Question on Paul

Tom writes:

Is Paul, the one who wrote most of the New Testament and prosecuted Christians a master? JJ, mention him as a master. Was he a master when he wrote the New Testament or what initiate was he?

JJ

Yes Paul wrote quite a few books of the New Testament. They were originally written as letters to various congregations.

Paul was a third degree initiate. This third initiation was marked by his conversion when he was blinded by an encounter with the Christ and then healed.

According to DK, Paul became a master in a later life in which he was known as Hilarion.

Jan 19, 2014

Ruth:

If Paul became a master in a later life time, then was it when he was Oliver Cowdery? Is that why he walked away from Joe Smith and the LDS for a while after their argument?

JJ

As I said, DK says he became a master as Hilarion. Oliver was not a master and had a ways to go. It is possible that Hilarion and Oliver are two extensions of the same oversoul as Oliver had a ways to go to become a master in that life.

Here are some more things I have written about this subject. LINK

Reader:

So, I guess it is OK for Rabbi Shaul, the inventor of Pauline Christology, which contradicted Jesus Christ, The 12 Apostles and God Himself… and be considered an “initiate?”

JJ

Paul initiated his version of Christianity that spread around the word. This tells us that he was a powerful initiate.

If you are looking for perfection in initiates then you will never find one. There will be zero initiates for you to discover.

Tom:

JJ, another question: Jesus appeared to Paul when he was blinded and told him to follow him or something similar. Paul said he had gotten Revelations from Jesus Christ about his Gospels he is teaching which is similar to what Jesus taught. I have a question. Why did Jesus not write down his life story for all to follow his example. What if no one decided not to write about Jesus? Paul and maybe John and Peter helped spread Jesus word throughout the world….why did |Jesus not write a book on his teachings?

JJ

Maybe Jesus did do some writing and it was lost or hidden.

In those days teachers didn’t write down their thoughts like they do today. Even Socrates didn’t write anything that we know of. If not for Plato he would be lost to history.

Who do We Pray To?

Tom:

If there so many supernatural beings that visited the Earth that are gods then who do we pray too?

Who was the GOD of Jesus Christ when he talked about God?

Can the WORD control the elementals so Jesus could walk on water?

JJ

I have written about this quite extensively. The main entity that is likely to hear your prayers is a higher part of yourself, the highest part being the Monad which is closely linked to the One God. There are also occasions when a discarnate spirit will take notice and once in a while a master.

Sometimes when Jesus was talking about God or his Father he was talking about the overshadowing entity, the Christ, and other times the One God who reaches down to us through our higher selves and other means.

The Word sustained by thought and focus can accomplish most anything.

Ruth:

Did this happen because Moses was a Master before he came to Earth, or he had become a Master at that time or because Moses was overshadowed…

JJ

He underwent the transfiguration initiation when he was 80 years of age. Since this didn’t happen before the age of 21 we can assume that this was the first time he reached this stage.

I do not think that Moses was a master but that he was overshadowed by one who also went through his own initiation.

Joan Asks:

Should we not pray for help in specific instances, say, in our desiring to intervene on behalf of those we love who are in trouble? This is one of my biggest concerns, praying “wrongly” (through pride or “lack of permission”). How does one discern these things or even have a right to intervene.

JJ

There is nothing wrong with any sincere prayer for help. According to the intent, vibration and spiritual power it will find its right place and meet with a response if Higher Intelligence decides in a positive direction.

Steve Jobs and Initiation

Tom wants to know how Steve Jobs could have been an initiate when he had so many faults. He seemed very emotional.

JJ

The First Degree Initiate has stronger emotions than a non initiate and a Second Degree has even stronger ones than the First Degree. One who has reached the Second Degree therefore has very strong emotions and will display them from time to time. Showing strong emotions and controlling them are two different things. Jesus showed strong emotions when he whipped the money changers and chased them out of the temple, but this was a mental decision he made. If a Second Degree Initiate shows strong emotions it is because he has made a decision to do so, not because he cannot control himself.

What you look for in a person who has attained emotional control is not emotional display (unless it is obviously with no control) but whether his decisions are made trough an illogical emotional base or by the mind. When you look at the results of Jobs decision making as a whole you can see that they elevated society much more on a mental level than an emotional one.

I know Sharón was on the show earlier. I suspect that she put in a good word for me.

The Mother of ALL Ironies.

What do you call a ship full of frozen, Global Warming scientists who are stuck in the ice in Antarctica during the Southern Hemisphere’s summer????

A: A really good start.

B: An Al Gore Carnival Cruise

C: The Mother of ALL Ironies.

D: All of the above.

I stole this off a comment page. Thought it was funny.

A question on the Bible of God

Tom:

Is some of the Bible written by prophets who God spoke to?

JJ

Many of the prophets were either inspired through the soul or received something from Higher Intelligence so in the way most people would interpret God, the answer is yes, many received information from God. But they wrote down the revelation in their own words which are always susceptible to error. Any writing must be interpreted through the soul.

Laggards

Ruth

If the Laggards had passed their initiations in the past Universe or Solar System, then the Laggards on Earth now would have been one of these exalted beings that come here to assist us….Yes? No? Or are these beings from the Sacred Planets and the Planet the laggards missed out on going to?

JJ

Laggards are laggards because they did not apply themselves in the last solar system. They are not initiates unless they recently attained that status. We can’t use the past universe (much further back in time) to measure our current progression because we started anew under new conditions in this universe.

More on Perfection

Joan talks about the miraculous survival of Immaculee Iligebaza. I was fortunate enough to see Immaculee in person and heard her tell her story. She is indeed a person with great faith and I am sure was preserved for a reason.

Joan wants some clarification on God and perfection. She says:

“Can we hope to attain alignment with God….despite our current state of affairs? Can we still experience His perfection (Perfect Love, Compassion and Wisdom) in this life…… despite all of its (and our) suffering and pain?”

JJ

Humanity’s idea of what is perfected has been conjured up by our minds and defined by ourselves. It is quite a bit different than the idea of what perfection would be for a Higher Life, such as a Planetary or Solar Logos.

In other words, perfection is a relative thing – a moving target. What is perfection to a dog is a master that gives him all he can eat. What is perfection to a savage are happy hunting grounds and shooting arrows at game that never miss. What was perfection to the Seahawks was pretty much the Superbowl game they played on Sunday. What is perfection to a religious fundamentalist is to never act against anything written in the Bible, etc.

Yes, you can attain alignment with the will of God to a degree, but not without making some mistakes along the way. You can experience the Love of God by entering a state that lies beyond the imagination of the average person, but you will not stay in perfect oneness forever. You “will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9

Joan:

“Isn’t God still the Almighty, All Powerful, Omnipresent, Omniscient Perfect Being—regardless of what is manifest in the physical world? I believe All Is One and we have the potential, if not the absolute capacity—- to transcend all darkness in an instant. This belief is my daily reprieve from the suffering and devastation rampant in this earthy life.”

JJ

Every life, even God has limitations. God has incarnated in this universe and has been working on making it a fun place to live for billions of years. He just can’t snap his fingers and make all the lives or cells in his body, respond perfectly and treat each other in the ideal way. He is working toward an end where great joy for all will be the result, but most of the fun is getting to that end.

There are great lives above human that are very powerful and they would be judged to be all powerful gods to many average humans who would encounter them, but they have their own struggles toward their own ideas of perfection on their plane of being.

The worst hell that there could be would be to reach a state where there are no new challenges, where we just rest in some type of eternal perfection forever. If such a thing were to happen our life would dissolve and we would disappear into non existence. Eternal life is only attained by a willingness to encounter eternal challenges.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. Revelation 21:5

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the days of old. Behold, I will do a NEW thing; now it shall spring forth….” (Isa 43:18-19)

Here is a dialog I wrote on the subject:

IS GOD PERFECT

QUESTION: Is God perfect?

ANSWER: Yes.

QUESTION: Then you believe that God does not make mistakes?

ANSWER: Yes. He doesn’t make mistakes.

QUESTION: Did God create you?

ANSWER: Yes.

QUESTION: Are you perfect?

ANSWER: No.

