Parable of Abundance

By

J J Dewey

In the beginning, there lived a Body that dwelled in the land of fresh air. The Body saw that there was beautiful, clean, fresh air as far as they eye could see with all the life-giving oxygen one would ever need. The Body also saw the impossibility of ever having a shortage of oxygen because, after it breathed it in, it breathed it out in a different form that was food for plants. The plants showed their appreciation by reciprocating and regenerating more oxygen usable for the Body. Thus, the Body lived in a cycle of endless supply and expected to have abundance forever.

All the cells in the Body were also very happy and content. They drank deeply from the great breaths of oxygen the Body took. No one ever thought of saving, or hoarding, for all had all they needed. The brain cells needed a little more than some of the others, but no one seemed to mind, for they all had all they wanted and needed, and since all were fulfilled, everyone was considered equal. They functioned in perfect cooperation with the realization that all cells must be fulfilled for the Body to be healthy, and the Body must be healthy for any individual cells to be fulfilled. Thus they realized their interdependence, and with this realization came sublime independence.

The Body lived in a state of perfect functioning for a long long time until one day the land of fresh air was visited by a sick Body that was near death. This Body was off color, contorted with some dread disease, the eyes were cloudy, its temperature was hot, its breaths were shallow and quick and it could barely stand.

The sick Body told the healthy one: “I have one last request before I die. Share this apple with me and I will lie down in peace.” The sick Body took a bite and handed it to the healthy one. The healthy Body looked on with pity and took a bite, but when he did something strange happened. One of the cells from the sick Body hopped off onto the bite taken by the healthy one. The cell knew the Body he was in was dying and he saw an opportunity to start a new life in the healthy Body.

Unfortunately, the foreign cell brought with him the philosophy from the dying Body, a philosophy completely unknown and unthought of by the cells in the healthy Body.

In the sick Body, from whence came the foreign cell, there always seemed to be a lack of oxygen. At times they made futile attempts at sharing and being interdependent, but separateness seemed to prevail and the cells lived in a constant fear of lack. As the Body got sicker and sicker they seemed to be forced more and more to hoard up oxygen for themselves, or else they would not have enough for the morrow.

Now the foreign cell had just come out of this great struggle. He was one of the stronger ones and always seemed to be able to garner enough to insure his own strength, often at the expense of others, and when he found himself in a healthy Body with an abundance he was quite excited. He immediately started gathering around himself all the oxygen he could store. After this was complete he created storage containers and hoarded still more.

Some of the healthy cells were curious about him and gathered around to watch. They had never seen anyone hoard oxygen before, no one had even thought about it, for they had always lived in natural abundance. They had to ask: “Friend, why do you waste your time gathering around you oxygen when we live in perpetual abundance? There has never been a need for such a task.”

“You are ignorant fools!” said the foreign cell. “You assume that just because you had abundance in the past that you will have abundance in the future. I know from experience that this is not the case. I originated from another Body that was once healthy like this one, but health is a whimsical thing. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not. You have been fortunate that you have always had abundant oxygen. If your Body had had an extreme shortage, in your ignorance, you would have all starved to death, for none of you have ever had any oxygen put away. In your blindness you have always thought that you have had nothing to worry about. It is now time for you to wake up and take responsibility for your own health.

“Look at me,” he said. “If this Body were to get sick, as my previous Body did, and have an extreme shortage of oxygen, then I would be the only one here that would continue to have abundance. You would then look like fools and look toward me as your savior.”

The healthy cells listened in stunned silence. “We have always assumed that there would always be abundance,” they said. “Tell us what happened in your Body.”

“We lived the good life like you for a while,” said the foreign cell. “But all good things must end. Certain wiser cells realized this and started teaching others about the potential crisis. Some listened and started saving for the evil day. It’s a good thing we did because it was not long before we needed it. When the shortages came the ignorant ones who had saved nothing, but trusted to the abundant supply, were caught with their pants down. They suffered and tried to get those with savings to share with them, but they would not. If those wise ones who saved shared with those who had not, then neither would have enough. The shortage got worse and worse until all were force to take what they could. Now I was one of the few who never had lack all the way through the great ordeal and I am the only cell to yet remain alive. If you want to learn how to survive the coming crisis, that I am sure is coming to this Body, then you should listen to me.”

