It’s been good to be able to follow the list all these years and it’s become a part of my learning experience. Although the main philosophy I follow is the Summum philosophy found here http://www.summum.us/summum.shtml. I would be interested in keysters opinion of this philosophy since it’s the highest principles I know of.

JJ
I have read their original book Summum and consider it one of the best presentations on creation. It is one of the few teachings that deals with principles rather than just rattling off unproven data that cannot be verified.

It’s been some time since I read it but I cannot recall finding anything that was decisively incorrect – some explanations incomplete, however. I’m thinking of reading it again.

It is interesting that the author is not identified.

The group doesn’t seem to have much of a purpose except to present their book with the hope the reader will become enlightened.

Hope you enjoyed The Great White Chief. I read it many years ago and recently came across it again. I noticed that it wasn’t posted anywhere on the internet so I thought I would put it up.

You’ll notice that I will sometimes post or refer to books that make supernatural claims with the idea that they are 100% true. Such books and a good exercise in discernment and can actually assist in soul contact whether they are true or not.

The book Summum also claims to have supernatural origins and is a good one to test the students power of discernment.

The next assignment is to read the book and answer these questions.

Why do you think the writer, who goes by the name of Amen Ra, does not give his real identity?

Do you think he received the book from advanced human beings as he claimed or just wrote the book by himself with perhaps the aid of his soul?

Give something in the book that you believe to be true and also something that you question.

How would you rate this book in comparison to other books that inspired you?

Fun Facts

This entry is part 12 of 34 in the series 2010B

Over the years I have collected an interesting assortment of odd ball stories, articles and unusual information.  I thought I would share a few light-hearted stories with you.
Here is the first one:

Einstein’s Brain
HERE’S WHY EINSTEIN WAS SMARTER THAN US
Researcher Marian Diamond has discovered why Einstein was such a genius. He had 73 percent more of a certain type of brain cell than the average guy.

The University of California anatomy professor studied four slices of the famous physicist’s brain and found that the left portion of Einstein gray matter contained more glial cells, cells which supply nourishment to other brain tissue and handle mundane chores.

“There I was, looking at the brain that came up with the theory of relativity,” said an awestruck Dr. Diamond, who admitted she found the experience “overwhelming.”

Einstein’s brain is owned by a Missouri pathologist who participated in an autopsy on the genius after his death in 1955 at the age of 76. It took Dr. Diamond three years to talk him out of a few chunks of brain tissue for her experiments and six months to study the samples.

Her efforts were rewarded when she discovered differences between Einstein’s brain tissue and the tissue of ordinarily intelligent people.

Diamond said she found 73 percent more glial cells for every neuron cell in the left lobe of Einstein’s brain, Neuron cells are responsible for thinking, while the gliais supply more fundamental needs. She theorizes that the abundance of glial cells explains Einstein’s superintelIigence.

“No one knows how cells think,” she said, “It’s a mystery.”

Diamond has been studying the neuron-glial relationship in rats for years and has found that rats that are stimulated with toys and activities develop more glials for every neuron.

Piggly Wiggly
FOLKS LAUGHED AT THE MAN WHO INVENTED TODAY’S SUPERMARKET
Clarence Saunders put the “super” in supermarket when he invented the self-serve market, but his competitors laughed in his face the day he opened his first Piggly WIggly store in 1916.

Up until then, grocery shoppers told a clerk what they wanted and the clerk gathered all the items. But Saunders had a better idea. He put the groceries on shelves, stuck price tags in front of them and let shoppers pick what they wanted. Then the customers took their groceries to the checkout counter.

“Traditional grocery store owners thought Saunders first store in Memphis, Tenn., was a joke. They prophesied customers would steal him out of business inside a month,” said Melinda Ingram, communications manager for Piggly Wiggly Corp.

“Instead, a week after he opened the store, Saunders had to issue admission tickets.” That’s because Saunders was a public relations genius and he also made sure Piggly Wiggly had lower prices than its competitors.

“Saunders was the first to start a price war, running ads comparing his prices with his old-fashioned competitors,” Ingram said.

“Two months after his first store opened, Saunders had 43 stores.”

