Belief – Faith

Ruth: So we should always question our soul and intuition? Isn’t the Spirit within the true voice anyway? Entering the Kingdom is entering the spiritual consciousness, rather than the lower consciousness.

JJ The trouble is that we have two voices within. The first is a voice created by the emotional/astral self. This was that which was called in the Bible “the heart which is deceitful above all things.” This does not represent the true heart energies but is the closest thing to it until the energy of spiritual love is recognized.

Many people seek the inner voice for lifetimes and the highest they achieve is the astral voice that always leads them to upside down truths and keeps them in illusion.

The seeker must question all things, including the astral inner voice before he can find the sure voice of the soul.

Then when he first discovers the true voice he will have difficulty in accepting it as real at first and will question its reality. It is only after the true voice proves itself a number of times that the seeker finally accepts it as reliable and begins to trust it. After he has proven its reliability and trusts it the power of the voice is increased until it becomes strong enough that there is no question that the seeker is hearing the true voice when it comes.

A sure reliance on the true voice will take a number of lifetimes and for the seeker who has mastered it in the past – he will still have to remaster it in the current life – though it could be much quicker because he doesn’t have to start from scratch.

Ruth How does one first prove or test that Jesus will raise another person from the dead, until the actual deed has taken place?

JJ Martha had already seen Jesus perform a lot of miracles and this increased her faith. To her credit the inner voice confirmed that Jesus could raise Lazarus and she accepted this.

Ruth quoting me: “He who masters intuition knows, and knows that he knows, and knows why he knows.”

JJ But before this happens the seeker will mistake the astral voice many times for the true voice. After all, he has nothing to compare the astral voice to until he hears and recognizes the true voice.

Ruth: Oh now I get it. So when God told Joe Smith to go west and save himself, he said no because he was too skeptical of that inner voice and had to test it, so he went and got killed instead?

JJ He wasn’t skeptical of the inner voice. He knew he should have followed it but the pressure from his wife, brother and others just got the best of him and he ignored the voice to his peril.

Ruth: For the rest of my life and the next and next one, I am supposed to question all of JJ’s teachings, all of Jesus teachings and all of the DK teachings, just in case they are all wrong?

Interesting.

JJ It doesn’t matter if God himself is speaking question anything that doesn’t make sense and seek understanding until you can make sense of a thing and have it register positive with your soul. I question DK regularly and this helps me see his teachings from a wider angle.

Ruth Glad Mary and Martha and all those other women did not question their soul voice when it came to Jesus depending on their faith and belief in those healings.

JJ But they did question it many times previously until they learned to recognize the difference between the true voice and the astral.

Ruth If I was to continuously question that which I know is true, then I will never truly believe in myself or my ability to know truth via soul.

JJ Use the things you are sure is true as a foundation, but ever so often one must reexamine himself and question all things. I do this with myself. If I didn’t do this I would probably still be a regular church member as when I was younger I was very sure that I was on the path of highest knowledge, but because I was open to all things I discovered I was wrong and reset my compass.

However, the true principles that were confirmed by my soul when I was younger are still true today. I just needed a path correction and needed the realization that the soul only gives you the portion of a picture that you can handle at the time.

Here was a readers comments in PI which I thought was interesting:

What’s the big deal? We cannot handle doubling a constant? Besides, while some formulas are simpler, others are more complex. Circumference becomes Tau x R instead of 2 x Pi x R, but at the same time Tau x D / 2 instead of Pi x D. Area of the circle is now Tau x R^2/2 instead of a simpler Pi x R^2. I think what this “innovation” shows is that we have gotten so bad at math that we are not able to perform trivial algebraic and arithmetic transformations intuitively. But if calling 2xPi Tau saves space in some formulas, why not use it? At the same time, we still need Pi to keep others simple.

Glad you like that series. I got distracted and never returned to finish that book. I still plan on doing so one day not too far away now. When finished it may capture some attention.

What lives fuse to enter the kingdom?

Dan: So, when a human “graduates” to the god kingdom, what lives fuse?

JJ First remember that higher correspondences are loosely like the lower but are also different. The correspondences are never exact and the higher must be discern intuitively. Seeking an exact correspondence will never reveal the full truth for the life of God is always applying new intelligence on each new level.

We are all fragments of a greater whole. When a successful human molecule is created the various entities create stations for the atomic units but these may not be your true fragmented parts. As you enter the next kingdom your soul searches for your true parts that you will fuse with. It may be some time before this happens as other parts of yourself may not yet have entered the fifth kingdom but are regular humans not yet aware of you.

Dan: So for those of us not at the gathering, what are the benefits of spinning JJ? And why is one direction (clockwise, if you laid a clock face-up on the ground) better than the other?

JJ I got an email from a woman’s only website that was supposed to contain a weight loss secret connected to spinning. I guess with a handle like “JJ” they didn’t know I was a guy. I decided to check it out. The site is at: http://www.weightlossguideforwomen.com

The author says she has received many positive comments of improvements in health from people who practice spinning clockwise, but if they spin the other way nothing much happens.

I found the book you linked to enlightening, however, because it explains the principle of activating the spinning energy centers in the body with a number of exercises. I plan on diligently applying these and monitoring the results.

Ruthangel I’m wondering if clockwise or counter clockwise had anything to do with the hemisphere???

JJ The body needs to spin clockwise not because of anything esoteric but because the energy centers it stimulates spin that direction. The clockwise spinning stimulates the spin of the centers in their natural direction and this increases energy flow to the whole body. That is the teaching anyway.

