The Visible Christ

The Visible Christ

An Alice A. Bailey reader asks whether the Second Coming would merely be Christ working on all levels but the physical.

Many students of metaphysics eagerly accept the idea of the Christ consciousness which is available to us all but have difficulty in accepting the possibility that the actual entity who is the Christ will soon make an appearance in the flesh. Now the member has read Alice A. Bailey and realizes that such an individualized entity does exist, but feels that perhaps he will only work with humanity from the subtle planes.

Actually, if this were the promised second coming then nothing would change for he has been working with humanity in all planes but the physical for the past 2000 years.

The reappearance of the Christ will not be just a continuation of his work as is but a continuation of his work with changes. In other words, the principle of Becoming is involved here.

Let me quote several sections of Djwhal Khul’s writings through Alice A. Bailey to illustrate the point. The following quotes are all from The Reappearance of the Christ

“Today, humanity stands at a peculiar and unique middle point, between an unhappy past and a future which is full of promise if the reappearance of the Christ is recognised and preparation for His coming is undertaken. The present is full of promise and also full of difficulty; in the hands of human beings today and in the immediate present, lies the destiny of the world and-if it may be reverently said-the immediate activity of the Christ. The agony of the war, and the distress of the entire human family led Christ, in the year 1945, to come to a great decision – a decision which found expression in two most important statements. He announced to the assembled spiritual Hierarchy and to all His servants and disciples on Earth that HE HAD DECIDED TO EMERGE AGAIN INTO PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH HUMANITY, if they would bring about the initial stages of establishing right human relations; secondly, He gave to the world (for the use of the “man in the street”) one of the oldest prayers ever known, (The great Invocation). Reappearance of the Christ Pg 30

“The consequent point of tension is now controlling the affairs of the spiritual Hierarchy and its many groups of workers. The “point of decision,” as it is called in all hierarchical circles, was reached during the period between the Full Moon of June, 1936, and the Full Moon of June, 1945. The point of decision covered, therefore, nine years (a relatively brief time); it resulted in the decision arrived at by the Christ to re-appear OR RETURN TO VISIBLE PRESENCE ON EARTH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, and considerably earlier than had been planned.

“This decision was necessarily made in consultation with the Lord of the World, the “Ancient of Days” of The Old Testament, and the “One in Whom we live and move and have our being” of The New Testament. He is the Custodian of the Will of God. It was also made with the full understanding and cooperation of the Masters and the senior initiates. This was inevitably so, because Their participation and help were imperative. They also necessarily had to be with Him in thought, and cooperating mentally, because His reappearance connotes a great hierarchical approach to humanity and a great spiritual event.”

Reappearance of the Christ, Pg 69

“UNDER THE DIVINE WILL, HE HAD TO REAPPEAR ON EARTH IN VISIBLE PRESENCE. He had to preside over the materialization of the Kingdom of God on Earth, and He had to re-institute the Mysteries of Initiation in such a form that they would prove the basis of the new world religion. Above all, He had to reveal the nature of the Will of God.” Reappearance of the Christ, Pg 71

“His arriving at the conclusion that He must have more trained and dedicated workers and agents than at that time was possible, or has proved possible since. Hence the gathering out and the training of the New Group of World Servers. When there are enough of these servers and enlightened workers, He will come and nothing can arrest His approach.” Reappearance of the Christ, Pg 100

“The knowledge that He is ready and anxious publicly to appear to His loved Humanity only adds to the sense of general frustration, and another very vital question arises: For what period of time must we endure, struggle and fight? The reply comes with clarity: He will come unfailingly when a measure of peace has been restored, when the principle of sharing is at least in process of controlling economic affairs, and when churches and political groups have begun to clean house. Then He can and will come; then the Kingdom of God will be publicly recognised and will no longer be a thing of dreams and of wishful thinking and orthodox hope.” Reappearance of the Christ, Pg 163

JJ: Here we are told by a close physical and spiritual associate of the Christ that in 1945 (after the defeat of Hitler) he decided to return (or reappear) to the people of the planet in “visible” manifestation. This tells us that his contact with humanity will definitely go beyond mental and astral levels down to the physical. Even though he has decided to appear in such a manner that he can have physical and visible contact with humanity this still leaves us several different possibilities as to how he will appear. This is a great mystery to many for he has not spelled it out to disciples.

Here are the possibilities:

(1) He could be born as a babe again and go through the normal process of development.

(2) He could be a “walk-in’ and trade places with a prepared disciple.

(3) He could overshadow a disciple and share a body as he did with Jesus.

(4) He could return in his current physical body.

(5) He could create a special vehicle (body) of manifestation which is in the East called a mayavirupa.

It has been revealed that there will be an overshadowing, but the plan beyond this is not yet fully revealed.

The reader is right that his physical presence could create many problems for him, and this prospect does indeed create a point of tension within his own psyche to which it is difficult for us to comprehend.

It is doubtful that he will announce himself as the Christ, just as he did not 2000 years ago. Instead his works and the power of his words, plus the Holy Spirit will bear witness to those who are ready.

The Three Preparations

The Three Preparations

The Question:

“When the student is ready the teacher (or Master) will appear.”

What are the three signs that tell us that the student is ready?

We received some great comments on this. That said I will give what I consider the three most important (but far from all) keys.

In considering what the teacher or master may be looking for in students we might ask ourselves what we would be looking for if one of us were a teacher for an organization which was trying to accomplish a great purpose.

In the early Sixties Kennedy presented to the United States the most fantastic goal ever given to a nation in recorded history – to send a man to the moon and bring him back alive before the end of the decade.

Let us just supposed you did live then and you were one with great knowledge commissioned by Kennedy to find the right students and teach them the knowledge necessary to help complete the goal.

What would you look for? Do you think you would be looking for people who did not believe we could go to the moon with that short time period? No of course not.

So, we may be able to word the first criteria as follows:

(1) The student must be open to the plan no matter how fantastic it sounds and have a belief that it can be accomplished.

To apply this to the seeking student of light today we might say this.

The student must seek out and find the next step in the plan of God as it is seen through the eyes of the Brotherhood of Light. He needs to understand that the Plan is truly possible and believe and endorse it with every part of his being.

  1. Now you’ve found a large number of people who are open minded and really believe we can go to the moon. You discover there are many more volunteers than you need. What is the second criteria of selection you use?

(2) You now look for people who have prepared themselves through strenuous effort to attain the knowledge and ability to appreciate and incorporate those sometimes difficult-to-understand-and-apply principles to get the job done.

To apply this to the seeking student of light today we might say this: Being enthused and believing is not enough. You must develop your talents and abilities so you can be useful to the work of the Masters.

Enthused and believing people with no talent could not have taken us to the moon. What makes us think we can believe only and be lazy in our personal development and then help accomplish an even greater feat than going to the moon?

So now you have found a number of people who are all for going to the moon – they believe it is possible and they also seem to have great talent. Are you ready to choose your students?