Saunders lost his fortune in the stock market during the 1920s. But Ed Matthews, vice president and director of trade relations for Piggly Wiggly, said; “Saunders* store started a revolution in the movement of products from manufacturers to consumers.

“Piggly Wiggly and the invention of Saunders self-service has been described as the most significant change in the buying and selling of goods since the introduction of currency.”

PEOPLE’S HANDS REVEAL WHAT THEY ARE FEALLY THINKING

You can tell what people are thinking by watching their hands, say experts.

“Hands can be a real giveaway to our inner feelings,” said Dr. Vernon Coleman, author of the new book “People Watching.”

“For example, observe the way people shake hands. If they reach out and try to keep their hand on top with the palm facing down, they are trying to dominate.

“When people conceal their palms they are being aggressive and when they have their hands turned upward with the palms in full view they are open and receptive.

“When people put their hands behind their head and lean back, that is a generally aggressive and arrogant sign. They are saying they can expose their bodies to you, but have so much power they don’t need to defend themselves.

“When a man or woman constantly plays with their wedding ring it indicates something is wrong with the relationship. This is especially true if the person talks about their partner at the same time.

“The hands can also pinpoint, a liar. When people stray from the truth they often touch their faces, particularly around the mouth and: the nose.

“Somebody who fiddles with their neckline or puts their hands inside their shirt or blouse is probably not telling you the whole truth. They have something to hide. Putting the hands in the pockets is another way of attempting to hide something.

“But when a man repeatedly touches his tie he is very keen on making a good impression. It is his way of saying he’s really trying.”

Liars sometimes give themselves away by scratching their necks, added Dr. David Lewis, author of “The Secret Language of Success. How to Bead and Use Body Talk.”

“They usually scratch five times – seldom more and rarely less ” he said.

“Some people know their hands can expose their lies, and they try to keep them out of sight in their pockets or behind their backs. But even then they can. subconsciously fiddle with keys or coins ? which shows they are not tolling the truth. “

Another interesting and revealing hand movement is when someone makes a hair grooming gesture, like -running their fingers through their hair. This shows the person is suddenly filled with doubt and doesn’t know what to do next”

People also betray their secret anxieties by holding something in front of them, such as a newspaper or handbag, said Dr. Coleman.

“It can mean that person is receiving unwanted attention from the opposite sex – and is trying to reject these advances by hiding. “

On the other hand, people who put their hands on their hips or their thumbs into their belt loops are trying to make themselves look attractive.”

Excellent Drivers
37% THINK THEY’RE EXCELLENT DRIVERS
Some37 percent of drivers think they are excellent behind the wheel, and 55 percent consider themselves good, reveals a poll of 500 motorists commissioned by Valvoline Oil.

But only 2 percent of drivers feel that other motorists are excellent… and 55 percent think that the other guy is generally a poor-to-fair driver.

Beatles and the Soul

This entry is part 13 of 34 in the series 2010B

Posted May, 27, 2010

Ruth:
Here is another moral to this story:

The one thing JJ really wanted to do, and had his heart set on doing, was going to see the Beatles. Now this may not seem much to some people or even very important to others, but it is, because of the principle behind it.

JJ listened to the Beast of outward authority, rather than follow his heart and mind, or highest that he knew. How many times does this happen to the Aspirant and Disciple? Hundreds of times?

How many times do we doubt the Soul’s authority over the Beast’s?

JJ
I followed my soul’s authority in the decision I did make and would do it again in that same situation. My desire to see the Beatles was from my desire astral body and seeing them would have given my desire body much pleasure. Normally, that is a good thing but the importance of fulfilling desire is not as important as doing your duty or following a true soul impulse.

If any of the words or music could touch my soul it could be done by listening to their music, but seeing them in person was merely a personal desire wish.

On the other hand, there were several other times that I did get in trouble on my mission when I truly did follow my soul and several times my soul guided me toward difficult choices.

The Mystery of Healing

This entry is part 14 of 34 in the series 2010B

Posted May 27, 2010
Justin writes:
I can’t stop wondering: How are we to account for this healing, and other similar instances reported within the Mormon church?

The only possibilities I can come up with are:

1. Your mission president believed he possessed a special “priesthood” power to effect healing, and that belief, although perhaps misguided, was enough to generate the necessary faith.

