Finding The Beast

There seems to be a major misunderstanding as to what the Beast is that I would like to comment on.

It seems that we are taking actions of others that we personally do not like and calling them the work of the Beast. In other words, many are seeing the Beast as a misuse of power.

Using this criteria the environmentalists would see the Beast as the lumber companies cutting down too many trees and the lumberjacks conversely would see the Beast as the environmentalists using their power to stop them from cutting trees to put them out of work.

The consumer sees the big oil companies as the Beast for protecting their territory and the big oil companies see the Government as the Beast for preventing them from drilling on public lands.

Which side is the Beast on?

Answer: Neither has anything to do with the Beast. 99.9% of all people, groups and business will act in their self interest and in doing so those who do not have their interests served by the self interest of others will feel a loss and sometimes ill will.

When entities are given the freedom to act in their self interest will they always act for the good of the whole?

Answer: No. Their decisions will almost always be in their own interest and this will sometimes be contrary to the good of the whole, but on the positive side, that which is good for the individual entity is often good for the whole and thus by allowing the freedom to be selfish we also allow the whole to be healthy for a dominating good is at play.

What happens when we see the Beast as being a selfish power we do not like and try to correct this by force?

Example: The old Soviet empire is a good example. There every attempt was made to eliminate selfishness and the people were miserable, because they were looking in the wrong direction for the Beast.

Example of people free to be selfish, free to be wrong and free to misuse power: The early United States where was experienced the greatest rise to power and prosperity in the history of the world.

So if big oil companies are not the Beast for attempting to prevent the little guy from displacing them, and Bill Gates is not the Beast for putting little software companies out of business then where is the Beast?

Answer: The Beast is much bigger and more pervasive than any corporation or organization and affects every business and every organization and every person on the earth.

If some person, company or government is not the Beast, then what or where is the Beast?

Give an example of the true Beast in action.

The fact that Bill Gates may act to put the little guy out of business may not be the Beast, but there are actions that Bill could take (and does) in this direction that makes him (and employees) agents of the Beast. Give a possible example.

A reader figures that the mindless following after DOS because IBM was behind it is an example of Beastly following.

However, IBM is somewhat of an earned authority in its field, but because the people followed without checking up on their earned authority – especially as it was leading the to a new field of endeavor this can illustrate a mindless acceptance that is a tool of the Beast.

A point I can not stress too much is that the Beast is not the Beast because he is evil in the traditional sense, but because of mindlessness. A good thing can be your Beast including the Bible, Jesus, your nation – anything outside yourself that you follow mindlessly.

If you are feeding the homeless because you are simply ordered to by your Beastly leader then you have the mark of the Beast.

Why is this bad?

Because if you will feed the homeless merely because you were told to then you will also put the homeless into furnaces just because you were told to.

The Dark Brothers always start with goodly sounding control by dangling a carrot of good works in front of us and then move us over into acts we would never do “if we were thinking.”

This is what Hitler did with good and decent people in Germany. Time and time again at the war trials, those who did despicable acts merely stated in their defense: “I was just following orders.”

So what could Bill Gates and his employees do that would be a Beastly act? No one gave a good example of this so let us give a possible scenario.

Bill Gates: “This new upstart of a company is giving us trouble so we need to crush them. Jim. Dig up some dirt on them and feed it to the press.”

Jim: Jim does not think of any right or wrong here. He merely answers “Yes Sir!” and obeys.

Bill Gates: “Bob! Find some legal technicalities they have and file some lawsuits.”

Bob: Now Bob had a company once that was driven out of business by lawsuits so he was reluctant to conform, but after a pause where he thought about the needs of his family for the weekly paycheck he sighed and put on a smiley face and said: “I’ll get right on it.”

Bill Gates: Gale! Write a virus and find a way to get it into their software.

Gale: “Couldn’t we get in trouble if we get caught.?”

Bill Gates: “Believe me. We will not get caught.”

Gale: “I don’t know about this. I try and live a good Christian life and this doesn’t seen to be the right thing to do.”

Bill Gates: “Are you with the team or not. Yes, or no?”

Gale: She too thinks about her family. “I suppose I am on the team.”

Bill Gates: Is it yes or no?” Bill demands.

Gale: Yes.

Bill Gates: Ok then. Sally. My sources reveal that the President of the company is having an affair. Do what you have to do to get pictures, tapes, whatever you need to let leverage on the guy.

Sally who desperately needs the job says: “I have to draw the line here my friends. What is it with you people? You are following along like mindless idiots. Now if we want to start this meeting over and proceed with a fair course that is fine, but I am not going along with this plan.

Bill Gates: If you do not go along you are out of here and I’ll see to it that you never work again in this industry. You’ll be lucky to get a job as a waitress.

“So be it,” said Sally. “I am out of here.”

This is of course an imaginary example and we have no way of knowing what Bill Gates does in his private meetings but the question is:

Out of the four people who were expected to follow orders were all three who did submit a part of the Beast? Why? Why was Sally not a part of the Beast.

Can the power of the Beast descend even lower than a large company? Can it exist in a small company of three employees? In a family? In a ball team? With your drinking buddies?

Can you see how the prophecy is fulfilled which says:

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship (kiss up to) him, whose names are not written in the book of life…: Rev 13:8

Yes my friends, we do not have to wait for a computer chip to be placed in our hands to receive the mark. The mark has been here for thousands of years.

Being/Becoming

Being/Becoming

One of the most profound statements of all time was not made in an official book of philosophy, but by the playwright Shakespeare in Hamlet:

To be or not to be…

That is the question.

As is written in The Immortal it could have been more accurately written “To Become or not to Become,” but because this did not have the poetic ring Shakespeare used “to be or not to be”

When you look at this logically it certainly makes sense for the common belief of “Being” is to be inactive, to yield, to be still and just be one with God.

This is not what Shakespeare meant by “to be.”

Observe the verse which follows these famous words.

“Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer

The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune;

Or to take arms against a sea of troubles…”

In the story “not to be” is to yield to the situations that confront us – to go with the flow. He even points out that we may live a long life by playing it safe and choosing “not to be” but it will be a fate worse than death. Death (“The Undiscovered Country”) is not to be feared, for in death lies the hope of “What Dreams May Come”.

He points out that we should not even let the fear of death prevent us from choosing “to be,” for if we risk all and then die we have at least chosen “to be.”

(It is interesting how many movie titles come from his words.)

Concerning those who choose “not to be” he states:

“With this regard their currents turn awry,

And lose the name of action…”

There we have it. Those who choose not to be “lose the name of action.” These are like the two approaching the Path in the parable of Decision who were paralyzed and just stood still and did not act or go forward.

“To be” then is to act and move forward no matter what the risk.

We must “take arms against a sea of troubles,” as the master writer stated.

