Madam Blavatsky

Good article. (LINK) The reader may find it of interest that DK acknowledged that Blavatsky fabricated most of the Mahatma letters. She still had some of the charlatan in her left over from the life as Count Cagliostro. I have read several accounts of her life and there was definitely some supernatural events involved with her but I think she felt that she had to add some magical tricks now and then to keep the work growing. Unfortunately, this causes many impartial observers and critics to discount all that she did.

Destroying the Soul

I finally have a moment to respond to Ken who wrote:

First, let me remind you about the “firstfruits” of the harvest. Yahweh Elohim is following a very specific plan, in which a select few are harvested FIRST, and that harvest is small, only the Elect. The rest of mankind will be harvested and gathered according to the timetable set forth by The Father, and that harvest will bring forth ALL who are Children of Elohim, to Eternal Life. Then on the other hand, those who have proven they are children of Satan, they will be likened to Judas, sons of perdition/destruction (John 17:12), and they will be LOST. If the percentage holds true as patterned by Judas, then about 1/12th of mankind will have their bodies and souls DESTROYED by the One who is able to destroy in the Gehenna, and He should be feared:

JJ

I have to admit that this is not a typical fundamentalist interpretation of salvation percentages, but you definitely have a fundamentalist approach to seeing the scriptures as being free of error and needing a literal interpretation in most cases. I need to ask you some questions to clarify your belief. You say that you believe 11 out of 12 people will obtain eternal life.

So, do you believe that 11 out of 12 people who lived in the days of Jesus are now saved and enjoying heavenly bliss? If not when will this happen and how? Will the 11 out of 12 receive the same reward as you?

As evidence that we can be destroyed into oblivion you cite several scriptures, the most potent of which is:

Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in the Gehenna. Mt 10:28

So, does this mean we are in danger of being completely annihilated by our loving Father/Mother God?

First let us look at a couple other scriptures. Here is the basic idea repeated by Luke:

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:5-7

So, here we are told that none of us are forgotten before God, for we are worth many sparrows. This would include the worst of us. And what parent is there among us that would give up on his child, even when he makes a grievous error? Jesus said that God is an even more loving parent than we are.

This is evidenced by this scripture:

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. I Tim 2:3-4

So, then, it is the will of God that all be saved and if one believes that God has power to fulfill that which he wills then one must conclude that ALL will be saved and NONE will be annihilated.

Ken gives Judas as an example of one who will be destroyed, but of him it was written:

The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Matt 26:24

Now if Judas did not exist before birth and is annihilated after death, then how could it be that it would have been good for him to not have been born? How can non existence after death be worse than non existence before birth???

Does not compute.

It is true that with a few failed entities will suffer destruction of, not only the physical but the other bodies used by the soul and they will return to the monad for recycling to get another chance in another system. Eventually, all will be saved, just as the scripture says,

Our initial; essence, the monad, is a part of God. To completely destroy us would mean that God is destroying himself and a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.

God’s kingdom does stand and he nurtures all the lives that are a part of his eternal being.

Diet of World’s Oldest Person

Susannah Mushatt Jones, the world’s oldest documented person at 116 puts her longevity down to eating bacon and eggs every morning for over a century.

A sign on her kitchen wall reads “Bacon makes everything better”.

More on Soul

Ken:

please answer this question. Do you believe the following statement:

LDS Apostle B. H. Roberts wrote, “Saddening as the thought may seem, the Church founded by the labors of Jesus and His Apostles was destroyed from the earth”

JJ

Do not agree. The church was not destroyed but hidden in the wilderness.

Rev 12:6 And the woman (the church) fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Roberts quote continued:

the Gospel was perverted; its ordinances were changed; its laws were transgressed;

JJ

Pretty much agree. Some Christian sects were much worse than others at altering things according to their desires.

Roberts:

its covenant was, on the part of man, broken;

JJ

Not sure which covenant he was talking about.

Roberts:

and the world was left to flounder in the darkness of a long period of apostasy from God… a universal apostasy from the Christian doctrine and the Christian Church took place”

JJ

Most of the world has been floundering in darkness, even when master teachers such as Jesus were here, but there have always been pockets of light upon the earth.

I asked:

Do you believe that at death we continue existence in a spirit world or do you think like the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah Witnesses that the soul sleeps at death and then will be brought back to life at the judgment to be either annihilated or given eternal life? If you do not think like them then how is your belief different?

Ken:

Yes, there are differences. For the unbelieving, at death, they know nothing, and they gain nothing, but for the righteous at death, that when they depart this fleshly life, they do have a gain in being WITH Messiah, and when He returns, He will bring them with Him.

JJ

Don’t see much difference here. Those churches think that the righteous will not seem to spend any time sleeping but will seem to instantly be with Jesus.

So, where are the faithful apostles of Jesus? Are they sleeping or are they alive with Jesus? Are they with him in physical bodies or spiritual ones?

I asked::

How are the 11 out of 12 who are not saved yet going to obtain salvation on your eighth day? Is there any hope for Hitler?