Not quite. There is one more important factor to look for. You tell yourself that you have applicants who are believing and talented, but the question now is will they do anything?

If you teach them what you know will they just say yes yes and then go on to the next theory and wind up in an eternal quest for ultimate truth while being of little use to God or man, or will they take what you teach and do all the grunt work necessary to make sure our man gets to the moon?

This brings us to number three:

(3) Are they willing to do the hard labor and overtime necessary to get the job done?

To apply this to the seeking student of light today we might say this.

Are they willing to be servants and actually do the work necessary to manifest the next stage in the divine plan?

If you visit any large office or production plant you will discover that there are many people who think they are working hard and efficiently who are doing neither. Then there are a small handful who are very hard and effective workers on whom the boss and fellow workers depend.

Even so, the Teachers do not look for one who performs the appearance of work, but a student that one can truly depend on who will be a great asset to accomplishing the goal.

Incorporating these three principles in our lives will bring us many steps closer to recognition by those who watch.

In the current topic we have been discussing methods of contact with the Masters or Teachers. We covered the types of visible contacts and now we approach the invisible.

Question: What are the methods of contact used by the teachers and higher lives wherein they remain invisible to the receiver? How do these methods work and why are they used in place of physical contact?

I was asked about the kingdom of God that was supposed to manifest as prophesied by Daniel the prophet. Will we play a part?

To bring down the powers of Godliness into the physical realm is an act that can only be accomplished through the Spirit of God. It’s not like an individual or group can just get together and demand that the powers of Godliness become manifest. The Dark Brothers attempt to make commands and control lower lives in able to impress those in darkness with their powers. Divine power only becomes manifest when the individual or group puts themselves in alignment with the voice of the Spirit and the Purpose of God. When this happens then revelation will be received which will outline the coming manifestations of the Plan which are shortly to appear on the earth.

The Molecular Relationship is one such revelation that fits within the purpose of the Plan of Light and your will or mine has nothing to do with it’s activation. Our job is merely to follow the whisperings of the inner voice and create the necessary structure as habitation for divine life.

The old orders of controlling the souls of mankind through glamour, illusion and force will be destroyed as Daniel predicted and replaced by higher orders that link heaven and earth and bring greater freedom to the children of men.

This will require our cooperation and much work on the physical plane for not even God can set up a kingdom among us if we refuse it. The Dark Brothers may attempt to force people into their dominions, but the workers of light only work with free will. Our responsibility is to use that free will to accept or reject the coming manifestations of Purpose.

Higher Lives

Higher Lives

The current discussion is designed to lead to a further understanding of the intuition as a means for the discovery of truth. To fully understand it we not only need to know what it is not, but we also need an understanding of the following triangle of revelation.

(1) Revelation – The intuition

(2) Direction – The Still Small Voice.

(3) Instruction – Contact with higher lives.

Even though these are all three sources of revelation they all have differing key words

The key word for the intuition is revelation because the development of this ability opens the door to formless worlds. The first soul contact comes long before the development of the intuition. Soul contact opens the door to all higher contacts and the intuition opens still another door to even higher levels.

Intuition could therefore be called the revelation of that which lies behind knowledge or the revelation of principles.

The Still Small Voice is the revelation of “Direction.” It is fortunate for humanity that the use of this requires no great spiritual evolution. The only real requirement is that a seeker seeks that which he understands as the guidance of God. He must do with sincerity of heart and pure intent.

Even this has several degrees of contract. The voice of the soul has to penetrate through numerous layers resistance and darkness before it registers on the brain. For the average person it may work out as a gut instinct as to the direction he must take but to one who has firm soul contact it will be definitely recognized as a voice, a still soundless voice that is eventually understood with clarity making his direction sure.

Number three which is contact with Higher Lives is for a different purpose which is the Revelation of instruction.

Notice that we say “higher lives” here? Not all invisible contacts are higher lives and the biggest mistake of the beginner is to assume that all communications from the unseen world is from higher intelligence.

More than 90% of proclaimed higher contacts are either astral entities with very limited knowledge, often using thoughtforms, from the persons imagination and subconscious, or both. What do I mean by both? This means that some astral entities can tap into the receiver’s own astral body and pick up his memories and subconscious thoughts. This enables the deceptive entity to give a very acceptable and impressive revelation to the seeker.

Most channeled messages either come from the subconscious or from astral entities using the receivers own thoughts and feelings as a basis for what will be received.

When a person with invisible contacts always seems to be receiving what he wants to hear you may take this as a sign that the source is not a higher life or a Master.

The Higher Lives contact us for instruction and such instruction concerns what is needed rather than what is desired.

Outside of our higher self which higher lives work with humanity?

There are two main divisions.

(1) Highly evolved entities that have passed beyond physical existence and seek to help us in our evolution. The Bible calls these beings “the spirits of just men made perfect.” In the east they are called Nirmanakayas.

These Nirmanakayas are generally teachers to the Masters but will on occasion assist and instruct some of the teachers of the race. The Buddha is currently in this position.

(2) The Masters, sometimes called the Spiritual Hierarchy. These beings usually live in physical bodies here on the earth and have overcome some of the limitations of death. From our angle of vision they have it made, but from theirs the adventure is just beginning and they see unlimited vistas of progress and “Becoming” ahead for them.

Contact with the Masters occurs in numerous ways but falls into two general categories: (1) The visible and (2) the invisible.

(1) The Visible

(a) The most impressive of this type of contact is a visitation in a physical body where you meet face to face and can shake hands if you wish. The main reason behind this type of contact lies with the type of mission the disciple has. If he needs to be energized by what seems to be the ultimate conviction, then he may be visited. This may turn one who may otherwise drag his feet into a zealot for the mission at stake. On the other hand, there is a danger of acquiring too much spiritual pride that may lead to his downfall.

In the past many disciples who have been visited lost some of their reverence for their teacher because of familiarity and in a belief that they have outgrown him fell into the illusion that they were beyond instruction and thus failed in their missions.

(b) The projection of a thoughtform. Here a thoughtform made of refined substance is created and the Master appears in a vision to the student and gives instruction.

(c) The Master contacts the student in dreams or in the astral while asleep.

(2) The invisible.

As the human race becomes increasingly mental and relies more on inner knowing and less on signs and phenomenon the invisible contacts are increasingly used.

For instance, in this age H P Blavatsky used many signs and miracles to convince her followers and some were not convinced until they met a Master and some of them did have this experience in the flesh. Blavatsky spent some time in direct physical contact with the Masters.

On the other hand, Alice A Bailey, who had a higher revelation, only physically saw her master once or twice and none of her followers had this experience. The only sign or miracle that seemed to follow her around were the words she transmitted and as it turns out this may be the greatest evidence of all that the Masters exist.

We’ll end this post with a question

It is written

“When the student is ready the teacher (or Master) will appear.”

What are the three signs that tell us that the student is ready?

Understanding Intuition

Understanding Intuition

Here are the seed thoughts presented so far.

“As I focus my attention on the light of the soul I see a greater light still.”