Thus we see that “to be” as taught by the great playwright is very much in harmony with the teachings here on BECOMING.

There has been discussion as to whether BECOMING is male or female. Actually it is neither, but both the cause and the result of the interplay of the two energies. BECOMING is the action of Purpose, the dominating good which interpenetrates both male and female energies.

Female energies build forms and male energies destroy forms for in the reaching of the perfection of any decision one must both build and destroy.

Example:

A master painter works on a portrait and applies the brush to create the form (female energy).

Then he sees strokes and colors that he does not like so he eliminates them (male energy).

The key element of BECOMING is action based on either radiant (male) or magnetic (female) energy. Movement toward the greatest possible perfection is BECOMING, which is an eternal process. BECOMING has never not been nor shall it ever cease “to be.”

Incorporated in BECOMING is BEING. BEING is that state which in the East is called Pralaya This is a state of rest between creations. Djwhal Khul makes an interesting statement around this. He states that this is not a state of being which “is not” (or not to be) but “that which is esoteric,” (or hidden).

The state of pralaya can be compared to the painter after he finishes his portrait and is satisfied and just takes time to sit back and enjoy the fruit of his labors and then to contemplate before he starts a new creation.

In an attempt to BECOME the master painter all three ingredients are necessary: (1) the building strokes) (2) the destroying strokes and (3) Rest, absorption and contemplation between.

Number three is the true state of BEING and is part of the dominating good when its cycle has come. It is also one of the three ingredients of BECOMING.

Unfortunately the word BEING is associated by many with the decision “not to be” as spoken by Shakespeare. True BEING is not yielding to the line of least resistance but after we have taken “arms against a sea of troubles,” and have prevailed as Gods – only then will True BEING become known and no longer esoteric to us.

The Spiritual Hierarchy

The Spiritual Hierarchy

A reader asks: “So what about Sanat Kumara, Lord Maitreya, Sananda, et al? I see the Ancient of Days in Book II. How do they figure in your understanding of things?”

Sanat Kumara is the Ancient of Days. He works within a molecule of seven including himself. H P Blavatsky gives the names of these entities as follows:

The Exoteric four are: Sanat-Kumara, Sananda, Sanaka, and Sanatana; and the esoteric three are: Sana, Kapila, and Sanat-sujata.

These compose the main members of the inner council chamber at Shamballa.

Sanat Kumara is the representative of the outward manifestation of the Planetary Logos and came to the earth 23 million years ago to perfect the personality of the earth. There is an even greater entity which in some writings is called a “Planetary Spirit” which came here at the creation of the earth billions of years ago and he represents the soul of the Logos.

Few below Sanat Kumara have made contact with this entity. Just as the personality must develop and eventually submit to the soul, even so must the personality of the earth evolve to a high degree before the higher aspect of the Logos can have meaning to us. All organic life, and especially humanity, represents the personality of the planet.

Maitreya is a Hindu word taken from the Sanskrit mitra which is a name of the Spiritual Sun and implies a meaning of “friendly, kind or benevolent.”

Maitreya is not necessarily a specific name, but more of a title and a number of entities are known by it. The fifth Kumara (The first esoteric one) uses this title and more recently it is held by the one we know as the Christ. Another of his titles in Hindu is the Bodhisattva. His name among the Mohammedans is Iman Madhi

Sananda is the name of the second Kumara. Many New Age channelers have identified Sananda as being Jesus or the head of the Ashtar command or some other thing, but he is none of these.

The Christ occupies the position as the head of the Spiritual Hierarchy, as the mediator between Shamballa and humanity. Sananda is the second Kumara close to the heart of Sanat Kumara. Psychics undoubtedly picked up a close link between Sananda and the Christ for both are firstborn sons of God.

Here is a chart of the various Hierarchies in the solar system:

Sananda is one of the Kumaras associated with Sanat Kumara.

Look below the Kumaras and you will see the Christ – a totally separate entity.

Keep in mind that my main purpose as a teacher is not to give data on or about various entities involved in the Plan, but to teach principles. Principles is the language of the soul and when this language is learned deception will be a rare occurrence and the sons of men who are the sons of God can proceed in oneness of heart and spirit.

True Positive Thinking

When Jesus talked about the truth making us free that he was not talking about a single piece of data. On the other hand, neither was he talking about some single ultimate truth (which would be a glorified piece of data), but about the principle of truth. He who discovers the door of the soul discovers the way to recognize truth and is no longer deceived and thus becomes free.

Of course, the trick is staying in the soul amid all the distractions.

Some question my statement that truth is neither on the outside or inside so let us examine a simple truth to see.

2+2=4

One is unable to go inside to the pure essence of our being which is ONE and discover this because there is nothing but oneness there. Anything more than one is meaningless.

To even create more than one on the inside the One Life had to create an outside as well as inside. All form on the outside is dependent on the sustaining power of the One inside.

2+2=4 has no meaning or cannot even exist without an outside division of form combined with an inner recognition.

Technically there is no inside without an outside. To say that all is within is no different than saying that all is without for both are interdependent.

“But,” says one, “I can go inside and see that 2+2=4.”

Answer: You are seeing this using the mind which is an outside vehicle of the real you just as much as is your body. Take away your body, feelings and mind and you still exist, but you are unable to assimilate the truth that 2+2=4. All truth is created and recognized through the duality of outside-inside.

Now let us deal with this popular belief:

Things on the outside can only hurt us when we believe they can hurt us. If we “free ourselves” from negative thoughts and energies no harm can come to us.

One of the reasons this is a popular belief is because it is indeed a comforting belief to hold. If protecting ourselves from harm were indeed this simple then yes, by all means, let’s go for it.

But is it that simple or is this another illusionary trap that catches many?

Again, we must check with reality, or things as they are and see if this belief really works.

For one thing, most of us go through life with nothing of great negativity happening to us for six months or so and maybe some type of major crisis every five or ten years.

Therefore, if the average person adopts this belief then he usually goes about six months before his faith is tested, but even here he has explanations. He just let his guard down for a while or there were some hidden fears that were so deep that he never noticed them before. It isn’t usually until the major crisis comes along that his faith is really tested, but even here his belief system often remains intact.

I also find that many (not all) of those with this belief system are quite judgmental. I have found that when I have described some negative occurrence in my life that they will often respond with something like this:

“Now JJ, what have you been thinking to draw this occurrence into your life? If you were more like me and did not allow negative things into your consciousness you would not draw these nasty occurrences into your life.”

Some of you may recall that a year or so I go I related to the group how I fell down some stairs in the dark and banged myself up. I was then met with this kind of flack – that I must be suffering from my negative thinking. The funny thing is that the person who was doing the most preaching to me fell down her own stairs about a week later and shortly thereafter suffered a life and death health crisis. This did not alter her belief system, however.

