Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 19

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 19
A City on the Sea

JJ: One of the ways that I believe the Lights are going to escape some of the coming calamities is by building cities upon the sea. There is only one place on earth that is not controlled by governments, though they’re trying to control that now. It’s the oceans, international waters. If you were to go build a city upon the sea it would be completely independent from any government because no one government can claim international waters.

The second alternative is to build great ships. Ships that are like floating cities but instead of staying in one place they can go around the earth. One particular guy had this idea. When the idea came to me about building cities on the oceans I wondered if anyone else had had the idea. Another guy had the idea to build what he called the Freedom Ship. It’s on the Internet if you want to google Freedom Ship. It will give you a picture of it. He’s been trying to get financing for this for about ten years now.

It’s a giant ship. It is to house about 50,000 people. It even has its own airport on it. It’s for the rich though. It’s pretty expensive. He doesn’t plan on escaping calamities with it. His idea is to launch it and spend a two year time period visiting almost every major port in the world then circling back to the point of origin and starting all over again. He’s thinking of creating trade by buying and selling in different ports so people can have businesses and actually make money through working deals with the various peoples where they land. It’s not a bad idea. He claims the ship is big enough to resist a tsunami. It’s almost like a floating island.

That’s a feasible idea, but I see a combination where perhaps if we built a city in the ocean it could also be movable. If we had to move it out of the way of a hurricane or something we could start the engines and move it, provided we had enough satellite warning. We could make them like Legos, manufacture them on land and float them out to the floating city and join them up like a Lego construct until eventually we get a large city. To accomplish this we would need maybe about 10,000 people’s interest. What we have is just a small number of people right now interesting in anything that we’re teaching. But I envision a time when we will be able to permeate society with certain ideas. Say if we had a book as popular as the DaVinci Code. We could captivate people’s imagination with that much publicity. That’s what we’re going to need.

Does everyone know who DK [Djwahl Khul] is? He’s the entity, the master who gave the writings to Alice A. Bailey. He says, that to bring in the New Age it’s going to take money, it’s going to take billions of dollars in advertising. Because to take new ideas and permeate society – it takes a lot of money. Eventually we will be able to do that but in order to pull off this floating city we are going to have to think big. One of the problems of the people who are into the survivalist mode is they preach to a lot of people then get 3 or 4 followers then they try to build a community and nothing happens.

Dan worked with one of the most successful ones I’ve heard about. Do you want to tell us about it Dan? Tell us the pros and cons of what you went through. It was in Costa Rica, right?

Dan: “Costa Rica, right. As it started out they tried to get enough money together to purchase land or an island somewhere. When that didn’t pan out, after ten years or so, they decided to try to create an Internet community. The problem with it was programmers were mostly involved and they are so independent minded that we couldn’t get everybody together to cooperate enough to get anything done. Everybody wanted to follow his own path basically. They didn’t have a project manager. There was probably ten or fifteen million dollars gathered there. It ended up going down the drain. The man that had the idea originally was really Hollywood. He put a lot of stock into glitz and glamour to try to woo the rich folk down there to give him their millions. It ended up completely failing just a couple of years ago.”

JJ: Would you say one of the main reasons for failure is that people were just too independent?

Dan: “Yeah, that’s it exactly.”

JJ: That’s what I find about everybody in the survivalist mode. They’re so independent that they can’t hardly find even one other person to cooperate with them because they are so into their own ideas. Other people, like a members of various religions, are accused of being such sheep that they can’t think for themselves. People go to one extreme or the other, it seems like. Either they are complete sheep that have to be told what to do or they’re so independent that they can’t get anything done because they can’t get anybody to work with them.

This is where the soul comes in. If a group has soul contact and the soul registers a certain idea or concept, and people are in tune with the soul, that can bring independent people together. This is what we all go through. As we go through our evolution we evolve through our emotional body where we want to be like a sheep and follow somebody and we do everything they say. Then we’re let down so often that we break free of that and we become very independent. The next step up is to get soul contact. Then we maintain our independence yet we understand the importance of cooperating and will cooperate through the soul even when our personalities may not agree 100%.

This is what the core group of the gathering of lights has to be. They have to have the soul contact so that their independence is recognized yet they are willing to cooperate for the greater good. It’s like Spock when he was ready to die in that Star Trek movie wherein he said:

“The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”

If we were to build a city on the seas or a complementary floating city with it or a great ship that goes around and does commerce, the combination of these two things could really accomplish a lot. There are several advantages of this.

We could plant it anywhere in the oceans that we wanted or move it to any spot that we wanted. If an ice age came and there were glaciers all over Canada and they started creeping down to Idaho and Chicago, it wouldn’t bother us. We could float down until we were in a tropical paradise. We could continue to live in a tropical paradise no matter what happened because if one part of the earth begins to freeze or get too hot we could just move to where the weather was nice. That’s one thing about being mobile. We’d have a mobile city capable of motion so we could stay in a nice temperate area in which to live.

There are a lot of different businesses we could go into. We could grow hydroponic foods. We could mine for gold in the ocean water and develop that sort of thing. There are a lot of different minerals that can be obtained from the ocean. There is a lot of different herbs and medicines that can be drawn from the ocean floor that people really haven’t explored much yet.

Assaf: “The United Nations, I think, has some rules against independently mining the ocean.”

JJ: They’re not happy controlling all the land. They want to control all the oceans. They’re even thinking of charging people for using the oceans. But we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. If there is a great calamity there won’t be any UN to deal with.

So, the advantage to this is that it would provide a place for the Lights to gather, give them protection, give them mobility. There are several dangers. There is the possibility of a great upheaval of the oceans themselves or a great tsunami we might have to worry about. But two things will counter this. First energy follows thought. I believe a group of enlightened souls that understands the principle of energy following thought can help to actually manipulate the weather with their thought and hold back any calamities that may affect them if they are gathered. If they’re not gathered, if they are intermixed with people who don’t understand the principle then they won’t have much power to prevent anything. Like the Bible story of Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah, before it was destroyed Lot and his family were told to get out. If they had stayed they would’ve been destroyed.