Ken

Salvation is a matter of being saved FROM being a sinner, and yes, there is hope for Hitler on the 8th Great Day.

JJ

So, I take it that you believe, like the Jehovah Witnesses, that Hitler is in an unconscious sleep and will be reconstituted on your eighth day. When the pieces of him are put back together then what will he have to do to be saved? Just say, “I believe!” or something more?

6 million Jews may have a problem singing praises side by side with him.

JJ

Is there any book, teacher or spiritual writing available that represents your beliefs outside of the Bible?

Ken

No.

JJ

I would say that you have a problem then if you cannot find any teaching that is in harmony with you even if you search all of recoded history for thousands of years. After all the Bible is only one book containing only a few fragmented truths here and there and not presented with much clarity.

God is really falling down on the job if you and your brother are the only ones on the planet who are a source of the truth. Where is your Paul, your Moses, your Elijah, or even your Allan Cronshaw to help you get the message out?

Ken:

I have told you, the One True Church or Assembly was completely destroyed, not one Living Stone was left upon another, the MOON was turned to BLOOD as fierce wolves attacked, and DID NOT SPARE the Flock. Traditional/fundamental christianity is what rose up in the place of the One True Church, and you want to compare me to them? That really surprises me.

JJ

Your beliefs may be different, as hundreds of fundamentalists have different interpretations, but you are like them in that you accept the Bible as the only book you can trust and see it as without error. That is a fundamentalist approach. Herbert W. Armstrong also took a fundamentalist approach and came to different conclusions than others. Why would anyone think you are more correct in your interpretations than he was? He was at least believable enough to get a large following.

Ken:

Concerning 11 out of 12 who lived at the time of Yeshua? Yeshua stated that His generation would not fair too well in the judgment. So their percentages may not be as good as those who were never exposed to LIGHT, as His generation was. You see, for judgment to be true and fair, those being judged must FIRST be exposed to the Light, and for many, that will not happen until the 8th Great Day. But those who have been exposed to the Light, and reject it, will not fair well in the regeneration.

JJ

It sounds like in this generation just you, your brother and maybe a couple close associates are guaranteed salvation and the only hope for the rest is the vague eighth day of reconstitution you speak of, of which almost nothing is revealed.

How will the unwashed masses be saved on the eighth day and will they receive the same reward as you, who (as you believe) see and obey the light now?

Ken:

Finally, your take on 1 Tim 2:3-4 is misunderstood on your part. Paul is not saying “God’s” WILL is that all be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. The Greek word used for “will” is G2309, and Paul uses it here also:

2Cor 12:6 For though I would desire (G2309) to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but [now] I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me [to be], or [that] he heareth of me.

JJ

It is amazing that you hold the Bible in esteem above all other books but do not accept what it says. Let me repeat the scripture where you say it doesn’t say it is God’s will that all be saved:

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. I Tim 2:3-4

The words “will have” comes from Strongs G2309 (or the Greek THELŌ) as you say, but the first meaning given by Strongs is “to determine” and the first given by the Blue Letter Bible is “to will, have in mind, intend.”

The Concordant Version which gives us the most accurate literal translations reads thus:

“Who wills that all mankind be saved and come to a realization of the truth.”

Here is a couple other scriptures where it is used:

And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, (THELŌ) thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; (THELŌ) be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Mat 8:2-3

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, (THELŌ) but as thou wilt ((THELŌ, implied). Mat 26:39

The meaning of THELŌ can vary a bit with the context. In addition “to will, have in mind, intend” it can also mean to desire as you say, but there is not a lot of difference between one having power to fulfill desire or will. If God desires a thing then he also wills it and can make it happen. If you had the power and desired salvation for your child would you not make sure he achieved it?

Ken

Elohim can “desire” that all men be saved and that they come to a knowledge of the Truth, but does that mean that all men WOULD come to a knowledge of the Truth, and be saved?

JJ

So, then, you are saying that God has no power to fulfill his desire or will. That doesn’t sound like your normal thinking.

Ken:

Think along the lines of a loving father desiring his children to be saved from the evils of life and coming to know the right things to do. Does it mean that ALL of his children will do this just because he desires it?

JJ

But God has power to fulfill his will and has all eternity to do it. A child will always make the right choice given enough time and encouragement. It may take over 1000 lifetimes but we all will eventually get things right.

One reason you do not like the obvious interpretation of this scripture is because we would need reincarnation for it to be true.

Ken:

Your explanation of Judas having been better off to have never been born doesn’t make much sense, in light of 2 Pet 2:20-22, and in light of “the soul who sins shall die.”

JJ

There is nothing in that verse that contradicts anything I have said. If Judas did not exist before birth then why would it be worse for him to not exist after God destroys him into non existence??? You have not explained why non existence after death is worse than non existence before birth. Unfortunately, you cannot explain this under your belief system whereas it makes perfect sense using my teachings.

Ken:

Consider that Elohim does not DESIRE the death of anyone?

JJ

And where do you get this idea? God created this world and designed it to have life and death so it could be a great schoolhouse of learning for us. You seem to think that poor old God is some powerless victim with his hands tied.