One of the things I look for in formulating my own beliefs is how they play out in the real world and here is what I observe. I notice that those who attempt to avoid the negative by erasing it from their belief system have as much or more negativity in their life as anyone else.

I have noticed that those who have this belief system will downplay smaller negative occurrences for a period of time, but then the suppression often builds and when something big comes along there is difficulty in facing it.

There are three general attitudes in dealing with the negative.

(1) The negative attitude. This person is pessimistic and always expects the worst and a negative occurrence is amplified in his mind.

(2) The positive attitude. This person acknowledges the negative as well as positive, but has a good attitude and always looks for the best to occur. Because of his positive outlook the negative occurrence does not seem so bad.

(3) The negating (as opposed to negative) attitude. This person seeks to avoid the negative by eliminating the negative from his thoughts and belief system.

From my observation all three categories of people have negative occurrences come into their life, but the least affected by the negative is number two – the one who does not negate the negative, but just makes the best of each situation and always hopes for and looks for the best to occur. For this person a negative happening always has a silver lining.

But for number one a negative occurrence is devastating because he dwells on his victimhood.

In addition, the negative occurrence is often difficult for number three because it is shattering for his belief system.

I said that this was a dangerous belief and to back up my words I will point out two times in history where this belief lead to disaster.

A notable one is the decade which lead up to World War II. During this period there was a resurgence of interest in Spiritualism and the idea that perpetual peace could be had by laying down arms and avoiding the negative. Many groups were meditating, praying and sending love for peace.

This thought process had a wide effect and influenced many world leaders and three crucial nations -the United State, Britain and France disarmed themselves thinking that by not paying attention to these negative armaments that the rest of the world would follow on.

This sounded good, but one man named Hitler only saw opportunity for himself in such a belief system. He armed the Germans to the hilt while others were thinking peace.

Now the interesting thing is this. Right up until a week before the war broke out every single noted spiritualist was predicting there would be no war – that their meditations were working.

But then Hitler invaded Poland and the world woke up to the fact that it sometimes takes more than either positive thinking or avoiding the negative to handle the likes of a dictator bent on conquest.

A second powerful example was India. Hinduism is very big on this idea that peace can be maintained through the negation of the negative. Because this belief system placed them in peril time and time again the great avatar Krishna (who later was the Christ) appeared on the scene and gave the world the Bhagavad-Gita.

One of the main messages of the Gita is to not retreat into your inner world and seek peace at the expense of avoiding facing the real problems of the outside world. He tells his disciple Arjuna to stand and fight that which is outside as well as to deal with that which is inside.

Unfortunately, India did not learn the lesson of the Bhagavad-Gita and suffered perhaps the bloodiest tragedy in recorded history. Below is an account by historian Will Durant from The Story of Civilization.

The Moslem Conquest of India

In one day all this power and luxury were destroyed. Slowly the conquering Moslems had made their way south; now the sultans of Bijapur, Ahmadnagar, Golkonda and Bidar united their forces to reduce this last stronghold of the native Hindu kings. Their combined armies met Rama Raja’s half-million men at Talikota; the superior numbers of the attackers prevailed; Rama Raja was captured and beheaded in the sight of his followers, and these, losing courage, fled. Nearly a hundred thousand of them were slain in the retreat, until all the streams were colored with their blood. The conquering troops plundered the wealthy capital, and found the booty so abundant “that every private man in the allied army became rich in gold, jewels, effects, tents, arms, horses and slaves.” For five months the plunder continued: the victors slaughtered the helpless inhabitants in indiscriminate butchery, emptied the stores and shops, smashed the temples and palaces, and labored at great pains to destroy all the statuary and painting in the city; then they went through the streets with flaming torches, and set fire to all that would burn. When at last they retired, Vijayanagar was as completely ruined as if an earthquake had visited it and had left not a stone upon a stone. It was a destruction ferocious and absolute, typifying that terrible Moslem conquest of India which had begun a thousand years before, and was now complete.

The Mohammedan Conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precarious thing, whose delicate complex of order and liberty, culture and peace may at any time be overthrown by barbarians invading from without or multiplying within. The Hindus had allowed their strength to be wasted in internal division and war; they had adopted religions like Buddhism and Jainism, which unnerved them for the tasks of life; they had failed to organize their forces for the protection of their frontiers and their capitals, their wealth and their freedom, from the hordes of Scythians, Huns, Afghans and Turks hovering about India’s boundaries and waiting for national weakness to let them in. For four hundred years (600-1000 A.D.) India invited conquest; and at last it came.

The first Moslem attack was a passing raid upon Multan, in the western Punjab (664 A.D.) Similar raids occurred at the convenience of the invaders during the next three centuries, with the result that the Moslems established themselves in the Indus valley about the same time that their Arab co-religionists in the West were fighting the battle of Tours (732 A.D.) for the mastery of Europe. But the real Moslem conquest of India did not come till the turn of the first millennium after Christ.

In the year 997 a Turkish chieftain by the name of Mahmud became sultan of the little state of Ghazni, in eastern Afghanistan. Mahmud knew that his throne was young and poor, and saw that India, across the border, was old and rich; the conclusion was obvious. Pretending a holy zeal for destroying Hindu idolatry, he swept across the frontier with a force inspired by a pious aspiration for booty. He met the unprepared Hindus at Bhimnagar, slaughtered them, pillaged their cities, destroyed their temples, and carried away the accumulated treasures of centuries. Returning to Ghazni he astonished the ambassadors of foreign powers by displaying “jewels and unbored pearls and rubies shining like sparks, or like wine congealed with ice, and emeralds like fresh sprigs of myrtle, and diamonds in size and weight like pomegranates.” Each winter Mahmud descended into India, filled his treasure chest with spoils, and amused his men with full freedom to pillage and kill; each spring he returned to his capital richer than before. At Mathura (on the Jumna) he took from the temple its statues of gold encrusted with precious stones, and emptied its coffers of a vast quantity of gold, silver and jewelry; he expressed his admiration for the architecture of the great shrine, judged that its duplication would cost one hundred million dinars and the labor of two hundred years, and then ordered it to be soaked with naphtha and burnt to the ground. Six years later he sacked another opulent city of northern India, Somnath, killed all its fifty thousand inhabitants, and dragged its wealth to Ghazni. In the end he became, perhaps, the richest king that history has ever known. Sometimes he spared the population of the ravaged cities, and took them home to be sold as slaves; but so great was the number of such captives that after some years no one could be found to offer more than a few shillings for a slave. Before every important engagement Mahmud knelt in prayer, and asked the blessing of God upon his arms. He reigned for a third of a century; and when he died, full of years and honors, Moslem historians ranked him as the greatest monarch of his time, and one of the greatest sovereigns of any age.