“I am the light of the world.”

“I am the dominating good in the hands of God.”

I’ve had several new thoughts come on these statements since we have been discussing them. There is no end to our learning.

What I would like you to do is continue to think about these seed thoughts and whenever you receive something you find interesting post it for us.

Meanwhile, let us look at the last question:

“What is intuition from an esoteric point of view? What is the difference between instinct, emotional impulse, psychic impression, imagination, the still small voice and intuition? Is soul contact essential before the power of intuition comes into play?”

Let me clarify the term, “emotional impulse.”

Many people think they are getting inspiration or intuitive thoughts when they are really getting stored and associated memory filtered through their emotional nature. These emotional impulses are often seen as truth right from the mind of God whereas it is usually twisted reasoning in harmony with what the subject desires to be true.

The Mormon, the Catholic, the Protestant and all other believers generally receive emotional impulses that God supports their doctrine and leaders. Those who burned the lights at the stake during the Middle Ages did so under the emotional impulse that they were right.

The different methods of formulating truth could be placed under two categories and expanded somewhat

PERSONALITY METHODS – Not always reliable.

(1) Instinct

(2) Emotional Impulse

(3) Imagination

(4) Logical deduction – reasoning.

(5) Mindless acceptance of authority or group thought.

(6) Common dreams

(7) Visions of thoughtforms

REVELATORY – Unlimited and reliable

(1) Intuition

(2) Still Small Voice

(3) Contact with the Masters

(a) Direct Contact

(b) Direct Impression

(c) True Vision or Dream Messages

(4) Higher Mind

(5) Identification

(6) Oneness Principle

Let us first of all talk about number one in both categories – instinct and intuition. Instinct is the most reliable impulses that come to those who do not have conscious soul contact, but because it is filtered through emotional impulse, imagination and some reasoning it is often highly distorted by the time the personality applies it.

We could define instinct as reliable computer programs that have been placed by the Creator into our vehicles for the purpose of insuring our survival. These little programs are always correct in their original context and worked well for primitive humanity, but in more complex situations they are often misleading. For instance a calculator which can only add 2+2=4 is always correct, but not always useful. If you need to add 4+4 to equal 8 then you must disregard the former truth. 2+2=4 is still true, but just not useful.

The Intuition.

Whereas instinct impresses important facts upon the mind of the receiver, intuition impresses the principles behind the facts.

He who wields instinct knows.

He who masters intuition knows, and knows that he knows and knows why he knows.

When esoteric writers such as Alice A. Bailey use the word intuition they are really talking about a concept for which there is not an appropriate word in the English language. The typical dictionary definition reads something like this: “A sense of something not evident or deducible; an impression.”

This definition includes what we here are calling the intuition, but also instinct, emotional impulse, and imagination. The ancient wisdom uses this word in a more exact way and is only used in reference to vision that is seen through the eyes of the soul.

The problem with understanding intuition is that a full realization of it requires a degree of soul contact. Therefore, if the principle is explained to one who does not have this contact, this person will not comprehend it. The understanding is beyond his ring-pass-not.

Key thoughts for understanding the intuition are

Contemplation

Point of tension

Principles

Flashing forth

One of the problems with teaching the ancient wisdom to a varied audience is that there will only be a few who can relate or understand concepts like the Spiritual Triad, formless worlds, spiritual will vs. regular will and so on.

What we will attempt to do in this class is to make the complex simple, for in reality, when the complex is understood it can often be explained in simple terms.

The general direction here is to present one major leap in consciousness which we call “soul contact.” While it is technically true that there are higher contacts than this it is also true that, for humanity, soul contact opens a door that must be swung ajar before any higher contact can be made. In other words, the door to the soul must be open before any of the other higher doors can come into play. Therefore, in looking at the higher worlds, from a universal angle, all higher contacts come through the soul.

Technically, the soul is represented by that point of invisible interplay between spirit and matter which is neither spirit or matter, neither form nor formless. Physically it is represented by that point where land, water and air meet which is neither wet nor dry, the magical point of the soul, the place where white magic of the Christ consciousness is wrought.

Soul contact is the contact with higher realms made by a disciple through he agency of soul energy. If you want to go to the archives and do a search for soul contact you may find quite a bit more information on it. Nevertheless, this is an important point to cover periodically because soul contact by aspiring disciples is perhaps the most needed asset for servers as we enter the coming age of peace.

Also, when I do repeat myself on a subject like this I attempt to give a little different slant that will perhaps shed new light to seasoned readers.

Understanding soul contact is also amplified by the fact that soul is generically applied to the astral body, the Spiritual Triad, the Monad, the Universal Presence etc. I sometimes myself use the word “soul” when referring to the “Higher Self” or Monad but even this fits because higher parts of ourselves must be contacted through the door of soul or soul contact.

Probably the most misunderstood higher contact made through the soul is the intuition. Part of the reason for this is that there are many counterfeits for this principle. Another reason is that only a few aspiring disciples use intuition and that which has not been experienced will indeed be difficult to understand.

First of all, let us group what the intuition is not. Just as in my book, The Immortal, we learned what we are by eliminating what we are not it will help us to understand the intuition by understanding what it is not.

Intuition is not:

Instinct

Emotional Impulse

Imagination

Logical deduction – reasoning.

Psychic reception

Now keep in mind that we are not saying that these tools are not useful for they all can be in their place. What we are saying is that they are not intuition.

Perhaps the most common thing to be mistaken in this group for the intuition is psychic reception. Some psychic impression is accurate and some is not, but even if it is accurate this reception works through different principles than does intuition. Intuition operates through the language of principles and psychic impression operates through the transference of information or data.

The closest the average person comes to approaching the intuition is in use of ideas. We could call intuition a higher idea stimulated by soul contact and a regular idea a “lower idea.”

What is the difference?

A lower idea is formed through the association of differing pieces of data, pictures, pieces of evidence, positions of thinking etc. It is like putting a picture together and having only one piece left. If you look at the whole picture you can guess fairly accurately (with no soul contact involved) what the final piece (or the final picture) will look like,

This is how we get standard ideas. We scramble all the evidence before us and that missing piece gives us an idea to play with.

So what would the intuition or a higher idea be then?

The intuition uses all the faculties of the lower self including lower ideas but takes them further. He who uses intuition will make full use of his mind and find the missing piece to not just picture number one, but also picture number two and three. Whereas the average person will just see pictures and lower ideas the intuitive person asks questions and attempt to figure out how one picture relates to another. Even though there is no physical evidence of a fourth picture he will question as to whether a fourth picture exists, and if it does exist what it will look like. If the three pictures are related the phantom fourth picture will also be related and if it is related then the contemplation of the three pictures may give evidence of what the fourth will look like and the purpose behind all of the pictures.

The intuitive person thus has all three pictures before him in his mind and contemplates on empty space in search of the fourth. As he then empties his mind (and becomes absent-minded) he taps info the world of principles and intuition and suddenly in an unexpected moment, a holy instant, the fourth picture will appear before him. He not only understands this fourth picture, but he sees a greater picture (made from the four) and can understand in a “flash” how the four pictures create a greater fifth picture.