“What shall we do?” asked the other cells.

“We must labor diligently to gather and store up additional oxygen. I will be your leader and guide you in this for a percentage of what you gather, and surely I will be your savior; for I am the only one here with knowledge of things to come.”

The word of this new philosophy spread throughout the Body and caused a great consternation and division among the cells. Most did not believe there would ever be such a shortage, but some did and joined with the foreign cell in hoarding the oxygen.

After a period of time, those who did not hoard found that they were indeed suffering a lack, yet they continued sharing that which they had with each other and managed to survive all right. On the other hand, the hoarding cells took joy in the seeming correctness of their moves and lorded over the other cells. “See, we told you this would happen. Look at us. We have more abundance than ever because we worked harder than you and put away for the evil day.”

Some of the non-hoarding cells felt foolish at this and joined in with the hoarding cells and united with them in labor to gather all the possible oxygen.

As time passed the shortage among those who did not hoard became very severe. So great was their lack that many cells began to die. Those who remained were exceedingly alarmed and decided to cease any sharing and join the hoarders. Each cell had to gather what he could for himself. Thus, all the lives in the Body found themselves in the midst of a great struggle for survival, and the Body as a whole became very sick, approached the point of death and called in a friend who had once been sick to the point of death but survived.

The friend said: “This disease is a mystery. I am one of the few who was able to make a complete recovery and I know not why. But I do remember that I did begin to get better right after my father shared a glass of sweet nectar with me.”

The sick Body then asked: “Will you share a glass of nectar with me in the same way.”

The friend agreed and took a glass of nectar, first taking a drink himself and then giving to the sick Body to drink.

Now, one of the cells in the friend’s Body, who had lived through the disease and recovered, desired to help his millions of brother cells in distress and hopped into the nectar and was transported to the sick Body.

When he arrived there he found a sad state of affairs. Cell was struggling against cell in a fierce battle for survival, oxygen and control. Very little cooperation seemed to exist. He cried out: “Listen to me, Oh ye cells, for the Body does not have to die and you do not have to lack. I come from a Body that had great health, then was sick, but was later healed, and I know the secret of healing.”

Most thought the newcomer was a crackpot, but a few listened. “There is plenty of oxygen for all,” he continued. “We must return to being our brother’s keeper, stop the hoarding and cooperate with each other. Then all will have abundance.”

A heckler came forward: “When the shortage first occurred we tried that and it did not work. Our only salvation is to follow the example of the foreign cell and work to gather surplus.”

The newcomer spoke again: “It only seems that way. Your greed has led you into an illusion so deep that you cannot see your way out. The foreign cell came from a Body which died. I came from one that lived! Your whole problem is what you think is the solution. The greed and hoarding create the shortage. The Body breathes in enough oxygen for all. Labor for the health of the Body, and not your individual selves. The Body will give you all the oxygen you can possibly use just the way it used to be. The foreigner is not the solution to the problem. He IS the problem.

“Here is what we are to do: We must gather together all those who are willing to cooperate into one part of the Body to work and share together for the health of the whole Body as you did before. It will be difficult at first, and there will still be shortages for a while, because we will be in the midst of hoarders, but in time we will demonstrate the laws of abundance. When the others see it they will follow our example, for in their hearts they yearn to return to the abundant life as it was.”

The newcomer set his hand at gathering together all those who would listen to his message and began to practice an interdependent cooperative order.

Now when the foreign cell heard of this he was very angry, for he had been receiving much praise and adoration and had received glory for the vast supplies of oxygen he had accumulated. He also donated some surplus oxygen from time to time to get the support of his comrades and was looked upon by many as a great benefactor.