You’re taking a little bit of risk no matter where you go. Noah, when he built his ark, felt he was taking a risk right there. We’re taking a risk whatever we do but looking at this, we can control the weather to a certain extent in the gathered condition because energy follows thought and because of that a city on the ocean composed of gathered lights will be secure as secure can get because it’s also mobile.

This is something somewhat in the future. I believe it needs to be started within the next 20 years. It’s a fairly long-term project but when the time comes that somehow we’re able to strike a chord that rings with the public consciousness, so that we’re in their consciousness, like the Davinci Code is in the public consciousness now, then we can pull this off and get it started.

(Note: At the time of this editing in 2025, 20 years have passed and  a number of visionaries are actively working on the creation of floating cities)

Audience: “Another advantage is that tourism would be huge because we wouldn’t have the AMA [American Medical Association] telling us what is healing and what is not as far as cancers and stuff. Those things that are available to others we would be able to buy them.”

JJ: I’m glad you reminded me of that because tourism would just about pay for building the city on the ocean. In addition to that, we wouldn’t have anybody telling us what we can and can not do. Medically we could research cures for cancer. No income tax. Maybe a sales tax or something very simple. A lot of people would want to invest in what we’re doing because of the lack of taxes. A lot of people would want to incorporate there.

Audience: “Was this your idea or where did it come from?”

JJ: It came to me about ten years ago but I just presented it for the first time in Manti last year.

Assaf: “Would we still need police and an army?”

JJ: We always need police for a few of the reprobates but hopefully not very many. We might need them to keep an eye on Mindy as she’s always raising hell. (laughter)

Artie, are you ready to give away the presents?

Artie: “Presents? They’re prizes, not presents.”

JJ: I think the common people will be the ones behind this because they could take the equity in their home and buy a new home, have it built, and have it shipped out and joined like a Lego to the group. We’d eventually have our own parks and everything while floating on the sea. For transportation we wouldn’t need regular cars but maybe little electric vehicles to buzz around. You wouldn’t need to go very far in most cases.

Artie: “Some of you who were late getting here yesterday probably missed hearing me say we have these fabulous prizes that I give out ever year. Except this year I had a bunch more because I had a bunch of Christmas crap that I wanted to get rid of. (laughter) I thought, ‘I’ll just bring them here.’ Instead of doing door prizes where it is just a matter of luck, I’m going to give listening prizes to see if you’re listening. I was listening and I came up with three questions so far. When you have the answer stand up and I’m going to watch who is first. I’ll also pay attention to who is second because if you’re wrong I need to go to the second person to see who is next. That’s the person who gets the prize, whoever comes up with the right answer. Ok, what was the Greek word for perfection that means exactly right? To do something exactly right?”

Rob: “Akribela.”

Artie: “Rob gets the prize. (applause) Let’s see Rob. What’s something you might really enjoy? I think I’ll let you come back here and pick your prize but you can’t tell anybody what’s in here.

“He got the best one of course. Hold it up so everyone can see. It’s a water fountain with candles. (Audience chatters as Artie says, ‘No, I’m not regifting!’ I did buy this.) These are original presents. We’re suckers for people who come around the office and sell us this stuff and I have a whole closet full of this stuff and need to get rid of it. On to the next question. Rob you can’t win again. Once you win, that’s it. Next question. Do you remember the guided meditation? What was the fifth event in that guided meditation? What was the fifth thing he asked you to look at?”

Assaf: “The abode.”

Artie: “Yes! Very good! (applause) Assaf picked the corkscrew bottle opener. One more thing for tonight. What was the cycle that JJ talked about just before we went to dinner, the magnetic pole shift. There is a cycle of a period of years. How much time is in that cycle?”

Belen: “150,000.”

Artie:

“Yes. You guys are good! (applause).

“Belen got the personal organizer with a calculator. That’s it for today.”

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 18

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 18
Preparing for the Worst

We all know about Atlantis and Lemuria and lost continents but they have uncovered evidence that there were more recent cataclysmic Earth changes somewhere between 2000 and 3000 BC. The closest they can come up with is about 2200. It was cataclysmic to the extent that they have found in coal mines, skeletons of men two miles deep. They aren’t that old, just around 4000 years old. They’ve found ships on the mountains of Peru that must’ve been, at one time, a seashore. Otherwise, why would a ship be up thousands of feet on a mountain in Peru buried under some ashes there. They’ve found mounds and mounds of people swept away by some great cataclysm that they figure must’ve been thousands or hundreds of thousands of bodies accumulated together in big clumps. They trace this cataclysm back to the time of the flood of Noah, and what the research indicates is Noah wasn’t the only one to survive — there were probably Noahs on other parts of the world.

Some think it is the legend of people who survived Atlantis but apparently a lot of new research indicates there was a flood after Atlantis that consumed a good portion of the Earth. It was a tremendous flood with lots of earth changes where valleys became mountains and mountains became valleys. They have researched back as far as they can research recorded civilization but they can only go so far then they come upon a great stumbling block. The stumbling block is this cataclysm they had a couple thousand years BCE. There was something big that happened. When we research this, even though man has been upon the Earth millions of years, it’s a miracle he is still here when you figure the cataclysms that have come and gone.

For instance, approximately every 250,000 years there is a cataclysm big enough to almost destroy all life on the Earth. It’s happened at least 6 or 7 times and almost wiped everything out but then life started evolving again.