QUESTION: But if God created imperfect beings such as ourselves then God would have to be imperfect, wouldn’t he?

ANSWER: No. God is perfect and created us perfect, but He has given us our freewill and, using this freewill, we make imperfections.

QUESTION: But who created your freewill?

ANSWER: God.

QUESTION: So we come back to the same conclusion. God created you and your free will in an imperfect state. How can you believe that God is perfect?

ANSWER: You are twisting things. (This is the answer a person gives when he doesn’t want to face truth or admit that he has been wrong.)

QUESTION: Did God create the earth, the minerals, plants and animals?

ANSWER: Yes.

QUESTION: I notice that animals are also not perfect. Some get sick; others are dangerous and bite people. Did God make them imperfect?

ANSWER: I’m not sure.

QUESTION: How about plants and minerals? Very few crystals are nearly perfect and many plants are misshapen and off color. If God is perfect and He created everything, then why is everything not perfect?

ANSWER: It’s because of man’s original sin that all this imperfection came into the world.

QUESTION: But, apparently imperfection was already in the world, for the imperfect serpent was here when man arrived. Was man responsible for the creation of the imperfect serpent?

ANSWER: No.

QUESTION: So one must conclude that man is not responsible for all the imperfection in the world. Is this right?

ANSWER: I guess.

QUESTION: So who is responsible for imperfect creations?

ANSWER: The Devil. God makes things perfect, but man and the Devil corrupt them.

QUESTION: So when were you created perfect by God?

ANSWER: When I was born.

QUESTION: Are you saying then that all babies are perfect when they are born?

ANSWER: Well, I know that some are born without limbs and with defects. I must have been perfect when I was conceived.

QUESTION: But you were not created when you were conceived, and we know that nature aborts many conceptions, so even they are not perfect. If God is perfect and you are created at birth by Him, then why are not all babies perfect?

ANSWER: You are twisting things.

QUESTION: Do you really believe that God is perfect or is that just what you have been programmed to think?

ANSWER: You’ve got me confused. What’s your answer?

COMMENT: The word used in reference to the perfection of God and Jesus was TELEIOO which implies the finishing of a job, assignment or mission. Thus the Bible references of the perfection of Jesus and his Father imply that when they accept a mission they are able to successfully complete it.

The word that implies perfection as we use it today in relation top God was the Greek word AKRIBELA. This is the perfection which implies never making a mistake. The interesting thing is this word was never used in reference to Jesus, or even God for that matter. BUT it was used in reference to the belief system of those who crucified the Christ. They saw Jesus as far from flawless and therefore it would be blasphemous to assume that he was the son of God.

The scripture which reads: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matt 5:48 is better translated as: “Therefore finish (or complete) the work you are given to do even as your Father in Heaven completes His.”

No creator, not even God manifests flawlessness at the beginning of his work, but when the end is approached then the creation is perfected.

The Game of Life

During my last radio interview I made the rather controversial that the purpose of life is to have fun.

Ruth takes some issue with this statement and asks:

If God designed the Game of Life, and the Purpose of Life was Fun, then why isn’t the Game fun to play?

With all the pain and suffering on Earth, then how does one say to all the starving millions of people in Africa etc, to just go and have fun?

In fact, I thought Disciple School was more about placing our attention on the higher desires of Soul, rather than the lower desires of the Not Self.????

JJ

I’ve talked about the purpose of life numerous times in the past but never quite starkly equated it with having fun. I have taught that God was motivated to incarnate into the universe for the purpose of having experience and he designed the experience to be as interesting as possible just as we humans, who are reflections of God, design various games we play to achieve maximum entertainment value. In other words, the desired result of the playing of all games is to have fun, or to receive enjoyment and satisfaction from them.

Ruth tells us she is not having fun at the moment, as she is struggling with several aspects of her life, so this teaching seems to not be true. But let me ask you this. Are the successful games that turn out to be he most fun, pain and stress free? No. The games we like the most are those that have the potential for the greatest pain and have great risk. Let us examine two of them.

The most successful board game of all time is Monopoly. This can be a very aggravating and stressful game to play when you lose. You can get a bunch of motels and have lots of cash and then in your next couple moves you could lose it all which could make you feel like jumping up and down and screaming. But does this mean you are never going to play again? No. It will generally make you more determined to try again.

Why?

Because it’s fun.

And why is it fun when it sometimes makes you so angry?

Because the reward is great when you win.

At this moment, just a couple days after the 2014 Superbowl, there are probably few people on the planet in a more painful emotional state than the Denver quarterback, Payton Manning. His team was favored to win and he was being viewed and written about as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He had just healed from a broken neck and some thought he may not play again, but he got back in the game this year and broke some new records and seemed to be doing better than ever. The only thing he needed to seal the deal on legend status was to win the Superbowl.

The big game began and they started the first drive. The crowd was roaring so loud you could barely hear yourself think. The center was having difficulty in hearing Payton’s instructions and thought he heard Manning tell him to hike the ball and he complied.

He heard wrong and the ball sailed over Manning’s head into the end zone. The famous quarterback did not have a clue the ball was coming and this led to a Safety which gave Seattle two points just 12 seconds into the game.

This screw-up caused Seattle to score with the shortest playing time in Superbowl history.

This one bad play, representing awful timing, set the tome for the whole game and the Broncos timing was off for the entire period. They wound up losing 43-8, a humiliating score.

Payton Manning was in a very painful and distressed emotional state for he not only didn’t seal the deal on his ranking with the greats in football but the whole team was very upset and felt down on their luck.

And it doesn’t end there. The Denver Bronco fans were expecting to celebrate at the end of the game but their heroes not only lost, but lost big. They felt humiliate, angry and many were downright depressed.

Payton Manning broke his neck, but came back and tried again only to end up with devastating humiliation. After all this physical and emotional pain do you suppose that he never wants to show his face on a football field again?

No. He will gladly play again.

How about the rest of the team? They are terribly upset. Will they play again?

Yes, gladly.

How about the Denver fans? Surely, they will stay away in the future after such a frustrating experience.

No. They will be back.

Why in the dickens to these people come back for more? Do they like pain?

No. They do not like the pain. They come back because he game is fun. They know you do not win all the time and if you did it wouldn’t be fun. But when you do win there is a thrill achieved that makes any pain or distress in the past worth the end result.

Yes, the thrill does not last forever, but if it did it wouldn’t be a thrill. We play the game of life and after a number of painful setbacks we win and achieve a wonderful state of being. After it subsides we move on to another goal or game and eventually achieve another thrill. This we do for all eternity.

Each new game is different and more challenging than the one before. There is no end to what we can achieve.

Ruth says she thought the purpose of life was more about Becoming or “placing our attention on the higher desires.”

And how do we become? We become by playing the game of life until we win and have fun at winning.

And why do we eventually place our attention on higher desires?

Because they supply more fun and joy than lower desires.

Whenever any of us reach a decision point we try and pick the path that will be the most fun, proactive and joyous to travel. Who in his right mind would pick a path that only leads to pain and nothing else?

You say that Jesus did when he chose the crucifixion.

Not so. It is written:

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb 12:2

Jesus realized that his part of the game had the risk of great pain, just as a good football player does. Even so, Jesus moved ahead with his plays, and why?

“For the joy that was set before him.”

An important point to remember in this discussion is that in playing te game of life we will often have dark areas to transverse which may occupy considerable time. If we play the game right they may only last a few years. If not we may have pain an entire lifetime or several lifetimes until we listen to our coach, the soul. Now sometimes, because of karma, it is very difficult to have much fun in a lifetime but generally bright spots can be managed if the person has the right attitude.

Count Cagliostro gave us a good example of how one can still play the game in the last couple years of his life when he was imprisoned and tortured. I may write a summary of this.

JJ

Playing the Game

DK tells us that Cagliostro was a previous life of HPB and in that life he/she made a lot of mistakes and set the work back. On the other hand, when he was imprisoned at the end of his life one can see that his soul was great despite his faults and making the best of his no-win situation prepared him for the success of his next life. Cagliostro gives us an example of how life can be interesting even in the most difficult of situations.

