The Speed of Gravity

Alex asked a couple more questions. First he wants to know the speed of gravity in relation to the speed of light.

There are a number of theories on this. Some believe the speed of gravity is instantaneous across the universe but recent experiments indicate that Einstein was correct in that it is approximately he same speed as light.

The Chinese recently applied some tests that indicated the speed of gravity was “between 0.93 to 1.05 times the speed of light with a relative error of about 5 percent, providing the first set of strong evidence showing that gravity travels at the speed of light.”  LINK

This has not convinced some that see the effects of gravity not matching up with the speed of light.

Here is an interesting article that speculates the speed of gravity is much faster than light, perhaps instantaneous.  It is interesting that the argument boils down to a disagreement between the two greatest scientific minds of all time, Einstein and Newton. Newton thought that gravity traveled instantaneously and Einstein theorized it traveled at the speed of light, which he believed to be the ultimate speed allowed in the universe.

After reading both sides I wonder if the effects of gravity may be dual as are subatomic particles. Scientists couldn’t figure out if an electron was a particle or a wave and now they think it is both. Maybe certain ingredients of gravity (perhaps waves) travel at the speed of light and other effects of the field much faster or instantaneous.

Tom Van Flandern in the article noted believes gravity acts something like an anchor pulling on a buoy. The effect of the pull of the anchor is instantaneous but the waves created by the movement of the buoy take time to travel.

I don’t have a revelation on this subject but it is interesting to contemplate. I have contemplated the limitation of the speed of light and feel there is something missing from Einstein’s thinking on this but have not yet pinpointed it. I think it is possible to go faster than light without reaching infinite mass.

Next Alex quotes me: “The Aquarian Gospel was not voice channeled, but Levi entered a state of conscious meditation and read the Akashic records. I personally believe he was 90% accurate or better as he related the life of Jesus.”

Alex: May I ask how a medium is reading Akashic records. I would think that in this meditation state his brain receives input not from his senses, but from the Akashic records “tape”.

If it is the case, then I can easily understand the medium seeing the original scenes, as if it were a video and hearing everything.

But what about transcribing conversations between original personages?

a) Does the medium actually hear them speaking in Hebrew, Latin, etc, then the medium somehow “understands” what they are talking about and interprets in English?

JJ When a medium who usually works on the astral level catches a glimpse of the Akashic records he or she does not read them in sequence but catches bits and pieces. When he then puts them together in his mind they are like kaleidoscope of colored information which makes for interesting dialog but jumbled and not very accurate. This is why a medium will sometimes come up with some startling true information but then be way off the mark on other items.

It takes either a master or a dedicated initiate focusing on the records to transmit them accurately. I personally do not know of any mortal that can do this, though many claim this ability. Levi who received the Aquarian Gospel spent a lot of time in deep meditation to read the records, but today few disciples will dedicate the time necessary to do what he did.

If a person is accurately reading the records he could recall the original language but because he will be unfamiliar with it he will normally concentrate on the meaning that is being conveyed. He will then translate the impressions into his familiar language.

Manipulation of the Free Will

Alex asks: Is manipulation infringement on the free will or not?

Good question. In other words, if you manipulate circumstances so the outcome changes have you infringed on free will? For instance, suppose both you and Bob are up for a promotion and Bob is more qualified. Then you spread an ugly and untrue rumor about him that causes the boss to promote you instead. Have you infringed on Bob’s free will?

The answer is no. The fact is that manipulation changes circumstances and circumstances change for us almost on an hourly basis. There are dozens of things happen to each of us every day that change or manipulate our circumstances.

Even if you take out the trash you are changing the circumstances so no one else in he family is faced with the decision to take it out. If you kiss your spouse you affect his or her circumstances so now she does not decide to initiate the affections because you did it first.

Manipulation by itself is neither good or bad, positive or negative. It is neutral like money and can be used to create a good and or bad depending on the intent and the luck of the initiator.

Instead of taking away free will manipulation increases it because each manipulation presents the one manipulated with additional choices.

Let me give a couple examples.

Brad drives ten boring miles to work everyday. During the drive he is almost in a trance and nothing much happens. The drive is the same every day.

One evening a couple kids siphon most of the gas out of his car. They think it’s funny that Brad will run out of gas on the way to work. Sure enough after about five miles he does run out of gas. Because of this he has to exercise more free will than normal and make some extra decisions. Should he call his wife for help, the AAA or walk to a nearby gas station? He decides to walk to a gas station and a sexy blond sees him and offers him a ride. They hit it off and she invites him to lunch. Now, instead of a boring ride to work all kinds of decisions confront his free will.

The kids thought it was funny that they were manipulating Brad’s circumstances, but they did not alter his free will. Instead, they provided him with additional choices.

If standard manipulation does not take away free will then what does? What does take away free will is an act that attempts to take away the power of decision in a certain area. This is normally accomplished through a government or some authority figure.

Let us suppose you lived in a country where the punishment was death if you even disagreed with your dear leader. Would this interfere with your power of decision to write a letter to the editor stating what you really think?

Yes, in this case free will is restricted and fewer decisions are made.

Let us suppose the fine was $5 if you were caught not having a seat belt. Would this interfere with free will? Only slightly because you could afford to pay $5. But suppose the fine was $1000. Would this interfere?

Yes, even I would buckle up whether I wanted to or not if the fine was that great.

Suppose you were a member of a cult with a prophet leader who you believe speaks for God. He tells you that God wants him to sleep with your wife. You do not want to allow this but feel forced into it because you think it is God’s will. The prophet is using your belief system to restrict your power of choice.

People have boundaries, which, when crossed, will yield their free will. Those who push the people through these boundaries are agents in limiting free will.

Starting a Group

My Friends, Many times readers have asked what they can do to help in the work and in response I have often sated that the best thing a person can do is to start a local group. So far we’ve only had a handful make this attempt and they have found it difficult.

Now it looks like some enterprising individuals on the web have provided a vehicle which will greatly assist in enhancing group activity. The site they created is called meetup.com. I guess it’s been around for over a decade but I just discovered it recently thanks to Lorraine. Actually, now is a good time to use it because it is well seasoned and a lot of people are aware of it.

The reason I am happy to stumble across the site at this time is I am attempting to form a local group here in Boise. We had our first meeting on Feb 20 and just a handful showed up. Since joining Meetup we are getting a lot more interest. I think it will be very helpful.

If you are an enterprising individual you can start up a study class in your area. There are plenty of writings in the archives to provide material for a long time to come. I can also supply teachers with audios of various classes I have given.

If you are interested but nervous you can get your feet wet by attending other spiritually minded classes in your area and check out how they are operating. You will find a lot of them listed at Meetup.com.

The general address for meetup is: http://www.meetup.com/

The address to check out the Keys meetings is: http://www.meetup.com/The-Keys-of-Knowledge/

In the meantime I am going to forthwith include some of my past advice on starting a group;

Now I know that many of you wish the group could be together on a physical level, but there is something within our reach which is just as good. No matter where you live there are seekers out there who are looking for knowledge that you have. When you gather a handful of them and meet on a weekly basis you’ll have as good a camaraderie as we have here. If that idea doesn’t motivate you I don’t know what will.

The great part is you do not have to be a teaching whiz. All you would have to do is throw out a few of the questions we discuss on this list and you’ll have to chase them home. Many will be hungry for more.

QUESTION: Sounds good, but how does an amateur like me get started?

Start with your friends. Most of us know at least a couple people with a metaphysical bent. Call them and tell them you are going to form a study group and study some new teachings you discovered on the Internet and see if they are interested. If you do not know anyone interested in metaphysics you probably need to get out more, but all is not lost. I am always here to support you with ideas.

First, select a place that will accommodate at least a dozen people. There is nothing wrong with starting with a home or apartment.

If your place is small it is quite possible that one of your first students will have a large comfortable home that they would be happy to share.

There are also some places that may allow you to meet on a free basis. Some libraries have rooms for meetings that are either free or very inexpensive. Also check with your bookstores. Some of them will let you have meetings there in hope of selling your group some books. Many restaurants also have free meeting rooms if most of the group order something.

If you have a little money to work with you could find a meeting room connected with a local Motel, YMCA, New Age Center, Judo Club or some other organization and rent it on a weekly basis. If you do this you will need to collect some dues from members so you will not have to bear the whole burden. Once you get ten people or so the expense will not be much of a burden on any one individual.

Once you select a definite meeting place then you must do some promotion.

First let’s cover the what you can do for free.

(1) Many newspapers have sections that are totally free where you can announce on a weekly basis details about any weekly meetings your group may have. Call then up and see what they have available.

(2) Local TV and Cable channels also have places for free announcements. Check them out.

(3) Hold a press conference. Select a place like a room at the local, library and send an announcement to all the media – Newspaper, TV, radio in your area with an announcement that you are forming a local study group based on the book The Immortal about a guy who just may have met John the Revelator. In a typical area you should be able to send out about 20 announcements and get 2-5 responses. There’s a good chance you would get on TV this way.

(4) Print up flyers (or we’ll print them for you) announcing your project and circulate them in book stores, metaphysical centers, health food stores and so on. We’ll work up a master copy for you.

(5) Newspapers love doing features that have something to do with the internet. Call the features editor and tell him or her that you have been participating with a study group on the internet and are going to extend it to the local people. Chat a while with this person and he may want to write about you.

(6) Now you have exhausted the free methods you should spend a few dollars in regular advertising. Check around and see if there are any metaphysical newsletters in your area and run a small ad there. Then run a small display ad in your local newspaper. In addition to this the classifieds in the local free give-away advertisers are often very effective depending on the area and they are often very inexpensive – sometimes just a couple dollars a week.

(7) If you are bold enough to do public speaking let me know and I will give you further advice.

You’ll need a name for the physical group. May I suggest THE SYNTHESIS GROUP (Or Keys of Knowledge).

To synthesize means to gather together various unrelated parts and to put them together into a working whole which wholeness is greater than the sum of the parts.

For instance our discussion group is a synthesis of some of the best people on the internet. https://freeread.com/archives/183.html

Group Dweller

Good quote on the Dweller Ruth from: https://freeread.com/archives/2722.html

Let me add a couple things that may help those having problems with negative forces.