We might be in a kind of a pocket here where, if we can develop our technology enough to prepare for the next cataclysm, then we can continue our evolution. What’s happened in the past is during Atlantis they had a great civilization, lost it and began to develop it again. Then apparently a couple thousand years BC they had a cataclysm that destroyed a lot of civilization and they had to start again. This seems to be a pattern. A civilization evolves, then gets destroyed again and again. In a way it gives us an opportunity to relearn everything and recreate but my gut feeling is that we’re approaching a time where humanity must prepare for the things ahead so that we can escape the cataclysms of the future.

I don’t think we’re going to have a major Earth destroying one in the next hundred years but I think we’re going to have some shake-ups. But if we can survive these shake-ups and keep our technology then eventually we can prepare so even if we had to we could send ships into outer space.

Say if a big cataclysm happened or a major flood we could have an outpost in outer space and when everything settled down we could come back and reseed everything. Eventually it will come to that. When the next cataclysm, a major one, will be I don’t know. They say there will be a super one every several hundred million years and we’re supposedly not too far off from that. There is an ice age every 11,000-12,000 years and we’re also due for another one of those. That wouldn’t destroy all life on the planet but it would make it uncomfortable for a lot of people.

As far as ice ages go, there are also mini ice ages. Six hundred years ago we had a mini ice age. Fourteen hundred years ago we had a time period about like we have now where we had a pretty nice climate. Then we have a more intense ice age come every 11,500 years and greater ones still in larger cycles. Every couple hundred years there is a significant change in the climate of the Earth, a lot bigger than CO2 emissions could cause. CO2 emissions may cause only a relatively small change but the big changes come from Mother Earth itself — not only what happens internally but what happens externally, the sun and what happens when we go through a certain section of the galaxy every 250,000 years. There seems to be a cycle of destruction that coincides with our rotation around the galaxy with a similar time period between destructions.

So, the point is that it’s only a matter of time before something big happens. When we get psychic impressions we get a lot of different ones. If Sharón’s impression that New Orleans is going to be under water next year I’m going to go back and re-listen to her recording very carefully. It will be interesting to see if that comes true. I hope we don’t have big events that early. I hope we get more time to prepare. So, what can we do to prepare? If a big earthquake hits us or a tsunami or a big flood or all of a sudden a big glacier forms and is heading to where you live, what are you going to do about it?

Here is what I suggest. First of all, get in tune with your soul. If your soul wants your life saved and there is some disaster coming, you’ll get feelings about it. You may receive dreams about it. If you get a dream about it and find out other people are having the same dream about some coming disaster, that’s something to pay attention to.

I believe that if a major disaster is coming a number of people who are sensitive will start to get the same message. It’s not a sure sign because oftentimes when one psychic gets a certain message other psychics will read about it and begin repeating the same message, just because of the power of suggestion. So, you have to use judgment in all things. If it’s completely spontaneous without the power of suggestion involved and just ordinary people are getting impressions or having dreams that they should move or something is going to happen to the city they are living in, that’s the time to really pay attention.

There is something about a disaster that there is always a gathering of lights out of the area of destruction. That doesn’t mean everyone who is destroyed isn’t enlightened to some degree. Sometimes it’s just their time to go or inwardly they choose to go. But oftentimes there will be lights gathered out of a place where there will be a major disaster.

So, it’s important you pay attention to your impressions, to the impressions of your neighbors and like I say, it may not be a famous psychic that is getting the impression. You may just find that your next-door neighbor who is barbecuing his hamburger telling you he had the weirdest dream. It’s like often when there is an airplane crash one or two people will get a strong impression not to board the plane. The rest of the people either weren’t sensitive enough or their soul figured it was as good of time for them to go as any.

So, what can we do to prepare?

Number one is to pay attention to your impressions. Pay attention to what you receive. For one thing, if you get an impression — it doesn’t matter if it’s related to a disaster or your personal life or something to do with your spiritual evolution — it’s important you pay attention to it. If you pay attention to it then you’ll get more. If you don’t pay attention to it then you won’t get more. So pay attention to all the impressions that you receive. Take them seriously. Then your sensitivity will grow and if the time comes that you need to escape some calamity, you’ll be shown a way out.

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 17

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 17
Threats to the Planet

JJ: Wouldn’t it be funny, since we’re really facing an ice age, that putting a little extra CO2 in the atmosphere makes it just enough warmer that the ice age won’t be quite so bad or maybe avoided? That’s a possibility. Here is my personal belief on the matter. I think the major calamities like continents sinking and new lands appearing won’t happen for somewhere around 100 years or more from now. I think we have some time before it happens. In between we’re going to see some nasty stuff, of course, like the recent tsunami. We’re going to have an increase in calamities but the big stuff I do not believe will happen for a while.

There is a scripture in the book of Revelations where God speaks to the four angels holding the four winds of the earth. It says, “Hurt not the earth, neither the trees or the sea until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” In other words, these four angels can control some of the calamities that could come upon us and they were told to hold back until the servants of our God are sealed in their foreheads.

What does that mean to have a seal in your forehead? These people with the name of God upon their forehead look to the God within. In other words, a certain number of people have to manifest upon the earth that are able to see the presence of God within rather than be dependent upon a priest or a church or a Bible without; they can sense the presence of God within. The real bad calamities are being held back until there are a certain number of people discover the inner kingdom of God. 144,000 is a symbolic number, but there is a certain number of people on which the earth is waiting to manifest the presence of God before the calamities come.

Why is this? It’s because, to rebuild the earth so we can have a true new age of peace and prosperity we need a seed people. People who are like the seeds for the kingdom of God so they can be the leaders to lead the rest of the world to greater consciousness and greater peace. If the world is destroyed then taken over by a bunch of thugs and it’s just survival of the fittest, we’re not going to have a better world at all. Instead, if there is a calamity, the Earth has to prepare a people with a higher consciousness to guide the survivors and the people who will be left to a greater freedom, a more democratic government, a freer government, fewer taxes, more sharing for both the individual and the group.

