Fear of Fear

Fear of Fear

Ever since the Course In Miracles was published it seemed that the term “fear based” has been thrown around with reckless abandon. Ever so often I receive a comment that the Song of the 144,000 is fear based because the word “protection” is included.

To insinuate that the fine people saying this song are doing so out of a base of fear is, I believe, a judgment in the negative sense. I know that many want to stay away from judgments, especially negative ones, so I would like to say a few words about the Song so critics will cease judging me and others (who enjoy the wording of the song) as acting from a base of fear.

First Verse:

We thank you Father that you have revealed to us your protective universal light;

That within this light is complete protection from all destructive forces;

That the Holy Spirit of Your Presence permeates us in this light,

And wherever we will the light to descend.

This is different from the wall of light that Jennifer accurately wrote about. Seeing a wall of light can project some separateness (not necessarily fear). Instead, the Song calls for a revelation of the Universal Light of God which is already omni-present. The Light is here already, we just need a revelation to become aware of it. A high enough awareness of this light brings “protection from all destructive forces.”

Then willing the “light to descend” can transfer some of your awareness of the Light to another who is linked to you through Love.

The second verse reads:

We thank you Father that you fill us with your protective fires of love;

That within this love is complete protection from all destructive thoughts and feelings;

That the consciousness of Christ is lifted up in us in this love,

and wherever we will the love to be enflamed.

Light can be revealed, but Love is a creation in duality among various life forms. In the void of complete oneness there may be peace but there is no love. Love is a creation similar to fire in rubbing two flints together and can only exist where there is more than one. Love is the attractive force between two or more lives. In the case of the Song it is the attractive force between the higher and lower self. When our lower self allows and wills this attraction, the God within then responds and the fires of the inner Love are manifest. When they are manifest to a high degree there is then created “protection from all destructive thoughts and feelings,” for such thoughts and feelings flee when such love is present.

The word “protection” seems to be a thorn in the side to many, as if protection is always a fear based thing. In answer to this I ask:

Is it fear based to wear a raincoat to protect you from the elements?

When you come home in the evening and your house is on the cold side, is it fear based to turn up the heat to protect you from the cold?

Is it fear based to steer your car down the road to protect you from crashing into other cars?

Silly, isn’t it? If protection is fear based then there is no way for us to escape fear for we all desire protection in many ways.

We do not build a beautiful home (that protects from the elements) out of fear, but common sense people do it for the positive goal of more abundant living.

To see any word in our language as a fear-creating thing is to generate a fear of fear. This brings to mind the famous quote of Roosevelt: “The only thing to fear is fear itself.”

This phrase was revealed by the Brotherhood to Napoleon Hill who gave it to the President.

If we eliminate the fear of fear then the fear of words will disappear and then we can use even words such as “protection” to our advantage.

It is over zealousness that sees the Song as fear based unless one is personally saying it in response to some fear of fear. But even if this is the case, in many instances, the Song will reduce, rather than increase fear.

Gender and Energy

A gay male member of the group wanted me to elaborate on his possible place in a molecule and how the energies play out.

Strong male energies need either good self-control or strong centering to open their receptive female energies.

Neither male or female or the gay state is a permanent situation for us.

As a general rule we fluctuate in a wavelength of time between male and female. Disciples in the service of the planet can choose their sex to a degree, but the majority follow energies that push and pull at them so they oscillate between male and female. Approximately 7 lives, or periods of activity, as one sex and seven lives, or periods of activity, as the other. At the top of the wavelength you are a strong male (in energy) and at the bottom you are a good looking magnetic female.

The problem comes at the switch-over. If you were in a female body in your last life and now find yourself in a male body it would still seem natural to be attracted to males. It takes many entities a lifetime or two to fully accept their switch-over when it comes.

If you find yourself in a cross-over life then your natural attraction to the opposite sex may not have fully set in. But as time goes on the energy of the new sex you are in will increase and usually becomes adjusted by your second life in that state.

