Molecular Business Questions

QUESTION: Probably about the most difficult thing to accept about Molecular Business is the idea of equal pay for all (with some necessary exceptions). Doesn’t this run counter to free enterprise which has proven to produce more wealth than all socialistic concepts that have ever been tried?

ANSWER: Unlike government and totalitarian sponsored programs of equality (which actually produced less equality than capitalism,) the Molecular Business works within the structure of free enterprise; no force whatsoever is applied to the whole to make it work or to force equality. All are free to accept or reject the grand experiment at any time.

To truly understand the principle of equality as far as salary is concerned, we must stretch our minds and take a look into the future when true abundance is established on an earth that has “peace on earth goodwill toward humankind” as a working principle.

We have seen how much more wealth each individual has now than he had 100 years ago because of technology. Take the washing machine, for example. This gave much more freedom to the female than she ever had before. Then the automobile is another obvious example. It used to be a day’s journey to go into town and go shopping; now it takes a few minutes. Finally, we have the computer. For many businesses this little instrument replaces several bookkeepers, a typesetter, a printer, an artist, a research department and so on.

Now if we have benefited this much over the last one hundred years because of the advancement of mankind, imagine what life will be like by the year 2100 as we seem to be moving ahead at an even more accelerated rate. If we can live in relative peace with the other nations of the earth, as well as earth itself, and overcome the idea that abundance is something that can only be had by a few, then the time is shortly at hand when material wealth will lose its meaning, for everyone will have all they need to live the abundant life. When this occurs the competition will raise to a higher level. Instead of seeing who can make the most money we will compete to see who can be the most creative in improving the quality of life for mankind.

True equality must evolve within mankind as the consciousness of the race evolves; it will not happen overnight. The concept of equality of pay, in that ll will have all they need, is the destiny of the planet, but how far away the fulfillment of that destiny is remains to be seen. No one is going to come to us and give us black and white rules to make this happen, but through trial and error we must implement the highest principles in this direction that we can envision.

The principle of election in business will be easier to sell to the workers than the principle of equality. The first molecular businesses may only implement the election principle at first and then equalize employees as successful initiates break off with the desire to take equality several steps further.

The Molecular Principles would be difficult to execute within a company that is not presently practicing it. Current incompetent managers would be against the principle of election for fear of being replaced. High wage earners would be against equality. It’s easy to convince the workers at the bottom to take a higher wage, but who at the top is willing to take a lower one? Yet within the Molecular Business successful management evolves through election, and such managers will be happy to take a higher position for the same pay as the front line workers because of the many other benefits involved. All in the company have nothing to lose.

The Molecular Business is created with evolution in mind. In businesses of today break-offs are dreaded, but in the Molecular Order break-offs are still linked to the original and encouraged to excel. As one Molecular Business succeeds the others benefit, the opposite of the competitive world today.

Thus we could have evolution something like this: The first generation implements the principle of election along with profit sharing and benefits comparable to the best business practices in existence today. A goal of an abundant wage for all is created (say something like $70,000), which is also a cap on cash wages. In the beginning, only a few make this much and except for this cap there is a variety of pay scales as in a regular company. Then as the company becomes more profitable the employees making less than $70,000 have an increase in salary until every employee in the company reaches this amount. Faithful employees at the bottom rung would receive priority over new employees. Temporary employees would be paid just as companies do now, according to supply and demand. Many new employees will begin as temps and be invited into full employment as they prove themselves.

Then the second generation copies everything that works from the first and moves closer to equality by paying management and workers with more equity and making up the difference with stock.

Finally, after three, four or five generations the equal pay principle is finally secured as the company demonstrates great profitability.

As this happens the scripture in Isaiah chapter 60 will be fulfilled:

“Who are these that fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows? For the coastlands shall wait for me, the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your children from far away, their silver and gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you. Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in my wrath I struck you down, but in my favor I have had mercy on you. Your gates shall always be open; day and night they shall not be shut, so that nations shall bring you their wealth, with their kings led in procession. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish.” Isaiah 60:8-12

As the Molecular Business becomes more successful the nations shall bring their wealth to it just as the scripture says. Even though it may not be religious in the normal sense, that which improves the lot of humanity is among the greatest of the works of God.

QUESTION: You mentioned there will be some exceptions to the rule. Let us say that we need to hire an expert in a certain field and we cannot find one with enough interest in the Molecular concept to participate. Let us say that to get the position filled we have to pay someone 100,000 a year. Wouldn’t the other workers feel negatively about this?

ANSWER: First, let me point out that there is already a tremendous difference in pay scale in regular business (some is justified and some is not), but the employees have learned to deal with it. The equality, even in an imperfect Molecular Business, would be much greater than now exists and there may be some who are a little disgruntled, but the amount of dissatisfaction would be less than is now the case.

Chances are there would be little jealousy over paying more to the specialist because all employees will be highly informed as to the workings of the company. They will realize that without this specialist the income and production of the company as a whole would be threatened and that without these exceptions their take home wage would go down.

Another point is that when faithful employees see that a specialist is needed some will feel motivated to qualify themselves for that position and, unless the specialist is under contract, he can be challenged by a Molecular employee and replace the specialist. If the specialist is replaced then he has the opportunity to find another position and becoming Molecular, or leaving the company. You will find that some will stay because of the job satisfaction and associations they have garnered.

Remember that even when the cash wage is equalized, the payment in stock will be varied, and if they are disgruntled about their lower payment in stock, they can aspire to move up in the company.

The point is equality in the fulfillment of our physical needs is one of the endpoints of our evolution, and there is no way to prevent this from materializing in the future. Between now and then we have to use judgement in working toward it. There will be a lot of imperfection upon this path, but nevertheless, it is a path with great rewards. We cannot equally share the omnipotent powers of the Spirit unless we first equally share the material goods and services so all who are willing to do their share have their needs fulfilled – but we realize that the need of each individual is different.

Exact equality of possessions on the physical plane is not desirable nor possible, but equality of opportunity to fulfill our physical needs is the goal of mankind. Keep in mind that the brain needs more oxygen than does the liver, but they are both satisfied if they receive that which they legitimately need and pass the rest on to other parts of the body. Within the brain similar cells share equally. Even so within the Molecular Business, or at least different divisions of it, some diversity of payment may be necessary.

The suggestions I give toward equality are not written in stone, but presented as ideas in a quest. If we knew all the answers the journey would not be nearly as exciting. Equality is a principle that must be worked out by us mortal humans so it becomes a part of our psyche, just as breathing is. The time will come that we will not even think about how to do it because it will be a part of our nature.

QUESTION: Will the Molecular Business work for all companies or just certain ones?

ANSWER: It can be used quite efficiently with any business or enterprise that has a hierarchical type of leadership. The greatest potential for visible improvement is the manufacturing business. The most challenging will be the first business or two patterned after this order. When it has been proven to be successful then modified Molecular Businesses will be applied to other businesses.

QUESTION: How would the Molecular Business work in a government hierarchy which has no stock?

ANSWER: The principle of election would dramatically increase the effectiveness of government hierarchies. It is true that they do not have stock, but they do have various types of bonds which are very secure. They could use these in place of stock. It is expected that governments of the world will show little interest in this idea until it has been proven beyond any doubt to work.

If a government were to switch over to the Molecular Relationship it would have to be a gradual process involving appropriate legislation on a national and State level.

The way it would have to be done is to make it a policy that all new employees are to go on it, and current employees could join it on a voluntary basis. Government wages are currently set by legislation. Therefore legislators and government workers would need to work cooperatively to implement the Molecular Business for state employees.

QUESTION: Has the Molecular Business ever been tried before?

ANSWER: Not to my knowledge as of 1999 (When this was written), but since the principles are sound, it will work because nature works and it duplicates nature.

QUESTION: If I wanted to start a Molecular Business what do I do?

ANSWER: We would need a small group of willing people in one location, some working capital and a product to manufacture or distribute that is, or will be, in public demand.

QUESTION: Will Molecular businesses compete with each other?

ANSWER: Not if they are truly Molecular. If they follow the principle of union they will cooperate, not compete the way they do today where the opponent is destroyed. All Molecular Businesses will link up and select the leadership of the whole by popular vote. The Molecular individuals and groups will compete with themselves and try to improve on what they have done in the past. Of course there may be some friendly competition for some time between individuals and groups, but negative competition will die through attrition.

QUESTION: Can a business apply just part of the Molecular principles?

ANSWER: This is a free country and the principles outlined here are for anyone to use as they wish. A person in a responsible position with a large manufacturing company once told me that if only the principle of elected leadership, as outlined here, were implemented in her company that profits would double. One of the problems that this company and many others have is incompetent leaders getting in the way of progress.

A portion of the Molecular principles wisely applied may help a business, but to really see the beauty of the program, the whole concept needs to be applied.

Note (Written in 2017) Since 1999 many companies have successfully applied portions of the ideas in the Molecular Business. Employee owned businesses are an example. As far as I know no one has applied all the principles.

QUESTION: Are there any other personal benefits from the Molecular Business you haven’t mentioned?

ANSWER: The potential benefits are without limit. For example, Molecular construction companies could link themselves to a parent Company and build homes for employees at much below the regular cost. The Company could create its own subdivision close to the workplace. This would reduce the cost of lots and add to the convenience of the employee. The Company could even help with some financing and the worker could make the down payment and buy down the interest rate through doing part of the work himself.

The Company could start a Molecular real estate investment company that builds houses and rents them at lower-than-normal rates to employees who do not wish to purchase.

Actually, the greatest benefit of the Molecular Business will be a spiritual one. The principle of equality and the principle of election are both very spiritual principles incorporated in all Brotherhoods of Light whereas on the left hand path leadership goes to the strong and those who intimidate. There is also very little equality because the leaders are exalted above the masses to almost God status and always get more than their share of the riches available.

The unequally among mankind mixed with the stifling of the freedom of choice causes blockages spiritual flow. When true equality and election is had among humans then the spiritual gifts will manifest to a much greater degree than now exists.

The past forty years have seen much progress to prepare the world for the Molecular Business through better wages for the lower end worker, profit sharing, medical benefits, vacations, sick leave, work stability, pensions and so on. We have made much more progress than people realize. Even now we are seeking ads for products that even sound spiritual in tone. We are told that Volvo, for instance, will “save your soul.” Watch a Saturn commercial and it almost sounds like they are promoting a new religion that will solve all your problems. If you listen to the products advertised and then listen to some religious ads the regular commercials often sound more spiritual, some of hem at least. This is all in preparation for the Aquarian Age because the day is soon coming when the masses will revere their company as much or more than they do their churches.

Day 81

Shutting the door

Let us start again by repeating the seed thought:

“From the centre which we call the race of men

“Let the Plan of Love and Light work out.

“And may it seal the door where evil dwells.”

The focus now is on bringing greater light to the last line which asks to “seal the door where evil dwells.”

Djwhal Khul who wrote this explained that the evil of concern here is not the standard group of evils seen by most, such as greed, pride, robbery, plunder etc. Certain abuses will be with us in some degree for some time to come. What concerned him was an evil that would affect us all by taking away our basic freedom of thought and action. This was a door opened by Hitler and his associates. If they had won the war the world would be much different and enlightened teachings would not be allowed to be circulated.

The door to this evil of suppression had to be shut and the Allied victory in World War II almost did it. Since then a number of forces in the world have pushed it partially open such as the Totalitarian threat from the old Soviet union, The present threat from North Korea and extreme Muslim factions who want to impose their will upon the world. The rising generation will have their hands full in shutting that door so freedom in the world can continue to grow and flourish into a new age of light and truth.

Even though the evil that concerned Djwhal Khul was a particularly dangerous and sinister one, like any inspired writing the interpretation can be applied on several levels. We as individuals can open a door to both good and evil into our lives. Which door we open depends on what type of food for thought we allow to enter into our mind and thinking.

If the focus is to the extreme toward material possessions then the tendency may be toward deception, unfair practices and even robbery to get what is wanted.

If the focus is on the spiritual side, such as love, wisdom and compassion then the tendency will be toward service for fellow humans.

No matter what door of evil we may have to deal with the stanza gives the key to closing the door which is “the Plan of Love and Light.”

We may not know all the ingredients of the Plan, but we do have some grasp of what love and light is. Almost all the harm that one human does to another is from a lack of love. If he could feel the pain he is inflicting on another then he just wouldn’t do it. Loving our brother as ourselves causes us to feel what it is like to be in his shoes and thus treat him civilly.

When a person harms another he does his best to remain in the dark. The thief or murderer, for instance hides his identity. If the person with harmful intentions always had all his actions exposed to the light then he would rarely do them.

Thus we see that love and light shut the door to evil so it cannot fully manifest. If all the people of goodwill did their part then neither a greater or lesser door to evil could remain open.

Now, let us move to the last line of the Great Invocation:

“Let Light and Love and power restore the Plan on Earth.”

Just think of the Plan as “peace on earth, goodwill to men” – and of course women.

Ask yourself how you can do your part and contribute to light and love? And where does power enter in and what is its source?

Affirmation: “I am linked to a source of light and love and power.”

 

Day 82

Light and Love and Power

The seed thought:

“Let Light and Love and power restore the Plan on Earth.”

Students often overlook the word “restore” in this line. If the Plan is to be restored this means that it was once here and moving forward. On the other hand, the fact that the Plan was once here does not mean that the Plan was ever consummated.

In other words, the Plan and the results or finishing of the Plan are two different things.

The Plan is like a blueprint for a house, but it is not the house. In this case if you have the plan you have the blueprint and know what to do to go forward with the creation process.

This line therefore tells us that humanity once had the correct Plan and was moving forward with it, but apparently something happened to obscure or frustrate it, maybe something that is symbolized by the fall and being cast out of the Garden of Eden.

So the work of disciples for some time has not been to implement the Plan, but to uncover it. Then when the Plan is revealed and understood real and efficient progress can be made.

Interesting thought is it not?

And consider, all this came from contemplating the one word, “restore.”

When interpreting any text the seeker must not overlook any word. Often an authority will quote a sacred text and explain it and miss a key phrase or word – as if it does not exist. Those words that are ignored by the many often come full of meaning to those who have eyes to see.

So, we want the Plan restored so we can have a lighted way and no longer be groping in the dark. What then will restore the Plan?

The answer given is Light and Love and Power. And previously we discovered that these three energies must work through humanity itself in order to make this happen.

We see that a Plan exists, but is obscured and the first step in making it visible to humanity is Light. We can’t just sit around waiting for God to send us light, but light must come from us. Each of us must do our part.

We all have some desire for more light and understanding. It is our duty to seek and expand that light until each of us is an expanding point of light. Then as the light within does expand it is our duty to share that light with others. When the light that is in humanity is great enough we will have the united vision to be able to see the Plan when it does manifest.

The second ingredient is love. If we fear the Plan of God then we will not want to see it, but if we love words of truth and have faith that we will love that which out Heavenly Parent has in store for us then both light and love will move us forward toward – seeing and understanding the Plan.

Since “God is Love” we can assume that the Plan will be interwoven with love and that loving our brother and humanity itself will do much to manifest the Plan.