Here are a couple more statements of interest. Sea levels have been rising for 6,000 years, 4-8 inches every 100 years. Now scientists say the rising of the sea levels, which is a big concern, is slowing down. Scientists are concerned that the rising of the sea levels are slowing down because if the oceans are gaining in temperature, then they release all this moisture into the air, then they will go down. This becomes a concern. It could trigger an ice age.

The greater part of Antarctica experiences a longer sea/ice season lasting 21 days longer today than it did in 1979. The Antarctic Peninsula has warmed several degrees while the interior has cooled somewhat. Ice shelves have retreated but sea ice has increased. Both satellite and ground stations show a slight cooling over the last 20 years.

Regarding carbon dioxide, we’re concerned about carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas but people don’t realize that water vapor is also a greenhouse gas. Only 380 parts per million of the atmosphere is carbon dioxide of which there are varied estimates from 3% to 26% being caused by  human activity.

CO2 only makes less  than four hundreds of one percent of our atmosphere which means that human caused CO2 from the last 100 years makes up less than one hundredth of one percent of the air we breathe.

With such a small amount of CO2 at play scientists are unable to supply us with definite proof that it is causing any significant harm beyond natural causes. However CO2 is a plant food and the increase over the past  century has benefited plant life and food production.

Twenty thousand scientists recently signed a petition rejecting the government’s orthodox view on global warming.

In other words, what these scientists who have studied it say is that carbon dioxide created by humans is such a small amount that over the last century the temperature of the atmosphere has warmed only one third of a degree. Now, the promoters of global warming are saying one degree but they are counting the rise of the temperature of the ocean in that. If we just count the atmosphere, the entire atmosphere has only risen one third of a degree in the last century and of that third of a degree maybe a hundredth of a degree or less is due to what humanity has done. So, anything we have done may be very small.

But what we have to worry about is the actual cycles more than anything because if the water temperature is indeed warming because of increased volcanic activity under the ocean. There needs to be more studies on these as they could contribute much more to cyclic warming and cooling than realized.

We’re near that saturation point now. Once you reach the saturation point, putting more stuff into the atmosphere wouldn’t increase the effect of greenhouse gases once a certain degree has been reached. But there have been times in history that they’ve gone back and found a number of things to worry about including times the ocean has warmed very quickly. There are times when the magnetic poles have shifted. It completely shifts every 250,000 years. We’re overdue for a shift of the magnetic pole and that could produce some calamities.

They have not come across any concrete evidence that mass destruction has been caused by a meteorite. A lot of scientists believe that the dinosaurs were destroyed by a meteorite but they haven’t found the remnants of where a meteor struck.

Audience: “Mentioned the meteor impact in the Gulf of Mexico.”

JJ: It’s not big enough. They’ve done some calculations on that and figured it would’ve created quite a lot of destruction but not enough to create the amount of destruction we’re talking about. I can’t remember how many times but it was about 5 or 6 times that amount. There is another meteorite strike, I think it’s somewhere in Ohio, that is similar.

A lot of scientists are attached to this meteorite theory but there are several other theories that they are gravitated toward. One is a tremendous rise in the ocean heat. The second is the magnetic pole shift. The third is, the Earth circulates around the galaxy every couple of hundred thousand years and we go through a certain section of the galaxy that is very destructive to us. They’re not sure what causes it, whether it is some sort of magnetic pole or it could be meteorites. This is another theory they have. Some scientists are gravitating away from the meteor causing the great extinction event because they can’t find enough evidence of enough destruction. Some say the meteorite you mentioned would’ve caused a lot of destruction but not enough to destroy the dinosaurs so quickly.

The Earth has encountered enough destruction several times to destroy about 90% of the life on the entire planet. We had to almost start all over again.

There is one more thing we’ll cover briefly when we return. In about 2200 BC there was a lot of destruction that scientists have almost overlooked that other people are looking into. There was a major upheaval then and ironically this was the time period spoken of in the Bible of Noah’s Ark. Some people are looking at that thinking maybe there was a great destruction in that time period.

Audience: Inaudible.

JJ: Quite possible. Some say there was destruction in Moses’ time period too.

Audience: Inaudible.

JJ: According to the Bible Adam was supposed to have appeared around 4000 BC. Of course, most people know there was life on earth long before then. Noah’s ark was supposed to have happened about 1650 years after Adam or about 2350 BCE.

These other scientists are looking into the history of destruction that occurred and they can only go back with modern civilization somewhere between 2000 and 3000 BCE and all of a sudden, a great civilization began to start about that time period. It wasn’t something that evolved slowly. All of a sudden the Egyptians knew how to build pyramids and had quite a bit of technology and the Aztecs had the same thing. Technology appeared on both sides of the planet around 2000 BC and there is no explanation indicating that there was a gradual evolution. There is evidence that a great destructive event happened and before this destructive event happened they seemed to have had a lot of technology that was passed down.

They’ve unearthed instruments that are many thousands of years old — before the destruction happened. They’ve unearthed steel balls and different contraptions. They’ve unearthed, I believe somewhere in Central America, a piece of a telescope and optics and things they weren’t supposed to have in ancient times indicating there was an ancient civilization that was destroyed but not completely destroyed. You can imagine our civilization — we have all these computers and depend on all these things — if we had a catastrophe a lot of us wouldn’t know how to duplicate it. What if the people who make our computers all got hit by something? We’d take what we have and make the best of it. We wouldn’t be starting from scratch but we would lose a lot. This is the theory of what happened after the last cataclysmic event, around 2000 BC they lost a lot through a great catastrophe. But they didn’t lose everything thus they were able to start with a fairly high degree of civilization. It’s interesting that after this happened a lot was lost but a lot was gained or preserved at the same time.

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 16

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 16
Earth Changes

JJ: There are a number of potential sources of clean energy, and even though nuclear is the only one we have that would be non-polluting, a lot of people are scared of it. It would be nice if we could find super tall windmills or maybe use currents from the ocean. The ocean has unlimited energy. Or if we could find some new way of separating hydrogen from oxygen because separating them to make hydrogen fuel takes a lot of energy.