It is true that the natural spin of our various centers is linked to higher things but that is another subject.

I’d recommend reading the booklet Larry and Dan referenced.

Diet Sodas

I want to thank all those who came to the gathering. It was one more special occasion. A lot of the attraction for the group is just meeting each other and mingling.

The theme for the gathering was health and we covered a lot of good material but there were several things that I forgot to mention. One very important one was diet sodas and artificial sweeteners.

From the time I first tasted artificial sweetener I knew that they are not good for you. It tastes like nothing natural on earth – like it is manufactured from some chemical waste dump.

What really amazed me is how many people used them and seemed to actually like them. The only explanation I can think of is you acquire a taste after you use them for a while. As for me this was not something I want to acquire a taste for but even so a couple times a year I may drink something with artificial sweeteners as it is in so many things that it is difficult to avoid completely.

It is difficult to tell what has artificial sweeteners from the label as there are so many variations of them with numerous names. I read that they are sometimes added to natural sweeteners and not listed in the ingredients. Sometimes the only way you can tell is from the taste.

Below is the results of several studies showing some of the disadvantages. It is interesting that people use them to save calories, but those who drink diet sodas gain more weight than those who use regular sugar drinks.

I think the problems it causes are much greater than revealed by any study so far. Michael J. Fox was famous for endorsing Diet Pepsi and look at he poor guy now. I wouldn’t be surprised if the diet drinks weren’t largely responsible for his condition.

Anyway – here’s some thought provoking data.

The Studies

People who drink diet soft drinks don’t lose weight. In fact, they gain weight, a new study shows.

The findings come from eight years of data collected by Sharon P. Fowler, MPH, and colleagues at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. Fowler reported the data at the annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association in San Diego.

“What didn’t surprise us was that total soft drink use was linked to overweight and obesity,” Fowler tells WebMD. “What was surprising was when we looked at people only drinking diet soft drinks, their risk of obesity was even higher.”

In fact, when the researchers took a closer look at their data, they found that nearly all the obesity risk from soft drinks came from diet sodas.

“There was a 41% increase in risk of being overweight for every can or bottle of diet soft drink a person consumes each day,” Fowler says. More Diet Drinks, More Weight Gain

Fowler’s team looked at seven to eight years of data on 1,550 Mexican-American and non-Hispanic white Americans aged 25 to 64. Of the 622 study participants who were of normal weight at the beginning of the study, about a third became overweight or obese.

For regular soft-drink drinkers, the risk of becoming overweight or obese was:

26% for up to 1/2 can each day 30.4% for 1/2 to one can each day 32.8% for 1 to 2 cans each day 47.2% for more than 2 cans each day.

For diet soft-drink drinkers, the risk of becoming overweight or obese was:

36.5% for up to 1/2 can each day 37.5% for 1/2 to one can each day 54.5% for 1 to 2 cans each day 57.1% for more than 2 cans each day.

New research that links diet soda consumption with an increased risk of heart attack and stroke has doctors urging caution about the controversial and preliminary results. According to a study of more than 2,500 people presented today as a poster at the American Stroke Association International Stroke Conference in Los Angeles, people who drank diet soda daily had a 61 percent increased risk of cardiovascular events compared to those who drank no soda, even when accounting for smoking, physical activity, alcohol consumption and calories consumed per day. “This study suggests that diet soda is not an optimal substitute for sugar-sweetened beverages, and may be associated with a greater risk of stroke,” Hannah Gardener of the University of Miami and her colleagues reported at the conference. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/HeartHealth/diet-soda-linked-heart-attack-stroke-ri\ sk/story?id=12868269

Watch your kidneys, folks.

Researchers analyzing the health habits of thousands of nurses found that women who drank two or more diet sodas daily had a two-fold increase in the risk of a significantly faster drop in their kidneys’ ability to filter blood compared with those who drank one or none.

Another analysis by the same pair of Harvard researchers found that eating a lot of salt also hurt kidney’s filtering power over time.

“While more study is needed, our research suggests that higher sodium and artificially sweetened beverages are associated with a greater rate of decline in kidney function,” Dr. Julie Lin, a kidney specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, said in a statement. http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2009/11/diet_sodas_may_hurt_kidneys.html

JJ I have found all these fact check places to be suspect and partisan. They all seem to originate from the left and attempt to make the right wing seem like the crazy ones as if the left is where reason resides.

Sex & the Throat Center

There were questions a while back regarding sex and the throat center. Here are a few interesting things from the Bailey writings on the subject:

This point has been enlarged upon because so many people, and particularly men, find that the animal nature requires attention when they begin to meditate. They discover within themselves uncontrolled desires, plus physiological effects which cause them acute trouble and discouragement. A person may have a high aspiration and a strong urge towards spiritual living and yet have aspects of his nature still uncontrolled. The energy that pours in during meditation pours down through the mechanism and stimulates the entire sex apparatus. The weak point is always discovered and stimulated. The cure for this situation can be summed up in the words: control of the thought life and transmutation. An intense mental preoccupation and interest should be cultivated in other directions than the line of least resistance sex. There should be an endeavor at all times to keep the energy contacted in the head and to permit it to work out through creative activity of some kind. The eastern teaching tells us that energy, usually directed to the functioning of the sex life, has to be raised and carried to the head and throat, particularly the latter, as it is, we are told, the centre of creative work. To put it in western terms, this means that we learn to transmute the energy utilized in the procreative process or in sex thoughts and use it in the work of creative writing, in artistic endeavor, or in some expression of group activity. The tendency in modern times to find the one-pointed thinker and purely mental type evading marriage and as he frequently does leading a purely celibate life, may be a demonstration of the truth of the eastern position. It is causing a good deal of concern among those who study our falling birth rate. Transmutation is not surely the death of an activity or a cessation of functioning on any level of consciousness for the sake of a higher. It is the right utilization of the various aspects of energy wherever the Self feels they should be used for the furthering of the ends of evolution, and the helping of the Plan. The mind, illumined by the soul, should be the controlling factor, and when we think straight, live straight, and raise all thoughts and energies into the “Heavenly places” we shall solve our problems through the development of a spiritual normality which is greatly needed at this time, particularly among aspirants and esoteric students. The first indications of glamour arose when the disciples and the aspirants of the Lemurian world (whose problem was the right comprehension, correct functioning and control of the physical body) began to differentiate between themselves, as self-conscious beings, and physical and vital forces. That immediately set up a tremendous activity in the throat centre which is the higher aspect of the sacral centre (the sex centre) and thus led to the initial glamour and to the first definite recognition and consideration of the sex impulse, of sex attraction, and for the initiate of that period of the necessary sex transmutation. This went hand in hand with the earliest Yoga, or the cult of the physical body with the objective of its control by the soul, and the consequent merging of the conscious and the subconscious. Rule 11.

Let the disciple transfer the fire from the lower triangle to the higher, and preserve that which is created through the fire of the midway point.

This means, literally, the control by the initiate of the sex impulse, as usually understood, and the transference of the fire which now normally vitalises the generative organs to the throat centre, thus leading to creation upon the mental plane through the agency of mind. That which is to be created must then be nourished and sustained by the love energy of nature issuing from the heart centre. Initiation, Human & Solar, Page 204

Apart from a consideration of this along the lines of the conservation of energy, there is another angle from which the aspirant approaches the problem and that is the transmutation of the vital principle (as manifested through the physical organism) into the dynamic demonstration of it as manifested through the organ of sound, or creation, through the word, the work of the true magician. There is as all students of occultism know, a close connection between the organs of generation and the third major centre, the throat centre. This is apparent physiologically in the change of voice seen during the adolescent period. Through the true conservation of energy and abstention from incontinence, the yogi becomes a creator on the mental plane through the use of the word and of sounds, and the energy which can be dissipated through the activity of the lower centre is concentrated and transmuted into the great creative work of the magician. This is done through continence, pure living and clean thinking, and not through any perversions of occult truth such as sex magic and the enormities of the sex perversions of various so-called occult schools. The energy of the sacral centre which feeds the generative organs is in due course of time transferred into the throat centre. The creative process is then carried on by thought, sound and the spoken Word. Hunger and thirst are the two aspects of desire, the one, hunger, being positive, masculine and grasping; the other, thirst, being negative, feminine and receptive. Those two words are but symbols of the two great impulses underlying the sex impulse. When these impulses are dominated and controlled, then the energy of the centre lying behind the organs concerned, can be carried upward to the throat, and hunger and thirst are arrested in the esoteric sense. It should be borne in mind here that these two words are the physical plane analogies to the great pairs of opposites which the yogi has to balance and which he does balance when the solar plexus is performing its highest function. First, the energies below the diaphragm have to be lifted up and blended with those above the diaphragm. With the process and rules for so doing we cannot here deal, except in one case, the raising of the sacral energy to the throat centre, or the transmutation of the process of physical reproduction and of physical creation into that of the creativeness of the artist in some field of creative expression. Through the union of the energies of these two centres we shall come to that stage in our development wherein we shall produce the children of our skill and minds. Where, in other words, there is a true union of the higher and the lower energies, you will have the emergence of beauty in form, the enshrining of some aspect of truth in appropriate expression, and thus the enriching of the world. Where there is this synthesis, the true creative artist begins to function. The throat, the organ of the Word, expresses the life and manifests the glory and the reality behind. Such is the symbolism lying behind the teaching of the fusion of the lower energies with the higher, and of this, physical plane sex is a symbol. Mankind today is rapidly becoming more creative, for the transfusion of the energies is going on under the new impulses. As we develop the sense of purity in man, as the growth of the sense of responsibility is fostered, and as his love of beauty, of colour and of ideas proceeds, we shall have a rapid increase in the raising of the lower into union with the higher, and thereby the beautifying of the Temple of the Lord will be tremendously accelerated. The media, which has a very elementary and sound bite knowledge of history attacked Sarah Palin unmercifully as an idiot, but now it appears that they are the idiots because a little research reveals her statements on Paul Revere and the British were correct.

Here is a letter I just submitted to my local paper. I hope to have another post for my book ready for you tomorrow.

There are now two main quotes given out by the ignorant in an attempt to portray Sarah Palin as an idiot.

First many are still using the quote attributed to Palin: “I can see Russia from my house.”

A Zogby poll showed that 86.9% of Obama voters believe this even though it originated with Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live.

Here is what Sarah actually said: “You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.”

This statement is 100% true. I learned this over 50 years ago in grade school.

Recently Palin made the statement that Paul Revere warned the British about the rebels. The media universally jumped on her.