2. Your pres. was subconsciously using some shamanic-type healing abilities he developed in a prior lifetime.

3. It was due to your own belief, faith, and/or innate ability.

4. It was some combination of the above.

You sometimes hear about these miraculous healings occurring among members of other faiths, but (if faith-promoting rumors are to be believed) Mormons seem to have a disproportionate number of them.

So do Mormon men really have an advantage that other “non-priesthood bearers” do not have, or is it just that they actively acknowledge a power that we all have access to?

JJ
Good observations and questions.  I appreciate the participation from the members for making their comments on this for there were some good ones.

Actually the Mormons do have an advantage when it comes to healing.  Is it because they have magical powers through their priesthood?

Not so much.

What is it then?

Hint… Think of DKs teachings.

And what do DK’s teachings have to do with Mormonism and healing?

Quite a bit actually when you think of his teachings on the seventh ray, ceremonial magic and the Masons.  Joseph Smith borrowed much of the ceremonial magic in the church from the Masons as well as the ancient ceremonies of the Hebrews and early Christians.

Consider the ceremony involved in an LDS healing.

1. Everything has to be done, not by one, but by two or more elders.

2. The elders must have on their person olive oil which has been ceremonially blessed.  This set apart oil is only to be used for healing.

3. Before giving a blessing the oil is placed on the crown of the person’s head and set words are spoken.

4. Administering the oil and giving the blessing are done by two separate elders.

5. All Elders participating lay hands upon the head of the person and one gives the blessing.

6. Set words are uttered and then the spokesman attempts to channel the will of God and gives a blessing of healing.

Compare this to what happens in a regular church.  As someone noted about all that happens is they pray.  Prayer alone rarely brings significant healing.

Sometimes a regular church will announce a special day of fasting and or prayer to heal a member.  This is an elementary ceremony and increases the results.

Then some of the fundamentalist churches have high energy meetings where they repeat elementary mantras, talk in tongues, scream and do theatrics to increase anticipation of results.

This is crude ceremony but is does increase results.

On the other hand, the quiet ceremony of the Mormons is more seventh ray and can produce longer lasting results.

Now the LDS think that any healings done in the church is due to the special power of the Priesthood, or authority from God they think they have a monopoly on.

In truth they experience more healing miracles than others because they have a structured ceremony which raises expectations.

When I was excommunicated in 1978 the authorities thought that they had stripped me of any power of the priesthood.  I personally didn’t think I lost anything, but gained instead.

A short time after this I was asked to give a blessing to a man who has lost his ability to walk.  I thought to myself that this would be a good test to see if one can heal after being stripped of the priesthood.  A friend and I laid our hands on his head and I commanded him to walk.  We removed our hands and he raised himself up and walked.  We saw him a few days later and he was still walking fine.

This and other things later on proved to me that more is involved in healing than recognized church priesthood.

So what caused my miraculous healing?  I was previously given two blessings by others and they did not work.  What was the difference?

Several things.

1. I had more faith in the mission president.  Part of the reason for this extra faith was that he was the highest authority available. It maters not that he was an outward authority.  What matters is the increased expectation which aligns one with the principle of energy following thought.

2. I had reached the end of my rope which created a point of tension.

3. In this point of tension I poured out my soul to god all trough the night.  This again uses the principle of energy following thought and made additional energy available.

4. The mission president had faith and was confident that healing could take place.  This made him a clear channel for the healing energy.

5. When he gave the blessing he said the words I wanted to hear – that I would be healed.  This triggered the healing power.

It is sometimes discouraging that not all attempts result in healing no matter how much faith or confidence one has.  The scripture says that even Jesus could nor heal in his home town where they saw him as just an ordinary guy.

Then sometimes the ill person has karma to pay off and healing would do more harm than good and the soul will not allow it.

Because spiritual healing does not produce consistent results skeptics will ever be able to nurture their doubt.

But anyone who experiences a supernatural healing even once cannot doubt that more than human powers are available to us.

Gathering Attempts

This entry is part 15 of 34 in the series 2010B

Posted May 27, 2010

Ruth Writes:
Joseph Smith failed at his mission and that changed the course of some events or prophecies for the future.

