Christ-mas

I thought I would divert from the regular class and give a Christmas message. Maybe I will start a tradition with this and do it each year.
This is the time of year that we celebrate the birth of Christ, a symbol of the first initiation where the birth of the Christ Consciousness is born in the dark cavern of the heart.

I like the account of this given in the Aquarian Gospel:

(Beginning of quoted material.)

“1. The time was nearly due for Jesus to be born, and Mary longed to see Elizabeth, and she and Joseph turned their faces toward the Judean hills.

“2. And when upon their way they came to Bethlehem the day was done, and they must tarry for the night.

“3. But Bethlehem was thronged with people going to Jerusalem; the inns and homes were filled with guests, and Joseph and his wife could find no place to rest but in a cave where animals were kept; and there they slept.

“4. At midnight came a cry, a child is born in yonder cave among the beasts. And lo, the promised son of man was born.

“5. And strangers took the little one and wrapped him in the dainty robes that Mary had prepared and laid him in a trough from which the beasts of burden fed.

“6. Three persons clad in snowwhite robes came in and stood before the child and said,

“7. All strength, all wisdom and all love be your, Immanuel.

“8. Now, on the hills of Bethehem were many flocks of sheep with shepherds guarding them.

“9. The shepherds were devout, were men of prayer, and they were waiting for a strong deliverer to come.

“10. And when the child of promise came, a man in snow-white robe appeared to them, and they fell back in fear. The man stood forth and said,

“11. Fear not! behold I bring you joyful news. At midnight in a cave in Bethehem was born the prophet and the king that you have long been waiting for.

“12. And then the shepherds all were glad; they felt that all the hills were filled with messengers of light, who said,

“13. All glory be to God on high; peace, peace on earth, good will to men.”

“Peace, peace on earth, good will to men,” is perhaps the most glorious and hopeful words in all the scriptures, perhaps the greatest words in our language, period, but unfortunately, the full meaning behind the phrase is hidden and not seen by the majority.

When the words are heard many only hear the first part of the phrase and discount the implications of the “good will” portion.

“What do you mean?” one may ask. “Do not peace and good will go together?”

Not necessarily. It depends on the kind of peace which is pursued.

Is there more than one kind of peace?

Yes.

What are they?

Answer: Peace without good will and peace with good will.

What is the difference?

Let me give a possible example. If we had given in to all Hitler’s demands and let him have dominion piece by piece over the world we could have had peace, but there would have been no good will. If today the people had peace, or a lack of conflict, yet have Nazis as our cruel taskmasters there would be no good will either from the Nazis or from the people abused by them.

Instead of settling for this false peace, the Allied nations waged war on Hitler and when we prevailed then the possibility of both peace and good will became possible. We then worked with the energy of good will in a time of peace and helped Germany and Japan rebuild and then let them retain their own independent government.

Because of this good will in a time of peace, which was won through conflict, Japan and Germany are now our friends. In fact they are often more supportive of the United States today than are some of our allies from World War 2.

A static peace which is merely as lack of conflict is easy to attain. All you have to do is roll over and play dead. But then as the enemy steamrolls over you and your friends good will will be ground into the ethers nowhere to be found

Here are a few words of Djwahl Khul (DK) on the subject:

“It is no doubt an undeniable spiritual truth that right thought can change and save the world, but it is also true that there are not enough people able to think to do this work. Also, there is not enough time in which to do it. The thoughts of peace are mainly founded upon a stubborn idealism that loves the ideal more than humanity. They are based also upon an unrecognised fear of war and upon an individual inertia which prefers the dream world of wishful thinking to the shouldering of responsibility for the security of humanity.

“Thus briefly have I sought to make the position of the New Group of World Servers clear as it fights for the rights of man, for the spiritual future of humanity, and for the new world order.

“Peace must not be imposed by those who hate war. Peace must be a natural outcome and expression of the human spirit, and of a determination to change the world attitude into one of right human relations (good will to men).”

This is an interesting statement: “Peace must not be imposed by those who hate war.”

Why is this?

Because hatred of any kind, even a hatred of war will bring circumstances that will suffocate good will. To bring the desired peace and good will we must be willing to do what is necessary.

Why?

DK explains it in this profound statement:

“There is no peace in the questioning hearts of those who are not actively sharing in the struggle against evil.”

This is an interesting statement. No real peace is even possible for those “who are not actively sharing in the struggle against evil.” Unfortunately, this struggle can sometimes include war.