They’re working on ways of doing this which won’t take so much energy and if they have a breakthrough and we could get hydrogen cheaply without having to use nuclear or some power source to do it, that would be better. People are spooked by nuclear even though I believe we are reaching the technological level where we can create safe power plants. We haven’t created one in the United States for twenty years because anybody who wants to make one is threatened with lawsuits.

Audience: “I think part of the trouble with nuclear, maybe we have the technology to create safer, cleaner power plants now but we still have all the old plants that we have to somehow deal with even if we transitioned to the new plants. I think that’s where a lot of fear comes from.”

JJ: Right. Even the old plants are pretty safe. There are several fail-safes among them. Three Mile Island received a lot more negative publicity than it deserved. There were three or four different fail-safes there and it only went through one layer of them which tripped. There was about as much nuclear radiation released as on the dial of your watch, but everyone was really spooked over it. You can’t blame them for being spooked when you associate nuclear with the nuclear bomb. It’s very scary for people. If it was possible to produce safe plants the public opinion could change on that eventually. Matter of fact, public opinion was pretty accepting until Three Mile Island and also Chernobyl.

Audience: “The public not coming to any solutions is one thing but the fact, like, I heard it said that the energy industry generates something like eight trillion dollars per year. So you have a group of people and that’s their industry. They aren’t going to be willing to let go of that.”

JJ: True, that’s a big problem we have. Any change in the power industry has to come fairly slowly because if it comes too quickly people with a lot of money are going to fight it. That’s something we need to realize and work around to some degree.

It’s an interesting thing to contemplate about creating a power source because a cheap power source has to be produced before the New Age can come fully in. Whether it be safe nuclear, tides, some type of wind power but right now alternatives like wind, solar and geothermal can only, according to scientists, produce only 2% of our needs. That’s all unless there is some breakthrough or change of focus. A breakthrough with solar is limited by the amount of energy available from the sun. Right now solar panels only convert 16-20% of the sun’s radiation into energy.

Audience: “How about the magnetic field of the earth? Could that be harnessed and studied?”

JJ: That’s a good point. Nikola Tesla had a theory that the earth itself oscillates back and forth and this oscillation produces electrical power that can be tapped into. Some people claim he actually tapped into this. His belief was that with advanced technology we could put some type of antenna on our roof that would tap into this energy that is already there through the oscillation of the earth. The Earth moves back and forth and wobbles. Just one little wobble would release a tremendous amount of energy and he believed that eventually this could be tapped into and everyone could have an antenna on their roof and bring in the electric power that they want and be completely independent from all the power sources that are out there.

Now the power sources that are out there probably aren’t too excited about developing something like this because if we could get the antenna for a couple hundred bucks and charge our cars with it, power our homes and get all of our power from this one little source then they wouldn’t be making much money off of us. So probably not too many people wanted to rush into developing this but this is a theory of Nikola Tesla that I found it very interesting. He was quite a guy.

I went to the library one time and read all the old articles about him from really old magazines. I saw this one article I hadn’t seen anywhere before. It was in New York City. They kept having a tremor in New York and nobody could trace its cause. It didn’t seem to be a normal earthquake or anything. Every other day the whole city would shake slightly and everybody wondered what it was. Someone went to the police and said, “I think Nikola Tesla might have something to do with this.” So the police got a warrant and they broke into his laboratory and it was during a time that the city was shaking. His whole building was shaking. He had this great big machine in the center of his laboratory and when he saw the police he took a sledge hammer and he smashed it. As soon as he smashed it, the quaking stopped. Apparently he didn’t want anyone to get a hold of it.

He would have parties and he would send hundreds of thousands of volts through his hand and light up stuff. He liked being the life of the party and doing fantastic stuff with electricity. He was a character like we haven’t seen on the earth since he died.

I’m going to read to you several interesting things that go contrary to what a lot of people think.

One of my theories is this. If you want to find the truth, find what everybody is thinking then look in the opposite direction. There you will often find the real truth. It’s not ironclad, it’s not black and white for sometimes what everybody is thinking is actually true. But often times, especially when their beliefs are not documented by science — that’s when I really look at what they believe and then look in the opposite direction.

That’s why I looked at nuclear energy, because everybody was saying nuclear energy was bad. I decided to look into it and find the true facts. I found out that right here in Idaho they developed these breeder reactors and the government shut down he research because people were afraid.  But these breeder reactors can take the waste of Yucca Mountain and eliminate all the waste and create enough energy to power us for a thousand years. Does it make sense to bury that energy source that could power us for a thousand years? It didn’t make sense to me once I looked into it. That was the opposite direction that everyone else was looking and I found this interesting piece of information.

I’m going to read you several things then we’re going to talk about them later on. What are the changes that are going to happen on the Earth? Is the Earth going to warm up because of global warming and the big greenhouse effect where all the glaciers will melt? Or are we going to have an ice age? 20 or 30 years ago everyone was predicting global cooling. Now they’ve switched to global warming. They can’t make up their minds. Which one is it going to be? Both sides have interesting statistics. Here are some interesting facts.

Mars is experiencing global warming. Mars is experiencing global warming? There are no humans there so why is it warming up on Mars? The fact is that we go through cycles of warming and cooling and warming and cooling.

Many are surprised to learn that there are many glaciers that are actually growing in size. If we go by number it seems small at around 15%, but if we measure by volume the figure is said to be as high as 90%. This is because some of the growing ones are huge and in Antarctica.

Unfortunately, we only hear of statistics designed to alarm us. The media focusses only on the shrinking glaciers. From listening to them you would not think a growing glacier even exists.

And as far as sea level rise goes there are parts of the oceans where they are actually standing still or getting lower but on the average satellite figures tell us the rise is just over three millimeters a year, which is about the thickness of two pennies.