Ken

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

JJ

The scripture says that God breathed into Adam the breath of life and he became a living soul. When he quits breathing the soul, as defined by the Old Testament, dies. This happens to all of us regular mortals.

If we could live without error (sin) then we could defeat the last enemy, death, and our human souls could live as long as we want.

At the death of the human soul the person is not extinguished but continues life on other planes of existence.

I would say that you are the one who needs to reevaluate your thinking here as it runs contrary to scripture, reason and common sense.

The Last Enemy

Jody asks about this scripture:

Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother (Lazarus) shall rise again.

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. John 11:23-26

He asks: “Why does it sound like he’s repeating himself?”

JJ

Actually, he is not for he is talking about belief in two different situations.

(1) A belief in Christ in a conscious state after death. This was the situation with Lazarus. He had been separated from his body for over three days, or dead in the normal sense, and in this spiritual state had a conscious belief that Christ had power over death.

So here Jesus was telling Martha that though Lazarus is dead he will be brought to life because he was in a believing state on the other side.

(2) A belief in Christ while yet living. He stated that this entails an acceptance of his words of life into our being. If we properly do this and live by them as he did then death can have no power over us as it had no power over him. At this point the last enemy is destroyed.

True death is more than a separation from the body, but a separation from the soul and spirit. The fact that we die physically against our will is a sign that we are subject to a degree of spiritual death. This spiritual death is overcome by the acceptance and incorporation of the “words of life” from both the inner and outer Christ. Since we do not have all the words of the outer Christ, the inner must be sought. When one truly hears, believes and assimilates the Word (words of Christ) which Is God then all things become possible.

This scripture says it well:

“Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.” II Nephi 32:3

Here the reference is to the inner Christ which is linked to the outer.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.” John 8:51

Jody also asks:

If the soul is the reflection of the higher self would that “by your teachings” mean that the male energies are negative at the higher self and the female energies are positive at the higher self if you we are a reflection.

JJ

The relation of male to female is relative to the relationship. Male is always the positive/sending pole and female is always the negative/receiving one.

Because we receive from the Higher Self and are not polarized as sending to it then we are female to it whether we are in a male or female body. On the other hand, the Higher Self receives from the Monad so it is female in relation to that and the Monad would be in the male situation.

If you are in a male body and are taught by another male then in this relationship you are in the female polarity and the teacher in the male.

If one in a female body is teaching a class of mixed genders then she is male to the students and all students are female to her.

Our bodies are just one manifestation of male/female energy. The male body sends the seed and the female receives it. Understanding the teachings of the inner Christ on balancing these energies within us is one of the keys to overcoming death as mentioned previously.

The Pluto Mission

After waiting all my life we finally have a picture of Pluto with some details. The great part is when the flyby happens next Tuesday (July 14) we will get 500 times the details as we have now. This nine year trip to Pluto is all for getting one day’s worth of good photos and data since the spacecraft is going too fast to orbit the planet.

Here is the latest photo and article.

We will have to wait longer than planned to find out what that bright spot is on Ceres as they had a glitch they had to fix in the software. It looks like they are good to go and we should have some better photos in a few weeks.

Recognizing Initiates

Jody asks:

How does one know what initiation one is on?

JJ

We’ve covered this somewhat in the past, but it is always a subject of interest when the topic is brought up.

DK talks about ceremonies of recognition of the various initiations so a casual reader may assume that each initiate knows where he is because of some supernatural occurrence. This is normally not so obvious as these recognitions often take place between lives or while the person is in the sleeping state.

It is important to understand that a degree of initiation is merely the recognition of an achievement of mastery over certain areas of life and experience. If a person achieves mastery in a certain life and receives the ceremony in between lives, then he was an initiate in that life before he received the acknowledgment. In the true sense, once become an initiate when he achieves the inner power of control.

The journey to mastery and full entrance into the Kingdom of God consists of preparation and five initiations, or steps that assume control and remove limitations for the seeker.

In the preparatory step the seeker is considered an aspirant. The aspirant is one who is no longer satisfied receiving all his thinking and approval from the beast and starts thinking on his own. He begins to use his own mind and heart as he seeks for answers.

The first degree initiate is one who has achieved mastery over physical desires and can resist the pull of matter and materialism.

The churches prepare seekers for this mastery by dictating to them rules about sex and what they should eat and drink and where they should donate money. Right or wrong the rules help the seeker to develop self discipline which is essential to achieve the first major step.

Here are signs that the seeker has achieved the first degree.

  1. The Appetites

When under the belief that a certain diet or restriction was necessary he or she is able to adhere to it without deviation. No one can talk him into breaking rules that he has accepted into his life.

For instance, if the seeker was in a belief system where being a vegetarian was considered essential then he demonstrated power to be a strict vegetarian so long as he accepted that belief.

If he was a Mormon then he demonstrated power to completely abstain from smoking, alcohol, tea and coffee while he accepted that system.

If he sees he needs to go on a certain diet for his health then he has complete power to go on that diet and adhere to it to his satisfaction.

