Applying the Point of Tension

Texas Gathering, Part Four
Applying the Point of Tension

We’re talking about the steps to create the point of tension; to create a down flow of spiritual energy or attention of lives higher than ourselves. What are additional steps we can take?

Response: I remember you telling us the story when you were a kid and healed a classmate from MS using the name of Jesus Christ. Was a point of tension involved?

JJ: The point of tension in that situation, created there was this. I was sixteen years old and had just been reading in the scriptures about the power of faith and how the prophets of ancient times were able to do these great miracles. I was thinking to myself, “Why don’t we see this in the churches today? We don’t see anything today like the ancient prophets did.” I was thinking that as I was walking home then saw a friend of mine who had been struck with multiple sclerosis a couple weeks previously. She was about a year younger than I was, about fifteen. I saw her but she didn’t see me. I looked in her yard and she was hobbling on these crutches and really struggling to get into her house. I really felt sorry for her.

I was thinking, “The scriptures say that if you ask something in the name of Christ it will be given to you.” So I wondered what would stop me right this minute from demanding her to be healed? Why shouldn’t I do this? At the time I was just starting to go to the Mormon Church and they were telling me you had to have the priesthood and the authority from God, given from the church to you, before you could heal somebody. You had to be an elder or something like that. I was a priest in the church and priests are not supposed to have any power to heal. Once you’re an elder you can have the power to heal. The funny thing is that the elders didn’t heal anybody that I could see. So I thought, “What’s to prevent me from healing her?”

But then I thought to myself, “But the church says I need to be an elder before I can perform any healing ordinance. I’m just a priest so maybe I better not do anything.” But then I thought, “But wait, the scripture says, ‘Whatsoever you ask in the name of Christ, will be given.’ So what’s to prevent me from commanding her in the name of Christ to be healed? What’s to prevent me from doing that?” Then I argued back and forth with myself. The church says you have to have the priesthood to heal. But the scriptures say that whatever you ask in the name of Christ will be given. I kept going back and forth in my mind. But the church says I’m just a priest and I’m not supposed to be attempting anything like this.

I kept going back and forth in my mind until finally I said, “I’m going to side with the scriptures. The scriptures say ‘whatsoever you ask in the name of Christ will be done.’ So I’m going to try it out and see if it works.” So I reached forth my hand and I said, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to be healed.” At that instant I felt a tremendous surge of power go through me. It was so powerful I almost fell down. I ran home. I was scared to death. I thought, “The church must be right. I must’ve really offended God. I think He tried to strike me dead or something.” So I was really nervous and that energy kept going through me until the next day. The next day I felt okay again and thought that I was never going to try that again! I thought I must’ve really irritated God.

Two days later when I went to school the girl was there and had no crutches and seemed perfectly well. I went up to her and said, “I thought you were all crippled and everything.” She said no, the doctor said she’d gone into remission and seemed to be okay now. I asked her if it would come back. She said the doctor had told her it probably would but sometimes in MS you do go into remission. We went all through high school and she remained in remission. We graduated from high school without her going out of remission. I didn’t see her again for 15-20 years. A couple of years ago Artie and I were having a meal in a restaurant and this lady comes over to me and says, “You’re Joe Dewey, are you?” I said yea and asked who she was. She introduced herself and it turned out to be this old schoolmate. I said, “Oh, you had MS back in high school, didn’t you? Did that ever come back?” She said no, it had never come back. Her husband was dead but she was still alive. So, that was interesting.

There have been times when I wanted to do that again but felt constrained not to do it. But in that particular case a point of tension was created. I believe the point of tension was in the argument in my mind between the authorities in the church and the spirit that is within the pure truth of the scriptures; the pure truth that if you have faith you can actually move mountains. I believe that witness gained from the surge of power that went through me from God at that time and caused this to happen was even more important than for this woman to be healed for it taught me a great lesson. It taught me to prepare me for things to come because if I hadn’t learned lessons like that I may still be tied down to the simple doctrines of some church somewhere and not be able to move beyond them.

It’s important that none of us are tied down. This is part of the point of tension to move beyond authority and the power that be in the world that want to talk us out of following that which is within. It’s like Artie and I were looking at the map and I said, “Artie if we go on this back road here we can get where we want to be.” She said, “No, let’s go on this main road. If we go on the main road it will be a lot better.” I said, “In theory you’re right, but I’m not sure we can find that road simply.” I looked at the map and it wasn’t really clear how to get to this main road. She insisted we go on this main road. Something in me told me not to do that. Something in me told me to take the back road but I ignored it because a wife is a very powerful influence. Sometimes if you ignore their advice you get in trouble. So I took her advice and it took us ages to find this main road. The signs in Texas are really weird. It said East when it really meant West and it said North when it meant East. So we went around in circles several times before we found this main road. I had an instinct that told me to take these side roads. I should’ve listened. I kick myself for not listening. So this is the way it is in life. We must listen to our instincts and above our instincts we must listen especially to the soul within. This is an extremely important thing for us to listen to.

Concerning the healing my soul within was telling me that there was something more powerful than having authority given to you by anybody here upon the earth. And that is your relationship between you and God. If you feel within yourself, from the spirit of God, that you should do something, it doesn’t matter who tries to talk you out of it. You should do it. It doesn’t matter whether they be prophet, priest, king or even an angel or some kind appearing out of the blue. You must follow the highest you know. None of us do that all the time. All of us are talked out of what we should do once in awhile. I still find myself being talked out of something once in awhile even though I’ve been trying to correct myself again and again and again. Sometimes I hit it right and other times I don’t listen carefully enough.

All of us are in that boat. Sometimes we don’t listen to the inner voice carefully enough. The thing that all of us have to learn is to listen to that inner voice when it speaks truly. To recognize that inner voice is important because for some of us that inner voice is really just what we want. When we pray for something our prayers are answered because we get what we want rather than what the Higher-Powers-That-Be want from us. When we yield our will to the will of God, then the inner voice will be strong and will be true and we can try it and test it and find it’s reliable. But every time something comes to us, which is true from the Inner Spirit, it will seem like there is an army trying to gather around us to try to distract us from following that voice. Have you ever had that happen? You get something in you that you know is true and it’s like an army of forces begins to gather to try to pull you away from it?

For example, when I received the revelation that I was supposed to marry Artie it was amazing the army that gathered around her to try to talk her out of marrying me. Her daughter thought that I was like Jim Jones. She called everybody she knew. Her dad, which is Artie’s past husband, and convinced him that I was some weirdo with one hand with quirks like Egor; that I was just really weird. She painted the strangest picture. She called her grandma and her grandma flew up here. She immediately got on a plane to save her daughter from this terrible person. Her daughter conjured up this image of me out of the blue and communicated it to everyone we knew. Within days Artie had an army around her to try to talk her out of what she received within herself for we had both received confirmation that we were supposed to be together.

Then one day we were talking on the phone after her mom was coming up and her ex-husband was afraid for her life and her soul and was afraid for her daughter’s safety because she was around a mad man. The image built up was amazing. We’re talking on the phone and she said, “Maybe we should just lie low for awhile until things calm down then we can continue the relationship.” I knew at that point that if I let the point of tension go I would lose her and I knew I had to do something. She didn’t think I would lose her but something within me told me that I would. There was this army gathering around to pull her away from what she had received within herself.

As we were talking on the phone she said, “It’s just too much to handle. I think I’ll lay low.” There was a moment of silence where I felt the spirit and I knew she was feeling it during the time of silence. I said, “What do you feel right this instant?” She said, “I feel peaceful. I feel good.” I asked, “Do you want to pursue this feeling or do you want to pursue the opposite of this feeling?” She said, “I want this feeling.” I said, “So, what are we going to do? Are we going to pursue this feeling or are we going to quit?” She said she wanted to pursue this feeling so I told her then we’re not going to give up. We’re going to continue this relationship no matter what happens, no matter what your mom thinks, no matter what your daughter thinks, no matter what your ex-husband thinks, no matter who comes pounding on your door demanding that you not see me. We will continue this relationship and this feeling will continue. I asked, “Is this a deal?” She said it was.

To her credit, she didn’t go back on her commitment. Most people would. I’ve seen this happen time and time again. People get close to the Presence then an army of negativity comes to take them away from that next step and they yield to that negativity. I’ve seen it happen time and time again. The negativity is so powerful. Then when you yield to it you have a false sense of peace because you don’t have the bedlam around you anymore. You seem to have a peace but it’s not the real peace. It’s not the peace that Artie felt when I asked her what she was feeling. She decided that she wanted to pursue the real peace. To her credit she withstood all the assailments she got from her mother, her daughter and everybody who came out of the woodwork. It was beyond the imagination. She withstood them all and she stood her ground and we continued the relationship and are still together.

I’m very thankful that she stood her ground that way. Not many people do because when you make a step forward, even with something simple, like say you want to quit smoking. Are there any smokers in the group? Rick is. Rick is good at quitting smoking. He’s done it about a hundred times. But when you try to quit smoking doesn’t it seem like everyone who smokes comes out of the woodwork offering you cigarettes? It seems like an army comes to you to get you to try to start up again. In any step of progression that you make you will have an army of negativity to try to pull you back to not only where you were before but lower than you were before. It’s like the scripture that reads, “When a man casts out one devil, the devil goes forth and finds seven more, more evil than himself. And they come back and they possess the man. And the last state of the man is worse than the first state.”

This is what happens. It’s dangerous to move ahead. It’s actually dangerous; dangerous to be a disciple of Christ. It’s dangerous to move ahead. It’s dangerous to progress. It’s not easy because when you do an army will surface and this army, coming out of the woodwork, will have the faces of your friends, the faces of your family, your religious leaders, your political leaders, your neighbors, and they will all try to pull you back so your final state will be worse than it was when you tried to make the step forward.

The only way through this is to take the step forward and stand on that step forward no matter what happens. When you take that stand you’ll find out that all the winds and the storms that are surrounding you are illusion. They don’t really exist. You just thought they were real. You give them power but they have no power. They have no power to pull you back. You just thought they had power. When you really take a stand and make a firm decision, you can stand. There is nothing that can pull you back. There is nothing that can stop you from your onward movement once you attain that faith in yourself and in your relationship to the spirit you can move ahead. Remember you can always move ahead. There is always a way. When you begin to make a step, the more important step it is, the more difficult it will be and the greater will be the illusion that you must take a step backward.

I think the goal of our relationship together is for us to always take a step forward into higher spiritual consciousness, higher relationship between you and your soul, between you and the spirit of God within yourself, and to take that firm step so that you will go where you have not gone before. It will be difficult. When you move forward, taking the step isn’t as hard as standing there after you have taken it. Once you take the step then attempt to stand there and prepare for the next step, you will have a hurricane of force trying to pull you back. Even though when you take the step it may not seem so hard at first, to stand there and keep that communion with the higher parts of yourself and the higher parts of your connection with the spirit of God — to be able to stand there requires the first key in the book, which is the power of decision, to decide a thing then prepare to stand.

Remember the parable in the story? There were four guys who died. There were two paths. One path led to heaven and one path led to hell. It seemed very strange to be told this by this angel. Two of them were so terrified that they did not even want to take a step. One guy made a firm decision. He didn’t know which path led to heaven and which one led to hell but he was supposed to choose one of them. He decided that no matter what happened he would make the best of it and stand on the highest that he knew. This is the way it is in our life. We don’t know for sure if the next decision that we make will led us to heaven or to hell.

Say you marry someone. Is anyone getting married in the near future? When you get married you don’t know if you’re going to heaven or to hell, do you? You don’t know that. Half the marriages lead to heaven, well SOME of them lead to heaven, and a good percentage of them lead to hell. So, you don’t know for sure, even though the person may seem like a nice person at the moment. You don’t know where it’s leading. So when you get married you’re a bit like the guy in the parable. But you have to say to yourself. “I’m going to live by the highest I know and make the most of it.” That’s about all you can do. If you do that one thing, stand by your decision to live by the highest you know and make the most of it and be true to yourself, the highest inner part of yourself, you will come out a winner in the end.

The Principle of Correction

Texas Gathering, Part Three
The Principle of Correction

So when an organization starts to go bad, does it heal? When Congress passes a bad law, does it get healed? The bad law just stays there, doesn’t it? There are still laws that say if you spit on the sidewalk you’ll go to jail. There’s a book written about bad and weird laws. If you kiss longer than thirty seconds in public you’ll be arrested and things like this. There are a lot of bad laws still remaining, laws from a hundred years ago. And there are current laws, new laws passed every day that are bad laws. There are obnoxious laws and laws that we could live without but once they’re passed they just stay there, don’t they? They just stay there and hang with no healing. When a bad law is passed it remains. When taxes are increased, do they get decreased a year down the road? Hardly ever. There is hardly any healing built into the system.

In Idaho, I remember when sales tax went up from 3 to 3.5%. They said this is temporary. As soon as we get our bills paid we’ll take it back down to 3. I never heard that statement again. I kept waiting. Of course, I didn’t really believe I’d hear it but I was watching the papers anyway. Nobody ever talked about bringing it back down. Instead, I waited awhile then they raised it up to 4. I waited a while longer and they raised it up to 4.5%. Then I waited awhile longer and they raised it to 5. It never did go back down to 3. (Note: It is 6% in 2020) Nobody even talked about it. Then they introduced the lottery and brought in more taxes. It was supposed to fix our educational system but it didn’t fix anything. I don’t know where the money went but shortly after the lottery was passed we heard about how all the schools were crumbling and all the kids needed more and weren’t getting anything and it was worse than before the lottery. Things just keep getting worse. There’s no correction built into the system.

Yet, in our system, our bodies, there is correction going on. When one of your cells dies, it’s replaced by a new cell that’s fresh and living and all ready to go. When you cut yourself, you heal. Now that’s what’s going to be different. That’s what’s different in the organizations created in the heavenly spheres. They are self-healing. The fact that it is realized that there is no such thing as perfection as we understand it here. We say that God is perfect, yet what we think is perfect with God is our distorted vision of perfection.

Let’s talk about the word “perfect”. If we were to pass around that word and have everybody in this room talk about what perfection is, everyone would give a different opinion. If God Himself were to come down here and tell us what perfection is at least half of us would disagree with Him. They say, “That’s not what I want.” It wouldn’t matter who defines what perfection is. What real perfection is, is self correction. So, as you move along, everything adapts to the new environment. That is what true perfection is. True perfection is not creating something perfect to begin with and then it just stays perfect forever. This is what everyone has tried to do when they started a religion. They tried to create that religion perfect to begin with so they can relax and have it be perfect forever from here on out. They’ve tried to do that with every religion that’s ever been started and it has never worked. The only way to make any movement, organization, or any body perfect is to put in self correction.