Seeing the canonization that success had brought to this magnificent thief, other Moslem rulers profited by his example, though none succeeded in bettering his instruction. In 1186 the Ghuri, a Turkish tribe of Afghanistan, invaded India, captured the city of Delhi, destroyed its temples, confiscated its wealth, and settled down in its palaces to establish the Sultanate of Delhi- an alien despotism fastened upon northern India for three centuries, and checked only by assassination and revolt. The first of these bloody sultans, Kutb-d Din Aibak, was a normal specimen of his kind- fanatical, ferocious and merciless. His gifts, as the Mohammedan historian tells us, “were bestowed by hundreds of thousands, and his slaughters likewise were by hundreds of thousands.” In one victory of this warrior (who had been purchased as a slave), “fifty thousand men came under the collar of slavery, and the plain became black as pitch with Hindus.” Another sultan, Balban, punished rebels and brigands by casting them under the feet of elephants, or removing their skins, stuffing these with straw, and hanging them from the gates of Delhi. When some Mongol inhabitants who had settled in Delhi, and had been converted to Islam, attempted a rising, Sultan Alau-d-din (the conquerer of Chitor) had all the males- from fifteen to thirty thousand of them- slaughtered in one day. Sultan Muhammad bin Tughlak acquired the throne by murdering his father, became a great scholar and an elegant writer, dabbled in mathematics, physics and Greek philosophy, surpassed his predecessors in bloodshed and brutality, fed the flesh of a rebel nephew to the rebel’s wife and children, ruined the country with reckless inflation, and laid it waste with pillage and murder till the inhabitants fled to the jungle. He killed so many Hindus that, in the words of a Moslem historian, “there was constantly in front of his royal pavilion and his Civil Court a mound of dead bodies and a heap of corpses, while the sweepers and executioners were wearied out by their work of dragging” the victims “and putting them to death in crowds.” In order to found a new capital at Daulatabad he drove every inhabitant from Delhi and left it a desert; and hearing that a blind man had stayed behind in Delhi, he ordered him to be dragged from the old to the new capital, so that only a leg remained of the wretch when his last journey was finished. The Sultan complained that the people did not love him, or recognize his undeviating justice. He ruled India for a quarter of a century, and died in bed. His successor, Firoz Shah, invaded Bengal, offered a reward for every Hindu head, paid for 180,000 of them, raided Hindu villages for slaves, and died at the ripe age of eighty. Sultan Ahmad Shah feasted for three days whenever the number of defenseless Hindus slain in his territories in one day reached twenty thousand. `

A sad story is it not? This sad tale would not have been if the great civilization which was India had placed a little more attention on the practical side of life and made the necessary preparations to defend their way of life.

For long stretches of time they were fortunate and their belief system seemed to protect them from the negative, but alas the day of reckoning finally came and even to this day India has not recovered the glory, wealth and culture which they had in those ancient times.

Now none of us want to see things like this happen to the nation we are living in; neither do we want negative or hurtful things to come into our own lives.

The question is then what is truly the best way to avoid pain and negativity? Is thinking positive, sending love and being peaceful not helpful?

Answer: Yes, they are helpful, but if your thoughts are true they will be followed by action. If they are not then there is deception in your thinking.

If you are a real positive thinker you will be taking positive action to materialize those thoughts.

If you are truly thinking thoughts of love they will materialize as loving actions that will cause the hearts of others to burn with loving thankfulness.

If you are truly thinking peace then you will take the necessary steps on the physical plane to insure that the peace is real.

Overall I have found the formula that makes for a happy life where the major pitfalls are avoided can he had by following this advice:

(1) Decide what you want to happen.

(2) Project yourself into the various stages of the future until you see the consummation of your desire. Then honestly examine every possible negative or undesirable event you wish to avoid or that would prevent you from reaching your goal.

(3) Contemplate solutions to the obstacles and how you are going to negate or overcome them.

(4) Every time you cross through an obstacle reassess your situation and reassess your path and your plan until the goal is reached.

By following this formula one can use the combined results of meditation and action to make one’s life a reasonably happy one.

Truth Within and Without

Let us consider the common belief that truth “is never about the outside.”

Now when the majority of people hear this they will think “Yes, of course that is true. The Kingdom of God is within.”

Now let me give you a statement which is equally true, but which you may not have heard before.

“Truth is never on the inside.”

If truth is not on the outside or the inside then where is truth?

Answer: Truth is discovered through the interplay of that which is outside with that which is inside. We observe that which is outside and reflect it off that which is inside and through the power of the soul truth is registered.

To illustrate this all we need do is to look at the two extremes.

Outside extreme:

A person on this extreme will not seek to register truth within, but have it verified by an authority without to whom he has given his power.

Example One:

“The earth is only six thousand years old.”

“How do you know that?”

“The Bible says so?”

“How do you know the Bible is literally true?”

“My parents taught me.”

“What makes you think your parents are right?”

“They just are!”

Here the person is basing his version of truth on that which was given from the outside with no inside reflection.

Example Two

“The cause of the California energy crisis is deregulation.”
“What makes you think that is the cause?”
“I heard it on the news.”
“Why do you think the news is correct?”
“Well, they wouldn’t say it if it were not true.”

This person is as far away from the truth as the first because his authority is the Beast – which is an outward authority accepted “just because.”

Now let us look at the other extreme.

Example One:

Ron: All knowledge is as you perceive it from within.
Jim: You mean that if I perceive from within that Al Gore won the election then Gore would be in the White House now and not Bush?
Ron: That would then be your truth.
Jim: And if I perceive within that the earth is 6000 years old then that would be how old it is?
Ron: That would be your truth.

Here Ron mixes up truth with perception. If you perceive something from within it is only true that you perceived it, but it does not follow that your perception is true.

Imagine trying to dial your friends by using numbers you randomly perceive from within. It would be pretty frustrating.

This idea that whatever you perceive is true is a huge leap in taking us away from truth rather than toward it. If everything is true just because you think it then the search for truth ends for there is nothing left to search for. If the search for truth ends then no further increase in light will come and the person is reduced to a stagnant I AM rather than I AM BECOMING.

Example Two:

We have all heard cases where some cruel adult locked up a child in his room for ten years or more, so the child had no contact with the outside world.

Now in this case the child is forced to go within for his stimulation and learning from without is close to zero.

If learning from within is the goal then after ten years in isolation the kid should be a genius, right?

Not quite. The interesting thing that researchers have discovered is that during these long periods of isolation the child learned virtually nothing and its consciousness was as if the ten years did not exist.

If the child were locked up at the age of five and released at fifteen he will still see himself as a five year old. Lack of stimulation from without brought his progression to a halt.

This lack of progression is something that I have observed in both extremes of thought. The literal Bible believer cannot get past his outward authority riveting him into his mindset and the “all is within” person will not take an objective look at reality as it is.

