Finding Truth
A reader indicates that he has been a searcher but seems to have reached a dead end. He wants to know how to go to his next level of knowledge when he seems to be stuck.
JJ: I’ve written quite a bit about this. There are two significant streams that may help. The first is my teachings on soul contact. If you go to freeread.com and use the search feature and type in soul contact all kinds of things will come up.

We spent quite a bit of time covering 23 Principles of Discovery. I’m thinking of covering them in greater depth and perhaps expanding upon them. Meanwhile here is what we did cover:
- Take the things you know [for reasonable surety] to be true and use them as a foundation or stepping stones for testing additional truths.
- Be willing to let these foundation beliefs be either altered or dropped as some of them are replaced by higher vision.
- The teaching should be in harmony with common sense.
- It should increase the power of Decision and free will.
- It should bring you to a new level of awareness and usefulness.
- Seek out true sources of knowledge, study and incorporate them into your life. Knowledge dispels error and illusion.
- Gather all the reliable information you can about a subject of interest and try and see the principles suggested by the data. Then draw conclusions and run the conclusions by your soul and see if you receive a response.
- Follow all the aspects of the Will of God that are within your perception and your sensitivity to the truth will increase.
- The Process of Elimination. Eliminate those things that are definitely not true and contemplate on that which remains.
- Effective Communication. Communication through perception of the outside world; Person to person communication, and communication through the soul.
- Truth is in harmony with spiritual principles; therefore we discover that which is true through the application of those principles.
- The principle of planting and harvesting.
- The Law of Correspondences. The principle behind it is “as above so below,” and visa versa.
- Take that belief which is embraced by the world and look in the opposite direction. In this opposite direction much truth lies hidden.
- Discernment. In particular the disciple should seek the power to discern beyond physical seeing so he can see the difference in effects from the astral/emotional world and the world of the soul.
- Seek proven authorities and learn from them.
- Put your attention on finding that which is true rather than that which is in error.
- Faith in the Dominating Good — or a belief that God is good.
- Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened – Ask and you shall receive.
- Plant a seed thought in your mind and heart, and feed this thought with contemplation and meditation. Observe the fruit that comes forth, and accept that which is sweet and registers with your soul.
- Understand and develop the principle of intuition through which quantums of truth can be downloaded into your mind and understood by the heart.
- The Pendulum Principle.
- Since the soul is the door to all true principles, the seeker must learn to recognize the higher spiritual vibrations and differentiate them from the lower.

Are you unresponsive because you’re too prideful to admit you’re wrong, or is your wife tired of nursing your ego when she types things for you?
I do not have time to handle all your nit picking criticisms that are of little interest to God or man. I do all my own typing.
Little interest to God or man? I think you have my sharp criticisms confused with your teachings. From the looks of things, the most engagement you ever get is from me. You should be grateful.
Additionally, this list contradicts itself.

If a belief is embraced by the world, by definition that makes it common sense, otherwise it wouldn’t be common. So, should we embrace common sense or reject it? Just another example of your teachings trying to scatter and confuse the minds of your readers.
1. Not wrong, but not profound either.
2. Don’t cling to ideas just because you like them a lot.
3. Common sense says look both ways before you cross the street, don’t eat bread with green spots on it, don’t piss in the wind. Common sense also says to not take some hag claiming to channel the spirit of a monk seriously because they’re a scam. Common sense also says that a guy who is crucified and entombed for three days is dead, and any tails of resurrection is just a comic book trope. Whose common sense?
4. Decisions and free will are conditions of cause-and-effect. Unless you deny cause-and-effect, the matters of decision and free will ultimately reduce down the material conditions of that chain.
5. Usefulness to what? To whom? Who is determining what is useful?
6. As opposed to false sources of knowledge? Wow, what an insightful take.
7. Redundant repeats of previous points, but vibing from feelings that you attribute to the soul is not reliable. Again, so many people claim to do the same thing and all come to different conclusions.
8. “Will of God,” a completely meaningless concept that you just project your own sensibilities onto.
9. More redundant repetition of the obvious.
10. As opposed to ineffective communication? Seriously, who actually has to be told that effective communication is a good thing?
11. There are no spiritual principles. There are many religions and denominations of those religions claiming to have the true spiritual principles and they all disagree with each other at many points. You’re forgetting #7 about reliable sources. Anyone or anything who claims notions about spiritual principles are notoriously unreliable.
12. You reap what you sow.
13. A lot of reaching is done to make this work, i.e. trying to reinforce strict gender roles by seeing men and women as metaphors for protons and electrons. You should contemplate the opening sentence of the Tao te Ching: “The tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.”
14. Flat Earthers function according to this principle. Questioning established ideas does not automatically put you on the path to discovering any truth, but the path to discovering the truth might cause you to go against establishment ideas. You have placed the cart before the horse.
15. There is an internal world to consider, no denying that. Slapping labels like “soul” onto it is pointless.
16. More repetition.
17. Even more repetition, and not even a clever restatement at that.
18. Meaningless appeals to a deity.
19. Maybe, but this might as well just be a bumper-sticker slogan at this point.
20. More repetition, this time from #12.
21. New Age word salad.
22. This is not a real principle. It’s a rhetorical device that the extremes like to use to frame themselves as being less extreme.
23. More New Age word salad and spiritual mumbo-jumbo that says nothing.
Interspersing basic notions and some truth with a bunch of repetition and useless mumbo-jumbo while leaving out important questions about the premises shows a lack of ability to distill concepts down to their purest form. In other words, you have a lot of fat here and very little meat. This means one of two things. Either you are terrible at the distillation and not a good spiritual teacher, or you’re being intentionally obtuse to bait your readers into a never-ending cycle of more reading and more classes. I’ma go with the latter, since the final “principle” is a bunch of mumbo-jumbo trying to disguise itself as something profound and ends with a link to more reading and more classes. Whatever the case may be, you’re not a reliable source of anything true and nobody should take you seriously.