The final ingredient is “Power.” What part does this play? Many there are who seek greater light and love to serve, but lack the power. The cares of the world take so much if their attention that the light and love in them almost becomes dormant.

The seeker, as well as humanity itself, must acquire enough power to free up the light and love which is essential to reveal our next step as well as attract us toward it.

Sources of power are many and none should be discounted. They include power from the soul within, power from helping hands and power from money that can free the hands of a working disciple.

That finishes the use of The Great Invocation as a source of seed thoughts. We have just skimmed the surface of what could be revealed. Each seeker should memorize this and say it regularly and as he does he should contemplate the words for additional light. You never know what your soul will reveal to you.

For today’s assignment we’ll add one more seed thought. It is a simple one but full of meaning:

“I am the Path.”

Think on this and see what comes to you.

Affirmation: “I embrace the Plan of Light and Love.”

 

Day 83

Understanding the Path

The seed thought for the day was a short one, but sometimes a few words lead to much knowledge and understanding.

“I am the Path.”

Were you able to figure out some questions to ask about this? Were you able to expand on meaning?

Perhaps the most obvious question to come up in the minds of seekers is, “What do you mean that I am the path? Isn’t the path something separate from myself that I follow?”

If this was your first question then perhaps you need to ask another question:

“What is the Path?”

Notice that the word “Path” is capitalized as are words related to Deity? Why do you suppose this is?

The answer is that the Path is a link between us and God and when clearly seen we discover that the distance between the two is illusion. In reality then there is no Path as the term is commonly understood. The Path home in a sense is not needed because the real part of ourselves has never left and we are already there.

Looking for the path is a little like being asleep and looking for a path to find your waking self. Since the dream was created by you then you would find that your very thoughts are the Path. You just follow your thoughts to the end of the dream and then you awake. The path then can be whatever you make it for when you are finished with the illusion you will merely wake.

To discover what a separation from our true home would be like we projected a fragment of ourselves into the worlds of form which are created on the principle of illusion.

Jesus said that He and God were one and told us that we should see ourselves this way also. If, therefore, the Path to God is made by God, it is also made by you. As long as we are in the world let us create wonderful path – one that leads to love, peace, joy ad happiness. That is what is at the end of the dream, and when this becomes a part of our own creation you will wake up to a higher reality.

Don’t worry if you did not get the same insights on this thought as I did for there are many to be gleamed and it is quite possible you may come up with something different, yet helpful for yourself.

We’ll do one more seed thought and then move on to other material.

“My soul, or Higher Self, is light which is reflected on to my mind. I can see it if I look.”

 

 

Day 84

The Revealing Light

Here is today’s seed thought:

“My soul, or Higher Self, is light which is reflected on to my mind. I can see it if I look.”

There are a lot of questions that you could have asked yourself around this thought. I hope you found a few and contemplated on the answers.

A key word on which to place attention here is “light.” It would be advantageous to reflect on this before going further.

When the average person thinks of light he thinks of the world around him and how it is illuminated. The most obvious light is that of the Sun which lights up the world and allows us to see the beauties of this planet we call Earth.

Until recently any significant light by night was inadequately created by a burning fire such as a candle or torch. Now in the modern era the earth is lit up at night through electrical lighting. Nighttime pictures from space reveal a tremendous amount of light on the dark side of the planet. If we had similar pictures from a couple centuries ago the night side of the planet would have been totally dark, as it was for thousands of years before electric lighting.

Light is basically that which reveals, and to reveal, contrast is needed. Before the Sun’s light reaches us it travels through 93 million miles of space in which nothing is revealed because there is no contrast until the Sun’s rays strike contrasting forms here. It is interesting to consider that an astronaut in space can look in space that is being bathed with the Sun’s rays yet he sees no light at all, but only blackness and stars.

Light does not reveal until there is something with contrast that can be revealed.

Science has discovered that the frequencies of light that are in the visible spectrum are just a small portion of what is out there.

Vibrating with a lower frequency are infrared light, microwaves, radio waves and others. At a higher frequency we have ultraviolet, X-rays and gamma rays.

The range of light belonging to the physical plane is marvelous indeed, but there are still higher types of light on higher planes.

In the higher plane wherein resides the soul is a kingdom permeated by a light of a different nature. In addition to revealing all that regular sunlight does, it stimulates understanding. Understanding increases as the light of the soul shines on the mind and is captured by the consciousness of the individual involved.

Understanding is not usually associated with light, but when reflected upon the seeker will discover that the link is very strong. When the mind receives the higher light of the soul and the consciousness pays attention understanding is greatly enhanced.

Remember light is that which reveals. When sunlight shines on an apple we may see its form. When the inner sun of the soul shines on the mind the seeker may see or understand an idea and how to apply it.

The principle of revealing is the same for the two lights; it is just that they reveal different things.

Your Higher Self is linked to still Higher Lives which are linked to God and can channel to you all the light and understanding that you are willing and able to handle.

The mind is the key to receiving the higher light and the heart is the key to fully understanding and applying what is revealed.

All these instruments are of little value if we do not look. The last words of the seed thought needs to be applied:

“I can see it (higher light) if I look.”

Your assignment today is to focus on looking within for the higher light. Review all the seed thoughts given so far at your disposal and see what additional light and understanding will come.

Tomorrow we will direct the course toward contacting your Higher Self. We will leave the seed thoughts for now but will return as needed.

Affirmation: “I AM the light by which I see.”

 

Day 85

Life Responds to Names

When we think of communion with the soul or Higher Self we normally think of receiving impressions, the still small voice or inspiration from an inner source higher than ourselves. All these methods are good and the seeker should expand upon them as much as possible. Often unrealized is that the Higher Self, at least from our point of view, is basically unlimited. There are no boundaries as to how it can communicate with us if we are willing. The only restriction is that the communication must be a two-way endeavor.

The seeker cannot just sit back and let the Higher Self do all the work. Neither will your Higher Self leave everything up to you. In the end you are one, the reflector and the reflection. All communion is cooperative.

A difference, however, between you and your Higher Self is that this higher part of yourself is much more aware of you than you are of it. Before it can respond to you, you must evoke it and call upon it.

Many do this to a degree naturally through prayer. In prayer the person calls upon God, but your Higher Self is linked to God and if potent enough will receive your prayer.

Similarly meditation can evoke response from your Higher Self.

One of the most important pieces of knowledge for the seeker to have is that there is a higher part of himself that is the intermediary between him and God and that it is happy to make contact. As mentioned earlier, there are many distractions and illusions that take away our attention from the true spirit within and place them on the gods without, but when the seeker finally looks in the right place he can indeed seek and find.

An important key to greater knowledge of your Higher Self is that it has a name and just like you respond to your name this entity responds to its name.

The assignment today is to find the name of your Higher Self and call upon it.

“And how am I supposed to do that?” asks he seeker.

The simplest way is to just ask what its name is. Those who ask who are sensitive may get an answer right away. Some will think they have the right name but really have an incorrect one. Others will just not feel sure if they are getting anything or not, How, then, can seeking the name be useful to a group if many do not retrieve the correct name?

His answer is this. The Higher Self will be pleased if you do discover and use the correct name, but is still happy to respond to you even if you get it wrong. The most important thing is to tune in to its essence and call upon it by a name that feels good to you.

Here is the process to apply. First consider that your Higher Self may have the same, or a similar name, to our own. Sometimes parents will tune in to the Higher Self of the child and use a similar name.

As you mediate, pray or contemplate think of this possibility first. If you do not get a positive response on this then ask: “My friend, myself, my link to God, who art thou and by what name do you wish to be called?”

Then sit in silence for a few moments and listen. After discerning the name to the best of your ability pick the one that feels most correct, even though you may not be sure that you are right. Pick a name and start using it, calling your Higher Self by name as if it were right next to you. As you proceed and another name comes to mind that seems better switch and use that. The important thing right now is to pick a name that feels good and begin using it. Keep the name to yourself and do not tell anyone, unless you feel impressed from within to do so.

Day 86

Settling on the Name

Some will be concerned about naming the Higher Self when they are not sure they are correct, but the important thing at this point is to pick a positive sounding name. We are taking a step, and the step involves moving forward, which is more important than being assured you are 100% correct.

So wouldn’t your Higher Self be offended and unresponsive if you called It by the wrong name?

The answer is no. To understand let me ask you this question. Have you ever had a nickname, or known someone who did? As long as the name sounded positive then using the name was no problem was it? If one has a good nickname he will respond to it just as he would his real name.

Sometimes a person will like his nickname more than his real name. “Babe” Ruth is a good example. His real name was George, but he has no problem embracing his handle.

Ronald Reagan seemed to enjoy his two nicknames of the “Gripper” and “Dutch.”

Theodore Roosevelt didn’t like the nickname “Teddy” but did like a lesser-known one of “Colonel,” so those who wanted to get on his good side used that.

During president Franklin Roosevelt’s era the initials of his name, producing the nickname FDR, became more popular than his real name.

Many pop stars embrace nicknames such as Bruce Springsteen has no problem being called, “The Boss.”

Since the higher part of yourself is less subject to taking offense than you then giving it a name will be no problem as long as the intention is positive.

So, if you have not received a name and do not want to use your own what should you call the Higher Self? There are a lot of possibilities. You could call it Jesus or Christ, or Jesus Christ since it shares in the Christ consciousness. In fact many revelations where seekers feel they encounter Jesus are merely encounters with the Higher Self. If you are into Eastern religions you could pick Buddha, Zoroaster, Krishna or some other hallowed name.

On the other hand, you could pick a common name such as Tom or Bill, or Mary or Susan if the female side is preferred.

You can even use something descriptive that is not normally a name such as, “Holy One,” “Beloved,” or “Holy Spirit.”

Any name will work as long as you see the name in a positive light.

The important thing is to pick a name and start using it with the realization that this represents a higher part of yourself, which is linked to Christ, which is linked to God. This is your personal Christ who is willing to assist you in creating miracles in your life.

So, if you have not yet picked a name do so now and remember you can change your mind later if a better one comes along, or if the true name is revealed to you. Do not change the name without good reason, as the thought you will be placing on it is cumulative and an important reservoir of energy.

Your assignment today is that once you have settled on a name to repeat it approximately one hundred times over the next day. Each time you say it visualize a master soul hearing it and responding. You can repeat it in a whisper or out loud while you are walking, driving, sitting at your desk, watching TV etc. Making this many repetitions should be easy. Visualizing getting the attention of our Higher Self will be the biggest challenge. At the end of the day, after you have finished the repetitions, say the name one more time with the greatest expectation possible. Sit back, relax and listen for this answer: “What do you wish of me?”

Affirmation: “A great soul is waiting for my call.”

 

Day 87

Completion

Did you say the name 100 times during the last day? Unless you are one of the few, probably not. If not, you have by no means failed, but merely not completed the assignment. Continue to say the name over and over until it feels like you have done it 100 times. Do not keep any actual record of the count as that would merely distract.

During this coming day attempt to be more diligent and remind yourself about the name and be sure to sense and anticipate an inward response.

If you have finished the assignment as specified continue contemplating the name, but without the repetition. Just think on the name and attempt to feel the presence.

Your assignment today is an extension of yesterday’s. We want to take this step before proceeding.

Affirmation: “I have sought and will seek again until I find.”

 

Day 88

Energy Follows Thought

How are you doing on the name? Have you gotten to around a hundred yet? Does the name you are using feel right or does another name that came to your mind feel better? If so, go with the one that settles best with your own inner feelings.

When you settle on a name you’ll know when you have said it enough times. If you haven’t repeated the call enough yet, go ahead and continue during the next few days. In the meantime go ahead and move forward to this new lesson.

Settling on a name for your Higher Self and calling on It with an expectation of response is a solid and bold step to take. It shows that you have faith that there is some type of higher intelligence connected to you that is capable of response.

As you continue working on this link we will take the course to its next level.

So far you have been attempting to use your higher feelings to sense the presence of your Higher Self. This you should be doing whenever you think of it or call out Its name.

Next we must add vision to the equation. The problem the seeker faces is that just as he may not have known for sure the name of his Higher Self he may have no idea what it looks like.

Just as you did not know for sure what name to use, you probably do not know what to envision when selecting an image. That doesn’t matter and this is where the power of your imagination comes into play. There is an eternal principle which tells us that “energy follows thought.” If you therefore imagine with enough intensity a form that represents your Higher Self the energy you place in that form can draw your actual Higher Self to it. The key is to make the image a positive representation, just as you tried to pick a good sounding name.

For the image you can choose a benevolent elderly man with a beard – as many imagine God to be, an image that looks like Jesus, some ancient sage, a benevolent and beautiful female or even an historical figure you admire such as Abraham Lincoln. You can even pick an image of yourself – after all, we are taking about a higher part of you. A final way to make the choice is to meditate on what the image should be and see what comes to your mind. If an image comes and it feels right then go ahead and use it, even if it is a ball of light.

Reflect and come up with a picture in your mind that represents your Higher Self. Now sit back in your chair and imagine that it is standing several feet in front of you. Imagine that you can see It with your eyes open or shut.

Now call It by name and imagine that He or She recognizes the name, smiles and is willing to respond.

Call out the name several more times and imagine that it makes a connection with you that allows you to sense Its thoughts and feel Its love.

This is as far as we will go today. See your Higher Self, call to It and feel It giving you a response. Repeat this as often as you have time.

Affirmation: “I look and thus I see. I am open and I receive.”

 

Day 89

Today I ask questions.

So, did you make a connection with your Higher Self? Were you able to visualize It? Did you sense Its love and acceptance of you?

If the visualization was not clear do not be concerned. Some people are better visualizers than others. We all develop various skills where we place attention. The important thing is that you sense the higher presence. If you have difficulty visualizing a human form perhaps seeing a burning bush as did Moses would be easier.

There is much more power in thought than is realized. Your presence here in a physical body was made possible by thought. The thought from your own soul in cooperation with other lives helped prepare your body that you currently use.

By visualizing, or even sensing the presence of your Higher Self you are following the same basic process as have all creators before you. The only difference is you are at beginning in the learning of this process while others in the unseen world are master craftsmen.

If you will imagine a presence not far in front of you who is willing and able to communicate with you, then you are applying the beginning steps in the creative process and can actually create a vehicle of manifestation for your Higher Self.

Each time you see or sense your Higher Self near to you, you are sending a charge of energy by the very power of your thought. Each charge is a building block that can create a usable vehicle that can be of service to your Higher Self. You will most likely not put all the blocks together in one or two lessons. You must realize that this is just the beginning. You will want to practice this process for the rest of your life. If you are diligent you will be rewarded with the presence of your best friend, a higher and more perfected version of yourself.

Your assignment today is to visualize and sense the presence of your Higher Self and ask it a couple question as follows:

(1) Have I lived up to your expectations in this life?

(2) In what areas do I need to improve?

(3) What am I supposed to do with the rest of my life?

Ask these questions with a sincere heart knowing that the Higher Self is here to help you and does not condemn you, but accepts where you are in the struggle of life. Expect an answer. The stronger the expectation the more likely it is that you will receive.