If he decides to go on fast from food or water then he will be able to fast as planned for the predetermined period. A ten day fast without food will be no problem for him as long as some physical deficiency does not interfere.

  1. Sex

If the seeker accepts a certain belief system concerning sex then he is able to adhere to it. If he believes sex outside of marriage or adultery is wrong then he simply will not do it. He will be able to resist the temptation.

The seeker looks at sex, decides which activity is correct and which is not, and then has the power to be true to that belief.

  1. Money

The first degree initiate has power to channel his money and resources to what he sees as his highest good. This “highest good” goes beyond service to self. If he has more than he needs for his essentials he seeks to do something with his resources that will benefit others.

He thus seeks to initiate good causes on the physical plane.

Overall first degree initiates and higher are very conscientious about their health, are faithful to their sexual beliefs and are willing to share in both poverty and wealth.

Now one may look at certain initiates and wonder how these guidelines apply to them.

For instance, Winston Churchill was definitely an initiate, but he was overweight, drank quite a bit of alcohol and smoked cigars. How did he demonstrate control?

Answer: All his eating and drinking was accepted by his belief system. He controlled his appetites to the extent he deemed necessary to have good health and lived to the age of 90 when the average lifespan for his generation was below 65.

If one studies his history he sees that Churchill was sable to put his appetites under control when it was necessary.

So how about JFK and other apparent initiates who seemed to have no control over their sex lives?

It is true that some initiates get caught up in deviating from sexual norms. If the person is a first degree initiate then the source of the problem will be illusion rather than lack of control. The pull of sex is powerful and many first and second degree initiates get caught up in a belief system that gives them internal permission to go outside the normal standards.

In the case of JFK – he was taught about sex by his father and accepted his father’s philosophy on relationships above that of the church and thus was caught up in an illusion on this matter. There were times in his life where he demonstrated great self control over he physical side of life.

Overall the first degree initiate (and higher) has demonstrated control over appetite, sex and money, but under the guidelines of his belief system.

Coming out of the Wilderness

Ruth:

Or is the church coming out of “hiding” with your principles and teachings? Please clarify this for me.

We are coming out of hiding………

JJ

First it is important to realize what the true church is. The true church is not an organization, a dogma or a certain set of rules. The true church has always been composed of those people residing on the earth who have some degree of communion with the inner Christ, have a Christ-like love for their fellow men and women and seek to fulfill a perceived aspect of the Will of God. In the scriptures these people are called the pure in heart.

During times that these spiritual people are openly gathered in any significant degree the church is considered as being out of the wilderness. If gathering is not possible or too dangerous then the church is considered as being in the wilderness.

The internet is a medium that allows many to gather out of the wilderness to a degree. They are not brought physically together but are brought together so they can communicate. This is a productive first step that may lead to a complete coming out of the wilderness for the church.

The Lost Sheep

Ken:

Yeshua would bring forth a 2nd Witness to Testify concerning the One True Gospel. Demons KNOW and understand WE are COMING, and this is WHY they have raised up counterfeits such as the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses who claim to be the True Witness. You are just an offshoot of that, and you would do well to consider what we say.

JJ

The problem is that we have considered what you say and you not only teach contrary to the scriptures, but you make no sense.

According to you, for almost two thousand years God has been so powerless that only you and your brother (and maybe a couple family members) have seen the light for over a 1000 years. That is an example of glamour if I ever heard one and I would strongly suspect that the glamour is so strong that you two see yourselves connected with the two witnesses from the Book of Revelation. Am I right on this?

The Mormons make a much better case that they are a second witness for Christ and their argument has been strong enough to convince over 15,000,000 people. Even so, there are plenty of flaws in their doctrines.

You have been adamant that the scriptures do not say what they say. For instance Paul plainly wrote:

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. I Tim 2:3-4

The words “will have” comes from the Greek THELŌ but the first meaning given by Strongs is “to determine” and the first given by the Blue Letter Bible is “to will, have in mind, intend.”

The Concordant Version which gives us the most accurate literal translations reads thus:

“Who wills that all mankind be saved and come to a realization of the truth.”

I do not think you have convinced anyone here that the scripture says anything different than it plainly states which is that God wills, determines or desires that all eventually be saved and that he has power to accomplish that which he wills.

This is clearly related in the parable of the lost sheep:

Matt 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Matt 18:12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

Matt 18:13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

Matt 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

So here we have it again. It is not within the will of God that even one of his children should perish. When we go astray God himself will go “into the mountains” and the ends of the earth and time to help us and bring us back to our senses so we can embrace the light. He is committed to work with us “until the last weary pilgrim finds his way home.”

Now let us shift away from the scriptures to common sense.

Jesus says that God is a better and more loving parent than earthly parents.

What earthly parent that has any love in his soul does not care for all his children no matter what mistakes they make? What loving parent would not go to the mountains, to the desserts, to the cities to find his lost child who is in great danger?

If we are good enough to make such an effort, then, according to the words of Jesus, God will be better than us and go further than us to save his children.

We mortals are often unable to fulfill our will, but not so with God. If God wants to save all his children then he has the power to do it and will do it.

