DK, War & Peace

Richard writes:

JJ has already politicized the supernatural by determining if DK leans to the left or right.

JJ

Most people tell us with their own words which direction they lean. In examining DK’s leanings I merely presented his views in his own words which made many of his leanings quite obvious.

Richard

My question to JJ is does DK lean to the War Party or to the Peace Party?

JJ

Don’t know of any peace party. It couldn’t be the Democrats as Democratic administrations led us in World War I, World War II, the Korean War and into Vietnam.

The Republicans led us into the Gulf War and Afghanistan.

I would guess that neither of these is the peace party. It can’t be the Green Party as they are always at war with capitalistic interests.

The Libertarians as a whole try to avoid physical war but most consider themselves at war on other levels with Big Government.

As far as DK goes we know of a surety that he supported the Allies against Hitler in World War II. He strongly criticized the United States for taking an isolationist attitude and allowing Hitler to become such a menace to civilization.

He strongly criticized the peace movements for getting in the way and slowing down the process of winning the war.

After the War he wanted the Allied nations to have a monopoly on the atomic bomb in order to prevent totalitarian regimes from threatening the world. Unfortunately, this did not happen.

Outside of World War I & II we do not have data on which recent wars he would have supported, but he did make it clear that when freedom or a just cause is at stake that one should fight. He often quoted the example of Arjuna from the Bhagavad Gita which he said was a scripture of the highest order.

Arjuna was faced with a similar prospect to many in the American Civil War and said this to Krishna:

How can I do battle with my kinsmen, with those I love and who have loved me, for whom I have cared, as they once cared for me? Though they have gathered to serve Duryodhana’s folly, to deprive us of our birthright, to kill me and my brothers on this battlefield, how can I fight them? My body trembles at the thought. My bow falls from my hands. My flesh burns. My arms and legs have no strength. My mind is confused; my reason confounded. I am lost.

… To act is to bring upon us a day of pitch darkness. We have come here for the sake of an earthly kingdom; … But by acting, we reserve for ourselves only a place in Hell. It is best for me if Duryodhana and his armies come before me. Disarmed by doubt, I will not resist them as they kill me. This will be my best reward. These were Arjuna’s words to Krishna as the two armies awaited Arjuna’s signal to begin the battle.

With Arjuna’s words sounding in his ears, Krishna’s spirit quickened. He spoke to Arjuna, whose eyes burned with tears, overwhelmed by despair. Krishna said: —What shameful words are these, Arjuna? This is the hour of trial. Why do you falter? Your despondent grief enfeebles you; it dishonors you. Slunk in the trenches of despair, you will win neither heaven nor earth. Do not exchange arrows and bow for impotence and cowardice; this is not your way. Do not yield to these faults or to this weakness. Rise up and fight!”

Arjuna said: —How can I fight them, immortal Krishna? These enemies are my teachers from earliest youth. How can I cut them down when they deserve only my veneration? It is better to wander in rags, begging for alms, than to sprinkle the bread of my sustenance with their blood.

… With these words, Arjuna cried out: —I will not fight! and said nothing more.

Krishna smiled, hinting of laughter, and spoke gently to Arjuna as they stood between the two armies. Krishna said: —Do not weep tears for them. Though your words are sincere and full of insight, your sorrow profits no one. Tears are wasted on the dead; the wise do not grieve for the living or the dead, for life and death shall pass away. —In time we have always been, both you and I and all these kings of men; and we will always be. Putting on the body of the child, the youth, the old man, a wise man does not wonder that in death, the Self passes into another body. … Even if you believe that a man is born again and again, and that he dies again and again, you should not grieve, for in death birth is inevitable and in birth death is inevitable. Being born, he must die. In death, he is reborn. If you understand this, then you will not grieve for the loss of what can never be lost.