I mentioned the importance of not talking about the negative forces but this must be used with judgment. It is a good thing that Leasel shared her problems with us as she was at her wits end and had to reach out for help.

A mistake that those experiencing a negative attack often make, however, is because it is so consuming to their attention they talk about it a lot to whoever will listen. Because energy follows thought this focus of thought creates a channel for the negativity to flow with greater and greater strength. So, yes, share your problem with those who may be able to help but do not share with those who cannot help unless prompted by your soul.

The principle of energy following thought is illustrated in a story I heard in my younger days in the mission field. In one district there were a couple elders who began experiencing attacks from what seemed to be evil spirits. After this occurred they began sharing their experiences with various members of the church and other missionaries in the district. Pretty soon the attacks and phenomenon seemed to spread like a virus. Other missionaries and members soon had similar trouble. After a time all anyone could talk about were the evil spirits and the scary things they were doing.

Finally, it got so bad that it drew the attention of the mission president. He contacted the missionaries and wisely told them to cease talking about the evil spirits. He told them not to talk about them in meetings, with members or other missionaries. They obeyed and a few weeks later all attacks of the evil spirits subsided and it became as if they did not exist.

The mission president probably had never been taught the principle of energy following thought but he had the correct intuition in following it.

Another thing that can be the cause of negative attacks is guilt. Unresolved guilt can keep the door to negativity open even if you try not to talk or think about the attacks.

There are two things that must be done to resolve guilt. First resolve the problem with the person you may have hurt. If this does not apply then confess your guilt to someone you respect. This principle of confession is used in some churches and it does offer relief.

The nail in the coffin must be struck by identifying the source of guilt. Guilt is caused by allowing some mortal to take the place of the God Within. Release this outside source from having power over you and follow the inner Holy Spirit instead. The inner Spirit does not use guilt to control you but supplies guidance instead.

Attacks

Dan: Seemingly “negative” things happen to everyone and one’s imagination, guilt, and/or desire to be special can make such occurrences seem more personal than they warrant.

JJ Very true. Ruth wants to know your motive with the “desire to be special” comment. I do not see any sinister motive here and do not think we should care about what your motive may be for you made a true statement. Many people take negative things that happen to them and attribute then to demons, Satan or dark brothers for the reasons you gave and more.

Indeed, some people go through sequences of bad luck and because they feel they are special beings they may feel that they are targeted by the devil himself when in reality no one of significance whether he be good or evil is paying much attention to them.

Dan: I have not experienced ANY “supernatural attacks” that I am aware of, nor I suspect have most other keysters.

JJ I think you are correct here. Real attacks are not that common. I have not met many who have given an accurate description of a supernatural attack. Now if we are talking about some type of supernatural experience, good, bad and neutral the percentage is much higher. I would guess that the majority here has had something occur which has been otherworldly.

Stephen’s account which he posted here and personally sent to me is quite interesting and he seems to have made definite supernatural contacts.

It sounds like Leasel and her family may be dealing with a dweller or possibly left over energy from earthbound spirits. Keep your thoughts and prayers headed her direction for they will help.

Dan: I’m just saying REAL attacks are uncommon and rare, thinking you MUST BE under attack (but PROBABLY are not) is most likely/commonplace.

JJ You are correct if you are referring to real attacks by the Dark Brothers toward some individual. The Dark Brothers do attack but they use key people in positions of power to manipulate the people toward their desired ends. All the steps that have been taken recently to reduce our freedoms are part of an assault by them.

On the other hand, many seekers have to deal with some type of influence coming from their Dweller. This can range from fear, guilt or just moving forward – to negativity of tremendous force that can be very nerve wracking to deal with.

The Dweller can be aroused by too much thought directed toward the negative or some type of positive action that may threaten to reduce his power.

One like yourself who has not had a definite supernatural attack may wonder if you are not significant in the work because no one has attacked you. The answer is that this should not concern you. Each seeker has a different cross to bear and different lessons to learn. No two initiates, disciples or aspirants have the same things happen to them but your soul has planned your life in such a way that your learning will have a maximum curve should you follow the lesson plan.

Global Warming

Here’s another letter I wrote to the Idaho Statesman. I would have liked to have said more but am limited to 200 words.

On March 6 you published a disturbing article telling us that Leftists views (approaching religious fever) on global warming will be indoctrinated into our kids minds from the eighth grade on. The weird thing is that one of the organizations promoting this, the National Center for Science Education, claims to oppose “the teaching of religious views as science.” Yet most global warming alarmists approach the subject with faith rather than science often resembling religious fanatics.

For Instance, the earth has not warmed since 1998 yet their faith still tells then the earth has been warming during this period.

Because the facts challenge their faith they changed their preaching to climate change rather than global warming. What challenges their faith though is the climate is always changing no matter what humans do.

Because the logic of skeptics disturbs their faith they have formulated a win win plan. If it gets hotter, its climate change but if it gets colder they are still right. If the weather is dryer it’s climate change but so is more moisture. There is no course the weather or climate can take that will cause them to revise their faith.

Here’s the reference to the article I mentioned; http://www.idahostatesman.com/2013/03/06/2478937/climate-change-poised-to-be-par\t.html

Re: Global Warming

Nathan writes: The Web of Science is a database with articles from a little over 10,000 academic journals. Of that entire database, 13,950 articles can be found on the subject of climate change. Only 23 articles reject global warming or reject global warming as a man-made phenomenon.

JJ I’m surprised they found 23 fitting their criteria which is: “To be classified as rejecting, an article had to clearly and explicitly state that the theory of global warming is false or, as happened in a few cases, that some other process better explains the observed warming.”

Every knowledgeable skeptic including myself would have to side with the majority here. Of course, over the past century there has been warming and man made emissions has been a partial cause. The disagreement isn’t over this technicality but on how much of a cause CO2 is and whether the apocalyptic doctrines they promote are probable. Maybe we should worry more about being hit by an asteroid and concentrate more on preparing for that than global warming. After all, global warming has never destroyed most of the life on earth.

Nathan quoting me: (3) The first great surge of human produced CO2 from 1940 to 1976 mysteriously resulted in global cooling rather than warming.

Nathan: Can you really claim that CO2 correlated with this cooling you speak of, or is it just variability that I mentioned earlier which you’re citing.

JJ I didn’t say it correlated. What I am saying is that the result runs counter to what the global warming alarmists are correlating. It also runs counter to what their computer programs would have predicted.

Nathan quoting me; Since CO2 is a plant fertilizer there are benefits to CO2 emissions such as a greener more productive earth.

Nathan: That seems to be based on the false pretense that plants can absorb an indefinite amount of CO2, which they cannot. The average deciduous tree, for example, absorbs about 50 pounds (highly variable) of CO2 per year, far less than what, say, the average American puts into the atmosphere which is about 4,600 pounds per year.

JJ It is not based on the premise that plants can absorb an infinite amount of CO2. No one is saying that. Plants, as a whole though, can absorb quite a bit more than they do now or even more than in 1900.

Here are a few references for you;

…like carbon dioxide being an essential trace gas that underpins the bulk of the global food web. Estimates vary, but somewhere around 15% seems to be the common number cited for the increase in global food crop yields due to aerial fertilization with increased carbon dioxide since 1950. This increase has both helped avoid a Malthusian disaster and preserved or returned enormous tracts of marginal land as wildlife habitat that would otherwise have had to be put under the plow in an attempt to feed the growing global population. Commercial growers deliberately generate CO2 and increase its levels in agricultural greenhouses to between 700ppmv and 1,000ppmv to increase productivity and improve the water efficiency of food crops far beyond those in the somewhat carbon-starved open atmosphere. CO2 feeds the forests, grows more usable lumber in timber lots meaning there is less pressure to cut old growth or push into “natural” wildlife habitat, makes plants more water efficient helping to beat back the encroaching deserts in Africa and Asia and generally increases bio-productivity. If it’s “pollution,” then it’s pollution the natural world exploits extremely well and to great profit. Doesn’t sound too bad to us. LINK

CO2 acts like fertilizer for trees and plants and also increases their water use efficiency. All trees with more CO2 in their atmosphere are very likely to grow more rapidly. Trees like the high-altitude bristlecone pines, on the margins of both moisture and fertility, are likely to exhibit very strong responses to CO2 enrichment – which was the point of the Graybill and Idso study.atmospheric carbon the higher the concentration of CO2. Unstoppable Global Warming, Every 1,500 Years By S. Fred Singer and Dennis T. Avery, Page 71-72

The Idso analysis also notes that higher CO2 levels act as fertilizer for trees and plants, and that higher CO2 levels also reduce the amount of energy needed by most plant species to conduct a process called photorespiration. So long as temperatures and CO2 are both rising, trees and plants gain vigor with which to exploit warming’s opportunities for range expansion. / The Idsos are widely published on CO2 benefits to plant growth and the phenomenon has been widely studied in dozens of countries because of its importance to crop growth. Their peer-reviewed analysis of forty-two experimental data sets collected by numerous scientists showed that the mean growth enhancement from a 300 parts-per-million increase in atmospheric CO2 rises from almost nil at 10 degrees C to doubled growth at 38 degrees C.24 At higher temperatures, the growth stimulation rises even higher.25 / The importance of CO2 as a fertilizer is endorsed by satellite observations of global vegetation from 1982 to 1999, which found an increase in global plant growth of more than 6 percent. The planet during that period featured slightly increasing rainfall and slightly rising temperatures – but the major change for plants was the rapid increase in atmospheric CO2.26 All of the regions showed positive gains in plant growth – despite the real and imagined environmental stresses that climate warming alarmists have been telling us threaten the world’s plant life. Unstoppable Global Warming, Every 1,500 Years By S. Fred Singer and Dennis T. Avery, Page 83

Higher CO2 levels help all plants, in all environments. Growth increases are temporary only when the CO2 increase is temporary.

Your “source” contains a lot of “ifs” and “maybes” – truth is, all it does is raise conjectures about how growth MAY be limited in some cases.