Of the Christ it is written:

“In righteousness he doth judge and make war.” (Rev 19:11)

This is also affirmed by DK as follows:

“The Prince of Peace will lead His people–through war–to peace. Those who think only in terms of peace as they understand it and desire it are apt to forget the Biblical implication that the Prince of Peace takes a definite part in the battle of Armageddon… After achieving victory, He will then lead His triumphant cohorts through the gates into “Jerusalem,” the city of peace. The symbolic and practical significance of this is becoming increasingly apparent. This notable event can and will take place when the free will of the people, blended by invocation and prayer, can make this possible.”

Here is another quote from DK:

“This Avatar can descend to the physical plane and there appear, to lead His people–as the Prince Who leads through war to peace.”

DK tells us that the Christ led us to peace through war during World War Two by working with the hearts and minds of the leaders of the Allied nations to defeat the Axis powers. It is hoped by the Hierarchy that we will not have another major physical conflict before the coming new age, but that the next war will be on the plane of the mind reaching down to the emotional level.

Where this new war surface?

DK gives us a hint:

“Years ago I said that the war which may follow this one would be waged in the field of the world religions. Such a war will not work out, however, in a similar period of extreme carnage and blood; it will be fought largely with mental weapons and in the world of thought; it will involve also the emotional realm, from the standpoint of idealistic fanaticism. This inherent fanaticism (found ever in reactionary groups) will fight against the appearance of the coming world religion and the spread of esotericism. For this struggle certain of the well-organised churches, through their conservative elements (their most powerful elements), are already girding themselves. Those sensitive to the new spiritual impacts are still far from powerful; that which is new always faces the supreme difficulty of superseding and overcoming that which is old and established. Fanaticism, entrenched theological positions, and materialistic selfishness are to be found actively organised in the churches in all continents and of all denominations. They can be expected to fight for their established ecclesiastical order, their material profit and their temporal rule, and already are making the needed preparations.

“The coming struggle will emerge within the churches themselves; it will also be precipitated by the enlightened elements who exist in fair numbers already, and are rapidly growing in strength through the impact of human necessity. The fight will then spread to thinking men and women everywhere who–in a protesting revolt–have denied orthodox churchianity and theology. They are not irreligious but have, through pain and sorrow, learned (without ecclesiastical help) that the spiritual values are the only values which can salvage humanity, that the Hierarchy stands, and that Christ–as the symbol of peace and the Leader of the Forces of Light–is not a negligible force but one that is evoking response from the hearts of men everywhere. True religion will come to be interpreted in terms of the will-to-good and its practical expression, goodwill.”

Today we have just scratched the surface in introducing the truths of the coming age to the churches of the world. The time is coming that these truths must be presented by spiritual warriors who are ready for the great conflict which will ensue. Many churches already see new agers as agents of evil and the antichrist. Imagine their alarm when these truths are actively discussed through the media so they become points of discussion which reaches into almost every home.

Many will rise up and resist the new tidal wave of truth with all their means, but just as the church fathers failed to prevent the exploration of the New World after Columbus, even so will they fail in stopping the great light which has come out of the East “and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matt 24:27)

What must be accomplished before the Prince of Peace can return and consummate the peace which leads to good will?

First the world must reach a degree of stability on its own–so the chances of another great world war on the physical plane is reduced to a minimum. This conflict with the terrorists must be resolved and their power to disrupt the peace of the nations must be curtailed.

The teachings of the East (Djwahl Khul, H. P. Blavatsky, and others) must become more widely taught and discussed.

One or more groups must be prepared to receive this Master of Masters. As it is now the “son of man hath no where to lay his head.” In other words, there is no major group upon the earth (new or old age) that he could walk into and be accepted. Most would cast him out as a trouble maker for his teachings would be seen as a threat to their own belief system.

The call is therefore made to you and me, my friends:

Prepare, prepare a home for the coming of the Lord of Light and Love. Come out of the wilderness of illusionary thought and make a straight the path to the minds and hearts of humanity for the great Lord. If he comes to us as a thief in the night, let us be on watch that we be not overtaken by unbelief and cast out the Word of God as if it were an intruder. Let us prepare ourselves to recognize the face of the Lord and give Him a place to begin His great work that we may hear the desired words of every disciple:

“Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”

As we are again approaching the holiday season it is quite appropriate that I give you a message related to the great Entity responsible for this celebration.