A good book on him is called The Last Alchemist.

Larry:

So was Cagliostro ever HPB?

JJ

That is what DK says.

Larry

You once pointed out Kennedy’s facial features and symmetry matched HPB (which also means facial recognition software would rank then highly probable the same person).

JJ

I doubt if facial recognition software would prove anything as people’s faces will change from lifetime to lifetime, though there will be similarities.

Soryn:

If JFK was HPB this has to be the most random death ever.

JJ

Jean Dixon became a famous psychic by predicting JFK’s assassination and she made this statement:

She said she had received a number of visions of future events and she got the impression that many of them were not set in stone and could be changed or prevented. But she said that when she saw the vision of the future assassination she got the impression that it was a part of our destiny and there was no preventing it. If that is true then luck may not have been a factor.

Larry

I think you may have even made that case citing their handwriting.

JJ

I wrote a major article comparing the handwriting of HPB and JFK but it was lost when I changed servers. When I get time I’ll have to put it up again.

Larry

But if he was both HPB and AAB and Kennedy, then his life as HPB would overlap with his life as AAB. Which is ok with me. But is that what you think is true?

JJ

No one I know of has said that HPB reincarnated as AAB. They are two separate entities.

Soryn:

If JFK was HPB this has to be the most random death ever.

JJ

Jean Dixon became a famous psychic by predicting JFK’s assassination and she made this statement:

She said she had received a number of visions of future events and she got the impression that many of them were not set in stone and could be changed or prevented. Noah, The Movie

This entry is part 2 of 33 in the series 2014

We went to see Noah over the weekend and thought I would make a few comments on it.

So far it has gathered some strong reactions pro and con. Many religious fundamentalists are upset with it because it doesn’t follow the Bible that closely.  Here are some of their complaints.

(1) Noah refers to God as “The Creator” rather than God. I don’t see a problem with this but some think it is disrespectful.

(2) Fallen Angels that look like Transformers made of stone help Noah build the ark. Believers think that this belongs in a science fiction movie rather than a Bible story.

Yes, the Bible does not back up such an ingredient, but it is a creative touch and makes the story more interesting.

(3) Noah doesn’t talk with God but learns about the flood through dreams and drinking a magical potion given to him by Methuselah, who comes across like a Shaman.

Again, I don’t have a problem with this.  I thought it was a good creative touch.  One orthodox critic made this observation, saying that if the movie just stuck to the few lines about Noah in the Bible without improvising, the story would have been pretty boring.  He has a point.

Now I have no problem with movies taking some creative license to make the movie more interesting but some of the other deviations from the Bible text go way beyond a mere enhancement of the story.

I was a little perplexed that only one of Noah’s sons (Shem) in the story had a wife when the Bible clearly tells us that all three sons were married and had many children after the flood.

Why would they write such a script that runs in direct opposition to the Bible story? Making up details to fill in the gaps of the story is one thing, but this completely changes the story.

Then after I saw the film I put the pieces together.  Here is what I came up with.

The writer and director Darren Aronofsky is an atheist and environmentalist.  Now why would an atheist environmentalist write and direct a film about a famous Biblical character?  Obviously his motive would not be to increase our faith in God.

BUT… if he could use it as a vehicle to further his personal agenda, then what the heck?

It appears that Aronofsky is not only an environmentalist but belongs to the wing who sees human kind as a mistake of nature, a virus in the earth that does more harm than good. This brand of environmentalist actually believes the earth would be much better off without human beings, who are a blight on the planet.

So, even though the guy is an atheist, he saw that the story of Noah would be the perfect medium for his message – that is, if he made a few fundamental changes to the Biblical record.

Here are some changes he had to make to turn Noah into an extreme environmentalist.

(1) He made Noah and his family vegetarians, even though we are clearly told that God approved of them being meat eaters, “Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you,” said God to Noah. Gen 9:3.

(2) God was only angry with humans but was happy with the rest of the living creatures, which were innocent and wonderful.

Not so, says the Bible.

“And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” Gen 6:7-13

Here we are clearly told that God was not only upset with humans but “the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air…” and “ALL flesh.” We are even told that the earth itself “was corrupt.” The idea of Mother Earth being corrupt is particularly blasphemous to an extreme environmentalist so changes to the Bible text definitely had to be made.

So Noah was created in the image of Aronofsky. He was a strict vegetarian who lived to disturb nothing that was natural on the earth.  He even forbids his child from disturbing a flower by picking it.  It was wrong for his kid to pick a flower just to enjoy its smell and beauty.

On the other hand, the reason Aronofsky gives that the Creator wanted to destroy the earth was because greedy capitalists were ruining the planet.  Their most egregious error was at they ate meat, but on top of this they did lots of strip mining and clear cutting of the forests doing lots of damage to the environment.

Who would have thought that they did Strip mining in the days of Noah?

So the basic idea in the head of the Creator from the mind of Aronofsky was that humans were a blight and needed to be completely destroyed – every man woman and child.  After their destruction then the earth could continue in peace inhabited by the peaceful plants and animals.

To insure that humans would go extinct after the flood Aronofsky wrote in the script that Shem’s wife was barren and Japheth and Ham had no wives with which to procreate after the flood. Thus when Noah and his family died the human race would be no more.

That Shaman devil Methuselah thwarted the will of God just as the serpent did in the Garden of Eden. He healed Shem’s wife just before the flood so she could have children and thus the blight of human beings continued to exist on the face of the earth.

Never has a Bible story been so corrupted to further a political agenda. In fact I can’t think of a piece of recorded history that has been so drastically altered for an agenda film.

To portray humanity as a blight and a huge error of the Creator is about as harmful a doctrine as one can promote. Yeah, we are not perfect and make mistakes, but as time passes and we rise above our faults humans will become the most benevolent force on the planet and will nurture plant, animal and human life until the whole planet becomes a true Garden of Eden.

Will Good People Who Do Not Believe Go To Hell?

This entry is part 36 of 57 in the series Mysteries

Chapter Thirty-Seven

Will Good People Who Do Not Believe Go To Hell?

It is an amazing thing that so many religious people believe that they have an exclusive on heaven and are sure to avoid hell whereas anyone who believes differently than themselves, even if they are good people,  will suffer for eternity. Many Christians think we have to accept their version of Jesus, Muslims demand we accept their version of Mohammed, Scientologists want their version of L. Ron Hubbard etc.

Let us focus on Jesus for the moment.  Many Christians have come to certain conclusions as to what or who Jesus is and they teach that if we do not accept this version we will go to hell. To them, just believing to the best of your ability or living a good life is not enough. Instead, you have to believe in the right version of Jesus, which is, of course, their version.

Does the Bible really tell us that we have to believe in the right version of Jesus or we will go to hell?

No.  Jesus never said anything like this at all. The scriptures do speak of the importance of believing in him but Jesus clarified what there was about him we are supposed to believe. He never went around demanding people accept any particular version of him or even that he was the Messiah.  Instead, he emphasized again and again that we believe on his words because they lead us to truth and justice.

His words were so powerful they were called “words of eternal life.” John 6:68

Jesus emphasized the power of his words of truth when he said, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63

Jesus did not emphasize believing in his goodness or him as a person, but wanted us to accept his actual words.  It is written:

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

So what were the actual words of Jesus relating to where we are likely to wind up in the next world?  Actually, he was pretty clear on the subject.  He clearly said this:

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

“Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matt 25:34

Here Jesus clearly tells us in his own words that the criteria for entering the kingdom of God is not a belief in a particular version of himself or a church, but we will be judged by how we treat our fellow men and women. If we assist others who are in need then it will be well with us whether we are a member of a certain church or not.  If we treat others badly then we are in for a wake-up call no matter how true we think our church or our doctrine is.

This idea is further affirmed here:

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

“Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matt 7:7-12

The idea presented here is this. We as humans are very flawed, but despite our imperfections we, as parents will go out of our way to respond to the needs of our children. If they ask for bread we are not so cruel to give them a stone instead. Jesus then tells us that the goodness of God in dealing with us is much more magnanimous than we are with our own children.

If your kid has some wrong ideas about you and is in need will you be so cruel as to send him to hell?