Do you believe that this “failure” of this mission will be an ongoing thing or will it truly come to pass this time around? Is this like the 3 and a half cycle, so this time, Zion will really materialize in our lifetime? This mission has failed 3 times already.

JJ
At the end of each age there is an attempted gathering. Moses was quite successful as far as numbers go but had to destroy the first set a tablets containing the higher law because he discovered the people were reverting back to worshiping the golden calf.  Raising the consciousness was not very successful.

Jesus attempted a gathering and wept outside of Jerusalem because people did not respond.

Joseph attempted a gathering and was mildly successful and then after his death people had the opportunity to establish Zion on their own piece of land in the Utah area.  Instead of Zion they created and authoritarian system resembling the Taliban, even resorting to blood atonement (murder) to keep people in line. The LDS are very ignorant of this period of their own history.

The U.S. Government did the Mormons a favor by forcing them to comply with the laws of the land as Zion was not being created.

The most successful gathering in history has been the one to the America which was not particularly religious in nature but resulted in greater freedoms for the world.

We have about 150 years or so before we are solidly into the age of Aquarius.  Additional gathering attempts will surely be made and hopefully we can have an initial one underway by 2030.

The shift of the age at this time is not only a shift of ages, but ages of ages and if the time were to come that a successful gathering has not been made then mankind could lose much of its civilization it has acquired.

If one disciple fails, another may be available but the substitute could bungle the whole thing worse than the original.  God is limited in helping us because of our free will.

Morya Federation

This entry is part 16 of 34 in the series 2010B

Morya Federation
Posted June 2-3 2010
Wow, that’s quite an application Mindy. If I filled that out I think I would feel like I had already taken a college course.

I notice that donations are made to The University of the Seven Rays. I have heard of them as they have been around for some time. Are the Morya Federation and The University of the Seven Rays one and the same? If so I am wondering the reason for the two names.

A couple more questions. How long have you been a student there?

How large is their organization? Do you know how many teachers are involved?

They seem to be one of the few making a sincere effort to serve and teach esoteric studies. I will be interested in hearing more of their efforts and results.

One thing we try to do here is encourage positive learning yet not interfere even if a student seems bent on joining something very illusionary – like Creme’s organization for instance.

Two positive teachings have been brought up recently: Summum and The Morya Federation. Summum was quite simple and easy to judge whereas The Morya Federation has a lot of depth and one would have to take the course to give a full judgement. From what I see it seems to be the best esoteric school available to the public. I was enrolled in the Arcane School at Lucis trust for a few years and this sounds a lot better organized than they are.

My question to Mindy is this: Does The Morya Federation place any restrictions on students revealing the teachings or discussing what they have learned?

If not I would be interested in any students there that are on the Keys telling us of some of their learning experiences.

It sounds like Larry W is going to take the course. I would think it would be of worth if he kept a concise diary of his time and learning there and shared it with us in installments.

There are a number of sincere schools and teachers out there who follow DK’s teachings. The wise intuitive student can benefit from any of them but there are some limiting ingredients in some of which the student must be aware if he comes across them.

(1) Black and white adherence. This is a similar problem that is in Christian Fundamentalists churches. There they follow and interpret the Bible literally and ay deviation in thinking is condemned. Some Dk teachers have this same problem. They are so strictly into literal interpretation of DK that the intuition is suffocated and the bigger picture is not revealed.

(2) Just s the Christian Fundamentalists do not teach many writings outside of the Bible some DK teachers do not bring in many good teachings that are outside the AAB or HPB related writings.

(3) Some are very left wing politically and expect students to be also, even though DK had the conservative view on many issues such as nuclear energy, willingness to support an essential war, the use of atomic bombs to end WWII, the error of allowing totalitarian regimes in the UN, his attitude on freedom etc.

(4) There are a handful, like Creme’s, that evolve into a cult with beastly authority. These I recommend the student avoid.

The student cannot expect any school to fit his version of perfection, but he can benefit from any of them as long as he sands within his own soul and follows his own intuition over that any any outward teacher. If the student finds himself in a situation where he just does not know and he has a teacher who is an earned authority, he can justify following the teachers words, but then cautiously examine the results.