Artie and I drove from Boise to Texas in the past couple days. I bet I corrected my steering wheel as I was driving down the road about a million times. About 2-3 times a second, I adjusted the steering wheel as I’m driving down the road. But if I were to point this car from Boise to Wimberly, Texas and say, “okay car, I made a perfect steering, a perfect plan so I want you to drive all by yourself because I started you off perfect.” How far would I get? I wouldn’t even get a half a block, would I? The car would drive off the road. That car of ours had to be corrected thousands of times I would guess. So you need correction in order to attain the perfection of going from point A to point B.

We say that God is perfect, yet look at this world. God was supposed to have created this world yet this world has all kinds of flaws in it. There isn’t even a perfect rock to be found anywhere in this world. There isn’t a perfect diamond. The most perfect diamond you can find has been chiseled by a jeweler somewhere until it looks fairly perfect. But, if you look close enough under the microscope, you’d even find some flaws in the most perfect diamond. The perfection is to be able to go from point A to point B and to get to point B flawlessly. But to get from point A to point B there has to be a built in corrective mechanism.

This world that God has created is far from perfect from the way we think of perfection yet it’s perfect in God’s eyes because it’s going towards perfection. There are all kinds of corrections being made as the world is going from a rough draft to a celestial sphere. When it goes from point A to point B it will travel a perfect journey because we’ll have millions of corrections going on through the power of God which will eventually bring this planet we have, to its destination. When this destination is reached, perfection will be achieved. Perfection is achieved by correction. It’s never achieved by starting perfect. None of us start perfect. That’s why we see flaws all about us. There are all kinds of flaws in everything that God has created because that’s the way it’s supposed to be. Perfection is a journey rather than a final adjustment.

When a great piece of art is created, it’s created by a master who makes many mistakes. When he paints the face of the Mona Lisa or whatever; he may not like what he has done so far and changes the mouth a little bit. He keeps changing and changing it until he says, “Ah, there it is. That’s what I’m looking for.” To achieve that perfection took many, many mistakes. So perfection isn’t achieved just overnight. It’s a process. This is a perfection that we have to look at.

The perfection of the invocation is what we’re seeking right now. So what we want to do is make another turn of the rubber band, so to speak, so the propeller of the airplane will be winding up and reach a point of tension. What is one more turn that we need to make?

Audience: Well, we have desire and persistence but that still might not get us anywhere until we have an all-consuming desire. Even when winding the rubber band we think it’s getting kind of tight and maybe I should let it go but there’s probably a good ten or more wraps we could go and we’re risking more and more getting too much tension. You need to have the willingness to go the extra mile.

JJ: Okay the persistence gets you to the point where you finally—you keep persisting until you feel the tension building up. You think something is starting to happen. Then, when something starts to happen, like he says, you have a desire and things start to move for you. You have a desire to move ahead.

Response: You have to have action also or are you including that in the airplane?

JJ: Action is important. So many people in this world want to do things by not acting. A lot of New Age people do this as well as Christians. I’d say about half the people here are New Age consciousness and about half are Christian consciousness. That’s an interesting blend we have. In most audiences it’s usually one or the other but we’ve got a really interesting combination of people here and that’s the way it’s supposed to be because we’re a synthesis of people here. A lot of people want to get rich by just meditating and visualizing a million dollars coming in and a lump of money will show up on the doorstep. How many people have you met that have an idea like this? They don’t want to do the nuts and bolts necessary. I’ve met a lot of people like this. Not only in the spiritual movement but Artie and I meet a lot of people in the business world everyday. We do a lot of services for them. Many people don’t want to do the nuts and bolts. They don’t want to cross the T’s and dot the I’s. They want somebody else to do all the busy work and all the hard work then they’ll take all the glory. They’ll do all the visualization and somebody else will put the stamps on and fold the flyers and whatever miscellaneous work.

A lot of people just want to run away from that miscellaneous hard work. Those are the people who don’t make it. The people that make it are the people who are willing to do what is necessary. That’s one thing I like about Mindy over here. She’s willing to do lots of nuts and bolts type work. I send her an audio to type up and she just types it up the next day. She just gets right on it and does the nuts and bolts work. A lot of you in the group are like that. I’m just singling out Mindy because she’s done a lot of work lately and I appreciate it. But nuts and bolts type workers are hard to find. People want to do glorious work. They say, “I want to prepare the way for Christ to come. I want to do something or say some OMs and make Christ show up in the clouds or something like that. I want to do something really good. Or I want to create a molecule tomorrow. Or twelve apostles or something like this tomorrow.”

Here’s what we need to do. We need to do some real nuts and bolts things. We need to create a web site or we need to do this or do some typing or lick stamps. Those type of people who are willing to do the average run of the mill work, they’re the rarities in this world but they are also the ones who will end up succeeding. You need to tighten the nuts and the screws and get everything in order before the whole package can hold together. I’ve met so many people again and again who are unwilling to do the busy work; the work that isn’t particularly fun to do. These are the people who usually do not succeed in whatever their endeavors are. So whether it be a spiritual work or a business or whatever type of work you’re in, the nuts and bolt work is one of the things that will turn the tension one more turn.

Question from audience on initiating

JJ: Yes, initiation is a great power and this is one of the things that will attract the attention of the Masters toward you. The Masters are very busy on their own plane. They’re busy doing a lot of work besides what we might visualize them doing. They have a lot on the plate. Our association with the Masters corresponds to an animal’s association with us. We’re in different kingdoms. The kingdom of God is a kingdom higher than man like humanity is higher than the animals.

Now, suppose you have a dog at home. The dog waits all day for you to come home. His whole desire is to see you walk through that door. Maybe you’ve been at work all day along. He’s just sitting around all day waiting for you. For one thing, you’re going to feed him but he probably thinks you’ve been thinking about him all day too. He probably thinks he’s been on your mind continuously. But he hasn’t been on your mind at all. You’ve been with your boss to lunch, had all sorts of problems at work and you haven’t even thought of your dog all day long. You come home and through the door and the dog just jumps on you because he’s so happy to see you. And you’re thinking, “Oh, I almost forgot about this stupid dog. I hope I left him enough water. He’s probably dying of thirst.” But your poor little dog thinks you’ve been missing him as much as he’s been missing you.

This is the way we think about God and Christ and the Masters and the higher lives. We think they just sit around the table saying, “Joe Schmoe, let’s keep an eye on him today. We don’t have anything better to do.” No, they have their own work in their higher spheres and we’re like the little puppy dogs asking for a bit of attention. They might think, “Oh man, I forgot all about Joe Schmoe over there. I hope I left enough spiritual drink to tide him by. Maybe it’s time to pay some attention to the poor guy.” He thinks he’s really got something going when little does he know it’s a little pathetic effort he’s making over there. And maybe they sit around and joke about how silly we are. “Boy, those humans. They think they’re really accomplishing something. If they could just become more useful to us it would be something. If they could just tighten one bolt right it would be really nice. They’re expecting a big revelation but they aren’t ready for diddly squat.

Robin says we need to develop an attitude of gratitude. That’s good. We need to be more like the puppy dog we’re talking about. One of the things that endear us to our dog is that we open that door and the dog is just so happy to see us. He’s thrilled! Then you give him a bone or something and he’s thrilled again. He’s as happy as can be and the most grateful animal you’ve ever seen in your life. You think, “Oh I love that dog.” Why do you love him? Because he’s so grateful. The dog is just so grateful for the little things you give him. He’s as grateful as can be and it endears you to him.

If we can be as grateful as a little puppy dog maybe we’d get a little bit more attention from the Hierarchy. But how many of us maybe aren’t grateful? Remember the story where Christ cured ten different lepers? They each went their own way but one stopped and came back and told Jesus thank you. Remember what Jesus said to him? He said, “Where are the other nine?” Then He said, “You are healed but the for other nine the disease will come back.” So in other words, this one who came and gave his gratefulness to the Christ was healed. This is an important point. We should be grateful for what we have, grateful for those who help us, grateful for those who serve us and grateful to those who help us along our way in any way. This is an important point.

Question/comment from audience: we should desire the will of the masters

JJ: Yes, the will of the masters. Hold that thought while we take a break and continue to think on additional turns on how that point of tension can be reached.

Creating a Point of Tension

The Texas Gathering, Part Two
Creating a Point of Tension

This meeting is kind of an invocation. We’re invoking a higher presence in our lives. The first indication of that invocation is desire. We need to desire it. Nothing is going to happen until we desire it whether it be physical or spiritual. If you don’t want a million dollars you’re never going to get it. If you don’t want a higher presence in your life you’re not going to get it. You have to want it. Is that enough? Or is that just the first step? That’s just the first wind of the rubber band on the kid’s airplane. We’ve just got a little twist now on the rubber band . Somebody looking on, say the person that owns the airplane, can say this person must want this airplane to go somewhere because he started to wind it up. It’s not prepared to go anywhere yet but at least it looks like he wants it to go somewhere. What’s the second wind?

Response: Willingness

JJ: Willingness to do what?

Response: To have experience, to have higher energies present

JJ: Okay, could we say willingness to receive? Does that sound like a good one? Willingness to receive. That’s another wind. What’s the third wind?

Response: Heartfelt intent? Your intent has to be genuine.

JJ: Okay. Do you remember the words of Tennyson? I really like them a lot. “My strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure.” I always felt that was an inspired statement. If your heart is pure your strength is as the strength of ten. It’s very powerful to have a pure heart. What could you be doing to have an impure heart?

Response: Thinking only of yourself

JJ: Right. I want God to come down here and help me to hustle all the women on the block here. I want to be more attractive so everyone thinks I’m really a hotshot. Would that be impure intent?

Response: I think impure intent could include any teacher who tries to teach with an egotistical point of view. You can kind of tell if someone treats you with ego and not the right way.

JJ: Okay. So, whether he be a teacher or student or whatever, if he wants to use his power for his own personal glory it’s impure. Right. So this includes anybody who thinks, “I’m a really great guy because I have this supernatural power, I can read peoples’ minds.”

There are a number of things we can do to have impure intent. It’s very difficult to have pure intent. Matter of fact to have pure intent you have to examine yourself every day and look at all the motives that we’ve done during the day. Look at what you did when you woke up in the morning, what you did at noon, what you did in the evening, what you did with your closest relationships. How was your intent carried out? Was your intent pure? Was there any reason behind it for selfishness, for ego or for some other purpose for self-gratification? Or were you going through your entire day with pure intent? For service, for helpfulness, for harmlessness and just do your best to live your life to the highest of your ability. Were we doing that? Pure intent is an important turn of the propeller.

What’s another one?

Response: Meditation

JJ: Okay. How can you apply meditation to bring forth one more turn and bring more tension? What does that do? Meditation is really focusing your attention, isn’t it? So, by focusing your attention, if you’re going to wind up the propeller, if you aren’t paying attention that propeller may go off and hurt your finger. Did you ever do that when you were a kid? Wind it up and not pay any attention and all of a sudden it starts going and cuts your finger? You need to pay attention as you’re winding it up so you keep winding it up properly or else it’s going to go off and you’re going to lose all your tension. If the propeller goes off prematurely you lose all the tension you created and you’ve got to start all over again. It’s frustrating for a kid to have that happen. It happened to me a number of times. So we have to focus attention through focusing our mind and thoughts on that which we want to accomplish, whether it be spiritual or physical. One more turn then is to pay attention, meditate, in one form or another.

What produces another wind?

Response: Perseverance

JJ: Yes. Maybe you put a couple of winds on it and it feels like it hasn’t done anything yet. If the rubber band is lose, you can wind and wind and wind and nothing seems to happen and you wonder if the rubber band is broken. But you keep on winding and pretty soon you feel the tension begin to develop. Something is happening. But for the first few winds it feels like nothing is happening. Maybe if you haven’t done it before you wonder if anything is going on. If you’re putting salt in a glass of water and put a few pinches in and nothing seems to happen. Put another few pinches in and it just disappears. Nothing appears to happen but then you put a few more in and something begins to happen. This is what frustrates many people when they’re seeking one thing or another. When they begin their work and they work for a period of time, nothing seems to happen. We could say that about the Keys. Rick and I and a number of others have worked on it since 1998 and it’s been sort of a slow process building the group. Sometimes it seems that we’re plugging away and not a lot is happening. Really, things are happening. We’re preparing a group of people that will eventually change a lot of things on this planet. Many things will change over the next 150 years. But in order to create that change a handful of people have to have the vision to create the change.

The work of Jesus is an interesting example. Does anyone remember the number of followers He had after His crucifixion? It was 120. Look at all He had going for Him. He even raised people from the dead for everybody to see. He walked on water, did great miracles, healed a man blind from birth, and did many fantastic things and impressed the dickens out of the people. Yet He only had a 120 gathered together after His resurrection. The book of Acts, chapter one (verse 15) told us that. 120 people was all that they could gather together. That’s not very many for such a fantastic life’s work.

He had quite a few people around him at different times like the time He fed the 5000 with the loaves and fishes. Then He was looking over this group of people who He had fed. They were thinking, “Boy, this guy can feed us. This is really great. We might hang around a little bit.” So He thought He’d put them to the test. Then He says, “Except a man eat my flesh and drink my blood, he has no part with me.” That was too much for them and they all dispersed, all 5000 of them. How many were left after He made this statement? Right, the 12. Only 12 people were left. Five thousand people and they were all scared off when said that to them. And He said to Peter, “Will you also leave me?”

Do you remember what Peter said? He said, “Lord, we have nowhere to go. You have the words of eternal life.” Can you imagine how He felt at that time? At least a handful of people were willing to listen to him and what he had to say instead of what he could give them to eat. In other words he said I have more to give to you than just fish and bread and if you want more than your physical needs, you will stay. Just the 12 stayed. Only the 12 apostles. Why did they stay? He said a pretty outrageous thing, ‘except a man eat my flesh and drink my blood’, sounds a little strange. If somebody said something like that to an auditorium today that would freak a lot of people out. Why did the apostles not run away?

Response: They felt confirmation

JJ: Right. They were selected because they had an inner confirmation. They had a knowledge that there was something there. They knew this man had something beyond what everybody was seeing. They had felt something. The other guys had seen things but they hadn’t felt them internally. They had seen Him perform miracles but they didn’t feel Him perform them. To see the miracle and to feel the miracle are two different things.

