The Word of Light
Question: In the KJV the Gospel of John reads: “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.” John 1:10 (KJV)
What is the chance that “and the world was made by him” is a redaction added by later scribes?
JJ: The chances are very good. There is not an original copy of any of the gospels. The earliest we have is thought to be about a twelfth copy. As one scribe would make his copy, he sometimes could not resist making notes or changing a few words to make things “clearer.”
Alterations are most likely to occur at the beginning or end of a text and since this verse is at the beginning alterations are entirely possible.
The verse you quoted logically seems to have taken a right angle turn from that which precedes it. Let us take a closer look. Here are the first 14 verses from the King James:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1-14
If I were to rewrite it intuitively here is how it would be worded:
King James Version:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
Intuitive Version:
In the beginning was God and God breathed forth causing vibration which manifested Word and Word was with God and Word was God in manifestation.
King James Version:
The same was in the beginning with God. John 1:2
Intuitive Version:
The Word of manifestation was eternally linked to God from the beginning.
King James Version:
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3
Intuitive Version:
All form manifested from the originating Word and without the vibration of the Word there was not anything made that was made.
King James Version:
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:4
Intuitive Version:
The Word is the foundation of Life and this Life is the Light of men.
King James Version:
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:5
Intuitive Version:
And this Light shines even where it is not perceived and those without perception are not aware of the Word, which manifests Light that surrounds them.
King James Version:
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. John 1:6
Intuitive Version:
No change.
King James Version:
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. Verses 7-8
Intuitive Version:
He came to bear witness to the light that men do not see, that all men might believe in something higher than physical perception. John did not fully comprehend the higher light but sensed it and bore witness to it.
King James Version:
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. John 1:9
Intuitive Version:
The originating light from the vibrating Word is within every person who comes into the world.
King James Version:
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. John 1:10
Intuitive Version:
The Light from the Word is in all the world for it made the world, yet those in the world do not perceive nor understand the Light which is their Source.
King James Version:
He came unto his own, and his own received him not. John 1:11
Intuitive Version:
He who comprehends the Light came unto his own and his own received him not for they did not perceive the Light.
King James Version:
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12
Intuitive Version:
But as many as received his word perceived the light within the Word and obtained the power to realize they are creations of the Word, or sons of God. This promise is to those who see the name of the messenger of Light as well as the Light and Word as one with themselves.
King James Version:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:13
Intuitive Version:
Being born into the light is not like being born into the flesh. This birth comes from perceiving universal light and it is the divine will that all eventually see this.
King James Version:
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
Intuitive Version:
And the Word manifested clearly in one who was flesh and dwelt among us. We beheld the glory of the Light in Jesus who was the first to manifest the fullness of the glory of God with abundant and satisfying truth.
All verses–Intuitive Version only:
In the beginning was God and God breathed forth causing vibration which manifested Word and Word was with God and Word was God in manifestation.
The Word of manifestation was eternally linked to God from the beginning.

Question: Can you expand on your comments about the messenger you wrote about from Revelation Chapter 20?
In the past we have had leaders, such as Hitler and Napoleon, direct the emotions in a negative way and others such as Tony Robbins and Zig Ziglar in a positive way.
But in both cases the motivator has dangled a carrot on a stick to entice the person toward individual benefit. What the future messenger will do is different. He will direct the emotional energy of the masses toward the general ideal of universal brotherhood.
The closest any world leader has come to such motivation was John F. Kennedy. He foreshadowed such leadership when he made his famous statement “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Afterwards he followed this up with the Peace Corps and asked his fellow citizens to volunteer to assist others in a spirit of brotherhood. Many felt impressed to help their country and others abroad because of his inspiring method of directing emotional energy.
The thing to keep in mind is that emotional energy is neutral and is neither good nor bad. Unless it is directed with intelligence it becomes like a storm out of control and is always destructive. In most cases of our history emotion has caused many more problems than it has solved, but this will not always be the case.
When Christ comes he will direct the emotion of the willing toward spiritual love and laying the foundation of universal brotherhood.
The next messenger will use the energy of will-power-purpose to solidify brotherhood as well as focus humanity on higher purpose. This is something of which we have only seen a slight foreshadowing.
I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars. Og Mandino (1923 – 1996)