I see any organization who is making a sincere and effective effort to teach as being complimentary rather than competitive and will encourage each member to follow his or her soul in finding the learning they want wherever it works for them.

It never hurts my feelings when members check out other avenues of learning. If anyone finds anything of worth whether it be a class, a teacher or a book I always encourage them to share it with us.

I may not agree wit everything out there but the sincere student can learn even from teachings with some illusion in them.

If I had to guess as to which school of esoteric wisdom had the most thorough teachings available that remain true to DK I would guess that it is the Seven Rays University and Morya Foundation. My understanding of them is limited though and will be interested in hearing more feedback as it becomes available.

Branches of the Tree of Life

This entry is part 17 of 34 in the series 2010B

Posted June 4, 2010
Alex, who is a member of the Keys s well as an LDS related list in which I have been posting the mission series asks essentially this.

If the Mormon Church is corrupt and many of its teachings are flawed then why would the Spirit or soul give any witness related to it or guide anyone to join it?

This is a good question and is one I expected to receive.

The problem is that there is no person or organization that is perfect. The first lesson the seeker after truth must realize as he seeks an inner verification is that the Spirit never witnesses to infallibility.

Of course, many people who think they received a witness merely received a good emotional feeling about something that sounded good. On the other hand, some do receive an true inner verification from the Spirit through the soul. What they often fail to do, however, is not carefully reflect on just what it was that was that was verified.

The Spirit verifies truth in two major areas.
Direction and true principles

(1) Direction.
There is a path that takes us back to union with God. As we begin the path it is as if we have choices of many branches, like the top of a tree of life. Now even though there are many branches, and some are stronger than others, it is still a true principle that even the smallest and most imperfect among them receive life giving force from the Source. Therefore, if the seeker has a choice of merging with one of the branches or being separate from all branches the Spirit will witness to him that merging with the available branch is desirable.

The religions and churches of the world are the first branches of the Tree of Life.

None of them are perfect and all of them have many flaws and just criticism can be made against them. Even so, they are the kindergartens and elementary schools that take us on the path out of darkness and point us toward light and life.

Many of those reading this have been associated with a church in their past. Consider this question: Did you learn things of value from your association with it? I would guess the answer is yes. My answer is certainly yes, even though I outgrew it and they kicked me out. The church, as imperfect as it is, was the initial source that set me on the quest for the meaning of life and search for truth.

My initial experiences in the church were invaluable.

Therefore, when the seeker, who is not yet connected with a branch leading to greater connections with the Tree of Life, has a choice to hold on to a branch or no branch at all, the spirit will verify to him that he should move forward.

If he seeks it the verification or witness may be to join the LDS, the Catholics, Protestants, Buddhism or any particular school that will just pull him into the system whereas he begins to contemplate the meaning of things.

A person can also receive inner direction on various choices in life such as marriage, career or place of residence. If an inner verification is sought and none is received it means that the partner, career or location will not make much difference to your progression. But sometimes you may need to marry a specific person or follow a certain career and in this case you will receive a witness or verification.

Such verification does not mean that you will have smooth sailing, but it does mean that you will either spiritually benefit yourself or help others progress because of it.

So the spirit therefore gives witness to true direction – a direction that leads the One Path.

(2) True Principles.

The language of the soul is the language of principles. Facts are so relative that rarely is any inner witness relative to them. Instead, on reflection, the seeker will find that an inner witness is related to some principle.

Many people read the Bible and receive an inner verification and then assume that the whole thing is infallible but what is it that was really verified? It could be one or more of a number of things:

That Higher intelligence (God) does exist and there are beings of a higher order that work with us to aid us in our progression.

That there is an inner Christ or God that we can access for guidance.

That supernatural events and miracles are possible.

That there is a higher or spiritual love that we should embrace.

That we should see ourselves as servants willing to give a helping hand to our neighbors.

Now when a seeker reads the Bible or joins a church and receives an inner warm confirmation of any of these principles he is likely to interpret such as confirmation that the whole of the church of the Bible is 100% true and infallible.

The same goes for the LDS church, Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. When a person receives a witness in connection with them it is either connected with direction or some true principle revealed. When I was in the church I never received a witness of the Book of Mormon as a whole but I did receive some powerful witnesses of some of the principles taught.