Alarmists tell us that New York City may soon be underwater, but for that to happen the sea level would have to rise 400 feet to cover the land (not the buildings) and at a little over three millimeters rise per year that would take about 40,000 years to happen.

Unless there are some great earth changes there is not a lot to worry about in our lifetimes concerning the flooding of our coastlines.

Ninety percent of the world’s glacier mass is in Antarctica. Most of this is over land and most places where they’re over land they are growing. Where they are shrinking is where the glacier stretches out over the ocean. Now why are the glaciers that are floating over the oceans shrinking, whereas those over land are growing? They are shrinking because the water in some areas of the ocean is getting warmer. We hear about global warming but what is actually getting warmer? The upper atmosphere is actually getting cooler. The total atmosphere including the upper is getting very slightly warmer over the last 100 years. But when they figure the earth warming they are also figuring the temperature of the water. The main thing that is melting glaciers is pockets of warm water. What’s causing the water to get warmer? They say CO2 but CO2 mainly affects the atmospheric temperature. The atmosphere warming up or cooling has very little effect upon the ocean in the short term. What warms the ocean? This is the key thing to what creates the earth changes.

Audience: “Is it volcanic activity?”

JJ: Right. Under water volcanic activity. There is a cycle and as we know the core of the earth is as hot as the sun. The core of the earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling like a heartbeat. There are a number of different cycles. There are cycles of approximately 12000 years. Some say it is 11500 that the core of the earth heats up and then cools. When it heats up there is more volcanic activity under the ocean.

It is interesting that the rise of ocean temperatures vary wildly throughout the world. For instance the Arctic oceans in the north are warming three or four times faster than those of Antarctica in the South.. This is because there are other factors besides warming air at play.

When the volcanic activity shoots forth heat into the oceans, what does that do to the oceans? Warms them up. Some scientists that are studying this are getting nervous because when the oceans warm up that has a tremendous affect on the planet. Does anybody know what it does?

Audience: “El Nino.”

JJ: Yes, El Nino. It’s caused by the ocean warming up but there is a danger much higher than that.

Audience: Inaudible.

JJ: What happens when the oceans warm up is that you have more water coming into the atmosphere. When we have more water coming into the atmosphere, we’re going to have more rains and snows. Eventually, when we have more snow in the north we have more heat from the sun reflected into space, so instead of a global warming we have a global cooling effect. Then it turns out instead of having more and more rain we have more and more snow and this produces what they call an ice age. The last time the oceans warmed up it produced pretty much all the glaciers we have today. It produced more moisture on the earth and the moisture descended and eventually became the glaciers. The water level of the oceans actually sank rather than rose. Everyone is worried about it rising but the geologists who are studying this underwater volcanic activity are worried about the oceans going down rather than rising.

Audience: “There was a 300 foot difference in the sea level at the last ice age.”

JJ: Right. So, the last ice age of significance was approximately 11,500 years ago and the cycles of the ice ages are approximately 11,500 years. So we’re approaching this time again. This is what they say would happen if we entered an ice age. We’d have a couple years of real unusual weather with a lot of hurricanes, snow and excessive moisture. Remember all the excessive moisture we had in the east this last winter? We had it pretty good around here but some areas didn’t.

Audience: “At the end of April we went up to Washington and there was 6 inches of snow on the ground and all the spring flowers were frozen.”

JJ: Some of the scientists studying this are a little nervous by these past few winters we’ve had with the excessive moisture. I personally don’t believe we’re quite there yet. Some scientists say it could be imminent or it could be a couple hundred years off. If the cycle is accurate it won’t be too long.

Who knows. Maybe the greenhouse effect from the added CO2 (carbon dioxide) will save us from an ice age.

Larry: “I read that they studied the small transition period into the ice age and that weather then was not just bad weather but it was extraordinarily violent weather.”

JJ: During the last ice age what happened is that glaciers formed in the north and came clear down to this area where we are now. If we were living during the last ice age we could look out our windows and see the end of the glaciers right here in Sun Valley Idaho. They covered all of Canada. It covered all of England clear down to France. Ice completely covered all of these areas. The last ice age eliminated the mammoths. Matter of fact, they found mammoths with grass still in their mouths – they were frozen very quickly by something.

Audience: “Some say we need the ice age, that we’ve been farming long enough and that this interglacial period has taken all these minerals and trace elements out of the soil in lots of places and that’s what it needs, to be covered with ice, to rest, to grind up these rocks and minerals.”

JJ: That’s an interesting thought. There is this guy named Joel Wallach that studied people who lived to be over a hundred years old. You’ve probably heard stories about them. He visited and studied these people who lived an extra long life span and he only found one thing they had in common. Some of them ate bacon and eggs and lots of lard and grease and butter. He looked for a common thread. There was only one common thread. They all had a lot of minerals in their soil. Those who were healthiest obtained the irrigation water from melting glaciers. These glaciers have all kinds of minerals in them, so you might have something there, Larry. Maybe the ice age is nature’s way of creating glaciers to replenish the minerals in the soil. Ninety percent of the minerals in the United States as well as most of Europe are depleted. Most of the world has ninety percent of the trace minerals gone from the soil.

I like Australian wine and I think I like the taste better because in Australia they only have 50% of their minerals gone. Ninety percent of ours are gone. Australia has the most trace minerals of any of the nations. Chile still has a few good minerals left and their wine tastes pretty good too. There is something about these trace minerals and wine that gives it extra good flavor. That’s my theory on that anyway.

So, that’s a good point. I believe you have a point that the ice age may be a way of replenishing. One of the people we did a reading with, I think it could of been Sharón, said this next turbulence will not be as bad as the last. It’s possible because, for one thing, the earth as a body is cooling. The inner core will slowly cool over a period of millions of years so it’s quite possible the next ice age won’t be as bad as the last one. Let’s hope so.