A couple years ago several group members were trying to convince me that all knowledge is within so I gave them a challenge.

I wrote down a one digit number in my notebook and challenged the group to go within and retrieve it. Now as soon as I wrote that in the notebook it became true that at this moment in time and space I had indeed written a certain number.

The group guessed every number they could think of from 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 and none of them were correct. They were beside themselves until someone realized that it must be a negative number. Finally when the group was headed the right direction through the process of elimination and about a half dozen more guesses they discovered that the answer was minus 2.

The interesting thing is that no one by going within was able to even discover the direction of the number (positive or negative) let alone the number until almost all wrong answers were eliminated.

Now it is true that the number was written in the akasha and an adept could have retrieved it, but none on the group who were preaching that they have this great power to go within and find truth were able to.

The question is this. What good does it do a person to believe that they can go within and retrieve all knowledge when they cannot manifest that belief?

The final test of the validity of a belief is whether or not the belief can be demonstrated.

So how would an adept have retrieved the number? Wouldn’t he have gotten it from within?

Answer: No. Within alone does not cut it. He would have gone to his higher senses within and observed the Akashic records without. Using a balance of the within and the without he could have retrieved the number.

So why am I teaching this and why is this important information?

The answer is this: if a person has the simple belief that all he has to do to get any information in the universe is to go within, then, if this belief is strong enough, it creates a thoughtform that hovers around the seeker almost as a separate living entity that has a life of its own. This quasi entity also picks up information from questionable sources and feeds the seeker.

What often happens next is that the seeker gets more and more facts and data fed to him from the thoughtform. Usually there is no way to confirm whether or not this data is true and no principles are ever transferred.

This person will then get all kinds of false information filtered through his belief system. If his beliefs are centered around extra terrestrials he may believe he is in contact with ZOR from Alpha Centauri. This ZOR will have a piece of data for any question asked. He can tell you the exact hour the great earthquake will come, the exact date the world will end, when the mothership will show up, how many planets are in his system, how old the universe is, what parts of the earth will soon be under water and so on.

The thing is that ZOR is telling you nothing that Larry, Keith or Benjamin couldn’t think up just as well. I could say Alpha Centauri has 10 planets around it and one of them is populated by intelligent lizards and who could prove me wrong?

I could say that the mothership will show up July 5, 2025 and no one could prove me wrong until that date, and even at that time ZOR will tell us that mankind was just not ready in time and the date was moved up.

Beware of anyone who claims to be going within and only brings forth facts and data, but no principles. True disciples of the Christ and the Masters around Him will always teach or amplify principles and teach others to find truth through such principles and verification of principles.

There is no knowledge, facts and data as we understand them in the formless worlds. This is why you cannot retrieve them by going within. You can go within and use the power of the Spirit through your soul to confirm true principles, but you cannot acquire data only by this high method. On the other hand, after a principle is made clear to the student, through an increase in light, much knowledge then becomes available to the physical brain that was previously hidden.

Consider this analogy: You as the master of your body are like a god to the infinite little lives who live there. Similarly, the one God has the whole universe as a physical body, and you are a tiny life that lives within this greater body.

Now there are an infinite number of things going on in your body of which you are completely unaware because your attention is on a higher level. Right now your kidneys and liver are doing a fantastic and complicated job of removing poisons from your body and you are completely oblivious as to how it is done and the intelligence that is doing it, even though these life energies are a part of you.

Your tiny cells with their DNA are duplicating themselves with overwhelming intelligence and you do not have a clue as to how it is done.

In other words, you (the wholeness) as a god to your body “know nothing” about many of the things going on there. If your little cells were to ask you a question about how to alter their DNA there is little you could do to help them because your attention is on a higher level. Because these little lives have their attention on their own world they are expected to solve their own problems You, as a larger entity, have your own new worlds to conquer.

If there were some purpose in it you could use your power of ATTENTION to commune with the lives in your body, but it is important that they handle their own problems so you are allowed to place your ATTENTION on the world where your normal consciousness and Purpose is.

The Principle of Time

A reader espouses these popular beliefs and deserves comment:

(1) There is no past or future, but only the present.

(2) Truth “is never about the outside.”

(3) Things on the outside can only hurt us when we believe they can hurt us. If we “free ourselves” from negative thoughts and energies no harm can come to us.

Let us start with number one. She makes a good point that we should not live in the past or the future, but I maintain that neither should we live exclusively in the present. Think back to the Pendulum principle which we discussed earlier. People tend to go to the extremes as does a pendulum making the point of truth which should be lived a moving target difficult to pin down.

Going to the extremes always leads to illusions and we can go to an extreme by living too much in the past, the future or the present.

Now we have all met people who live too much in the past or live in their dreams in the future, but how could one live too much in the present? After all isn’t the present all there is? If this is true then the true reality is that we indeed live totally in the present and the truth is to merely acknowledge this. Right?

Not right.

Why?

Answer: Present time is no more a true reality than is past time or future time. This is understood when we realize the principle which creates present time.

What is that principle?

Present time is created through the interplay of past time and future time just as soul is the creation of matter (a past creation) and Spirit (perfect future creation).

As we discussed earlier, the present as we understand it is not a point, but a package or quantum of time which is composed of past, present and future. Consciousness itself is merely the registration of these packages of time moving by us as a film clip with each package consisting of around one sixtieth of a second, but even within this quantum there are billions of points of time past, present and future.

Consciousness, therefore cannot live in the present for the present cannot exist without the future and the past.

In reality we “see only the past” (as taught by the Course in Miracles) because our consciousness is always at least a sixtieth of a second behind the true present. Therefore, all of us technically live in the past because we never catch up to the true present.

In this reality we cannot exist exclusively in the past, present or future. This reality is created from this Trinity of forces, and wholeness (or holiness) consists of living wisely within all three of these points and managing their direction, so the past, present and future all become desirable realities.

But how can the past become desirable if we had a bad experience there?

If we manage the present and the future wisely then even past painful experiences become springboards to joyous living and are turned to a pleasant memory rather than painful.

When I think back to my most painful memories that I have learned from I certainly would not want to go through them again, but because I have learned lessons from them they have become some of my most precious memories that I cherish very highly.

On the other hand, when one does not learn from the past the pain from the past remains and the present, past and future all become distorted and uncomfortable to pass through.

What would happen if there were no past or future?

Answer: There would also be no present for the present is the interaction of the two.

If then there is no past, present or future what would there be?

Answer: There would be no form, no energy, no consciousness, nothing to act or to be acted upon, no sadness, no joy, no duality. There would be NO THING.

Now some say the state of NO THING is the goal to which we should all aspire, but if this is so then why are we here to begin with?