Because we have free will he has to work with that will but sooner or later the prodigal son gets tired of eating food with the hogs and desires to return to his fathers house where even the lowest of servants fare much better. When he returns he finds that the father has been waiting for him and will restore him to his rightful place as his son.

Making Sense of Truth

For one who puts the Bible on such a pedestal, making it the only book you can trust, you seem to not go much by what it actually says.

For instance, you say that the two witnesses

“are two GROUPS of Believers testifying to the Truth of the One True Gospel. The FIRST Witness testified two days ago (2000 years ago), and the SECOND Witness is close to giving It’s testimony in our day.”

Here is what is actually written about the two witnesses:

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Rev 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Rev 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

These verses make no sense when applying them to two groups existing 2000 years apart from each other. I could write 10,000 words explaining this but just these two examples:

First, it has them working together. You have them working 2000 years apart.

Secondly, all the people of the earth see their dead bodies lying in the streets of Jerusalem (together – not 2000 years apart).

Ken:

There are numerous Scriptures which show the wicked will be DESTROYED, and NOT saved

JJ

The destruction talked about is usually that of their physical bodies. Nowhere in the scriptures does it say that the consciousness of anyone will go into non-existence. We have physical bodies, astral bodies and mental bodies that are all subject to destruction of some kind if we are careless n enough.

The reason the fate of Judas was going to be worse than not being born is because he will still exist as an eternal being and his state after death would be worse than before birth.

You have no explanation that makes any sense as to why Jesus said this about Judas as (in your belief) non existence before birth would be the same (not worse) than non existence after death.

What you have done is merely read the Bible in the light of your own mind and come up with various interpretations, just like hundreds of other belief systems. Then you present them as true whether they make any sense or not just like the hundreds of other Christian sects. What makes you different from them?

Nothing.

On the other hand, this group is different in that we do not accept anything unless it makes sense and that applies to all things written in the Bible, Alice A. Bailey writings or anything else out there.

In the end – if a thing is true it will make sense.

***

Okay, Ken, I think I have gone overboard in allowing you to have your say in a Bible direction that is of little interest to the group. I can easily counter anything you say and you, or most other Bible believers, can come up with some reason why you are right by either a literal or figurative application of the scriptures. This just illustrates why there are hundreds of different churches using the same Bible yet coming up with widely different doctrines. All proclaim, “But we are the ones going by what the scriptures really say…”

It is time to move on now and talk about teachings that involve principles that make sense and have applications along the path of liberation.

Since you do not believe in our concept of liberation you may find yourself in no man’s land here and attempt to revert back to converting us to something we left behind long ago. If we wanted that we would be watching The Good Time Gospel Hour.

At this time I advise the group to ignore you unless you are posting on topic. The current one is the initiations.

Initiation and Judgment

In attempting to give guidelines so readers can have a basis of figuring out where they are upon the path imperfection is to be expected. This is a subject where a black and white reading of such guidelines will not work.

Now if a representative of the beast had an initiation program then black and white steps would be the norm. Because initiates are mostly free from the beast they are able to make judgments internally about their next step and what control is necessary to accomplish it.

When I was under some control of the beast (up to age 33) within the Mormon Church I had to go to the Bishop once a year to answer questions to determine my worthiness to enter the Temple. The questions asked demanded a black and white yes or no answer such as:

  1. Do you pay your tithing (10% of your income to the church)?
  2. Have you been obedient to the Word of Wisdom. That is did you smoke, drink any alcohol tea or coffee?
  3. Have you had any sexual transgressions?
  4. Do you sustain the leaders of the church?

The list goes on but this gives one the general idea. The answers are all yes or no? While I supported the church I was always able to give the expected answers and was deemed worthy to enter the temple.

Later, after 1978, when I freed myself from the last vestiges of the beast my path was no longer influenced by outside authority, but an inside one. When I became totally dependent on the God within the black and white “yes or no” often did not apply.

Now let us examine how my approach is different.

  1. Do you pay your tithing?

I do not pay any money to any church, but I do give all that is feasible to the goal of assisting my brothers and sisters in their journey home. I now feel much more satisfaction about how my substance is used.

  1. Have you been obedient to the Word of Wisdom?

That is did you smoke, drink any alcohol tea or coffee?

When I supported the church I completely abstained from these things. When I was left to my own judgment I reassessed everything. I decided that coffee, tea and some alcohol had some benefits and could be used wisely according to the circumstance. Smoking seemed to cause much more harm than good so I abstained from that, though I wouldn’t be beyond smoking a cigar on a special occasion.

  1. Have you had any sexual transgressions?

When I was in the church sex outside of marriage was a big sin, but after leaving it the decision was completely in my hands so I looked at the principles involved concerning sex. I therefore decided to live for a time with my current wife before we had a legal marriage because we already were living by the principles of marriage. We were committed to each other and neither of us were violating a commitment to anyone else. The legal piece of paper made no difference in our relationship.

  1. Do you sustain the leaders of the church?

I currently sustain any leader who is doing what I consider to be the right thing and oppose those who in any way lead us in a direction that will imprison the souls of mankind.