Do your duty, Arjuna. Act without hesitation. For the warrior, the greatest good is lawful war against an evil enemy. A lawful war opens the doors of heaven for you. Enter therein, Arjuna. Rejoice in good fortune that this battle is joined. But if you shrink before this battle or turn your back upon your duty, casting aside honor, this is a grievous transgression. Men will recount your shame, dishonor, and disgrace now and in the future. They shall say cowards possess the courage of Arjuna. For one honored, the loss of honor is worse than death. Great warriors will accuse you of cowardice; those who once honored you will treat you with contempt. Your enemies will rejoice in mocking you. They will laugh and say, “See how Arjuna fled before us, a deer among lions.” Death in battle is better than the mocking derision of enemies. —If you are victorious, you gain glory in this world. If you are defeated and cut down on this field, you gain glory in the next world. Arise and fight, Arjuna. Glory is upon you. Be detached from happiness and unhappiness, gain or loss, victory or defeat. Be resolved to fight, or you will fall into error.

Indeed, if we are faced with low life’s who wish to kill us or take away our freedoms the best course is to fight to preserve that which is just and right.

Questions on Lesser Lives

Questions on Lesser Lives

Ruth quotes me as follows:

“What you see and sense is a powerful life form dwelling in the solar plexus area that wants to take control of the body and direct it toward destructive ends for its own satisfaction.”

And then asks:

Why would this powerful life form want to direct out body toward destructive ends for its own satisfaction?

JJ

These lives are on a different course than whole human lives. They evolve by being controlled. When intelligently controlled, they can be directed toward constructive ends. When not controlled they merely take the line of least resistance which leads to chaos.

Ruth

Does it get some type of pleasure from this? And why would it?

JJ

Emotionally based lives get pleasure from expressing themselves whether it be constructive or destructive. They do not have much discernment.

Have you ever reacted emotionally and then minutes later asked yourself, “Why did I do or say that?” What happened is you turned your body over to the life of the solar plexus which just wants to express itself, good or bad.

Ruth:

If it did this, then it would have no body?

JJ

There is a lot of destructive emotional things said and done that do not involve injuring the body. Normally the feeling nature seeks to preserve the life of the body.

Ruth

Where did this life form that is so destructive come from?

JJ

All lives are composites of lesser lives. The solar plexus has ten petals dominated by ten lesser lives with a more significant one in the center of the lotus.

From the beginning of the universe the intelligence of God worked through lesser lives, gathering them together to create greater lives. All organized lives came from the creative mind of God.

Ruth

Are these life forms part of the Lunar Lords from the Moon chain?

JJ

Many lesser lives here were partially developed in past systems.

Ruth

So why are we housing a life form that is so destructive? Is that part of our karma, or part of our own lower nature from a past universe?

JJ

It has little to do with negative karma. All life, including man goes through a destructive and uncontrolled period until he begins to fulfill the purpose of his creation and creates or encounters some type of control or direction that moves it toward a constructive, joyful end.

When lives of the solar plexus are put under constructive control they then reflect the energies of the soul and add to the joy of being human.

Ruth:

Is this lifeform the Dweller also, or is this life form, like the Dweller wherein it is a collective of all our negative thoughts, since the beginning of time and space?

JJ

No. Your dweller is a thoughtform composed of emotional and mental matter apart from the centers. It may use fear and negative emotion connected with the lower centers, but it is distinct from them.

Freedom Without Responsibility

Freedom Without Responsibility

Adam writes:

On the individual side of things, this would explain why sudden changes in human consciousness (i.e. when the individual gives himself/herself more freedom to explore and express, uninhibited by prior beliefs and unearned authority) so often result in temporary chaos of indulgence. A religious person that releases the binds of controlled thought that has always controlled his actions, thus overindulges in the senses for a time – perhaps even succumbing to long term addiction and dangerous, even life-threatening behaviors.

Hopefully the individual eventual learns to harness/control the passions again, but with a higher sense of consciousness and enhanced freedom. Three steps forward with two steps back, but ever upward.