No and neither will God.  God will treat us even better than we treat our own children.

So then if a person is a good and decent human being and has a number of wrong ideas in his head about God, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha or any other being or thing he will not go to hell but will be treated with goodness and mercy in this world and the next. As we sow, so shall we reap. (Gal 6:7) There is no reason to believe otherwise.

Is There A Heaven And Hell?

This entry is part 35 of 57 in the series Mysteries

Question Thirty-Six

Is There A Heaven And Hell?

Most of the world religions believe in some kind of heaven or hell. Christians and Muslims especially affirm such a belief.

On the other hand, there are a growing number of people who are spiritually inclined who reject this notion. Many say there could not be a hell because a loving God would not send his children there.  Others trust in accounts given by those who had near death experiences who have returned stating that there is no hell even for the likes of Hitler. They ignore other near deathers who testify that they actually went to hell and experienced it for a time before returning.

Almost all believers in an afterlife accept that there is some version of heaven after death, but a lot of them have difficulty in accepting hell.

Again, we ask – what is the truth of the matter here? Is there a hell or not?

The answer is yes.  There is definitely a hell and I’ll prove it to you.  Even atheists will have to admit I am right on this one.

We know there is a hell because we have seen it and experienced it.  And I’m not talking about an unlucky few, but all of us.  We have all been through hell at one time or another right here in this mortal life, some though much more than others.

Here are examples of hellish experiences of ordinary folk we all know.

(1) Death of a loved one.

(2) A lost love or divorce.

(3) Dealing with a sick, distraught or out of control child.

(4) An unhappy marriage

(5) A tremendous loss of some kind.

(6) Great physical pain and discomfort.

(7) Jail time.

(8) Failure to achieve a dream

All these things are common happenings that most of us experience to some degree, but then there are other unfortunate people who are in a more permanent hell. Take someone who was in a serious accident and becomes a paraplegic. Which one of us who are healthy and strong would not admit that they would be in hell if they traded places with such a person?

And how about the person who is diagnosed with a terminal illness?  Not only does he now have a short time to live but it will also be physically and emotionally painful to the end.  Is that not a hell that all of us wish we could avoid?

Then there is a hell experienced by many millions on this planet who have little or no freedom.  The inhabitants of North Korea area prime example. They have to pretend to adore their dear leader and follow all he says or they will suffer prison or death. Many of them live on starvation diets, even resorting to eating tree bark to survive. Which of us would not consider ourselves living in hell if we had to trade places with some of those unfortunate souls?

Okay, then.  We have established that there is a hell, right here on earth, and many are experiencing it right now in real time. If there is a hell right here on earth then what makes some think that the next world will be only pure bliss with no negative experiences.

Much of the hell we experience on earth is due to our own illusions, bad judgment and attitude.   Does it make sense that just before death a person would be miserable with the results of his actions and then the moment after death he is suddenly happy with himself? Simple logic tells us this is not likely. If we can make ourselves happy or miserable in one sphere of activity then surely we have the power to choose that same mindset. Merely leaving one room and going to another doesn’t do a lot to eliminate the problems that come with living and moving from this world to the next is a little like changing rooms.

So, is there a lake of fire in the next world were the wicked suffer for eternity?

There is everything good and bad in the next world that you can imagine because all there is, is created by the thought, feelings and imaginations of the inhabitants. But just as pain and suffering is temporary here, so its it temporary there.  The words “everlasting” and “eternal” in the New Testament come from the Greek AIŌNIOS, which means “related to an age.”  An age is not eternal but a period of time with a beginning and an end.  All punishments in the next world are self-inflicted and when we stop the thought process that makes us miserable the supposed punishment will come to an end.

All sincere souls eventually find the heavenly realms and enjoy a period of rest and happiness among the many mansions or dwelling places that Jesus mentioned.

Why Are Near Death Experiences So Different?

This entry is part 34 of 57 in the series Mysteries

Question Thirty-Five

Why Are Near Death Experiences So Different?

Many believers are somewhat perplexed at the variety of near death experiences, some seemingly contradicting others. On the other hand, this just feeds the doubts of the skeptics who believe they are caused by the mind pulling tricks on us.

Yes, there are a wide variety of accounts given, but there are also a lot of similarities.  Here are a few.

(1) Many report leaving their body and looking back and seeing their lifeless body in the hospital room. Quite a few give evidence that they were not imagining things by correctly recalling conversations of hospital staff and actions that they made.

(2) There are consistent reports of encountering relatives, friends or assistants right after leaving the body. I read one account where the guy met a relative who died just before his near death experience, but was unaware of this. When he was brought back to life and told others who he had seen, he was then told for the first time that this person was dead and that must have been the reason he was able to see him while out of the body.

(3) Those who are out of the body for a while usually encounter a tunnel with a light at the end.

(4) Those who go through the tunnel usually have some otherworldly experience. Most seem to encounter some heavenly realm and unite with friends and family. Others encounter Jesus, God or some  angelic beings. Still others experience a hellish place that causes them to change their lives on recovery.

(5) They all report the experience was vivid and was sure it was not just imagined up by their physical brain.

(6) Many have greater spiritual sensitivity when revived as well as a miraculous recovery. They have lost their fear of death and seek to make a positive difference with the rest of their lives.

(7) Many report a life review.  They tell us that within a few seconds they were able to see all aspects of their life and how they affected others and made them feel.

These similarities give evidence that these people had some real experience.  On the other hand, numerous near death experiences seem to contradict each other.  Here are some examples.

(1) Some people’ meet Jesus, some God, some other religious figures.  Others meet no religious figures but sense a godlike presence.

(2) People often have an experience in harmony with their religion. These experiences seem to contract each other as their religions do. There are a number of cases where they have an experience that run contrary to their belief systems. This especially happens to atheists, but sometimes to believers also.

(3) Some get the impression that one life is all there is and others are taught that we are reborn on earth many times.

(4) Some come away from the experience thinking there is no hell and others say they visited an actual hell and encountered demons.

So what is the truth to the matter?  Here it is in a nutshell.

In this physical reality if we want to build something, like a house, we have to make an intense effort at gathering the materials and putting them together.

In the higher worlds available after death this is not the case.  There, our personal reality is created out of a refined matter manipulated by our thoughts and feelings.  All of our thoughts and feelings while in the body contribute to what we will experience when we are out of the body.  If you have directed a lot of thought, emotion, or even fear toward a religious figure you are likely to meet a representation of that being. Normally, this will not be the actual historical personage, but a representation created for you by a higher part of yourself working with your own thoughts and feelings.

Those who have illusions before death will continue to live in illusion after death.  This is why it is so important to find the truth and not be afraid to ponder on the truth of things that do not make sense.

What Happens After Death?

This entry is part 33 of 57 in the series Mysteries

Question Thirty-Four

What Happens After Death?

People have a variety of experiences right after death.  Quite a few separate in their etheric body and it is so much like the physical one they are oblivious to the fact they have passed over. These often learn they are dead when they catch a glimpse of their dead physical body.  This often comes as a shock to them.

The etheric body usually survives the physical death for a few days and then dissipates forcing the entity to move on to his spiritual home. But while it holds together he can hang around and even attend his own funeral if he desires.

The more a person’s consciousness is attached to this world the longer will his etheric body hold together causing him to hang around his associates.. The more spiritually inclined will separate from their etheric body quickly and not even attend their funeral.  This doesn’t stop them from tuning into it and being aware of what people are saying and thinking about him after his death.

After the energy of the etheric body dissipates, which can be immediately or a few days, the person then  enters that tunnel with a light at the end that we have all heard about.

This tunnel is actually the silver cord that connects a higher part of yourself to your body.  Then at death your consciousness follows this cord back to your source.  As you follow it, it seems as if you are traveling through a tunnel.

All the consciousness and intelligence which is you was not incarnated into your body in your life.  In life we are connected by a spiritual energy to a higher part of ourselves that resides in one of the planes of the spirit world.  The goal, at death is to reunite with this higher part of ourselves so we can function in the spirit world as a whole spiritual conscious being.