When the intuition works properly the seeker can often write a book on the one holy instant of downloading that came into the physical brain.

In ancient times initiates were often given dangerous tests to force a point of tension to stimulate the intuition of the disciple. Partially because of the complexity of the modern world such tests are not necessary, for in the day to day world of complex situations and living, it is usually possible to create our own points of tension making a trek to a far away pyramid unnecessary.

Seed thoughts for understanding the intuition are

Contemplation

Point of tension

Principles

Flashing forth

First contemplate the answer to a question and come up with every possible solution that is available to the lower mind. Now find that question that your mind cannot answer but must be answered.

Second, create a point of tension with the realization that you MUST find the answer. Focus all your attention possible on the desire and will for the answer. The combination of desire, will and pure intention creates a point of tension that opens the door of the soul.

As the door of the soul opens seek to understand the principle that will lead to your answer and that lies behind the answer.

As you pour your attention on the universe of principles and hold it there, the time will come that you will receive a “flashing forth” or a holy instant of revelation and suddenly you will see and understand that which was previously unseen and not understood.

Intuition is ALWAYS accompanied by understanding. He who receives information but does not understand it receives it by some other way.

There are three related methods of revelation through the soul which are:

(1) The intuition

(2) The Still Small Voice.

(3) Contact with higher lives – The Masters on up.

There are three seed (or key) words that go with these:

(1) Revelation – The intuition

(2) Direction – The Still Small Voice.

(3) Instruction – Contact with higher lives.

These are three pertinent words to contemplate as understanding is sought.

The Light of the World

The Light of the World

I noticed we are still getting comments on the first seed thought. This is good and illustrates the value of sustained reflection upon a thought. A day or so may not be enough to do a seed thought justice, but it serves our learning purposes.

Today’s Seed Thought:

“I am the light of the world.”

What comes to you as you think on this my friends?

Let’s see what questions can we ask here. We’ve already defined light so that is not necessary.

Let’s look at the first two words which are “I am.”

Should they be written as I AM or perhaps Jesus was even thinking of I AM BECOMING? Was Jesus referring to the God presence which is within us all?

When he told us to be one with him as he is one with his Father was this not an invitation for us to also become lights to the world?

Is it not interesting that he not only declared himself to be the light of the world but also said to his disciples: “Ye are the light of the world.” Mat 5:14

What does he mean by world? The word comes from KOSMOS which implies the current system or order of things.

How else can we translate thus verse:

Here is a possibility:

“That which is BECOMING within me reveals light and truth within the current order or the world.”

If you are a light to the world and light is produced by contrast would this not indicate that you should live a life that appears in sharp contrast to average Joe six pack?

If a person’s greatest pleasure in life comes from suffering then suffering would become the object of his personal desire.

In my experience with the Christ consciousness I have found no pain or suffering there, but only indescribable joy.

The seed thought under consideration:

“I am the light of the world.”

The few comments on the current seed thought have illustrated the value of the principle for they have indeed revealed light on the words.

When you get into seed thoughts you will generally have the sense that you have not yet uncovered all there is to be revealed. You can have a seed thought in the back of your mind for 20 years and then one day you will be driving down the road thinking of nothing in particular when a flash of inspiration will come to you about the thought. Sometimes when this happens you will feel like slapping yourself on the side of the head and say” “why didn’t I see this earlier?”

So, if it seems as if you’ve tried contemplating a seed thought and nothing much has happened do not give up. Continue with the process and soon impressions will come.

Remember that when you plant a seed and nourish it, nothing much happens at first. For a period of time it just sits there in silent darkness with no apparent results. But as long as the nutrition is sustained the time shortly comes that life springs forth and the seed sprouts forth its leafs through the barriers of dark and earth into the light of day.

Seed Though #3

“I am the dominating good in the hands of God.”

This principle of discovery comes in handy here:

“Take that belief which is embraced by the world (or the obvious view) and look in the opposite direction. In this opposite direction much truth lies hidden.”

One must always look in the opposite direction than seems obvious. If there is any flaw in the teaching much will be revealed.

Another thing the student can do to milk truth out of seed thoughts is to free associate and then link the items and see what truth comes forth. Use whatever questions that are helpful in the process.

Let us start with the first word which is “I.”

I – male/female – human being – part of the human race – one with the human race – on this planet – on many planets – throughout the universe.

Second word “am.”

Am – AM – I AM – I AM BECOMING – AM – Life – presence – God presence – omni presence.

Dominating – stronger of two forces – Dominating what? -… Good – that which evolves to higher ground – order – happiness – joy – Light – Love… Evil – that which takes us to retrogression – disorder – misery – darkness – hate – grievance.

Dominating Good – In higher order is strength; disorder is chaos and weakness in the long run.

Hands of God – that which works out the Plan of God.

Now continue to go through this process in your own mind and tell us some of the things you come up with when you think of:

“I am the dominating good in the hands of God.”

Every religion has their inspired teachings, but every time, without exception in the history of the world, that those teachings are taken too literally disappointment always follows. As was pointed out, the literal Jews really missed the mark in predicting the coming of Christ.

Joseph Smith predicted the gathering in Missouri and the coming of Christ to the temple there within a generation. This did not occur even though the brotherhood gave it good chance at the time the prophecy was made.

No prophet in history has ever made clearly understandable predictions of the future that came 100% literally true. Not even Jesus. For each prophecy he made there are a dozen interpretations. To find the truth one must throw out all of what the scriptures call “the traditions of man,” become as a little child and run all teachings by the soul with an open mind.

Today’s seed thought:

“I am the dominating good in the hands of God.”

We’ve basically covered all the methods of expanding a seed thought except for two.

The first is the examining the actual sounds within the words of the seed thought, but this is a vast subject and will not be covered at this time.

The final principle in finding truth in seed thoughts is actually the next principle of discovery which is:

Understand and develop the principle of intuition through which quantums of truth can be downloaded into your mind and understood by the heart.

Question. What is intuition from an esoteric point of view? What is the difference between instinct, emotional impulse, psychic impression, imagination, the still small voice and intuition? Is soul contact essential before the power of intuition comes into play?

That Which Reveals

That Which Reveals

Question:

What is light anyway and how does it reveal?

Esoterically “light is that which reveals.”

Light can exist in darkness and not reveal as in the statement of John about “the light which shineth in the darkness and the darkness comprehendeth it not.”

For a physical correspondence of this just look up at the night sky. If we eliminate the stars what are we looking at? We are looking at billions and billions of square miles of intense light from the sun, yet what do we see?

Blackness.

Why do we see blackness?

Because the light of the Sun is shining in the darkness and those in the darkness (us) do not comprehend (see) the light.

The interesting thing is that even though we do not see it, the light is still there passing as intense wavelengths through the vacuum of space.