It reminds me of a story. I was giving a seminar one time about miracles and afterwards this lady from class came up to me. I was giving weekly classes at that time. It was way back in the 80s, a long time ago. I said does anyone here have anything wrong with them? We’ll do an experiment here and see if we can accomplish anything.” This lady rises up and says “I seem to have lost my hearing. I can barely hear and I don’t know what’s going on.” I felt inspired at the moment and put my fingers in her ears and I commanded her hearing to be restored and she went “Whoa, I can hear! This is really great!” She was so thrilled. I thought next week everybody would come back and we’d have a ton of people show up. She looked like she was going to go tell everybody. But the next week nobody came back. I thought that was strange. The lady who got her hearing back didn’t come back and I never saw her again for a long time. It was quite discouraging and I only gave teachings for a short time at that time because I couldn’t stir any interest.

It convinced me and illustrated to me the difference between seeing a miracle and feeling a miracle. When people feel something internally it is something so much more powerful than actually seeing it. Especially in this day and age when we watch magicians like David Blayne and David Copperfield and we see so many things happening that a lot of people assume its trickery anyway. This guy is just performing these magician- type tricks. In this day and age with so much trickery about, seeing is not believing. Because if a magician can make the Statue of Liberty disappear in this age by trickery, if Jesus Himself was to return and perform a lot of miracles do you think it would convince anyone?

He performed miracles in the Piscean Age because it was important to establish His teachings of that time. But miracles are not performed by teachers in every age. Another great teacher was the Buddha. Interestingly He did not allow any of His disciples to perform miracles. A lot of them wanted to but He told them not to because it sends the wrong message. People then look for the outer, he said, instead of what’s happening inside. He said the true miracle is that which takes place inside. He called this the attainment of Nirvana.

A lot of people make fun of the Buddhist’s belief in Nirvana but it’s actually the same thing the Christ talked about when He talked about attaining the Baptism of Fire and some of these other experiences. Many of the things in the Christian religion are the same things that are talked about in the East but the vocabulary is different.

God actually has worked through all the religions of the world. Every major religion of the world was started by inspiration of some type. Then after they get started they often become corrupt within a generation or so. Almost every one of the major religions has lost the purity of the teachings of their founders. Even those religions that are highly criticized such as the Jehovah Witnesses, perhaps the most obnoxious Christian religion out there, started with a really good idea. They started with a group of people getting together, breaking off the major religions. They got together in homes and studied the Bible from scratch just to see what it said with no preconceived notions. Then what happened? After a period of time they began to tabulate what the Bible says and this is what it really means and they began to create doctrines. Then pretty soon people were coming to their Watchtower study class and were told this is what the Bible really means when it says this. So that starting from scratch and thinking as a little child, so to speak, and learning with no preconceived notions was tossed out the window. Now it’s turned into a kind of obnoxious group who thinks they have all the answers when they come to your door. If you have a different answer, they think you’re wrong. There is no considering at all of your answer if it is different from theirs. Of course, every other religious group tends to be the same way. All of them, even the obnoxious ones, started out with a good idea that influenced people for good in the beginning. Then after a period of time they go into a period of corruption where things change for the worse.

This is what’s going to be different in the coming age. The organizations that are created in the coming age are going to be living organizations. What happens when you cut your finger? After a period of time it begins to heal. What do you do to make it heal? Do you do anything? You might put a bandage on it but unless the cut is really severe it will heal whether you do anything to it or not. What makes it heal? Have you ever heard that your body is completely replaced every 14 years? Every cell in your body is gone every 14 years and replaced by new ones. But you are still here. What causes that replacement? When you get sick or cut yourself or scratch yourself what causes you to heal? The healing is built into your system.

Invocation and Evocation

Invocation and Evocation
(Transcribed from audio of the Texas Gathering)

I think this must be an important gathering. For one thing, I picked up a nice energy from this group. I pick up a believing energy, a positive energy, a receiving energy, like everybody here is open to learning something; to experiencing something. Does anyone here not feel open? Raise your hand right now. It appears that everyone is open. I picked up that energy from the group this time so I have high expectations for the experiences we’re going to have here. I think we’re going to have a good time. We’ll have communion with some good energy. I’m looking forward to it.

As you know, we chose this date around the World Invocation Day which is Sunday. World Invocation Day is a day to invoke the higher energies of the Christ and the Hierarchy. As many of you know and believe Christ does not operate alone. When He left, or seemed to have left, He actually said He wasn’t leaving. He said, “I am with you until the end of the age.” Most Bibles translate that as ‘world’ but that’s a mistranslation. It comes from the Greek AION which means ‘age’ and age of course has a beginning and an end.

So He said, “I will be with you until the end of the age.” If He’s with us, where is He? According to the Bible, He was resurrected and he has a resurrected body, a resurrected physical body. Being a person who has power over life and death, He has power to manifest in the physical whenever He wants. So he’s actually been upon the Earth ever since the time of His resurrection. He has been with us, just as He promised but very few mortals know where He is or would recognize Him if they were to meet Him. He is with us until the end of the age and He’s able to be with us in a number of different ways. He could be here with us physically, if we were prepared to meet Him. He is also able to project His consciousness into people and into groups who are ready to receive Him.

Matter of fact, He did this during WWII. There was a much greater battle during WWII than that of which most people are aware. That battle was on many different fronts. It was really the Armageddon of our time in the fact that it was the great battle between good and evil; between the forces of light and the forces of darkness. Hitler was overshadowed by the dark brothers. Churchill and FDR and others working for the forces of light were worked with by the Christ Himself. When Churchill got up, at the time it looked like England was doomed, when Hitler had overtaken Poland and France, the Royal Air force had only a handful of planes to defend all of England from Hitler’s armies. Churchill got up and gave his great speech. He said, “We will never surrender.” Many of you have heard that speech before. He talked about not surrendering, about how they would fight until the very end and when they reached the end they would continue to fight and eventually they would triumph. In that speech he roused the nation to believe in itself, so, they were able to rise up and defeat Hitler.

During the Battle of Britain, I’ve heard said, that when Hitler retreated, England had only two planes in the air. I don’t know that that’s true but I do know it was just a very small handful. If Hitler would’ve continued just a few more hours he would’ve defeated them but he thought that they had more to fight with than they did. So he retreated in that great battle, which was perhaps the greatest battle of this century and perhaps of the millennium. In a way, that great battle turned the tide. Churchill aroused his people from defeat to believing that they could turn back the forces of evil. And they did that. The Battle of Britain was the beginning of that.

The Christ created a point of tension in working with Churchill and overshadowing him to defeat the forces of evil. So He’s done a lot of things behind the scenes that the world hasn’t been aware of. He’s doing things behind the scenes now that the world is not aware of. Right now we’re having another gathering of the forces of light and dark because whenever the forces of darkness are defeated, they gather again. And of course, 9-11 was an attack on freedom by the forces that want to take away our freedoms. They will continue until they’re completely defeated and the door to evil is sealed as it’s written in the Great Invocation. This is what we look forward to.

As I said, we’re approaching World Invocation Day. There are two great principles that we’re going to talk about briefly. These are the principles of invocation and of evocation. Is there anyone here who can tell us what these two words mean and the difference between them? What does it mean to invoke? What does it mean to evoke? These are two great principles used by the higher lives and the Masters.

Response: to invoke is to create or cause something

JJ responds: Kind of. Matter of fact we had an invocation tonight. Who gave that? What was it called? A prayer. Have you ever noticed that when someone says a prayer they say “the invocation will be given by…” Why is a prayer called an invocation?

Audience: It is a request.

JJ answers: request from where? From who? Good. An invocation is a petition to bring a higher power down to us.

Okay, what’s an evocation? Any other thoughts?

Responses inaudible

JJ: Would you say I’m doing an evocation with now? I’m evoking you and we are invoking Christ and His associates, right? We invoke when we petition to the higher to come down lower and we evoke when we are the higher ones bringing someone or something up to us. For instance, a magician would be someone who evokes the powers that be or whatever. A person who is praying is invoking something higher to come down lower. A speaker, such as myself, is evoking, trying to bring forth response from the group. So I’m evoking you. All of us together will be invoking God, the Holy Spirit, and Christ.

So who do we want to invoke? Who is there to invoke? Does Christ have anyone with Him? Is He working all alone? Do you think He and The Father are sitting on thrones throwing bolts of lightening down here every now and then? That guy needs punished, we’ll give him a bunch of warts. This guy over here is a good guy so we’ll make him win the lottery. Do you think that’s what they do? Sit around and play with us all day? Sometimes we think that, right?

What do they do? Who is Christ with? What’s He doing? How do you think He spends His time? Any idea?

Response inaudible.

JJ: That’s right. He has a number of groups that He works with. How do you think He spends His day?

It is said that the first thing He does when He gets up is to face the sunrise and say the Great Invocation, with which many of you are familiar. But, how do you suppose He spends His day? Rob, if you were Christ, let’s suppose you are Him. We’re supposed to be one with Him, right? Now, if we’re supposed to be one with Him what does that mean? It means we should be able to figure out what He’s thinking. How would you spend your day? You’ve got lots of supernatural powers the regular guy doesn’t have and you can tune into people’s consciousness. How would you spend your day?

Response unheard…

JJ: Would you have a group of associates around you?

Response: I would guess I would need associates to do whatever it is I do. As far as what I would do if I could see into somebody else’s thoughts, I would….(unheard)

JJ: Do you think He’s aware of different disciples doing different work around the earth?

Response: I don’t see why not

JJ: This is the interesting part. When you think about God and Christ in heaven up there, you just think of them being on some throne and doing who knows what. But if you put it in context of what you would be doing if you were there, it turns out a little bit differently, doesn’t it? Maybe He has to plan His day. Maybe He has a certain number of disciples He’s working with, that He tunes into to. Maybe He looks through their eyes and sees what’s going on in their world and what He can do to assist them.

Audience: I would say that He’s in the project mode. His purpose is to have Earth like it is in heaven. So, being in the project mode, He has a group that works with Him and His disciples and humanity. He puts attention where He needs to put it for each particular day and time. So, as He puts His attention on certain tasks and the problems are solved He will reach the end goal of bringing humanity to heaven, so to speak.

JJ: That’s as good of guess as any. Anyone else have any comments?

Response: I think He works in the world and in us also.

JJ: What type of people do you think He picks to work with? What if the average person doesn’t want to be worked with? Do you think He works with Him anyway?

Response: Only people that want to

JJ: Indirectly perhaps, through you and me, right? But there is one thing that all the forces of light work with and that is free will. They cannot come and work with anyone until they are invited. Remember what it says in Revelations chapter 3. “He that overcometh, to him will I come and sup with him and he with me.” So if we can overcome all things and raise ourselves to His plane of consciousness we can invite Him to come into us and He will sup with us and we will sup with Him. In other words, we will have a communion with Him, directly, which is unlike anything we’ve ever experienced with mortal people.

What kind of a communion or steps of communion is there with Christ, do you think? Everything seems to come in three’s, don’t they? What are three steps to a full communion? What it describes in Revelations is the full communion with the Christ, like a Vulcan mind-meld, so to speak, that we would have with Him. Remember on Star Trek, the Vulcan grabs the guy’s temples and they merge their minds together and they understand each other completely? That’s like the final communion with Christ but where do we start to have a communion with the Masters with the higher powers?

Response: I’ll say one thing. It’s just an acknowledgment. We can’t do it by ourselves. We need to ask for His help in order to accomplish anything.

JJ: We have to start out first of all by searching, by wanting something higher. There are a number of illusions to overcome before we can attain even our first step in communion. The first initiation that is taught by the ancient wisdom is the birth of the Christ in the heart. This comes after a period of aspiration where we are aspiring to be Disciples of Christ. We aspire and we attempt over a period of time until finally we have an experience which is called the birth of the Christ in the heart. This birth of the Christ in the heart comes after a long search where we have kind of a visitation and it will seem at the time that you’ve experienced the ultimate, but it’s really the beginning. Every spiritual experience that most people have, lead them to think it is the end but it’s not the end. It’s the beginning of something. The born again Christian has this experience, forgiveness of their sins and they feel really great, a spiritual experience and they think it’s the end. It’s really the beginning; their beginning step. Little do they realize that there’s much more beyond that. Really, there is no end to the feelings of intensity and growth of experiences that we will have in this universe. It will go on forever. When we experience one thing we’ll go on to a new experience. We will become that which we decide to become. And eventually no matter whatever we become, we will make another decision somewhere down the way.

Many think, “I want to go to some end product.” It’s not only the Christian religion, and Islam and all the standard religions that believe this but also many of the new age people believe this same thing. When I reach ABC that will be it and I will have the fullness of joy, the end of my lifetimes, I will be in some heavenly sphere, and it’s going to be this way for all eternity and I’m never going to have to do anything again. It’s really going to be great. But how long do you think a person would have to go he would get bored and want to do something else? How long would you sing with the angels on your harp before you get tired of playing the harp? Or how long could you sit next to some Master or the Christ Himself or the highest God you can imagine, sitting before His throne singing praises, before you think, “I’m ready to go do something new.”

It’s like the prodigal son. Matter of fact, we are the prodigal sons as is taught in the ancient wisdom. We came from the presence of our Father. We had everything our Father would have to give but we got bored and decided we wanted to come wallow with the hogs awhile and live a more unpleasant life. It seemed exciting to us. So we came down here and after a period of time we decide we want to go back to our Father’s house. We hope that maybe He’ll take us back again. I don’t want to be a son; I just want to be a servant, that would be good enough. When we rise and we go back we find that our Father says, “You are my son and all that my son has you are entitled to.”

One of the meanings of the prodigal son is that humanity itself is the prodigal son that returns to the Father. We return to the Father how? By raising ourselves up in consciousness until we’re one with the Holy Spirit within ourselves. When this time comes we begin our journey back home. When we begin our journey back home, we take with us all the experiences that we’ve accumulated. We’re much wiser than we were before. When the prodigal son returns he has much wisdom that he wouldn’t have had if he’d just stayed home cared for the animals all day long and did the same thing over and over. He did something different and experimented. It was costly to him but, on the other hand, he gained a lot by his journey. We came down here to this world of lowest vibration and it’s a strange journey but now is the time for us to rise up and go home.

One of the things that we need to do is to master the art and the principle of invocation. This is a seed thought I want to plant in everybody’s mind tonight. Sunday is World Invocation Day. We’re going to meet here at seven AM and say the Great Invocation. At this particular hour we’re going to seek to commune with the Christ and His Hierarchy and to draw down their presence to us and see what impressions come to us. So, I want to put this thought in everyone’s mind. The invocation begins now and will consummate Sunday morning at 7 o’clock. So how do you begin an invocation and why do we need to invoke the higher lives? Why do we need to invoke them? Aren’t they aware of us all the time anyway? Do we even need to call on them? Or do they need invoked?