Affirmation: “I create as did the creators before me.”

 

Day 90

Listening for Answers

How did you do with the questions that you asked of your Higher Self? Did you receive any answers?

A handful will receive answers that seem clear to them. Most will not be sure, but if it seems you received no response do not discount your endeavor so quickly. You may have received more than you realize. After all, communication with the realm of the Spirit is much different than person to person on the earth.

The first question was: “Have I lived up to your (the Higher Self’s) expectations in this life?”

Now you can’t tell me that nothing came. When you asked the question some type of impression came to you. The chances are you thought that it was all from you and not your Higher Self. You must remember that you and your Higher Self are one. The only difference is that you are a fragment in an illusionary dream state and the Higher Self is an awake version of you. Therefore, that impression that came to you when you asked the question may not be that far off.

Because we are usually our own strongest critic you may have at first felt that you are not living up to all that was expected of you. Then, when you thought about it, some of the things you have done right probably crossed your mind. It is indeed true that all of us have had successes and failures. It is good to reflect on life in connection with the highest of spiritual intelligence you can access. Upon reflection you are likely to receive helpful impressions from your Higher Self that will improve your life.

The second question reads: “In what areas do I need to improve?”

To this all kinds of things may have run through your mind and you probably thought they all came from you and you alone. On the other hand, one of those things stood out more than others. This was most likely an impression from your Higher Self.

You might want to ask this question again and observe all that comes and take note of the one where you receive the strongest impression and think on it further.

Now for the third question: “What am I supposed to do with the rest of my life?”

A few are satisfied with an answer to this question, but many are not. Many are not sure if they are headed the right direction and would appreciate some guidance on this. Many have prayed to God about this and still are not sure. Similarly, many who will ask his of their Higher Self for the first time will feel that they have not gotten a clear answer.

Perhaps those who feel they did not get an answer missed the obvious one that came in the form of a question: “What do you want to do?”

Find something you enjoy doing, preferably something that will benefit others and do it. As you go through this process you will sense when you are headed the right direction. All of us have an internal compass and if we pay attention to it our life will head in the right direction.

Follow the highest you know and the time will come that you will receive a recognizable confirmation from your Higher Self. It will most likely come in an impression or strong feeling that you are headed the right direction.

Working with your Higher Self and seeking communion with It will be a life long endeavor. These lessons pointing you in this direction are merely the beginning and far from the end. Visualize, or imagine the presence of your Higher Self regularly and take note of your increased sensitivity as it comes.

Your assignment today is to again visualize or imagine the presence of your Higher Self and formulate a couple questions on your own. Keep experimenting with imagining the presence and communicating with it. You will find that energy follows thought and turns the imagined into the real.

Affirmation: “I create that which I imagine.”

Project Peace and Goodwill

Project Peace and Goodwill Part 1

Introduction

“Project Peace and Goodwill is a ship with not one Columbus, but many. With such power none can stop it from sailing over that ocean called ‘Impossible’.”

Perhaps the above quote from this following treatise sets the tone of its purpose more than anything else. Indeed Project Peace and Goodwill sets out to accomplish the seemingly impossible. Its goal is to rid the world of all nuclear arms and war itself, eventually bringing a perpetual peace on earth.

More fascinating still is the fact that herein is at last presented a solid, intelligent and workable plan that will fire the hearts and minds of humanity with vision and belief that the words: PEACE ON EARTH, GOODWILL TO MANKIND will finally become a reality.

Is there a better time to present such a plan than the beginning of a new millennium? Mankind certainly needs a candle of hope that this next thousand years will not yield a nuclear winter, but will hold for us sunny skies, green pastures and children with wonder in their eyes looking forward to a brighter and brighter future.

THE UNIVERSAL THREAT

The great heart of humanity trembles more at this one thought than any other: NUCLEAR WAR – AND THE DESOLATION THAT WOULD FOLLOW. Never before has nature or even man himself placed before him such an ominous threat that pierces him to the center and makes him quake with fear for himself and future generations.

In the past man has bravely faced his enemies, his cruel dictators, wars, persecutors, conquistadors, wild animals, savages, hurricanes, floods, and even the violent shakings of the Earth, but until now he has never faced an enemy so overwhelming as that created by the collective mind of humanity when the power of the atom was unleashed. This new enemy is wielded by both friend and foe – both are to be feared and neither trusted.

Mankind now has such great power in his hands that one fears that his own countrymen in a weak or accidental moment may detonate the bomb that will lead to the destruction of the entire world, and there would be no men or history books left to record the greatest blunder of all time.

The real enemy here is not an opposing tribe, nation, people, or even an ideology, but man himself, and wherever there is a person who has power to detonate a nuclear bomb, there we have the potential slayer of mankind – one like ourselves who simply made a mistake: A mistake so grave that we want to hide our heads in the sand and not think about it.

On the other hand, the person who presses the doomsday button is not the one to be held responsible for the destruction of civilization. We are. If parents allow a child to play with a stick of dynamite, and he lights the fuse and blows them up -who is responsible? Certainly not the child, but the parents who should know better.

If you and I allow another person in an insane moment to blow us off the face of the Earth with nuclear or other weapons, similarly, he is not the one to be held responsible. Instead, it is those who know better: general humanity – you and I.

Many parents cry about the mistakes of their children and blame the little ones for their misfortunes, but it is no more ridiculous for humanity, the parents of government, to cry over the possibility of their leaders destroying them, than it is for parents to cry over their children because they have made mistakes through lack of discipline.

You and I, common ordinary people, are the ones who have the supreme power and responsibility, and we must now awake to the fact that we can, will, and must subject the leaders of the nations to discipline so they will lay down their terrible toys, and cease their childish threatenings of desolation, and follow the peaceful way.

From the heart of humanity comes the Plan for Peace – a physical peace that will also lead to an inner peace of mind. Imagine how much better the parents of the world will feel knowing that their children will surely grow to maturity and face a life full of opportunities, a life that will not be cut short by an insane atomic war!

The Plan must not be identified with a political party, else the opposition, in their pride, will oppose it. Neither must it be identified with a religion, race, creed, or nation. Indeed, it must come from the midst of common people: neither the famous, nor wealthy, nor powerful, but a true representation of humanity itself. Only thus initiated can the Plan have the necessary power and momentum to synthesize the people and consummate the great words which are the hope of the world: PEACE ON EARTH; GOODWILL TO MEN.

Project Peace and Goodwill is thus initiated to achieve this very end, which end must be reached by humanity itself through the use of its own freewill. We recognize that no outside power will force man to live in peace, but he must make that decision for himself.

We believe that humanity has come of age and the majority of people want the nations of the world to lay down their desolating weapons and never take them up again. Many there are who deeply desire to trust their fellow men and live their lives without fear – for nations must learn to tolerate each other, make compromises, and spread goodwill, just as a men and women must deal peacefully with their neighbors.

Most individual human beings have become mature enough so they have no desire to store explosives in their basements for possible use against their neighbors. It is time that the nations as a whole rise to the level of the common man and with one accord covenant to make harmless their weapons of desolation and never seek to again threaten the destruction of humanity.

Project Peace and Goodwill is to be the most cosmopolitan group ever established for its goal reaches into the hearts of men in every nation: PEACE ON EARTH, GOODWILL TO MEN. Who would want to argue with it or fight against such a lofty ideal? The words sound good and strike a chord in even the basest of mankind. Indeed, it would be criminal for anyone to lift a finger to discourage such a project. Nevertheless, there will be many who will arise with objections.

Some of the objections to be expected are:

(1) Such a goal is impossible and can never be accomplished. The leaders of the nations are too corrupt.

(2) Only God can bring peace on the Earth and cause men to lay down their arms.

(3) The world is doomed to destruction by God and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

We will briefly counter these three objections.

Objection One: There are always those laggards who claim that progress is impossible. They heckled Columbus, the Wright Brothers, Edison, and every other visionary thinker who ever walked the globe. Their watchword has always been: “Impossible”. It’s as if their sole purpose is to try and discourage those few who would work to benefit humanity.

“Impossible”, said Napoleon, “That is not good French!” Another named Napoleon Hill said: “That which the mind of man can conceive and believe – it can achieve.”

Peace on Earth and Goodwill to Men has been conceived, and it is believed by many, so there is no reason why it cannot be achieved.

Disarmament and peace become possible when men believe they are possible, not before and not later. The truth is that mankind tries to limit itself to the eternal hostile atmosphere of the beast. Instead he should set his limitless vision on the peaceful horizons and proceed. Project Peace and Goodwill now sets that vision and men everywhere are called to set their sights on it and accept the possibility so the only barrier – man’s limited thinking – can be removed.

Project Peace and Goodwill is a ship with not one Columbus, but many. With such power none can stop it from sailing over that ocean called “Impossible”.

Objection Two: Many sincerely religious people adhere to objection number two: that only supernatural interference can bring peace on the Earth. Project Peace and Goodwill is not a religious organization and makes no pronouncements about God, for both believers and nonbelievers must work together in the light of reason to accomplish its great goals. We will, however, point out that there are many who have an unrealistic dependency upon the supernatural that is not supported in any of the world scriptures.

For instance there were many near the beginning of World War II who believed the Allies should not fight Hitler that God would take care of him. It wasn’t long before the pacifists in England woke up to the fact that they and their countrymen must immediately ACT or live under the power of the ruthless dictator, and that God was not going to do for them what they had to do for themselves

It should be obvious to believers and nonbelievers alike that the responsibility for peace rests upon man alone for the only way God or anyone else could cause mankind to live in peace when he is not ready is to play the role of a ruthless dictator, take man’s freewill away, and force him to do right. History does not record any such event happening nor do we expect any Divine interference that destroys the freewill of man.

The third common objection or problem is that there are many who believe unalterably in a doomsday. Many there are who believe the world will soon end and there is nothing anyone can do about it, but accept it. About once a year from time immemorial a significant new group has arisen preaching the end of the world and setting a date. Periodically the newspapers record how the groups sell all their belongings and retire to some designated place where they alone will be saved from the end of the world. Without exception each of these groups has been sadly disappointed.

Nevertheless, a doomsday is possible now we are in the nuclear age, but it is only a possibility and it can be avoided by the thoughtful will of humanity. Indeed it is something that MUST be avoided at all costs.

If an all out nuclear war were to occur about the best we could look forward to would be the preservation of some human life. If some were to survive these would undoubtedly revert to tribal living and civilization could be set back a thousand years or more.

Doomsday does not have to happen. If humanity accepts the goals of Project Peace and Goodwill then the great holocaust will be proven to be a mere madman’s dream and future generations will look upon this point in time as a great turning point for the human family.

 

Project Peace and Goodwill Part II

MEMBERSHIP

To prevent a doomsday from ever materializing we are issuing the DECLARATION OF PEACE AND GOODWILL. This Declaration will be sent to all the nations of the world with the hope that they will endorse it and abide by its covenants. All people are invited to join Project Peace and Goodwill In this great endeavor.

Things that are not required for membership are as follows:

(1) First, a person is not required to support any particular creed, philosophy, or religion.

(2) One is not required to leave any religious or group affiliation.

(3) One is allowed to disagree with group ideas and still actively cooperate in areas of agreement.

(4) Membership is not to be denied because of race, sex, or belief, but is opened to all men and women.

Members should support the following objectives:

(1) The member (or supporter) should have a strong personal desire to see an actual and permanent peace and disarmament established through the freewill of man. However, the member should not be willing to sacrifice freedom and liberty for peace. A forced peace is not peace at all and is not caused by a uniting of the hearts and minds, for when the force is released the physical peace ends. Only through the uniting of the hearts and minds of men through freewill can a true and lasting peace be established.

(2) The member should support the principle of Goodwill, or right thinking toward all mankind. All mankind are to be looked upon as brothers and sisters no matter what their nationality, race, or ideology. In both belief and deed one should work toward establishing right relationships with his immediate associates, with his family on up, always trying to release the energy of love and treat all with consideration and justice. He should be willing to do unto others as he would have others do unto him.

(3) He should support the principle of freedom and liberty for himself and all men and not be willing to sacrifice it at any cost. Man must be free to express himself without fear and to pursue happiness in any way that does not harm others.

(4) He should recognize that first aggression is the destroyer of peace and work toward its cessation. The nation, group, or individual who takes the first aggressive step is ALWAYS wrong. There is no exception in history. Napoleon was misdirected in his aggression. Hitler was wrong when he invaded Poland, and all present day first aggressions are terrible sins against humanity.

IF THERE WERE NO FIRST AGGRESSION, THERE WOULD NOT BE A SECOND. Let this statement be engraved in the hearts and minds of the Peacekeepers throughout the world until it becomes the watchword of human peace.

All Peacemakers must be completely unbiased, especially concerning their particular religious and political beliefs. If one believes that Israel is God’s chosen land, for instance, he still must not support a first strike by them. If he is a great believer in the Koran he must be able to decry an aggressive act by the Arabs. If a peacemaker is a member of the Communist party he must not support a move by his mother country to forcefully expand her dominion. And if one is an American he must not close his eyes to American first aggression. National and religious fixations must be put aside if world peace is to become a reality.

All Peacemakers must realize that aggression is aggression whether it be initiated by an enemy, or his favorite prophet, priest, or king. If the German people would have realized during World War II that their real enemy was not the Allies, but their beloved Hitler, the great war of the ages would have never been. The Third World War will never be if we can make hindsight our foresight and be willing to stand up and condemn aggression for what it really is.

In current feuds the initiator can usually be traced and pointed out. All new aggression in such cases should be decried. Nothing embarrasses a leader or dictator more than to have public opinion, or world opinion turn against him. If the Peacemakers can turn public opinion against an aggressor it is a major step toward subduing him.

(5) The member should support, not a reduction, not a freeze, but complete ELIMINATION of all arms and weapons that have the potential of destroying life on this planet. Conventional weapons could also be limited and armies reduced in size. This would save the nations untold billions. The money could then be spent on projects that will benefit mankind. The problem of turning this into a reality is that each nation wants the other nation(s) to make the larger step in reduction so that it can maintain a military advantage. Project Peace and Goodwill should play the watchdog and point out to the public who it is that is preventing wise action on this matter.

Disarmament is not complicated. It is so simple a child can understand it. Securing cooperation and trust among the nations, however, is the complicated part. Only a strong public opinion generated by a united organization such as Project Peace and Goodwill can shame the nations into laying down their arms. Too many leaders like to rattle their irons and push buttons. The total solution cannot be left up to them. It must be taken on by humanity itself, ordinary people like you and I. When humanity raises its voice loud enough, the leaders of the nations will listen – and respond.

Imagine a world where there is no threat of nuclear biological destruction. Would not one feel better about bringing children into the world knowing that they will actually live to become adults and be able to pursue health and happiness? Think long and hard on what a difference this will make, for such a massed human thought on such a wonderful idea will help to make it a reality.