Unfortunately, most are not ready for that experience and have lessons to learn in connection with their past life on earth. Therefore, instead of a permanent merging with their higher self they will have a temporary one and this has been called the “life review.” During this merging they will be aware of several advanced beings guiding the process while they see their life from beginning to end.  As it passes like a holographic movie at great speed he will be aware of the effect of every action, thought and word that came from him. If he hurt people, even unknowingly, he will be aware of that. If he helped others or made them happy he will be aware of that.  After reviewing his life he will be aware of how successful his life was but most have a lot of disappointments over missed opportunities and harm that was caused.

After the review he goes to one of the many abodes that Jesus spoke of. Most people after death go to one of the places in the emotional/astral world.  These numerous dwelling places are created out of emotional/desire energy and since there is such a wide variety of desires in this world there is correspondingly a large number of worlds created from those desires.

For instance, if the person is devoutly religious he will go to a place where that religion dominates for it is created by the thoughts and desires of those who belonged to it while dwelling on earth. Here he will meet church leaders who will be in charge of the society there and he will be expected to abide by the church rules or be sent away to some dark place.

Here he will be able to see the results of his beliefs which he cherished on earth.  They will come to life for him and he’ll be able to witness how well they work in bringing happiness to him and others.

If he is a Christian his group will adore Jesus.  If he is a Buddhist they will honor Buddha and if he is a Muslim they will find their virgins if they think they are worthy and see Mohammed as the dominating entity.

The Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed or other holy figure will rarely be the real one.  It will either be an actor playing the role or a creation of group thought.  All this is designed to teach us what the result would be in the afterlife if our beliefs were true.

Entities get stuck in these astral illusions until they begin to realize that something is amiss. It will be a little like the Twilight Zone episode where the guy thought he went to heaven because he was given everything he desired.  Then when he realized his desires were not making him happy he discovered he wasn’t in heaven after all, but hell.

Most people have a belief system which is full of illusions.  This not only includes religious people but other ideologies as well.  Those who place politics above religion will go to a place governed by the political system of their dreams. Unfortunately, for them, most will discover that their ideas do not work that well and the authoritarian system they are under will eventually make them miserable and they will desire to move on to something else.

An atheist will attempt to deny his after life conscious existence for some time, depending on how hardened his views are.  Sooner or later though he has to open up his consciousness to his new world.  He will be met by other atheists who are forced to acknowledge that there is some type of other dimension they are living in, but they still see it as a creation of natural evolution and neither do they acknowledge the existence of God.

Those few who love the truth and allow it to set them free are able to bypass the worlds of illusion and reunite with their higher selves. These are able to see things as they are and to visit most any abode, person or world they desire.

Keys Writings 2014, Part 1

The Third Degree

The Third Degree Initiate

This is called the Transfiguration and was illustrated by Jesus on the Mount of Transfigurations where his disciples saw him glowing like the sun.

Three things happen that consummate this initiation.

(1) The seeker encounters the Dweller on the Threshold. This has sometimes been described by disciples as an encounter with Satan but in reality it is an encounter with a powerful thoughtform of his own making.  Even so, dark entities opposed to the disciple’s mission may use the situation in an attempt to frustrate the fledgling disciple.

This encounter was related in the life of Jesus after his baptism when he encountered Satan in the wilderness and was tempted.

Joseph Smith gave an interesting description of his encounter with the Dweller:

“After I had retired to the place where I had previously designed to go, having looked around me, and finding myself alone, I kneeled down and began to offer up the desires of my heart to God. I had scarcely done so, when immediately I was seized upon by some power which entirely overcame me, and had such an astonishing influence over me as to bind my tongue so that I could not speak. Thick darkness gathered around me, and it seemed to me for a time as if I were doomed to sudden destruction.”

(2) He has an encounter with the Angel of the Presence.

He encounters a powerful spiritual presence that will give him a sure knowledge of the two choices.  The one choice is the path of destruction represented by the Dweller and the other is the path of life represented by the Presence.

This presence was represented by Jesus when he was visited by Elijah and Moses. Then Moses encountered the Presence on Mt. Sinai

Joseph Smith gives this account of his experience:

“But, exerting all my powers to call upon God to deliver me out of the power of this enemy which had seized upon me, and at the very moment when I was ready to sink into despair and abandon myself to destruction–not to some imaginary ruin, but to the power of some actual being from the unseen world, who had such marvelous power as I had never before felt in any being–just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.

“It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other–This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!”

Paul, on the other hand, was blinded by a great light and heard the voice of Christ. This experience can take many forms but however it comes, it will be intense.

(3) He will receive enlightenment and the path of true knowledge will open up for him.  This was symbolized in the life of Paul after he was blinded by the Presence for which he was not fully prepared. His blindness produced scales over his eyes that kept out the light but when he sought help from a servant of God the scales were removed.  It is written:

Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 9:18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

Every disciple must have the scales of illusion removed before the Third Initiation is complete.

The First Degree Initiate achieves mastery over physical impulses, the Second over the emotions and glamour while the Third centers himself in the mind and masters illusion.

This initiation signals to the Hierarchy that they have a disciple available who can be trusted.  And why is that?  It is because illusion must be able to be perceived or the disciple could be tricked and led astray.  Good intentions are not enough, for many with good intentions have been led astray by illusionary beliefs and have done great harm in the process.

Now this does not mean that this initiate is perfect by any means or, that he understands all illusion. But when faced with a problem where illusion is present he can pierce through the fog and see correctly as he wrestles with it. Even the Masters are subject to some illusion that they have not yet dealt with, but when the time comes to face it they will see with true vision. The average seeker cannot do this and gets slowed down with numerous illusionary beliefs.

After the disciple achieves the Third Initiation his power to initiate things in this world is increased and the things he creates will be much more likely to endure after his death. The reason for the greater endurance is his work will have fewer flaws because they were created by one who could see through illusion.

Nathan:

One isolated powerful hurricane—correct, but multiple powerful hurricanes over a short time is indicative of climate change. Since the latter has become somewhat of a trend, there is cause for concern.

JJ

You should know by now you should do your homework and  not just repeat lefty talking points.  Here are some facts for you.

The 2013 Atlantic hurricane season had the fewest number of hurricanes since 1982. Link

2013 shatters the record for fewest U.S. tornadoes — 15% lower than previous record — 2013 also had the fewest U.S. forest fires since 1984. Link

Nathan:

Ice in Antarctica. Who’d have thought?

JJ

Looks like the global warming alarmists didn’t think because they didn’t anticipate the ice.

Why?

Because they believed their own propaganda on global warming. LOL

Update on Global Warming Ship:

98% of Stories Ignore That Ice-bound Ship Was On Global Warming Mission. Link

I watched a report on it on Fox News and even they didn’t mention the ship had global warming scientists and tourists.

Jareth is correct that we should work on developing cleaner fuels. Coal is the big culprit that needs replaced as it pollutes much more than petroleum.

The best chances of switching to cleaner fuels in the next 50 years depends on a strong free market economy.  If we impose trillions of dollars of various climate change taxes we are likely to strangle the economy and  thus sabotage the innovation that global warming alarmists claim they need.

Check out my global warming dialog starting here:

Nathan:

The problem with that JJ is that you consider anything which disagrees with you on more than one key issue as leftist.

JJ

Wow.  You are as wrong as wrong can be.  If you do not think that the alarmist global warming doctrine is an issue from the Left then I have a bridge to sell you cheap. Even most leftists see it as an issue accepted by themselves while falsely calling the Right “climate change deniers.”

Nathan:

Righty talking points are also apparently fine for you.

JJ

What is fine with me is the truth.  This is what I will promote whether from the Left or Right. The big problem with reasoning with a lefty is their intolerance.  The right is much more tolerant of disagreements.  When I disagree with them they are still civil, but disagree with lefties and they totally reject and stereotype you.

Nathan:

You puke them on your website and discussion group all the time without “doing your homework” (linking to websites like American Thinker, World Net Daily, and Breitbart Media is not “doing your homework”).

JJ

I haven’t referenced any of those sites in this discussion so what puke are you talking about?

So any site I reference with which you disagree is puke but when I reference liberal sites that is good stuff, right. What a weird way to think.