The foreign cell spoke to his followers: “This upstart is a liar and deceiver. Do you really think he came here to help us? Of course not; he is after something. He wants power and dominion over you. Do you really think he came from a healed Body? I tell you there is no such thing. The struggle we are in will remain and those who are wise will have vast riches; whereas the ignorant will endure unspeakable suffering. If this poisonous philosophy the stranger teaches spreads, all of us will suffer. No one will have enough then. We will all be poor. We must attack this group of do-gooders and destroy them by completely shutting off their oxygen supply.”

Thus began the great war and struggle between the two groups of cells. The cooperative group was far inferior in numbers and many got discouraged and left, because for a time it seemed as if complete cooperation was impossible. But in the time of crisis the Body became aware that it could help itself by breathing more deeply and sent additional oxygen. Since it was a time of war, the cooperative group did all that was possible to gather oxygen for the group, but shared as one.

The uncooperative group gathered oxygen only on an individual basis and found their power to amass was not as great as it was, and, slowly at first, they found they were powerless to shut off their opponents’ oxygen. Next they began losing their reserves. Then, after a time, this group began to suffer lack whereas the cooperative group had abundance.

The foreign cell became very wroth, gnashed his teeth with great anger and began to abuse his fellow workers and ruled them with great fear. No one dared say it, but they now knew in their hearts that he was not the benefactor they had thought. Finally, he used his power so obnoxiously that his own fellows rebelled against him, created a prison, and threw him in it. They then approached the cooperative cells, desiring to join with them, and asking them to share their surplus oxygen with them.

The foreign teacher rejoiced at this, but desired to instruct them in the true principle of abundance, once and for all. He took all the surplus oxygen in the Body and released it so there was now no extra in existence. The cells all gasped with fear and disbelief.

“Do not fear,” said the stranger. “I did this just to demonstrate that there need never be a shortage. There is always enough for all. Now here is all that we must do. Let no one try to hoard any oxygen. When the Body takes its next breath, only take that which you need for yourself and see what happens.”

They all did this with some apprehension, but everyone followed the instructions and did not hoard, but only took that which they needed. From that point in time on, to their delight, they found that every single cell in the Body had all the oxygen it could possibly use.

The Body was also delighted, for it experienced a miraculous recovery within a period of minutes.

All the cells in the Body were wiser now. They understood the principle of abundance and knew they would never lack again. Once in a while a foreign cell from a sick Body would drift into view and start hoarding everything in sight. Instead of joining him, this time they smiled knowingly and left him alone. After a while even the foreign cells lost interest in hoarding, for it had no meaning. After a time, they even let the first foreign cell out of his prison, for they saw he had no power to harm anyone and eventually even he stopped hoarding and came to believe in the principle of everlasting abundance for all.

The Unveiling – The Path of the Disciple

The real meaning of the Book of Revelation is nothing like students have been taught but contains teachings in symbolic code disguised as an end of the world scenario to insure it would be included in the canon as we now have it. These teachings, previously hidden from view, tell the aspiring disciple how to tread the path that the Master has outlined. This is why the book was called the “Unveiling of Jesus Christ,” commonly mistranslated as “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” – or in short “The Book of Revelation.”

The Cala Within

The Cala Within

By

J J Dewey

In the land of Sava, many years ago, there lived a people called the Jala who were often paralyzed by their enemies. They could not seem to ever be the masters of their destinies because of their powerlessness and lived in fear daily.

Legends existed among the people of Jala that there would one day come among them a powerful man who would fight these enemies for them so they would no longer be subject to those who abused them at will. This man, they thought, would be superhuman and enthroned king of the region so all their enemies would have to bow before him.

After a long wait for deliverance many began to lose faith in the appearance of such a man, but then one day, almost unnoticed, a fairly ordinary looking man walked into town. Outside of being a little taller than average, and a little thinner than most, there was nothing unusual about this person. Even his dress was very simple, certainly not giving the appearance of potential royalty, and his slight frame gave no evidence to one with the super strength of a conqueror.

The man stayed for several days before he first drew attention at the town square, where there was an image of the god of the region who was Elume.

This image was etched of fine gold and silver and it was believed that the spirit of Elume dwelt within the image and had power to grant the answers to all petitions. To petition Elume, one had to pass through a gate and kiss the feet of the image. Now the people of Sava were forbidden by law to pass through this gate, and if any should do so, kiss the feet of the image of Elume, such a one should be killed.