C4 Plants – True, they have a mechanism for “fixing” carbon dioxide. But the more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the more they can “fix”. Furthermore, the vast majority of the world’s plant biomass is C3, not C4. The only crops that are C4 are corn, sorghum, sugarcane, and millet (with only corn being a major crop). C3 crops include soybeans, all small grains (wheat, barley, oats, rye), and the most important food crop in the world, rice. Additionally, even the C4 plants can be bio-engineered to be C3 plants.

Tropics – While it MAY be true that increased CO2 will be less beneficial in the tropics than in temperate regions, the vast majority of crops are grown in the temperate regions. So this is not an issue. LINK

Rand Paul

Adam Wrote: I sense a very “spirit of 1776” vibe when I hear Rand Paul speak. Passionate but calm, mental, measured energy. I thought yesterday’s filibuster was intensely cool on many levels. He didn’t walk on water, but holding it for 13 hours was rather impressive, no?

JJ I’ve had a good vibe from him since the first time I saw him. I like him much better than his dad and think he will go far.

Adam …Oh, and Lindsay Graham and John McCain showed their true “establishment” colors. These career Washington fixtures just cannot handle anything un-Washingtonly-orthodox. Bunch of tired, stodgy, old mouth breathers. Can they just shut eff up? No one cares what these jackwagons have to say.

JJ Agree. The light of change rarely strikes amidst the Old Guard.

Question on the fate of the universe

Tom When you say God has to let the old universe go…does that mean it will all go back to a point known as the BIG CRUNCH? and no longer expand, but come back on itself and die out…then GOD creates a new universe?

JJ Essentially, yes. The universe will eventually die and matter will return to spirit for billions of years of pralaya. Then a new universe will be born slightly more complex than this one.

Rehash of DK?

Ruth: No I do not agree that much of what JJ teaches is a rehash of DK and others.

JJ I’m glad you see it that way because I have gone out of my way to insure that the teachings I present are not a rehash or merely a rewording of something already presented. I think Larry realizes this and if his point is that many of the components of my teachings have been presented in some form in the past then this is true to a degree. However, probably the only thing I have taught that could be considered a real rehash would be my classes on White Magic which did indeed elaborate on DK’s book.

On the other hand, most of my teachings either present new material or new light on old principles. For instance, the Keys of Knowledge presented in the Immortal series along with other teachings there are not found anywhere else. Then no one wrote about the Molecular Relationship before me. In fact I had to invent the phrase to even intelligently talk about it.

In the Gathering of lights I present the gathering as a principle behind evolution, something no one did before me that I know of.

I was the first, about 40 years ago, to write a whole book proving reincarnation from the scriptures. Since then many others have used my ideas and references.

The Gods of the Bible presents the idea that man and God are one with a thoroughness from the Bible and the Hebrew in a way that has not been done before.

My new book, The Unveiling, gives a totally different interpretation of Revelation that nothing else out there even resembles.

Then, if you go through the archives and pick any article the chances are you will find no other teacher, past or present, saying the same thing. I might add though sometimes I have explained esoteric teachings of the past for the purpose of bringing students up to speed with concepts often discussed in metaphysical circles. These could be considered a rehash though there are not a lot of posts dealing with this.

As far as facts that are used in many of my writings – yes many of them are used by others and where pertinent I reference where they came from. but facts are much different than a picture painted though the grouping of many facts and ideas. Einstein used many facts readily available when he presented the theory of Relativity, but that did not diminish the value of the new picture he presented.

Negating the Beast

Maryellen: Aren’t we all sick of hearing how this one channels Seth or Ramtha or whoever? I got SO sick of hearing everyone say they were channeling someone, it brought me to a place where I couldn’t read another channeled book. Then suddenly JJ’s first book just appeared on my computer screen and I’ve been here ever since.

JJ Fist let me note that I took some time off after the gathering but am now back. We had a great gathering and another fine group of people.

Have you noticed, as Maryellen has, that most of the spiritual teachers of this generation have called upon the authority of the Beast to support their words? Here are some of the ways:

(1) I am channeling this great entity therefore you need to believe my words because they are not mine but are from a Master or great Spirit.

(2) I am the reincarnation of ___ therefore if you reject me you would have rejected ___. You need to believe me without question.

(3) I have been visited by the great being who is ____. Therefore you need to believe me or you will be cursed.

More could probably be listed, but you get the idea.

One of my most important missions is to expose the source and power of the Beast and the means to destroy it. Therefore, the fewer claims I make the better for it gives readers the complete freedom to reject anything I say and not have any guilt from the possibility of offending God or some great being.

Many there are who have merely done a good job of creating writing and claimed to channel someone who was a figment of their imagination or lay claim to an experience that never happened. The writings of The Teaching of the Masters of the Far East is one example. It is said that Spaulding never even wet to India but had a good knowledge of metaphysical principles and wrote them in story form – but instead of stating they were fiction he published them as a true account. This has happened many times and it causes numerous seekers to not question any of the teachings – some of which are not true.

Jesus said the path to the Kingdom of God is narrow and few there be that find it. Few find it because they are distracted by the need for the authority of the Beast. Many want to know for sure if my account of John is 100% true or false so they can either cling to him as a Beast or seek another Beast.

As it is, the acceptance of all the teachings through me are left up to the readers own soul. Progress is slow at present for “few” can handle this path but the numbers will grow during the Aquarian Age.

Re: Negating the Beast

Dean: Well as Ruth references you have said you are the reincarnation of a friend of john, of someone planning Hitler’s assassination.

JJ Stauffenberg was not a person of any spiritual authority and a virtual historical unknown when I made mention of him.

Dean: In your books you make reference to people in the past who you were a reincarnation of that did significant things.

JJ This was in a book of fiction with no authority attached and no historical figure that I was a reincarnation of was even named.

Dean: You have wrote in your book how a great entity of light went into your body and overshadowed you.

JJ Again, this was in a book labeled fiction with no authority attached. It may or may not be true.

Dean: That all the dark forces were attacking you. All this people on the list from reading your book, have taken this all seriously. I can tell by reading the posts.

JJ So dark forces attacking you makes you a beastly figure? Wow. A number of people on the list have recounted a number of attacks. Do you view them the same way???

Dean: And you claiming that you are the disciple of john in your book.

JJ You’re making things up. I make no such claim. Making a statement in a fiction book is not making any claim. The only claim is the actual teachings are true as far as my ability to discern and teach it is concerned.

Dean: I don’t think you are that much different in this way JJ. To the others claiming something. Like at our number 3. lol.

JJ I doubt if anyone but you will be stretching his imagination that much to make such a wild connection.

We covered this subject thoroughly in the past and I do not like to repeat myself so I do not know why you keep bring up your grudge on the way I have presented teachings in the Immortal books. Your grudge is duly noted and yet I proceed on the highest I know.

Fabulous if True

Maryellen: This is SO fabulous if true! And what a great example of the means justifying the end! Hats off to Roberts!!!!!!!

Interesting point of view. Worth the time to read.

http://www.ijreview.com/2012/06/9398-why-chief-justice-roberts-made-the-right-lo\ ng-term-decision-with-obamacare/

JJ It’s not as promising as the article says. He writes:

“His ruling means Congress can’t compel American citizens to purchase anything. Ever. The notion is now officially and forever, unconstitutional. As it should be. Next, he stated that, because Congress doesn’t have the ability to mandate, it must, to fund Obama-care, rely on its power to tax.”

Justice Roberts stated that the Court does not have power to mandate but the Court actually gave no ruling related to this or the Commerce Clause meaning that the whole matter could come up again on this or another illusion.

Einstein Quote?

Francine writes: The professor of a university challenged his students with this question. “Did God create everything that exists?”

A student answered bravely, “Yes, he did”.

The professor then asked, “If God created everything, then he created evil. Since evil exists (as noticed by our own actions), so God is evil.  The student couldn’t respond to that statement causing the professor to conclude that he had “proved” that “belief in God” was a fairy tale, and therefore worthless.

Another student raised his hand and asked the professor, “May I pose a question? ” “Of course” answered the professor.

The young student stood up and asked: “Professor does Cold exists?” The  professor answered, “What kind of question is that?…Of course the  cold exists… haven’t you ever been cold?”

The young student  answered, “In fact sir, Cold does not exist. According to the laws of  Physics, what we consider cold, in fact is the absence of heat. Anything  is able to be studied as long as it transmits energy (heat). Absolute  Zero is the total absence of heat, but cold does not exist. What we have  done is create a term to describe how we feel if we don’t have body  heat or we are not hot.”

“And, does Dark exist?” he continued. The professor answered “Of course”.

This time the student responded, “Again you’re wrong, Sir. Darkness  does not exist either. Darkness is in fact simply the absence of light.  Light can be studied, darkness can not. Darkness cannot be broken down. A  simple ray of light tears the darkness and illuminates the surface  where the light beam finishes. Dark is a term that we humans have  created to describe what happens when there’s lack of light.”

Finally, the student asked the professor, “Sir, does evil exist?” The  professor replied, “Of course it exists, as I mentioned at the  beginning, we see violations, crimes and violence anywhere in the world,  and those things are evil.”

The student responded, “Sir, Evil  does not exist. Just as in the previous cases, Evil is a term which man  has created to describe the result of the absence of God’s presence in  the hearts of man.

After this, the professor bowed down his head, and didn’t answer back.

The young man’s name was Albert Einstein.

JJ I thought this didn’t sound like Einstein talking so I checked it out and it appears to be a creative story merely attributed to Einstein in 2004. Here is a good article on it: http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/religion/a/einstein_god.htm

The article nevertheless does contain some good points for consideration.

A Second Test
As you know a few weeks ago scientists measured some neutrinos going faster than the speed of light. This astonished the scientific world as they thought that such a thing was impossible for a particle to do. They recently conducted some more tests and have received the same confirmation. Now they are beside themselves trying to explain what happened.

To add to this mystery they have measured the speed of neutrinos from the supernova SN1987A, which lies about 168,000 light years from Earth. The result was that photons and neutrinos that traveled such great distance arrived at virtually the same time. Both of them seemed to travel at the speed of light together.