Not so fast. When Revere was captured by the British he did warn them. He told them of the army’s movement from Boston, and that British army troops would be in danger if they approached Lexington, because of hostile militia gathered there. He was attempting to misdirect them but he did warn them just as Palin said.

Since it is now common knowledge Sarah was correct I was disappointed to see the editorial cartoon in today’s (June 10th) paper making fun of Sarah for being wrong on this.

JJ Yes, DK was talking about continuity of consciousness on the mental plane, not the astral where dreams occur. At sleep our mental self leaves the body and the astral remains. Dreams are produced by the emotional body – this explains why they usually make no sense and you have little power of decision within them.

With Lucid dreaming one forces some consciousness from the mental plane to enter the astral, but this may sacrifice something you were attempting to do on the mental plane.

When the mental self returns on awakening we usually remember nothing it did, but only a few astral dreams. The only way to attain continuity of consciousness is to assiduously apply exercises like DK recommends. If something important is realized on the mental plane during sleep you will attempt to send yourself a message through the dream state so some dreams do have messages. If it is important you will have a serious feeling about the importance of a dream.

Global Warming

Mary Ellen wrote: I have always had the impression that JJ did not believe Global Warming to be true or viable. I guess I’m wrong, but I DO believe it’s a scam to distract us.

JJ I have always said I believe what the data reveals until better data comes along and have stated a number of times that the earth has warmed about one degree in the last 100 years according to land based measurements. Most global warming skeptics agree with this.

However, I have always been against the global warming alarmists who think this is the end of the world. I think the warming we have had so far has been a good thing. One degree warmer is much better than one degree colder.

I also think most of the warming and cooling is related to natural cycles with human activity contributing some, but not as much as the alarmists say.

I’ve also said that CO2 is a fertilizer and a certain amount of increase will make for a greener healthier planet.

The one thing that should cause some alarm is the decrease of oxygen in our atmosphere, but you do not hear much about that.

I’ve also stated somewhere that we are more likely to be entering a cooling cycle than a warmer one.

Re: Molecular Business

Larry Woods says,

The greatest problem with a corporation is their myopic interest in profit only. So they seem perfectly willing to make sweetheart deals with government giving them special privileges of all kinds such as tax breaks, pollution allowances, and much more. Another difficulty is lack of liability. No owners (shareholders) ever incur any liability if the corporation poisons a bunch of folks or destroys an entire river ecosystem or some other evil thing. How would a molecular business do any better?

JJ The design of the Molecular Business is to first create a more efficient business model that will make a good profit. The second is to put all employees into a more equal relationship and pay. This is done through free will and not force, as today’s liberals so desire. Because the business is employee owned they will be more flexible. If they all have to take a pay cut to survive they can take this action or give themselves a raise if there is more profit.

As far as insuring virtuous actions by the corporation there is never any guarantee of that but the Molecular Business should be more constructive and less destructive than most because:

(1) All employees have a voice and if the leaders get too destructive the will be voted out and replaced.

(2) Because the company is employee owned there will be a greater sense of responsibility to make good decisions.

(3) As the spiritual molecules grow leaders in the Molecular Businesses will draw from them. These people will have service to humanity as their objective.

Larry: What is the “bottom line” for the molecular business? Profit?

JJ Profit is the prime objective of any business. If a business cannot make a profit then it cannot even exist.

Because all employees will be a part of the business I do not expect tem to go for a profit at any price but to make a profit doing constructive work.

Larry: Profit-only gives today’s corporations that vacant stare that everyone hates so much.

JJ Modern corporations are not perfect but the hatred you speak of is mostly based in illusion. Many people of today are like programmed robots that do not think for themselves. They need to be educated.

I do not recall any private corporation ever taking anything from me that I didn’t want to give them once in my entire life yet government does this every day

Larry If a customer slips and falls at the porch of the retail building, does the molecular business take liability?

JJ Of course – a Molecular Business would have to have liability insurance just like any other company.

Larry: Or do they employ the tricks of traditional corporations to avoid responsibility?

JJ Such things are usually handled by the insurance company rather than the business. And the gouging works both ways. Consumers will often fake injuries and pretend they are worse than they are to get an undeserved settlement.

Larry That one incident could potentially wipe them out, especially when they are small before much growth.

JJ That’s why you have insurance.

Larry: If the workers are also owners, then they will end up personally liable for every problem when they go to court? Are the workers not real owners but merely stock holders?

JJ They are owners through the holding of stock. That does not make them personally liable any more than employees in other corporations.

Larry If so, then when the Molecular Business hires new workers, must they buy in? JJ A new employee starts out with no stock but receives stock as a bonus as time goes on or he can purchase it.

Larry: If the Molecular Business hires hirelings instead of shareholders and then some founders retire or get disabled or for whatever reason stop working but remain as shareholders, then over time it will just be another corporation with hirelings and separate shareholders.

JJ It was always designed to be like a regular corporation as far as stock is concerned except part of the pay to employees will be in stock. If someone retires and wants to hold on to their stock that is good for the company because it gives them more cash to work with.

Larry: So what does a “harmless” Molecular Business do about the general idea of liability and of new workers and of new compared to retired workers or shareholders or owners?

JJ As I said, it would have insurance. If the company does wrong it could get sued just like any other company.