I do not care what the source is for information – my only question is – is it accurate? Facts are usually easy to verify, though theory is not. If you refuse to check sites that do not conform to your belief system then you are censoring yourself and your view will be one sided.

Nathan:

You cannot use one year of relaxed weather as conclusive proof that climate change is not happening. You are confusing weather and climate again.

JJ

A year is a climate indicator which is used by all climate scientists.

Yet lefties will use a single incident that will last a couple days and shout “Climate Change – we need  to do something fast!!! Tax the Rich – tax the corporations etc.”

JJ Quote

Looks like the global warming alarmists didn’t think because they didn’t anticipate the ice.

Nathan:

No climate scientist has ever said that they expect the polar ice to disappear.

JJ

No one said that but they did think ice was disappearing in many areas and they had a big surprise when they were trapped in ice. Do you really think they would have taken the trip if they realized there would be so much ice building up?

Chris Turney, the expedition’s leader, is a professor of climate change at the University of South Wales. According to Turney’s personal website, the purpose of the expedition is to “discover and communicate the environmental changes taking place in the south.” Link

Obviously, one of those changes was melting ice.

It is silly that this is a political issue.  We should study it by use of facts and not one, but both sides should be presented if we really want to find the truth. Whenever a skeptic surfaces the Left merely calls them names like a “denier” or “flat earther” and then retreats under a rock.

Choice Karma Continued

Quote from JJ

I do not care what the source is for information – my only question is – is it accurate?

Nathan:

If I didn’t check sites that don’t conform to my beliefs, then I would be on here typing this, but I am and, as usual, find the right wing talking points lacking.

JJ

You are full of contradictions.  First you rattle off several right leaning sites, criticizing me for using them and now you claim to be open minded and use them.

If this forum does not suit your beliefs then why are you here?  Do you see it as a mission to set us straight?

Whatever the case, all are welcome as long as they act civilly.

Nathan:

Also, I accept that which gives good credence. That is, it has good reason to be believed.

JJ

I don’t see much evidence of this.

JJ Quote: **No one said that but they did think ice was disappearing in many areas and they had a big surprise when they were trapped in ice. Do you really think they would have taken the trip if they realized there would be so much ice building up?

Chris Turney, the expedition’s leader, is a professor of climate change at the University of South Wales. According to Turney’s personal website, the purpose of the expedition is to “discover and communicate the environmental changes taking place in the south.”**

Nathan:

I don’t understand what ways they planned on studying the region JJ, but I highly doubt they were just there to look out the window and see how much ice there was. Based on what you’re saying, it would seem that that is your assumption. The article says they were still conducting studies as they were stuck in the ice.

JJ

I wasn’t assuming anything but what was reported which was that a group interested in the effects of global arming went down there to observe its effects. Then cosmic humor gives us the irony of them getting stuck in ice. Kinda funny.

Nathan:

And whenever a proponent surfaces, the Right merely calls them alarmists or politically motivated

JJ

To differentiate between people like myself who believe there has been global warming and others who want to spend trillions countering it or we are doomed, we use he word “alarmist.”

The ones we are concerned about are those who want to take our money and then pour it down a sinkhole that will have negligible effect on the climate but will hurt the economies of the entire planet.  Those who want trillions from us are the true alarmists.  They can only siphon off such money by convincing us that Armageddon is near.

Nathan:

…then goes back to looking out the window and saying “Look at all that ice, the climate isn’t changing!”

JJ

Another imaginary straw man not pertinent to the discussion.  It is the Left that takes individual weather incidents and cries global warming! After Katrina Al Gore said this was happening because of global warming and there was much more to come. Then most of the years after that we had fewer hurricanes than average.

Nathan:

Some of them, like John Shimkus, will even say that man-made climate change is impossible because the Bible says that it is God’s responsibility.

JJ

Most of the people here disagree with this type of religious fundamentalists as much as we do left wing extremists.

LWK

**Ok, you don’t accept one year. Give us a source covering a number of years showing how we are really experiencing climate change and hurricanes are getting more numerous and worse due to it. Where is your evidence that something is happening?**

Nathan:

I already gave you a source. Here it is again.

JJ

Instead of just throwing out websites you should point out an area of disagreement and state your case why you think it is wrong. I could give you dozens of good websites supporting my view, but that would be a lazy approach if that was all I did.

Nathan:

Here are more specific relevant pieces.

JJ

The facts are that sea ice is increasing in Antarctica and land ice is decreasing but overall there is an increase. Link

Throughout the world, for the past 11,000 years (long before the global warming scare) glaciers and ice at the poles has been melting and sea levels have gradually risen. The current rise in sea level of about the width of a dime a year is not unusual or alarming.

Nathan:

On the increase in tropical storms and their strength: http://www.skepticalscience.com/hurricanes-global-warming.htm

Here’s what your guy says:

In the case of storm frequency, there is no consensus “… two recent peer-reviewed studies completely contradict each other. One paper predicts considerably more storms due to global warming. Another paper suggests the exact opposite – that there will be fewer storms in the future.”

When we look at the hurricanes and tornadoes that cause us real problems there hasn’t been much change that can be associated with warming.

Your guy gives this misleading statement:

“extra heat in the air or the oceans is a form of energy, and storms are driven by such energy.”

If he was right about heat driving storms then the worst storms in the solar system should be on Venus which is 900 degrees F. The funny thing is that planet is very calm with little wind or change, but lots of CO2.

And where are the fiercest storms?  They are on the coldest planet, Neptune.  It is over 300 degrees below zero and has storms up to 1200 MPH.

Storms are not driven by heat or cold but temperature differences in the atmosphere.

Nathan:

On receding glaciers: http://www.skepticalscience.com/himalayan-glaciers-growing.htm

JJ

It is established fact that glaciers have been retreating for thousands of years (long before automobiles) with a few growth cycles in between. Not much of an argument there.

Nathan:

If you do not like the website because of its admittedly potential bias, then by all means go search for the references that their articles provide.

JJ

Actually for an alarmist it is a pretty good site.  He does have some good information and does allow opposing comments which is unusual for an orthodox global warmer. I do see a lot of bias and omissions though.

LWK

**From what I’ve read there hasn’t been a budge in global temperatures for quite some time. **

Nathan:

From what you have read? What did you read? What did it say? Where is the information from? It sounds like you are wanting me to take your word for it.

JJ

It is pretty common knowledge that there has been a lull in global warming.  Last year was cooler than it was in 1998. Global warning seems to have reached a plateau in 1998 and leveled off. This article gives a chart giving yearly data.

Check out Roy Spencer’s site for more information: Link

Here is an interesting story pertinent to our discussion:

Antarctic ice shelf melt ‘lowest EVER recorded, global warming is NOT eroding it’ Link

lwk

Think this is what we are going to see going forward as the climate-changers revise their talking points.

1. That which advances their view will be “climate change.”

2. That which does not advance their view will just be “weather.”

JJ

Great foresight Larry. Actually it is mostly true now, but no one I know of has stated the fact in black and white as you have.

There is no way to win the argument wit these guys.  If the weather warms it’s global warming.  if it cools it’s global warming and if it stays virtually  the same, as it has for 16 years, it’s still global warming.

Then if we have good weather it’s global warming and  bad weather is global warming. Then if weather is normal it’s global warming.

There’s no way to argue with these guys or present evidence, even if they had an approaching glacier in their back yard.

The Fourth Degree Initiate

This initiation is called The Great Renunciation and was consummated by Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Another famous renunciation appears in the story of Abraham where he was commanded to sacrifice his son which would seem to void the very promise of God.

The Third Initiation is important to the Guides of the Race because those who pass it can see the path clearly and are not likely to be deceived or lead students on the path of illusion or harm.

There is then left another question in the minds of the Higher Lives which is:

“Is this disciple willing to sacrifice his choicest personal desires in service to higher purpose and to humanity?

In order to prove his worth a path is set up by his soul in a certain life so all circumstances will come together at a point in time to test the disciple to his very core.

We all realize that Jesus sacrificed his life, but even this is not enough to pass the test.  Jesus sacrificed something more dearly to him which was the greatest desire of his heart.  And what was this?