So when the light shines in the darkness they who are in darkness do not see the light. So when is the light seen?

The light is comprehended when the Light shines ON the darkness.

When light falls on a form in darkness contrast is thus produced and the light is then comprehended.

What is the source of the greater light?

There are three lights within the range of the consciousness of man:

(1) The light of matter

(2) the light of the soul

(3) The light of the monad, or our highest spiritual essence, which is the originating power of our ability to decide.

These three lights produce vision when shining ON darkness or the higher light shining on the lower light.

As the moon reflects the light of the sun it becomes visible and comes into view of the seer.

Correspondingly, when we allow our soul to reflect the light of the Spirit toward our inner eyes then we see truth.

When we become one with the soul then our attention is shifted toward the greater light of the monad and when this shift is made the soul becomes as darkness and higher vision is obtained when the greater light shines ON the light of the soul.

Light can become darkness and that which was darkness can become light and the interplay of the two produces vision.

The true Seer can by a shifting of his attention have the power to see in the higher as well as the lower worlds.

Most of us are stuck with seeing only in this world, but soul contact is the key that opens the door to all higher vision.

The lowest correspondent of the two higher lights is night and day as commonly understood. This throws light of the phrase” “the dark night of the soul.”

To one who has his attention centered on physical light the light of the soul is as night and does not reveal. But later the soul reveals its great light as the downward focused eyes are lifted. Then later as the greater light is seen the soul has a second dark night, but this time the dark is a contrast that reveals joy.

Now let us move to another seed thought. In doing this I realize that some teachers recommend spending a month on one thought but for teaching purposes we must move onward. You may find though that as you think on the past thought now and again you may, at an unexpected moment, receive a new flash of inspiration.

New Seed Thought:

“I am the light of the world.”

What comes to you as you think on this my friends?

Question: Do you have any problems with Lao Tzu’s statements about one, two and three?

Overall Lao Tzu statements about the one and the many are harmonious with my thinking. Take this quote for instance:

“TAO produces Unity;

Unity produces Duality;

Duality produces Triplicity;

In Triplicity all things have life, and from it they proceed.”

Question: What did HPB actually say in regard to one and two and what was your interpretation of her words?

She said quite a few things. If you have a specific quote I’ll be happy to quote on it, but do not have time to expound on such a broad topic.

Here are several interesting things Blavatsky said about the one life, creation etc.

“It is the ONE LIFE, eternal, invisible, yet Omnipresent, without beginning or end, yet periodical in its regular manifestations, between which periods reigns the dark mystery of non-Being; unconscious, yet absolute Consciousness; unrealisable, yet the one self-existing reality; truly, ‘a chaos to the sense, a Kosmos to the reason.’ Its one absolute attribute, which is ITSELF, eternal, ceaseless Motion, is called in esoteric parlance the ‘Great Breath,’* which is the perpetual motion of the universe, in the sense of limitless, ever-present SPACE. That which is motionless cannot be Divine. But then there is nothing in fact and reality absolutely motionless within the universal soul.” Secret Doctrine, Vol 1, Pg 2

“For, ‘just as a human being is composed of seven principles, differentiated matter in the Solar System exists in seven different conditions’. So does Fohat.* He is One and Seven, and on the Cosmic plane is behind all such manifestations as light, heat, sound, adhesion, etc., etc., and is the ‘spirit’ of ELECTRICITY, which is the LIFE of the Universe. As an abstraction, we call it the ONE LIFE; as an objective and evident Reality, we speak of a septenary scale of manifestation, which begins at the upper rung with the One Unknowable CAUSALITY, and ends as Omnipresent Mind and Life immanent in every atom of Matter. Thus, while science speaks of its evolution through brute matter, blind force, and senseless motion, the Occultists point to intelligent LAW and sentient LIFE, and add that Fohat is the guiding Spirit of all this.” Secret Doctrine, Vol 1, Pg 139

“The ONE LIFE is closely related to the one law which governs the World of Being — KARMA. Exoterically, this is simply and literally ‘action,’ or rather an ‘effect-producing cause.’ Esoterically it is quite a different thing in its far-fetching moral effects.” Secret Doctrine, Vol 1, Pg 634

“Becoming through periodical manifestation a manifold Universe or a multiple personality, that Unity would cease to be one. Locke’s idea that ‘pure Space is capable of neither resistance nor Motion’ — is incorrect. Space is neither a ‘limitless void,’ nor a ‘conditioned fulness,’ but both: being, on the plane of absolute abstraction, the ever-incognisable Deity, which is void only to finite minds…” Secret Doctrine, Vol 1, Pg 8

The Questioning Attitude

The Questioning Attitude

A reader comments that everyone asks questions

I have not found this to be true from my experience. Whenever I have been in any class either as a teacher or student there have been two or three asking questions and the rest relatively silent. Whenever I have discussed philosophy with others I have found that few have questions about what they have learned.

All people do ask some questions but they are usually related to the assignment at hand making the question part of following orders to learn rather than original thought.

Scholars and researches ask questions in their line of work but most of them do not question their authorities. They usually ask questions to merely reinforce their belief system.

Disciples and aspiring disciples are found in all fields of human endeavor. If you find one asking questions requiring independent thought then there is evidence that the person is on the path.

The aspiring disciple not only asks more questions, but asks a different kind of question than does the average person.

Her are some examples:

Authoritative Teacher: The sun is the hottest orb in the solar system.

Average student: No question. He just accepted what he has been told.

Above average student: How hot is it?

Aspiring disciple: How can you prove it is the hottest? Do you know the temperature at Jupiter’s core?

Disciple: What makes you so sure the sun is hot – after all microwave energy in an appliance is not hot until it reaches its destination.

Authoritative Teacher: A lone gunman killed JFK

Average student: No question. He just accepted what he has been told.

Above average student: What about the reports of a conspiracy?

Aspiring disciple: What about the magic bullet theory? How do you explain that?

Disciple: Let me ask some questions about the probably root cause of the assassination. I have a question related to his mob connections…

Authoritative Teacher: The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. Nothing can go faster than this.

Average student: No question. He just accepted what he has been told.

Above average student: Isn’t the exact speed of light 186,232 miles per second?

Aspiring disciple: What about the case of a galaxy traveling 120,000 miles per second away from the earth and then another galaxy traveling 120,000 miles per second away from the earth in the opposite direction? Wouldn’t this mean that they are traveling 240,00 miles per second away from each other relative to the earth? Is not this faster than light?

Disciple: Not too long ago they thought we could not travel faster than sound. Now there seems to be a correspondence between light and sound, in other words light is sound vibrating at a faster rate. Would this not mean that the light barrier could also be surpassed?

Authoritative Teacher: The Stigmata is a sign from God

Average student: No question. He just accepted what he has been told.

Above average student: What causes the Stigmata?

Aspiring disciple: What makes you think it is a sign from God? Is it not possible that there is a natural cause?

Disciple: Isn’t it possible that this is a sign of a person’s intense belief system manifesting reality rather than a sign from God?