Obviously this universe, with you and I in it, are here for a purpose and if we do not live through this experience we are in with wisdom then we are negating the grand purpose of God.

Aesop’s Fable of the Grasshopper and the Ant (revised)

There was a positive thinking grasshopper who had not a care in the world. He spent his day singing and playing for he had no fears or cares about any dreadful future of lack. Thus he made no preparations to prepare to avert an unhappy situation which was far from his consciousness.

The grasshopper came across some silly ants who were working very hard to store and prepare food so that when the winter comes they would not freeze to death.

“Come play and sing with me,” said the Grasshopper, “for look – the sun is shining, the weather is good – let us enjoy life.”

“We enjoy work as well as play, said the ants and now is the time to work so we may be prepared for the freezing cold and time of lack to come.”

The grasshopper, who had never seen a winter, ridiculed the ants. “You ants are doing all this work for nothing. From the time of my first memory the sun has shined in its strength and there has always been plenty of fruit and greens for me to eat. Life is for play and joy. Do not be deceived into thinking that you must go through this drudgery of work to prepare for a fearful future. Let your fears go as I have and you shall be forever free.”

“We do not work out of fear,” said the ants, “but work to be free from fear. When the winter comes we shall see who will really know what fear is.”

The grasshopper shook his head and went his way playing, singing and making fun of the ants until the day of winter.

A day of great cold came and snow blanketed the area. The grasshopper was freezing and there was nothing to eat and a fear overtook him the likes which he had never before experienced. Then he remembered the busy ants and the thought occurred to him that they would have food stored up for a time of lack.

He sought out the ant colony and peeped in the ant hole and sure enough there were the ants dancing and singing as they feasted on the bounty they had stored up. The grasshopper called out to them and said:

“Help me please. Give me some of your food that I too may survive the winter.”

The ants responded. “You are much larger than us and if we help you our colony will starve also. You had your chance to prepare and your answer was to think positive and enjoy life. We looked to the future and prepared. We enjoyed our work and now we enjoy our play. Now is the time for you to learn the lesson that is taught by lack and fear that such a situation will never again happen to you. We wish you well.”

The door was then shut

Question: Is being like the grasshopper and thinking positive thoughts and having no fear enough to avoid negative consequences in life?

Why not?

Is looking to the future as did the ants a silly thing to do, or is it wise?

Trusting Goodness

Concerning the electrical crisis in California I notice that they are having a huge conflict there about whether they should continue to regulate the retail price the utilities charge. It is becoming obvious to even the densest mind that the utilities there can only continue for so long in selling electricity at a rate which is below their own cost. Rationalizing that the utilities are just greedy will only carry so much weight and then finally the truth must be faced.

It is obvious that when you build no new power plants for ten years and the population doubles that you are going to have shortages. Compared to Gray Davis, George Bush looks like a genius here. In the last five years Texas has built 22 new power plants with an additional 15 under construction.

The environmentalists have shot themselves in the foot on this power plant shortage and support of price controls. The result has been that the price of electricity has been artificially low and this has discouraged the development of alternative fuels which will be a big boon to the environment.

Before those who control the money get serious about alternative fuels there has to be a financial attraction and there will be little attraction when utility prices are artificially low.

A problem with many environmentalists (but not all) is that they are anti technology and it is technology which is eventually going to give us a clean fuel source which we shall use for thousands of years to come.

Some are so extreme that they want to limit the population of the earth to a couple million people and return to tribal living and run naked with the bears, but such is not the vision of the new age held in the minds of the Great Ones.

The possibilities of mankind will be revealed in outer form through technology as a forerunner to the full revelation of the inner powers.

We have been exploring avenues where the Beast maintains its grip through getting people to follow the leader without thinking.

As I said earlier ground zero for the Beast is the principle of freedom and any expansion of freedom is always fought by those with the mark of the beast through deception and ridicule.

The principle of freedom expands when one sees the Christ in his fellow man and develops a basic trust in the general goodness of people. As it is, the few are always eager to take away freedom from the many because of distrust. The few with influence always fear that the many will not use freedom wisely and therefore they do not deserve it and should not have it.

Examples:

The utility companies (which are run by people) are greedy and therefore we must control not only the price they charge, but the price they pay for power.

Free Trade. We cannot trust the eventual triumph of the goodness of the human spirit in allowing free trade and we must restrict it.

Drugs. We cannot trust people to make their own decisions about what is good or bad for them so we must control them.

Guns. We cannot trust people with guns, therefore we must take them away.

Vitamins and herbs. We cannot trust people to take wise dosages therefore we must restrict their use to a doctor’s prescription.

Woman’s right to choose. Of course this must be restricted.

Free speech. We must restrict speech that is politically incorrect.

Right to one’s own property. There are many laws restricting the reasonable use of your own property and many more proposed.

In the name of goodness, protection, mom and apple pie almost every freedom we have is under attack from one source or another.

The Beast maintains its power through the manipulation of emotional energy and to escape its influence we must rise to the plane of the mind and the mind can only be developed in an atmosphere of freedom

When you examine the various countries of the world you will see that the less freedom the people have the more they are influenced and controlled through emotion.

To move to the Age of Aquarius we must free up the mind and the mind is freed up as freedom itself abounds. This is why basic democratic rights had to be established on the earth before the new age could come in.

It is indeed true that there is not complete safety in freedom and we must all ask ourselves this question: Do we want perfect safety or freedom? Which is the most important?

Do we all want to be forced to drive 30 miles an hour down the freeway so we cannot have an accident bad enough to kill ourselves?

If we truly desired safety above experience we would have never been born in the first place because life itself is a great risk. The very fact that we are here in a place of risk illustrates that deep within the souls of us all is a greater desire to be free and to explore and to BECOME than to just be still, stagnate and safe.

It is becoming clear that giving our power and allegiance to an unjust authority negates the principle of freedom and DECISION.

On the other hand, many take this rejection of authority to an extreme and reject a just or an earned authority.

Name three just authorities and explain how these can enhance the principle of freedom rather than negate it.

A reader comments:

“So it is really more true to say not that it was an Aha ……. but something more like “yes, I knew that, or yes I felt that. The Presence of God is overflowing in me at this moment and I feel like my entire body is glowing!! Oh what a tiny taste of heaven!!”

When someone writes like this I know that such a person has indeed touched the Spirit through the soul. Those who have felt this contact indeed understand the words of Christ which state: “My reward is with me.”

The reward of the just is not some palatial heaven with golden streets, but a true communion and oneness with God and for that we do not have to wait for a second coming, flying saucers or death. The reward of God is here for us now awaiting our decision to accept.