In this latest experiment they didn’t send the neutrinos through space, but through the earth from Cern to the Gran Sasso lab in Italy 450 miles away. Now you would think that going through solid earth would slow them down more than going through space, but instead they sped up.

Now don’t go thinking they greatly exceeded the speed of light for they only arrived 60 billionths of a second early. To draw a comparison – imagine the speed of light being 100 MPH. These neutrinos only exceeded that speed by going 100.002 MPH.

Scientists are coming up with all kinds of theories. The best I have heard is that what we though of as being the ultimate speed a particle could go is incorrect because light going through space is not going through a true vacuum but is slightly slowed down by matter (known and unknown) in space itself. Somehow these neutrinos going through the earth encountered less friction than they would have going through space.

Whatever the case it is great to see real science at work unlike what happens in global warming science. If the Cern people were to use the global warming mindset they would merely say the consensus is the speed of light cannot be broken so this cannot be true; therefore, they are not even going to perform further experiments in this direction.

Re: A Second Test
lwk Actually if the scientists were using the “global warming mindset,” there would probably be a rush to blames a rise in the speed of light on an increase in light emitted by human beings on the planet and a demand to go back to candles which don’t endanger the environmentally correct speed of light. 🙂

JJ Good point Larry. On top of that, people like you and me who are open to the speed of light being broken would be called, “speed of light deniers,” or maybe “Einstein haters.”

Re: A Second Test

Tom: What initiative was Einstein? Had he been a 3rd he would have seen the errors in his idea that nothing can travel faster than light.

JJ A third degree initiate is far from omniscient and infallible. Even the highest of initiates. masters and gods have their limitations and do not see and understand all things. A third degree initiate can dispel illusion provided he has the necessary facts available and focuses his attention on the subject where the illusion resides. For instance, such an initiate may have not placed much attention on global warming because many other matters occupy his mind. Consequently, he doesn’t have a strong opinion one way or another. Finally, something stimulates his interest and he decides to look into it. Once he studies the available data he then unravels the illusion surrounding the subject and hones into the truth of the matter.

I would guess that Einstein was a very savvy second degree. The reason I do not peg him at third degree is that he was agnostic about God and a third degree would have experiences that should have removed all doubt.

I believe that Newton was a third degree as he was a very spiritual scientist and spent much of his life unraveling the mysteries of the works of God.

Letter to Editor
I thought the comparison of global warming scientists to those at Cern was interesting so I wrote a letter to my local paper on the subject. Here it is:

Dear Editor:

If you want to see some real scientists at work who follow the true scientific method then one should follow the scientists at Cern.

Instead of just declaring that traditional science is settled they are approaching even the most orthodox scientific conclusions with a skeptical mind. In two separate experiments now they have dispelled the sacred cow of the speed of light and clocked neutrinos going faster than light.

Even though this turns the laws of physics and Einstein’s theories on their heads they are proceeding with experiments simply because they want to know the truth.

Can you imagine the situation if the politically polarized global warming scientists were to approach the Cern scientists – we’d hear statements like:

“There is powerful consensus that the speed of light cannot be broken so this is a waste of time.”

“You are speed of light deniers and Einstein haters.”

“You guys are like flat-earthers because you will not accept settled science.”

These real Cern scientists have presented strong evidence that the effect of cosmic rays on clouds account for over half the warming in the past century but the flat-earth type global warmers will not even consider the study.

Einstein and God

Not all Jews believe the same. Here was Einstein’s response to some religious questions: Do you believe in God? “I’m not an atheist. I don’t think I can call myself a pantheist. The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn’t know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws.”

Is this a Jewish concept of God? “I am a determinist. I do not believe in free will. Jews believe in free will. They believe that man shapes his own life. I reject that doctrine. In that respect I am not a Jew.”

Is this Spinoza’s God? “I am fascinated by Spinoza’s pantheism, but I admire even more his contribution to modern thought because he is the first philosopher to deal with the soul and body as one, and not two separate things.”

Do you believe in immortality? “No. And one life is enough for me.”

Steve Jobs
I recently finished the biography on Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. It was perhaps the best biography I gave ever read. The only others I can compare with it as being interesting were ones I have read on Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill and Mao. “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” was also very good, but was not written as a biography on Hitler

The book I liked on Mao was called, Mao: The Unknown Story By Jung Chang Jon Halliday. This was good because it was a great story of a tyrant not because Mao was a good guy.

Jobs had the feeling from the time he was young that he would die early so his whole life was a crash course to get as many things done as possible before that event happened.

When it became obvious the end was near he had the foresight to contact one of the best biographical writers and talk him into writing his story. Isaacson thus conducted interviews right up until the end and thus had lots of first hand material from direct interviews. Even so, the reader can tell that he did not use these interviews as a crutch for he obviously interviewed many people associated with Jobs as well as researching everything published about him. There are a few things on which he could have gone into greater detail but overall he did an excellent job. The book reads with the intrigue of a Dan Brown novel.

The big question that this group may have concerning Jobs is, was he an initiate and how advanced?

First, he was definitely an initiate for he never stopped initiating new things right up to the last days of his life.

He initiated the desktop computer and then the mouse and windows type operating system that was used in the Mac and copied by Microsoft. After he was fired from Apple he did not rest but began a cutting edge animation company, Pixar, which initiated new technology that revolutionized children’s movies.

In desperation, as Apple was about to go under, they wooed Jobs back to Apple. He came back and worked for a dollar a year for the first couple years.

The first thing he did when he came back was to trash two thirds of the Apple models to the ash heap of history and start fresh working on new innovating models. Shortly thereafter, they came out with the iMac which finally turned sales around. The next big leap was the ipod which they advertized as “1000 songs in your pocket.” This was an amazing breakthrough when you consider than the competitors could only manage a handful of songs on a portable device.

He didn’t stop there and soon the ipod type gizmos could manage your photos, play movies, take pictures, record movies and on and on.

Then he realized that the life of the ipod would come to an end in a few years and be replaced by a phone with all these abilities built in. He thus switched attention in this direction and created the iphone.

Next was the ipad. When this was introduced critics said it would never sell much because it was so expensive and netbooks was the future, but of course they were wrong.

Near his death he realized that television as we know it was coming to an end and worked on creating a home entertainment system that access all shows produced through the internet on demand and replace cable and satellite systems. Apple will yet reveal his last innovation.

He was a vegetarian throughout his life and experimented with a number of diets including the Mucusless Diet System. Many initiates are vegetarians, especially the first and second degree.

Throughout his life he pondered the mysteries of existence and life after death. Some of his favorite books dealt with metaphysics such as,

Shunryu Suzuki, Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind Paramahansa Yogananda, Autobiography of a Yogi Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism, Chogyam Trungpa’s Be Here Now, Baba Ram Dass

He wasn’t positive there was an afterlife, but hoped there was one. He represented that hope by making Apple products that had no off switch. He hoped that we as humans had no off switch when we died.

He seemed to receive his answer about life after death at the point of his departure. Just before he passed he looked beyond those gathered around him and said three times: OH WOW! After this he died.

It was quite possible that he was entering his third initiation experience with the Angel of the Presence.

Many wonder why he got cancer when he was on a vegetarian diet. There are several reasons that could be.

First, many vegetarian diets are not as healthy as a quality meat eating diet is. He was on numerous diet programs throughout his life rather than sticking to one consistent good one. It’s quite possible he had an overbalance of carbohydrates and starches. It’s also possible that he received too many chemicals that were not removed from vegetables.

One sign that something was wrong with his diet was that people often complained of his body odor. A proper diet should not generate that complaint.

A person can get cancer even with a good diet. Grievance and suppression is a major cause here and Steve suffered great hurt when he was fired from Apple. He seemed to have a real grievance toward John Scully who replaced him. Then watching powerlessly as they degraded his company was too much to bear.

It sounds like Steve was never able to let this and possibly other grievances go until possibly near the end of his life.

These are a few comments not found in standard reviews. I would suggest you go to Amazon, read several reviews and buy the book or audio. You will not be disappointed.

Re: Steve Jobs

Art: I am a little surprised that this autobiography seemed to paint him is such a good light.

I had read that he was notorious for absolutely humiliating his staff for the slightest misstep and was very difficult to work for.

JJ Actually Isaacson painted a whole picture of Jobs warts and all. This is what Steve wanted and gave him full power to write with no power of revision or dictating on his part. Steve said that he probably wouldn’t like parts of the book so he never planned on reading it. Quite a number of times he does come across as a jerk, but no sooner does that happen then you start to like him again and wish you could have met him.

The author does point out how difficult Steve was to work for but also notes how dedicated employees were to him and how many were willing to sacrifice anything to share in the achievements of the work. I liked one section where Isaacson compared Steve Jobs to Moses in the eyes of his admirers.

Ruth: If he was entering his 3rd initiation experience, then this was happening as he physically died?

JJ It would mean he entered the threshold of the Angel of the Presence as he was crossing over.

Ruth Does this mean that the Dweller was the cancer/disease that was killing him,

JJ The Dweller could have aggravated the cancer, but the cancer was not the dweller.

Ruth: and then as he started to pass over, he chose the Angel of the Presence and hence got to pass his 3rd initiation? At death, how would he chose between the Dweller or the Angel?

JJ No one chooses the Dweller. Why would you choose something that is trying to destroy you? You do, however, accept or reject the Angel of the Presence and whatever it was that Steve encountered at death he seemed to embrace it.

Ruth: For example, if he chose the Dweller, he wasn’t choosing life, because he was already nearly dead,

JJ As I said, no one chooses the dweller. Who would choose to hold their hand on a hot stove???

Ruth: so if he chose the Angel of the Presence, he was really choosing the only option which was Life after a physical death, but he would not have realized this as he passed over? It is interesting because I have only read about how one passes the 3rd initiation while still alive.

JJ More often than not the initiations are acknowledged, consummated and understood between lives. When initiations are relived in a certain life this usually happens on the physical plane. All the growth and advancement to achieve initiation must be achieved in the physical. Often (but not always) the actual initiation happens between lives.

What is an Initiate?
Previous post: John C If by “initiate” you mean “invent”…

JJ No. That is a million miles away from what I have taught about initiation.