JJ

This tendency of the disciple to get out of control and throw away the benefits of control imposed upon him when he makes his first advances into spiritual freedom was addressed in the book of Revelation. Here is the verse with my comments:

The Master follows the praise with some criticism:

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” Rev 2:4-5

Scholars are somewhat mystified as to what was the “first love” of the church at Ephesus. Some think that it was the original enthusiasm, brotherhood or ideals of the members that just wore off and they were being admonished to get themselves recharged.

A closer examination will reveal that this was not the problem. To understand what the first love is we need to return to the key word which is “permission”.

As written earlier, the first real step toward enlightenment and movement on the path occurs when the seeker gives himself permission to follow his internal authority rather than the outward. To discover the first love we must ask ourselves what the seeker was attracted to that caused him to take the steps to find the path in the first place – before he followed his internal self. In other words, what virtue did he have before he was enlightened that made him move toward Spirit to begin with?

The answer leads us to his first love.

Before he was ruled by internal permission, his life was governed by external authorities who gave him permission. These external authorities were seen as representing the voice of God. As such, the seeker took these outer commands and instructions very seriously. He felt that if he disobeyed the prophet, priest, guru or book it was the same thing as disobeying God. He was thus very assiduous about honoring that voice and being a good servant for God, as he understood the concept. This was his first love.

Then, at the start of his new journey, he discovered that the authorities representing the voice of God knew no more about the truth than he did – that his internal voice was what he needed to follow.

The problem is that there are two internal voices. One is the voice of the Spirit and the other is the voice of the lower self, expressing lower desire. When the seeker first begins his journey on the path it is true that he does indeed contact the real voice, but neither is he perfect nor has he overcome selfishness. The lower voice is much easier to hear and requires no meditation or concentration of attention to get its message. Thus, when the aspirant begins his spiritual journey, he hears the lower voice much more than he hears the higher.

In the past he had some protection from following the lower nature because he followed his “first love,” his teachers and the voice of God they represented. Despite their faults, these outer authorities admonished him to exercise self-control over his passions and lower nature. They encouraged him to have self-discipline.

When the seeker discovers his inner authority and gives himself permission to ignore the outer, he (for a period of time) goes from one extreme to the other. He goes from obeying every external word that seems to come from God to ignoring all he has learned in the past.

What does he do now? Now that he has released himself from outer authority he follows the inner, but the trouble is that the spiritual voice does not lay down the law in detail, as did the outer. If he has a decision to make and does not receive clear instruction from the Spirit, he falls back on lower desire. When he makes this mistake he is left with a choice between lower desire and outer authorities… BUT he has rejected outer authorities, so in all areas where he has no clear communication through the soul (or perhaps ignores that communication), he is left with following lower desire.

The net effect of this situation can be summarized as follows:

(1) The seeker makes the breakthrough and clearly hears and follows the still small voice.

(2) He releases himself from the bondage of outer authorities.

(3) He feels free and this freedom seems to be what enlightenment is all about. He now goes overboard and follows every desire that comes to him, ignoring the discipline he learned in the past.

This explains a popular criticism that many who consider themselves “enlightened” receive from the rank and file religious people. With some justification they will accuse them of being carnal, undisciplined, licentious, rebellious, etc. The seeker will often laugh such criticism off as being somewhat primitive and unenlightened, and continue to follow any impulse that feels good to him. This takes him away from the soul for a period of time. He will find that he will need a wake-up call from the Master’s voice to set him back on track.

In a moment of sanity, when he sees that the lower impulses lead to disaster after disaster, he hears the higher voice:

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

Upon hearing this message he realizes that he has discarded many principles from his past that harmonize with the voice of the Spirit. He has merely used his new freedom as an excuse to follow his lower nature. He sees that if he continues on the current course he will lose contact with the true inner voice and the light (candlestick) will no longer shine within. He must “repent,” or change course. He must honor those things from the past which were good and lead him toward Spirit, and follow the voice of the soul to yet higher realms of understanding.

The Lives in the First Two Centers

In the last post we discussed the influence of the lesser lives through the solar plexus center demonstrating as the lower emotions calling for our attention.