There was one called Patro who greatly desired to overthrow his enemies and felt that if he could kiss the feet of the image, he would be granted his wish for the destruction of his oppressors and gain freedom for his people.

As the stranger watched on, Patro crashed through the gate and approached the image, but before he could kiss its feet and make his wish, he was subdued by the guards who began to drag him away to his execution. As they dragged Patro by, the stranger stood, stretched out his hand and said: “Stop!”

The guards paused smiled with amusement and attempted to continue, but the stranger said in a still louder voice: “Stop!”

This time it seemed that some invisible force stopped the guards and they dropped Patro. They were beside themselves and attempted to grab Patro again, but a third time the stranger commanded: “Stop!” and they were thrown back and unable to touch him.

At this the guards were very angry and rushed at the stranger to do him harm. Again he stretched out his arm and said: “Stop!”

At this command the guards were thrown back with strong force and were filled with fear and ran away. Patro was so thankful that he approached the stranger to kiss his feet, but the stranger said “No! You shall not kiss my feet neither shall you kiss the feet of dead Gods. Follow me and you shall stand on your own feet and have power over your enemies.

“Who are you and what is your name?” said Patro.

“My name is Jeros, Master of the Cala,” He said.

“What is the Cala?” asked Patro.

Jeros paused and said: “the Cala is the same power that the people ascribe to the false god Elume. The power that they believe resides in the image of gold and silver resides instead in the human heart. I have found Cala and have learned to manifest it in the world of men.”

“Will you teach me about this Cala?” asked Patro.

“Yes, I will,” said Jeros. “Gather your friends and bring them to me three days hence and you too can be masters of Cala.

Patro excitedly went to his friends and family and told them about Jeros.

Some believed his story and some did not, but he did manage to gather a band of believing men and women to meet with Jeros on the third day.

They met in a secret place and sat at the feet of Jeros and listened.

“What I do with the Cala all can do. The Cala is for protection only.

When an enemy comes at you seeking to do harm the Cala reverses his energy back upon himself. Thus if one seeks to do you harm the only one he harms is himself. You are not to use the Cala to initiate harm, or control, or the, Cala, will retreat to the secret place within yourself and be as if it is not.”

As he spoke, the authorities came into the meeting to arrest him, but as they approached Jeros, he raised both hands outstretched towards them.

Suddenly all the energy that was expended in pressing toward Jeros was pushed back against them, and the authorities were pushed back and fell to the ground. They rose and rushed at Jeros a second time, and again they were pushed back by an invisible force and fell to the earth. This time they were filled with fear and ran away.

The students were filled with awe at this demonstration and Patro rose up and proclaimed: “My friends! Hail to Jeros, Master of the Cala, the power of the gods.”

“Hail to Jeros, the Cala Master!” returned the crowd.

Jeros rose up and said: “You do not understand. I did not come here to be your master, but to teach you to be Masters of the Cala yourselves.”

“But you use the Cala in a way that we never can,” said one. “In all our history no one has ever done a miracle such as you have just demonstrated.”

Jeros groaned within himself and replied: “Believe on my words and greater powers will you have than that which you have seen me manifest, for as the Cala is in me, so will it be realized in you.

As he spoke, a young boy approached and said: “Master. Many men are coming! They have sent an army of the strongest men to apprehend you. Not even you can resist hem. We must flee!”

“No,” said Jeros. “We shall not flee. But here is an opportunity for you to use the Cala yourself and apply that which I taught you, but you must not fear.”

The students tried to apply the teaching of Jeros, but as the soldiers approached, they began to fear, and the students were struck down in their path. When the others saw the first were vulnerable, they feared all the more and lost all contact with the Cala.

As they approached Jeros, he stood and stretched out his hand again and every single soldier fell back with great force. Again this was repeated a second time and the soldiers all quickly retreated with fear in their hearts.

At this great miracle the people thought with one accord within themselves that surely this man was a Master of Cala in a way that none before or after will ever be.