Error Leading to Truth

Great job in leading the class Larry. I particularly liked this statement from you:

“As I wrote a little over a year ago, there was a time I would have considered many in this group as “New Age nuts and kooks”. 🙂

“I thank God that I have been given to see things differently because so many here have so enriched my view of life. But that is what life is about if it is to be truly lived. Even one who has already lived half a century can sometimes see with new eyes. :)”

Unfortunately it is rare to find even one person who is this open minded as an adult. Most who do see themselves as open will shut down as soon as some truth crosses their path that does not align with their mindset.

I also liked Peter’s statement:

“I would think that part of anyone’s growth experience would be to learn to separate the chaff from the grain. Certainly, we must do that with the Bible. Any genre has its share of lemons, as well as jewels. If what was once accepted as jewels turn out to be a pieces of glass, I guess it is easy and safe to just assume they are all just pieces of glass.”

It is indeed true that there is a tremendous amount of illusion circulating among seekers these days – perhaps more than any other time in earth’s history.

This is good and bad. It is good in the fact that many who would pay no attention to higher truth are captivated by some fairly far flung philosophy. Sometimes a completely false but interesting teaching may provide a starting point for a quest that leads to true knowledge. For this reason I am hesitant to criticize some philosophies which I believe to be false. Sometimes the infant seeker becomes crushed through the destruction of his thoughtform and gives up the quest for a lifetime.

Fanciful false philosophies are bad in the fact that many people get locked into them in the belief they have found the ultimate and make no further progress in this lifetime.

The Photon Belt idea is an interesting fanciful doctrine which has attracted the attention of many and whether it is true or false I do see one major mistake that is being made concerning it. Believers are waiting to enter this belt and when they do spiritual transformation is supposed to take place.

But what will cause the transformation?

It is expected to come from the Photon Belt which is something outside of ourselves.

Where does real transformation take place?

Answer: Inside of ourselves.

Is there any time frame that we must wait upon for transformation such as a date when we enter the Photon Belt?

Answer: No. There is no waiting. As soon as you make the decision to move ahead you begin your journey, Photon Belt or no Photon Belt, extra DNA or no DNA, 5th dimension or no fifth dimension. All creation awaits your decision, and your decision comes when you decide and you decide when you realize that there is nothing outside of yourself to wait upon.

An important point that I have stressed in the past is that all inspired writings have more than one interpretation. Each scripture that deals with principles or cycles has a body, soul and spirit according to ancient Jewish belief.

The body is that which is most applicable to life on the physical plane.

Soul interpretations are those who stir the love energy of those who hear the words expounded.

Spirit interpretations are those that appeal to the higher mind and lead to manifestations of the Spirit within.

In addition to these three there is a fourth which is a synthesis of the three. This will be an interpretation from the viewpoint of wholeness (holiness) which will give guidance in practical application, stir the love of God and Spirit within and lead to intuitive understanding.

In addition to this when the mystical number of seven comes into play the number of possible interpretations multiplies exponentially.

How do you know if your interpretation is correct?

For one thing, if it has meaning to you then a value is achieved even if you are far removed from the meaning implied by the original writer.

Apart from this as we seek accuracy we want to apply the law of correspondences. If the interpretation you come up with fits in with this law then you have found something worthy of contemplation and meditation. As you then contemplate the interpretation and correspondences you will move to the next level of seeking intuitive flashes of knowledge. When these flashes come you will know within that they are true for you will see the principle behind them.

When John saw a vision of the woman (false religion) sitting on the Beast we are told that he “wondered with great admiration.” Rev 17:6

Now why was John so astonished at what he saw? At this point he was well aware that there were great powers of apparent evil which fought against the truth and he had seen this work out in the death and persecutions of many of his fellow disciples and attempts on his own life.

What astonished John was not the fact that there was a great force that persecuted the saints, but the amazing thing he witnessed was the extent of its power. Not only were the evil and mean spirited affected by the Beast, but he saw that its tentacles extended and would extend to almost every self conscious human being on the planet. He saw that there were many good and decent people under the spell of false authority and that if an illusion is dispelled in one area it is usually replaced by one in another area.

He probably would have went away from this vision in a state of depression had he also not seen the eventual triumph of the kingdom of God and that this illusion created by the Beast would be dispelled by the fire and light of God that will manifest beginning with the 144,000.

In this current age the greatest most persistent attacks by the Beast come in the area of freedom. The illusion will be that we need to give up more and more of our freedoms for safety.

So, how do you suppose we trade freedom for safety in relation to religion, in relation to the law, in our relationships and in our group associations?

Finding the Beast

Finding the Beast

Some time ago I decided to cover the Beast as one of my first topics in teaching for several reasons. First, the influences of the Beast are everywhere including this group to a degree so in introducing the principle early I hoped to bring up periodical examples of the Beast in action for the purpose of shedding more light on the subject from time to time.

This is essential as the Beast is very difficult to detect when it influences our own lives.

Secondly, I was aware that I would periodically be accused of either being the Beast or working for him so I hoped the teaching on the subject, which is in harmony with not only the Bible, but common sense, would dispel accusations made in a state of blindness.

It is indeed true that the Beast uses unearned authority. Jesus described this use of authority in his day as “the blind following the blind.”

The blind who were followed were the religious authorities of his day and the blind who followed were those who accepted without question.

It is easy for us to look on the past with hindsight and think to ourselves: “If I had lived in the days of Jesus I would have seen through those stupid authorities. I would have recognized the truth in the words he spoke.”

But would you? Would you have been able to escape the Beast in that day? Have you escaped him today? We must all ask ourselves this regularly if we are to remain free in the kingdom of the soul.

Think on this. At the time of the resurrection, Jesus had only 120 who accepted his teachings. That’s 120 out of all the world in that day.

Now we can look back with smugness and clearly see from our vantage point that the authorities in Jerusalem were deluded, but what many of us do not realize is how much different it was to have actually been back there under the thoughtform of the authorities and how difficult it was to see through it at that time.

Even so, in our day, there are many thoughtforms projected by the Beast that the majority buy into. One thousand years from now people will look back on us in smugness and wonder how we could have been so duped. They’ll figure we really must have been primitive in consciousness. Yet they too will not understand what it is like to be here in the current time and have to deal with the illusions which compete for control over our souls.

Several versions of the conception of Jesus have been discussed. Do you accept one of them as a certainty? If so, why do you? If you accept merely because a prophet, priest, teacher or even the Bible says so then you are not free from the Beast.

If you do not know for sure and refuse to accept the word of an authority just because the authority says a thing is true and admit that you are open to all possibilities then you may be free from the Beast – IN THIS AREA.

You are also free from the Beast when you find the real truth whatever that is. How do we do that?

“Go within,” says one.

So when you go within and seek the truth will you be free from the Beast?

Answer: It depends on what part of the “within” you go to. Over 90% of those who go within for truth get their verification filtered through the astral world and the astral world is manipulated by the authorities WITHOUT. Thus, there are many people claiming to teach knowledge from within which is really illusion reflected from without.