So what about the other centers?

Another center that is often of equal or greater force in getting our attention is the sacral center. This is the center governing sexual energy.

These lives are particularly powerful in young people who have not settled in some type of routine of self control and direction. If reasonable self control is not established the main deva life with its lesser components will dominate the person until his vital energy is exhausted.

The lesser lives of this center are quite easy to recognize. The only reason people do not is that they see the sexual energy as being a part of themselves rather than individual lives within the body.

Now think of a time that a very attractive person crossed your path. If you are normal you felt a strong pull, even if you are committed to someone else. Perhaps a part of you felt like grabbing that person and ravishing him or her on the spot, but of course, you controlled yourself.

Perhaps a part of you felt like throwing your current relationship to the wind and starting something fresh and adventurous.

Fortunately, most people do not follow all the desires expressed by those crazy lives in sacral center. Most put them under some form of control, though many yield in moments of weakness, usually to their regret.

When a provocative sexual situation occurs the observer can certainly at that point register that there are lesser lives in the body with a mind of their own and these lives need to be controlled and directed into a harmless outlet. When the person is highly aroused sexually he or she can definitely feel the effect of these lives which is beyond the mere thought process.

The ultimate testimony to the presence of life in the sacral center is the result of its creative activity which is the birth of a new and independent human life – a baby.

The first center in the lower regions is at the base of the spine. This is the initiating center from whence come the flow of energy that vitalizes or feeds the other centers and hence the entire body.

Now the seeker may comment that he can surely feel the influence of lives from the solar plexus and the sacral, but can’t think of any communication that would be coming from the base chakra. What in the world would that be?

The reason the sensing of the life there is not as obvious is that it is not as excitable as the lives tuned in to the emotions and sexual desire. Even so, all of us feel the life presence there every day, but again the reality passes over our heads.

Tuning into the life in the base center is quite simple. Just ask yourself these questions?

How am I feeling today on a physical level? What is my energy level? Do I feel tired or am I alert and ready to tackle my work?

Then after you ask yourself these questions tune into the life that activates and energizes your physical body?

This is the life at the base chakra. If you feel tired all the time then you are doing something to hinder its vitality. If you feel good energy and a sense of physical well being then you are allowing it to express its life force.

When someone asks you, “How are you, today?” you will generally say fine and see this totally in reference to your life. But the real answer you give (speaking physically) concerns the condition of the lives at the base of the spine.

If the seeker will quiet himself down, concentrate and tune in to his life energy he will become aware of this foundation life. Focus on the energy source for your body and whether or not it is adequate in the present. If it is not adequate then ask it what it needs in order to circulate more energy throughout the body.

Now let us focus on the throat and heart centers. What will communication or contact with them reveal?

Contacting Lesser Lives

Contacting Lesser Lives

Have you ever had a conversation or read a book or article and just have something strike you in such a way that produced an a-hah moment? I think we all have had this experience at one time or another.

I had the privilege of creating such a moment for Bryan Smith in a conversation we had some time ago. I made an off the cuff comment about the influence of the lesser lives in our centers and their influence upon us and the comment turned on a light in his head.

He then asked me if I had ever taught this concept in the Keys or at a gathering. I told him that I had often taught that we were composed of many lesser lives, but did not recall teaching it this way.

Well, the other day in an email he reminded me that I should elaborate more on this topic so here goes.

Many esoteric, metaphysical and new age teachings tell us that life is much more pervasive than accepted by orthodoxy. The common teaching is that all things are alive, from atoms to molecules, to cells in our body and clear up to the earth itself, the sun and the entire universe. All the various parts of the human body are more than just parts that make up a life, but are also individual lives in their own right. In other words, an individual cell in your body has its own consciousness and sphere of influence and ring-pass-not, but merely on a different level than our own.

These lesser lives combine to create the greater life which is the body as a whole.

Expanding on this concept produces the foundation of the teaching of the Molecular Relationship. It is known that humans form groups that seem to have a life of their own, but the Molecular Relationship takes this a step further and tells of scientific groupings and linkings to higher lives that can create greater conscious life forms than humanity has seen before.