Response: because of free will, they will not come into our lives unless we ask them to

JJ: There is one more point that is overlooked by many. This is the fact that they are very busy. The Christ has a lot of things to do besides His attendance to humanity as we understand it. He has many things to occupy His attention. By invoking Him, when He feels the invocation, when it becomes strong enough, He will respond to it. He will send His presence to where He is invoked. When is it determined to be strong enough? It is strong enough when the point of tension is reached. Can anyone tell me what a point of tension is? We talked about it on the Keys at one time. Rick, you’ve been there since the beginning, let’s see how good your memory is. What’s the point of tension?

Rick: When you build up enough strength of desire to find an answer or to solve something.

JJ: Right. To turn the tide and make something work. If you put salt in a glass of water, it disappears completely. You keep putting it in and it keeps disappearing until all the space between the molecules is filled up. When it’s filled up, the point of tension is reached then the salt begins to crystallize. When you wind up an airplane, propelled by a rubber band, you wind it until the point of tension is reached. You can feel the tension and you know that if you were to take it any farther it would break but you’re just to the right point to where you know enough energy is in there to make the plane fly. You release the airplane propelled by the energy in the rubber band and let it go and that point of tension causes the airplane to fly.

What do you suppose the point of tension is when you’re invoking a higher life? What’s the point of tension there?

Rick: That you’re asking hard enough and that you’re willing to listen

JJ: Okay. Have most people in here prayed at one time or another in their lives? How many times have you prayed, Dino, and never gotten an answer? But I bet you prayed sometimes and have gotten answers, right? Those times where you really got an answer, was it a casual prayer or was it prayer with strong intensity? The times you really get an answer are the times you really create a point of tension. If you don’t create a point of tension in your invocation, very little will happen. This is why many people pray and pray and pray and nothing happens. They do not create the point of tension. Without a point of tension being created a prayer is just the spoken word dissipated and nobody pays much attention to it, not even the higher lives.

The Holy Spirit within us is aware of everything that goes on but even the Holy Spirit and Christ are subject to the laws of the universe. One of the laws of the universe and the laws behind prayer is governed by the point of tension. You have to create it to produce a response to an invocation. You’re not really invoking without a true point of tension.

Think of something that you accomplished that was real important to you. Maybe it was studying for a test you had to pass, in college to get an A or whatever. So you studied and studied until finally you reached that point of tension where you know you’re going to get the A. You know you’re going to pass. You know you’re going to get whatever it is you’re searching for. But, if you just read a couple of the pages and made a casual study of the notes, you’re not going to invoke an A, are you?

Now, if you’re petitioning to get a response from Christ and His associates and you just make a casual amount of effort, or maybe just a C’s worth of effort little will happen. You have to make an A or B’s worth of effort; you need to create a point of tension. A point of tension must also be created around an evocation and without that point of tension our words are no different than the words we speak to friends at work. There won’t be much more power than normal speaking without it.

Here’s something to take into consideration. With spiritual matters, people seem to have the idea that sometimes spiritual principles work and sometimes they don’t. You just don’t know what’s going to make it work. Sometimes you get an answer and sometimes you don’t. Sometimes people get healed by faith and sometimes nothing seems to happen. So, are there any laws that govern this or is it just by happenstance? Maybe God is up there on a throne saying this person is going to get healed and this one won’t. Is that what’s happening? Or is there a principle which, if understood would create certain results?

It’s like science. They say something is scientific when you can put together the formula and give it to another scientist and he can repeat the formula and get the exact same results. Remember the cold fusion they came up with a few years ago? Other scientists took the formula and they couldn’t duplicate it so they assumed something must’ve been wrong. So, really there was some problem in the original formula because it could not be duplicated. Yet, Edison, when he invented the light bulb, gave the formula to somebody else and they could duplicate it exactly and we’ve been duplicating it ever since. Every time we make a light bulb and plug it in it works. This is because the principle is followed. Every time the principle is followed, you screw in the light bulb and it works. But maybe when Edison was first putting together his first handful of light bulbs maybe some of them didn’t work because they didn’t have the process down completely.

It’s interesting that when they first started building railroad bridges a lot of them collapsed. Many people thought they would never be able to construct a railroad system in the United States because so many bridges collapsed killing so many people that it would never be feasible. But, eventually they made the bridges better and better and now you never hear of a bridge falling down unless it’s from an earthquake or something. But when they first began building the bridges they fell down regularly so a lot of people though we’d never have a railroad system in this country. They thought we should have abandoned the idea because we can’t make a bridge that will support it. Well, they solved these problems.

This is the same with spiritual principles. As we learn them, the principles of healing for example-sometimes healings work, sometimes they don’t-we have to apply a bit more of a scientific mind and find out what we did right when it worked and what we didn’t do right when it didn’t work. What did we do right when we felt some presence, some spiritual presence come down and assist us? And what didn’t we do right when we sought the spiritual presence and nothing happened? What was different between these two things? We study the differences. The thing to look for, if you want to have a spiritual experience, is the point of tension.

Let’s go back to the airplane powered by the rubber band. Has everyone flown one of these? We used to have them when I was a kid but I haven’t seen one for a long time. You wind up the propeller powered by the rubber band and every wind gives it more power. This is how it is if we want to invoke a higher power in our lives. We have to wind up until a point of tension is reached.

Now let’s talk about the winding here; the things we have to do to wind ourselves up until the point of tension is reached so we can have a true spiritual experience. What is the first wind?

Response: the invocation?

The Astral and Other Worlds

The Astral and Other Worlds
(Transcribed from a posted audio)

Question, “When you say the astral world is not real, are you saying it is not real in the physical sense?”

Basically, it seems very real. Even this world is not real as we understand reality. We have two physical worlds. One is called the dense physical that we see around us. Then there is the etheric which is the true physical world. It’s an exact double of the world we have here. The physical realm that we have is merely like a projection of the etheric double. DK tells us that this dense physical is not built upon a true principle as the etheric matter is. It’s because the etheric world is capable of extension and creation and regular physical matter is not. Physical matter must be governed by a higher principle in order to take any part in creation.

Now, the astral world is not real in the sense that it is a projection or an interplay between the mental world and the etheric world. It’s caused by the evolution of desire. The astral world didn’t really exist until humanity came on the scene and desire entered in. When desire and attachment to form became a human quality, then this power of desire– through the power which originates in the mind and projected down into desire– created the astral world. So the astral world was built upon a desire for form which really has its cause in illusion because form itself, gives no eternal joy. Because it gives no eternal joy it is founded on an illusory principle.

When humanity loses or lets go of his attachment to form and begins to understand the qualities of the eternal self more and what is really important in the entire scheme of things then the astral or desire world will eventually disappear and be no more because it’s illusion. That which is illusion is always temporary and it comes and goes. The astral world then is created by interplay between mind and the etheric world of form. As I said, this interplay creates the desire world. The astral world is called the desire world because on the astral realm is where all of our desires are eventually filled until we reach a point where we find that that which we thought we desired did not bring eternal satisfaction so we go to something higher.

Question, “What does it mean when you say an octave up or a world is an octave higher than another?”

You’re familiar with music and how one set of notes is an octave higher than another. By an octave higher we must remember that the mental world vibrates at a higher vibration than the astral. The astral vibrates at a higher vibration than the physical/etheric. That’s what an octave is. When you move up an octave, you merely move up to a higher but similar vibration. At the higher vibration the notes sound similar. They’re just a higher multiple. That’s how it is when we move up from the physical to the astral to the mental. In the astral world the matter is created and controlled by desire but it is a temporary matter which is a reflection of a higher matter from the mental worlds (or the celestial world as you’re used to calling it).

A higher correspondence where the true feelings are is above the mind, which in esoteric writings is called the Buddhic plane, the plane of the Buddha. In Christian literature this could be called the plane of the Christ which is a similar concept. This plane which is above the plane of the mind, is where intuition comes from. Our inspiration comes from here and our higher feelings come from here. So we have feelings that are temporary and passing and ephemeral and feelings which are true and eternal. Considering love, for instance, we have the selfish love which is the astral plane love, and we have the spiritual or divine love which is the plane of the Christ, the plane above the world of the mind. This is where the real feelings are. What each of us must do is find out where our real feelings lie to eventually replace our temporary selfish attached feelings with real feelings of the spirit. When we discover the real person within ourselves then we discover the real feelings of God. When these are discovered the temporary feelings pass away and the astral plane will pass away as far as the person is concerned. Then he moves up into the higher planes in consciousness.

A reader asks where we were before we were born. The scriptures call it our first estate. What does this mean? As I’ve said many times before, most scriptures have at least three interpretations and so it is with our pre-birth life. There are several correspondences which can fit. Before this world was created as it is now many of us upon the Earth lived upon what DK calls the moon chain. This was billions of years ago. During this time period we evolved in a significant degree. Then came a time when we had to leave and the life of the moon chain, as it was called, gave birth to the life on this planet. So, according to esoteric teachings, that which we now call the moon is a shell of what was once a living body that was deserted by all life upon it and that life came to earth. When it did the moon began to die. The life force of the moon was then transferred to the Earth.

Remember that a chain, as taught in the Ancient Wisdom is a series of globes so it is probable that life on the moon chain was not on the globe we see in the sky.

Now, even before this there was a previous solar system where the form aspect was perfected. He tells us that within this first solar system our goal was the perfection of form. In our current system, billions of years later, the goal is the perfection of consciousness. That which is evil goes back to trying to perfect the form rather than consciousness. This is why Hitler was evil. He did all his experiments trying to perfect the form to create the super race and so on. Whereas DK tells us that if we perfect consciousness, form unfolds automatically into perfection because the perfection of form occurred in the previous solar system billions of years ago. The perfection of form is built in our consciousness. As we stimulate our consciousness the form that is necessary for us to use unfolds automatically because it’s already reached its perfection. It’s like a seed. When it’s nurtured and planted grows up to perfection almost beyond what you could imagine from just a simple seed. We have all the seeds of perfected form within us as individuals and as every life form does. So, the key to current perfection is to work on consciousness.

Then in addition to these physical worlds there were spiritual, more refined ones. Each planet goes through a descent of and then an ascent. We are on the fourth and densest globe in descent. There were three earths of higher vibration before this dense physical materialized and there will be three higher on the path of ascent until the earth becomes as a “sea of glass” as predicted in the scriptures.

Question: “Is there is such a thing as an entity that only has an astral form and is totally without any mental form?”

Yes and no. All of us have mental, astral and physical ingredients within us. But, they’re not unfolded within all of us. All of us have a mental body but not all of us use or have developed the mental body. Many of us think with our feelings rather than with our minds or our true mental bodies. When the person begins to unfold or stimulate his mental body then he begins to use logic and reason and begins to reflect the Holy Spirit down to the physical level. This is what happens when the mental body is truly awakened. For at least two-thirds of humanity the mental body is pretty much asleep and the thinking is done with their physical brain and with their feelings rather than with their true mind.

The Importance of Knowledge

The Importance of Knowledge
(Transcribed from a posted audio)

Somebody was talking about reincarnation awhile back. They said something to the effect that it doesn’t really make any difference whether or not it’s true. We pretty much live our lives the same whether we believe or not. I don’t think that’s exactly true. For one thing here’s a principle. The principle is this: every piece of knowledge, every piece of truth you discover does make a difference. It adds one more puzzle piece to the whole scheme of things and makes the whole picture a little clearer. When we come to the point where we can see the whole picture, then our life will change dramatically. Whenever a significant piece of the picture is added our life undergoes a significant change. Reincarnation is a significant piece of the puzzle.

When I discovered it was true, it turned my belief system upside down and made me look at every possible belief I had previously held with an open mind, as if I were a little child again. A new truth, whether it be reincarnation or any other spiritual truth, can have a tremendous impact on us

One of the criticisms of the belief in reincarnation is that if you’re going to have another life, you can screw around in this one and make up for it in the next. As a matter of fact, some of the common people in the East do think this way to some degree. But when one matures a bit, spiritually, the truth about reincarnation is a very positive thing. For instance, when I found out about it, it didn’t make me want to take the attitude that if I get another chance in the next life I can be lazy in this one. When you think about it, it’s really silly reasoning. It’s like saying, “I’ll go rob a bank and go to jail for five years because I’ll get out in five years and have another chance.” Five years in jail is a tremendous inconvenience. If you screw up your life and have to come back and live another entire life undergoing tremendous suffering and trial and error you’re wasting an enormous amount of time. That’s time that could be well spent enjoying yourself. Once a person sees reincarnation with the true view of things, it actually makes him want to try harder; not try less.

One thing I find interesting is that many of the average religious believers have little concept of time. For example, many Christians believe if they commit certain sins they’ll go to hell and be there for all eternity and burn with fire and be with the devil and pitchforks and tremendous suffering is envisioned. Yet many times when someone with such a belief system sees a person that attracts him, he’ll sacrifice all eternity for a night of pleasure with the wrong person. Now, if this person really had a concept of what eternity was and if he really believed he was going to suffer in some fiery brimstone area for all eternity, he would never sacrifice all eternity for a day. Many people don’t have a perspective on what an eternity might be or they would re-examine the whole idea of burning in hell forever.

So when is a person ready to believe in reincarnation making it a positive thing in life? The answer is when the mind has a true perspective on what time is plus what cause and effect is. For instance, in this life a person doesn’t want to go to jail for even one year and he would probably avoid a night of pleasure to avoid a year in jail. Others who don’t have a perspective on what eternity is would yield a night of pleasure and spend an eternity in the fires of hell, so to speak. That doesn’t make any sense at all. Some people can put things into perspective and live their lives accordingly and others cannot and don’t have any idea of what burning in hell for eternity would entail. Those who are accepting an eternity in hell for a night of pleasure are probably not ready for a lot of truths including reincarnation. If a person does have a little perspective on cause and effect and what can happen to him in reality, then the belief in reincarnation or the knowledge of it is a very positive thing.

When I began to believe in reincarnation it made me adjust my life so the cause and effect in my life was projected into the future. So the things I’m doing now, in this life, are not just for the effects for a year or two down the road. I’m looking at maybe hundreds or thousands of years down the road because it makes you live your life from a much broader perspective when you know you’re going to have effects that are going to take place in the future, even future lives, that will either be to your advantage or disadvantage.

An LDS reader stated that Christ has forgiven his sins and he is at peace knowing that he has a place in the celestial worlds; What more could desire?