One of the problems with the switch over is that few members of the opposite sex have a similar opposite polarity to your own. On the other hand, members of your same sex who have recently crossed over seem to have a similar opposite polarity.

In your own relationship, for instance, one of you will be male and the other female in energy in relation to each other, but because you are in male physical bodies you will both be male in energy to the whole of humanity and in this respect creates a point of friction or resistance of the natural flow.

What causes this is the reluctance of most of us to accept the changes that our souls have placed us in. This natural resistance all of us have is the cause of death. Not just gays, but all of us resists the will of the soul so we are forced to die and forget. Then we are reborn with no memory so we will face willingly that which we resisted in the past life. When we consciously accept the energies that are sent our way and use them without being forced then death becomes unnecessary.

It is silly for any of us to condemn gays for all of us go through that experience at one time or another at crossover. It is important, however to understand the correct use of energy so the ultimate freedom can be obtained.

When the person enters his cross-over life his attraction to the opposite sex may be weak because a period of time is required to adjust to the energy of the different sex he finds himself in. Nevertheless, because you are in a male body you will be polarized in the male energy, however weak, and will have an opposite energy to a female who has also recently crossed over.

Now keep in mind that a weak attraction to the opposite sex is not related to passion or vital energy, which can be high or low in any cycle.

Many gay men maintain that they cannot have a physical attraction to a female, but this is not so. With some exceptions this applies to most females. One who is in a crossover life will find the energy of about 90% of females out of sync, but there will be about 10-15% that the gay male could have a physical relationship with, if he opened up himself to it.

Many good looking highly magnetic females are attracted to gay men because of their looks, but this type of female will have an awkward energy for the gay man to deal with.

The female that the gay man could have a physical relationship with would be the female that has a tendency toward the gay lifestyle herself. To make it work both would have to resist the natural impulses of their past lives and tune into their current energies sent to them from their souls. This is quite difficult for both of them.

In the end the answer to the correct use of energy is soul contact. Only by following your soul can you balance your energies correctly.

The transgender is in an even more difficult situation than the gay. Not all, but some of them are truly female energies in a male body and visa versa. In this case the person cannot be attracted to their opposite sex no matter how hard they try.

This happens because of several reasons. First nature itself is not perfect and sometimes mistakes happen. Second is the karma of the individual undergoing the experience.

As far as gays in a molecule? Remember the human atom is not one individual, but a male-female united. The gay can participate in the molecule in two ways:

(1) He or she can find a partner of the opposite sex with whom they are comfortable, and this person can be a working partner. The focus of the molecule is not on sexual relations, or romance, and any energies in that direction are not a part of its function. The only concern is that all activities be in harmony with the person’s own soul. The important thing is that the partners can work together as a unit. Think of two people working together in a non-romantic situation at a regular place of employment.

(2) The third main particle in the atom is the neutron. This is a neutral particle with no opposite polarity. If a gay operates in this energy he (or she) participates as a stabilizing energy and could be a member of the molecule, but as an associate with no partner. There will be a male female unit with whom he or she will work.

Decision-Consciousness-Attention

A reader wants more light on Decision-Consciousness-Attention and relates a general definition of it.

However, the key is not the definition of these words. The key is the answer to WHO OR WHAT AM I?

The answer is not a definition of a word, but a principle, which is never the definition of a word. Your essence as it exists in any state of Becoming is that power within you which makes decisions, not decision itself. Decision is the key word, but not the answer. This power which is your essence does not have a name in the English language. It has not been recognized so it has not been named.

In the book there is a mention of another key word which will shed some light on this and the word was revealed in the beginning of the book on the Molecular Relationship. That word is Purpose. Purpose as it is used there is not purpose as we define it in our normal conversation which is related to goal setting. Purpose as we shall use it is the Initiator of all things. It is not energy, but is the initiator of energy. It is not decision, but the initiator of Decision and gives meaning to all things. Decision cannot exist without Purpose. Purpose sustains that power within you to Become and Decide. Because you are a reflection of Purpose you are that power to decide, but not decision itself. Decision is the key word because it is the highest hint in the direction of our essence that we have an accepted word for.