That is all well and good, but what caught Bryan’s attention was when I told him that all of us can actually feel some of these lesser lives and communicate with them and direct them if we pay attention. In fact controlling these lesser lives is a key that must be understood and mastered on the path to liberation.

“So where are these lesser lives and how do we feel them?” inquires the seeker. “I realize my cells and organs are alive, but I do not recall receiving or giving communication with any of them.”

To this I respond that you have interplay with lesser lives within you all the time and you communicate with them, but you just did not realize what you were doing.

To this the seeker would want to know how this could be. Here is the answer.

There are many lives within us besides our cells, organs and various physical body parts. The most powerful lives are those that compose the seven centers. Just like you are a life composed of lesser lives, even so, are each of your centers a life composed of lesser lives and are a part of the greater life which is you. Because the centers are the highest lives that are a part of you they are also the easiest to contact and communicate with.

And the strange thing is that humans communicate with them all the time and do not realize it.

How so?

Because it seems that the lesser lives are just us, not something alive in their own right.

“So, where can I find one of these lesser lives and communicate with it?” one asks.

It is quite easy. Just wait for the next time someone irritates you and you feel angry as the dickens

When this happens, just still yourself and step aside from your physical existence for a moment and become the observer. See yourself as being outside of your body just watching what is going on. What do you see?

What you see and sense is a powerful life form dwelling in the solar plexus area that wants to take control of the body and direct it toward destructive ends for its own satisfaction.

This life is not you, but is sharing the body with you and tries to convince you that you and it are the same life and you are under its control.

If you step aside and see this angry life as separate as your dog or an associate then it will indeed dawn on you that the source of this anger is a life that is not you. You will realize that it is not technically correct to say, “I am angry.” Instead, it would be more correct to say something like, “Those darned little deva lives in me are having a fit and want me to express the anger they feel.”

It would also be correct to say, “I feel anger.”

The essence which is you is not angry, but because you have incarnated into the body with these lives capable of creating anger and other feelings, you have the ability to feel what they try to communicate.

When you die and return to your soul you leave many of these lesser lives behind and are not so influenced by them. But when incarnated in the physical we do feel what they feel and for many lifetimes we are deceived into thinking that what they tell us to feel is who we are.

It is not who we are. This is the great revelation that leads to liberation.

The first time the seeker steps aside and tunes into these lesser lives expressing anger, jealousy, irritation, romantic love, strong desire or other emotions connected with the solar plexus he or she will come to some very insightful conclusions.

The easiest emotion expressed by a lesser life for the individual to tune into is anger. This is the easiest feeling to see that it has a life of its own. Many feel anger and sense that this is not the real individual. “This does not seem like the real me, it is not who I want to be, but I feel like kicking the door down,” he may think.

When the seeker then realizes that the anger is coming from a separate life then it becomes much easier for him to take control. It is much easier to drive the car where you want to go when the real you is driving instead of someone else.

If you identify with the anger then someone else is driving your life. But if you place the real you in charge then you become the driver.

And what happens when you take charge of the lesser lives wanting to express anger?

You control them. Just tell them to quiet down, be patient and behave themselves.

Here is another secret about these lesser lives. They evolve differently than we do. We evolve by making conscious decisions and taking charge of our lives. The lesser deva lives go backwards and become out of control when they are given total freedom. Unlike us they evolve by being controlled.

Thus by taking charge of your lower emotions and controlling them you are not only furthering your evolution, but also moving the evolution of the lesser lives forward.

Now keep in mind that control is different than suppression or denial. To suppress is to tell the lesser lives they do not count and this denies their right to feel. If you do this they will rebel and attack the whole body and often create disease.

The seeker must recognize the lesser lives and direct them to their right place by good old fashion self control.

All the lesser lives we have covered belong to the solar plexus but there are six other major centers. Any idea what are the characteristics of some of the lives in the other centers and how to communicate with them?