I could have added one more category here and that is the pseudo intellectual. This guy asks questions to show off his own intelligence more than with the idea of learning anything. An example would be the above student who corrects the teacher with a more exact reference to the exact speed of light. This correction was not necessary to help in the point the teacher was making.

One thing to notice about these questions is that as we progress from the average student to the disciple we find the questions will be more challenging to the status quo, more independently thought out and less likely to follow the line of least resistance.

This illustrates that when I speak of an aspiring disciple asking questions, I do not mean just any question, but that he acquires a questioning mind which questions mainstream thought.

Isaiah wisely said: “He that believeth doth not make haste.”

The disciple, or aspiring disciple, will not believe in haste what he has been told. He will check it out and question it no matter how unpopular he is for doing so.

Now we move on to the next principle in the discovery of truth which is:

Plant a seed thought in your mind and heart, and feed this thought with contemplation and meditation. Observe the fruit that comes forth, and accept that which is sweet and registers with your soul.

What is a seed thought and why is this a viable tool in the discovery of truth?

A seed thought is basically any thought, sentence, phrase, or idea that you choose to focus on with contemplation over a period of time. Because all words are symbols of some truth all seed thoughts have the capacity to generate higher realization.

Some teachers have emphasized having a monthly seed thought and this is not a bad idea, but I recommend having at least three working out within you at all times.

(1) A seed thought around a great mystery that may take you a lifetime to solve.

(2) A seed thought around an idea that will probably bear fruit within 30 days.

(3) A seed thought around a concept that you will reveal light in the present time.

Now let us demonstrate the use of seed thoughts in the search for truth. I will give you a thought and you contemplate it, think about it and use it in your meditation and see what realizations of truth comes to mind.

The Thought:

“As I focus my attention on the light of the soul I see a greater light still.”

Contemplate this sentence my friends and share with us what comes to you.

Remember the principle of asking and receiving.

What are some questions we can ask ourselves about this phrase to stimulate greater light?

More on Questions

I received an e-mail asking me why I do not use the principle of manifestation I talked about earlier to manifest the wealth I need.. It sounds simple when I present it but mastering the process is quite difficult. To get an idea of how difficult we can look at those who have manifested the stigmata and observe how much they had to go through to create it.

First the dedicated Saint had to visualize the crucifixion and sufferings of Christ with relentless persistence. Then he had to identify emotionally with the suffering, often for many years.

Even though there were many seeking for holiness, those who actually experienced the Stigmata were very few.

If we can thus identify with the energy and dedication necessary to produce this one manifestation then we can understand better how difficult it is for us average folk to master this science of direct manifestation.

Nevertheless, the art is possible to master and, as it is in all things, eventually the impossible becomes possible, and the possible then becomes an easy thing to accomplish.

OK, we have given out the first seed thought and nothing much happened. Then I gave a hint that the principle of questioning should be applied and still not much has happened although I must admit that Rick came up with an interesting visualization.

Remember that I told you that a disciple will ask questions?

How many of you thought to ask questions about the seed thought when I gave it out? As we progress toward discipleship we must remember this. All people will ask questions when they are directed to, but how about when we are not directed to? How about when I just give the thought out with little information? Did you think to ask?

If not do not be discouraged. We are not all here because we are perfect, but to make progress in that direction.

I am going to help you out with the questions on this seed thought, but for the next one I expect that you will need little help.

Let us repeat the seed thought:

“As I focus my attention on the light of the soul I see a greater light still.”

Questions:

What is light anyway and how does it reveal?

What is the source of the greater light?

How could I see the greater light within an already great light?

Does this lesser and greater light create a duality?

Do the two lights produce contrast?

Does the contrast create higher vision?

What is the lower correspondence to the two lights?

To Question or Not

To Question or Not

Question: What is the key revealed in the parable of persistence that aids in the discovery of truth and how does the principle of attention and the point of tension come into play?

The group gave good answers to this, basically saying that energy follows thought and that persistently throwing a question into the ethers creates point of tension.

I like it when the group touches on principles rather than data.

It does seem to be a law that all things of value come to us after a period of intense struggle and this would include knowledge.

There are questions I have had that I have struggled with for as long as thirty years and then one day the answer just came in a flash. Sometimes it is so simple that I feel like slapping myself for not thinking of it sooner. From experience I can tell you that you reap great dividends by not giving up on the search for answers.. If you do not give up the answers will come sooner or later.

Question:

Which of the following is the most significant characteristic of one who is approaching discipleship and why?

(1) He (or she) loves everyone

(2) He has studied under a great teacher

(3) He has read all the best books and is well educated.

(4) He lives a good life.

(5) He asks questions

(6) He seeks to escape dualities.

(7) He believes the scriptures.

(8) He wants to be a teacher

(9) He reads the National Enquirer.

Answers

I can’t remember who said it but my favorite answer has to be the comment of secret messages being related in code through the Enquirer.

Actually most of you settled on the answer I was looking for which, of course, number five.

Here is an example of one of the good answers we received:

“To live engaged in life, to grow, is to ask questions which lead us to learn to think

critically. The quality of a question is not in its answer but in the depth and number of questions that are evoked from its asking.”

During my last days as a member of a church I was teaching a Sunday School class about the coming of Christ and asked what I thought was a good question. I asked them to suppose that Jesus had made his Second Coming and was standing right here in front of us. What would you ask him?

There were about 50 people in the class and not a hand went up. I was amazed at this. No one had any question, in other words, there was nothing any one wanted to learn from the Master. No wonder he had not showed up yet!

I tried to shame them into an answer by saying something like:

“Surely someone here has at least one question you’d like to ask Jesus.”

Not a hand went up.

At this point I picked on a lady who I considered more spiritual than most and asked her specifically: “What would you ask the Messiah if he was standing right here in front of you?”

She thought a moment and said: “I’d ask him how to give better lessons when I teach.”

I was flabbergasted. According to their belief system Jesus could reveal any mystery they wanted to know and I had to force a question out of them. Worse still is that the question that did finally surface could be answered by thousands of people.

Is it any wonder that I (as well as many of you) have graduated out of mainstream religion and into a higher classroom? The key to this graduation is to seek, ask and receive.

When I was young and naïve I assumed that most people were curious and wanted to know the many mysteries that lie before us, but was indeed amazed at how few really do want to know and seek answers.

Many believe that just being a good loving person and living a good life is the key to being noticed by the Great Ones but such is not the case. Becoming a well-rounded and decent person in society is only a first step. The real quantum leap forward comes when the individual starts asking the why of things.

The Eucharist

I want to clear up one point about the Eucharist. Some seem to think that I see no value in it or discount the possibility of communion with the Spirit of Christ from this sacrament. Such is not the case. I do believe that through ceremonial orders such as this that communion through the Holy Spirit is indeed enhanced and becomes real. In fact we participated in this at the gathering.