:

So let’s throw this out. Our friend is in a state of peace and contentment in his relationship with Christ. Why do anything else? First of all let me ask you, “Is all you want for all eternity – just peace?” I have peace and that’s not enough. I want more than peace. What more could you want besides peace? How about knowledge?

Joseph Smith said, “It is impossible to be saved in ignorance. D&C 131:6

He also said, “A man is saved no faster than he gets knowledge, for if he does not get knowledge, he will be brought into captivity by some evil power in the other world.” TOTPJS Pg 217

For those of you who don’t have a LDS background, bear with me. I’m going to try to answer his questions steering towards concepts that are interesting to everyone and cover basic metaphysical principles. The metaphysical principle here is that knowledge does indeed save us. Save us from what? For one thing, it saves us from ignorance. It saves us from being in a state where we don’t know what’s going on; of what true salvation is or what it isn’t, we don’t know what true atonement is or what it isn’t. There may be a lot of things we think we know. We may think we’re ready for the highest heaven but we may not be. Knowledge of what is and the knowledge of worlds to come and the worlds past, the principle of reincarnation, the principle of cause and effect, all these things can add to the quality of your salvation.

Joseph Smith once said that man is not saved until he overcomes all of his enemies. If a person has peace of mind but hasn’t overcome all of his enemies then he is not truly saved. He said this, “You have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you, namely by going from one small degree to another, and from a small capacity to a great one; from grace to grace, FROM EXALTATION TO EXALTATION, UNTIL YOU ATTAIN TO THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD.” DHC 6:306

Now a typical Mormon thinks regular believers attain some type of salvation here on Earth. But they see faithful LDS going to the temple and making covenants that will take them to a much higher station – called exaltation – way better than plain salvation. But in the quote Joseph says you have to go from, not one exaltation, but from exaltation to exaltation. The Mormons think that you are raised from the dead then you are exalted but here Joseph Smith says, you go “FROM EXALTATION TO EXALTATION, UNTIL YOU ATTAIN TO THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD.” So you attain the resurrection of the dead after you go through a number of exaltations according to him. An exaltation is far beyond attaining peace of mind through your relationship with the Christ.

Here is Joseph’s interesting definition of salvation. “Salvation is nothing more or less than to triumph over all our enemies and put them under our feet IN THIS WORLD, and a knowledge to triumph over all evil spirits in the world to come, THEN we are saved.” DHC 5:387

What does this mean? He’s really saying the same think DK talks about when he talks about overcoming illusion. Unless we can overcome illusion we can be tricked to believe many things that are untrue and see through a distorted vision until we attain a high degree of knowledge. When we obtain this knowledge we can triumph over all those who are masters of illusion and try to deceive us.

Another interesting scripture given though Joseph Smith is this. “The glory of God is intelligence.” It doesn’t say the glory of God is peace but the glory of God is intelligence. So if you have obtained the peace of God the next step is to obtain the intelligence of God. Remember one of the core doctrines Joseph taught was eternal progression; there is no end to our progression. So suppose we have obtained a peaceful state. Why would we want to stop and rest? The question is then, what is our next step? Is our next step to work on perfecting ourselves in the image of God, by obtaining the intelligence of God, by obtaining the glory of God, by understanding His intelligence and incorporating God within our own lives? How do we do that? We do that by obtaining the Holy Spirit. When we obtain the Holy Spirit and obtain greater and greater communion with it, then our intelligence grows and our knowledge grows and our power of discernment grows also. As Jesus said, “By your fruits you shall know them.” When you have recognized the Holy Spirit, or soul within you can recognize where the true fruit is so you can find where the true knowledge is.

Isaiah gives a good example: “Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he not open and break the clods of his ground? When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cumin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rye in their place?” Isa 28:24-25.

Isaiah tells us that Ephraim and many other religious leaders in the last days will be like the plowman. He just plows his field over and over but doesn’t plant anything. He later tells us about the person who grinds corn over and over, but makes nothing. The religious leaders in our day will be like people who just grind corn over and over and over. Isaiah asks, “Why would you want to do that?” Why would the plowman want to just plow and plow and plow and the grinder just want to grin and grind and grind? Does he not eventually plant his seeds in the fields and cover it over grow the principle fruit? Yes. And does not the person who grinds the corn eventually make something of it? Wouldn’t he make bread or cornmeal or something?

In other words, Isaiah tells us the religious people of this age will be like the plowman who just wants to plow and plow and plow, doing the same thing over but then he says precept must be added to precept. We must add precepts and thinking and intelligence within our life so that we can reflect the intelligence of God and work toward the glory of God.

Again and again in almost all the scriptures of the world, we’re promised to know the mysteries of God, we’re told to seek the mysteries of God and find them out. Study the scriptures, the scriptures tell us, in them you think you have eternal life. Jesus said, “Seek and ye shall find.” He didn’t say, “Find some inner peace then relax and cease seeking.” He said seek and you shall find. Once you find what you’re seeking– if you’re seeking peace, if you’re seeking understanding, if you’re seeking a good relationship — should we then relax? Did He say seek, find, then don’t seek? No, He didn’t say that. He said seek and you shall find. It’s a constant thing that we must do. We seek, then find, then seek another goal and when we find that then we keep on going. We do this (with cycles of rest) for all eternity. This is eternal progression; to continue to stretch ourselves and become what we’ve never been before.

Let me present a thought. All the hundreds of Christian religions have a similar philosophy on salvation and leaning on Jesus yet many of them are under tremendous error. Where does this error come from? The error comes from not understanding the principle and this is the principle taught oftentimes in the scripture. “Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm. Jer 17:5 What does this mean? It means that instead of putting ourselves, our attention, our trust in an outward authority we put it on the Spirit within. If we put it on an outward authority we are relying on the arm of flesh. The Bible says you’re cursed if you do that.

So the interesting thing I see is that many people are relying on the man, Jesus. When the person relies on the man Jesus, or the figure of Jesus they have in their mind, they are relying on the arm of flesh. Jesus Himself acknowledged when one time a man came to Him with a question. He said, “Good Master.” Jesus responded and chewed the man out, “Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God” Matt 19:17 So Jesus didn’t like the idea of this man relying on Him as a person of flesh and bone, as an individual entity above the spirit of God which you can find within yourself. As great as He was, He tried to direct this man’s attention away from Him as an individual to the universal God.

The problem with many of the Christian religions is that they want to have a personal savior. They use that word again and again and the phrase is not even found in the Bible. In having a personal savior they have a flesh and blood, individual man they can rely on rather than merely relying on the spirit of God within.

So how do we take upon ourselves the name of Christ and rely on the name of Christ as the scriptures say? Do we just say I accept the name of Christ? If I accept Baptism, will that do it? No, these are just symbolic gestures. They don’t really do anything. What really does it is when you take upon yourself the actual meaning of the name of Christ. The name of Christ, or Jesus Christ, means “anointed to save.” To take upon yourself the name of Christ you must be anointed to save.

What does it mean to be anointed to save? In the old days, in the Old Testament Bible you’d have oil poured on your head and you were anointed to be like a king or have a certain position. The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. The name Jesus means to save or to lift up or to deliver. So what the name basically tells us is that if we take upon ourselves the name of Christ we are anointed by the Holy Spirit and it will come within us to the degree that we will reach out to our brethren who need help and seek with all of our power and strength to deliver them and pull them up to where we are. For those who have not progressed to where we are, we reach out a helping hand and pull them up and help them.

Jesus once said, “Who will be found on my right hand? He who will be found on my right hand are those, who, when I was in prison, came to me. They gave me drink. They gave me food and they gave me help when I was in need. These are they who will be found on my right hand. Those who are on my left hand are those who refused to deliver such a person.” When we take upon ourselves the name of Christ, we reach out and we help those less fortunate or less advanced than ourselves and we pull them up to where we are. If we say that we have the name of Christ, that we have taken upon us the name of Christ, but then we pass by those who need help, or we do not strengthen ourselves so that we can help, then we have not really taken upon ourselves the name of Christ. Perhaps I should say Jesus Christ because the whole name implies this meaning that I’m talking about.

After the reader says he must put his whole trust in Christ he says, “That’s what I’ll do for awhile until He tells me otherwise. I will still read and keep an open mind.” Well He’s actually told you otherwise already. He once said, “What type of man should you be, even as I am.” And what kind of man was Jesus? He had a tremendous thirst for knowledge. He knew a lot more than anyone else around Him. So, if we’re supposed to be as He is, we’re should seek the glory of God which is intelligence and learn everything that we can about true principles.

As Joseph said, “We must go from one small degree to another; from a small capacity to a great one, from grace to grace, from exaltation to exaltation until you obtain the resurrection of the dead.” One small capacity to a great one – wherever we are right now it’s a small capacity compared to what we will be sometime in the future. So we need to go from where we are now to a greater capacity, to a greater knowledge, to a greater understanding of principles and not be as a plowman who just plows over and over. The scriptures given to us in the Bible, the Mormon scriptures and all the other scriptures in the world are good but if we do nothing but read them over and over and over we’re like the plowman. We must move on and not ignore what we’ve learned but to take what we’ve learned then move on to greater things. From a small capacity to a great one, from a small knowledge to a greater knowledge and this we do as long as we are in the three worlds of human endeavor.

Jesus, Himself says, “Does a man light a candle and put it under a bushel? Let your light so shine.” Light is, of course, knowledge. There are many people who put down the principle of learning more knowledge. Why do they do this? Because it takes a lot of effort to gain knowledge and understanding. You must go from a small capacity to a great one to do this. On the whole, people are kind of lazy. We want to do things the easy way. We want to do one thing and have everything taken care of so we don’t have to do anything anymore.

So the religious leaders of the world would have salvation come in just one big lump. When you’re there you don’t have to do anything anymore. You just have it made. This is the lazy man’s way to salvation. The true seeker will go from a small capacity to a great one and continues in the process of eternal progression. It’s a struggle and there is no end to it, but there are tremendous rewards. We reach our reward, we reach our goal then we can rest for a period of time and savor our victory and our strengths. Then we begin a new project with new learning.

Spiritual Energy and Planet X

Spiritual Energy and Planet X

Question: “Are there any safeguards by our souls or the Masters on what seekers may receive. I feel I have been dangerously overloaded several times.”

A question for all really which follows some of my own recent experiences. The question is are there any safeguards for the amount of information that is revealed to an initiate or during enlightenment. Personally I found that I was overloaded with not only divine knowledge but also what was almost too much sensory perception and suddenly found myself participating in not only what was perceived by me as group telepathy, but also with my surroundings and colours. I felt that I was over-exposed and the onslaught led me to be hospitalized for a couple of weeks. So my question is where or what are the safeguards to enlightenment?

Many believe that safeguards on the path of enlightenment are unnecessary as all you are supposed to have to do is think positive, love others and all will be well. It is not that simple as all disciples find out at one time or another.

When we began our progression on the physical plane as human entities the soul placed many safeguards between our consciousness and the higher energies hidden within the pedals of the various centers within our bodies.

As we listen to the voice of the soul the energy pedals slowly unfold. If they unfold too quickly then, or if our consciousness is not prepared when they do unfold, then a disturbance is created which can produce disease or weakness.

You have heard the statement: “When the student is ready the teacher will appear.”

Why does the teacher have to wait until the student is ready?

Answer: Because if he were to stimulate energy centers in the student prematurely then he would hurt more than help the seeker.

Even if we do all we can to move ahead in our progression according to the will of the Spirit we will find times when new energy centers open that are very difficult in which to adjust. However, if the student accepts and deals with the energy then the adjustment will usually come within 6 months to two years.

The real danger comes when the student seeks the higher energies before he is prepared in consciousness to deal with them. The centers can be forced open prematurely through certain types of meditation, breathing exercises and even too much prayer directed toward self.

So what do you do if you are overloaded as our friend seems to be?

(1) If you do regular meditation, clearing the mind, seeking higher consciousness, visualization etc cease doing so until you feel the energy has normalized. This may take up to two years.

(2) If you pray fervently make your prayers short and preferably limit then to once a day.

(3) The idea of mixing with positive people is good. It is preferable that these people be playful and fun loving in spirit.

(4) Make the majority of your learning through contemplation, but not negative meditation.

Staying in this group and learning here should be safe as we stress contemplation instead of empty-the-mind type of meditation.

Let us know if any problems persists.

Planet X

Question: “Talking about world, I came across this website about an unknown planet (12th planet, Nibiru) whose orbits nears Earth every 3600 years. The last time it happened was around 1600 B.C. The next time its going to happen is around May – June 2003, which is just around the corner! This rogue planet is 25X the size, and 100X the density of Earth. As Nibiru passes by Earth, the terrific gravitational pull will cause Earths poles to shift, causing tremendous earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves etc. It seems the US govt is covering up the existence of this planet to prevent widespread panic & alarm.

“The big question is…..Will all this happen in 2003?” (Written in May of 2002)

I do not even believe that Planet X exists, at least not in the physical.

It is possible for planets to swing out of their orbit and visit each other, but I do not see this happening on earth in the immediate future.

Our most pressing concern is the weapons of mass destruction and the possibility that a rogue nation may soon use them. The danger is great now between India and Pakistan. Hopefully the forces of light will prevail and we can prevent such destruction until firm international law is in place to prohibit the manufacture of weapons that can destroy life on earth as we know it.

Illusion and Self Correction

Illusion and Self Correction
(Transcribed from a posted audio)

One topic we decided is always on topic is health. This is because we want to keep everybody in the group as healthy as possible. A number of people in our group have had health problems and we would like to help them as much as possible. Along this vein, there was a recent Doctor strike in Israel. After the strike was ongoing, an interesting thing was noted. They had a 39% decrease in the death rate. So you might want to think about not going to the Doctor unless you absolutely have to, to get a bone mended or something. As I said in my book, I haven’t been to a regular medical doctor in over 20 years. I think the last time I went was when I did break a bone. Actually I tried to set it myself but I wasn’t very good at it so I was forced to go to a doctor

Years ago I read another interesting statistic somewhere. It said that they’d done some comparison between people who saw a doctor about a problem and people who didn’t. The rate of recovery was almost identical in both groups. If this statistic is right, all the money we spend on doctors isn’t doing us any good. One thing to keep in mind is the principle of the middle way and to use judgment in all things. There are times to see doctors and other times we’re better off doing some investigating on our own. Look at your diet, study herbs, look at alternative methods and so on.

Reader comment: I read Betty Eddie’s book (she died and went to heaven and saw many great things before coming back to life) and in it she says she saw in the pre-existence two men who were best friends. Man A already progressed to greatness in God’s kingdom. Man B was lagging behind A. In order to get B caught up to A, A had to come to earth as a drunk in the gutter so that B, who was a CEO in a nearby high rise, could pass by and help A out of the gutter. Years passed and B finally reached down and helped A out of the gutter. B simply couldn’t keep passing A 1000s of times passed out in the gutter. B went thru hell getting A out of the gutter.”