This is why the principle of soul contact is so important. Only when soul contact has actually been made will one be able to discern the difference between the astral within and the soul within. Then too, even those who have made contact can slip backwards from time to time, thus the importance of eternal introspection.

One key for understanding soul contact is this. When soul contact is reached and held in consciousness the seeker will then be able to recognize others who have obtained it. They will feel their vibration in any communion and sense a oneness.

Ironically, those who are under the influence of a similar thoughtform of the Beast will also sense a oneness and a kindred spirit, but it will be a oneness in direction. Those who have soul contact will experience a deeper oneness that goes in all directions. This must be experienced to be able to understand and differentiate.

Keep seeking until you find.

The Beast is still alive and well in our day and indeed it represents an energy of authority which attempts to keep humanity from progressing to the plane of the mind which rules Aquarius – being an air sign.

This energy filters through all religions, political parties and philosophies. The key to recognizing the Beast in action will be this: You are expected to believe a thing merely because it is proclaimed and the proclamation so made is lacking some facts, twisting others and appeals to an emotional sense of what is right.

Finding real life examples of the Beast in action is easy as they are everywhere. Just read your daily newspaper. You will see proclamations from politicians, Government organizations, scientists, educators, religious leaders and others. Many people accept these without questions even though they are completely oblivious to the facts surrounding the stories. The average guy just thinks that the authorities have thoroughly investigated the subject and must be correct.

Often just a little research will reveal flaws in the information, but many are just too lazy to even seek to discern the truth.

The true seeker is not lazy but always aware and sincerely wants to know the truth of all things.

Decision and Group Soul

The Question: “He who has fear yet overcomes this barrier will reach the soul before he who has no fear and does not overcome it. What is it?”

Several guessed “indecision:” which is the key word.

Other great answers were given and I regret that I do not have time to comment on them. A number of you could make the case that you have the best answer.

Let me tell you why I see indecision as being a greater barrier than fear.

While it is true that much indecision is caused by fear there are many who are indecisive for reasons other than fear. Maybe the person has inertia, is lazy or just disinterested in applying himself.

A person can be indecisive and have no fear as a cause, yet there is no fear that can stand in the way of a powerful decision.

The two most terrifying moments of my life came about because of supernatural circumstances and I have not written about them before. The terror, I assure you, was much worse than facing a firing squad.

In the first incident I was only 16 and the fear paralyzed me with indecision. This indecision haunted me for about five years.

Then after I came to grips with myself the second incident occurred but this time even though my fear was great, I reached into the innermost resources of my being and made a firm decision and stayed with it. For me it was the most difficult decision imaginable and I hope and pray I do not have to make such a decision again in this life or the next.

Even so I owe more to this decision than anything else that has happened in my life and if I had not made and held to this decision arrived at in the midst of terror I would not be here writing to you tonight. In fact the instant my decision was definite I had a great spiritual experience that eclipsed any fear or negativity.

The fear is now long gone, but the benefit of the decision shall forever remain.

In my first experience I learned the lesson of indecision, but in the second I learned the power of decision.

Look at some of the most indecisive people you know and you’ll notice that many of them do not seem to fear much. In fact they often do not feel much or care for much period. Unless a person’s power of decision can be amplified through force of will or circumstance the soul will never be reached by him. Yet I have learned by experience that even great fear is no barrier for it can be immediately cancelled by a powerful decision and if such a decision is in alignment with the will of the soul then you immediately move toward the Kingdom of God and soul contact.

What I write can be realized to be true because it can be proven by experience and that which we prove through experience is to be trusted until a higher experience gives additional light.

Comment: “Even though I know the power of decision, I still stumble around like a lost soul.”

This will always be the case for a period of time when we enter new vistas of learning. The important point is to eventually get hold of yourself, use the power of will and decide.

Question: So now, how does decision relate to reaching the soul?”

All decision in harmony with soul brings the power of soul, but the main decision I am referring to, that is even more important than overcoming fear, is the decision to seek soul and spirit, the decision to seek higher light, knowledge and understanding, the decision to love…. To be devoid of fear and yet to not advance in these decisions is to move toward a Zombie state.

Honesty which is under discussion is also extremely important after the decision to move toward soul has been made. We have already covered this to some degree, but I will make more comments soon.

Group soul contact is an ideal which shall soon be achieved. In a Molecule of twenty-four individuals each person involved must be capable of such contact or contact for the group as a whole will not be achieved. The weakest link determines the power of the spiritual flow.

We have seen in this group how one person can create division and in division the power of the soul is diminished to the group as a whole (though not to individuals) and then we have seen how a more unified group as we have today brings a greater power of soul and peaceable things of the Spirit.

There is a time for personality and a time for soul. This group first had to grow and develop its personality and now that is accomplished the time has come that the group become more directed toward oneness wherein lies higher contact.

There are advantages to the written and also to the spoken word in reaching the group soul. In written communications the group avoids much of the emotional heat that a gathered group would have, though you would hardly know it by observing some posts in times past.

The advantage of the spoken word is that a teacher can speak from the soul and if the words are eternal words, spoken in the language of the principles, then they are carried through the medium of soul to the hearts and minds of the group, or as it is written in scripture:

“…for when a man speaketh by the power of the Holy Ghost the power of the Holy Ghost carrieth it unto the hearts of the children of men.”

Question: There are three ways a group can become as one voice.

What are these three and what is the difference in the quality of the oneness?

Oneness on the emotional level does indeed have a positive and negative to it. It is positive when a team camaraderie is developed around a positive goal.

It is negative of course, when some type of mob mentality is developed and participants in oneness are unable to check themselves while headed toward the edge of a cliff.

Oneness on the mental level is more sophisticated and stable than the emotional. To disturb this oneness new facts have to be discovered, but to disturb emotional oneness all it takes is for feelings to change. If feelings change for people who are polarized emotionally then it does not matter if the truth of the facts remain the same.

Oneness on the soul level is very rare. It has sometimes occurred in the foundation stage of some of our more benevolent organizations, but has rarely occurred after they have become established, except among small pockets of members or participants.

Group soul contact will become an increasing topic of discussion, investigation and experiment over the next seven hundred years after which time group soul contact will become so accepted that the common man will be aware of the concept and aspire to universal brotherhood.

A point of interest here is that spiritual oneness encompasses the oneness of the mind and emotions. In addition the oneness of mind encompasses the emotional. The higher includes the lower, but the lower does not comprehend or encompass the higher. For instance, one polarized in the mind can ague with an emotional person and will find that reason and logic will merely confuse or enflame him.

Over 90% of humanity are controlled in some degree though emotional oneness and this is the power behind the mark of the Beast.