Jeros perceived their thoughts and said, “The time is not at hand to establish the Cala among you in fullness. I will stay for a short time and teach a few of you what you are ready to learn, and then I must go to other lands and give others the opportunity that I have given you.

Jeros therefore stayed a short while and taught them what they were ready to learn and parted with this statement: “I must go away and visit other students, but keep my teachings in your hearts and seek to become as I am.

In the future I will return and teach again. It is my hope that you will learn to master the Cala in my absence so our union will be one of joy.”

At this Jeros went to a far country and many felt he was never to be seen again.

The students gathered together in his absence and wrote down a prime directive of belief which read:

“The great Jeros dwelt with us and used the Cala in a way that has never been seen among men, nor has been seen since. We therefore declare Jeros to one, the one and only true Master of the Cala. It is therefore blasphemy for any of us to consider that we may be a Master, as is Jeros, and if one so claims to be such a Master, this wicked one will be scourged and executed.

Hail to the one true Master of Cala.”

The followers, though, did gain confidence in their own power, thinking Jeros was with them, and overthrew their enemies and tore down the image of Elume. After this they melted down the gold and silver and cast a new image after their remembrance of Jeros, and did bow down and kiss the feet of this image, and did make petitions to the image of Jeros as the people previously did to Elume.

Now there were several which diligently listened to Jeros and did remember his teachings accurately. Patro and several others wrote them down and secretly passed them around. But when the caretakers of the image discovered this, they sought out these followers and had them killed and attempted to destroy all the writings. No matter how hard the new authorities tried to eliminate the true students and writings, they always seemed to surface again and it seemed that a true seeker could always find the real teachings of Jeros. This situation continued for many years until the time approached for Jeros to return to the land of Sava.

He entered the land under cover of darkness at midnight, walked again into the town square and looked at the image of himself where the false God Elume once stood. Jeros wept for a moment and then stood and said:

“Wherever the seeds of the Cala are cast, true followers will manifest. Where are you?”

At that Jeros tuned in to the Cala within him and perceived that true students were indeed in the land and that he would seek them out.

But he thought that he would disguise himself and go about the in the land and teach the principle of Cala. Alas, if he presented himself as the mighty Master, many were expecting even the hardest of hearts would believe.

Instead he sought to gather those who could perceive the pure vibration of the Cala.

He thus went about in disguise, which was easy for him to do as he was much older now, and the people’s memories were fuzzy as to his true appearance.

He went to the wilderness areas and found true seekers of the Cala who had been cast off by the authorities. As he gathered them around himself, many began to fear of being found out and persecuted or killed. Jeros said: “When I was here last time I demonstrated the power of Cala and having done so you thought I was unique and different from yourselves. But, my beloved ones, we are all brethren and what one can do, all can do. This time you must learn to use the Cala for yourselves. Thus we will continue to gather and when the authorities come you will follow my words and use the power yourselves.

The disciples continued to study and learn until they did attract the attention of the authorities and, as they were having a meeting, officers did come to arrest them. The students looked to Jeros for protection, but then he looked back and said: “Do not look to my form, find the Cala within.”

The disciples were nervous, but they held steady and quieted their fears and found the Cala as the officers approached. A disciple stood up, raised his hand and by the power of the Cala he reversed the aggressive energy of the officers. As before the officers fell back. They rushed again and fell back again. At this the chief officer bowed down before the disciple and said: “Surely you are Jeros come again.”

The disciple replied: “Jeros has come again, but I am not he, but I have found the Cala.”

The officers then went back to the authorities who became very distraught at hearing this and sent a division of the army to subdue the group. This time twenty-four students stood up and repelled the army with great power.

Each time they attempted attack, an invisible force came back at them.

Each time they fired a weapon, the weapon injured one of their own. After a time the army retreated back to the authorities to report their defeat and testified to them of the power of Cala which was now manifest.

The authorities acknowledged that the group definitely had some power from somewhere, obviously some evil entity who is an enemy of the true Jeros.

They then sent a petition to peacefully meet with the leader of the group.

When Jeros received this he said: “Now is the time for me to play my part.”