Many investors have no power to initiate that which they invent. An initiate introduces and secures ideas into public consciousness and use. No one knows who invented the mouse, but Jobs introduced it to public use and consciousness. This is a much more difficult thing to do than to invent a thing. Columbus was not the first to discover America, but he initiated the great exploration. Like they say. Ideas are a dime a dozen, but making something of them is the greater work. I’ll write more on this shortly.

Current Post:

John C Then, this is closer to the definition of “innovation” that I gave in my post. I hope you will write more on this subject. I think there is a lot of misunderstanding about this topic, even though much has already been written about it.

JJ The word “innovation” doesn’t really describe the initiate either. To be an innovator and inventor are two very similar things.

Let me give two examples of innovative thinkers. Ben works for Acme manufacturing and gets an idea that would save six steps in the manufacturing process. He tells his boss about it but he doesn’t see the vision and brushes him off. Ben then goes to the next guy up the ladder but gets chewed out for going over his bosses head.

Ben is frustrated and spends the rest of his days grumbling that no one listens to him.

Chuck goes through the same process with his company and reaches the same dead end. Instead of accepting his fate, one day he puts down his remote and does some thinking. He realizes that there are a lot of companies that could use his innovations. He then sets up a consulting company and contacts numerous other manufacturers that could benefit from his thinking. A handful accept his proposals. Then, after a period of success, many companies, even Acme, make changes proposed by Chuck.

When Ben sees Chuck’s success he feels cheated and thinks to himself that he had these ideas first and no one gives him any credit.

So… is Ben initiating just because he came up with good innovations?

Obviously not. Chuck is the true initiate here because he is the driving force that pushed the ideas into existence.

Most of what Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, or even Einstein introduced was already dreamed up by someone else but these men initiated new products and concepts into the public consciousness that others merely dreamed about.

Perhaps we could define an initiate this way:

An initiate is one who sees a better way and does more than dream about manifesting it but takes the necessary steps to bring it into existence. An initiate is one with true faith as I have previously defined the word.

Here are examples of initiates and non initiates.

Initiate: Columbus discovers America and changes the world.

Non Initiate: A Chinese captain discovers America long before Columbus, but nothing changed.

Initiate: Colonel Sanders has an unique chicken recipe that changes the chicken industry.

Non Initiate: Aunt Martha has an even better recipe but it dies with her.

Initiate: Steve Jobs successfully brings the desktop computers to the market.

Non Initiate: Even before this Steve Nebulous builds his own desktop from spare parts and amuses his friends with it.

Initiate: H. P. Blavatsky writes a book that changes the way many people think.

Non Initiate: Yogi Sahara writes an even better book but he never gets it published and no one reads it or knows that it exists.

Initiate: Sam sees the value in an innovative idea being introduced by an initiate, sees a way to help the idea blossom and lends a helping hand.

Non Initiate: Bart sees the value in an innovative idea being introduced by an initiate and becomes an armchair quarterback and critic.

John C on Steve Jobs: The man was not a saint. Let’s not paint him as such. There were some negative aspects to his personality. But, some of those negatives were also positives.

JJ It’s important to realize that there is a big difference between the public idea of a saint or holy person and a true initiate. Many initiates are not religious or pious at all. Many of them have difficult personalities and are hated by numerous people.

There is a wide variety of people among the aspirants and first and second degree initiates. Some are impossible to live with and have many enemies. Many are seen as being the opposite of spiritual.

The higher initiates have generally worked off the rough edges but remember that even Jesus was hated so much that he was gleefully crucified.

Tom’s Questions
Tom Did Steve Jobs have control and master his emotions in order to pass the 2nd initiation before doing the third?

JJ If he passed the second then he did master his emotions but let me clarify what that means.

First, it does not mean that the initiate is like Spock who has little or no emotion. The initiate will have more powerful emotions than average because all the petals in his sacral center will be unfolded.

The initiate may very well express strong emotion from time to time but the emotion expressed is regulated and decided upon mentally. The most important thing a second degree or higher will do is not make important decisions based on emotion but upon what makes sense from rational or intuitive thinking.

I think it was you that asked about the origin of the giants mentioned in the Bible. I haven’t placed much attention on. Many people think they are a product of angels and humans.

Here are some comments of H P Blavatsky from Isis Unveiled:

According to the claims of the Babylonian priests, corroborated by Eupolemus,*** “the city of Babylon, owes its foundation to those who were saved from the catastrophe of the deluge; they were the giants and they built the tower which is noticed in history.”**** These giants who were great astrologers and had received moreover from their fathers, “the sons of God,” every instruction pertaining to secret matters, instructed the priests in their turn, and left in the temples all the records of the periodical cataclysm that they had witnessed themselves. This is how the high priests came by the knowledge of the great years.

“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. . . . There were giants in the earth in those days,” etc., with this part of the Hindu cosmogony, in the Vedas, which speaks of the descent of the Brahmans. The first Brahman complains of being alone among all his brethren without a wife. Notwithstanding that the Eternal advises him to devote his days solely to the study of the Sacred Knowledge (Veda), the first-born of mankind insists. Provoked at such ingratitude, the eternal gave Brahman a wife of the race of the Daints, or giants, from whom all the Brahmans maternally descend. Thus the entire Hindu priesthood is descended, on the one hand, from the superior spirits (the sons of God), and from Daintany, a daughter of the earthly giants, the primitive men.* “And they bare children to them; the same became mighty men which were of old; men of renown.”** The same is found in the Scandinavian cosmogonical fragment. In the Edda is given the description to Gangler by Har, one of the three informants (Har, Jafuhar, and Tredi) of the first man, called Bur, “the father of Bor, who took for wife Besla, a daughter of the giant Bolthara, of the race of the primitive giants.” The full and interesting narrative may be found in the Prose Edda, sects. 4-8, in Mallett’s Northern Antiquities.** The same groundwork underlies the Grecian fables about the Titans; and may be found in the legend of the Mexicans –

She also claimed to see bones of giants when she was in India.

Re: What is an Initiate?

John C “Saint” was just an expression. I forgot you literally you take things when you want to. By “saint”, here I meant the unbalanced portrayal of only the positive qualities of a person. That’s what I said in my first paragraph that you quoted.

JJ I think I understood you correctly, John. I do not know anyone who thinks of Jobs as a religious holy man. You said, “The man was not a saint. Let’s not paint him as such.”

You were obviously implying that someone here was implying (I do not know who) that Jobs was a very good person who could do no (or little) wrong. That is very close to the religious idea of a saint.

My point was that initiates are far from perfect especially as far as the personality goes and that was an accurate response to your comment.

John C Remember all those numbers Creme and Dewey were placing on initiates? This may be important, but all I am saying is it didn’t interest me then and it doesn’t interest me now.

JJ That’s fine that you are not interested but you are coming across a little preachy here like we shouldn’t be interested either. It is a topic of great interest to many and there is nothing wrong with such interest.

My comments on the possible initiate status of some is a million miles from Cremes. Crème claims to have received his information directly from Christ and I make no such claim to authority but am making an educated guess.

The reason I talked about the possible initiate status of Jobs wasn’t to show my cleverness but to give readers a better idea of what an initiate is and the range of people that fit into this category. Many people think of an initiate as a very good or holy person who exudes love all the time and I wanted to make sure readers understand that many do not come across this way.

John C I can identify much more readily with his technical partner Steve Wozniak. Always two there are: one who is the front man, and the one who works behind the scenes and makes things happen.

JJ Steve collaborated with Wozniak mainly at the beginning. There were many innovations from Apple that Wozniak did not participate in. Wozniak was smart but he had little inclination to take any steps to initiate anything. If Steve did not have Wozniak available he would have found someone else, but any engineer looking for another Jobs would still be looking.

Saint Bernadette

Ruth asked about an apparent miracle of the preservation of Saint Bernadette’s body. Here is the story

JJ The miracle is not as impressive as the links leads one to believe. Apparently her body was preserved beyond the normal decay but still did decay nevertheless and had to be treated with wax to make her look lifelike. this is from Wikipedia:

In 1925, the church exhumed the body for a third time. They took relics, which were sent to Rome. A precise imprint of the face was molded so that the firm of Pierre Imans in Paris could make a wax mask based on the imprints and on some genuine photos. This was common practice for relics in France, as it was feared that the blackish tinge to the face and the sunken eyes and nose would make an unpleasant impression on the public. Imprints of the hands were also taken for the presentation of the body and the making of wax casts. The remains were then placed in a gold and crystal reliquary in the Chapel of Saint Bernadette at the mother house in Nevers. The site is visited by many pilgrims and the body of Saint Bernadette is still shown despite being nearly 130 years old.

Re: What is an Initiate?

Kelly writes: This whole thread on what is an initiate got me rethinking on the subject of disciple and initiate. So to understand correctly, an initiate is necessarily a disciple but not the other way around?

JJ Actually, it is the other way around. A truly committed disciple is one who is near or passed the third initiation and all of them are initiates to some degree. DK identifies seekers who are not disciples as aspirants.

DK told us back in the 1920s there were only a little over 300 disciples on the entire planet. One can only guess how many there are to day but it would not be a large number.

There are a lot of initiates who are not disciples and do not consider themselves being on a spiritual path. What many of these do not realize is that all work that helps humanity evolve and progress is spiritual. There are initiates in science, education, sports, politics and various endeavors not normally seen as spiritual.

Kelly: Is it correct to say that an initiate will be a disciple first and foremost before getting to the stage where he or she actually initiates something?

JJ The first thing on an initiates mind is “What can I do to improve the world or the human condition?”

Kelly: And does an initiate always have to turn out to be a ”popular person” in the press or worldwide?

JJ Good question. It may seem so because when people try and identify initiates usually famous people are named. The reason for this is that initiates that are not famous are generally not known to us and there is no way to name them.

Higher initiates usually make significant accomplishments that garners then some degree of public recognition but many first and second degree initiates are unknown outside of their circle of associates. Many of these are initiating things that does not change the world but does create positive change and improves peoples lives. Some join with other initiates to work on a group endeavor. For instance, I’m sure there were a number of initiates who worked with Steve Jobs.