Now, Mrs. Eddie says some rather odd things. For instance, she tells us that many people come to Earth in a really bad situation, or even sometimes as evil, just so others can learn to deal with evil. She says this about Hitler and says he’s really in heaven now. He was a really decent guy but he just came here to play the role. So when you read something like this don’t go by the fact that the person says, “I went to heaven and this is what I saw.” First of all ask yourself this question, “Does this make sense?”

Does it make sense that Hitler would be in heaven? What would need to happen to Hitler for him to be in heaven? First of all, could he be in heaven and hate Jews who are also in heaven? Could he be in heaven and want to destroy and take away freedom and make all Jews extinct? Could he be in heaven and have these type of thoughts on his mind?

The answer is no. That means Hitler can’t be in heaven and still be Hitler. If he’s in heaven he’d have to be whitewashed in some way so he isn’t even Hitler.

It doesn’t make sense if someone says, “I’m going to come to Earth and be a drunk guy so you can learn how to help a drunk guy.” Someone commented that there are enough drunk guys already without someone needing to volunteer to do that.

In other words, Eddie’s saying that everyone who is in a bad situation is because of a plan. Think of the situations that you yourself have been in. Think of the mistakes you’ve made. Think of the times you’ve mistreated somebody. Do you really feel that you did those things because of an agreement you made? Did you plan to come here and hurt your spouse’s feelings so she could learn to deal with someone who is hurtful? Does that make sense? I remember when I was a kid I threw a rock and accidently broke this guy’s window. When I look back on that I see it was a stupid thing to do and I’m sure I didn’t do that because of a pre-agreement to throw a rock through his window just for him to know what it feels like to have a rock thrown through his window and so he could learn to have patience with a little kid. I just can’t identify with that. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

If it doesn’t make any sense that Hitler is in heaven or that people come here to be drunks or to kill other people so other people can learn a lesson why was Mrs. Eddie shown this when she had a near death experience? Speaking of that, it’s interesting that after the book came out this doctrine began to circulate a lot and Conversations with God picked up on it. But before Mrs. Eddie made these statements I’d never seen this doctrine around anywhere. People seem to have grabbed on to this idea.

Let’s look at near death experiences. The first thing to look at is that a lot of people come back with different things. Mrs. Eddie had a Mormon background so she saw the standard pre-existence of the Mormon doctrine. She saw a lot of Mormon doctrine affirmations for herself with certain little twists on them; Hitler being in heaven as an example. She wasn’t a standard Mormon but she was sort of loosely into it and had ideas of her own. The ideas that she had were included in her near death experience.

Now, she was told there was no reincarnation yet the majority of people having NDE (near death experiences) are told there is reincarnation. So why was Mrs. Eddie told there is no reincarnation when the majority of those having NDE are told otherwise? Somebody isn’t correct here. When a Buddhist has a NDE experience he doesn’t see Jesus on the other side. He’ll see Buddha. When a Christian has a NDE he’ll see Jesus. A Mormon having a NDE might see Joseph Smith. What’s going on here? Does everyone see what they want to in the next world?

This is the story of the astral world. The astral world is a world that is not real. DK tells us that the astral world is like a lower reflection of the mental world. The mental world is built upon true principles and it has a true reality. The astral world is based solely on illusion and one day we will not be affected by it at all but for now in our state of evolution, the astral world is very powerful. The astral world is governed by matter which is governed by emotional energy. The mental world is governed by matter which is governed by thought.

Another name for the astral world is the desire world. In other words, it’s a world where our desires are materialized for us. The majority of people are polarized or grounded in their astral, emotional, desire energy. Because of this, when they die, they go to the astral world. They go to this place which is conditioned by their desires, especially right after death as in a near death experience. People will often not see a true reality but see a fulfillment of their desires and see their beliefs represented by a reality that is of their own creation. This is why people having NDEs experience many different things. About 10-20% of them go to hell where there is burning fires and pitchforks which scare the daylights out of them. This was created by their emotional feelings. They evidently felt guilty and because of this guilt and religion hammered into them they feel they’re not worthy of heaven. So when they have their NDE they see hell waiting for them. It’s a big shock to people who have this experience.

One of the main teachings of Buddha is to get control over our desires so that we become their master. Thus after we die, we are not trapped in illusion but we can go to a place where there is a true reality called Nirvana. Some people in the West interpret Nirvana as a nothingness but it’s a place where there is no illusion. From some points of view this would be nothingness, if they’re trapped in a lot of illusion and don’t see much true reality in their lives. But for the true seeker, the higher worlds are merely a higher reality which is a better reality that we’re in right here as far as pure enjoyment goes.

So, is Hitler in heaven? Actually his personality is not in heaven. The souls of all of us, the higher parts of our nature are in heaven so from that point of view I guess you could say she’s right. All of us have a higher part of ourselves but we if the lower part of ourselves is not one with the higher part of ourselves then there will be discord. If we were at one with that higher part of ourselves we would be harmless. We, as personalities, where our consciousness dwells; the physical, the feeling and the mind, are capable of creating grievous errors which we have to face, not only in this world but in the world to come.

Right after we die we are in our etheric physical double for a period of time until that dissipates. Then most of us find ourselves in our astral body. If a person is fairly highly evolved, he’ll go straight to the body of his mind and merge with his Higher Self. In your astral body you will dwell in the astral world (if the person is astrally grounded) until near the time of the next birth. Then he will merge back with his soul and descend back into matter again.

So if Hitler is still in his astral body, I wouldn’t think he’d be in much of a heaven. He may still be convinced that he’s right, as far as that goes. He wouldn’t be in any more heaven there than he was here. He wasn’t in very much of a heaven here. He’d get so angry sometimes that he’d roll on the floor and chew on the carpet. That type of feeling and anger and animosity toward other people will carry over to the astral world so that another person would actually be able to see these feelings emanating from this individual in the astral world. It would be embarrassing for many of to have our feelings totally exposed for others to see.

Imagine if you were to die and go live amongst people exactly or very close to your type of thinking and feeling. Would that be heaven or hell? So if you want to know if Hitler is in heaven, just imagine Hitler living with 1000 other people that thought the same way that he did. Ask yourself, “Would this be heaven?” There you have your answer.

Another illusion in Mrs. Eddie’s NDE was that she met Jesus. It seems like every Christian meets Jesus and every Buddhist meets Buddha, Hare Krishnas meet Krishna, etc. How do these guys get around so much? Who did Mrs. Eddie meet? Christ is on the Earth right now in a physical body. He’s not up in heaven somewhere. He said, “I will be with you until the end of the age.” He is with us. He hasn’t really left the Earth so He’s really not in heaven. So who did she meet when she went there? What she saw was the reflection of her Solar Angel. The Solar Angel represents the Christ consciousness so, in a way of speaking, she saw the Christ but it was a reflection of the Christ consciousness talking to her, not Jesus the entity.

The reflected Solar Angel was what she thought was the Christ. We see the reflection of our Solar Angel before we meet the solar angel itself because the average person isn’t ready to meet his true Solar Angel. So, the Solar Angel reflects Itself down into the astral world but the reflection of the Solar Angel will often teach some things that are upside down but they’ll be things that are encouraging to the person to live a good life so they can eventually face their illusions. Mrs. Eddie, after her NDE, was motivated to be a better person so her Solar Angel, upon reflecting Itself and talking to her, actually helped her along even though there was still a lot of illusion involved.

That’s part of the great plan. Give us all the illusion that we can handle until we’re ready to come out of the illusion. The average person loves illusion. He wants to be tricked into believing what he wants to believe and not let the facts get in the way. So the reflection of the Solar Angel and the reflection of the higher energies are here to make us like actors in a play. The play isn’t really real but we play things out until we learn the lessons in the play and we finally decide we don’t want to play anymore and we’re ready to enter into the real world. Then you are nearing the time when you can face your true Solar Angel or the true divine presence.

Comment: I noticed that the sounds and letters of our language seem to have hidden meaning perhaps by design.

There is a lot of truth in that. The sounds we have in the English language and also other languages throughout the Earth, the way the words are composed did not happen by accident. A good example is the word ‘disease’. Dis-ease; when we have disease, we’re not at ease. It’s a kind of flukey arrangement but it wasn’t by accident. A reader points out that ‘evil’ is ‘live’ spelled backwards. Also the way words sound is not by accident. Here we go to a great mystery. “In the beginning was the Word” and we’re touching on one of the keys of eternal life.

I received comments on corruption, that almost all inspired organizations and institutions go through. Some great leader comes forward, creates a wonderful work, then within a generation or two, it’s corrupted so that the original creator wouldn’t even recognize the thing. So the question is, “How are we going to keep the teachings presented here from becoming corrupted?”

This is covered in the book, The Molecular Relationship. The problem that a lot of organizations have is that they try to make a perfect organization to begin with. This is impossible. Making the perfect organization to begin with is like deciding to drive a car a mile down a straight piece of road and lock the steering in place, so that you don’t have to correct the steering even once to drive the distance. Well, take aim and lock it in place as good as you can but what happens? Within a block or two the car will drive off the road. It’s impossible to begin something at such perfection that it will reach its end point without correction.

Look at the human body. The human body is the most perfect thing created in our universe, on the physical plane, yet it has self-correcting mechanisms built into it. If we get sick, there are mechanisms built in that fight the illness and correct it. If you cut your finger, you have corrective mechanisms that heal the cut, perhaps better and stronger than to begin with.

The trouble with every organization that’s ever been created on Earth is that it’s been done with the idea of making it as good as you can to start with. But the natural methods of correction have not been put into place. So every organization that has ever been created goes through a process of corruption. The Constitution of the United States, for instance, is an inspired document but now we’re reaching a point where a lot of it isn’t followed any more because people have added their own interpretation and watered it down so we have a totally different concept of what liberty is today, compared to when they had the Boston Tea Party. When they had the Boston Tea Party complaining about taxes, they were taxed much less than we are today. They were so outraged that they threw all the tea into the bay. Yet, with us, we accept that half of our money is going to taxes (on the average). So, we’re a different country today. It’s been watered down compared to the vision of the founders.

It’s the same thing with the churches. Christ, the highest of us all, established the Christian church but within a couple hundred years after He was gone a lot of things had changed. He would’ve hardly recognized it. By the time Constantine assumed strong control over the church and its doctrines, the church had changed into something not envisioned by the original apostles.

So, how do we prevent corruption from coming into an organization? This is the beauty of the Molecular Relationship. It will be self-correcting. Because, in the molecular relationship, if you do not like something your leader is doing, you can challenge him for leadership and call for a vote. You can do this without any fear of being thrown out or being ostracized or anything like this. If you can convince your group that you can be a better leader then you will switch places with the leader. He will take your place and you will take his place. You’ll have an opportunity to correct the misdirection of a faulty leader.

As it is now, in this world, if a leader in a business, for instance, gets corrupted, what do they do? I don’t know how many of you have read about the Peter Principle. It tells us that people move up in a business until they reach a position in which they are totally incompetent. Once they’ve moved into a job or position where they are incompetent then the managers usually leave them there. They don’t know what to do with them so they leave them in the job in which they are totally out of their element. For example, an engineer may be a very good engineer but then he may be made a manager and he’s a very bad manager. Instead of placing him back as an engineer where he makes less money, they don’t dare demote him so they leave him as a bad manager. So, according to the Peter Principle, in big business you move up until you reach a job where you are totally incompetent then you stay there. This is the author’s explanation for why bureaucracies are incompetent.

In the molecular relationship this won’t happen. When a person reaches a position in which he is incompetent, he can be challenged and replaced without breaking any rules or causing disdain or being looked down upon or anything like this. So this one simple process of election will build a self-correcting mechanism into the molecular organizations.

Let’s say we had an organization based on the molecular relationship with 10,000 people in it. A very talented person enters it from out of the blue. He can quickly move 4 or 5 levels up to the top man. He can move up and become the leader of the entire organization within a few short months by challenging his way up to the top. Thus fresh blood can move in and change places very quickly. It kind of fulfills the parable of Christ where He spoke of the laborers coming in at the last hour and they were given the same reward as those who had worked all through the heat of the day. This is the way the molecular relationship works. A person can come in fresh right off the street and if he has a talent, he can move up to a very high degree of leadership very quickly through the process of election, primarily convincing everyone he has the ability and that he can work for the benefit of the group more than the current establishment can.

Another important factor that will be recognized in the molecular relationship is the power of initiation. In any group or activity you will have the initiate. He’s the one who gets the ball rolling. He’s usually the one with the greatest vision of how everything fits together so it’s usually important to keep him in there unless he’s just outrageously screwing things up.

In the molecular relationship there will be many opportunities to initiate. For example, suppose you wanted to join and initiate your own molecule. So you put together a group of 24 people. This makes you the initiate of this group. The group should honor your power of initiation by keeping you there. But when you leave the group it’s totally turned over to the power of election because those who are left are not the ones who initiated it, but governors. As governors they prevent its corruption through the power of election, opening the door to new initiates.

In the United States, we don’t have any of the founding fathers walking around anymore. These initiates are long gone. Their places are taken over by people who are governing. If it is molecular, everything should be done by the power of election. We have partial power of election in this country and that’s one of the reasons for its success. There are still many leadership roles that are appointments that are not done through election. If you don’t like the President of the United States you need to wait four years to get him replaced. If you don’t like a Senator you have to wait six years.

One of my goals before I leave the scene of things here is I want to get the molecular relationship going so it is self healing. So, if it begins to veer off course, through the power of election those innovative souls can come in and change things and put it back on course. Look at the problems they’re having in the Catholic Church. All these years, with problems from child molestation over to other types of corruption, if anyone raises a red flag and wants to change things, he’s demoted somewhere; sent to be a priest in Outer Mongolia or somewhere. So, he who wants to change things and make things right in the Catholic Church or any of the other churches, is usually ostracized. This is how the molecular relationship will be different. When the innovative guy comes in wanting to change the organization, increase efficiency, and make things better, he will be able to be heard. He will be able to challenge. He will be able to be voted upon. This will cause the new organizations of light to be self correcting.