Disarmament should never be undertaken unilaterally or on any unreasonable grounds. Those who thoughtlessly promulgated a one sided disarmament of the Allies in the thirties paved the way for the unchecked rise of Hitler. Then too, if they had not woke up at the last moment and armed themselves to meet the challenge we may very well be living under a Nazi government today. Common sense must always rule. Those who would support a one sided disarmament are living in a world of illusion. Nevertheless, it must enter into the consciousness of the human family that a complete nuclear and biological disarmament and world peace are attainable.

The main hindrance to world peace is that there are few who believe it is currently possible. The common man desires world peace and nuclear disarmament, but he must believe in it for it to be achieved.

THE PURPOSE OF PROJECT PEACE AND GOODWILL

Project Peace and Goodwill has three main purposes:

First, it is to instill in the minds of average humanity the idea that disarmament and peace are a real possibility and not the mere dream of a visionary. Many people will gladly accept it if it is presented to them correctly. This will be a major accomplishment, for peace cannot occur unless there is first a belief in peace.

Second, Project Peace and Goodwill will monitor present efforts toward disarmament and peace and give encouragement in the right direction. It will keep the public informed of progress and make suggested future steps that can be taken.

Third, it presents a logical Plan for nuclear disarmament and peace between the nations. After this is accepted then disarmament of conventional weapons will also be undertaken.

In the end of this treatise the reader will find an outline of the Plan which is called THE DECLARATION OF PEACE AND GOODWILL. Project Peace and Goodwill will promulgate this Declaration throughout the world until it, or something very similar to it is accepted.

We believe this Declaration is the most important document in the history of man for it pertains to the very survival of our species.

If a nuclear war were to break out one of two things would happen:

(1) Mankind would become completely extinct.

(2) Mankind would become almost extinct and the few that would be left would revert to tribal living. Civilization could take a long period of time to get back to the point where we are now.

The salvation of mankind from either of these fates would make The Declaration of Peace and Goodwill the most important document in history.

Fate number one is particularly dreadful to think about. This would be a blunder without historical parallel. Man has made many mistakes in his history, but each one has been correctable. If a kingdom or the entire world has fallen into the wrong hands the progress of man may be hindered a generation or two, but sooner or later man sees his mistake, becomes wiser than before, and sets himself on a cycle of greater advancement. Such would and could not be the case with a total destruction of humanity. It would be a mistake beyond repair from our finite viewpoint.

Let us contemplate such a tragic event just long enough to wake us from our sleep and then shift our attention to the fact (and we must make it a fact) that mankind will solve the problems that face him and peacefully enter a future more glorious than the race has ever enjoyed before.

 

Project Peace Part III

HOW THE PLAN WILL BE ACCEPTED

The main question in people’s minds will be as to how The Declaration of Peace and Goodwill will be accepted. Most will think that it sounds good, but that the leaders of the world are too stubborn to accept it. This is true. If we did nothing more than present the Plan to world leaders we may be assured that nothing would happen.

Fortunately, there is a greater power in the world than government and its leaders, and that is those people who create and support the government -common people like you and I. The average person may not be aware of it, but the general public is the most powerful force in the world. Public opinion is the master, of all world leaders. It can place them in power, but it can just as quickly remove them.

“But,” says one, “That may be true in a free country, but not in a totalitarian regime.”

The man who thinks thus is mistaken. Public opinion is the master in all nations among all peoples. Even Hitler, the archenemy of mankind, realized this. He knew that the only way he could stay in power and achieve his aims was to manipulate public opinion so it would be on his side. He carefully controlled all the media, political, and religious leaders with this end in view, and when he started World War II by invading Poland the Germans were convinced that they were merely defending their honor. Hitler lied to them and told them that Poland had committed the first act of aggression. If the general public had known the truth World War II would have never been because public opinion would not have allowed it.

The war in the Falklands between Britain and Argentina illustrates the power of indoctrination in molding public opinion, but more importantly, the power of public opinion over a dictatorship.

On the Argentina side, public opinion was directed in favor of repossessing the Falklands through teaching the people from their first history classes in school that the islands were a part of Argentina, and that Britain had an unlawful possession of them. Thus when the military dictator, Leopold Galtieri, ordered the invasion of the Falklands the people supported the idea of getting back that which they thought was stolen from them. Public opinion was roused further by glorious promises of victory.

After the war began the dictatorship saw that they must keep public opinion on their side so they told many lies to the people through their controlled media. If Britain would shoot down six planes they would say they lost one and if Argentina would sink one British ship they would report three. If they had to retreat because of superior British forces the dictatorship would tell the people they were consolidating forces to strike a master blow. The people were greatly deceived and supported the war up to the last moment.

Finally, the moment of truth came. The British gained the victory and it became clear as crystal to the people that they had been deceived and they felt like fools. Public opinion rose with one voice against Galtieri, a totalitarian dictator, and he was out of office in several days.

The common people are the masters of the world. History records that they are; presidents and priests obey them, and kings and dictators fear them. If the common people can bask in the light of truth there would always be progress toward peace. If the Argentines were taught the history of the Falklands in their true perspective they would not have made the first aggressive act. They may then look upon the Falklands in a similar light as the French look upon Louisiana that Napoleon illegally sold to America, or as Mexico does Texas which was lost to the U.S.

If the people are presented the truth in a way that they can understand they will generally make the right decision, and that decision, be it good or evil, is all powerful. All repressive governments could be overthrown in a day if the people so willed it. The common man must awake to the power he has so he can use it intelligently.

Another good example of this power was the resignation of Richard Nixon. He was a man with perhaps as great of an attachment to leadership and power as can be found; yet he stepped down. Why? Not because he felt guilty over Watergate, not because he was impeached, but because public opinion demanded it. He would have faced a life in chains or even risked his life to retain control if the public had supported him, but they did not. His Master spoke and he obeyed.

On the other hand, President Clinton faced a similar ordeal and was smart enough to focus all of his efforts, not on defending himself, but on manipulating public opinion in his favor. It was only because a high percentage of the public supported him that allowed him to remain in office.

Then when public opinion was directed against Ken Starr, even though he was no worse than most other prosecutors, his power to even use the law against Clinton was neutralized.

If public opinion can strip proud men of their power, and control the rise and fall of world leaders, could it not accomplish the simpler feat of influencing presidents and leaders to endorse the Declaration of Peace and Goodwill? After all, such endorsement may place them in the honor roles of history. They should be happy to follow their Master (the people) on this important item.

The one per cent property tax initiative that started in California some years ago is a good example of the constructive power of public opinion. Few of the leaders or candidates liked the idea and frowned upon it, but their Master, the people, thought otherwise and supported it.

Leaders and candidates then switched positions and decided it was good after all, and it became the law of the state because the people were enlightened and educated on the subject and THEY WILLED IT TO BE AND IT WAS SO.

Even so must the peace loving people of the entire planet combine their energies to put THE DECLARATION OF PEACE AND GOODWILL in effect throughout the length and width of the Earth. Let our minds be filled with the all-consuming thought. “It can be done … It must be done … It will be done.”

HOW TO AROUSE PUBLIC OPINION

This may sound well and good to a potential Peacemaker, but he may wonder how it is that we are to arouse public opinion for the cause of peace. After all, it has never been done before on a practical level.

This is a reasonable question for we must admit that public opinion will not establish peace without some direction, for without intelligent direction we have the blind leading the blind

The first and most important step is that a definite Plan with a plausible solution be developed to present to the public. Without a definite Plan all the marching and demonstrations in the world will have little effect, for the leaders of the nations (as thoughtless as they seem at times) are intelligent enough not to pursue blind action and merely hope for the best. They also need an intelligent Plan to work with.

Such a Plan has been written – THE DECLARATION OF PEACE AND GOODWILL – and is included in this treatise for consideration.

The second stage in the implementation of the Plan is to place it before the most powerful force in the world – the people. One may think it should be first given to the heads of state but if that was all we did and let it go at that it would die on the vine. The leaders of the world (most of them) would not want to present it unless they can receive the glory of it being their plan, and if they did this their political opponents would not support them for it would make the opposing party look too good.

Nevertheless, world leaders should be presented the plan along with everyone else and endorsements on both sides of the political spectrum should be sought.

It is, however, of prime importance to present it to the people and rouse public opinion in its favor. Then when the leaders see that their Master – the people – want it, they will have to obey.

The first step in gaining the interest of the people will be to distribute this writing as far and as wide as possible. For those groups who express interest, Project Peace and Goodwill, after it is an established organization, will provide speakers. When a group of people in a certain locality show interest, they can hold meetings and study different aspects of the Plan. The groups interested can then hold fund raising drives and door-to-door campaigns to enlighten the people and get their written endorsement of the Plan. At least twenty million signatures could be acquired in the United States alone.

After the public learns about the Plan and its feasibility, and some belief in its implementation is instilled in the public consciousness, Step Three will be initiated. The people who are the masters of their fate will use their influence to get it endorsed by their City, State and finally the Federal government. They will influence their leaders with e-mails, phone calls, letters, personal contact, and the power of their vote. When the leaders see this is what the people want, then they will give it to them.

The people must merely show their leaders with one voice that they want the Plan implemented. It is as simple as that.

Project Peace and Goodwill will do what they can to coordinate the efforts of the people so they will be effectively heard. They will also use funds available for a media blitz to enlighten all people of the Plan and generate public support. Television, newspapers, radio, brochures, bumper stickers etc will all be used. This, of course, will take a good deal of money, but it can be raised. This is the type of project people will be willing to donate to as long as they know how their money is being spent. It will take millions, perhaps billions to consummate this effort, but when the army of volunteers surfaces, the needed amount will become available.

The Molecular Business, Part VII

Employee Benefits

There are two points here that will need some clarification:

1 How is the take home wage and stock allocation decided?

2 Workers need monetary incentives to make them perform. How is this taken care of?

THE TAKE HOME WAGE
All employees in the Molecular Business have some hand in determining their wages. No facet, operation or financial matter will be hidden from them. Meetings will be held periodically to present to all employees recent financial, production and sales information. It is at meetings such as these that proposed changes in wages will be presented.

Wage increases or any other major change will evolve in the following manner: The President of the Company will study and receive counsel on the financial strength of the Company as to whether it could support a raise in employees’ salaries. All financial detail is available to all employees, so he will also be receiving feedback through executives and workers about the popular opinion of the employees concerning an increase.

The President and the Board of Directors will generally meet once a month and the possibility of a wage change will be tossed around there. Here he will receive counsel from the board. When the time is right, the President will make a proposal on a wage adjustment (either up or down) and call for a vote.

If the proposal is not passed by a two-thirds majority of the Board, then the President can make a second proposal and another vote will be taken. The President can keep presenting alternatives until two-thirds of the board reaches agreement. If they are unable to reach agreement, then no change in wages will be created.

If the President’s choice is passed by a two-thirds majority, then that decision will be presented for popular vote along with a written proposal that all employees will receive outlining the wisdom of the motion. The employees will then vote on the matter, and if a majority approve then the proposal goes into effect. If it is not approved then there will be no change until another, more acceptable proposal, passes through the Board to receive approval of the employees.

This procedure is the same for all major company wide policy changes.

The second method of paying employees is through stock. Everyone will receive the same cash wage but employees will receive different amounts of stock according to their position in the company. For example, the ground level employee may receive a set cash wage plus a 25% additional value in stock. (Not a fixed amount) The first level manager may receive the same cash wage plus 50% additional. The second level manager may receive a wage plus 75% additional and so on up. The amount of stock given for each position will be determined by the voting procedure mentioned above.

The payment in stock will be allocated in such a way that it can only be redeemed for the following reasons:

1. Retirement.

2. Payment of child support

3. Resignation or firing.

4. A donation to a non-profit organization.

5. A financial crisis.

6. Seed money for the employee to start a business of his own which will be linked with the original Company.

This has a multi-fold beneficial effect. First it provides a great avenue of security for the employee. Instead of retiring in poverty, he will retire with more abundance than he has ever had.

Next it will give employees incentive to pay their child support and not detract from their take-home pay. Currently, child support is a great hardship and sacrifice for the person who has to support two families.

If the person quits, or gets fired, he has a right to cash in his stock. Many, however, may want to leave the investment in the Company, even after quitting, if the Company is growing.

To avoid the problem of an employee quitting, cashing in his stock, then being rehired, an employee cannot be rehired for a period of two years after he has taken his stock.

The fourth point will increase donations to charitable causes and is also tax-deductible.

The stock can also be used as a cushion to help in a financial crisis. The Molecular Business will maintain a good benefit program in case of ill health and accident, (and also support alternative and preventative health care). You never know when some unexpected financial demand may come up. Therefore, the Company shall set up an emergency procedure whereby the employee may petition to receive his stock or a loan against his stock.

The sixth, and one of the greatest benefits, of the stock program is the power to use it to become an entrepreneur. In the world today there are many who dream of owning their own business, but never seem to have the working capital to do so. The power to start a business that requires some capital seems to be dished out somewhat randomly. There are a few strong-willed individuals who have managed to get the backing and savings to do it by themselves, but most have help from parents, relatives or friends with money. How about the person who has ambition, but no friends with money and is in a no-win situation as to saving money?

The Molecular Business is the great equalizer in this case. It provides an avenue whereby all people can set aside a nest-egg so when the time comes, they can exercise their power to initiate.

Any time the employee has a feasible plan to start a business he can cash in his stock to finance it. He can either do this himself or with partners. Furthermore, if the plan looks good and financial circumstances permit, the parent Company may even loan him the additional money he needs to finance his enterprise.

Why will it do this?

Because anything initiated with money from Company stock or funds is linked to the parent Molecular Business and is to be operated under the same Molecular principles as the original Company.

The person who initiated the branch business is the rightful heir to the presidency of the Company until such time as he withdraws by his own free will or pressure from the company because of bad deci8sions. This usually will not happen, however, as the initiate of a successful company generally sees the vision of company goals with the clearest sight and is the best one to run it.

The stock and wages paid in the branch company will be determined independently and may be different than the parent company. The reason for this is that it may make a greater or lesser profit than the originating Company. Nevertheless, it will operate on the same principles as the parent Company and everyone’s take-home wages will be the same.

When the Molecular Business proves itself successful in principle many branch companies will be established and many faltering companies will turn Molecular. Each of these will be independent, yet linked in hierarchical formation to the Parent Company. The eventual goal will be to equalize the take-home wages so all are the same in standard-of-living value, and the end goal of that equality is abundance for all.

The reason we have put so much emphasis on the stock program is that this is one of the crucial points in making the Molecular Business successful. The sale of stock is one of the prime methods of producing working capital, and no business can succeed without it. Setting up this program where all surplus employee funds are placed in a stock program will give the business even more than working capital. It will give it expansion capital and power to assist its workers to make their own dreams a reality by starting their own business which shall be linked to all other Molecular companies.

The average person does not realize the power this will give a business to succeed and also compete with all other businesses, foreign and domestic.

Often when a company is short of funds, it will borrow at a high rate of interest, (sometimes up to 18% with company assets at risk as collateral). Not only are the company’s assets at stake, but the interest must be paid back… every dollar paid on interest is a dollar that cannot be used to benefit employees.