Kelly: I read something not long ago (I believe it was one of Ruth’s posts) from DK stating that there will also be times where initiates must act behind the stage so to speak and without receiving all that recognition attention i.e.: like Steve Jobs did.

JJ This will sometimes be the case. If a person initiates by working behind the scenes and is truly responsible for creating constructive change then he is of course initiating.

Kelly: And speaking about initiates, how may are there on earth at the present moment? I imagine there can’t be that many since it is a demanding endeavour and a lot of times there must be failures too.

JJ I’d say that there are millions who have passed the first initiation, hundreds of thousands who have passed the second, under 1000 who have passed the third and under 50 in mortality who have passed the fourth.

Re: What is an Initiate?

Tom How many masters have there been that lived on the Earth, in the flesh throughout history of the Earth?

JJ DK names Twelve plus the Christ who work directly with humanity but there are others who work with other kingdoms and projects. The total number is not given. Maybe DK will give more information when he teaches again after 2025. We should prepare a list of questions for him. Of course, when that date arrives there will be many who will claim to speak for the real DK. It will be an interesting process finding the real one.

Einstein was wrong?
Particles can go faster than the speed of light?

Here’s some statements from the archives concerning my thoughts on the speed of light:

6/9/2000 Thank you Samu for your post about exceeding the speed of light. I have always thought this was possible and wrote a while back that Einstein’s theories would be revised after interstellar flight is achieved. Perhaps part of this knowledge will be discovered in the near future.

5/7/2002
Breaking the Speed of Light
Using normal experiments they can’t make things go faster than the speed of light. However, they’ve done some type of subtle experiments with sub-atomic particles that seem to accomplish that but it’s open to interpretation.

When I was using this in reference to the universe I was making the point that the universe seemed to be very evenly expanding and how the speed of light is correspondingly so uniform. I think it’s possible that the uniformity that we have is based on some illusion and that we may discover some principles around this that will open up avenues, making it possible to go faster than the speed of light sometime in the future. Then, of course, there are spiritual principles that can be used whereby we can definitely go faster than the speed of light. But that’s another matter.

Quote from a post made in 1994 Atoms and molecules above the temperature of Absolute Zero does have vibration as do all objects of form. Atoms contain no solid matter and ultimately are created from wavelengths that are in vibration at just below the speed of light. There is other matter created from wavelengths vibrating beyond the speed of light that is beyond our detection.

Removing Barriers
Blayne asked how one can overcome the obstacles to unity. This is an important question – one that we should never put completely to rest.

Emotionally, the two major hurdles are oversensitivity and various glamours. Mentally the basic problem is illusion.

A problem common to both is a overly critical attitude.

The simple solution to these is found in one of my core truisms:

“Follow the highest you know.”

To follow the highest you know the seeker must have a pure heart. A pure heart greatly increases the power of the pilgrim. “My strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure,” said Tennyson.

So, what exactly does it mean to be pure in heart?

We all know that it is a good thing to be pure in heart but rarely has anyone tried to define it. Perhaps it is time to do it.

Here are some of the aspects that should be embraced by a person whose heart is pure:

(1) When such a person voices an intention, that intention is what it appears to be. There is no hidden intention that will cause harm or loss to others. In other words, the intention of the heart is pure, purely what it is expressed to be.

(2) He (or she) attempts to follow the path of harmlessness.

(3) He is honest with himself and others. “To thine own self be true” is the keynote here. You wouldn’t think it would be common for people to lie to themselves but they often do to fulfill the demands of the lower ego.

(4) When error is revealed he will accept the truth and make corrections. This is very difficult for the average person.

(5) He is inclusive rather than exclusive.

(6) He desires to do what is best for the whole rather than putting isolated attention on the part.

(7) He loves his fellowmen and seeks to be of service.

I’m sure this list could be expanded, but this is a good start and takes us the right direction.

A person must be pure in heart to follow the highest he knows for if he is not he will deceive himself and follow some easy deceptive path while lying to himself and assuring himself he is doing the right thing when he is not.

There is no magic bullet to remove the barriers to unity and soul contact but such will take many years and even lifetimes to attain. Even if progress may seem slow at times we must never get discouraged. It is true that sometimes you will be doing your best and it may seem that nothing is happening, but something will be happening.

If you are following the highest you know you will have an inner peace and a general feeling you are headed the right direction. Then at an hour where you may be expecting nothing you will have wonderful experiences that will renew your faith and bring joy to your heart because you will know that all your effort has not been in vain.

The two major problems of glamour and illusion are extremely difficult obstacles to unity. One of the major reasons is that the seeker who is under bondage to them will usually not feel they affect him.

The Course in Miracles tells us to recognize the problem so it can be solved. Illusion and glamour often go unrecognized and often goes for lifetimes unrecognized in the life of the aspirant.

If I had to give one key to removing barriers to unity and soul contact it would have to be centered around this quote from Socrates:

“A life unexamined, is not worth living.”

The disciple must constantly examine himself or he will never find the necessary problems to solve. At the end of each day (and often in the middle) he should ask questions such as:

(1) What flaws do I have that I am not seeing?

(2) How can I correct them?

(3) Do the various criticisms of me from my friends and associates have any merit? If not – why are they criticizing me?

(4) What are my blind spots?

(5) Am I keeping my ego in check?

(6) Do others think I have an air of superiority? If so, why?

(7) What are some foundation beliefs that have been planted in me that could be creating illusion? Are these beliefs accepted by me as being true because I am not examining them in the light of day or would they just be difficult for me to change?

One must never cease questioning. One cannot truly examine his life without asking lots of them.

It would be nice if a teacher could just say, “Do A, B & C and then you will have sufficient soul contact,” but such is not the case. The path is long and the trek strenuous but in the end the disciple would have it no other way because a fulfilling joy awaits at the end of the journey.

The Real Illusion
It always amazes that even though 99% of specific prophecies do not come true that there is never a shortage of people attempting to get the glory and accolades for making one that would.

We’ve had a couple more failed ones the past few days.

First as I related a while back David B. Cohen MD has predicted that a Supernova will occur in the constellation of Orion, which was supposed to open The Seventh Seal. This was supposed to happen Sept 23.

It is now Sept 30 and there is no supernova in sight.

He probably chose Orion for his predictions because scientists say that the giant star, Betelgeuse, located there, will go supernova. What he didn’t take into consideration is that it probably will not happen for another million years.

Then we had another prediction around Elenin. It was supposed to cause massive earthquakes around Sept 26 or 27th.

Again, nothing happened. But are believers discouraged?

Not hardly. As usually happens with failed predictions rationalization sets in. Now the word is that Elenin was just a foreshadowing of the real red dwarf star which will shortly come and doom us all.

It is an amazing thing to Google Elenin. Instead of getting writings from any type of real scientists on it at least 95% of the sites associate Elenin with Nibiru, a red dwarf, the end of the world, God’s judgment, UFOs, NASA cover-ups or other conspiracies.

This is indeed an example of an illusion but it is an illusion that should be easy for disciples to see through.

But the thing to take note of is the real core illusion is hidden. Because the truth around Elenin is obvious to the rational mind we can assume that the hype around Elenin is merely a symptom of the true illusion of the alarmists.

I haven’t given the group a question for a while so here is a good one.

What was the real illusion that caused so many to think that Elenin would bring great destruction by now?

As we discuss this I will respond more to Rob’s question.

Oct 1, 2011
Finding the Principle

The question: What was the real illusion that caused so many to think that Elenin would bring great destruction by now?

The group gave some great responses to this question. Here are some:

Dan: That man is an un-natural and evil occurrence that deserves to and should be severely punished.

Ruth: The answer could be that the main core foundational beliefs come from the Bible

Larry W gave an interesting account as to why Elenin attracted his interest.

Tom: I think it is fear of death, doom or dying…or being helpless. It gives these others who make the dooms day predication the power to scare the living crap out of people. Also, the illusion of an outward authority figure. It is Fear!!!!

Johann: That change is bad and is to be avoided and a it is a belief in a static unchangeable world/universe where nothing is added to or subtracted from the “fragile” visible order that is.

Then the core belief in the end has to be that we humans cannot create and if we can not create (only god can) then the only things we can create is chaos and death or entropy in a static system.

Kelly: This is another doomsday prophecy that enables the lazy out there to casts shadows on the light and make them believe their end has come. It generates a belief in powerlessness, instills greater fear so to speak and kills hope in people. Hence, the message that comes to me would be «Here is humanity: the product of inevitable destruction so don’t even try! What’s the point in trying so just give up now and save yourself the energy». Sad to say but if you ask people around you, what they’ll do if the earth is coming to an end, they will actually begin to celebrate.

Clayton quotes his friend: “I probably should not merely be resigned to the end, I should actually look forward to the end, as it will resolve all the problems…”

Blayne The real illusion is that such destruction would be a sort of cleansing wiping out the bad guys and the good guys would get to rebuild society without all the problems of today. And of course the strongest believers assume they are these good guys. When in fact it would set back humanity thousands of years.

Rob: I submit that a doom-and-gloom mindset is caused by the belief in the separation of God and man, and that separation is underpinned by the belief that “God is perfect”.

Marcy: I too spent many years anxious and worried about the 2nd coming/end of the world and it came from feeling that I had a responsibility to understand the end of the world prophesies/scripture! I was one of the good gals – of coarse 🙂 – and needed to help others prepare, prepare, prepare so they too could be on the right side of the Lord when the end came.

I even had a little panic when JJ recently recommended food storage again since I had given up my food-storage-hobby!

LWK So I don’t suppose we should be surprised that many people expect disaster. It is what they experienced in many of their lives. You might say their soul is “conditioned” to expect disaster.

JJ LWK’s answer was one few would have thought of yet contains a lot of truth. Good thinking Larry.

Yes, a lot of our illusions and other flaws have their origins in past lives. We may not have our memories when we are reborn but many of our basic impulses carry over.

We do not realize how good we have it in this age and how much things have changed. Through most of our recorded history average people lived in fear of catastrophic happenings.

Today if there is crop failure in Kansas they just import what they need from somewhere else that had good weather. But in the old says a famine created mass starvation. It was just 150 years ago that one million people died from the Irish Potato Famine. Even today there are still many millions starving in various parts of the world.