It was the opportunity to establish the kingdom of God upon the earth.  With the power that he possessed, the glory he was achieving and the knowledge he had, it seemed that if he could stay on the earth long enough that the prophesied kingdom could be built.

But instead of taking this direction, the Father within commanded him to give up this righteous desire and sacrifice himself instead.

Giving up what seemed to be the greatest opportunity in the history of the world was a greater sacrifice than his life.

Abraham received a promise by the voice of God that he would have a son and through him he would have a great posterity. He had to wait until the age of a hundred to see the birth of his promised son Isaac.  Isaac was the thing in his life that was dearest to his heart because it represented a miraculous fulfillment of the promise of God to gladden his life’s purpose.

Then he was told to sacrifice his son.  That was tough enough, but what was even tougher was that Isaac’s death would mean the promise of God could not be fulfilled and would make God out to be a liar.  It is pretty devastating to consider that God does not tell the truth.  This made his decision to obey exceedingly difficult but through great faith he proceeded and the sacrifice was aborted and it turned out that God was true to His word after all.

What the sacrifice is not.  It is not composed of difficulties imposed on a disciple by circumstances not of his choosing. For instance, if a disciple loses his wife, kids, job, fortune, health etc contrary to his choosing through normal living this has nothing to do with the test.

What it is:  It involves a powerful choice to sacrifice that which is dearest above all to his whole being.  That choice will be revealed to him from his higher self and will come to him with great spiritual power. He will know the source is true and that he is not some crazy person hearing voices. It will test his very faith in God because the command will seem contrary to anything that a decent God would tell him to do.

Once the test is passed the disciple can then be trusted to initiate a work that will change the world in some degree and move the purpose of God forward on the earth.

If Jesus had not passed this test he would have not gone on to the death and resurrection and his life would have probably been lost to history.

Few seekers are close to the place on the path where they could pass the Great Renunciation, but instead are preparing for that future day through current sacrifices. Many opportunities come in daily living where a person can sacrifice personal desire in order to further service for humanity. Such sacrifices bring their own rewards.

The Fifth Degree Initiate

This is called the Initiation of Revelation.  This is the initiation wherein the disciple becomes a Master, often called a “Master of Wisdom.”

He masters may things to get to this point but the most important thing of all is wisdom, for without wisdom intelligence, as we understand it, can often lead to wrong bullheaded directions.

We all know people who are extremely smart in certain areas, but then in other endeavors they seem to be as dumb as a rock.  It is an amazing thing to observe.

This dichotomy is most obvious today in the field of politics.

For instance the support of Big Government doing for the people by force of law what the people can do much better for themselves through private enterprise is not wise at all yet many people who are smart, accomplished and well spoken support this direction.

The person with wisdom sees that the use of force should only be used when absolutely necessary, such as in the control and prevention of criminal acts. But to go beyond this and use force to compel people to conform to one’s desire of what is good for them lays the foundation for great evil.

The disciple spends numerous lifetimes learning to use wisdom in such a way that maximum freedom for the individual and group is preserved.

There are many first and second degree initiates who are deceived into thinking that people need to be compelled to share their wealth for the sake of equality, or that we need lots of laws to prevent us from taking what is not good into our bodies, or we needs lots of government protection to save us from our own stupidity etc.

Good intentions is not a sign of wisdom.  The power to discern and follow that which produces the most positive results is the true indicator of wisdom.

He who is on the path toward becoming a Master of Wisdom will discern the workings of the stolen authority of the Beast and avoid falling into the various traps.

For instance, many people will follow the advice of their doctor without question merely because he is an authority and society says he knows more than you do about health.

He who is on the path of wisdom will listen to the inner voice and if it says to question the doctor’s advice he will question and do his own research and come to his own conclusions.

The Fifth Degree Initiate has wrestled with the Beast for many lifetimes and has finally escaped his mark through mastering wisdom and applying it.

The journey toward the Fifth Initiation and becoming a Master begins in earnest after the disciple passes the Fourth Initiation, the Great Renunciation. After this his focus is taken away from self toward fulfilling the purpose of God. He contemplates this regularly and then one day he receives a major revelation. Knowledge and principles comes to him of things that are not written in any book commonly available to humanity. He then sees how to use this knowledge to move the progress of his fellow men and women forward.

To become a Master he must teach and implement to some degree that which he has received.  He has to do his part given to him to the satisfaction of his soul.

You’ll notice that most of the masters of whom we have knowledge have been teachers of original material and have initiated a work of some kind in the process.  Some known to us include Jesus, Paul, Buddha and DK. Our knowledge of other masters is quite sketchy.  Then too, some of them have performed great works for which they received little or no historical credit.

Not a lot of information is given out on the higher initiations.  What little there is, is given by DK.

The Sixth is the Initiation of Decision which is brought about by the understanding of true freedom of choice.  The Initiate must now choose his next path from one of these seven categories:

1. The Path of Earth Service.

2. The Path of Magnetic Work.

3. The Path of Training for Planetary Logoi.

4. The Path to Sirius.

5. The Ray Path.

6. The Path the Logos Himself Is On.

7. The Path of Absolute Sonship.

The Seventh is the Initiation of Resurrection.  This brings “Freedom from the hold of the phenomenal life of the seven planes of our planetary Life.  It is in reality a ‘lifting out of or above’ the cosmic physical plane.”

This may be a little above our pay grade.

Questions

When did Joesph Smith under go his third initiation? Can’t recall anything in his known history approximating the transfiguration.

Below is Joseph’s description of his third initiation experience.  Note that he meets his Dweller followed by the Angel of the Presence as described by DK.  Because this happened when he was 14 (16 by another account), and before the age of 21, it tells us he was repeating an initiation from a previous life.

Initiations are different for different people. Moses and Jesus experieced a physical effect of their faces glowing whereas Paul, Buddha, Joseph Smith and others had other effects. But, they all met their Dweller followed by the Presence, followed by enlightenment.

JSH 1:14 So, in accordance with this, my determination to ask of God, I retired to the woods to make the attempt. It was on the morning of a beautiful, clear day, early in the spring of eighteen hundred and twenty. It was the first time in my life that I had made such an attempt, for amidst all my anxieties I had never as yet made the attempt to pray vocally.

JSH 1:15 After I had retired to the place where I had previously designed to go, having looked around me, and finding myself alone, I kneeled down and began to offer up the desires of my heart to God. I had scarcely done so, when immediately I was seized upon by some power which entirely overcame me, and had such an astonishing influence over me as to bind my tongue so that I could not speak. Thick darkness gathered around me, and it seemed to me for a time as if I were doomed to sudden destruction.

JSH 1:16 But, exerting all my powers to call upon God to deliver me out of the power of this enemy which had seized upon me, and at the very moment when I was ready to sink into despair and abandon myself to destruction–not to some imaginary ruin, but to the power of some actual being from the unseen world, who had such marvelous power as I had never before felt in any being–just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.

JSH 1:17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other–This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!

Global Warming Cult

During this cold spell it is amusing to watch panicked global warming alarmists quaking in their boots at the public reaction and assuring us that that this cooling we are experiencing is really global warming.

Then if you tell them that the temperatures have remained flat since 1998 they tell us that even if the temperature is not rising we are still experiencing global warming.

There is nothing we can experience that will convince them they are wrong. Even if the whole earth turned into a ball of ice they would say it is global warming.

There are many similarities to a religious cult.

1. Empirical evidence does not change their minds.

2. They have their prophets of doom.

3. They warn of a coming apocalypse.

4. They allow no dissent within the ranks.

5. They are extremely authoritarian.

6. They attempt to brainwash children, not allowing exposure to alternative views.

7. They label dissenters as heretics and deniers of the faith.

8. They will not debate with skeptics, but dismiss and ridicule them instead.

9. Their believers are generally uninformed of arguments that do not back up their faith.

10. They are after your money.

New Book

I have been contemplating for some time how I can fulfill my next step in the work to be done.

As a reminder, that next step, which I have been working on for some time, is to get something out there that will attract the public consciousness to a significant degree.

