teacher just doesn’t resonate correctly.

Thus I give you just one more reason to not trust me 100%, but if we both trust our souls harmony and agreement can always be reached.

Currently we are passing out of the Age of Pisces into Aquarius. During this Piscean age those who tread the path of high resistance did indeed encounter high resistance and many suffered persecution and death. During this passing age of sacrifice many of the disciples were like young Jane Fondas just blurting out their statement of faith, sometimes without level thinking of effect and repercussions. They have often followed their feelings, right or wrong, and got themselves killed or imprisoned and thus lost their effectiveness in their presentation of truth.

It was appropriate that such things transpired in the passing age, but the plan for the coming age is different. Whereas in the past disciples taught the world through their deaths, in this age disciples (with some exceptions) will teach the world through their lives.

This is why a knowledge of the paths of least and high resistance is so necessary at this time. Through an understanding of the difference in energies as one goes from least to high resistance one may then control the resistance he will create.

Question: Do you think this is true? Can we enter the path of high resistance and control our words and actions so the resistance we create will not be so dangerous? How can we minimize the danger of high resistance so we do not get thrown to the lions again?

Knowledge of the Paths

May 30, 1999

Knowledge of the Paths

Before we proceed with the nine points let me make several comments on the two paths.

We all follow the path of least resistance from time to time. Normally, when we drive to the grocery store we take that same route which has been proven to be most efficient. This is a proven quantity, the path of least resistance, to attaining our destination.

What sets the person apart who is polarized on the path of high resistance is that he or she is willing to break off from the norm and follow the more difficult path when a higher purpose seems to be involved.

Another point is that all choices on the path of high resistance are not necessarily correct or the most moral way to go. Nevertheless the treading of this path will always reveal some higher knowledge and wisdom.

For instance, let us say that Ralph decides to sell everything he has and buy an RV and travel across the country. His coworkers, family, friends and even his minister tries to talk him out of it (resistance), but he does it anyway.

He travels around for a year and concludes he made a mistake and seeks to return to his old job.

Even though this decision did not work out the way he wanted he still exercised the will to follow the resistant path. He will take this valuable will to go against the grain, plus his experience, with him to new and higher endeavors and in many ways this is more important than being right.

A knowledge of these two paths (least and high resistance) is preparation for the great decision we mentioned earlier. In this great decision the two hidden paths become visible to the seeker. They are most commonly called the right and left hand path or the path of light and path of darkness. Life and death are two other names used.

The average person has a vague knowledge of right and wrong, but knows nothing about these two paths. When one becomes a seeker he begins to sense the paths of least and high resistance, but still does not see or understand the great choice. Finally when the seeker becomes a committed disciple and is willing to his full attention on his progression the two paths open up before him.

Only he or she who is willing to give his all for the benefit of the whole, even his life and dreams, will have enough light to choose correctly.

Fortunately for us, several wrong choices do not lead us to the dark path. When we do make choices toward the dark side our soul goes to work and does everything possible to steer us back on course including much pain and suffering to wake us up. To attain the dark path takes as strong of a determination toward self as the path of light does toward the whole. Most of us eventually learn our lessons and choose the right hand path when the day comes. Only a few failures are stubborn enough to pursue the dark path until their destruction becomes assured.

It is an interesting fact that the masses are easily manipulated by the illusions created by the dark ones, but among the highly evolved a very high percentage have discovered their errors and are on the path of light.

DK tells us that “True humility is recognizing your point on the path and acting accordingly.” That’s not an exact quote but relates the general idea.

If I have caused any to re-examine themselves then I am doing my job. The disciple must be on a constant vigil to remind himself to keep his mind “steady in the light,” and his heart full in the love of Christ.

It is good to not get so confident in your light that you forget to examine yourself, but is also necessary to move ahead with confidence that your decisions are made with purity of heart.

It is a good sign to consciously choose life to the highest one can perceive.

The big question for you now is what is your next step? Where does your soul guide you as to the initiating project you should be involved in?

May 31, 1999

The Nine Points

(1) The decision to go to war in Kosovo.