Very few of us lived in freedom in our past lives and had to deal with a king or tyrant who had power over our lives.

In other words, many of us faced the end of our personal world many times in our past lives. This has got to have a strong influence on us in the present and cause the consciousness of many to contemplate some type of apocalypse.

That said the group did a great job of describing influences that lead to doomsday illusions, but no one has described the principle.

Think… what is the principle involved.

Hint: All these influences the group mentioned push the pilgrim toward illusion, but what actually makes him see and chose illusion over reality? What principle explains it?

Oct 2, 2011
Finding What You Are Looking For

The Question: What is the actual principle involved that causes people to focus on end of the world scenarios?

Again, we had some good comments and insights. Here are a few (but not all) of the good ones. Larry W Powerlessness. People don’t feel good enough to tackle their own problems. They feel powerless.

They want a Hercules or a Christ figure to come and solve their tough problems while they only address the smaller problems.

While I’m asking these questions, JJ, when are you gonna recreate yourself perfect? I realize if you did it for us that would probably violate some principle like helping the butterfly emerge from the cocoon too easy, but you could do that for yourself.

When healing someone using this kind of power, does the malady get healed only, or does the whole person get renewed?

Johann You do find what you look for but what makes them look for outward signs for the end of the world? It must be a corrupted perception of the world and in that perception the whole truth is not seen, like when we do not see the whole truth about our past lives.

Intolerance. Copy copy copy instead of adaption and a new creation or Lo and behold, I make everything new.

Natalie: My thought was Wrong Perception. Wrong perception that comes from corruption of thought from many sources.

Rob: Inertia the principle that causes us to choose the illusion of always expecting a disaster on the horizon?

Maybe we have collective inertia to always be on the lookout for disaster because for hundreds of past lives looking out for and avoiding disaster allowed us to survive.

Adam One of the great illusions is to see ourselves as victims,

We find what we’re looking for. Everything discussed pushes us toward the illusion that we want to be our reality. When we find something that lines up with the reality we desire, we embrace it.

Sharon: I was thinking maybe it is the Pendulum Principle, where the persons current understanding of the truth is at one of the extremes. This makes the person believe that the current pathway is the correct one to follow, but it is not until they go further to the extreme that they can eventually see the truth and then go back to the centre again where they can more accurately discern the truth.

And also a lot of information has 85% of truth and 15% error which makes people think that the information is all truth, making the information seem probable.

Jerry The principle is they lack true, proper and correct principles

Blayne: The driving principle behind this is that it is what they want to happen. The see what the expect to see and find evidence to support it whether it is true or not.

You find what you look for whether it is true or an illusion. if it is illusion you will latch on to the biggest thought form that fits what you a re looking for. If it is the true you will find that.

Ruth: There have been times where I have been under the spell of some illusion, and after a while I recognized the illusion and what it was, but I still pursued the illusion because it was what I wanted (desired)at the time, even when I knew it wasn’t real. Perhaps the Principle lays in this desire somewhere?

JJ The core principle involved was enunciated by three posters, Johann, Adam and Blayne. The principle is this:

“You find what you are looking for.”

Since the group is doing so well with insights let us go another round before I give my two cents.

Questions.

If we find what we are looking for then why in the world are so many looking for doom, destruction and gloom rather than creation, joy and prosperity?

Have you found yourself being guilty of this misdirection yourself?

What is the key to shifting our attention toward the good, the beautiful and the true?

Is such a shift really possible when every day we read and hear from associates about events and situations that indicate calamity may be around the corner?

What is the difference between finding what you are looking for and finding what you are looking at?

Seeing What We Want

Again, the group gave an impressive response to my questions. Unfortunately, I do not have time to itemize them and comment but will attempt to paint an overall picture.

As we said earlier, each of us has lived many lives and in the past our lifetimes were a much greater struggle for survival than they are today. I know life is difficult enough today, but in the past we had to worry about losing our heads if we said the wrong thing, losing our possessions through conquest or tyranny, losing our freedom etc. Despite our problems, we really have it good today compared to times past.

In addition to deep-seated feelings from past lives there are other influences.

Religion is a big one and influences many, even a few that aren’t that religious. But those who are strong in a faith take prophecies of doom much more serious.

The problem is that most of the world scriptures talk about some type of end of the world scenario. If one takes the Book of Revelations literally and think that the time of fulfillment is near then doom and gloom will indeed be his lot.

Islam expects the coming of a great savior, the Imam Mahdi, who will appear coinciding with great destruction. Many think the Jewish state must be destroyed first.

A problem which many of the religious do not consider is that numerous writers of religious works were strongly influenced by a negative thought form themselves. When reading the New Testament with an open mind it becomes obvious that they expected some type of end of the world, not now, 2000 years later, but in their day.

Do you see any visionaries in this day making end of the world predictions for the year 4000 and beyond? No one even thinks that far ahead.

Even so, in the first century I can assure you that 2000 years in their future was not even in their minds. Their concept of time was more limited than ours. Most thought like Paul who said: “we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord…” I Thess 4:15

Most of the early Christians thought the end of the world was near and they would live through it to see the coming of Christ in glory.

This mistake has been repeated decade after decade, century after century since then.

Later Christian sects had this same problem. The Mormons, the Adventists, the Jehovah Witnesses and others all thought they would see the end of the world and coming of the Lord in their lifetime. This occurred at the foundation of these sects and this belief continues with their members today.

It is interesting that this religious type gloom and doom is not restricted to believers in God. Many atheists and agnostics have fallen into this trap with a religious type belief in an environmental apocalypse that borders on the fanatical.

Al Gore has scared the uneducated and little kids as much as any old time preacher has with the fires of hell. His illustrations of how global warming will submerge many of our cities and lands underwater and destroy thousands of species is terrifying to those who love Mother Earth.

Fortunately, the data does not back him up but the media falls behind him just as the old time media did with the doom and gloom preachers not that long ago.

Many of these environmentalists see humans as a virus that mother nature wants to destroy to heal itself. Some feel that there is only room for a few million people and all will be destroyed except for a handful of purists. Of course, the true believers think they will qualify to remain here after the polluters are destroyed.

I talked with a member of the Sierra Club a while back and he was expecting an end to the civilized world in the near future. He seemed to think he would happily live in the wild on berries or something and not be affected by it.

This thinking is indeed prevalent. And why? The reason lies deeper than the influence of scriptures, writings and teachers. Those caught up in such things are usually frustrated with the life they are living. They see the situation as it is now as hell and want it turned into a heaven. They are powerless to make earth heaven by their own power (so they think) so they expect God or Mother Nature to do it for them. All the bad things will de destroyed and replaced with the new.

For the heavenly world to make its appearance the present world must be destroyed. Therefore, what do the true believers look for?

They look for signs of destruction for such signs also means that a heavenly new creation will shortly follow.

The principle involved is that we find what we look for and if we eagerly await destruction then that is what we look for and signs of such is also what we see.

We had gone through a small space of time when there were no major threatening planetary alignments or signs in the heavens when Elenin was discovered. Normally the discovery of a fairly insignificant comet would be no big deal but then someone posted alarm and predictions of doom around this followed by statements that NASA was covering up the fact that it was a red dwarf that was doomed to destroy us.

Instead of checking out valid scientific data on this, which was readily available, those who were looking for signs saw this as a sign the end was near. Soon the internet was ablaze with misinformation about this comet.

I found the noted Coast to Coast science advisor, Richard C. Hoagland’s comments on Elenin interesting. He is an educated and intelligent man but has certain mindsets and always finds what he is looking for. For instance, he believes there were ancient civilizations on Mars and the moon and in almost every picture he studies he sees remnants of ancient structures. I look at the same pictures and see structures that are most probably natural formations.

Well, George Noory asked him what he thought of the Elenin predictions. Being an actual scientist he had to admit it was just a couple miles in diameter and was far from being any red dwarf. He could see the chances of it causing any destruction were slim. But when this guy looks at anything long enough he always finds something very odd – because that is what he is looking for.

After studying Elenin he found what he considered as too many oddities to be a normal comet and determined that it was some probe sent here by aliens. It might be here to cause destruction or maybe just to study us and we should find out soon.

Elenin has now came and gone from its closest approach to the earth and there is no sign that it is an alien manufactured device. Hoagland has since moved on to other subjects.

The fact remains that Elenin is a small comet having a miniscule probability of having any effect on us.

Seeing anything else is merely the result of seeing what one looks for.

There’s 50 pictures on this site. Take a look. You will not be disappointed.

The Gold Standard, Part 4

This entry is part 30 of 50 in the series 2011A

Einstein’s Greatest Error

“But,” says the gold standard advocate, “you can’t have indefinite expansion. After any period of inflation, expansion and prosperity we have to pay the piper and a period of contraction must take hold. This is the big advantage of the gold standard. Even though, it is painful it causes necessary cycles of contraction.”

But why should a period of contraction even be necessary? Does such an idea correspond to nature? Well, let us look at our universe. It has not only been constantly expanding since its creation over 14 billion years ago, but at the present time the rate of expansion is increasing! Some scientists predicted an expanding universe, but not one expected to find that it is increasing its speed of expansion.

Einstein’s original calculations predicted an expanding universe but this idea went against his belief system so he altered his equations to get the answer he wanted. Later when Edwin Hubble’s observations proved the universe was indeed expanding Einstein admitted that his rejection of an expanding universe was the biggest mistake of his life.

And what caused Einstein’s greatest error?

It was not his logic for his original math and reason told him the universe would be expanding. The cause of his error was his belief system got in the way and prevented him from looking at the math without filters.

Are economists making the same mistake? Many of them are telling us that we can only expand for so long and then we must have a depression or recession. Is their belief that all good things must end interfering with the wonderful truth that we can increase and economically expand indefinitely just as the universe itself is doing?

“But how can the economy expand indefinitely? If we overspend then a correction has to come,” says the skeptic.

The problem is that solid economic expansion does not involve wild overspending as many seem to think. What is overlooked is there are two types of economic expansion. Let us illustrate.