My first witness happened shortly after I started reading the book and came across this scripture:

“For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round.” I Nephi 10:19

I have applied this teaching throughout my life and it is indeed a true principle.

Another thing that struck a powerful chord with my soul was the teaching that little children do not need baptism to be saved from original sin.

Then, here’s another scripture that registered within:
“But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.” Moroni 7:13

Similarly, there are a number of teachings and experiences of Joseph Smith, despite his imperfections, that call forth an inner witness. One thing that brings forth the Spirit verifying that at least, at that moment, he was in the Spirit was Parley P. Pratt’s account at Liberty Jail:

The incident takes place in Richmond, Missouri, sometime in November of 1838. The Prophet and his associates had been taken prisoner at Far West, Missouri, and were awaiting trial at Richmond in some rough log houses situated near the courthouse.

Six men at a time were chained around the ankles with a long chain that was held to each ankle by a lock. Parley poignantly recounts: “In one of those tedious nights [imprisoned in Richmond in a rough log house] we had lain as if in sleep till the hour of midnight had passed, and our ears and hearts had been pained, while we had listened for hours to the obscene jests, the horrid oaths, the dreadful blasphemies and filthy language of our guards, Colonel Price at their head, as they recounted to each other their deeds of rapine, murder, robbery, etc., which they had committed among the “Mormons” while at Far West and vicinity. They even boasted of defiling by force wives, daughters and virgins, and of shooting or dashing out the brains of men, women and children,

I had listened till I became so disgusted, shocked, horrified, and so filled with the spirit of indignant justice that I could scarcely refrain from rising upon my feet and rebuking the guards; but had said nothing to Joseph, or any one else, although I lay next to him and knew he was awake. On a sudden he arose to his feet, and spoke in a voice of thunder, as the roaring lion, uttering, as near as I can recollect, the following words:

“SILENCE, ye fiends of the infernal pit. In the name of Jesus Christ I rebuke you, and command you to be still; I will not live another minute and bear such language. Cease such talk, or you or I die THIS INSTANT!”

He ceased to speak. He stood erect in terrible majesty. Chained, and without a weapon; calm, unruffled and dignified as an angel, he looked upon the quailing guards, whose weapons were lowered or dropped to the ground; whose knees smote together, and who, shrinking into a corner, or crouching at his feet, begged his pardon, and remained quiet till a change of guards.

I have seen the ministers of justice, clothed in magisterial robes, and criminals arraigned before them, while life was suspended on a breath, in the courts of England; I have witnessed a Congress in solemn session to give laws to nations; I have tried to conceive of kings, of royal courts, of thrones and crowns; and of emperors assembled to decide the fate of kingdoms; but dignity and majesty have I seen but once, as it stood in chains, at midnight, in a dungeon in an obscure village of Missouri.”

Autobiography of Parley P. Pratt, pp. 209-211.
http://www.artbyandrewk.com/majesty.html

The seeker gains valuable knowledge when he realizes that many people of widely differing belief systems have received inner verification of true principles and direction. This is why it is so important to be cautions in making negative judgments of others. Maybe your friend has received an inner direction to follow a path that you consider to be in error, but for him such a path will lead to his next step on the path of liberation. If we are not careful a condemning judgment may prove to be a great error.

Brother Little was an atheist and the inner verification that God exists that he received from reading and praying about the Book of Mormon was a good thing and thus he began treading the path to liberation.

Precarious Future

This entry is part 18 of 34 in the series 2010B

Posted June 6, 2010
Good to hear from you again Blayne. I was just thinking of you the other day wondering if you were still around. Since you are reading some recent keys writings you might want to read some of the local posts I where I did battle with Statesman readers over political issues.

Both you and Maryellen have asked my opinion of recent issues and where we are headed as a country.

As I have said many times specific future events are often impossible to predict because of all the variables. No person who has ever lived has been proven to be right on them consistently. Even the Masters stay away from specific details and rely on the reoccurrence of cycles and evolutionary developments for most of their accurate prophecies.

Right now the economy is certainly in a precarious state. If we had some type of perfect storm occur the economy of the whole world could descend to chaos. If there was just one major event investor fears could be triggered and our economy could sink into a depression much worse than we now have.