Now do not assume that I was under a total black and white control while in the church. I always followed the inner voice above the outer. Going through a period of church membership was something necessary for my total learning experience in this life. It brought me to a total realization as to exactly what the beast was.

These examples from my own life illustrate the different approaches a disciple will take under two different circumstances, and when freed completely from the outer voice how one then will use his own judgment as to what to eat or drink etc.

The general guideline for the first degree initiate is this. The seeker will demonstrate control to his own soul over his appetites, sex and money. His soul is the judge of the matter, not you or I. This is why non initiates have difficulty in recognizing initiates, but initiates can generally recognize each other because they have a degree of soul contact.

The Pluto Flyby

The New Horizons Spacecraft has finally flown by Pluto at a distance of 7800 miles. The first images will be in the hands of NASA around 7 PM tonight MDT. They did release a new image as the craft approached from about twice the distance of the moon from the earth. The telescopic lens brings it up closer than it would normally appear from that distance. Check it out here:

LINK

It will be interesting to see close up images of Pluto and its moons in the next couple days. The craft is operating on a plutonium battery producing just 220 watts and will take 16 months to send back all the data it has gathered during the few minutes of the flyby. The transmission rate is slower than the old telephone modems.

The Sword of Excalibur

JJ [archives] wrote:

“Joseph was told in a revelation to “take the sword of my Spirit which I shall pour out upon you”. (D&C 27:18) This is the true sword of Excalibur which is given out from time to time.” – https://freeread.com/archives/707.html

Dan:

So the “true sword of Excalibur” is the “sword of my [God’s] spirit”? What does that mean?

JJ

It is written that, “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh…” Genesis 6:3

The fullness of the power of the spirit is not always available but a full connection is possible during certain cycles that are in the hands of the Great Ones.

When a full connection is made by the uniting of heaven and earth through contact made with us mere mortals then Excalibur rises again from the waters that hide the true spirit. When this occurs, those with pure intent can take the sword of the Spirit and prevail over the opposing forces of materialism and carnal desire.

Windows have opened and closed in the past. I am waiting for another opening.

This goes beyond normal soul contact which is always available.

Problems of the Second Degree

The First Degree initiate has proven to his soul (who cares what anyone else thinks) that the pull of the forces of matter will not negatively impact him as he journeys on the path if return.

Next he must face the even larger problem of neutralizing the distractions caused by the emotional body. I said that the steps of showing the mastery over the physical are not black and white… Well, the criteria for accomplishing the second initiation is even much less black and white. The illusions and glamours keeping the pilgrim from seeing the necessary steps to be taken for the mastering of the emotional body are great indeed.

From one point of view this is the most difficult of initiations. It is not because the steps to be taken are so strenuous and hard, but because the steps are so difficult to see and accept.

One of the major problems with the mastery of the emotional nature is the influence of glamours which affects the ego.

This is illustrated in the parable of Jesus about the higher and lower rooms:

When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him; And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.

But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Luke 14:8-11

Our emotional body is hell bent on convincing the ego that it is the center of the universe and that it is at a higher station or place on the path than it actually is. When the seeker is thus given the choice of seeing himself as in a higher or lower state his emotional self will push him to select the higher, just as did the guy in the parable.

Eventually, the day of reckoning comes where the truth becomes known and, if one discovers that he overestimated his status, he will find himself somewhat humiliated.

If he is humble and willing to accept himself, no matter where he may be then he will not be disappointed, but may wind up pleasantly surprised when his soul reveals that he is at a higher station than he thought.

Understanding the humility of taking the “lowest room” is itself beset with the glamour of false humility. Some, who see humility as a great virtue, will go out of their way to project it in a black and white manner, always proclaiming themselves to be incompetent, or not as good as others, or playing the martyr. This glamour fools some into thinking the guy is really humble, but instead this glamour feeds he ego because the emotional body feels it is really taking the “highest room” by creating this artificial humility.

Real humility does not feed the ego or seek for praise from anyone. Neither does real humility discount one’s real talents and abilities. DK basically says that real humility is recognizing your true place on the path and acting accordingly. He uses these words:

humility must always accompany a spiritual self-respect which forbids a disciple to stand anywhere upon the Path, except in his rightful place.

The problem is that the rightful place is sometimes difficult to see. If one does not know it then the phrase “known abilities” would apply.

Here are a few more of his words:

(Humility) equips its possessor with a balanced point of view as to himself, his responsibilities and his life work. This, when present, will enable him to view himself dispassionately and his presented opportunities with equal dispassion.

True humility is based on fact, on vision and on time pressures … I would remind you that there must always be humility in the presence of true vision.

He needs also to cultivate that true humility which will force him to give all he has in selfless service, and then to forget that he has thus given of himself. He must have no thought of himself as a factor in the case. Only when detachment and humility are present can a disciple really serve. Cultivate, therefore, these qualities and continue the giving of yourself in service.

Glamours are distortions of reality filtered through the emotional body. The fogs they create that prevent true vision can only be lifted through true humility with the seeker making a great effort to see things as they really are.