Decision, Consciousness and Attention are to be seen as a Trinity, not as words to be defined. If they are seen as an interdependent Trinity created by Purpose then this will indeed be a key of knowledge to you. These words may seem simple, but even the highest masters and beyond are continually expanding their ring-pass-not on this concept.

We may think we understand Decision-Consciousness-Attention. Before 1492 the people thought they understood the concept of earth-circle-ship, but Columbus discovered a key from this Trinity that led us to discover a new world.

Never be fooled by simplicity.

We will be talking more about Purpose/Decision as time goes on and as future Immortal Books are released. In the meantime I will try and answer specific questions.

The Light of Knowledge
A Parable

There were once three teams of scholars with great knowledge of antiquities who decided to visit an ancient cave wherein there were mysterious hieroglyphics and symbols that had never been deciphered.

The first team took with them candles as their light and after much searching came upon the sacred writings. As they gazed upon them the candles were brushed by gentle drafts of air that made them dance, and the light they gave flickered, causing the images they saw to shift as moving clouds in the summer sky.

This first team thought that the candlelight would be all that was needed to read the ancient symbols for they expected them to be large, clear and easy to discern. Instead, there were fine carvings and symbols within symbols that were difficult to discern in a weak light.

Because of the faint light of the candles the finer etchings were not at all visible to the team and even the larger ones seemed to come in and out of focus and move and shift with the flickering light.

Nevertheless, the scholars did not want to go home empty-handed so they did their best to interpret the writings. One by one they stepped forward, examined the writings and gave individual interpretations.

The problem was that each interpretation was different and vague as each was guessing at the true meaning because of the difficulty in seeing. After each had spoken the senior member rose and spoke:

“We have all seen the writings and interpreted them. We seem to be saying different things, but if you listen carefully each of us is really saying the same thing. Obviously these ancients were very mysterious and wrote about universal truths in such a way that they can be seen, not only as different faces, but the same face at the same time. There are many truths, but one truth. No matter what you think and believe it is true to you and is your truth; it is just as valid or true as that held by anyone else.

“When we return we shall tell our students what we have read here and if one seems to differ from another we will tell them that the core meaning of these writings is that there is one truth with many faces and if more than one face is presented that is as it should be.”

Now everyone seemed happy with this conclusion except for one named James, who realized that the real truth had not been seen because of lack of light. He was curious as to the true meaning of the writings and was not satisfied with conjecture. Thus he petitioned to join the second group and journeyed with them to the cave.

This second group brought with them powerful lanterns so the cave would be full of light and a full and correct interpretation could be gathered.

The second group entered the cave, beamed the full light upon the writings and began reading.

Because the light was strong and steady all were able to see with the same vision and as they interpreted there were enough similarities that it seemed they were seeing and interpreting with the same accord. The scholars stayed until all the symbols were read and interpreted, and many notes were taken.

As they were getting ready to leave James noticed something interesting and said: “I think we need to stay for yet a while longer. Notice these smaller symbols within symbols. I think this is a key to a larger interpretation that we may have overlooked.”

The senior scholar rose up somewhat ruffled that this upstart seemed to have seen something that he did not and said: “These smaller marks are not keys, but merely emphasis. We have seen all there is to see here and we will tarry no longer but return to our homes and families.”

At that the group began to leave. James would have stayed and studied longer, but all the light was needed by the group to return and he was forced to go with them.

A short time after the group returned they held lectures and began to teach numerous students the meaning of the writings. They had all assumed they were of one mind on the interpretation, but as it turned out each scholar had similarities in his meaning but there were differences on key points. Many students who heard more than one scholar were confused and did not know which version to believe and thus accepted no version as accurate. Others picked a single version that sounded right and stuck with that and rejected the others.