Audience: “Global warming could be a good thing if we could find ways to prevent the ice age from happening and find ways to re-mineralize.”

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 15

Gathering 2005 Sun Valley, Part 15
Advances in Energy

Robin: “This just came into my mind. You were talking about how our thoughts have an effect on the weather. Two or three years ago when we traveled to Nauvoo for the gathering and Rick traveled with us, he taught my kids and me how to concentrate on clouds in the sky and make them disappear. I thought, “Oh, that can’t be done. It’s silly.” But you can. If you pick out a little cloud, you probably don’t want to start with a big cumulus, pick a smaller wispy cloud at first and concentrate on it thinking, “Disappear, go away, disappear.” As you watch and concentrate that water vapor disappears.”

JJ: Is that true Larry? I know Larry can be more of a skeptic.

Larry: “Well, my kids seemed to believe that it happened and they’re fairly skeptical. I was probably sleeping or doing something else.”

Robin: “He was driving. As we traveled in the car we’d each pick one out, ‘I’m going to do that one over there.’”

JJ: I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard a lot of people say they can do that sort of thing. This is the way it is with creation. Creation begins in the mental, in the area of thought and comes down into the area of desire then materializes in the physical. One of the things we need to overcome is the wrong interpretation of the Book of Revelation.

Audience: “It just started raining outside.”

JJ: Okay. Who has been thinking about water? (laughter) I’ve been thinking I really want water because I’ve been thirsty up here. Anybody else thirstier than usual here? I don’t know what it is. Must be the dry atmosphere.

So, we could move fairly peacefully into the next age. Right now we’re on the cusp even though I believe the transition period happened in 1945. The total transition period is a period of a couple hundred years. It takes a couple hundred years to really move to a new age because we have to let go of the old Piscean energies. The Piscean energies are still strong and holding on. All the fundamentalist churches are controlled by the Piscean energies. A lot of the political ways of thinking and anything connected with anti-technology is Piscean. Aquarius governs technology because it’s an air sign, which governs mind, thought, space, air flight, space flight and technology. So we’re going to see tremendous technology develop. It’s interesting to see who is anti-technology. It isn’t just fundamentalist Christians but a lot of fundamentalist new-agers are also anti-technology. Technology can be dangerous but it’s something we need to deal with.

We have to face these things and move into the future with enough peace and goodwill to be able to develop technology yet not kill ourselves with it. If we had a full-fledged atomic war we could end up going back to the old Aquarian age of thousands of years ago rather than the new Aquarian age.

Audience: Indistinct.

JJ: Yes, some of the environmentalists are Piscean because a lot of them want to live like the Amish and this type of desire is more Piscean than Aquarian. Now the interesting thing here is that we’re not only entering into the Aquarian Age here which is said to be a 2160-year cycle, we’re not only moving one out of twelve but there is a greater zodiac and there are twelve greater signs. In each one of these greater signs there are twelve sub-signs. The greater signs take in a longer period of 25,920 years for each sign, or over 300,000 years for the complete cycle of the greater twelve.. Now we are moving into two Aquarian ages at one time. We’re moving into the lesser Aquarian cycle of 2160 years but then we are also moving into a greater cycle of Aquarius of over 25,000 years. So we are moving into a double Aquarius and this happens very rarely. It means we are going into an area that’s not only influenced by Aquarius but doubly influenced. It’s going to make this age a tremendous age of change. because Aquarius is an air sign the plane of the mind is going to be very highly developed and emphasized.

In the Age of Pisces, which is governed by water, emotion and feeling were very much emphasized. All the crusades were fought because of that passion they had. They fought for the blood of Jesus because of their passion and they fought for their beliefs because of their passion. But now we are moving into a hopefully more peaceful period that is governed by higher mind. That doesn’t mean the lower emotions will be dropped. We’ll use the good emotional energies and take them with us. We’ll make use of the best of what we learned in Pisces and take it with us as we develop the mind to the highest extent possible.

Audience: “Have you heard the saying of Saint Germain that this planet is one of the few that has water and that you can only process emotions with water so a lot of people come here to learn that.”

JJ: Really. I hadn’t heard that before but I’m sure there is some truth behind that. It’s interesting that this earth is covered by three quarters water and we are such strong emotional beings on this planet. But the lesson of Aquarius will be to learn to walk on water so to speak. The symbolism of the Christ walking on water was the mastery of the emotions, to not let the emotions control you but you control them by learning to master them.

Audience: “Technology is creative so if we’re going to have this massive amount of technology isn’t that cool that a lot of people will be working together to create? I get a sense there is some negative out there but it doesn’t have to be negative. It’s a step forward.”

JJ: Yeah. A lot of people are afraid of technology. It’s not just fundamentalists or new-agers, it’s a cross section of a little bit of everybody. Some very conservative people want to go out in the woods and have five acres and store food and prepare for whatever comes. They don’t want technology. They just want an ax, a plow and a horse.

Audience: “But can’t technology open up some doors? Like ‘Surprise! I never thought about that! Awesome.’”

JJ: That’s true. On the other hand, there are new-agers who want to go out and get five acres too. They have a little different attitude. They want vegetables but no meat but they essentially want to do the same thing as the survivalists. Guys in Waco and some of these places –a lot of them have a similar type of idea but on two sides of the belief system.

Technology is interesting to contemplate. We’re worried about the technology that brought us oil because we’re throwing CO2 in the atmosphere yet that technology that brought us oil is taking us to greater technology that will develop other types of fuels that will be plentiful and non-polluting and we won’t be dependent on the Middle East to get it. The fact that we discovered oil in the Middle East is a two-edged sword. It allowed the people who live there to develop more but on the other hand they’ve also become a danger to us. Hopefully they can develop enough for their evolution, then we can leave them alone when we get independent sources of power.