True Authority

True Authority
(Transcribed from a posted audio)

A reader wrote an interesting post the other day that I’d like to cover briefly. First of all let me read what she said. “Those of you who have browsed through AAB’s ‘Discipleship in the New Age’ books know that DK refers to those he’s training by initials. Upon further reading you’ll note that these initials correspond to the keywords DK gives each disciple to work on in order to bring him/her more in line with the soul’s plan. An example might be L.U.J. which we later find relates to the keywords of Love, Understanding and Joy. DK might describe such a disciple as being too intellectual and will oriented and needing to work on those keywords given in order to balance out the energies. He purposely provides something lacking or weak in the disciples’ make-up as their focus.”

So my initials are JJD. This means that if He were to give me some key words it would be related to these three letters. So this is an interesting thing to consider. Maybe the name you have been hasn’t been given by accident and maybe these initials that you have might be keys to keywords that might be helpful for your progression. It’s interesting to consider.

So, look at the initials of your name and contemplate what words would be good keywords on which to meditate. For instance, since my initials are JJD, I could meditate on Joy, Justice and Divine or there are probably a lot of other words. Those just came to mind. This would be a good project for us. Consider your initials and what words do you think are good for you as seed thoughts.

I was asked about my statement regarding the speed of light being constant as related to the Doppler Effect.

Let me explain. For instance, when the speed of light was first studied they tested the velocity going away from the Earth, in both directions. Now, supposing in reference to the center of the universe or whatever, we may be going half the speed of light. Logically, if that is so, it would seem like, if you shine a light in one direction and the speed of light is constant then it can’t go faster than 186,000 miles per second. It would seem like light traveling in different directions would go in different speeds relative to us but as it turns out the speed of light is always 186,000 miles per second.

Let me put this in another framework. Suppose you’re on a train and you’re going half the speed of light and according the law of the universe here, light can’t go over 186,000 miles per second. So if you’re going half the speed of light it would logically seem that if you shine the light in front of you and light traveled 186,000 mps away from you when you shine the light ahead of you, you would think that light would go away from you at one and a half times the speed of light. Or if you shine it the other direction there would be a gap. But experiments show that isn’t the case.

If you’re going on a train half the speed of light and shine a light away from you, it still, relative to you, will go 186,000 mps away from you. And if you shine back the other direction it still goes 186,000 mps.

The scientists thought that was quite curious and it was finally explained by Einstein’s theory of relativity. According to Einstein, it’s relativity that made the speed of light stay constant.

Now, the Doppler Effect is a different matter. To experience the Doppler Effect you’d have to be off the train and measure the waves of the light going both directions from the train. Because of the speed of the train relative to you, the light waves would hit you differently. That’s a different thing from being on the train and having the speed of light being constant relative to yourself.

If you’re on a plane going the speed of sound and you speak from one end of the plane your voice will actually travel faster than the speed of sound (relative to earth) to the other end of the plane because it’s carried within the air that’s packaged within the plane itself. So your sound waves will go faster than the speed of sound.

The same thing doesn’t happen when you’re on a plane shining a light. The light always travels 186,000 mps relative to you and any point of measurement. There is no way you can make it go faster, relative to anything in existence. So relative to the Earth, the speed of sound in the plane would be going faster than the speed of sound, or the voice carried within the plane would go faster than the speed of sound.

Using normal experiments they can’t make things go faster than the speed of light. However, they’ve done some type of subtle experiments with sub-atomic particles that seem to accomplish that but it’s open to interpretation.

When I was using this in reference to the universe I was making the point that the universe seemed to be very evenly expanding and how the speed of light is correspondingly so uniform. I think it’s possible that the uniformity that we have is based on some illusion and that we may discover some principles around this that will open up avenues, making it possible to go faster than the speed of light sometime in the future. Then, of course, there are spiritual principles that can be used whereby we can definitely go faster than the speed of light. But that’s another matter.

Question; “Is the Holy Order or priesthood active?”

That’s an interesting question. Before I go into it let’s discuss a little bit about what the priesthood is according to the way it’s normally defined. In most religions the priesthood is a type of order, a structure governing the church or body. That’s how it’s generally thought of; the higher the level of authority, the higher the office and so on.

In the Mormon Church it’s viewed a bit differently; it’s defined as authority from God. If you have authority from God, you have authority to officiate the church ordinances and such. In the Mormon doctrine they were given this authority by the angels. My native religion was the LDS and I was so ordained and given the priesthood there and used it a number of times. The LDS use it in healing, to officiate in church offices and functions and ordinances, baptisms, etc. There came a time when the church found out that I believed some sort of strange doctrines and since I wouldn’t renounce my ideas they excommunicated me. So according to the church they took away my priesthood so that should mean I don’t have power to do anything on the side of light.

I found this interesting. When I was in the church I saw several miraculous things happen; healing the sick and so on. Then, after I was supposedly removed of my priesthood I saw just as many or more miraculous things through healing without using the priesthood, and the spiritual presence was the same.

The Mormons believe that if you really honor the priesthood, you’ll have authority from God and can raise the dead and do all these things. Funny, in my own family, when my sister had cancer, one of my nephews had quite a bit of faith so he went and commanded her by the power of the priesthood to be healed. When it didn’t seem to do anything he was devastated. My sister died a short time later.

So, what really is the priesthood and where does the power come from? Is there power in priesthood? Or not? Is there really power of God in authority on the Earth? Or not? One of the most famous priests of all time was called Melchizedek. He lived in the days of Abraham. Abraham paid his tithes to him. He was said to have established peace on Earth in his age by the power he had through communion with God. We’re told in this age that the priesthood was called Melchizedek but originally it was called the Priesthood after the Order of the Son of God. It was changed to Melchizedek to sanctify the name of Son of God so the name of the Son of God would not be overused.

According to the scriptures, what happens if you have the priesthood? Here it says, “In the greater priesthood is ministereth the Gospel and holdeth the key to the mysteries of the kingdom even the key of the knowledge of God.” D&C 84:19 So if a person really does hold the priesthood he’s going to have the key to the mysteries and the key to the knowledge of God. I’ve met a lot of people who claim to have the priesthood but I haven’t met anyone with the knowledge of God. Most of these people who claim the priesthood shy away from any new knowledge. They think new knowledge is bad. Many of the churches push out people who attempt to find out the mind of God.

Here’s another great scripture:

D&C 121:34 “Behold, there are many called, but few are chosen. And why are they not chosen?

D&C 121:35 Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of this world, and aspire to the honors of men, that they do not learn this one lesson–

D&C 121:36 That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor handled only upon principles of righteousness.

D&C 121:37 That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man.

D&C 121:38 Behold, ere he is aware, he is left unto himself, to kick against the pricks, to persecute the saints, and to fight against God.

D&C 121:39 We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion.

D&C 121:40 Hence many are called, but few are chosen.

D&C 121:41 Now power or influence can or ought to be maintained by virtue of the priesthood, only by persuasion, by long-suffering, by gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned;

D&C 121:42 By kindness, and pure knowledge, which shall greatly enlarge the soul without hypocrisy, and without guile–

D&C 121:43 Reproving betimes with sharpness, when moved upon by the Holy Ghost; and then showing forth afterwards an increase of love toward him whom thou has reproved, lest he esteem thee to be his enemy;

D&C 121:44 That he may know that thy faithfulness is stronger than the cords of death.

D&C 121:45 Let thy bowels also be full of charity towards all men, and to the household of faith, and let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly; then shall thy confidence wax strong in the presence of God; and the doctrine of the priesthood shall distill upon thy soul as the dews from heaven.

D&C 121:46 The Holy Ghost shall be thy constant companion, and thy scepter an unchanging scepter of righteousness and truth; and thy dominion shall be an everlasting dominion, and without compulsory means it shall flow unto thee forever and ever.”

That’s from the Doctrine & Covenant section 121. I think those are beautiful words.

Now that I’ve read a few things here, let me just sum up in my own words what I believe the priesthood is. We’re told the priesthood is eternal; it has no beginning and no end. That it’s an order after the Order of the Son of God and it’s a key to the knowledge of God and it’s used by ordinances. Now, what’s an ordinance? An ordinance is symbol of something in Heaven represented on Earth. Let’s put all these things together.

What is the principle behind the Son of God? The principle behind the Son is the soul. The soul is the door to the spirit; the door that you open from Earth to Heaven. Soul contact is the key to the priesthood. It’s the key that opens the door so that you can have contact with the Holy Father, so to speak. So what is the key to the knowledge of God? The key to the knowledge of God is the Soul. The Soul is the symbol of the Son. The Son is the mediator between God and man; the Soul is the mediator between spirit and matter. So the key to the knowledge of God is the Soul; soul contact.

We’re told that one who has the priesthood has the key to the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. Again, soul contact is that key. Without soul contact and establishing communion with the Holy Spirit through the soul there is no key to the mysteries of the Kingdom of God revealed to you or anyone else. It’s all dependent upon obtaining the Holy Spirit.

It is written, “the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the power of Heaven and the powers of Heaven cannot be controlled only handled under the principle of righteousness.”

“Inseparably connected with the powers of Heaven”. And how are the powers of Heaven contacted? They’re contacted through soul contact. Communing with the Soul and getting in touch with the Holy Spirit is the key to communing with the powers of Heaven. It’s the only key there is.

“It is said that we will lose a connection to the powers of Heaven, any power to use any priesthood when we use our authority to compel the souls of men in any degree of unrighteousness.” So what happens when a person seeks to compel the souls of men? A veil is drawn between him and his soul so soul contact comes to a screeching halt. When soul contact comes to a halt so does any spiritual authority of that man. He has no connection to the powers of Heaven any longer. It doesn’t matter who ordained him or how many people proclaim him as prophet, priest or king. His priesthood comes to an end. So the true key to the priesthood is soul contact.

Then why have different religions in the past had ordinations to the priesthood? Can you ordain somebody to have soul contact? The answer is this. The Brotherhood of Light have often worked, in the past, through physical ordinances and representatives here upon the Earth. When they decided to do this they have called and ordained various representatives like in the times of Moses and other spiritual dispensations. But right now we’ve reached a point where it seems to be that those who have any power from God are those who have soul contact whether they’ve been ordained or not. It doesn’t seem to make a lot of difference because people who have soul contact will have power and authority from God and people who have no soul contact, whether or not they’ve received a physical ordination, will have no power from God.

I’ve talked quite a bit about the Molecular Order and have a book on it. It’s on the internet for those of you who are new. In a way when the Molecular Order, when it is set up, will be a form of priesthood as it was defined. We may not use priesthood in connection with it because a priesthood is merely some sort of order or structure whereby, if it’s operated correctly, the spirit of God can flow through the order. One of the things that give these various orders power is the power of symbols. Whenever the priesthood has been on the Earth it there has been symbols and ordinances connected with it.

DK calls the use of these symbols ceremonial magic. The power of ceremonial magic is going to be amplified a lot over the next couple hundred years because the seventh ray, which governs ceremonial magic, is coming into power at this time. Let me give you some things from the Christian Church that use ceremonial magic. One is baptism, ordaining for the Holy Spirit, the Eucharist and different things of that nature. These are all a part of ceremonial magic.

Does ceremonial magic work? Yes, if it’s done correctly and those who are participating have pure intent and have soul contact, then the spiritual energy can flow through the entire group. For instance, if a group of people take the Eucharist or Sacrament in representation of the Son of God and say eating the bread is a symbol of partaking of the body of Christ; drinking of the wine is a symbol of partaking of the spirit of Christ. When you do this and everyone in this communion are one and are in contact with the soul then they will be one through an interplay spiritual energy flowing through the group as one living body. Thus it will be indeed, ceremonial magic. It will be the magical power of the soul manifesting itself.

The times I’ve attended church and taken of the sacrament (Eucharist) did not seem to produce any spiritual effect. The first time I felt any power with the communion with the spirit through this ordinance was when I did this with a small group of about a half a dozen people and it wasn’t connected with the authorities of the church. When we did this I did this I felt a very strong spiritual flow and I was surprised. Now I can see on hindsight that we weren’t doing it because we were commanded, we were doing it because we were seeking the spirit and everyone had pure intent at the time. So when ceremonial magic is produced there is a spiritual flow produced and you have a manifestation of the priesthood; the interplay of spirit and matter through the magical power of the soul.

Now, as far as obtaining the power of God goes, we on our own can go only so far in our present state of consciousness. This is why we all have to help each other. The power of the Christ is to lend a helping hand to those who have not progressed as far as us and pulling them up. This is one of the purposes of the priesthood as given throughout history. Certain people are selected as teachers and priests to pull others up to where they are. Certain orders have been instituted on the earth at various times but they usually become corrupted within a short time after they’re instituted. It’s happened time after time but for short periods of time throughout the Earth’s history various orders have been set up and have been very beneficial and helpful to mankind. An example of a corrupt priesthood are the authorities who crucified Christ and held the mock trial for Him. In their so-called priesthood authority they condemned Him to death. Of course there was an end to their priesthood when that happened.

So right now the thing to be concerned about isn’t who has or doesn’t have the priesthood. The thing to be concerned with is who has or doesn’t have soul contact. If you have soul contact, you will have as much power as any king or priest upon the Earth. There may come a time in the future when the Brotherhood decides a specific work has to be done and they may call an individual or a number of individuals and give them some sort of rod of power representing the authority of the Brotherhood to go forth and do some monumental work. Until we hear otherwise our duty is to merely pursue the highest we know. Seek communion with the soul and in this way when you have communion with the soul, you have authority to proceed and do whatever the Holy Spirit tells you.

Speaking of authority I like a quote here from the Book of Mormon Prophet. He says in I Nephi 10:22, “And the Holy Ghost giveth me authority to speak these things.” If the Holy Ghost gives you the authority there is no higher authority than that. When the Holy Spirit speaks you have authority to proceed no matter who says you have or do not have the priesthood then you are justified. If you’re male of female, it matters not.

That’s it for now and don’t forget to think about what keywords go along with your initials. That’s really a form of ceremonial magic when you think about it. It works on the Law of Correspondences.

Going Where We’ve Never Gone Before

Going Where We’ve Never Gone Before
(Transcribed from a posted audio)

I got a bang out of a comment by a new member. She said, “I just wanted to say I’d never seen a picture of JJ. I would’ve thought he was a black man because he sounds like one on the audio.”

Forty or fifty years ago many white guys would’ve been insulted by that comment but we’ve progressed as a race to the point that we’ve done away with discrimination to the extent that that’s a compliment to many white folks today. So many black guys are cool in this age. As far as voices go, I love James Earl Jones. If I had to pick a voice for God; it would be his.

So, it’s interesting how society has changed.

The Tibetan is the teacher we also quite often call DK. He went by the name The Tibetan before he revealed his name. He says, “The only real sin is the sin of separateness.” In other words, everything that we consider a sin that really produces harmfulness in this world comes from being separative. To be inclusive and draw toward unity is really, in one way of looking at it, the only real virtue.