Example One: The Smith Family has been working hard and has been struggling to make ends meet. They’ve wanted to get a new car as well as vacation in Europe but the money to do so never seems to show up. Finally, they decided they deserved some of the better things in life and took out a substantial loan against the equity in their house. This loan was like a windfall and they began spending liberally.

In the eyes of their friends it appeared that the Smiths were experiencing an economic boom.

Then the time came the money ran out and the Smith’s expenditures were more than their income. Instead of taking belt-tightening measures they decided they didn’t want to give up their new lifestyle and borrowed to the max on every credit card they had.

For the next two years their friends thought the Smiths were having a continuing economic boom.

Finally the day of reckoning came and the Smith’s couldn’t borrow enough to pay their bills. At that time their economic world collapsed and they lost everything.

Yes, the Smith’s had to pay the piper for their apparent economic boom, but do all expansions have to end this way?

No.

Example Two:

The Jones family started out in the same situation. They also wanted some of the nicer things in life. They realized they could take out an extra mortgage on their home but decided against it because if this was all they did they would have difficulty in paying it back. They also didn’t like the idea of their hard earned money going into interest payments that merely financed luxuries.

Mr. Jones tells the family, “If we want some luxuries and do not want to suffer the burden of loans we cannot pay back then the only solution is to increase our income. Any suggestions?”

Mrs. Jones spoke up. “I have one. I will go back to work and this will give us the money we need to pay back the loan we are going to take out.”

“But we didn’t want to take out a loan for luxuries,” he said.

“I’m not talking about a loan for luxuries, but for seed money to start that internet business you’ve been thinking of for years. The money from my job can pay back the loan so even if your business fails miserably we will be no worse off financially than we are now. On the other hand, if you succeed then we can not only pay back the loan but we can buy a lot of things we have dreamed of for years.”

The family thought this was a good idea and moved forward with the plan. After two years the business proved a success, they paid back the loan and both Mr. and Mrs. Jones quit their day jobs to work their new business full time.

“Shall we buy some of those luxuries now?” asked Mrs. Smith.

“We could,” said her husband but I have some new ideas for the business that could pay off big time. If we take our extra money and invest in expansion there is a good chance that in a couple more years that we can buy any luxury we want.”

Mrs. Jones was reluctant but agreed and the family continued focusing on expanding and two years later the business and money supply grew just as anticipated.

At that time the Jones took some of their extra money and bought a few things they had wanted over the years. But most important they learned the rules of true expansion and only put money at risk that they could afford to lose.

They continued to apply these lessons and expanded their business, income and savings until they retired. Then they turned their business over to their kids who continued to apply the same common sense approach and the business continued to expand.

Now some may wonder why I am giving simplistic stories illustrating the obvious.

First, I might note that the truth behind these stories must be far from obvious.

Why?

Because our best and brightest that we hire (elect) and send to Congress seem oblivious to the common sense of the Jones family and, instead, act like the inept Smiths.

Secondly, many who are considered the best and brightest in the economic world believe we are eternally doomed to the fate of the Smith family. They tell us that any continued expansion of the money supply is like borrowing money on a credit card and must be followed by either collapse or deflation.

They overlook the fact that there are two ways to increase the money supply.

The first is to copy the Smiths and borrow the money with no sensible way to pay it back. Unfortunately this insane path is supported by the most intelligent people we can manage to vote into office.

Overlooked is the fact that there is a second way. If we increase our money supply using common sense principles, as did the Jones, then the economy never needs to contract but the money supply and economic growth can continue indefinitely just as happened in the story of the Jones and illustrated in the expansion of the universe itself.

Fun Facts

This entry is part 12 of 34 in the series 2010B

Over the years I have collected an interesting assortment of odd ball stories, articles and unusual information.  I thought I would share a few light-hearted stories with you.
Here is the first one:

Einstein’s Brain
HERE’S WHY EINSTEIN WAS SMARTER THAN US
Researcher Marian Diamond has discovered why Einstein was such a genius. He had 73 percent more of a certain type of brain cell than the average guy.

The University of California anatomy professor studied four slices of the famous physicist’s brain and found that the left portion of Einstein gray matter contained more glial cells, cells which supply nourishment to other brain tissue and handle mundane chores.

“There I was, looking at the brain that came up with the theory of relativity,” said an awestruck Dr. Diamond, who admitted she found the experience “overwhelming.”

Einstein’s brain is owned by a Missouri pathologist who participated in an autopsy on the genius after his death in 1955 at the age of 76. It took Dr. Diamond three years to talk him out of a few chunks of brain tissue for her experiments and six months to study the samples.

Her efforts were rewarded when she discovered differences between Einstein’s brain tissue and the tissue of ordinarily intelligent people.

Diamond said she found 73 percent more glial cells for every neuron cell in the left lobe of Einstein’s brain, Neuron cells are responsible for thinking, while the gliais supply more fundamental needs. She theorizes that the abundance of glial cells explains Einstein’s superintelIigence.

“No one knows how cells think,” she said, “It’s a mystery.”

Diamond has been studying the neuron-glial relationship in rats for years and has found that rats that are stimulated with toys and activities develop more glials for every neuron.

Piggly Wiggly
FOLKS LAUGHED AT THE MAN WHO INVENTED TODAY’S SUPERMARKET
Clarence Saunders put the “super” in supermarket when he invented the self-serve market, but his competitors laughed in his face the day he opened his first Piggly WIggly store in 1916.

Up until then, grocery shoppers told a clerk what they wanted and the clerk gathered all the items. But Saunders had a better idea. He put the groceries on shelves, stuck price tags in front of them and let shoppers pick what they wanted. Then the customers took their groceries to the checkout counter.

“Traditional grocery store owners thought Saunders first store in Memphis, Tenn., was a joke. They prophesied customers would steal him out of business inside a month,” said Melinda Ingram, communications manager for Piggly Wiggly Corp.

“Instead, a week after he opened the store, Saunders had to issue admission tickets.” That’s because Saunders was a public relations genius and he also made sure Piggly Wiggly had lower prices than its competitors.

“Saunders was the first to start a price war, running ads comparing his prices with his old-fashioned competitors,” Ingram said.

“Two months after his first store opened, Saunders had 43 stores.”

Saunders lost his fortune in the stock market during the 1920s. But Ed Matthews, vice president and director of trade relations for Piggly Wiggly, said; “Saunders* store started a revolution in the movement of products from manufacturers to consumers.

“Piggly Wiggly and the invention of Saunders self-service has been described as the most significant change in the buying and selling of goods since the introduction of currency.”

PEOPLE’S HANDS REVEAL WHAT THEY ARE FEALLY THINKING

You can tell what people are thinking by watching their hands, say experts.

“Hands can be a real giveaway to our inner feelings,” said Dr. Vernon Coleman, author of the new book “People Watching.”

“For example, observe the way people shake hands. If they reach out and try to keep their hand on top with the palm facing down, they are trying to dominate.

“When people conceal their palms they are being aggressive and when they have their hands turned upward with the palms in full view they are open and receptive.

“When people put their hands behind their head and lean back, that is a generally aggressive and arrogant sign. They are saying they can expose their bodies to you, but have so much power they don’t need to defend themselves.

“When a man or woman constantly plays with their wedding ring it indicates something is wrong with the relationship. This is especially true if the person talks about their partner at the same time.

“The hands can also pinpoint, a liar. When people stray from the truth they often touch their faces, particularly around the mouth and: the nose.

“Somebody who fiddles with their neckline or puts their hands inside their shirt or blouse is probably not telling you the whole truth. They have something to hide. Putting the hands in the pockets is another way of attempting to hide something.

“But when a man repeatedly touches his tie he is very keen on making a good impression. It is his way of saying he’s really trying.”

Liars sometimes give themselves away by scratching their necks, added Dr. David Lewis, author of “The Secret Language of Success. How to Bead and Use Body Talk.”

“They usually scratch five times – seldom more and rarely less ” he said.

“Some people know their hands can expose their lies, and they try to keep them out of sight in their pockets or behind their backs. But even then they can. subconsciously fiddle with keys or coins ? which shows they are not tolling the truth. “

Another interesting and revealing hand movement is when someone makes a hair grooming gesture, like -running their fingers through their hair. This shows the person is suddenly filled with doubt and doesn’t know what to do next”

People also betray their secret anxieties by holding something in front of them, such as a newspaper or handbag, said Dr. Coleman.

“It can mean that person is receiving unwanted attention from the opposite sex – and is trying to reject these advances by hiding. “

On the other hand, people who put their hands on their hips or their thumbs into their belt loops are trying to make themselves look attractive.”

Excellent Drivers
37% THINK THEY’RE EXCELLENT DRIVERS
Some37 percent of drivers think they are excellent behind the wheel, and 55 percent consider themselves good, reveals a poll of 500 motorists commissioned by Valvoline Oil.

But only 2 percent of drivers feel that other motorists are excellent… and 55 percent think that the other guy is generally a poor-to-fair driver.

Einstein

This entry is part 37 of 62 in the series 2010

Tom writes:
I am not too familiar with the history of the plot to kill Hitler, but I know that JJ was the one who planned it, if I am not mistaken. Because you have revealed this life I figured it was ok to bring it up. I am wondering if you have the ability to learn German?

JJ
No. I think a dose of living with the Nazis has made me gun-shy of learning German in this life. We all have spoken other languages in past lives but even so most of us would have to struggle to learn them again.

I have taken people back into past lives where they were able to speak a language of the past but then as soon as they return to the present they can’t remember how to speak it.

Also, if Einstein was reincarnated you say he will have the same intelligence of Einstein? I Remember in a private Email from you that if one had a mental illness that could effect anyone’s intelligence including Einstein, Newton, Hawking. (I added those names not you) Let say the reincarnation of Einstein had Autism or Dyslexia or some kind of illness that can cause the brain to produce poor language skills. Is this correct that if one is born with such disabilities that it will effect their overall intelligence from a past life?

JJ
If Einstein were born with brain damage then his full intelligence would be handicapped. However, if he were born with a fully functioning body, brain and nervous system, his intelligence would carry over. He may apply it differently in this life but he would still have genius.