Thus we can see that this stock program will allow us to start the most financially potent company in history, but it is not to be feared as some fear large corporations today. The Molecular Business does not have great benefits paid out to the few, for all are owners. It is for the benefit of the common person. The Molecular Business is not to be feared unless common people with financial freedom are to be feared.

I’ve always liked Abraham Lincoln’s statement: “God must have loved the common people, he created so many of them.”

EMPLOYEE INCENTIVES

One of the biggest objections to the whole Molecular Business concept is the fear that the employees will have little incentive to perform. Since all are receiving the same wage, one may ask, then why would anyone want to work extra hard to get ahead?

This is a good question, and one of the best ways to see the answer is to go back to the Parable on the Body after it became sick. To the cells that were hoarding, it seemed like suicide to go back to the sharing principle. At the time it seemed to them as if the only motivation left in life was to get ahead. As the parable illustrates, this is true as long as we are placed in a situation where the keynote is: “Each man for himself.”

When this is the keynote of a people, then an individual sacrifice will often accomplish nothing. It takes a group endeavor, as illustrated by the cells, to prove the Molecular Principle.

When the Molecular Principle is in operation there is plenty of incentive, as illustrated by the cells in the Body when it became well and is illustrated by the cells in our own bodies everyday. If we disagree we are saying that we, as greater lives, are not capable of the same degree of cooperation as the lesser lives within us. If we think this we are deceived. We, as greater lives, are capable of even greater unity. Our problem is that we are in the embryonic stage of producing it. Sooner or later the ideal is always reached. Let us not give up striving toward it.

There are a number of incentives to enhance employee production that can exist in the Molecular Business.

First there is a monetary incentive. Even though everyone receives the same take-home wage, there is still quite a bit of incentive here. For starters, there will be greater monetary security here and full-time employment. Feeling sure you will have a job tomorrow means a lot and has great financial value. An unemployment period of six months can wipe out years of savings if purchases are repossessed.

The second incentive is the stock payments. Here, payments are dependent on the importance of your job. We have already discussed how this can be used, so we can see that this will be an incentive to the employee to take responsibility and will greatly add to his future security. Many will see the stock payments as more of an incentive than cash if the company is growing.

The third incentive is the actual take-home paycheck. It will fluctuate as the Company goes forward or backward. If everyone does their job well, then the Company makes more money, and if the Company makes more money, the employees can take an immediate hike in pay.

There are other things the Company can do. If speed in production is essential for a certain department, then instead of assigning the group the task of working eight hours a day and going home, they can be assigned the task of creating a specified number of their production units in a day. If they get them done in six hours instead of eight, they can either go home or work overtime. If quality is the most important item, then a bonus system can be worked up on this.

Bonuses and recognition will be a key ingredient in the Molecular Business. Conservation of cash will be important as the Company is growing; therefore, in recognizing achievement, the Company will emphasize bonuses in stock, dinners, vacations, privileges and a lot of pats on the back.

If the worker needs extra money he can work overtime. He will receive the same hourly wage in cash but an extra amount of stock which will be determined by the Company.

A fourth incentive in working for the Molecular Business is that it encourages initiative and will help its workers get started in a business of their own. Even if an employee does not start a business of his own he will find working in the Molecular Business will give him so much freedom it will be just about like being self-employed. Each manager will be like a steward over his responsibilities, and it will be close to creating the feeling that it is his own business enterprise.

A fifth incentive for an employee (and this one may prove to be greater than any monetary payment) is that the workplace of the Molecular Business will be where his friends are. He will enjoy the working atmosphere and it will be close to impossible to have the harassment problems and lack of freedom that exists in a regular business. Some employees will rather be Molecular even if they are making half the money. The work will be enjoyable and stimulating and at the same time the worker will realize he is working in an organization where everyone is interdependent and everyone is helping everyone else.

The sixth incentive occurs when an employee figures out how to do the job better. When this happens, the cost of production goes down and the wages go up. Anyone who helps to accomplish this will be recognized and receive great admiration from his peers because he helped them to receive a higher paycheck.

We could go on and on, but the basic principle is this: When an employee has enough money for his needs, good benefits, job security, retirement security, enjoyable work, freedom to work at his highest potential, freedom of expression and activity and the potential to increase his income indefinitely – where else will the guy go?

The Molecular Business will be his family, and no one wants to leave family.

Speaking of families, the Molecular business will encourage spouses with a reasonable amount of marital stability to work together on the job. If the marriage is good then working together will make it better and they can be a powerful team.

If the relationship is not stable, they would be better off working apart. The point is that many businesses refuse to let a husband and wife work together. This is an infringement on their freedom. If they desire to do so they should have that option.

The Molecular Business, Part VI

Molecular Details

For some seekers business is a boring subject. Nevertheless our jobs have more power over our lives and demand more attention, than do all the spiritual teachings in the world, or the inner God itself. Is it not logical that to truly bring in the new age we must make those 40+ hours a week where we dedicate our priority strength a spiritual place to spend our time? Is it not logical that we make the product of all that energy a benefit for the whole as well as the self?

The past has been an age of dreams. The age of Aquarius is the age where dreams come true. But to make them come true takes action as well as thoughts, words and meditation. Action is the most difficult step to take for in taking action we unravel our illusions and it takes courage to face our illusions.

Business is not a subject that dreamers such as you and I naturally put as a high priority. Personally, my soul has dragged me into the business world kicking and screaming. I would much rather be teaching, writing, learning mystical things, maybe vacationing in the Caribbean. Yet when I see the vision of things to come I know that the natural resistance to the energies of the New Age must be dropped and a new understanding must come. The time must come that the power and money of the world is controlled by the unselfish rather than the selfish.

This cannot happen by force as some mislead reformers in the past have taught. A good and holy idea implemented by force becomes a great evil. All the thoughts of God must be brought about by the free will and understanding of mankind. When this happens then the ideals of mankind (which for ages have been deemed impossible) will become manifest.

I am trying to guide us as a group in the direction of the Aquarian energies and the inner world of soul contact. Piece by piece the sections covered may not make a lot of sense or be our natural inclination of interest, but when we put the pieces together and more of the whole picture is seen then the inner stirrings of the Spirit will confirm the time has been well spent.

The purpose of the Molecular Business is to duplicate nature. There is plenty of oxygen in the air out there for all of us. Similarly, there is plenty of money for all, and if we create a living business, it can breathe in all the money it needs, just as a living body can draw in all the needed oxygen.

However, the objector may say there is a limit on the money we can draw. He says this because he does not understand what money is. Money is merely a symbol of the labor which has created wealth. In other words, money is created by labor. Without the existence of labor, money would be without value and meaningless.

Just like the body is only limited by the amount of oxygen it draws from the number of breaths it takes, so is the Molecular Business only limited to the amount of money it can draw by the amount of labor it generates. There is no reason why all cannot live in abundance, for the Molecular Principle creates maximum efficiency and potential for unlimited wealth.

If the small businessman succeeds, he can create a comfortable living for himself. Even so, if a Molecular Business is to succeed, all employees (who are an expansion of the one-owner concept) may have to sacrifice, at first, so they too, as a whole, can enjoy an abundant life when success is reached.

When this equal payment principle is first explained, several objections surface:

(1) Employees in a company wouldn’t go for it.

(2) You have to pay a high wage to get skilled employees.

(3) No one would have the prospect of a high salary and everyone would have starvation wages.

OBJECTION ONE: On the surface, those who believe that employees would not go for the equal wage are correct. That is, it would be almost impossible to convince employees in orthodox businesses to change their wage structure in any direction but immediately up, especially those in the higher income bracket. You cannot put new wine in old bottles.

Therefore, the solution to objection one is to put the new wine in new bottles. All Molecular Businesses, in the beginning, will have to be built from the ground up, and in so doing, will have no problem attracting employees. As long as the standard wage being offered is a competitive one, there will always be a surplus of job applicants. The Molecular Business will not have to draw in 100, 200 and 300 thousand dollar-a-year executives from established businesses. It will evolve all the executive talent needed from the pool of ground level employees to create a well oiled machinery.

Multi-Level marketing companies have already proven that this can be done. All people join these companies at ground level, and those who rise to the top (many making more than $200,000 a year) are often from the ranks of very common people, such as janitors, laborers, teachers, salesclerks, etc.

OBJECTION TWO: It would seem that we could not pay an equal wage to everyone. Even if we could pull the managers from the ranks, there are usually certain skilled individuals such as engineers, lawyers, draftsmen, accountants, and so on who expect a fairly high starting wage.

The Molecular Business will put a lot of emphasis on training while on the job. Oftentimes a person will go to school four or more years to learn a trade and then find that most of his learning for his actual job performance comes from his working experience. Some jobs that are assumed by trained people can be taken by others who are trained on the job. Accounting is a good example. With the new computer programs taking a lot of the busywork out of keeping records and simplifying the learning process, accounting procedures can now be quickly taught to most anyone of average intelligence.

Thus, not only can all executives evolve from the ranks, but so can many skilled workers.

Nevertheless, it is recognized that there will be a need, now and then, to acquire a skilled employee at whatever cost the company has to pay. Even in this case a person of such skill may be attracted to the Molecular Business for a number of the following reasons:

  1. The combination of cash, stock and other benefits will, most probably, reach a higher total that what he would receive in working for anyone else.
  2. There would be great job satisfaction in working in a democratic business.
  3. The combined prospect of long term financial gain, security and job satisfaction will be greater in the Molecular Business than any other.

Nevertheless, if it comes down to the fact that the Molecular Business must pay a higher than normal wage to hire a crucial employee, then it always has that freedom to do so. There are never any rules that cannot be changed by the democratic process. Flexibility and adaptability are always key factors in growth.

It comes down to this: The Molecular Business always has full power to draw the talent it needs to accomplish its objectives.

OBJECTION THREE: When the principle of equal wages is explained many think that wage will be a starvation wage. It is hard for many to conceive of abundance for all.

First, one must remember that the wage is a combination of cash, stock and benefits. Their total combination will equal an attractive overall wage. The cash wage may not be a large amount when the Company is first starting, or in hard times but we will not be looking for employees that are after all-you-can-get-for-the-present-moment. We will be looking for those who want to build a secure and prosperous future as well as initiating a constructive world wide change.

When the Molecular Business first starts then, it is true, that its wages will be at a lower point then after it becomes established. So why not wait until after it succeeds and then join it?

The answer is quite simple. If it succeeds, those who started the Company will have a tremendous financial advantage because part of their payment in stock. Stock purchased at the beginning of a successful company will multiply many times in value after it gets established. Therefore, what may appear to be a lower starting wage may turn into a literal bonanza.

Then after the Company has become prosperous, the general wage will become more and more attractive until it will reach the point that employees of orthodox businesses will desire that their companies turn Molecular.

The Seeker’s Guide to Soul Contact, Part 8

Day 71

The great illusion

It is said that the cost of freedom is eternal vigilance. This is also true for the seeker seeking to maintain contact and communion with his highest spiritual center.

Also of note is that freedom can be taken away in increments that are hardly noticeable until one awakens to an alarming loss; even so, for the seeker who does achieve a measure of soul contact. Loss of focus and tricks played on him by his lower emotional and mental selves can take him away inch by inch until he may not realize how great the distance is that he has traveled away from his soul.

Even though soul contact is more real than the material reality the initial contact is very gentle and ephemeral – a little like a voice at a far distance that you are trying to discern through lots of interfering noises.

Those noises are caused by distortions from the emotional self and illusions and scattered thoughts from the lower mental self.

We have spent significant time on discussing how the emotional self blocks soul contact. More subtle though are the blockages created by the mind.

The problem with the emotions is easy to understand. One may have a grievance or another negative emotion that takes his attention away from the inner peace of the soul. In a negative state the person just doesn’t feel like stilling the emotions and seeking higher contact.

On the other hand, illusions from the mind can creep in when the emotional body is in relative peace. In that fairly tranquil state the mind can trick the seeker into thinking he has contact when such is not the case.

When the seeker begins his quest he usually seeks some type of higher contact. In this course we use the term “soul contact”, but people seek this by different names. Seeking an answer from God is the most common description of the quest. Others say they are seeking the Holy Spirit, Jesus, the Higher Self, higher mind, nirvana and so on.

It matters not what language you use, the process is the same. Your request must make it through the static of the lower emotions and mind. Even when the emotions are stilled the mind can create quite a barrier. Here is the most common illusion that creates a problem.

When the seeker begins his quest the highest he will normally reach will be the higher parts of his lower emotional self. The feelings here are very powerful and can bring tears to the eyes, but they are still a part of your lower self. The seeker may be a step away from higher contact, but still connected to the lower self which can lead to much error.

This is where the mind comes in creating an illusion. The mind calculates that the person is just as spiritual as the next guy and decides that the higher feelings he has received are pretty much the ultimate from God, the Spirit, Higher Self or whatever he seeks. Since he has not achieved solid enough soul contact his mind is tricked into believing that he has found the ultimate. A few years ago there was a popular bumper sticker signifying this illusion stating, “I found it!”

If the seeker is tricked into thinking higher emotional contact is the end goal then he will relax and it may be a long time before he becomes motivated to see through the illusion and take the next step.

It is essential that the seeker learn to differentiate between the higher part of the lower self and the actual Higher Self. He cannot do this until he makes contact and he cannot make contact unless he is open to the possibility that he has not found the ultimate presence.

None of the students reading this will have found the ultimate so all seekers need to proceed with the idea that there is something higher. Soul contact is the first major step, but there are others.

The assignment today is to reflect on this lesson and what may be your personal barriers to discerning the difference between the higher emotional self and the true Higher Self. Contemplate on what your next step is in making higher contact.

Affirmation: “I have struggled to make it this far. Now is not the time to rest, but forward I move through all barriers.”

 

Day 72

Creation by illusion

One of the reasons that this physical reality is so full of illusion, division and strife is that all physical reality is created on the principle of illusion.

This idea is in harmony with known science. As we look deeper and deeper into the microcosm we find smaller and smaller particles, but then as we get further into them we find lots of empty space and more particles until we get to the atom. Then we find that the atoms are over 99.99% empty space. All we find are sub atomic particles with wave properties. As we go deeper all that is discovered are wavelengths. The whole physical universe is composed of wavelengths and science has no idea what creates them

The original wavelength is created by the Purpose or Thought of God set in motion. All creation manifests through the illusion of the guitar string principle.

Take a look at a single guitar string. It is one isolated string. But then pluck it and look again. What do you see? You see three strings – one on top, one on the bottom and one in the middle with a blurr in between.

Even so, the one God set thought in motion and created the illusion of the Trinity, the three. The wavelength of science manifests this three. There is the top of the wavelength, the bottom and the middle representing the originating force.

It is fascinating to consider that the whole visible universe is observable because of the simple guitar string principle.

Since this physical reality is created on the principle of illusion we should not be surprised that illusion is all around us and distracts us from seeing the formless reality behind all form.