In addition to false humility common glamours that need to be overcome are.

The glamour of the place on the path. This causes the seeker to take the higher room, as in the parable. This is a very common one for beginners. Many with this glamour will be found proclaiming themselves to having lived famous past lives which are figments of their imagination.

The glamour of magnified self-importance. Some feel that God or the Hierarchy is depending on them and not much can be accomplished without them.

The glamour of the watcher. This person feels superior enough to be the watcher for iniquity in the group and sees it as his mission to reveal the flaws of others while not understanding his own.

The glamour of spiritual dominance or control over others. This person seeks to associate with weaker minds than himself so he can retain an air of superiority. This will cause him to dismiss someone who can truly assist him.

The glamour of devotion. This leads the seeker in the opposite direction in that he is so devoted to his teacher, teaching, belief or thoughtform that he looks neither to the left or the right to see the full reality present.

The glamour of failure. This person may claim to believe in the eventual triumph of good, but in the short run he always anticipates lots of problems, and opposition that will produce failure. Amazingly, he achieves the failure he sees coming.

The glamour of the victim. This is similar to the previous one but with a twist. He thinks he can’t succeed because people are out to get him or do not treat him fairly.

The glamour of personality. This person is impressed by teachers more because of the power of their personality than by their actual words and works – the two witnesses. He is likely to say something like, “I looked into his eyes and I just knew he was a man of God.” He will praise his teacher, priest, reverend or prophet more for being a wonderful personality than for any truth he has received.

The glamour of desire. He judges truth by what he desires it to be rather than what he sees it to be.

These are just a few of the popular glamours out of hundreds that could be named. The task of finding them in ourselves and then dispelling them is a Herculean task indeed.

Signs of the Second Initiation

The First Initiation is sometimes called “the birth of the Christ in the Heart” and it corresponds to the birth of Jesus. Hundreds of lifetimes pass before this is achieved.

The Second Initiation corresponds to the baptism at around the age of 30. The third corresponds to the transfiguration and the fourth to the experience in the garden and the crucifixion. Notice that once initiation has begun that the greatest distance by far in time is between the first and the second. Even so, it is with disciples, because the second is so difficult to pass because of the upside down vision and reasoning of the emotional body.

Polarizing oneself in the mind yet being detached from the emotions, while still allowing oneself to feel all there is to feel and allowing the emotional body to live freely, is a difficult accomplishment indeed.

Here are signs that the disciple has achieved or nearly achieved the Second Initiation.

(1) First and foremost he (or she) will not take offense when no offense is intended.

The seeker will find that many who are assumed to be masters or have achieved some type of liberation and display a lot of control over the physical side (maybe passed the First Initiation) will just go to pieces when challenged or criticized.

To one who understands the steps of progression this is like the guy is waving is hands and saying, “Hey, guys, I’m not at the Second Degree yet!”

(2) His peace will still be in place when offense is intended. He will register the offense as intentional and deal with it from a mental level, only attempting to correct, not to hurt or insult. Personal attacks using words like stupid, hypocrite, liar etc will be avoided if at all possible.

Someone can insult him by shouting in his face and he can politely answer back with a smile. (This will often inflame the guy even more).

(3) Harmlessness. He will seek to do no harm to others, either physically or emotionally. He will attempt to see the Christ in even the worst of those he encounters.

(4) What he accepts as truth will be decided by reason and soul perception, not emotional sound bytes. He will always look at the underlying truth behind emotionally charged words, actions and events.

“If the glove doesn’t fit you must acquit” would not have much effect on the initiate of the second degree. Neither would merely stating “hope and change” over and over.

(5) He has neutralized and overcome the martyr complex.

Life is often tough for the would be initiate and the temptation is great to see himself as a victim of all kinds of things such as:

(A) Ill Health. It may seem that he has been singled out to suffer while others less worthy get a pass.

(B) Attacks or bad treatment from family, friends and associates. It seems that others are treated much better than he is.

(C) The general unfairness from happenings and relationships in his life.

The second degree initiate sees beyond all these things and looks at the synthetic whole. He realizes that he is the prime creator of his own reality and overall life. He sees that through numerous incarnations life treats him as fairly as anyone else. He assumes control over that which he can change and accepts without complaint that which he cannot change.

Example: If his boss does not promote him when he knows he deserves it, and there is nothing he can do to change his mind, he will either accept the situation or seek other employment. He will not go through the “poor me” experience for he sees himself as in charge of his overall life.

(6) He will react pleasantly to criticism whether it be fair or unfair. Sometimes a totally outrageous criticism may require a strong emotional response, but this will be decided by the mind and the reaction will be harmless in intent.

(7) The ego will be under control and the seeker will not be adversely affected by glamours, some of which were discussed previously.

This power is difficult to detect by observers or the seeker himself because glamours are so numerous and often very subtle and difficult to see. Only the powers of the soul can rightly judge the disciple to be free of their influence.

(8) Strong soul contact. The seeker will rely on the soul over the personality and trust its guidance as he journeys through life. He knows the difference between communication with the soul and impressions from his emotional self. Emotional influence comes under the full power of the mind and soul.