Larry: Competition. I know the Molecular Business will face competition no matter what their product(s). When they are small this will not amount to much of a problem. But when their shoes or product(s) begin to compete with Nike or some other huge corporation, the big guy will take steps to disable them or to undercut them. For example, the British counterfeited the Continental dollars until the entire value of it amounted to nothing. Any large corporation will start negative and often unethical steps to undercut the competition such as ads defiling the brand name and do any number of other dirty tricks. They will pay off their Congressmen they bought to add excessive new taxes onto the Molecular Business. They will undercut in many unexpected ways because they are big and you are small and they don’t want you horning in. How will the Molecular Business respond to big competition?

JJ Just like the smaller businesses do today. You create a better product and have better service. I’ve been a small business owner most of my life and there are many advantages to being small as well as big. Some small business get destroyed through various practices of large companies but the good ones survive. Steve Jobs started Apple in his garage and no one stopped him. Bill Gates started Microsoft on a shoestring and IBM helped him get started by selling him DOS at a bargain price.

I’m not worried about big business. Government always concerns me though.

Time Travel

This guy either has a heck of an imagination or a great story. The chances that we mastered time travel in the 60s is pretty slim, even if it were possible but it’s a fun story to follow.

I’ve also enjoyed following John Titor. He was close enough on some predictions to be eerie.

The Beast’s Influence on the Organic Food and Alternative Medicine Movem June 28, 2011

Good post Rob.

It was an interesting idea to use a taste test on organic and non organic foods, but there are several problems with Penn & Tellers experiment.

(1) There is not a lot of difference in taste in apples or bananas no matter how they are grown. These were the worst fruits to use for the test and probably why Penn & Teller used them. Strawberries would have been much better.

(2) A Lot of commercial organic farms do not put many minerals back in the soil and have less nutrition than the non organic. If Penn & Teller picked their fruit from a highly commercialized organic farm then it probably wouldn’t taste any better than non organic.

Strawberries or watermelons would have provided a lot better taste test as these have a huge difference in taste as the quality goes up. If these are raised in quality live soil with lots of minerals the taste will be very different than the highly commercialized fruit.

(3) How fresh the fruit is also makes a huge difference in taste. I notice that a lot of organic food for sale looks quite old and thus would have low nutritional value and not much taste. JJ

Thought I’d make a few comments on some recent posts;

JC I do not disagree with this, the operative word being “PRIMARILY”, but what I then like to know if for all the males who are now in the gathering, listening to JJ teach, which energy are you operating in male or female energy?

JJ Males can definitely be in the female position and females in the male. In the days of Jesus the disciples were female to Jesus, but then Jesus was female to the Christ who overshadowed him.

The fact that one is in a male or female body only indicates that over the course of a lifetime that he or she will be more in the energy represented by his body than its opposite. But within certain cycles of that life he will be in his opposite energy.

Dan: A Course In Miracles states that there is no order or difference in miracles.

What this means, then, is that it is just as easy to heal a cancer as it is to heal a mild headache. It is just as easy to heal a threat of nuclear war as it is to heal an argument between two little kids, because they are all the same thing. They all stem from one center point, which is the belief in separation or the belief in guilt. The problems are never out there in the world, but within our minds.”

JJ ACIM has a strange approach to this. It is obvious that it is more difficult to perform the miracle of bringing peace on earth to the world than healing a headache. But the book tells us that this world is not real and if we find the true reality the world just disappears and then peace on earth is no longer a problem because there is no earth. This seems like an escapist solution as not even the writer of ACIM had the earth disappear for her. If we had an ACIM reader just disappear from this illusion now and then this statement would have more credibility.

JC JJ has said that after we start forming stable molecules, we will need to experiment with different types of molecules with different numbers for different purposes. They will have different numbers of members, and perhaps different mixtures of energies. I would love to be a scientist studying all of this. Maybe we could try an all male molecule and balance it off with an all female molecule, and study them to find out if they serve any useful purpose. That’s just one idea. Another one might be to have 10 male-female couples, one female-female couple and one male-male couple. I’m just speculating. There are probably a lot of combinations that could be tried. An important point to consider is that for people who choose to participate in these experiments, we are literally messing with their lives and their spiritual connections, and great care must be taken to assist them. Also, the participant must be able to let go of their ego, for the greater good.

JJ Seekers will be experimenting with all kinds of combinations. Some will prove to be working molecules with certain qualities and some will not.

All combinations of humans working for he same goal create personality energy, but a molecule will create soul energy and there will be a big difference between the two. Remember to draw down the soul molecular energy the group must be accepted by the Master in charge.

John Lennon a Conservative?

In the Lost Key of the Buddha it was stated that1ohn Lennon was to become a spokesman for a new round of conservatism, but he was killed before he fulfilled his destiny. Many thought that this was far fetched because he seemed so ingrained in the liberal mindset.

Now some evidence has come out that he was turning conservative before he died. Take a look.

Re: belief -> faith

Here are some previous comments I have made on faith in the past. The quintessential definition is given in Hebrews 11. When using the Greek one can see that Paul’s definition of faith corresponds very closely with the one I have given.

In the New Testament faith comes from PISTIS which is derived from the root word PEITHO which basically means “to prove a thing true or false by evidence, argument, reason or experiment and through the guidance of your inner authority.”

Those who boast of great religious faith remind me a lot of a neophyte in a multi-level marketing program. When entering the program they are pumped full of zeal by various distributors. I have met many of those individuals who think they are going to make a million dollars or so in the next year and they have unshakable faith that this will happen. But sooner or later hard facts and reality hits them and they realize that to be even moderately successful they will have to devote all their extra energies and efforts to this “part time” business. When faced with this hard fact over ninety per cent lose interest and drop away. Often, I have met one of these individuals at a later time and asked how their venture was going. Generally, they want to change the subject.