The wavelengths and vibration of music in this reality are like the sirens of Ulysses. They draw us through illusion and drown out the beautiful music of the spheres, causing us to take erroneous paths that lead to disaster again and again until we fine tune our inner ear and find the true voice that leads to everlasting deliverance.

When the seeker realizes that all things visible in the material world are founded upon illusion then he will take to heart the idea that illusion is everywhere. Piece by piece must the seeker find and unravel the illusions about him.

There are illusions in politics, illusions in religion, illusions in science, and even math. There are lots of illusions about what is good for you, or your highest good; illusions about health and medicine, illusions concerning finance, about love and romance, about education, about reasoning and what is truth. There are more illusions than we can name here.

Because of our great political division most are more than eager to find illusion or error on the other side of the aisle, but believe me, neither the liberals or conservatives have a monopoly on this problem.

Your assignment today is to look at the political party you usually support with your vote and ask yourself where is there illusion within it. What is the cause and what is the solution? Be careful that your answer is not based on illusion. For instance, avoid answers such as, “My party needs to teach those other SOBs a lesson and they are not doing it.”

Find some real illusion wherein a flaw resides. It may be difficult if you have invested too much energy in demonizing the other side.

Affirmation: “I can see illusion in friends as well as foes.”

 

Day 73

Seed Thoughts

The lower mind cannot dispel illusion by itself and needs some help from the higher. The higher mind is always there willing to assist us when we do our part to make contact. Very few make the needed contact until they finally decide to tread the path which will take them home.

One exercise that all can do which will strengthen the link between the lower and higher self is in the use of seed thoughts.

A seed thought is a phrase, potent with meaning, upon which the student contemplates with the goal of receiving greater light or inspiration.

Sometimes a thought represented by just a few words, when contemplated, can provide enough inspiration for an entire book.

After all, we are told that, “in the beginning was the word.” Could God have used one mere word as a seed thought that expanded into all there is? Interesting seed thought right there.

One thing that helped me to realize the value of seed thoughts was that in my youth I memorized quite a few scriptures. Later on when I had boring jobs or was just doing a lot of driving with nothing to do, those scriptures I had previously memorized just seemed to float around in my head now and then. When this happened and I reflected upon them, often more understanding would come and I would see them in a light that hadn’t been there before. I began to realize the truth of the ancient Jewish idea that all inspired words had at least three meanings. They called this the body, soul and spirit of the scriptures. Still others believe that inspired words have seven meanings.

Throughout my life I have found those memorized scriptures to be excellent seed thoughts. Sometimes 20 or 30 yeas after they had been memorized additional light would come when reflecting on them.

One thing I discovered is that not all scripture, words or seed thoughts are the same. Some have more potency, meaning and harmony with the soul than others. Even some single words can provide powerful thoughts to contemplate. Examples of such words are, love, God, vibration, relationship, Spirit etc.

A phrase is good though for it can contain potent words and have an overall potency in its entirety.

For your assignment today I will give you a seed thought which has provided me with great light over the years. Let this thought run though your mind over the next day and see what additional thoughts come. When you realize additional light or understanding ask yourself if perhaps it came from your higher mind rather than your lower. If you pay attention you will sense the difference between something that comes from the lower mind or the higher.

Here is the seed thought for the day:

“You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

Memorize this scripture and let it come up often in your thoughts during the next 24 hours.

You must do more than just let it come to your memory, however. Ask yourself questions about it, such as: What is truth? How will I know it? Why and how would it set me free?”

You must ask yourself questions as you think about the seed thought as sometimes the questions reach the soul which knows the answer.

For today’s affirmation use the seed thought.

Day 74

Seed thoughts and questions

So, how did you do with the seed thought which was:

“You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

Did you ask yourself the questions suggested which were:

“What is truth? How will I know it? Why and how would it set me free?”

Did you stop there, or did you ask more questions?

This is a key point for you. You must be the source of your own questions. A question given by another is only half a question. One created by yourself is a much stronger one and has more power to reach the soul.

There are many more questions you could ask yourself connected to this seed thought such as:

What is Jesus referring to when he speaks of freedom?

Free to do what?

How is truth related to freedom?

How am I not free now?

Is “the truth” a specific truth or truth in general?

Don’t feel bad if you did not think to ask additional questions. Most others did not either. However, let this be a notice to you of the importance of asking your own questions. Asking questions is a major key to opening the door to soul contact.

Asking questions is a key ingredient, but not the only one. The seeker must expect to get an answer. In an attitude of expectation he must throw the energies of his heart and mind on reflecting on the answer to the question. He must believe that he can find the answer.

The next seed thought is the first stanza of the Great Invocation:

“From the point of Light within the Mind of God

“Let light stream forth into the minds of men.

“Let Light descend on Earth.”

First, read it over and ponder on its meaning, Then, after a period of reflection, come up with three questions about it. I will not give you any hints this time. See what you can do and then ponder on the answers.

Affirmation: “I find answers because I question.”

 

Day 75

I am a point of light

So… did you come up with the three questions? That is good if you did. Did you come up with more than three? That is even better. The reason that deserves praise is not because of skill in coming up with questions, but because you showed initiative and did more than is asked by an outward source.

Remember in the last lesson that some made extra progress by showing the initiative to come up with their own questions, going beyond that which was suggested? Even so, a few here may have gone beyond the suggestion to cone up with three questions and come up with four, or maybe five or more.

Again, if you went beyond that which was asked you have made an important step, a step common to those who maintain consistent soul contact.

In saying this, I should stress that, for teaching sake, the process with these seed thoughts is sped up, as many seed thoughts may foment in the mind and heart for years, and then in a flash additional knowledge will come. That doesn’t mean you cannot receive light on them in a day, an hour or even an instant. You can. Reflection now will bring to you what you are ready to receive in the present. Continued reflection will expand your consciousness making you ready to receive more.

Now, let us take a look at today’s seed thought. It begins:

“From the point of Light within the Mind of God…”

The most obvious question would be around the somewhat odd wording, “point of light.”

After all, isn’t the light and love of God represented by much more than a point?

The point of light idea has numerous layers of meaning but the most important one as far as the seeker is concerned is that he is a point of light within the mind of God. His real mind is part of the mind of God and his presence here on earth represents a single point among the billions of human lives.

Even though we are all linked to the mind of God, few have manifested an actual point of light, but those who take this invocation to heart link heaven and earth so a point of spiritual light is manifest within their own minds. Then, from this point of light within, which is shared by the soul, the prayer is that your own soul contact will increase to he extent that you will fulfill the words of Jesus and become a light to the world.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matt 5:14-16

Asking the point of light to stream forth is another way of saying, “let your light (the light of God through the soul) so shine before men…”

The words “stream forth” represent another unusual phrase and merits some questioning. This thought is also expanded in the words of Jesus:

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Matt 6:22

You then, being a point of light, expand the presence of that light by making your eye, or focus, concentrated on the light of the soul within. When your focus is on the true light within, rather than the false light without your whole being will then be “full of light,” and such a light set on a hill (or openly presented) will not be hid under a bushel, but will “stream forth into the minds of men.”

The next stanza also makes a great seed thought. It reads:

“From the point of Love within the Heart of God

Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.

“May Christ return to Earth.”

I’m not going to make suggestions this time. Just apply what you have already learned, plant the thought in your mind and contemplate.

Affirmation: “I need not go to a far country for divine guidance, for the guidance of the soul is with me now.”

 

Day 76

Quality Questions

The current seed thought:

“From the point of Love within the Heart of God

“Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.

“May Christ return to Earth.”

It is most likely that you asked your own questions this time. That is good and what is expected of you at this juncture. Now that you realize the need for questions the next step is to work on the quality. Most any question is better than none at all, but some questions lead to more results than others.

In addition, the seeker needs to ask the right sequence of questions. One can ask five unrelated questions and obtain a little knowledge, but if he asks five linked questions then the knowledge gained may be much more profound.

Let us ask a series of questions and see where it leads us.

(1) What is the point of love?

Answer: It is individuals like you and me, just as was the point of light.

(2) What is the heart of God?

Answer: In relation to this earth it is all the points of love that are manifesting through individuals and some groups.

(3) How will it “stream forth into the hearts of men”?

Answer: Love is contagious, but in a good way. When many points demonstrate love then it is as if a stream is created which cannot be ignored. The stream will carry many others along with it.

(4) Are physical acts of love and compassion the only way to add to the stream?

Answer: No. In your silent moments of prayer and meditation you can send forth feelings and thoughts of love to a waiting humanity. Every loving act, feeling and thought adds to the stream.

(5) The seed thought ends with, “May Christ return to earth.” Is this speaking of the entity who was Christ or a Christ like spirit among humanity?

Answer: Both. The love that was demonstrated by Christ must be demonstrated by many of us before He returns.

(6) How many?

Answer: A critical mass, enough people so the trend is toward peace, unity and love rather than war, division and hate.

(7) How is this phrase related to the others?

Answer: Christ will first return to earth in us, manifesting as points, then gathered into streams. When the love of Christ begins to dominate in the hearts of men then Christ will be here. Did he not say, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

We gather in His name when we, as points of love, join in love and unity.

A most important step in the return of Christ is our own return home to the love of the soul which is ever there waiting with outstretched arms.

This gives you some food for thought, but do not stop here. Continue to reflect and ask questions, and remember, more than one interpretation can apply.

Next we have the third stanza which supplies a good seed thought. It reads:

“From the centre where the Will of God is known

“Let purpose guide the little wills of men

“The purpose which the Masters know and serve.”

The assignment today is the same as yesterday with the added note to attempt to improve the quality of your questions and see if you can link them so one answer sheds light on another.

Affirmation: “I ask a question and another forms.”

 

Day 77

The Will of God

So, how did you do with yesterday’s affirmation? Are the questions coming a little easier? How about the answers? It is important that you listen after having asked yourself a question. Sometimes in silence a flash of insight will come. This is evidence that you are receiving from your soul. Focus and continue and results will come.

We will now look at some questions and answers that may have entered your mind. Perhaps you had your own, just as valid, and that is fine. Examples are given to assist those who are ready to learn.

The first line of the stanza reads:

“From the centre where the Will of God is known.”

The obvious question to ask here is, where is this center where the will of God is known?

Most esoteric students would say that the center is Shamballa wherein resides Sanat Kumara, the Ancient of Days. He is the highest representative of the Will of God on the earth. He and His associates represent the head center of the planet. The Christ and his associates represent the heart center.

Many contemplate this far and stop but there is more. The creations of God are vast indeed and there are many centers where at least a portion of the will of God is known.

There is the Logos of our planet which has an awareness far exceeding our own, then you have seven very advanced beings called in the Bible, the Seven Spirits before the throne. Above them you have the Solar Logos and then a logos over seven solar systems. If we could ascend high enough we could arrive at the One Great Life which we call God. I’m sure He has plans that would boggle the minds of many of the great ones.

Fortunately, there is a connecting thread that links the highest Life with the lowly self aware units we call humanity. Each self conscious unit has within it a center where the Will of God is known and from that center even a single human can sense his part in fulfilling Divine Will.

The center in the human body related to the will is the crown chakra at the top of the head and from thence are elements of higher will distributed through your entire being. There are many things going on in your being of which you are not aware.

We, however, desire to become aware of higher will so we can be conscious contributors and avoid being unconscious obstructionists. Your soul has a sense of the part you are to play in the current life in manifesting the Will of God. If you can therefore focus and listen you will get impressions about what you are supposed to do. If you follow a true impression when it comes then you will be given more. The more you respond the more you will be given and the stronger will be your sense that receives.

Notice that the wording refers to the Will of God that is “known.” The will of God cannot manifest unless it is known. For the disciple to do his part he must know a portion of that Will. We assume that the Christ and the Ancient of Days clearly perceive much of that will, but we have a responsibility also. We must find and know of that portion which belongs to us. This brings us to the next question. Ask yourself this:

How much of the will of God do I know?

This question will be your seed thought for today.

Do not say that you do not know any part of the Will of God because you do and you will discover this in the next lesson. So do not claim ignorance and not seek the answer, because you do know parts of Higher Will.

Affirmation: “I know more than I think.”

 

Day 78

Understanding Divine Will

Your last seed thought was to ask yourself this question:

“How much of the will of God do I know?”

I told you that you have a knowledge of portions of the Will of God and should be able to name them. Some did not believe this, thinking that obtaining the Will of God is beyond their grasp.

But discovering many elements of divine will is not beyond your reach for you are an extension of Divinity yourself. Many have merely forgotten who they are.

That said, I will list a number of things that are in harmony with Divine Will of which I am sure you will agree.

(1) Love your neighbor as yourself.

This was said by Jesus who was indeed close to God and most people, even non Christians and atheists agree with the basic idea. Do you not think this precept is in harmony with the Will of God? Our spiritual senses say yes.

(2) Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

Do you not suppose that God’s Will is to follow this principle?

(3) Apply the principle of forgiveness to the best of your ability.

Again our spiritual senses agree with this.

(4) Have faith that a dominating good will prevail.

Does it not make sense that the will of God is guiding all things toward a good end?

(5) The Ten Commandments.

These are said to be written by the finger of God, but most of them are accepted by the masses. Of course, it would seem that the Will of God is against stealing, lying, murder and other basic evils.

So, you see – you do know quite a few things that are in alignment with the Will of God.

It is God’s will that we have our free agency. We are given this, even though it creates a lot of problems, many of them even blamed on God.

As extensions of God we have within us all the creative powers of God. Because we have our agency we can use those powers to create any kind of world we want, good or bad. We collectively have created this world using the godly powers given us. It is not the Father’s Will that we cause each other pain and grief in this world, but it is a top priority that we have free will so we can learn from our mistakes. Therefore, we have manifested an imperfect world where many negative things happen that would not transpire if we had no freedom.

The wise parent allows his child to go out and play, knowing he will get some bumps and bruises, but will learn from them. The parent would never directly hurt the child, yet because the child must have freedom to learn one must expect some discomfort in the process.

From one way of looking at it then, your will, no matter what it is, is the Will of God, because the use of your will is the use of the powers of godliness that God has granted for us to employ.

It is His will that we learn from our bad decisions and eventually bring all of our decisions in harmony with the originating unity which is God.

Everything that happens, good and bad, is allowed by divine will so a greater good will be the end result of creation. On the other hand, when harmony with Divine Will is spoken of by teachers they are speaking of steps that take us toward the dominating good, not away from it.

For instance, you may be presented with the choice to marry either person A or person B. Person A is the much better choice, the one you selected before you were born. But Divine Will gives you the freedom to make a mistake and marry person B. If you marry person B you are going along with Divine Will as far as using your freedom, but your actual choice is not in harmony with it. Thus, when we speak of being in harmony with the Will of God we speak of decisions which are in alignment.

The seeker must value his free will, but he must also value the quality of his decisions and seek those decisions which assist all forces toward a positive end.

Many people who are not aware of what soul contact is have sensed guidance from within in making major decisions in life. Decision points are great guideposts directing us toward true inner contact.

Okay, we have expanded that seed thought on will. Even so, there is much more that could be said, but let us move on.