James reflected on the results and concluded several reasons for the problem. First, there were gaps in the interpretations because all the scholars relied on their memories and notes, and they all seemed to be remembering what they read a little differently. Secondly, the full and true meaning was read by none because they overlooked the tiny symbols which would surely provide a key to the full meaning. To solve this problem James determined that a camera should be taken and the complete writings must be photographed and studied objectively. By doing this he can then show the mislead scholars the original writings with the correct translation and surely they will be grateful.

James petitioned to join the third group and he and several others took cameras and excellent lighting so they seemed prepared to finish the job.

They entered the cave and studied as before. Then James pointed out the small engravings and several took notes and saw the possibility of some higher or alternate meaning. They photographed the scene thoroughly and went home. James was placed in charge of developing the photos and circulating them to the group. After they had all studied them individually they then were to meet together and come to a decision as to the best interpretation.

James fulfilled his assignment, developed the film and circulated copies. As he sat to make his own translation he first examined the larger characters as they all did in the cave and came up with a similar interpretation as did the group earlier.

Then he studied the smaller engravings, trying to figure how they fit in, as they did not seem to fit directly into the story line. Then it occurred to him that the larger writings gave a meaning that was taught to and accepted by the masses, but the smaller writings gave higher meaning that initiates could understand.

For instance, the larger writings talked about a fatherly type of God that loves and watches over us all; whereas the smaller writings explain that God can be aware of us because we are reflected in His image and God is thus within us.

James found these smaller writings much more fascinating than the larger ones, even though he realized that they would not be accepted by the general populace as the large ones would be.

A short time later the third group met together to compare translations. To James’ surprise most of the scholars completely ignored the smaller writings. Many felt they were not a part of the original, but added by some enemy at a later date. Because of the photographic record the group was able to reach consensus on the general translation of the larger symbols, but only several gave credibility to the smaller writings.

After the meeting James thought that the other two groups would be interested in the photographs and the translation. He visited several members of the second group and showed them the photos which revealed that their memories were incorrect and had corrupted the meaning. These scholars, however, had already put forth their translations and felt it would ruin their reputations to admit that they were wrong and thus became angry with James and ordered him out of their presence, calling the photos a fraud.

James was surprised by this reaction. It was difficult to understand why anyone would not want to discover the simple truth that was laid out right before their eyes.

Then the first group came to his mind. Surely they would be grateful to see these images in their clarity instead of just by candlelight. As he visited this first group he did not receive anger as a response, but something even more frustrating. The general response was something like this:

“This is wonderful that you have found meaning in these photographs and this is your truth, but the meaning I saw by candlelight is my truth and because it has no structure I can mold and blend the meaning to apply to my situation. I like my truth as I see it and since all truth is one I have no need of your photos.”

James was astounded by this willingness to remain in darkness and made one more attempt to show his interpretation, but when he made a second attempt some became irritable and told him not to force his truth down their throats and to leave them alone.

James thus withdrew from the first group and returned to the third group and called upon the scholars who also saw value in the small symbols. To his delight he found that they had gathered students and he gathered these together in private and they studied the whole picture and were filled with joy and unity as they were edified with higher knowledge.

Eventually the true interpretation became so obvious that the resisting individuals from all three groups joined in with light as grains of sand naturally fall from one part of the hourglass to the other.

Rolling Waters

Rolling Waters

My first reflection today brings to mind a great statement from the past: “How long can rolling waters remain impure?”

The waters here are in motion making stagnation impossible and the motion toward Becoming a reality.

I see the word censorship keeps surfacing, sometimes I think a little unfairly. As long as a person or group does not attempt to restrict the free speech of others by their own initiative they are within their rights to create a group, forum, newsletter or whatever which is confined to certain lines of thought. For instance, it would not be unfair censorship to have a forum on atomic physics and to attempt to prevent people from posting on bird watching. The bird watchers still have their freedom to create a forum of their own design with no limits on their discussion. To force a discussion on bird watching on the atomic scientists would take away more freedom than it gives so one could not cry censorship here in the name of freedom.