So the born again full-fledged gospel believing Bible thumping proselyter who does not want to apply work, will want to change the subject when his faith is put to the test. If he reads his Bible perhaps this scripture will glare him in the face: “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool.” Proverbs 28:26

Those with unworkable faith merely trust in their heart, or their feelings, which is not faith at all. “Faith” comes from the Greek PISTIS and literally means: “a mental conviction one has proven true by argument or reason”. Thus if one has faith he will go to heaven he should be able to justify it by logical argumentation. One will notice that Paul, a big believer in faith, spent much of his time in logical argumentation.

The book of Hebrews gives an expanded definition: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

We can again find that the Greek will give us a much clearer translation here. “Substance” comes from HUPOSTASIS and in modern translations it is usually rendered “assurance” or “confidence”, but in reality one English word cannot do it justice. It more literally means “That state of mind which supports an idea through a sustained effort.” “Evidence” comes from ELEGECHOS which means “to prove a matter true or false”. The word indicates that faith establishes the true reality. Thus a clearer translation of the preceding verse would be: “Now faith is having that state of mind which sustains that which is hoped for and reveals the truth of those things we do not see.” This definition corresponds much better with the root meaning of the Greek PISTIS which is translated faith.

If we have faith we can sustain an idea until it is proven true or false. It is never a blind unreasoning belief.

The correct definition of faith should make the word more acceptable to the more enlightened and intelligent persons who were previously repulsed to using it. We see that Edison, for instance, had great faith. He sustained the idea of the light bulb until he proved its validity by making it a physical reality. When faith is sustained on a true principle a physical manifestation occurs. “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed.” Hebrews 11:3

We are also told: “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him” (God). Hebrews 11:6 Unless we can sustain an idea or conviction and prove it by argument or externalization we cannot please God.

By this scriptural definition of faith, I know of very few pious religious people who have any semblance of faith, but ironically, there are numerous non-religious people who have it.

If those who claim to have faith do not actually have it, then what do they have? After searching through numerous words in the Biblical Greek the closest I can find to match what is commonly miscalled “faith” is BLASPHEMOS which in the English means “blasphemer”.. BLASPHEMOS literally means “to hinder by stating an unfounded, rumored, or unreasonable statement”. Interestingly, most of those who claim to have faith cannot support their belief with any logical foundation or reasoning, but merely repeat what they have been taught. Therefore, instead of having faith they are committing blasphemy.

The Debt Problem

There’s been a lot of finger pointing concerning the recent downgrade of the U.S. credit rating from both sides of the isle. While it is true that over the years both sides have contributed to our economic problems that have led to the downgrade, I find it amazing and not at all helpful that many Democrats are placing all the blame on the Republicans, especially those associated with the Tea Party. Even more problematic is the media just seems to accept their accusations as true with no challenge to prove their point.
Rachel Maddow on Meet the Press (Aug 7) encapsulated a distorted view that I have seen expressed by many on the Left. She said:

“They (S&P) absolutely indicted the fashionable intransigents of the Republican Party right now in Washington. And there’s a question about whether or not there will be a change in fashion, whether or not that will be a sort of wakeup call that the parties need to work together rather than the Republicans’ fashion right now, which is that any deal is a bad deal.”

She misquotes the S&P as saying: “The downgrade was motivated by all the debate about raising of the debt ceiling. It involved a level of brinksmanship greater than what we had expected.”

Then commenting on this quote that doesn’t exist she adds:

“That’s why they say they downgraded us. Not because there’s too much debt, but rather that Washington is not working,… They said they did this because of brinksmanship over the debt ceiling. They did not say they did this because there’s too much government spending.”

This is just flat out wrong and the disconcerting thing is that many Democrats are following her lead.

Let us look at the facts so we can assess the true situation.

S&P and other ratings services haven’t just become concerned about our credit rating at the beginning of the debt ceiling crises. They have been concerned for some time and their original concerns had nothing to with an impasse in raising the ceiling, but that we were raising it too much and going too deep into debt without the means to climb out.

Reuters reported on Aug 26, 2010 that John Chambers, the sovereign-ratings committee chief of S&P, told the wire service in an interview – how Congress responds to the commission’s proposals on soaring U.S. deficits will significantly influence the ratings company’s outlook on the U.S. credit rating.

The Wall Street Journal had this headline back on Jan 14, 2011

S&P, Moody’s Warn On U.S. Credit Rating

“The United States’ AAA credit rating may be at risk sooner than previously thought as the nation fails to deal with its growing debt…”

On April 18, 2011 Reuters published this headline:
S&P threatens to cut U.S. credit rating on deficit

The article stated: “Standard & Poor’s threatened Monday to downgrade the United States’ prized AAA credit rating unless the Obama administration and Congress find a way to slash the yawning federal budget deficit within two years.”

Here is a quote from Standard & Poor’s site from April 18:
“We therefore think that, assuming an agreement between Congress and the President, there is a reasonable chance that it would still take a number of years before the government reaches a fiscal position that stabilizes its debt burden. In addition, even if such measures are eventually put in place, the initiating policymakers or subsequently elected ones could decide to at least partially reverse fiscal consolidation.”