Some may think that going into a difficult war for a seemingly good purpose would be high resistance, but not so in this case. Bill Clinton has such strong personality energy that when he decided that bombing was necessary it became the line of least resistance for NATO nations to follow his lead. Whereas previous Vietnam war protesters think that a war to push back an invader in the Gulf to be a wicked thing, they tend to see a crusading war for an ideal to be a cause to bomb for and eventually to send our best blood into battle.

Clinton strongly desires a positive legacy, and look at the presidents who have good ones. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt – all war presidents – all great presidents. For one wanting a legacy a good quick war may be the line of least resistance. He thought the war would be over in a month, the Serbs refused to cry uncle so the quick war legacy thing is backfiring.

(Note: The War lasted 15 months)

(2) The decision of Bill Gates to create Windows 95 and 98.

Gates followed the path of high resistance in initiating his company and advancing his first operating system, but after that everything was a matter of fine tuning.

“Natural evolution” is the key phrase here. Especially after Windows 3 became a big hit the path to improve it became a path of least resistance. Natural improvements such as Windows 2000, will continue to be the least resistance. However, it may be possible that Gates may decide to take a chance and create an entirely new operating software. Unless he is forced to do such a thing he would be following the path of high resistance. For right now it does make business sense for him to follow the least resistant path, but that could change.

(3) The decision of Steve Jobs to create the Mac.

I am biased toward owning a Mac, but that is not the reason I give Jobs credit for taking the path of high resistance. Steve Jobs already had a successful computer company when he got the idea for the Mac. The path of least resistance would have been to make natural improvements on what he already had. Instead Jobs pursued a dream against the advice of many and alarmed numerous investors.

As time progressed many people began loosing faith in Jobs, especially when his trumped us Lisa computer failed miserably,. The pressure was on to just get out a product that would sell. Jobs did more than that and pushing against high resistance he produced a quantum leap in computer and system technology that is only now being recognized.

(4) The decision to get up and go to work at your regular job Monday morning.

If you don’t have to get up and go to work Monday like some of you lucky ones this would not apply to you. But, if you have a regular job, even if you do not feel like it (like me) it is still the path of least resistance to get up and go to work. For those of us with regular jobs a lot of turmoil and upheaval would follow sleeping until noon on Monday morning.

(5) A decision to tell your boss (who irritates you to no end) to take a flying leap.

If the boss is obnoxious on a daily basis and you are a fairly emotional person the pressure can build within you to eventually tell your boss off. When the boss finally gets to you it may very well be the path of least resistance to let him have it.

I will admit there may be circumstances where it could be the path of high resistance, but this would be the exception. An altruistic motive may make this possible.

(6) A decision made by an unmarried woman in her fifties to get pregnant and raise the kid on her own.

Some would think the answer here would be least resistance because in their judgment this is not a moral thing to do, but basic right and wrong does not determine the path of high resistance. Right or wrong, if the woman’s motive was good and she was willing to buck the system to fulfill it, the path of high resistance is entered. This higher path will reveal to her much wisdom about her choice and she will end up with more wisdom in this area than one who chose the safe path.

(7) The decision by Rosa Parks to not sit in the back of the bus.

It is interesting that there were millions of opportunities for someone to do what Rosa did, but it took someone with the guts to go against the grain to finally stand up for what is right. Now, in this time, we need more Rosa Parks in other areas of life.

(8) The decision by the Republicans to go ahead with impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton

Even though it may have been the right thing to do, the Republicans were following the path of least resistance because there was a lot of pressure on them to follow the direction they took. They received many letters from their voters telling them to stand up to Clinton, plus the Starr Report placed them in a corner where they had to do something or look like total wimps.

Notice that the voting was 100% party line on the Democratic side to not remove Clinton from office and only several Republicans went against their party line. It would have been the path of high resistance for either side to go against his party (as long as the person was doing it for the right reason). This especially applied to the Democrats where none made that choice and followed the low resistant safe path.

(9) Karvorkian’s decision to end the lives of the terminally ill.

Someone corrected me on this, saying that Kavorkian only provided the tools and situation for the people to end their own lives. Point well taken.