If we just continue as is with the tremendous overspending then our economy will continue to sink.

There are two things that give me optimism.

First, at the moment, I do have a sense of well-being and feel no sense of panic for the immediate future. I would interpret this to mean that we yet have some time to set things straight. On the other hand, a powerful unforeseen incident affecting the financial world could change direction quickly.

Secondly, people are waking up to our precarious financial situation and are starting to demand that our representatives be more responsible.

Congress has ultimate power over the budget and if there is a major political shift in the 2010 election solid financial steps could be taken even if Obama wants to continue reckless spending. Such spending could come to a halt.

I would say that we have a 50/50 chance of coming out of this financial situation without having a great depression. A lot depends on the developing power of public consciousness on financial issues. The salvation of heightened public consciousness is racing against the opening of a bottomless pit of financial mismanagement.

Less talked about is freedom. Some of our freedoms may be in more danger than our money. There is also a race against time to prevent many of them from being taken away.

Concerning the oil spill …

Some people think the may be a conspiracy behind it or possible sabotage was involved. I do not believe this is the case, but I do think that there are many who are false environmentalists who seek greater power over our lives who have been waiting for a major event like this to occur. This and other catastrophes will be used by them to increase their foothold of power.

The lights of the earth must also use events like these to the advantage of the country and the world. We can use them as an excuse to develop more nuclear power or to drill in safer areas like ANWR.

The statement is ever true that evil triumphs when good men do nothing. Those pushing us to the edge of disaster press forward with about five times the energy of those who claim to want greater freedom and responsibility. This is somewhat disheartening, but the good news is there is a sleeping giant out there that can be awakened. Let us hope the responsible people of the country can wake up before it is too late.

I’m starting my television show Tuesday where I will be presenting Molecular politics. I’ll post the exact time and link later and members can watch it on the Internet.

A Witness and Signs

This entry is part 19 of 34 in the series 2010B

Posted June 7 & 8, 2010
Alex asks:
Now my question. Can the following scenario happen?

Imagine a man receives a witness and joins the LDS Church. He becomes a priesthood quorum leader. He enjoys sitting in the Presidium. He enjoys his “authority”. He enjoys his “importance” and “importance” of the meetings through which “important” and “inspired” decisions are made. He enjoys that he is special in the eyes of God and a leader of his family. And he is the condition of salvation of his wife and children. He is puffed up with the thought that he is saving people by converting (recruiting) them to LDS. He is proud that he is able to quote BoM easily during the meetings and the audience is impressed…

In short can it be that that hypothetical individuum received the witness just to place him in a niche matching his personality, which will make him feel fulfilled?

JJ
I appreciate John and Harry’s comments on this. Here is my two cents.

Higher intelligence that guides seeking humanity is concerned with one thing when giving a witness, or nudge in any direction. The question is this:

Will the supported choice move the entity forward in his spiritual evolution and thus be a benefit to his group and hopefully the whole of the children of men?

The question concerns not his perfection on the personality level. Most people seeking a witness have many flaws that will continue for lifetimes to come. The important thing is that once a person begins to aspire to the spiritual path that he should not stand still or go backwards but move onward.

Alex Replies:
I might rephrase my question(s) then.

1. Can an “ordinary” person see or know a difference between a sign and a witness? Here is an example (true story): A girl, who has never heard about the LDS, had a dream in which she saw a peculiar church with a spire and an angel figurine on top. Some time later she met missionaries who invited her to their local church (and she never before passed by it). To her greatest surprise the church looked exactly the same as in her dream! As a result she joined the church. Was it a sign or a witness? And who or what could create such a sign?

JJ
Signs like this are usually attributed to God but can come from a number of sources.

First, it could just be a coincidence that she dreamed of a Mormon church just before she saw one in real life.

Secondly it is quite possible she had an inner yearning to belong to something like the church and her inner self gave her the dream in an effort to lead her to the church, which would satisfy her needs.

Thirdly it is possible she has karma connected with the church due to a past life and she is given a sign to lead her to it.

Fourthly it is possible that her soul has determined that the church will teach her lessons on giving herself in service in preparations for future service.