Then on April 25 CNN’s money site made this statement:
“There’s been a lot of hand-wringing and posturing over Standard & Poor’s announcement that it has changed its outlook for the U.S. Treasury’s long-term debt to “negative” for the first time since it began rating Uncle Sam’s securities 70 years ago. To many people, it feels like a judgment from on high about our government for spending so much more than it takes in.”

Moody’s and private financial experts have also issued warnings about the debt over the years. Here’s a headline from Reuters from way back in 2009

U.S. likely to lose AAA rating
Jun 15, 2009 “Technical analyst Robert Prechter on Monday said he sees the United States losing its top AAA credit rating by the end of 2010, as he stuck by a deeply bearish outlook on the U.S. economy and stock market.

“Prechter, known for predicting the 1987 stock market crash, joins a growing coterie of market heavyweights in forecasting the United States will lose its top credit rating as the government issues trillions of dollars in debt to fund efforts to bail out the economy.”

So, what is the common thread in all these warnings? Is there any word about nasty Republicans holding the debt ceiling hostage?

No. Until recently no one knew a debt ceiling impasse would be a problem

Instead the danger that threatened our credit rating was the debt, plain and simple.

And what has been the central message of the Tea Party?

To cut spending and live within our means. In other words, the Tea Party is not the problem as Maddow and others claim but they are working in the direction of the solution suggested by S&P over the years.

S&P doesn’t care how we manage the debt as long as we put our house in order. In their latest release they point out two ways to do this. The first is to increase revenue though tax increases and the second is spending cuts. They believe spending cuts is the most efficient but Maddow makes a big deal over the fact that they mention the word “revenue” three times in their comments. What she overlooks is they make references to out “debt” 28 times.

It is true that in their latest release that the impasse was a factor in lowering our rating at this time. Because this illustrates the difficulty of Congress in dealing with the debt through added revenues or cuts our risk factor has increased. They’ve warned us of a downgrade for years now. It appears the impasse just speeded it up a few months.

S&P is especially concerned about our debt ratio to the GDP. It said that if $2.1 trillion in cuts materialize then by the end of the year our debt will equal 74% of the GDP. By 2015 it will equal 79% and 2021 it will be 85%.

If the Bush Tax cuts were to expire the percentages would be 74%, 77% and 78%

On the other hand, if a second round of $1.2 trillion in spending cuts does not occur the figures will be 74%, 90% and a whopping 101%

S&P believes that tax increases would increase revenues and help a little with the debt, but all this would be much more than offset if spending cuts do not materialize.

If I had my way I would not raise taxes but cut spending. A Republican plan goes like goes like this.

We freeze spending for seven years and also cut a mere 1% in spending during each of those years. The claim is that we could balance the budget in 7-10 years.

That sounds like about as painless a way to set our house in order that is possible.

Unfortunately even this is too huge of a spending decrease for the Democrats to accept and they are insisting on tax hikes as part of the deal and fewer spending cuts.

I think we have dug such a deep pit for ourselves that we will have to increase revenue as well as decrease spending. Any tax hike should expire within seven years and then we can reassess the situation.

Also, the spending cuts need to be written in stone. Time and time again we’ve been promised spending cuts that did not materialize. Congress can talk about spending cuts in 2013 but we’ll have a whole new group by then that may seek a way around the cuts.

This time the spending cuts will need real teeth if we ever want to get our AAA+ rating back as well as the confidence of the world.

Mysteries of Initiation

Blayne started the ball rolling with this question:
So would one know for sure of they were a second degree initiate or not? Or could they be a second degree initiate and not know it? If they could and not know it when would one know for sure what level they are at?

Until the writings of Alice A. Bailey became available knowledge of the initiations were not available to the masses. Hence there have been many initiates in history who knew nothing about the initiations. All initiates have had a sense of making progress before the eyes of God but few understood the gradations.

Shakespeare, Joseph Smith, Mary Baker Eddie, Lincoln, Churchill, Edison, Tesla and many other initiates had similar initiation experiences but it is likely that none of them were consciously aware that there were specific initiations. Once in a while an initiate will have a conscious revelation that tells him what is going on, but this is the exception.

DK tells us that the actual recognition by the Hierarchy of an initiation happens after the abilities and qualities of the initiation have already been obtained. It’s a little like getting a college diploma after the ceremony. The diploma does nothing to enhance your education or make you smarter or improve your skills. It is merely recognition of accomplishment.

Even so, the initiations are like diplomas giving recognition of something that is already accomplished.

When you read DK about the initiations it sounds like all initiates would know if they have passed an initiation even if they have not heard of Alice A. Bailey. He talks about ceremonies that accompany them with Masters, rods of power etc. Who could put something like that out of his mind?

DK barely mentions the reasons that initiates rarely recall initiation ceremonies. There are two reasons for this.

(1) The initiation ceremonies are usually held after death, between lives.

(2) Other times they take place during sleep. The disciple may have some dreams around the event but the conscious memory is often lost.

It is only on rare occasions that initiates have a conscious memory of initiation ceremonies. I doubt that even Alice A. Bailey or HPB had full memories of their own, even though they were aware of the initiation process.

Since a seeker can be an initiate yet have no conscious memory of any ceremony of recognition then can he know if he has passed the first, the second, the third etc.

The answer is a pretty solid yes for the first and the third, but the second is more difficult to discern.