In my writings there has been emphasis on key words. Let us suppose we were asked to give a key word describing the effect of this “Master of Masters, teacher of angels and men.” What would it be?

Several key words could be given and would seem to be accurate, but let me give you one to consider.

The word I would give would be “celebration.”

Many would question this word, especially when considering the history of Christianity over the past two thousand years. Many merely look at every negative detail of history and piously proclaim that Jesus and the religion He inspired to be dismal failures. If this is so, then is there indeed anything to celebrate?

There is much to celebrate.

The great celebration began with the birth of Jesus. At this event the scriptures tell us that shepherds in the fields heard angels singing in celebration “peace, peace on earth – good will to men.”

The short-sighted person would look at the world since the birth of the Messiah and possibly conclude that the angels were celebrating in vain, that peace on earth has been a pipe dream that is not likely to materialize.

On the contrary, the angels knew exactly what they were doing. They were not looking ahead to the end of the life of Jesus or even a thousand or two thousand years in the future. The reason they were singing with celebration is that they saw the birth of Jesus as a first step of many that would be taken until the whole mission was complete. Because they saw that this first step had been taken and that the other steps which would follow were sure and true, the angels saw a picture of the whole effect of the mission of Christ and that effect which soon awaits us is “peace on earth good will to men.”

Isaiah saw through the same eyes as did the angels when he wrote:

“And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”(Isaiah 2:4)

The great mission of Christ thus began with the birth of Jesus and the maturing of a teacher who gave us the greatest, most memorial words ever spoken upon the earth. This Messiah saw the vision, as did the angels of a time that men would no longer learn war and instead use the energy dedicated to it toward productive means. He realized that this time was in the distance and the mission must begin with inner peace.

Even in the midst of outward turbulence, Jesus placed emphasis on peace:

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” (Mark 4:39)

Why did the elements obey his command? Even the elemental lives which rule the storms have within their center the Presence of God. When Jesus spoke the word “Peace” followed by a directed thought, He caused the attention of the life force of the elements to be directed toward the inner peace of God rather than the outer storm. The moment these tiny lives were reminded of the peace of God within their center they became still with reverence and the storm did cease to be.

Jesus would sometimes greet his friends with a salutation of peace:

“And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.” (Luke 24:36)

Jesus promised the disciples an enduring inner peace, even though the outer world would war against them:

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

The great principle behind permanent peace is this. First there must be an inner peace where the consciousness of the seeker must register the silent voice of God within his soul. After this occurs such a person will seek peace on all levels with all his heart.

So why is it then that the disciples of the world who have felt of this peace suffered great distress because of persecution from those who know no peace?

The answer is simple. Those who do not know peace will fight against those who do know peace. The solution is equally simple. Those who know not peace must be introduced to peace.

This was one of the main reasons that Jesus sent his disciples into the world, to teach the Gospel, which literally means “good news.” One of the reasons it was seen as good news was that the moment that a person is taught through the soul and feels the peace of God within then he will also desire the peace without.

The enemies of peace become willing to lay down their swords the moment they are reminded of that which they inwardly have always known. Within the souls of all men and women is the Spirit of God that carries the peace of God.

Those who feel the peace of the Spirit may be forced to fight now and then so that the innocent will be protected, for “in righteousness he (Christ) doth judge and make war.” Rev 19:11

But the moment that the destroyer is rendered harmless the man of peace seeks only to heal and not hurt, to build and not tear down and to give love to all and hate to no one.

If we could then truly see through the eyes of the angels, we too would see in vision the completed mission of Christ, that the peace within exponentially touches the souls of humanity until the majority desire the peace without that they also feel inside. In that day heaven and earth is brought together, the earth is transformed through the knowledge of God and the Masters and angels manifest themselves again among the common people.

He who touches the hem of the garment of Christ and sees the direction He is taking us can only have one feeling in his heart. That feeling is one of celebration – not only over that which is to be, but because of the great work and sacrifice which has been.

The world senses the truth of this key word at this time of year and celebrates a remembrance of the birth of Christ as they celebrate none other. They celebrate by singing songs of praise. They celebrate by giving gifts. They celebrate by making the occasion festive, fun and light-hearted. They celebrate by remembering the poor. They celebrate by reverencing the Creator of all things. They celebrate by decorating their home with lights. And they celebrate by giving forth an increase of love to all.

This inward feeling that pushes ordinary people to celebrate is a testimony that the soul of the human race has registered that there is indeed something to celebrate. The angels of our nature have caught a glimpse of the future, and it is glorious.