With that said then should we make rules here that would silence contrarians for good and send them into the ethers of oneness where none can speak?

I think not.

But neither should we seek to silence postings of positive members who have spoken in painful honesty.

Basically then I support the idea of maintaining the group with the same guidelines that we have followed from the beginning. We have never asked anyone to leave and I do not think we have to. In fact I do not remember anyone ever asking anyone else to leave. Some have asked certain people to either stay on topic or start their own group which is certainly within the perimeters of this group for one to so request.

Some may find it interesting that Philo from the book even argued on some of the same topics we have been discussing.

Let me quote:

My fear was somewhat reinforced by Elizabeth’s next statement, “So are you a part of the Brotherhood of Light?”

“So you know of the Brotherhood?” he (Philo) asked, a little surprised.

“Some things,” she said.

“Tell me something you know,” he said.

I tried sending Elizabeth a mental message to not reveal too much. She answered. “I know that there is a Brotherhood of Light and then there are the Dark Brothers.”

“Ahh. The illusion of good and evil,” said Philo. “In the end, good and evil are seen as two parts of a whole. The Brotherhood is just the Brotherhood. They are neither good nor evil. They just are. You just are. I just am. I AM.” He spoke I AM with the mannerism that he was saying something infinitely profound.

“So, do you see yourself as being one with the Brotherhood?” I asked.

Philo looked in the direction of the ceiling. “All who are one with the Higher Self are brothers and dwell in oneness.”

“But I have had a definite experience where I have encountered a being from the invisible world that was definitely not good. He was definitely evil and wanted to do me harm,” Elizabeth countered.

Philo began pacing back and forth, his hands clasped behind his back. “There are lives in every plane who do not realize their connection with their source and seem to do harm. In reality, they are just mischievous children who have not found their way home. If one of them comes into your life experience you must ask yourself why you needed that experience.”

“So, you are saying that if someone robs me it’s because I need the experience?” I asked.

“Yes, and if the experience seems unpleasurable, you must ask yourself what there is in you that wants pain in your life rather than pleasure..”

“Do you believe in karma then?” Elizabeth asked.

“Karma is for those who feel they need it. When you no longer need it, you do not have to suffer its consequences.”

“So, if I kill someone and decide I don’t have a need to pay for my crime, then I don’t have to pay for my wrong doing?” I said, incredulous at his philosophy.

He reflected a second and replied slowly, “You bring to you what you think you need. If you feel you do not need punishment, then you will not draw it to you.”

“So if he is not punished, how will he learn that it is wrong to kill?” Elizabeth asked.

“All souls progress toward the Light, and as we do, we just drop our harmful characteristics and keep the good. The old souls become part of the One Brotherhood. It does not matter what they have done in the past because it is the past and they live in the present. The Present is all there is.”

“See. I told you this guy was great, didn’t I?” Lance exclaimed, elbowing my arm. “He has an answer for everything.”

“But having an answer and the right answer are two different things,” I said, glaring at Philo.

Many have been surprised and near alarm at the different views and lack of unity as of late and some have wondered what causes this to be.

Others have wondered how it may be possible to achieve the unity necessary to create working molecules. Perhaps several hints may be gathered from the following parable. Read and feel free to post your thoughts on possible interpretations.

Sending Love

Sending Love

Laura asks:

In JJ’s book, there is a sharp contrast between those who follow the light (Becomers) and those who follow the dark (Be-ers). But I would think that even in following the path of the dark, there would be a process of becoming darker.

So wouldn’t they also be Becoming?

Actually there are three paths in the overall picture. The path of Becoming which all of us are on who incarnated on this earth and are moving forward in any degree.