The first degree initiate has the birth of the Christ in his heart. He becomes a seeker and does all he can to purify himself to make himself acceptable before God. He seeks to control his sexual impulses and body appetites.

Many seekers can identify with going through this process.

The third degree initiate has a profound supernatural experience where he confronts the Dweller on the Threshold and experiences the Angel of the Presence that ends with seeing through illusion. Such a disciple will recognize this initiation when it is described by DK or others.

The second initiation is a little more difficult to recognize because glamour springing from the ego is powerfully involved and must be overcome.

Many first degree initiates struggling with glamour will automatically assume he or she has achieved the second or beyond. Those struggling with ego and glamour usually overestimate their status and a few have the glamour of false humility and project themselves as below average when in their hearts they see themselves as superior to others.

The second initiation is one of the most difficult to achieve because of the power of the lower ego and the surrounding glamours. Then the achievement is a long tough process with no one great moment or flash of light marking the achievemet. Reaching the second initiation is a little like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. When you put in the last piece you finally see the whole picture but this achievement was proceeded by finding many other pieces first.

Here are some qualities found in the second degree initiate.

(1) Strong desire to improve himself and achieve self control

(2) He is at peace with his emotional self even in stressful conditions.

(3) He will rarely take offense at anything anyone says, even if it is highly insulting or outrageous. If someone shoves him he is not likely to shove back unless there is some purpose in it.

(4) He will rarely make statements to illustrate how great or talented he is. He will show his ability by his actions rather than boasting or even subtle hints.

(5) If associates see you as someone who is always trying to prove how good you are or as an obnoxious ego then chances are you have not achieved the second degree. If they see you as a nice person and feel comfortable having you in charge then that is an indication you have achieved, but there are exceptions.

(6) A second degree or higher is usually working on initiating something such as, a group, a philosophy, a business or some idea. He will go beyond just dreaming and scheming and attempt to accomplish and will not quit just because times are tough.

(7) The second degree is opening up his heart energies and those close to him (or her) will enjoy the relationship and sense the warm energies coming from this person.

(8) No one likes to be criticized but the second degree or higher will appreciate constrictive criticism and even be open to learning from harsh destructive attacks.

(9) The second degree can transcend guilt and put it in its proper place where it can do no harm.

(10)He practices the principle of harmlessness.

(11) He holds no grievances.

(12) He has achieved a degree of soul contact and has had spiritual experiences that have convinced him that the spiritual world is real.

(13) He takes responsibility for his lot in life and will rarely blame others for his problems.

(14) He has good mental development, is reasonable and logical.

These are just a few of a list that could be expanded.

The key mark of the second degree initiate is the overcoming of glamour but the difficulty in only going by this is that one who has not achieved the second degree cannot see glamour correctly. He may think he has no glamour when he does. This difficulty will make the list I have presented quite helpful if contemplated.

Keith writes:
If Paul experienced the 3rd initiation on the road to Damascus, then when did he experience his 2nd? How could Paul have experienced the 2nd initiation and still persecute the Christians? The 2nd initiation should have dispelled this error about the Christians.

We do not have many details of Paul’s life before he joined the church. We do know his mind was highly developed and was very focused. These are two qualities of a second degree initiate. My guess is that he had some spiritual experiences when he was young that made him dedicated to the highest he knew and that led to overcoming glamour.

The second degree can be far from perfect because of illusion. Remember that Hitler was a second degree initiate who took the Left Hand Path instead of the Right. Paul was probably close to this in persecuting the Christians but caught himself before it was too late.

Ruth wants to know what kind of initiates will be in the first molecule?

The answer is the higher the better but it could be composed of mostly first degree initiates and succeed as long as the individuals involved are open to the energies of the soul and are not overly critical of others in the group. Molecules in the past have been made of first degree initiates and higher.

Ruth:
The 3rd initiation is usually undertaken in the 1st Saturn cycle by the age of 28, isn’t it?, so if a Molecule only consisted of 3rd degree initiates, then most in that Molecule would be in their 20s.

Initiations that are repeated from past lives are completed by the age of 21, but new ones can be achieved at any age past 21. Moses reached his third when he was in his eighties. Initiates continue to achieve way past their first Saturn cycle.

The question came up as to why HPB smoked if she had control over her appetites. If you read her biography you see that she smoked unapologetically and really enjoyed it and offered cigarettes to all. She seemed unaware that smoking was bad for the health so did not attempt to stop this habit.

You aren’t even capable of choosing a path (right or left) until AFTER compeltion of the 3rd…

The choice is made as one approaches the third. When the third is approached the choice between the two paths becomes clear. If the left hand path is chosen then illusion is magnified. If the right is chosen then revelation comes, illusion is dispelled and the initiation is achieved.

JJ said if you passed the first or second in a previous life you may not be aware of that in this life because the ordinance part does not need to repeat. But the third and up gets the full meal deal ordinances with BOL guys using the rod of power etc. Hard to miss – you would absolutely consciously know.

There would only be the ceremony if the initiate passes the third for the first time. There would only be a subtle recognition of accomplishment if he is repeating what he achieved in a past life.

Ruth asks about the initiations of Moses. Moses was overshadowed by an advanced entity who apparently achieved the fifth initiation in that life for the scriptures indicate that his body was not subject to death. It appears the lower Moses figure attained the third. In any later incarnation he would have repeated these initiations before the age of 21 and started working on additional ones. Sometimes it takes many lives to move from one initiation to another and other times progress goes fairly quickly.