Christmas Reminder

For some time now the spirit of this time of year has been affecting me more than usual. It happens whenever someone sings a Christmas carol about Christ such as “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” or “Joy to the World.”
It seems that each year the intensity of the experience increases.

This year it happened as I was doing some shopping. First I passed a bell ringer and entered a food co-op I frequent. After I was inside a few moments four Christmas carolers came inside and started singing. As they sang my heart burned with greater intensity than it did the year before. The Presence came to me with great power and love and said:

“I am near, very near, as is the day of my appearance. Let your faith be renewed… The day draweth near.”

How near is difficult to say from my perspective, but from looking at it with the idea that the promise is around 2000 years old, several decades hence would yet be very near. Yet at the time the coming of the Lord seemed to be in the now. This is because the Spirit always speaks from the point of the eternal present and thus God, when felt, is nearer than any other life.

Even so, I felt the meaning of the message was more than this, for I already have an approximate idea of when certain events will arrive. Instead I sensed the main purpose of the affirmation was to strengthen my faith in the work in which we are engaged in preparing for the reappearance of the Christ.

The problem with a work that requires faith and endurance is that there is a natural tendency, after a period of time, to view the struggle as if it were an academic thing. But then when one is reminded of the reality behind the ideal it is as if an awakening occurs.

Christ is indeed real. The entity who has the position of Christ is real as is the Christ which is in each of us.

For us to be as real as the Master we must see the Christ in ourselves, each other, and humanity as a whole.

Peace, Peace on earth. Good Will to Men.

Merry Christmas

The greater the light the greater will be the attack of the forces of darkness upon the Light or upon His name.

The greatest Light in our history is the Christ. The attack on His name and the truth behind His teachings have never ceased since He was nailed to the cross.

Much of the attack in the past has been upon distorting his teachings and corrupting His image so that which is seen as the Christ, is anti-Christ, and that which is the truth of Christ is veiled and replaced with deception. Alas, for much of the last two thousand years the love of Christ has been replaced with fear, the light of Christ has been replaced with darkness and the words of Christ has been replaced with words to empower the little minds of those who seek power and glory for themselves.

We now live in an age where much has changed and the light and love of Christ are difficult to suppress and hold back. Bibles are no longer chained to the pulpit, the scriptures, and other words of light, are no longer the domain of the few. The fact of “Christ in you” is being sensed by the many.

Today, the anti-Christ forces realize that the flow of information is so powerful that other methods of attack must be used.

In the past, to placate the masses, they extolled the name and image of Christ, but it was the wrong image and a corrupted understanding of the name. Thus they could seemingly praise the Christ while controlling the people with their own version of him.

In this age many are awakening to the fact that the true Christ is the Lord of love, and not fear, so a direct attack is being used. Instead of distortion they are now seeking to ban the use of his name. If the name of the Christ is dropped from public consciousness then people will forget the Master and what he stood for.

Many efforts are being made to erase the Christ (as well as any mention of God). Many stores are banning bell ringers from the Salvation Army.

A most powerful ban from public consciousness begins with our education system.

Even though Christ was definitely a historical figure with the perhaps the greatest influence of any man who ever lived it is generally forbidden to teach anything about him, his teachings and his influence even from an historical prospective.

Even though Christmas is a federal holiday in the U.S. created by Abraham Lincoln, this holiday honoring his birth is losing his name. It is now politically correct to say “happy holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas.” Christmas trees are called, “community trees” or “holiday trees.” Throughout the nation and the world bans are being introduced by governments on singing Christmas Carols, nativity scenes, verses from the scriptures, Christian symbols, Christmas cards, Christian floats in parades, and in many cases even the mentioning the name of Christ, or God.

Much of this is done in the name of political correctness with the idea of not offending minority religions and atheists. Yet no other religion or religious figure is attacked in this manner. For instance, in some schools where talk of Christ is forbidden students are ordered to read the Koran and study the customs of Islam.

The other argument for banning Christ is the separation of Church and state.

The Founding Fathers did not want to ban religion or talk of religion, but wanted to prevent the establishment of a state religion. Talking of religion and wearing the symbols of religion as an individual has nothing in common with the establishment of a state religion. On the contrary, such speech is in harmony with the first amendment of free speech.

The bottom line is this. Christians, Buddhists, Moslems, atheists and all other forms of thought should not be banned by anyone. If citizens wish to express themselves in a harmless manner let then do so without fear of reprisal.