The authorities came and said to the group: “Some think that Jeros has come again. Tell us where he is so we can worship him.”

Jeros stood up and said: “I do not want your worship. If you wish to worship, worship the One God.”

The lead authority stepped forward: “If you are truly Jeros show us a sign.”

Jeros replied, “Only a self deceived and unfaithful disciple is guided by outward signs.

“Even if I did give you a sign you would not believe, for you do not wish to believe I have returned.”

The lead authority approached closer and said: “Without a sign how can we know you are he, for you are much older than the image we remember.”

“The only true sign is the Cala within,” Jeros replied.

This very much angered the lead authority and he took out a secret knife and attempted to thrust it into Jeros; but as he did the energy reversed and he stabbed himself in the leg. As the authority lay screaming on the ground, his associates were filled with fear and they attempted to worship Jeros, but Jeros stopped them and said: “your worship has no meaning. I am no more to you than the lifeless image in the town square. Go your way and bother these, my friends, no more, for what you do unto them shall be done to you.”

At that the authorities retreated but, because of pride, could not bring themselves to tell their people that they had discovered Jeros. Instead they found that he, who they thought they had loved all these years, was really one who they hated. And they spent the rest of their years in frustration seeking how they might destroy that which they thought they worshipped.

But those who found the true Cala, grew in numbers until they filled the whole land, for none could cause them fear or create harm. It was not long before the authorities seemed to vanish and every single inhabitant seemed to acknowledge the Cala within and gladness, happiness and joy were in the hearts of all.

PARABLE OF THE BODY

Hear the parable of the body:

In the land of partial lives there lived numerous body parts.  Each part had a different shape and a different talent.  The head spent his attention on thinking and dreaming.  Each eye spent its attention on seeing all there was to see.  The nose seemed reasonably happy in merely smelling the beautiful fragrances of the earth.   The mouth loved  to taste of the many foods that were abundant in the land.  The legs were restless and loved to wander around in the land trying to feel  what new things were there for them.  The arms were not capable of such movement and were pretty much confined to one location, but were expert at taking the materials within their reach and having complete control over their movement and order.

Finally, there was the main body which was controlled by the heart.  The heart was a Master of Wisdom whose life energy was connected with all other life energies of completed bodies.  He was familiar with the advantages of having a completed body  and gazed with a certain degree of pity on the various body parts in the land of partial lives.  He knew that they all felt that something was lacking, but the various parts seemed oblivious as to what it was.  The heart  realized that if he could solicit their cooperation in creating a whole body then they would all be greater than the sum of the parts and by their cooperation and sharing they could have an enjoyment of life beyond anything they have dreamed.

The problem was that each body part was extremely limited on its own and because of the severe handicap that each was under,  it would be difficult to get them to see enough advantage to put together a whole body. For instance an eye could see, but it couldn’t get the whole picture without the other eye and without the help of the ears it could hear nothing.  The legs could walk but could not appreciate where they were because they had no eyes to see.  The arms could reach out, but they were limited because they had no legs to carry them and no eyes to discern the quality of that which they held.  Worst of all,  none of the parts were connected to the main body controlled by the heart.  Without the heart they had no real life.  They were deceived into thinking that the temporary elemental life they presently had was all there was.

Heart contemplated long and hard.  He greatly desired a completed body, not only for the benefit of the parts, but also for himself.  All he could now offer the physical world was love and wisdom, but he was very limited in this and he saw that his power to express himself would be multiplied many times if he had a completed body.  He had to start somewhere and it occurred to him that his best chance of beginning was with the head.  Heart saw that over the years the head had many thoughts, dreams and aspirations, but none of them could hold his attention for long because they lacked the very energy that Heart had.  Heart saw that if he could touch a dream of Head with his energy then nothing could prevent its manifestation.  Heart waited.  He could not energize just any dream, it had to be a special one.

After a long period the time arrived as it always does to him who patiently waits.  Head began to feel that there was more to living than just being a head and dreamed a dream of something more, of wholeness.  Heart seized the opportunity and poured into the head his feeling of desire and love for this concept.  Head then began to realize that  this dream was different. This one would not flit away like the others because Head felt love from Heart toward it and knew that he could never let go of something like this because it was leading him to some glorious destiny.