Finally, there is a powerful thoughtform connected with the church created by the accumulation of all the thoughts of all the believers from the beginning. If a person taps into this quite a few apparent signs can manifest.

There are many reasons behind signs people receive. Some signs may lead in the right direction and some do not. Because signs often lead people astray Jesus said: “A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign.”

Some people see a sign and a witness as the same thing. A sign is an outward occurrence and is not a witness. A witness is an inner experience caused by the Spirit through the door of the soul.

Many people have never received a true witness of anything but have received a number of strong emotional feelings that they believe is a witness sent from God. A person cannot tell the difference until he receives a true witness. When this happens the difference will be clear.

The closest non witness experience one can have is the feeling of falling intensely in love and many have not had this. This falling in love experience has to be from both sides of the relationship. A one sided attraction creates a lower emotional feeling.

The falling in love experience opens the door of the soul so the two can look upon the perfect spirit within. This is different than a spiritual witness but is the most common experience that is close to the Spirit.

Any true higher witness is for the purpose of pushing you toward progressing along the path and making you more capable at service to our fellowmen. This often has a group effect but the main design is the expansion of your power to serve.

Question

This entry is part 20 of 34 in the series 2010B

Posted June 7
Martha asks:

What can a single woman do to increase her chances of being with someone? for without that, there is no chance she can be in a molecule.

JJ
You do not have to be married, or with someone to be in a molecule. The male/female partnerships in a molecule are working relationships designed to balance male female energies. If you do not have a good working relationship with a spouse or romantic partner then it would be best to work with someone else. It is essential; that the partners in the molecule have no grievances toward each other.

On the other hand, if a married couple have a good relationship then a molecular partnership is possible.

As to the best way to find a romantic partner there are many good books written on this subject. My advice for a seeker of wisdom is to go places where you may find other seekers. Join study groups and organizations where you will find like-minded souls.

On another issue Dan quoted a post I had written ten years ago about global warming. (see: https://freeread.com/archives/1162.php) It did not sound like many of my recent comments about the subject where I criticize environmentalists for wrong headedness in this area.

It may seem like there is a contradiction between what I said then and what I say now. This is not the case. There has been a shift of emphasis, but not a contradiction.

I have studied up a lot on the subject since I wrote the quoted article and found a lot of deception and dangerous support for legislation that will not only hurt the economy and reduce freedom and hurt even the environment itself and lead to more pollution, not less.

Another point is that ten years ago I was seeking to teach without ruffling feathers on either side of the political spectrum whereas now I am much less concerned about this.

Here is a quote that set the tone for the article:

“The basic problem with this issue is that one side presents evidence that there is global warming but then promotes draconian measures limiting the economy and freedom to prevent it.

“The other side states that the evidence is non-conclusive but then promotes the belief that there is nothing to be concerned about and that we should do nothing unless there is concrete proof.

“In my view neither of these approaches touches on the middle point of truth.”

I haven’t said much on the other side of the global warming equation, but they do have several valid points on their side.

CO2 is a greenhouse gas and it is possible that if enough of it is released that it could produce too much warming or other possible unknown and unforeseen effects.

Where the left has gone wrong is in seeing present time as one in which reducing the burning of fossil fuels is so crucial to the health of the earth that even destroying the economy may be necessary.

Burning fossil fuels will not bring a warming apocalypse in the next couple decades but what is often overlooked by the conservatives is that it does have some warming effect and if we continue burning fossil fuels as a prime source then sooner or later we may get a dangerous amount in the atmosphere. It mat not happen in the next couple decades but a century or two could make a big difference.

It is therefore in our best interests for this and other reasons to find more harmless energy sources. If we do not destroy our economies through bone headed feel good tactics then we should be well on our way to replacing fossil fuels in the next couple decades.

But, if we destroy the economic systems of the free world then we may not develop the needed technology and may wind up relying on fossil fuels for centuries rather than decades.

Thanks for the video on the oil spill solution Blayne. That’s too logical for government bureaucrats. The government is always to slow and ignorant that conspiracy theories always have plenty of room to grow.

It is quite possible though that there are many who do not want an easy solution to this problem, especially if it comes from either Republicans or private enterprise.