While I have often criticized the Christian churches for their errors I am very much against restricting them from expressing their love for Christ or God. The world takes one of the few things they have right and fights against it seeking to place them in total darkness.

Let us take the best that religion has drawn from Christ and expand upon it. Let us not be ashamed of his great name and wish others a Merry Christmas, sing some of the great Christmas carols and send forth good will in the name of the Master.

Meditate on the words of the angels, “Peace, peace, on earth good will to men.” Can you reflect upon these great words of power more than a few seconds without wiping a tear from your eyes? Can you listen to a Christmas Carol and really hear words like “Joy to the World,” without welling up inside with overflowing hope and inner joy?

Christmas is not perfect, but it does direct our attention to the Christ and his message of hope and love. Let us not let any person or agency take that focus from us.

Ruth asks:

“I wondered what benefit it would be to the Christ or even Jesus to reincarnate into the World again via being born as babies, if they are already working in the World in physical bodies now?

“If they incarnated as babies, then wouldn’t they both have to start from the bottom and work their way up, and yet, they would both still know who they were at a particular age, and then work with humanity at that age?”

JJ:

Whether or not one of the greater lives can work in the flesh with humanity and how they can interplay with us is determined by two things:

1. Humanity’s karma.
2. The readiness of humanity and disciples who will be taught by the avatar.

To openly manifest to humanity would create such a disturbance that this situation is avoided in this age. We are told that the gods walked among men in the days of Atlantis and this may have been necessary at the time to accomplish certain objectives, but it also created numerous problems, which would be amplified today.

One obvious problem would be that those in power and authority would be threatened and would seek to undermine the work and teachings of the Masters.

The coming of Christ will pave the way for the externalization of the Hierarchy so they can work openly with humanity again. My guess is that it will take some time before humanity is ready for complete openness, that it will be first tested among disciples.

In recorded history the greater lives have been born among us when they desire to work directly with us. When one is born as a babe he is much more accepted than a life that may not be seen as a normal human. Sometimes an avatar will be born among us and other times he will overshadow a disciple. The overshadowing has drawbacks as the body belongs to the disciple and not the Master. This gives the disciple full power of decision making and if he does not listen properly or fully cooperate then the work can suffer. Jesus was one that did fully cooperate (as far as we know) and this made his life a great success.

The drawback of the avatar being born as a babe is that it may take some time for him to fully understand his mission and he has to pump into his mind all the data and learning he will need for his mission. The advantage is he can work among us as a normal human without being an immediate threat to the powers-that-be and within the restrictions of karma.

That said, let me wish the group a Merry Christmas.

Again, in history, we are sitting on the blending of two ages, waiting for an avatar, a Messiah, a Christ to come. Inevitably such a life does show up. He will often come in a way not expected, in a situation unforeseen and be a character not like that envisioned. He will teach that which was not anticipated, ignore foundations held sacred and build on others held in low esteem. He will honor those rejected and ignore many held in great esteem.

All true disciples take the path less traveled by when that is the path that leads to the next step humanity must take.

May we all find the Christ giving birth to a new consciousness within us at this time so we can recognize the servants of the Master when they appear.

Here are two Christmas related poems. The first was written for the Keys group in 2007 and the second written in the Sixties for a college paper. Enjoy.

Through His Eyes

The Master rested from his work and arose
It was that time of the year again
The time that the nations celebrated his birth
And give gifts one to another.

He stood up and looked West
And saw to the East, and to the North and the South.
“What are the minds of men thinking this year?”
Was the thought that demanded an answer.

“Has the world made any progress?
“Is the consciousness of Christ that is in me ready to manifest in them?”
“If I go to them will they let me teach them,
Or will they crucify the Son of God anew?”

His eyes pierced the veil and he saw a man scolding his friends.
“You do not honor Christ by celebrating his birth on an old pagan holiday.
“Your giving gifts does not honor Him.
“Your celebrations are a mockery he would scorn.”

But the Master looked into the hearts of his friends
And saw the consciousness of Christ taking birth.
One had donated gifts to poor children;
Gifts that made them feel like God cared for them.

Another gave more than he could afford to a Bell Ringer
And this lifted the spirits of the downtrodden.
Another sent a package to a soldier all alone away from home.
His heart was glad and felt peace in the midst of war.