One of the advantages of working together on the internet is that we don’t even know what a lot of members look like. We might be surprised if we saw pictures of everybody. They might look quite a bit different that we expect. I think most of you have seen my picture and I’m thankful it hasn’t scared you off yet. If you withstood that I think we can withstand to see just about anybody in the group.

It looks like my little pep talk got your wheels spinning. We’ve received more comments so that’s good. It’s nice to have some good interplay going on. When we have a significant number of people posting it makes it more interesting for everyone involved so I appreciate your input here. I don’t have time to comment on all your posts concerning what you are becoming. I think a lot of your comments will inspire others and make others think so even if I don’t comment on them you might be surprised at how much impact you will have on other people on the list. Keep in mind that’s important. I can reach some people with certain truths that I may have but you can reach many that I cannot. You may word something in a certain way that may click in someone’s mind and may change their life. So, you never know how you expressing your thoughts may influence other people.

A member spoke of an interesting fear; the fear of embarrassment. A lot of people don’t say very much because they’re afraid they may sound silly of insignificant or whatever. But don’t let this stop you. You might be surprised how intelligent you sound to certain people. On the other hand, no matter how intelligent you try to sound it may sound silly to certain people. I’m sure a number of people listening to me think I’m out to lunch and a number of items but I just keep on going anyway. That’s what we all have to do because you will reach a certain number of people with your thoughts. They will identify with you and you will give them hope that they can move ahead. This is what it’s all about here.

Speaking of this, the fear of embarrassment reaches into a lot of avenues in our lives. I would suppose that every one of us here has had a certain amount of situations that we could be in that would be disturbing and embarrassing for us. So the fear of embarrassment is a big item, more than most people care to admit. Some people who consider themselves enlightened may be afraid to admit they have a fear of embarrassment.

Fear is a funny thing to talk about with people who consider themselves enlightened because many people who consider themselves enlightened have read books like “The Course in Miracles”, which tells us we shouldn’t fear and really puts fear down. Then they think, “I’m enlightened so if I’m enlightened I must not fear.” What it will often do to the seeker is – he doesn’t want to admit to himself that he has fears for he may not be ready to line up with the Masters.

A lot of seekers like to think they’re up there on the top of the totem pole so it tends to cause many people to suppress their fears rather than face them. By suppressing their fear and thinking they have no fear in any situation they can convince themselves that they are on par with the greater lives of the universe and don’t need to face any fears now whereas many people with this mindset do have fears they need to face. As I’ve said in past posts, one of the greatest fears to face is the fear of fear. Nothing causes the fear of fear more than the teaching that if you are enlightened you will not fear. So people are afraid they aren’t enlightened so they’re afraid of fear. They’re afraid to face the fears within themselves because if they happen to find a fear they come to the conclusion, “I must not be enlightened then because I have a fear.” In truth you can be very enlightened and still have fears.

When God Himself jumped into this universe and took upon this whole universe as His physical body He did so with fear and trembling. DK tells us that fear is in the warp and woof of the universe itself. It’s in the weave of the universe and it can be traced back to something very ancient. It isn’t something you can just will away. When we overcome one thing and reach our next hurdle, there will be a point of tension. Every point of tension has some fear connected with it. It’s true that we need to overcome that fear. When we do we go through a period of fearlessness and peace and union with God but then come back and enter another hurdle. When we approach this next point of tension there will be fear on some level all over again. For the higher lives like the Solar Logos, what may be fear in His correspondence may not be something we would even call fear. But He does approach a point of tension. Fear, as we understand it is strongly connected to a point of tension. Before any manifestation this must happen.

A member quotes me as follows, “One phrase that has never settled well with me is ‘I’m becoming who I already am.” When you think about it it’s really a silly statement. If you’re becoming what you already are, you’re already that so you don’t need to become it. She states, “I’m becoming the awareness of which I’ve always been, that which is unchanged by all appearances.”

Now, beyond the world of appearances is to be beyond the three worlds of form. The physical/etheric is the lowest world, then the astral then the world of the mind. These are three worlds where form lies. Beyond that are four higher worlds in this sphere. These four worlds are the Buddhic, the Atmic, the world of the Monad, and the Divine. Now, these seven worlds make up another world which is called the Cosmic Physical. In the cosmic world there are also seven planes; the cosmic physical, the cosmic astral, the cosmic mental, the cosmic buddhic, and so one up. All these worlds are becoming. When you go beyond the three lower physical worlds, you’re really only scratching the surface of where you can go to in becoming.

In a way, she is correct in that there is a place beyond the world of appearances (which is the three lower worlds of form manifestation). These higher worlds are worlds of energy and ideas. The ideas are still in motion and evolving and becoming. As DK explains to us, even a soul is still in the process of evolving. It is a master on its own plane. Our solar angel has progressed in another sphere, another world. It was once on an earth like this and it has extended itself and taken the seed of the monad, which is us, and nurtured and developed it until we have become what we are now; an independent entity. Even the soul is still becoming on its own sphere and it will be different tomorrow than it is today. There will be a time when our soul will eventually be a solar logos somewhere, or part of a solar logos in consciousness.

But on analyzing her words on the aspect that she’s looking at it she actually sees it quite similar to the way that I see it but she’s expressing it in different words. She’s talking about an eternal part of herself and we do have an eternal part of ourselves. What is that?

The eternal part of our self is the monad. The esoteric books don’t explain very clearly what a monad is because I don’t think a lot of them understand what it is. The monad is basically a seed, the original idea that represents what you are. You began, if you can say that, as an idea in the mind of God and because the mind of God exists beyond time, you are an eternal idea. I often point out that the song “Yesterday” is an eternal idea with no beginning. The idea of this song can never be destroyed. It will manifest time and time again. As it manifests time and time again it will become and take on all kinds of arrangements and sounds. It will have the same identity about it but it will be different in each incarnation it takes. Everyone who sings it sounds it just a little bit differently.

It’s the same with us. We are an idea in the mind of God that is manifesting and we play ourselves just a little bit differently in each life until we play ourselves all the different ways in the world of possibilities. Then we become a part of a greater song. The correspondence, like I say, is never exact but with us, when we play our notes perfectly, so that we sound them in every conceivable positive way that can be sounded, through a series of lives, then we join in a greater song. We then become a single note, so to speak, in a great symphony.

So a monad is like a seed. Let’s take a seed from a great tree for example, an oak tree. When you plant the seed it sprouts up and begins to grow. As it grows it is not becoming the seed but it’s becoming the fullness of the idea behind the seed. As it grows it becomes different than the other monads or seeds. One oak tree may be a different size or a little bit different coloring and have more branches than another oak tree. A pruner may come along and prune one of the trees and not prune another so it creates an entirely different appearance. When the seed, which is the basic idea of the monad, matures, it does not become the seed but it becomes something more than the seed. Then eventually the tree dies then the tree is reborn and it grows up again but this time the appearance is just a little different because the seed, the monad has been altered a bit with the experience of the growth. And the experience of the growth is incorporated into the new seed. The new seed is grown again and the new tree is grown again and the appearance is a little different; a little more refined because the tree is in the process of becoming and manifesting the idea better than it’s ever been manifested before.

It’s the same with you as a human being. Your monad is your seed and it has created everything from your body to your feelings to your mind, all these things. So all these things are expressing and maturing the basic idea. What you are becoming is not as you began because you are maturing into something that has never been, never manifested in the way that you are manifesting.

DK makes an interesting comment about a time in the far future when we will go back to our essence, so to speak. He says, “Respond, O Rising One, to the call which comes within the sphere of obligation; recognize the call emerging from the Ashram or from the Council Chamber where waits the Lord of Life Himself. The Sound goes forth. Both soul and form together must renounce the principle of life and thus permit the Monad to stand free. The soul responds. The form then shatters the connection. Life is now liberated, owning the quality of conscious knowledge and the fruit of all experience. These are the gifts of soul and form combined.” Esoteric Healing, Page 502

Now when we’ve gone back to our Father in Heaven, so to speak, or the Monad, the situation is different than the beginning. That difference He says in these words, “That the Monad now owns “the quality of conscious knowledge and the fruit of all experience.” These are the gifts of soul and form combined.” So the monad is not as it was before. It is now different. It owns the quality of conscious knowledge and the fruit of all experience. This takes place through the process of becoming.

So is this the end of our evolution? To go back to our essence then just be there forever? No, it isn’t. It’s only one part of a cycle. We go back to our essence, so to speak, and we absorb and we nurture these experiences and feast upon them. Here we’re producing fruit, symbolically, and when we go back to our essence we feast on the fruit. That fruit is conscious knowledge and the fruit of all experience. We savor and digest all these experiences we’ve had, then begins a new round of experiences; a new process of becoming where we go forth again and we become that which we have never been before. Then when we return we are that which we have never been before and we feast on that which we’ve never feasted on before.

Some people, I believe, misinterpret this ‘being that which you’ve always been’. If you look at it the way some people interpret it, I would compare it to something like this. A man is a doctor and has a successful life. He gets hit on the head, has amnesia and wanders in the back streets of the ghetto and becomes a bum. He doesn’t really know who he was or is. So he bums around for a couple of years then enlightenment hits and he remembers who he is and returns to his status as a doctor. He continues his practice and thinks, “This is great. I’d much rather be a doctor than a bum.” This is all well and good but suppose we had to do this again and again. He gets hit on the head another time and forgets who he is and after awhile he gets enlightenment and comes back and now he’s a doctor again.

Would you want to do this for all eternity to keep on going back and doing the same thing over and over? Getting hit on the head and going back and getting hit on the head and going back. After awhile it would get real monotonous yet this is what a lot of new age people think happens to us. We are gods, we come down, we forget we’re gods, then we go back and we’re gods again. A lot of them believe we repeat this cycle for all eternity. Others believe we go back to being gods and we’re just that for all eternity in some situation and circumstance and consciousness that no one knows anything about or can describe.

What each of us needs to do is go with what we understand. When we move out of our understanding we go in avenues of theory and we’re going to get sidetracked and our progression will be delayed. Take the highest you know. Follow it. Follow the next step in the highest you know. When you do that your soul will give you your next step after that. When your soul gives you your next step make sure you follow it because if you do not, circumstance will force you into situations that make you come back and face what your soul has given you. This is very frustrating and time consuming to repeat. I’ve done it several times myself in this life. Several times I’ve kept coming back into the same circumstance all over again until I face my self and the next step that I have to take. Sometimes it’s very difficult. We enter into our phase, often kicking and screaming and have to literally force ourselves to take it.

Jesus made a very interesting statement that DK often quotes. He said, “The kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force.” DK points out that certain aspects of the kingdom of God have to be taken by force. In other words, when you see the next step you have to take you very often have to take it with very strong discipline, forcing your lower self into harmony with your higher self. It won’t happen by relaxing and allowing it to happen, or just letting your soul take over. You have to make a definite decision and force compliance of the lower self to the higher.

One of my favorite statements of DK is the extract at the beginning of each book. “I am one who has wrestled and fought his way into a greater measure of light than has the aspirant who will read this article. I must, therefore, act as a transmitter of the light, no matter what the cost.” He had to fight himself into the position he is in now and that’s the way it is with all of us. It’s a struggle and a fight. There are those who say you don’t have to struggle and fight or force your lower self into compliance. Many of these are at a standstill and they don’t realize it.

Some are like the Jehovah Witnesses that believe they’re one with the 144,000 and they can now relax. So they’re relaxing, thinking they have it made and not realizing they’re at a standstill. The coming to a standstill is very negative toward our progression and often causes us to waste two or three lifetimes not moving anywhere. Oftentimes our soul has to bring some great dramatic experience to us, similar to our own Twin Towers going down, before we wake up and smell the coffee and decide things aren’t going to move along without a little struggle.

A member explained this by illustrating the caterpillar changing into the butterfly. When it does this it goes through metamorphosis and has to struggle to break out of its cocoon. You’ve probably heard the story that says if you help a caterpillar break out of its cocoon it will die. It stirs the life force in the struggle of breaking free. In this struggle it turns into the butterfly. DK became a Master because He “struggled into a greater measure of light than has the disciple or aspirant who will read these pages.”

A member sites the example of lower part of herself has been receiving messages that were accurate from the higher self and help prepare for things to come. That’s something I think we all believe in. This is part of our becoming, that is to get in tune with the higher part of our self so that we can receive accurate inspirational, psychic messages or whatever name you call them by, so that we can be prepared for the things to come. This idea I’m in perfect harmony with – we’re just expressing it a little differently.

She makes the interesting statement that awareness doesn’t move. That’s true because awareness is from the vantage point that’s beyond the three worlds of human endeavor. Awareness has its seed in the higher world. Awareness in the three worlds can only exist where there is a connection between the higher and the lower. In other words, there is no awareness of the lower worlds unless there is some sort of connection. The principle of awareness itself has to do with formlessness so there is really no moving in form in the principle of awareness itself. The interplay of awareness and form produces the awareness that we undergo here. Awareness itself is becoming on its own plane. It’s changing and evolving and is the fruit of all experience that DK speaks of.

When we go back to our essence we will have that awareness and we will enjoy the fruit of all experience. But the awareness will be amplified. That’s part of the reason for coming down here. It heightens our awareness of the eternal part of our self. Before we came down into the physical plane our monad had very little, if any awareness of the physical world. But now it’s experiencing the physical world so its awareness has actually increased. When we go back and become one with the highest part of our self our awareness we will be that which it has never been before.

One of the reasons we science fiction buffs like Star Trek so much is because of the theme: “Going where no man has ever gone before.” Everyone really loves this motto, “Going where no person has ever gone before.” That’s what we’re doing in every life. We’re going where we’ve never been before. That’s what makes life exciting and what makes the prospect of eternal life exciting. In each one of the multiplicity of an unlimited number of lifetimes in our future, we will go where we’ve never gone before. The prospect of doing the same things over and over, as many people believe, from Christians who think we’ll go sing with Angels over and over for eternity, to others who think we go back to some essence and exist in eternity in a changeless state. Going where no one has gone before sounds much more interesting to me. Since we have the power of decision, you can only spend so long in eternal bliss until, sooner or later, a person will decide, “I’m going to go where no one has gone before. I’m going to go where I’ve never been before.” Sooner or later, no matter how much bliss and stillness you may occupy in a state of pralaya or rest, you will decide to go where you’ve never been before. This decision will keep coming up within you for all eternity. This is the reason why God created the universe to begin with. He decided to go where He’d never gone before. That’s why we are all here.