That gives us a few clues as to this important step. Even so, only those who are ready will see them accurately.

He who guards his words, and who only speaks with altruistic purpose, in order to carry the energy of Love through the medium of the tongue, is one who is mastering rapidly the initial steps to be taken in preparation for initiation. Speech is the most occult manifestation in existence; it is the means of creation and the vehicle for force. In the reservation of words, esoterically understood, lies the conservation of force; in the utilisation of words, justly chosen and spoken, lies the distribution of the love force of the solar system,—that force which preserves, strengthens, and stimulates. Ruth:

You can curse as much as you want …………………………….as long as there is no negative energy behind the words imo……….

JJ

Swearing may have it’s place and there are times it may even add power to your words but most of the time it will represent the scattering of force under the direction of the emotional body, rather than mind. In these cases where the emotions tell you to @##$%%^ – instead go in the zone ++++++++. This can be done without suppressing any emotions of grievance.

I have to admit though that when I drop an anvil on my toe I may let out a few choice words.

Historical Hindsight

Many mistakes are made when we try and reverse engineer history. Many historians write as if the problems of World War II would have been solved if we had just taken out Hitler before the war. On hindsight almost everything thinks that would have been a good idea.

Let us suppose for a moment that Churchill had been in power instead of Chamberlain and decided to do just that. What would have been the probable outcome? Few have considered this but here is the way I see it.

First of all, it would have been a very unpopular move and Churchill would have been demonized by the media, his political opposition and many countries of the world, even if FDR supported the move.

Invading Germany, even before Hitler completed his war machine, would have been very expensive and there would have been many additional complaints about the money spent.

Now, let us suppose the invasion was successful. Churchill won the combat war and killed Hitler. What next?

He had to keep the peace, install a new government and assist the people in a transition back to normal democracy.

So… Would all the faithful Nazis have just accepted the defeat and rolled over?

Not hardly. The Nazi’s were fierce fighters and smart and would have resisted in any way possible. They were not dumb enough to go on suicide missions but they would have created bombs, poison gas or whatever was at their disposal to attack the occupying government and sabotage them.

As the heat was turned up on them the worst of the bunch would have fled to Fascists Italy under the friendly Mussolini. After this here is what may have happened.

Churchill undergoes even more criticism after several years of occupation. It appears that they can never create a successful transition.

Churchill sees the problems and tells the people that it is important that they stay the course and make sure the provisional government is kept free from the power of the Nazis and Mussolini. England and America must do what it takes to keep the peace until stability evolves.

Unfortunately, Churchill is voted out of power and Chamberlain takes the reigns under the slogan “peace in our time” along with the mantra of “hope and change.”

Chamberlain withdraws all the troops from Germany telling the Germans that it is time for them to stand on their own and resist the Nazis and fascists.

Because the withdrawal was announced in advance the Nazis saw their day of opportunity and organized to take advantage of this time. They took with them all the forces possible from Italy and united with Nazis still in Germany, and piece by piece, started again to occupy Germany.

Many saw the error of their ways, but still Chamberlain did nothing in hopes that the problem would just go away.

It did not.

Eventually another election was held and Chamberlain was replaced with someone with a bit of common sense. With the support of the people and with aid from the United States they were able to drive out the Nazis and over the next eight years stabilize the government of Germany.

The end result?

There were many problems to handle but World War II was avoided and 6,000,000 Jews were not exterminated. The huge advantage to the world was that the evil genius Hitler was neutralized. This did not eliminate all problems but it eliminated the main problem.

Even so, Saddam Hussein and his sons were more like Hitler than any dictator since him and to think that if he were left in power that everything would have just glided along as normal is insane. Bush eliminated this threat and set everything in place to stabilize the region. Unfortunately, much of it was undone by Obama. Let us hope the next president can help to steer the Middle East back to a stable course.

Not all the plans of the Brotherhood of Light are successful for they have to depend of the free will of the human race to carry them out.

After the war in Iraq began I warned a number of times that the forces of darkness would do everything in their power to prevent a peaceful democracy from developing there. We now see that this has happened and we are at a point where Iraq could swing toward the dark or the light depending on what happens in the next U.S. election as well as the world economy.

“Let light and love and power restore the plan on earth.”

***

Jim gives a quote from a nebulous Texas newspaper stating that George W Bush apologized for the war in Iraq. This is obviously a made up quote for the following reasons:

(1) No specific reference is cited

(2) None of the major media picked it. It would have been a big story and those who hated Bush would have gleefully repeated it if the quotes were verifiable.

(3) There are only a few fringe far left sites quoting this.

(4) The quote is refuted by Bush himself who says he stands by his decision to invade Iraq. These quotes (made after the false quote) are from CBS News and the New York Times who generally check the source of their quotes.

Mr. Bush also said he has no regrets about going to war.

“No, I think it was the right decision,” President Bush said. “My regret is that — a violent group of people have risen up again. This is ‘Al Qaeda plus.’ I put it in the book, they need to be defeated. And I hope we do. It’s – I hope that the strategy. CBS News interview LINK