The Master sent his thoughts to the mind of the scornful man.
“It is true that human materialism comes through at Christmas “But so too does the better part of the human spirit.
“Some of the forgotten are remembered and give glory to God.”

He looked again and saw a Father troubled by a recent divorce,
separated from his children.
His ex-wife hated him and tore up all his letters and trashed his presents.
This Christmas a letter and presents came again, but this time she
thought of Christ,
Her heart was softened and the children saw the words “I love you, from Dad.”

The Master looked far away and saw a man who had lost his faith.
Poor fellow was about to glare at the skies and curse God for his troubles.
A knock came at the door – young carolers sang with giving spirit.
The words and melodies gave new birth to his wounded heart – he would
try and believe again.

Again he looked and saw a man hurriedly driving through the snow,
late for a Christmas party.
He spotted a car stuck off the road and was about to pass by, but
then stopped for that’s what Jesus would do.
It was a lady on the way to the hospital to see her father before he died.
He helped her on her way, was late for the party but on time for Christmas.

The Master looked again and again and saw good works that may have
not been done if not for Christmas.
His heart was gladdened
Not because Christmas was as he designed
Not because humanity was particularly spiritual.
Not because they gave gifts
Not even because this was his birthday, for it is not.

His heart was gladdened because those who paused to think of his
message this season
Went the extra mile in helping their fellowmen,
And lifted their spirits.
Perhaps when every day is Christmas there will be peace on earth good
will to men.
Perhaps.

The Light of Christmas

The snow falls.
The bells ring.
Male and female hand in hand,
Communication.
Passing lights and colors.
Music in the air,
A spirit of gaiety is there.
The music rings: “par-um-pum-pum-pum,”
Everyone hears the boy and his drum;
And the heart of all begins to burn
Kindled by music that exalts the mind,
Like the Spirit at Pentecost.
Felt though unspoken, even by he who feels lost.

Boys and girls, their eyes reflecting wonderment,
Glow bright, then dim, then bright,
Have no thoughts to hide…
Purity inside.

A youth buying presents, though not enough,
His friends buy more and get more than he.
He wants to be someone else, somewhere else.

Men and women walking, many Christmases in their past;
The brightness of their eyes fading with the years,
Worn by experience.
The glimmer there is a reflection from their children.
As the moon reflects the light of the sun,
The light of Christmas belongs to the little ones;
We must see through their eyes.

Sacrifice

I guess it’s about time I gave my Christmas message, albeit a little late. As you know I wanted to see Valkyrie and comment on it first.

And what does Valkyrie have to do with Christmas?

True sacrifice.

And what does sacrifice have to do with Christmas?

Answer: The core message of Jesus and the Piscean Age he represented was sacrifice.

His life was a great example of sacrifice culminating with his crucifixion on the cross. This symbol has inspired billions to come to and believe in the Christian religion.

It is interesting that each age is a schooling period to teach humanity an understanding and correct use of the key word. So it was with the principle of sacrifice. At first humanity had little understanding of it, save a few. The few went forth and sacrificed themselves in order that love and light may increase in the earth.

The many, however, sacrificed to an outer god. That god was merely a man or individuals giving commands in the name of God so sacrifice was directed toward their personal gain.

For 2000 years the vast majority of humanity sacrificed for the outer gods. And what was achieved? The sacrifice itself achieved nothing outwardly except to enrich the pockets of the pretenders. There was an inward benefit however.

When the sacrificer gives in sincerity, with pure intent, even though his gift is misused, the heart of the giver is strengthened. This prepares him to truly give when the day of real opportunity comes.

In the movie “Valkyrie” a small band of men and their wives gave true sacrifice, not to a god without, but to destroy such a god. Some have called their efforts a failure because they did not stop the great antichrist, but in the wider picture they set an inspiring example of what true sacrifice was meant to be. The effect was subtle and meaningful. Their example has caused many to contemplate the virtue of the few standing up to the many trapped in illusion.

This action and others like it in history are the true fruits of sacrifice that we do not want to discard as we sort through that which we should keep dear to our hearts around this principle as we enter into a new age.

The key word for the coming age is service. True sacrifice of the past has paved the way for true service and the fruits thereof.

Sacrifice which bears fruit leads to service, and is the true lesson left to us by Christ and most appropriate to reflect upon this Christmas season.

A Place to Lay His Head

“And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” (Matt 8:20)
The son of man who is also the Son of God looked out upon the world on Christmas day and thought deeply within himself…

“They sing hymns and carols in my honor, they give gifts in memory of me, they pray to the Most High in my name, they say they want me to reveal myself again, but do they really?