Remember that we are not judging whether Kavorkian is right or wrong, but one thing is clear. He sincerely believes he is doing the right thing and providing a good service. To perform this service he is willing to become one of the most criticized persons in the world and even give his life and liberty for the cause. No one can argue that there is tremendous resistance to his work.

Question: We have mentioned that there are times when decisions are made on the path of high resistance that may be wrong or even immoral by some standards. Nevertheless, it is a path we must all take sooner or later. How could it be that we can be making bad or wrong choices, yet still be doing the right thing from as higher point of view?

Discerning The Two Paths

May 27, 1999

Discerning The Two Paths

Question: How does the popular emphasis on “being” instead of “becoming” distort the vision of many on the three principles of freedom, harmlessness and peace?

John writes:

“You see, if I accept that I am becoming all that I decide to become, but I also realize that I operate always in this eternal moment of now, then I find myself in this moment “being” one who is “becoming”. In this way, I am always going to be being something at any given moment on my way to becoming whatever it is I am becoming. Does this make any sense to anyone out there? JJ. Any help here?”

The original reflection of God, which is you, or more accurately, God’s concept of you, does exist in a state of being beyond time and space. Becoming exists side by side with consciousness and consciousness as we know it is caused by our attention on time and space. Time and space exists in this world and the two planes above us. Becoming as we understand the term is essential in the three worlds of form. Then as we progress beyond these three worlds our becoming takes a higher form. It may not seem like becoming from our point in consciousness, but there is still progression and evolution for becoming has taken on a higher octave.

A state of being is a state of rest. In between lives we achieve “relative being” but there is still progression and therefore becoming. A pure state of being will not be achieved by us for billions of years. And even then it will be a temporary thing. Relative being, or even pure being, is merely a preparation for a greater state of becoming. Therefore even the rest of being is movement toward greater becoming.

We can use a play on words with the “being” concept.

For instance a student attends law school so he can BECOME a lawyer. Then After he graduates he is BEING a lawyer right?

Right. But does this mean that the guy is just being and nothing else?

No. He is BEING a lawyer. This statement implies he is not moving to or moving away from attorneyship, but his title in this area is just “BEING a lawyer.” When we reach a plateau such as this we enter this state of being for a while, but we immediately switch to the next goal. Now he wants to BECOME a good layer. Thus the smart student never leaves the journey of BECOMING and never relaxes to the extent that all he does is “just BE.”

The error I was trying to point out with my question is that many teachers promote the idea that to reach the highest state of evolution me must relax and “just be.” Effort, they say, just gets in the way. We need to just be what we have always been, relax and let whatever happens happen. Whatever is going to happen will happen and by making decisions or an effort to change we just get in the way.

This philosophy does not work in this reality. This illusionary idea may sound pleasing if you do not think about it, but if you do think about it a person would basically have to yield his power of decision to others to follow it.

If we follow some teachers who teach us “just to be” we would be basically going to sleep as far as life goes. We would also relinquish control over life. Thus we give up our freedom to merely be. The freedom to become is alive and well in all of us and must be used to expand our souls.

Following this resting philosophy can delay the progression of the seeker by several lifetimes. This is a definite harm.

Following this philosophy can cause the seeker to enter the peace of stagnation rather than the peace that passes all understanding or the peace of the living waters of becoming.

There are two paths all of us face.

(1) The path of least resistance

(2) The path of high resistance

Notice that neither path is called the path of no resistance. This is because a path of no resistance would be a state of being that is impossible and not desirable for us in this reality.

As all human lives begin their incarnations they blindly tread the path of least resistance. If there are two choices the entity will pick the easy choice or the path of least resistance.

This continues for many lives until soul contact is established. Around this time the person becomes a disciple and switches paths and follows the path of high resistance.

Overcoming resistance increases becoming and growth. Thus the disciple switches from a path of very slow growth by trial and error to accelerated growth by overcoming resistances that were before avoided, but now faced square on.

Contemplate the meaning of these two paths and how they have played out in your life. Do you always seem to take the easy path or does it seem as if you are faced with tough decisions and the result of these decisions seem to upset others beyond what seems reasonable?