So, technology is sort of built with stepping stones. Some of these stepping stones may make us nervous in the process but as we move up we eventually get on stepping stones that bring us freedom. There are a number of different energy sources that could bring us total freedom from depending on oil. Oil is a tremendous cause of friction but like Sharón says, if we weren’t fighting over oil we’d probably be fighting over something else. But if we weren’t fighting over oil I don’t think we’d fight as badly over the next thing.

Audience: inaudible question on developing sources.

JJ: There are several things we could develop. It’s possible to develop safe nuclear energy. We have the technology to create breeder reactors that could take the waste, that is supposed to be stored in Yucca Mountain, and that could power the United States for a thousand years. We could eliminate all that waste and provide power to the United States for a thousand years with the new generation of breeder reactors but a lot of people are against breeder reactors because it can produce plutonium and atomic bombs are made from that. But we can already produce plutonium and make atomic bombs anyway so really the danger is not increased.

Another way is hydrogen power. The only trouble with hydrogen power is to produce 1 unit of hydrogen power it takes about 1.2 units of some other energy source. If we have to burn 1.2 units of coal to produce 1 unit of hydrogen then we’re going backwards rather than forwards.

If we were to produce breeder reactors that consume waste rather than to create waste….

Audience: Inaudible.

JJ: Right. If we had enough nuclear we could make hydrogen like crazy and be non-polluting. France, for instance, uses nuclear energy for 80% of their power. They aren’t spooked about it the way we are here. Matter of fact, they’ve improved their nuclear plants a lot because they’ve continued working on the technology. It’s improved enough that people aren’t afraid to live next door to a plant in France. France had to develop nuclear because right after the oil shortage of 1978 they thought, “Man, the Middle East is going to blow up in our face and we have no oil in France. We’ve got to do something.” So, they looked into building safer nuclear plants and the nuclear plants they have today are much safer than those of the past.

When they built the first railroad bridges there were quite a few accidents and enough people were killed and enough trains destroyed by crossing those early railroad bridges that a lot of people thought them so dangerous that railroads should be done away with completely because they can not build a safe one.

There was a lot of talk back then about not having railroads at all because a safe bridge could not be built. It was impossible. Well, the engineers got together and thought about how to build a safe bridge and it got to the point where the bridges hardly ever collapse. That isn’t a worry anymore. It’s a little like nuclear energy. When we built our first nuclear reactors for creating electricity they weren’t nearly as safe as we can build them now and they aren’t nearly as safe as they would be in say, 50 years from now.

Imagine if we could take the waste from Yucca Mountain and live on that for a thousand years and not build weapons out of it. A lot of people think anti-nuclear means anti-nuclear everything. We really don’t want nuclear war. That’s the main thing we don’t want. We don’t want nuclear pollution. If we can do away with nuclear pollution and nuclear war and just use nuclear energy for safe means it’s not nearly the problem we’ve had in the past.

Audience: “What about solar energy?”

JJ: The trouble with solar energy is that it will take the area of about three states to power the United States. You’d have to completely cover them.

Audience: “What about just for residences to cut back on other sources?”

JJ: Solar energy is clean except to construct the solar panels creates a certain amount of pollution. To do that you get more pollution than you have from nuclear. You have to have the solar panels and they need to be replaced and serviced and it takes quite a bit of iron and materials and it creates pollution to make the heat to create these things. People don’t take that into account.

You’d have to take about three average sized states and cover them entirely in panels to give us enough power to power the United States. People think we can improve on it but even if we got all our energy from the sun there is just not enough there. It’s a good supplement but it’s expensive at thus time though I’m sure there will be improvements in the future..

Audience: “What about the tides?”

JJ: The tides are a possibility because there is unlimited power there. They tried several experiments. The last experiment they had was completely destroyed by the tide itself, by a big wave. They sunk a bunch of money into development, then a big wave came along and destroyed the whole experiment.

I believe that could be a source and the tides could be a source of power that could even replace nuclear. It would be nice if we didn’t have to use nuclear because people are afraid of it. And I hope I didn’t offend that lady that just left because I think she was an anti-nuclear person.

We need to look at everything with new eyes as we’re looking at the future. One time when Wayne had a vision of the future a power source came to him that I thought was really interesting. He saw that they were putting generators down under the ocean. The ocean has different temperatures at different levels. By using the variance in temperature they were able to create a turbine from the different temperatures of the various depths of the ocean. Do you remember that Wayne? Did you ever read any research on it?

Wayne: “Not that I recall.”

Audience: Indistinct — research paper.

JJ: So that’s a viable source. Another source that people say we can have is wind. Wind is very unreliable because unlike coal or nuclear or most other things where you get a consistent energy, wind stops. The wind stops and it throws a kink in everything. If it were supplemental it would be fine but if we were relying on it we would maybe have our electricity go out and come back on. Plus it takes a tremendous surface area of the Earth to give us the wind power. I myself, when I go through these big windmill areas think I’d hate to see half my state covered in them. That’s a source of eye pollution in my mind.

They want to put a big windmill farm in Robert Kennedy Jr’s backyard area and even he is against it. And he’s a big environmentalist. But when they want to put one near him, he’s actually suing to keep them away from his backyard. The thing is it’s a little impracticable to think about producing mass windmills because too many people would complain of the eye pollution. If we had a few here and there we wouldn’t get many complaints but if we built enough to really become a sustainable force a lot of people would say, “Hey we want something else. We want our trees and forests to look like trees and forests. We don’t want windmills everywhere.”

Audience: “During World War 2 the Germans developed technology to get fuel, diesel fuel, gasoline from coal and I read just recently that they aren’t doing that from coal but they are building plants in the Mideast with oil plants to build much cleaner burning diesel. It’s technology the Germans developed during World War 2.”

JJ: The Germans were short of energy so they had to improvise and came up with some pretty good ideas for that time. When the human mind is forced to come up with solutions great advances forward often occur.

There’s nothing I’m afraid of like scared people. —Robert Frost