Head began to tune into Heart and Heart was glad so he took his next step and sent Head a feeling of the possibilities of a completed body and asked Head to join him now so the two could become one.  Head agreed and when the joining took place Head saw a vision of the completed body.  “Now I know the feelings Heart sent me were correct,”  said Head.  “Now I know we must complete the body and pave the way for many other completed bodies.”

At first Head thought it would be easy to complete a body.  “There is such a tremendous advantage for all the parts becoming whole you would think all the partial lives would be thrilled with the opportunity,” he thought.

To Head’s dismay he found  that few were interested or would even listen. They all thought that happiness consisted in strengthening the powers they already had.  “I want to hear better,” said an ear.  “I want to run faster,”  said a leg who did not even realize that he needed the support of another leg before he could have any real speed.  “I want to smell the yellow roses,”  said the nose who thought that there was nothing beyond enjoying a sweet fragrance.  All the parts gave a similar reply.  All felt incomplete, not because they thought they needed other parts, but because they were deceived into thinking they needed more of what  they already had.

The parts seemed to either think the whole body was a pipe dream, or that it was something to be created far in the future.  The eye gave a typical response.  “Why should I concern myself with being a whole body when I have not seen everything yet?  When I can see perfectly and see everything, then maybe I’ll be ready to join a body.”

Head was somewhat disappointed.  He knew the body was not a pipe dream and he also knew Eye would never see all there was or see it perfectly.  He knew the opportunity was now, but was there anyone who could see it?

Finally, Head presented the vision to a mouth and Mouth was curious and sought contact with Heart.  Mouth received desire and love for the whole body from Heart as did Head and joined with the two.  The three now became one.  Head enjoyed using Heart and Mouth to feel and speak his dreams. Mouth enjoyed using the dreams of Head and feelings of Heart to give life to his words.  Then too, Heart enjoyed using Head and Mouth to enunciate his desires.

The three labored many years in search of parts who would cooperate in the creation of a body.

Finally came the day when a few parts gathered around Head who were interested in the idea.  Some paid more attention than others, but most received some energy from Heart.  Thus they began to not only understand, but to feel the sense of purpose behind the body.

Heart sent a message through Head that all those who feel the desire for completeness should make a commitment toward the union and growth of the body.  Most eagerly went ahead and did this.  Several were not sure and held back to wait for more assurance.

All joined in the creation of the body in the beginning and all felt some peaceful energy  from Heart.   Heart wished he could send more, but the amount of energy he could send depended on the amount of link-up the members had with him and each other.  Nevertheless, there was enough cooperation that the members generally felt good about the direction they were going.

Some of the members began to struggle with the commitment they had taken. They had promised to use all their power at their command to help in the creation and union of the body.  But some did not understand and reasoned among themselves, until one of the legs said:  “I am spending too much time helping the body and getting nothing back.  I would do more good for myself as well as the body if I strengthened my own muscles and worked with other unconnected parts out there helping them to increase their own abilities. At least my power to stand will be recognized there.”

Thus did the leg sever himself from the body except for an occasional visit to see how they were standing with a leg missing.  When he saw the body floundering in any attempt to move forward he thought:  “I knew I was right in withdrawing my energy.  Just look at the body’s pathetic state with a leg missing.”  Other parts nearby who also considered the body a ridiculous idea came and looked and laughed at the body.  Some members felt a feeling of shame, others tried to ignore the scorners.

Heart felt a sad feeling and Head felt it with him.    Heart said to Head: “This leg was too anxious to receive  strength.  When a leg joins to support a body it will feel weaker at first because of the extra load.  The weakness made the leg discouraged and he gave up before I could reward him with my energy.  All parts must receive my energy or they cannot live in the body.  If he  could have felt a fullness of the talents of all the body parts, he would have received much satisfaction in helping the body move from one place to another and sharing in the feeling, the thinking, the hearing, the seeing, the smelling, the tasting…

“Separative parts may laugh because we are missing a leg, but there are other legs, and if our leg does not come back then I will replace him and the body will stand up again and the strength thereof will overwhelm the severed leg.  He will then feel his own ability to stand decreasing whereas the legs attached to the body will grow in strength and fulfillment.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and sup with him, and he with me.