What I discount is that the bread and wine are turned into the actual body and blood of the entity Jesus. For one thing, if you take all the bread or wafers being consumed at communion on any given Sunday you would have to have a total amount of several tons. This would mean that the body of Jesus would be larger than a whale.

And who has power to give you the Eucharist? Does it have to come from a Catholic Priest or a Mormon who both claim authority from the apostles? Are all the protestants rejected in their communion with God? The answer should be obvious.

Stigmata

Question: Is the stigmata, bleeding crying statues, faces appearing on walls etc. true signs from God? If they are what is the purpose behind such strange appearances?

If the cause behind it is not as simple as a sign from God then what do you suppose is the cause? What would truly cause a stigmata for instance.

All of our physical forms including our whole world was created first upon higher planes. The first world of form where form creation takes place is the mental, the second the astral/emotional, the third the etheric and finally the dense physical. In order to manifest miraculous creation as Jesus did with the loaves and fishes the master magician must create sequentially from the higher level on down.

Suppose you wanted to manifest an apple. First you get the idea of an apple and then you visualize it on the plane of the mind. Once you see this in your mind’s eyes this fruit then takes on a real existence in the mental plane. The next step is to clothe the mental apple by the power of desire with emotional substance. When you do this, the power of your desire for the apple manifests the fruit in two worlds – the mental and astral.

What usually happens at this point?

At this point you want an apple so much you will walk over to the refrigerator and take one out and eat it.

Ahh, but that’s the easy way out. In truth if you could continue to visualize the apple while saturating it with desire energy you could actually manifest it on the physical plane.

Those who thus experience the Stigmata and other similar miracles are really unconscious magicians who are applying these principles. Their one-pointed visualization of the suffering of Christ accompanied by a desire for approval from God can indeed manifest some interesting phenomenon.

It is not a sign from a God who is out there on a throne, but a sign that we are reflection, or in the image of God, and all the miraculous creative abilities of God are within us.

Perfect Balance

Perfect Balance

The latest assignment is:

All of creation takes place because of interplay of positive and negative (male-female) forces. Most teachers believe that these two forces are exactly equal and balance each other out and therefore there is no such thing as good and evil in the scheme of things.

Why is this an illusionary belief? Are the positive and negative (good and evil) exactly equal? If not then what does this have to do with the creation of the dominating good? What would happen if the dualities were exactly equal?

Positive and negative can only exist when they are close to being equal, but not quite equal. The imbalance of energy in our physical world thus causes one energy to be a sending one and one to be a receiver. The process of sending and receiving is an attempt by nature to bring balance in the universe.

If all energies were to become perfectly balanced then we would have perfect circles formed around a point which would then be reduced to a point of nothingness. As it is, there are no perfect circles and this lack of perfect circles of energy in motion creates a spiral of ever increasing size. The universe is such a spiral of ever increasing size, ever expanding. Just as we humans are ever seeking to increase our ring-pass-not, even so is the universe as a whole expanding its ring.

The universe of physical form is created because one of the energies dominates and this domination is called “the dominating good” by the sages.

In the total scheme of things evil is that which takes us toward dissolution and nothingness and good is that which takes us toward creation and order. We thus have these two energies interplaying, one in the direction of disorder and dissolution and the other toward order and creation. Thankfully the energy of creation dominates and thus the universe is ever Becoming and evolving as an ever expanding spiral. Then when any creation has finished with its purpose dissolution dominates and all elements return to their source.

Whereas it is true that the positive energy dominates in our physical world the negative dominates in the etheric and astral. Then the positive dominates in the mental and so on up to the monad.

This universe is created by seven rays and is part of seven planes which is merely a subplane of a greater system of seven greater planes.

Each odd number representing a ray or plane (and even years) is polarized in the positive energy and the even numbers are polarized in the negative energy. Notice that concerning this great number of seven that we have four positive numbers and three negative which gives all creation a domination toward the positive, or the dominating good.

When the time comes in the far future that the universe will be created on a basis of twelve then a point of perfect balance will be reached; thus the great symbology and power of twelve as a spiritual number that penetrates the soul into the unseen.

Time to move on to the next principle of discovery which is:

Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened – Ask and you shall receive.

I remember when I first heard this scripture when I was a kid. I thought this was a great promise because I had many questions. But then to my disappointment I found that just asking God for an answer did not seem to work. Finally, I found the following scripture which gave me encouragement. Here it is in a modern English translation.

Jesus said: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You would shout up to him, ‘A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit and I’ve nothing to give him to eat.’ He would call down from his bedroom, ‘Please don’t ask me to get up. The door is locked for the night and we are all in bed. I just can’t help you this time.’

“But I’ll tell you this; though he won’t do it as a friend, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you everything you want; just because of your persistence. And so it is with prayer; keep on asking and you will keep on getting; keep on looking and you will keep on finding; knock and the door will be opened. Everyone who asks, receives; all who seek, find; and the door is opened to everyone who knocks.” Luke 11:6-10

Question: What is the key revealed here that aids in the discovery of truth and how does the principle of attention and the point of tension come into play?

Questions

Question: You say karma may dictate whether or not a spiritual healing may take place. Does this mean that such a person should not seek medical help to make sue he suffers from karma?

I was talking about spiritual healing and even if a spiritual healing is not possible there is nothing wrong with doing all within your power to obtain the healing. I never suggested otherwise. Karma does not take away free will.

Note that I still stated that there are always “steps” that can be taken to obtain “wholeness.” There are times that the person is not prepared for a spiritual healing, but there is always a way to better health. One must find it and tread the path.

I never once read where Edgar Cayce said “no” to assisting in physical cures of the thousands of people who applied to him over several decades.

Question: Why did Edgar Cayce never say no to those who sought his help?

I have also never said no, yet there have been times that the Spirit said no. But even there solutions have been sought and sometimes found when Higher Will was followed. Edgar Cayce used many different methods. When spiritual healing is not permitted then medicine, herbs and other physical methods are in harmony with law as Cayce recommended.

I once knew a woman near death’s door with pernicious anemia who asked for a blessing from me when I went to church decades ago. I really wanted to bless her with a miraculous healing, but the Spirit restrained me so I could not promise her a healing.

She received comfort but her illness remained and then she asked again for another blessing a few weeks later. Again I hoped for a miracle and again the answer was no.

Finally she asked me a third time. But this time I just didn’t want to go through the motions, but sought for an answer and as I looked within the Spirit said:

“This person is very depressed and her depression focuses her mind on unbelief rather than faith. Lift up her downward focussed eyes to the Spirit and she shall be healed.”

Before the blessing I told her of the impressions I had from the Spirit and she admitted that she had been very depressed and would attempt to lift her spirits for the blessing.

This time when we laid our hands on her head the answer was yes and I told her she would be healed.

The next time I saw her in church I was delighted to see her happy and perfectly well after a long lingering illness.

Question: You said, “Suffering only comes to us when the Purpose of God is resisted. When the patient learns where the resistance is and corrects it then a healing becomes possible.”

And how exactly does a three year-old child with leukemia come to that realization? And exactly how did that child “resist”?