A small number of sincere seekers love my books and writings so far, but that is not enough to create change.  I have to produce something that will draw significant attention.

I have an idea for a book that has potential to do this.  It will be a fairly short book with small chapters and will be called:

Answers to the Mysteries of the Universe

Each chapter will give short but provocative answers to questions that many have wondered about. Then in most cases they can get more information by going to the website.

I will be posting he chapters here for my friends but will take them off after the book is published.

Here is the introduction:

The Avatar of Synthesis

The Avatar of Synthesis is from another solar system and has descended down to the mental plane in an effort to assist disciples.

I have felt his presence several times but we don’t have enough going at this time to warrant his full attention, outside of checking in from time to time.  I assume he is working to empower other disciples as opportunity to move the work forward surfaces.

What Is There That Survives Death?

This entry is part 32 of 57 in the series Mysteries

Question Thirty-Three

What Is There That Survives Death?

Jesus taught his disciples,

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2

The word “mansions” is translated from the Greek MONĒ and doesn’t mean “mansion” as is used today, but merely indicates a dwelling place. Jesus was telling his disciples that there are many different types of dwelling places after death and he would assist the disciples in preparing one for them.

Traditional religion teaches that there is merely one heaven and one hell, but such is not the case as witnessed by the words of Jesus that there are many dwelling places.

To understand life after death it is helpful to understand life before death in the here and now. We are much more than physical bodies that come to life as sophisticated machines just to be extinguished when the body wears out.

The physical body we can see and touch is merely an outer shell. Coexisting with this is a duplicate body made of more refined substance called the etheric body. It is a composed of a great electrical system that holds our body together and gives it life and shape. After it withdraws from the body its shape begins to disintegrate.

The existence of the etheric body is easy to prove because all people can see it with a little practice.  It extends a millimeter or two from the physical body and if you hold your two thumbs about a quarter inch apart against a light background and look at the empty space between them for a minute you’ll see your second body extending from your skin.

Another part of ourselves that we all know is real is our emotional selves.  There is a more refined state of matter that is created from emotional energy and within us, co-existing with our physical bodies, is a body made of emotional matter.  This is often called the astral body. This astral body can also be proven to exist because it radiates beautiful colors called the aura and with a little practice most people can be trained to see it. When a person gets his first real glimpse of the aura he is indeed convinced. Each person will radiate some dominant color depending on his mood, intellect and state of mind.

On top of this, we know the emotional world is as real as the physical because we feel emotions very strongly. Feeling an emotion, whether it be love or hate, is as real as anything we can verify with our eyes. What goes beyond orthodox thinking here is that dwelling places made of emotional matter coexist with this physical world as well as within our own bodies. Feelings these emotional energies is as real as feeling a physical object.

There is another part of ourselves that we all acknowledge to exist and that is our minds. Many make the mistake of thinking our minds are created by our brains but mind exists independent of the physical brain.  The brain is merely a very complex computer.  A computer merely operates on a program which are instructions created by a thinker or mind. A computer and the thinker using the computer are two different things.

The mind part of ourselves uses more than the brain. It uses other parts of ourselves to further the thinking process. The heart is the second organ used by the thinker as witnessed by Solomon, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7

We all can feel the thinker within us using the brain, the heart and the body as a whole to further our desires, but what is not realized is that there is a higher state of matter created by mental energy.  Not only do we have coexisting within us physical, etheric, and emotional bodies, but we also have a mental body created of mental matter.

These higher states of matter account for some of the missing matter that science believes is out there but haven’t been able to find yet.  They call it dark matter, but it would be more appropriate to call it “light matter.”

The most obvious evidence of mental matter is the fact that we know for sure there is such a thing as invisible mind and thought.  By thought we can create images that we can see within our mind.  Unknown to orthodoxy is that those thoughts organize and move around real matter from the mental world.

Things from the mental world can be seen, but seeing them while in the physical body is very difficult and takes a lot of practice. Once the seeing is mastered a person can see mental matter around us which is controlled by thought.

As I said we are composed first of a physical body, then the etheric, then the emotional/astral which radiates colors. Another part of us extends about an arm’s length and is the shape of an egg enveloping the physical body. Mental energy circulates around the aura and our thoughts project on the outer film geometric forms, which represent what we are thinking. If a person could see those projected forms around another person and interpret the meaning then he could read his thoughts.

The physical/etheric, the emotional/astral and the mental compose three states of matter which create forms, but that which makes up our whole composition is much more than these. There are higher worlds of refined energy and life that are above these.  The essence, which is human, clothed itself in seven layers of energy in order to descend from God to come to this physical world. I have written much more about these seven planes in my various works but for simplicity’s sake we’ll just call the worlds above the mind, the spiritual world, a world of spiritual energy and thought.

Our more refined bodies that survive death are connected to the physical by a silver cord which is actually mentioned in the Bible.  It says

“Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Eccl12:6-7

The silver cord is connected to the body, usually somewhere up the spine and is severed at death when the “golden bowl,” or the etheric body, is dissipated. Then the more spiritual parts of ourselves go to one of the many mansions or dwelling places.  We’ll cover that next.

Is There Life After Death?

This entry is part 31 of 57 in the series Mysteries

Part III

Questions From The Spiritual Seeker

Question Thirty-Two

Is There Life After Death?

The short answer is yes.  We could just leave it at that but this is an important question and deserves some comment.

If you don’t believe in life after death you are in the minority.  Polls show that somewhere between 70-80% of the U.S. population believe in some type of afterlife as well as the majorities in most nations of the earth.

What’s more, a belief in an afterlife has been growing in recent years.  Part of the reason for this is the popularization of near death experiences.  People have had near death experiences since history began but it has only been in recent decades that these experiences have been published for mass distribution.

Near death experiences used to be seen as a rare anomaly, but now they have received such publicity that people feel more comfortable talking about them.  They are not so afraid of being seen as being a crazy person as in the past. Researches figure that about a third of the people who have a significant close encounter with death have a near death experience.

Some researchers try and explain these experiences away saying that they come from a part of the brain which remains intact after the heart stops beating.

But this does not explain two things:

(1) Many describe the experience as being extremely vivid with a reality of greater intensity than life on earth. It is so vivid that many non-believers have been converted by the experience.

(2) Many have reported leaving their body and overhearing conversations and witnessing events that were verified as being true and accurate. Sometimes these events took place in the hospital and other times accurate information was retrieved from a significant distance in time or space.

The many witnesses of these experiences give powerful evidence to the fact that life not only continues when the heart stops, but one can leave his body and continue with conscious existence.

In addition to the near death experience there are numerous current studies of supernatural experiences of people who are approaching death.  Perhaps the most famous in recent times occurred with Steve Jobs.

One of Steve’s sisters, Mona Simpson, gave this account of the moment of his passing. She said, “Before embarking, he’d looked at his sister Patty, then for a long time at his children, then at his life’s partner, Laurene, and then over their shoulders past them.”

After looking at something in the background he exclaimed, “Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow.” Then he passed and went to that amazing place he saw.

There are many other accounts of those on deathbeds seeing relatives standing beside them, often even talking to them. Still others have died for a few moments, came back and comforted loved ones with accounts of the beautiful world they are going to and then leaving again.

Perhaps the greatest evidence of life after death will come to the person who reflects on his own existence.  Try to visualize not existing. It is pretty difficult to do. We may think it would be something like sleep, but even in sleep we live through dreams and when we are not dreaming we still have an awareness of existing and a sense of the passing of time.

Now imagine this.  If you ceased to exist at death it would then be as if neither you, your loved ones, planet earth or the universe ever existed. Life would have no meaning because as soon as you ceased to exist everything in the universe would cease to exist also.  There would be no you to verify the existence of anything. It would be as if existence never was.

This is indeed a strange thought when you consider it and runs contrary to the essence of the life that dwells in us.

What is life, but intelligent energy?  Since energy cannot be destroyed then skeptics ought to bet on the idea that the energy which is you and me will continue. Ahh, even if we are in illusion, life is so much better when we see ourselves as continuing to exist after the body that houses us wears out. Fortunately, the reality of continuing life can be sensed by something within us that does not die.