Do you think that disciples on path two are often considered troublemakers? Is it any wonder that the authorities of the beast want subjects to just relax and “just be?”

Seeing the Two Paths

Just as the principle of freedom takes the power of discernment through the soul to see in its entirety even so do the two paths take a higher vision to perceive correctly.

One of the reasons for this is that the path of high resistance is closely linked to the principle of freedom. He who operates with a degree of knowing in the principle of freedom will often make the hair stand on end of others who are following the path of least resistance. Those offended will often not be able to explain why, they just are.

Jesus was a great example again. He followed the path of high resistance because He made His own decisions based on the highest good. Even though He broke no rules and applied the principle of harmlessness, the majority of the people “felt” that something was wrong with Him. This was because His wave currents were going one direction and the currents of the majority were going the other.

Most of the pioneers of the human race had this same problem. All the Apostles of Jesus except for John were killed. Socrates was forced to commit suicide, Galileo was thrown I prison. George Washington was opposed by a majority of his own colonists who were faithful to the king. Churchill was viewed as a crazy alarmist for warning the world about Hitler for seven lonely years. Lech Walesa was thrown in prison. Joan of Ark was burned at the stake for helping France.

Now the tricky thing is that there are those who are caught up in illusion who think they are a new Christ or George Washington and cause resistant thoughts among the common people with common sense. Such deluded ones are still on the path of least resistance for in their delusion of being a new Washington is the easiest choice. Such a one who proclaims his glory to all merely seeks to satisfy his ego and desire for glamour.

Since I’ve published The Immortal I have had a number of people contact me telling me that in the past they were this great historical personality and claiming that we need to work together. Usually the evidence they give me about this past life is totally unconvincing. They had a couple nebulous signs, and this accompanied with an overactive imagination, made the path of least resistance projecting himself as a famous person, in the past, one who lived a life of high resistance.

A trouble maker who creates disturbance just to get a rise is not following the path of high resistance. Neither is the ordinary criminal who creates disturbance through a harmful path.

The disturbance created because of the path of high resistance is not through any real harm, Instead it is caused by an illusionary perception of harm where harmlessness, change and healing are really taking place.

So the problem in perception is that those in delusion on the path of least resistance and those who are on the constructive path of high resistance are often lumped together in the same category by the masses and seen through the same angel of vision.

It is not a coincidence that the people were given a choice to either free Jesus or Barbaras, a rabble rousing criminal. The people chose the criminal as the one who disturbed them the least.

It is interesting that many teachers of today use the phrase “go with the flow.” As if this is what you will do if you are enlightened. Actually the truth is the opposite. All people do go with the flow for many lifetimes until they wake up to the principle of freedom and decision. At this point they realize they do not have to go with the flow, but there is a different direction they can take.

Eventually the seekers reach that point of great decision that we mentioned earlier. Those who are tempted to take the dark path are those who cannot give up an attachment to the “flow” of personality energies. Those who choose the right hand path are those who tap into and identify with the opposing flow of the spiritual energies.

The energies of the path of high resistance are like the intelligence and energy that builds a sand castle.

The energies of the path of least resistance are like the natural winds, waters and erosion that tear the sand castle down and makes it as if it never was.

The path of least resistance: Circumstances mold the choice.

The path of high resistance: Your decisions mold circumstances (or builds the castle).

I will name several decisions that have been made and I would like you to tell me if they were made through the path of least resistance or high resistance.

(1) The decision to go to war in Kosovo.

(2) The decision of Bill Gates to create Windows 95 and 98.

(3) The decision of Steve Jobs to create the Mac.

(4) The decision to get up and go to work at your regular job Monday morning.

(5) A decision to tell your boss (who irritates you to no end) to take a flying leap.

(6) A decision made by an unmarried woman in the Fifties to get pregnant and raise the kid on her own.

(7) The decision by Rosa Parks to not sit in the back of the bus.

(8) The decision by the Republicans to go ahead with impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton

(9) Karvorkian’s decision to end the lives of the terminally ill.