The second path (technically a non path) is the path of Being. This state is realized and incorporated with Becoming for disciples.

However the state of Being with no Becoming is had by those who did not decide to incarnate. These entities just are and will not have the opportunity to Become for another eternity.

The third path is followed by the Dark Brothers. Even though they may teach many concepts borrowed from the Brotherhood of light and also many false concepts that does not even apply to them, their path is actually the opposite of Becoming. This opposite path is not Being, but could be called “unbecoming” or perhaps an “unraveling.” That individual identity that they are, that has been in the building stages for millions of years is becoming unraveled and disintegrating back to the Source because of their total rejection of the light.

Without a thread to their Soul the life begins to go out until they become an empty shell and dissolve back to their native element.

But even with this tragedy all is not lost. Billions of years hence a new attempt will be made to rebuild the failed reflection until finally the glory of God will be made manifest. By that time, however, his old friends will have progressed far beyond him and they will never associate on the same level again in this eternity.

Fortunately, few ever progress this far along the dark path. The pain and darkness encountered usually makes them turn around before the path of destruction is reached.

A reader asks about an apparent conflict.

The eighth Principle of Synthesis reads:

We affirm that the power of Love is the greatest unifying principle and send only the pure Love of Christ/God to all.

Also the Song sends “light and love and power to ALL the sons and daughters of mankind.”

Yet I have taught that it can be hazardous to single out an individual of low vibration to send love to.

Actually this is not a contradiction

Sending love to ALL or the whole body of humanity is a much different thing than singling out a single person. When love is sent to all and hate to none you are then sending to humanity as if it were one great life form. This is like sending love to your entire body instead of individual cells.

Sending love to specific individuals can create a number of problems, the most prominent of which is the interference of free will. If we are talking about spiritual love here there are many people who are not prepared to receive it and do not wish to have it sent to them.

When love is sent to ALL or the body of humanity, each can tap into the love energy that is fitted to his own consciousness and free will is not upset. But sending one’s own version of Love to one who does not desire it is like force feeding a friend peas for his own good even though he may hate peas.

A disciple can discern through the soul who is ready to receive the love he has to offer and it will flow naturally through a sense of giving and receiving.

If the disciple comes across one who does not chose to receive love he will not send it, just as Jesus did not send it to the Pharisees. But neither will the disciple send hate, bitterness or any other negative feeling. Instead, he will stand in the center of peace and harmlessness and make his love available if it should be desired.

Another reason that we need to use discernment is that there are numerous ways that we as humans interpret what love is. I have had people tell me they love me and will pray for me when in reality I have felt waves of hate coming from them.

Other times I have felt the energy of well meaning people sending their version of love to me and have found it quite annoying, for the love was sent for the purpose of changing my mind which I did not want to change.

Then there have been times that love naturally flowed when I was willing to give or receive and the experience was heavenly.

If a person of high vibration sends love to one of lower vibration the lower will pick it up all right, but by the time it filters through his solar plexus the love will be transmuted to selfish desire which is his way of seeing love.

Let me quote from a previous article which expands on a comment given by DK:

“If we send Light and Love to anyone on the dark path or of a low vibration, or someone who will use power contrary to the good of the whole then the Light and Love we send will be transmuted to the lower centers and all we will do is energize the lower desires of these people.

“Many Light Workers at the beginning of World War II made the mistake of sending Light and Love to Hitler and it only had the effect of energizing his lower self rather than making him more sensitive to the needs of others.

“The world would have been much better served if they had sent the positive energy to others in Germany who may be more receptive. If the energy was sent to Romel, Stauffenberg and others who were just men seeking to overthrow Hitler the war may have ended sooner.”

Conclusion:

It is always safe to send Love to all of humanity or a large number of people because there will always be a number of people who are happy to receive it of their own free will.

We should send love to individuals who desire it of us or when we are moved upon by the inner self. We should send hate to none, wish peace to all and make love available to all who wish to receive and be edified.