Let us repeat again the third stanza of The Great Invocation:

“From the centre where the Will of God is known

“Let purpose guide the little wills of men

“The purpose which the Masters know and serve.”

We have covered the first line; let us move on to the second and third. Notice that “Will” is emphasized in the first line and “purpose” thereafter. Contemplate these questions;

(1) What is the difference between will and purpose?

(2) Why are we told that we have “little wills”?

(3) What is the purpose that the Masters know and serve?

Affirmation: “My will and God’s will are one.”

 

Day 79

Finding Purpose

Let us repeat the current seed thought:

“From the centre where the Will of God is known

“Let purpose guide the little wills of men

“The purpose which the Masters know and serve.”

The first question was: What is the difference between will and purpose?

So, did you come up with something? Did you feel satisfied with it? The important thing was that you registered the question, thought about it and tried to answer it. That is more important than being right.

We are given a hint to the answer in the seed thought itself, which tells us that purpose guides the will. In other words, purpose originates the plan and will carries it out.

Will and purpose are somewhat interdependent. The first line speaks about the Will of God, but not the Purpose. This tells us that we do not know the whole plan of God (purpose) but it is important that we realize the portion of the plan (Will) that applies to us. When the seeker senses higher Will he develops a natural desire to manifest it.

The second question reads: Why are we told that we have “little wills”?

The answer is twofold. First, we regular humans only correctly perceive a small portion of the plan of God. Therefore, no matter how determined we are we can only manifest a little of it with our little wills.

Secondly, the power of will, even in advanced humanity is in the embryo stage and of small moment in comparison to the greater lives which perceive much more of the purpose of God. Purpose (or the true plan of God) must guide our little wills so they can have an effect.

The third question reads: “What is the purpose that the Masters know and serve?”

Humanity is the fourth kingdom in nature and Christ and His associates (the Masters) are the fifth. Just as humans perceive more than the animals (the third kingdom), the Masters perceive and understand much more than regular humans. But just as advanced animals seem almost human, advanced humans are almost like the Masters.

Those who seek higher knowledge will at times tap into the minds of higher lives and catch a glimpse at the purpose which the Masters know and serve. When that purpose is perceived to any degree the will is stimulated and becomes more potent.

The purpose and plan of God is different than purpose as seen by humans. Human purpose can be frustrated whereas Divine Purpose cannot. Once the seeker perceives Divine Purpose he knows that it will manifest and nothing can stop it. The only thing determined by humans is the amount of time the manifestation will take.

The last line of this stanza then is calling us mortals to stretch our minds and see greater purpose through the eyes of Christ. This scripture provides good inspiration:

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” Phil 2:5-6

Let us not see it as robbery to attain to the mind of Christ who sees the Purpose of God.

The next seed thought will be the fourth stanza of the Great Invocation which reads:

“From the centre which we call the race of men

“Let the Plan of Love and Light work out.

“And may it seal the door where evil dwells.”

Read, contemplate, absorb and ask questions.

Affirmation: “I see some purpose and am seeking more.”

 

Day 80

The Plan

So how did you do on the last seed thought? Did you come up with questions and answers?

Let us take a look at it again:

“From the centre which we call the race of men

“Let the Plan of Love and Light work out.

“And may it seal the door where evil dwells.”

This thought needs to be seen as more of a linked whole than looked at line by line. For instance, the first line is quite simple for it merely refers to the human race. But then it is asking that from the human race that the plan of light and love should work out and then to the third line that this plan will seal the door where evil dwells.

By the time you got to the second line you might have asked questions such as, “What is the Plan?” “What connection does the human race have in relation to the plan?” “How is it associated with Love and Light?” Is there a reason Love is listed first?” “How will it work out?”

The full plan is beyond the comprehension of humanity. All we can perceive is a small portion of it that affects us at this point in time. Humanity itself senses a portion of the plan, the most important part is to develop and express goodwill and love toward others of humanity as well as lower life forms. This we must also do on an individual basis, but to fulfill his part of the plan the individual must sense the impulse from his soul as to the direction his life is to take. More people get some type of soul impulse on this than is realized and if followed they are doing their tiny part in the great whole.

This stanza calls for humanity to do its part in manifesting the Plan. Many think that God, Jesus or the Masters should come help us, but if we received too much help the whole purpose of incarnating on earth would be frustrated. Humanity must work out its own problems and do its part of the plan by using its own intelligence and initiative.

So How is the Plan associated with Love and Light, and is there a reason Love is listed first?

We mentioned that the Plan itself is related to love and goodwill, but light is also thrown in. Light and love make a complete whole. You cannot have one without the other. Light reveals and love accepts and embraces that which is revealed. Love brings together and light reveals reasons to maintain unity. Love is mentioned first because it is the dominating motivation of life in this great cycle.

Finally, how will the Plan work out?

Much could be written on this but in a nutshell all the aspects of love and light which include wisdom, understanding knowledge and compassion will push back the darkness that hides the real and allow humanity to see the next steps that need to be taken to fulfill the prayer of Jesus wherein he said:

Thy Kingdom come

Thy Will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

The current seed thought ends with “And may it seal the door where evil dwells.”

This can have several levels of meaning but Djwhal Khul who gave it out near the end of World War II said the door was connected to the evil released by Hitler and associates. That door was not completely closed by winning the war but is still cracked open and needs to be sealed shut.

Contemplate then on this great line in connection with the rest of the stanza and see what light and understanding come.

Affirmation: “I will do my part and show goodwill, love and understanding.”

Molecular Parable

PARABLE OF ABUNDANCE

Perhaps a parable would help us comprehend the Molecular Principle.

In the beginning, there lived a Body that dwelled in the land of fresh air. The Body saw that there was beautiful, clean, fresh air as far as they eye could see with all the life-giving oxygen one would ever need. The Body also saw the impossibility of ever having a shortage of oxygen because, after it breathed it in, it breathed it out in a different form that was food for plants. The plants showed their appreciation by reciprocating and regenerating more oxygen usable for the Body. Thus, the Body lived in a cycle of endless supply and expected to have abundance forever.

All the cells in the Body were also very happy and content. They drank deeply from the great breaths of oxygen the Body took. No one ever thought of saving, or hoarding, for all had all they needed. The brain cells needed a little more than some of the others, but no one seemed to mind, for they all had all they wanted and needed, and since all were fulfilled, everyone was considered equal. They functioned in perfect cooperation with the realization that all cells must be fulfilled for the Body to be healthy, and the Body must be healthy for any individual cells to be fulfilled. Thus they realized their interdependence, and with this realization came sublime independence.

The Body lived in a state of perfect functioning for a long long time until one day the land of fresh air was visited by a sick Body that was near death. This Body was off color, contorted with some dread disease, the eyes were cloudy, its temperature was hot, its breaths were shallow and quick and it could barely stand.

The sick Body told the healthy one: “I have one last request before I die. Share this apple with me and I will lie down in peace.” The sick Body took a bite and handed it to the healthy one. The healthy Body looked on with pity and took a bite, but when he did something strange happened. One of the cells from the sick Body hopped off onto the bite taken by the healthy one. The cell knew the Body he was in was dying and he saw an opportunity to start a new life in the healthy Body.

Unfortunately, the foreign cell brought with him the philosophy from the dying Body, a philosophy completely unknown and unthought of by the cells in the healthy Body.

In the sick Body, from whence came the foreign cell, there always seemed to be a lack of oxygen. At times they made futile attempts at sharing and being interdependent, but separateness seemed to prevail and the cells lived in a constant fear of lack. As the Body got sicker and sicker they seemed to be forced more and more to hoard up oxygen for themselves, or else they would not have enough for the morrow.

Now the foreign cell had just come out of this great struggle. He was one of the stronger ones and always seemed to be able to garner enough to insure his own strength, often at the expense of others, and when he found himself in a healthy Body with an abundance he was quite excited. He immediately started gathering around himself all the oxygen he could store. After this was complete he created storage containers and hoarded still more.

Some of the healthy cells were curious about him and gathered around to watch. They had never seen anyone hoard oxygen before, no one had even thought about it, for they had always lived in natural abundance. They had to ask: “Friend, why do you waste your time gathering around you oxygen when we live in perpetual abundance? There has never been a need for such a task.”

“You are ignorant fools!” said the foreign cell. “You assume that just because you had abundance in the past that you will have abundance in the future. I know from experience that this is not the case. I originated from another Body that was once healthy like this one, but health is a whimsical thing. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not. You have been fortunate that you have always had abundant oxygen. If your Body had had an extreme shortage, in your ignorance, you would have all starved to death, for none of you have ever had any oxygen put away. In your blindness you have always thought that you have had nothing to worry about. It is now time for you to wake up and take responsibility for your own health.

“Look at me,” he said. “If this Body were to get sick, as my previous Body did, and have an extreme shortage of oxygen, then I would be the only one here that would continue to have abundance. You would then look like fools and look toward me as your savior.”

The healthy cells listened in stunned silence. “We have always assumed that there would always be abundance,” they said. “Tell us what happened in your Body.”

“We lived the good life like you for a while,” said the foreign cell. “But all good things must end. Certain wiser cells realized this and started teaching others about the potential crisis. Some listened and started saving for the evil day. It’s a good thing we did because it was not long before we needed it. When the shortages came the ignorant ones who had saved nothing, but trusted to the abundant supply, were caught with their pants down. They suffered and tried to get those with savings to share with them, but they would not. If those wise ones who saved shared with those who had not, then neither would have enough. The shortage got worse and worse until all were forced to take what they could. Now I was one of the few who never had lack all the way through the great ordeal and I am the only cell to yet remain alive. If you want to learn how to survive the coming crisis, that I am sure is coming to this Body, then you should listen to me.”

“What shall we do?” asked the other cells.

“We must labor diligently to gather and store up additional oxygen. I will be your leader and guide you in this for a percentage of what you gather, and surely I will be your savior; for I am the only one here with knowledge of things to come.”

The word of this new philosophy spread throughout the Body and caused a great consternation and division among the cells. Most did not believe there would ever be such a shortage, but some did and joined with the foreign cell in hoarding the oxygen.

After a period of time, those who did not hoard found that they were indeed suffering a lack, yet they continued sharing that which they had with each other and managed to survive all right. On the other hand, the hoarding cells took joy in the seeming correctness of their moves and lorded over the other cells. “See, we told you this would happen. Look at us. We have more abundance than ever because we worked harder than you and put away for the evil day.”

Some of the non-hoarding cells felt foolish at this and joined in with the hoarding cells and united with them in labor to gather all the possible oxygen.

As time passed the shortage among those who did not hoard became very severe. So great was their lack that many cells began to die. Those who remained were exceedingly alarmed and decided to cease any sharing and join the hoarders. Each cell had to gather what he could for himself. Thus, all the lives in the Body found themselves in the midst of a great struggle for survival, and the Body as a whole became very sick, approached the point of death and called in a friend who had once been sick to the point of death but survived.

The friend said: “This disease is a mystery. I am one of the few who was able to make a complete recovery and I know not why. But I do remember that I did begin to get better right after my father shared a glass of sweet nectar with me.”

The sick Body then asked: “Will you share a glass of nectar with me in the same way.”

The friend agreed and took a glass of nectar, first taking a drink himself and then giving to the sick Body to drink.

Now, one of the cells in the friend’s Body, who had lived through the disease and recovered, desired to help his millions of brother cells in distress and hopped into the nectar and was transported to the sick Body.

When he arrived there he found a sad state of affairs. Cell was struggling against cell in a fierce battle for survival, oxygen and control. Very little cooperation seemed to exist. He cried out: “Listen to me, Oh ye cells, for the Body does not have to die and you do not have to lack. I come from a Body that had great health, then was sick, but was later healed, and I know the secret of healing.”

Most thought the newcomer was a crackpot, but a few listened. “There is plenty of oxygen for all,” he continued. “We must return to being our brother’s keeper, stop the hoarding and cooperate with each other. Then all will have abundance.”

A heckler came forward: “When the shortage first occurred we tried that and it did not work. Our only salvation is to follow the example of the foreign cell and work to gather surplus.”

The newcomer spoke again: “It only seems that way. Your greed has led you into an illusion so deep that you cannot see your way out. The foreign cell came from a Body which died. I came from one that lived! Your whole problem is what you think is the solution. The greed and hoarding create the shortage. The Body breathes in enough oxygen for all. Labor for the health of the Body, and not your individual selves. The Body will give you all the oxygen you can possibly use just the way it used to be. The foreigner is not the solution to the problem. He IS the problem.

“Here is what we are to do: We must gather together all those who are willing to cooperate into one part of the Body to work and share together for the health of the whole Body as you did before. It will be difficult at first, and there will still be shortages for a while, because we will be in the midst of hoarders, but in time we will demonstrate the laws of abundance. When the others see it they will follow our example, for in their hearts they yearn to return to the abundant life as it was.”

The newcomer set his hand at gathering together all those who would listen to his message and began to practice an interdependent cooperative order.

Now when the foreign cell heard of this he was very angry, for he had been receiving much praise and adoration and had received glory for the vast supplies of oxygen he had accumulated. He also donated some surplus oxygen from time to time to get the support of his comrades and was looked upon by many as a great benefactor.

The foreign cell spoke to his followers: “This upstart is a liar and deceiver. Do you really think he came here to help us? Of course not; he is after something. He wants power and dominion over you. Do you really think he came from a healed Body? I tell you there is no such thing. The struggle we are in will remain and those who are wise will have vast riches; whereas the ignorant will endure unspeakable suffering. If this poisonous philosophy the stranger teaches spreads, all of us will suffer. No one will have enough then. We will all be poor. We must attack this group of do-gooders and destroy them by completely shutting off their oxygen supply.”

Thus began the great war and struggle between the two groups of cells. The cooperative group was far inferior in numbers and many got discouraged and left, because for a time it seemed as if complete cooperation was impossible. But in the time of crisis the Body became aware that it could help itself by breathing more deeply and sent additional oxygen. Since it was a time of war, the cooperative group did all that was possible to gather oxygen for the group, but shared as one.

The uncooperative group gathered oxygen only on an individual basis and found their power to amass was not as great as it was, and, slowly at first, they found they were powerless to shut off their opponents’ oxygen. Next they began losing their reserves. Then, after a time, this group began to suffer lack whereas the cooperative group had abundance.

The foreign cell became very wroth, gnashed his teeth with great anger and began to abuse his fellow workers and ruled them with great fear. No one dared say it, but they now knew in their hearts that he was not the benefactor they had thought. Finally, he used his power so obnoxiously that his own fellows rebelled against him, created a prison, and threw him in it. They then approached the cooperative cells, desiring to join with them, and asking them to share their surplus oxygen with them.

The foreign teacher rejoiced at this, but desired to instruct them in the true principle of abundance, once and for all. He took all the surplus oxygen in the Body and released it so there was now no extra in existence. The cells all gasped with fear and disbelief.

“Do not fear, ” said the stranger. “I did this just to demonstrate that there need never be a shortage. There is always enough for all. Now here is all that we must do. Let no one try to hoard any oxygen. When the Body takes its next breath, only take that which you need for yourself and see what happens.”