“Do not wait until you are weak to come to me, my friend, help me while you are yet in your strength.”

“You complain that the body is in danger of dying, and rightly so, but you blame it on everything but the real cause.  Give me my power to breathe and I will fill you with life.  The heart must receive oxygen, but it gives out to all cells in the body more than it receives.  Give me power to have oxygen and you shall have gifts and more returned to you.  Why do you not believe this?  Do you not think that I have power to return the gift? Behold, my power is increased as more parts give, but if one part of my body is not working then I must put my attention on it and either heal it or it must be replaced.

“What do you expect me to do if the ear does not hear, or the eye refuses to see for the body, but only for itself?   I make the head feel after it to try and activate it and what answer do we get?  You are trying to force us.  or you are not letting the ear be the ear.

“No one forced you to seek union through the body, but now you have made the commitment you do have a responsibility to do your share.  If I remind you of your responsibility you feel forced, but this is your own fault. Live up to your responsibilities that you have freely accepted and you shall be free.   If responsibility makes you feel forced then you should ask the head to be relieved of having any responsibility which is being relieved of your commitment.  If a part does not believe in taking the responsibility of living up to the commitment  then he should not be under it.

“If the ear is only hearing for itself and not for the body, then I will point out the need for cooperation.  I am not trying to get the ear to be anything other than the ear.  On the contrary, I am saying that if the ear is joined to the body, then it must play its role and be the ear.  I will graciously accept whatever the ear can give, but if it gives nothing at all then it is not being an ear for us, is it?

“Thus saith the still small voice of your Master.  Oh ye parts of my body, or parts that aspire to be my body.  How can we have a body together unless we are all cooperatively able to see, feel, hear, breathe, taste, smell and move?  I  need you and you need me, but I will not work with a body that is dead.  Be alive and you will feel me.   Care for the whole and you shall hear me.  Open your eyes and you can see me. I am not far away and the day is at hand when the heart center in the head will be open and you will hear my voice through the head.  I will come to all of you in an hour that ye think not.  Therefore, be ready.

“Behold, if you listen to the words of the Master speaking within your hearts and do according to the feelings which are from me a great miracle can happen.  The ears that were loosely connected upside down will join themselves correctly, cooperate together and the whole body will hear the voice of God together in agreement.   The eyes which have been suffering with amblyopia will see together as one and the vision of strength, abundance and happiness through union will be wonderful to gaze upon and the whole body will see it together.  The nose which has been smelling yellow roses for itself will then smell the flowers of heaven for the body and send the sweet fragrance of enlightenment to all body members.  The arms which have been  fruitlessly grasping for purpose in the dark will, with the help of the eyes, be able to see in the light of day that which has always been there.  They will then easily reach forth and hold with great strength and surety on to purpose and the whole body together will experience the joy of the creation of God.

The legs will join their strength, face the same direction and gladly shoulder the weight of the body.  They will increase in strength until they will be able to carry the whole body more easily than they carried themselves alone.  The throat which has been  speaking  afar off will be attracted to his right place and put the inspiration of God into words that will make all members proud of the body.  The head which has been putting all his thought into the survival of the body will be free to dream new dreams, give the body new goals and vision, and show the parts new worlds to conquer.

The heart, which has had trouble touching all the parts with its life-force and love, will be free to share the feelings of the peace of God, the fires of heaven, and the bliss of union.

Can you not see that all are to enjoy the fruits of the body as one life? Each individual part will be able to go wherever it wants with the help of the legs,  see where it is going with the help of the eyes, hear the birds sing along the way thanks to the ears, smell the flowers with the help of the nose, gather up valuables with the help of the arms, sing the songs of angels with the help of the throat, dream the dreams of God with the help of the brain, and feel the Love of God with the help of the heart.

“Remember the words of the ancient scripture:  The Lord our God is One.”

“May the peace of God be with you.”