“Even after 2000 years is there yet a place for me to lay my head?

“Yes, there is a humble soul, a point of light scattered here and there across the planet and through the ages I have spoken peace to their hearts and they know I am with them.

“My call for things greater has been echoing across the cycles of time, for did I not say: ‘Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them’?

“Where are the two or three? The twelve and twenty-four? The 12,000 and the 144,000? Where is the gathering needed for a place to lay my head?

“Where are even the two who hear the voice of the soul as one and see eye to eye? Verily I say two must see eye to eye and rest in the great peace of God before the twelve and twenty-four become one.

“Yes, two or three come together now and then, but then soon part and see with multiple eyes, eyes that share not my sight and see not that which I see that brings unspeakable joy. They are so close — yet so far — they touch the body, yet the many feel not the living heart of God together.”

The Master arose and turned his head away from the world toward the darkness of space. I could not see his face, but I thought I felt his heart and I wept. I was not strong enough to hold back my tears. I wondered within myself. Was I picking up the feelings and thoughts of this great being? If I could see his face which was turned away, would I see the same tears that I shed?

I blinked my blurry eyes trying to focus and the son of man who is the Son of God was gone but within my heart a heavenly fire did burn and these words of peace did come:

“My son, rejoice, even in the divine sorrow you feel with me, for without this we could not have the fullness of joy that comes when the many become one. This coming together is decreed before the foundations of the earth was laid and it will happen. Look to the future and feel the joy as you walk in the valley of separated souls. The union of souls will happen and it will be soon if each person tuned to my heart fulfills his role.

“Then I will have a place to lay my head and we will be home together in the house of my Father.”

Finding the True Progressives

Several days ago I asked this question;
who you think could be an agent for the Brotherhood of Light?

The group responded with some interesting observations.

Several mentioned Ron Paul. Even though I disagree with him about a third of the time I strongly agree with him on the basic principles of freedom and the importance of moving our country back to economic common sense. He has indeed been an agent that has helped move some common sense to the forefront. I would guess he is a second degree initiate.

I get an even better vibe from his son Rand Paul; however, I haven’t taken in enough about him to have a fully informed opinion. It will be interesting to see the quality of work he does.

I also get a pretty good vibe from the new House Majority Leader, John Boehner. Now some would surmise that he couldn’t possibly be a second degree initiate because he cries at the drop of a hat, as does Glenn Beck, but yielding to strong emotional feeling does not mean that one does not have reasonable mastery over the emotions.

Mastery over the emotions is demonstrated by the decisions we make more than how strongly our emotional body feels. Their are many people who rarely cry who have not mastered their emotions.

As example let us look at an emotional situation that could occur for a politician.

The politician has an opportunity to earmark some money that will build a homeless shelter. He really wants to help the homeless and knows that such an earmark will bring him a lot of praise through the media and maybe get him invited to parties at Washington.

On the other hand, he uses his reason and determines that much more spending could bankrupt the country and make us all homeless.

Even though he personally helps lots of homeless, and seeing them makes him weep, his mind prevails over emotion and he doesn’t take the earmark.

It is easy to come up with spending projects that pull on the heartstrings and takes the government’s money, but just as families are limited so is the larger family called government.

It would be nice if we could supply warm milk to all the stray cats in the town, but would it make sense to borrow money you cannot pay back to accomplish this deed? Of course not.

For anyone who wants to be in the light common sense must prevail for following emotion not tempered by reason always leads to disaster.

To judge emotional people like John Boehner or Glenn Beck we must give more weight to their actual decisions than to their surface feelings. Can they be swimming in a sea of emotion and at the same time see the light clearly enough to make decisions based on reason and common sense? That is the key.

A politician I definitely see working for the Brotherhood of Light is Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu . His decisions are centered on the plane of the mind tempered by intense feeling. I think he will accomplish quite a bit before his life is through.

Someone mentioned that they haven’t seen an enlightened Democrat since Robert Kennedy. I agree that JFK and RFK were indeed agents on the side of light and the likes of these men are missing among the Democrats today. Most of them are working to restrict freedom rather than to expand it. This is a cycle they are going through but Democrat initiates will appear when the cycle changes. There is a liberal president of Brazil that is a present possibility though.

On the present conservative realm we have these possibilities: Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter & Bobby Jindal.