They all did this with some apprehension, but everyone followed the instructions and did not hoard, but only took that which they needed. From that point in time on, to their delight, they found that every single cell in the Body had all the oxygen it could possibly use.

The Body was also delighted, for it experienced a miraculous recovery within a period of minutes.

All the cells in the Body were wiser now. They understood the principle of abundance and knew they would never lack again. Once in a while a foreign cell from a sick Body would drift into view and start hoarding everything in sight. Instead of joining him, this time they smiled knowingly and left him alone. After a while even the foreign cells lost interest in hoarding, for it had no meaning. After a time, they even let the first foreign cell out of his prison, for they saw he had no power to harm anyone and eventually even he stopped hoarding and came to believe in the principle of everlasting abundance for all.

The Molecular Business, Part IV

HOW TO GET EMPLOYEES INVOLVED

Employee involvement is a concern of every business, public and private, as long as there is one or more employees on the payroll.

How can it be accomplished?

How can employees be made to perceive themselves as part of the team?

How can they be made to feel and act more responsibly?

Numerous business courses, seminars and training meetings are held with this objective in mind.

Unfortunately, they all head the same direction. They teach the objective but not the solution.

The objective, of course, is to make the employee feel more involved like the business is his own. Numerous business courses hold this objective and vision before the eye of the student and points out how much more profitable the Company will be if this is achieved. Benefits, benefits, benefits are listed, listed, listed…, but where is the solution???

All the energy aimed at a solution is always directed toward management rather than the bottom line employee himself.

Basically, millions of dollars are spent in business courses for managers to aid employee incentive. The philosophy of such courses can be summed up in a nutshell as follows: The manager is supposed to be a nice guy and treat employees fairly, but also play games with them to make them feel involved. He is supposed to use a lot of common sense and lead in the most efficient manner and try to be one of the guys, yet maintain his authority and respect. The Company is to give numerous pep talks and offer incentives to make employees produce more.

The ideas presented by management and motivational courses are good, but they all make the mistake of tackling the branches of the problem and not the root. All solutions are temporary and not permanent.

We have already solved half of the problem of employee motivation by introducing the election process whereby workers can elect competent managers over them. This alone may booster employee moral and production by 50%.

What we need now is something to keep the incentive up day after day without the need of expensive courses and pep talks (which are minimal in their effects).

Wouldn’t it make sense to find the most motivated and involved worker there is, and then find out what it is that is the key to his motivation and, finally, take that motivating factor and instill it in the common worker?

That makes sense, doesn’t it?

And who is the most involved and motivated worker in the world? Who will work fourteen or more hours a day up to seven days a week whether the Company is making money or not? Who never steals from the Company and always, that is always, works for its benefit? Who is ever encouraging others toward better performance and dedication? Who is willing to miss meals, time with family and friends, put off buying luxuries for the Company’s sake, place his marriage on the line, take chances, be available at a minute’s notice, doesn’t mind being awakened in the middle of the night with a company problem and virtually has an eternal affair going on with the business? Who is this person?

The owner.

The owner is totally motivated and involved. It matters not if he has never seen a motivational or management course. He is involved in a way that managers only dream and wish their employees would be.

Ownership and control is involvement. It is a principle. It works automatically and does not have to be taught or learned. It just is.

Unless a person is completely indifferent to life, ownership brings an immediate sense of responsibility. There is probably no one more responsible and completely aware of the work that needs done than the small business owner.

Independent salespeople are also very motivated, for they have complete stewardship over their position and control over hours and workload.

Larger businesses have multiple owners. These owners still have a high sense of responsibility, but may have the disadvantage of one owner shifting responsibility to another owner.

Finally, we have the business which is largely owned by stockholders who are not employees. These non-participating owners are certainly concerned about the Company, but often have their hands tied as far as affecting company profits. Even so, they have a strong sense of involvement with the Company.

A general principle of success has always been to take a concept that works in one area and apply it in an adapted form to other areas.

If we want to instill a sense of involvement and responsibility in workers, we need to look at the most successful example: The small business owner. Therefore, we must take those principles that motivate him and apply them to all employees in a large business.

How do we do that?

We make all employees owners with a stewardship over their individual responsibilities.

How do we make them involved owners?

(1) All employees, even ground level workers who are just starting on the job, receive part of their pay in stock. Most other bonuses for performance are also paid in stock.

(2) Reversing the flow of authority of selection of key positions from the top down to the bottom up is a key ingredient to reversing this gap, but the next aspect we shall introduce should dispel this distance once and for all, and unite the various classes of a corporation into one working body.

(3) This next principle presented will be looked upon with a jaundice eye by many and will only be accepted by the world after it has proven itself beyond the point of argument. Only those who have nothing to lose, who are cooperative and team-spirited, will be able to embrace it at first. However, it should not be that startling. It is merely an extension of the most motivated worker in history: The small business owner.

Let us take the consciousness of the small business owner and visualize it spread over one thousand people in a large corporation. Let us see those thousand people as one entity operating a small business.

How does the small businessman pay himself?

How will the one thousand workers pay themselves?

They will both be paid on the same principle.

The small businessman puts his business first, realizing that the main priority is to have operating capital. Without this, the business would die and have no possibility of expansion or independence. His secondary monetary priority is money for him to live on which he takes home. He realizes that he can only take out income after he has taken care of operating expenses. His third priority is expansion capital. This is what is left over after he pays himself a livable wage and operating expenses. Sometimes he will even sacrifice some of his take-home pay with the idea that he can expand his business so his paycheck will be much larger in the future.

The principles that work for a small business can also work for a 1000-member corporation. Their first priority should be operating capital for supplies and overhead. Without enough of this the Company will greatly suffer and be in danger of closing its doors. Many companies go out of business for just this reason.

Operating capital should be the top priority, but instead unyielding employees, unions, laws and circumstances force a business to consider the worker’s wage first. The employee is to get paid in full no matter what, even if the Company goes broke and everyone loses his job and makes any money at all.

Can you see a small businessman paying himself a full wage during a short month and being unable to operate his business the next month? No. He will not do this. He will eat beans, if necessary, during the short month and then take out extra during a good month. This flexibility gives the small businessman an interesting edge over the large corporation.

On the other hand, a large corporation has many advantages. Imagine the extra stability it would have if all workers were involved owners who felt responsibility for the Company and were willing to sacrifice some of their paycheck during bad times and then pay themselves extra during good times. If a company had this flexibility, it would be almost impossible to go broke and it would give it a tremendous competitive edge.

The Molecular Business pays its workers differently than does the present authoritarian businesses. The workers get paid from two sources: stock and cash.

The amount of stock employees receive is dependent on the importance and skill of their jobs. The President of the Company, for instance, would receive much more stock than would the common worker, but all would receive some stocks, thus all would be owners in one degree or another.

The unique and perhaps controversial aspect of their take-home pay is the amount of money each would receive. All employees, from the president down to the first level worker, would receive exactly the same wage. The only way that one employee could receive more cash than another is if one works overtime, yet he still has the option of receiving this in stock.

Think of the effect this would have on Company moral and union. The President of the Company and the common worker both receive the same wage.

This principle would do more to end the division between management and labor than any other move. When two people receive the same take home pay, they are automatically in the same class.

It is true that people of similar interests will still gravitate together, but in this pay situation, none would tend to feel that he is in a world apart or above his co-worker.

One important point overlooked here is that this principle works consistently in nature, and all great discoveries are made by observing nature.

All the fears of the Molecular Business are unfounded and are held together by the weak ego which sees not unity, but separativeness.

Up to now all incentive in the business world has been built around the idea of separativeness, of two classes. Those who make a lot of money and those who barely survive. Everyone wants to be in the class that makes the money, and it is recognized that the opportunity is open to all, but in the present system, abundance is only available to a small percentage. All have a chance to be in that percentage, but not all have the advantages necessary to be there.

Those who have made it look at the have-nots judgmentally and say or think: “I am successful because of my enterprise and skill, and there is no reason anyone else cannot do the same. The only reason the unsuccessful one does not have abundance is because he either does not think correctly, or is lazy.”

This may be true for some. On the other hand, there are many people who are industrious and try to think positive, but made some wrong choices, had some bad breaks, did not have rich or helpful parents to help them get started and numerous other reasons why they did not make it into that elite percentage.

Another point is that success studies show that a large percentage of those who do acquire substantial success struggled through many failures and near poverty until after the age of forty.

Do we look at these successful peoples’ early lives and say that the reason they never had success earlier is because they were lazy or had a bad attitude?

In the businesses of the Old Age this separative thinking prevails. The philosophy is basically: “Each man (or woman) for himself.”

The coming age will be much different (and better). The keynote will be: “I seek to fulfill my brother’s dreams and in doing so I fulfill my own. I and my brother are one.”

In the Old Age business the dream is to be richer and better than your brother.

In the New Age the dream is equality and abundance for all.

As we have said, the Molecular Business is a natural principle. We will illustrate this by comparing it to nature. The workers in the business are like cells in our bodies. The money they are paid corresponds to oxygen.

In a healthy body one cell does not take a salary of ten units of oxygen and another cell, with the same needs, receives only one, but they both receive equal amounts. In times of health there seems to be little use in hoarding oxygen, for all cells can have all they need. What good does it do to have more than you need? It does not enhance health or happiness.

On the other hand, what happens if the body holds its breath and there is a shortage of oxygen? The cells cooperate and all take a little less. All suffer a little, none suffer a lot. The distress is merely a temporary inconvenience and when the body breathes again, abundance is restored.

The Molecular Business, Part III

HIRING NEW EMPLOYEES

Leadership in a new company operates on the same principle as that in an established company. The leaders are all selected by popular vote and after the first round is selected the hierarchy is subject to rearrangement at any time.

New employees always start at ground level, never on the managerial except in the creation of a new company. Even if they have had supervisory experience in the past, they will have to prove themselves anew in the Molecular Business. Others, of course, who have training in special skills such as engineering, architecture, law or some other specialty will not start out as a production worker. That would be counterproductive. A person with expertise should be able to start immediately using that skill. It is the positions of leadership that must be earned through the approval of peers. An occupational skill can usually be successfully taught, but leadership is something that must be demonstrated in the field to be believed.

All employees, including those on the ground level, should have a voice in the selection of their working partners. Even so, the manager will do the interviewing and leg work involved., but before the final hiring the group will have a discussion and then a vote on the candidates..

When there is a job vacancy in any work group, notice will be given to all workers in the group that there is an opening, and if they know of anyone they would enjoy working with they may put his name in for consideration. The manager may also put names forward. If they are satisfied that they have enough names to consider they need look no farther. If they lack names the manager will make available to them recent applications that have been made. They will look over these to select the remainder of the people they wish to interview.

One item that is suggested here is that the Company employ a qualified handwriting analyst and include his comments on the qualifications of the applicant with his application form. Having studied handwriting analysis for 25 years I am well aware of the value of this tool. A good analyst can discover qualities about a person in minutes that may take five years for a business, or even friends, to know.

When the working group has what they consider to be a sufficient number of names for consideration, they will, as a group, review the details of each application and will interview each applicant. In the job hunter’s absence, the group will then vote. The same majority rule applies as described in the previous voting procedure.

THE MANAGER

If the manager does not hire, fire, make everyone nervous and scare the hell out of his employees, then what does he do? The answer is quite simple…

He manages.

He might also be called a coordinator. The manager in the Molecular Business is the true servant.

He does not have final power to fire, but everyone recognizes that it is part of his job to see that everyone is performing as they should be. If not, he can call a meeting of the group any time and recommend some disciplinary action for a laggard. If he is a good manager he will have the support of the majority of the group and will be able to fire an employee who deserves it.

The same principle goes for hiring. If the manager has the respect of the group, he will have an earned authority and will find the workers will often support his suggestions.

In all other areas not specifically limited by this Molecular Business Principles, the manager has much more latitude and authority than one will in an orthodox business. In the regular business, he actually has little authority to apply creative ideas to his job because they are always checked by someone above him. In the Molecular Business he has complete authority to go ahead and initiate whatever, to him, seems to work as long as it does not interfere with the plans of the manager above him.

In the regular business a manager’s greatest authority is over the lives of his subordinates. In the Molecular Business he has little authority directly over his subordinates, but has complete authority to carry out his job.

Anyone in the working group can make suggestions, voice disagreements and add his wisdom without fear of reprisal, but it is recognized that the manager’s main job is to be a leader and to show the way to greater productivity.

In fact, this is why a manager is elected: simply because his peers recognize him as the definite leader of the group. Thus the group will have a natural inclination to follow him.

The manager has power to make decisions for the group and set goals without asking anyone’s permission. Before making any major decision, however, he will be expected to present the details to his group for their input. The manager’s power is always checked in the fact that, if he ignores the feelings and desires of the workers in his group, he will soon find himself challenged and replaced.

He has freedom to make decisions for the group, as a whole, but this power is also checked in the fact that if he makes bad decisions he will be challenged and replaced. The organization is set up so that the manager is literally forced to take the attitude of a servant, rather than one who must be served.

The manager is also a teacher. He will teach the whole group ideas and concepts he sees as pertinent to their success. He will either teach new employees their job or see that someone else does. He will also be a coordinator for his group where personality problems are concerned, and will help them find solutions so his group can function harmoniously.

After all comment and discussion has been made on a difficult decision, the manager’s decision is the final one. This is the end to which he was elected. If his decision is of poor quality then he can be voted out. Otherwise, as long as he is still the manager, the employees are under an obligation to support and follow his decision.

This pattern somewhat follows that of representative government outlined in the Constitution of the United States. Legislators are elected to represent us. In the Molecular Business this same pattern is found. Managers are elected, then they represent the group. The group gives input, but the managers have power to make the final decision as to work goals and procedures similar to the way they do now, but with less interference from above.

Nevertheless, the manager will find it extremely important to keep the goodwill of his employees and may ask for a vote of the workers on many items and make decisions based on majority vote. There are no black and white rules here. Rules cannot be made in advance for everything. Leaders in the various Molecular Businesses will solve their several problems as they come up.

The first-level manager, of course, has another manager over him. He has complete latitude over the implementation of his plans as long as they are in alignment with the manager above him. This is his only restriction. The lower must always harmonize with the direction of the higher until we come to the president of the Company where we will find a person with an army of workers under his unified direction. He will be a person who will have great employee support, not because of fear of his position, but because of earned and elected leadership.

The principles and powers we have discussed here that pertain to the first level manager apply to managers on all levels up to the President.

To summarize, the Molecular solution to incompetent management has many benefits:

(1) Intelligence will reach its own level quickly. Instead of losing brilliant people by shuffling them out or causing job burnout, the Molecular Business will draw them in and offer a consistently stimulating opportunity.
(2) Ground level workers will no longer feel like slaves. They will not be able to be fired according to the whim of the boss, and as long as they perform well, in the eyes of their fellow workers, they will have a job.
(3) The employee will always have the freedom to work for the benefit of the Company, not his boss.
(4) The worker will be able to participate in hiring co-workers so greater harmony is produced in the workplace.