A three year old child has usually experienced thousands of years in mortal life in past lives and, as unfortunate as it seems, many of us will suffer effects of karma as children in future lives. Before a child is born he or she saw the circumstances in the appointed body and accepted them for the sake of progression.

So why do you think children suffer? Do you picture some fiendish God punishing the innocent or merely that all misfortune is just a matter of random luck?

Question: Shouldn’t we just focus on the words of Christ?

Why do you think that should be the only focus?

Jesus said that his followers shall do greater works than he did. (See John 14:12). Pursuing the path to greater works and greater revelation is our focus here and I’m sure Christ would approve. This is not a Bible study class and that is not a bad thing.

When Jesus appeared he did not concentrate on the standard teachings of Moses, but presented new concepts. The true teachers in this age are the same. They will not just rehash the old, but present the new, for, after all, God says, “I make all things new.” Rev 21:5

Then too Isaiah says: “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Isa 42:9

The relationship of humanity to Christ has not been sufficient the past 2000 years and have indeed lacked a fullness as was prophesied by Paul:

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” II Tim 4:3-4

Fables have indeed been built around many of the teachings of Christ, including the sacraments.

Question: Shouldn’t we just go with the simple teachings in the scriptures. You seem to add too much complexity.

So the atomic bomb did not really go off because it was complex. Your computer does not really work because it too is very complex. Isaiah could not be a true prophet because his writings are probably the most complex on the planet. Also your body is extremely complex yet it operates on true principles.

Truth is sometimes simple and sometimes complex. What I attempt to do is make the complex simple and I must be having some success because I have received numerous comments in this direction.

Enduring the Presence

Enduring the Presence

Readers are still questioning why the presence of a higher being could generate fear.

Refer back to my analogy on temperature and apply it to vibration. The higher the life in evolution the higher the vibration and the greater the adjustment necessary to endure the presence.

For instance of Moses it was written

“By faith he (Moses) forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.” Heb 11:27

Notice that the writer of the scripture admires Moses for enduring the presence of God (or the Master he was working with). He points out that anyone who has the courage and fortitude to do this certainly would not fear the king of Egypt.

The reason is that it takes more courage to enter into the spiritual presence of one of the Great Ones than it does to risk certain death by offending absolute ruler on earth.

But you may ask, “I know of lots of people who have seen higher beings and there was no fear.”

99% of all such visions are from either the astral world or an encounter with a thought form and these do not have a high vibration and create no cause for alarm. Even a Master from the 5th Kingdom can visit you physically with no alarming exchange of vibration. But if you go to the higher lives in the spirit and see or experience them as they are the vibration difference will be alarming for the first several encounters. Also, if a Master connects with you in the Spirit you will note a high vibration that needs a period of adjustment. If a Master decides to admit you into his ashram you will first be sent a flow of energy of higher vibration to give you time to adjust. This adjustment can be disturbing at first – a little like getting into a hot bath. It’s discomforting at first but after you adjust it is OK.

Then after the disciple makes adjustments in vibration he or she is admitted to the group. If the ashram were to let you in without the adjustment you may either suffer death or go insane.

Lives higher than the Masters of the 5th kingdom are more intense still and their vibration can definitely create some fear at first. For instance, if you started to enter your tub and discovered the water was actually boiling you would be justifiable afraid to enter. Your body would have to undergo some type of change to enter such heat and if someone told you that you could enter safely you would have natural doubts, This would require a great act of faith in whoever told you to enter the boiling water.

Even so, high entities of light on the first Ray have this effect and this fear is what Moses had to overcome.

There is one person who joined this group who encountered a portion of this First Ray energy and that was Alley who created the artwork for my web page. I think it may have scared her off the group as we have not heard from her for some time. I think she may have had some type of assignment waiting for her.

Even though the vibration of higher lives is very intense the person receiving them will inherently know that they are on the side of good because the vibration will be recognized by the inner most part of themselves as desirable to attain.

All Things Being Equal?

Several thoughts concerning fear.

Without fear there is no courage and without courage there is no point of tension and with no point of tension there are no quantum leaps into newness and great adventures.

Perfect love casteth out fear, but it does not prevent the pilgrim from encountering and facing the fear.

There is a certain amount of illusion behind most fears, but there is also great illusion behind most proclamations of love. Unraveling the real fear and mastering it is as important as discovering the real love of God and accepting it.

The most important fear to master is the fear of fear, for he who fears fear will pretend to himself that he has no fear in any circumstances. Fear thus becomes a seed growing in the dark seeking the light of day.

The question: “What do we mean when we say that “good dominates?”

“Why do you suppose it is true that good dominates in the end and how can a knowledge of this help us to overcome the primal fear which is a fear of loss?”

All of creation takes place because of an interplay of positive and negative (male-female) forces.

The Power of Creation

Question: “If all of creation takes place because of an interplay of positive and negative (male-female) forces how do you explain cell reproduction with no sex?

The activity within the organism responsible for the growth of the new cell takes place as a result of positive and negative (male-female) forces. Without this interplay of forces there would be no cell to even reproduce.

Nothing is neutral in the world of form. Some believe that stable atoms, neutrons and cells are neutral, but they all will have a small charge either positive or negative.

No two things in the world of form are exactly identical but are close enough that the differences are not perceptible. No copy of anything is exact but again is close enough that the differences are not perceptible.

Even before the child displays physical sex his creation takes place through the interplay of positive and negative (male-female) forces., originating of course with the interplay of the male and female in the sex act itself.

From the one God did come the two (male female). But when there was one there was no creation. There was only creation when we had the two in order to have the interplay.

By the way, the ancient wisdom (HPB I believe) also teaches that there is no such thing as a number one unless you have a two. You either have zero or unlimited numbers because if you have one you have to have an originating source of the one which also makes two.

Also if you have one you also have zero which also makes two concepts.

Question: How then did two occur from one … if it wasn’t creation ..

As Blavatsky said if there is one there has to be two. The first creation, if there was such a thing, would have to have a second force acting upon it making a correspondence of male and female energy.

Now let us suppose there was a time (or no time) when there was no creation. Would there still be a duality? Here is an interesting quote from my book.

“It was an amazing feeling, or non-feeling, and even though there was a time that decision existed with no creation, I sensed that there were universes beyond and before creation, as we know it, and I could retrieve no information about them. I did sense that God, or Decision, existed in a point beyond and before time and space. Before this point were two possibilities. They were the possibility of Something, and Nothing, or the possibility of Creation or No Creation.

Suddenly an inspiring phrase came to me. “It was the decision to be or not to be. That is the question!”

So even before form and space existed there was still a duality – the possibility of nothing (female) and the possibility of something (male) or the decision to be or not to be.

Question: How is female nothing and male something?

The seen, the radiant, that which is in motion, the out breath corresponds to male. The invisible, the magnetic, the involution, the in breath corresponds to female. Wherever there is two there is one that corresponds to male and the other to female. That which we call nothing is an esoteric something.