Have a Thankful Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and has plenty to eat and drink.

Having a thankful spirit no matter what the circumstances is very beneficial in many ways. It makes the person pleasant to be around and increases the vital energy of the one who is thankful, aiding in good health and happiness.

Here are some fun facts on Thanksgiving for your enjoyment.

  • Mashed potatoes, pumpkin pies, popcorn, milk, corn on the cob, and cranberries were not foods present on the first Thanksgiving’s feast table.
  • Lobster, rabbit, chicken, fish, squashes, beans, chestnuts, hickory nuts, onions, leeks, dried fruits, maple syrup and honey, radishes, cabbage, carrots, eggs, and goat cheese are thought to have made up the first Thanksgiving feast.
  • The pilgrims didn’t use forks; they ate with spoons, knives, and their fingers.
  • Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird, not the eagle.
  • Thomas Jefferson thought the concept of Thanksgiving was “the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard.”
  • Americans eat 46 million turkeys each Thanksgiving.
  • Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s first meal in space after walking on the moon was foil packets with roasted turkey.
  • Abraham Lincoln issued a ‘Thanksgiving Proclamation’ on third October 1863 and officially set aside the last Thursday of November as the national day for Thanksgiving.
  • The heaviest turkey on record, according to the Guinness Book of Records, weighs 86 pounds.
  • Californians consume the most turkey in the U.S. on Thanksgiving Day!
  • Female turkeys (called hens) do not gobble. Only male turkeys gobble.
  • The average turkey for Thanksgiving weighs 15 pounds.
  • Campbell’s soup created green bean casserole for an annual cookbook 50 years ago. It now sells $20 million worth of cream of mushroom soup.
  • Turkeys have heart attacks. When the Air Force was conducting test runs and breaking the sound barrier, fields of turkeys would drop dead.
  • Fossil evidence shows that turkeys roamed the Americas 10 million years ago.
  • 91% of Americans eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Columbus thought that the land he discovered was connected to India, where peacocks are found in considerable number. And he believed turkeys were a type of peacock (they’re actually a type of pheasant). So he named them “tuka”, which is “peacock” in the Tamil language of India.
  • The First Thanksgiving lasted for three days.
  • The largest pumpkin pie ever baked weighed 2,020 pounds and measured just over 12 feet long.

Adam’s Book and Other Endeavors

I just finished reading Adam Clayton’s book – Pep’s Herculean Labor. He took the basic idea of the Parable of Decision and expanded it into a children’s story. He did a very good job, especially for a guy who has not been a professional writer. It’s not only a good book for children but adults will enjoy it also for it does a great job of expanding on the principles in the parable in a way to enhance the meaning.

Here is the first of several reviews at Amazon:

The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, make them.’ – George Bernard Shaw . Great modern day fable that transports the reader back to a land of make believe and adventure. Enjoyed the universal truths that are carefully woven into the chapters of this book. We are reminded that analysis paralysis is a hell all of its own, and you reap what you sow.

Here is a LINK for the book

The book is free to Kindle subscribers or just $2.99 for others.

The fact that Adam accomplished this all on his own with no orders from me or anyone else makes me reflect on the power of initiating as it applies to traveling the path of the initiate.

This brings a scripture to mind:

For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward.

Verily, I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness; For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward. D&C 58:26-28

I thought I would name a number of other participants here who have been helpful and initiated things of their own free will.

The first Keyster’s initiate was Rick Audette who started the Keys forum and invited, or perhaps insisted, that I participate. He is always working on initiating something new.

Here are some more, not in any particular order.

Lorraine started the first gathering which has continued ever since.

LWK has created various websites to promote my writings and some of his own.

Bryan Smith spent years managing the freeread website and collected many quotes from the archives into The Book of Quotes, still available on freeread.

For years now Ruth (RJ) as carried the ball posting daily quotes that has been helpful and inspiring to many.

Anni West translated the immortal Series into Danish and published them there at her own expense.

Maria Del Rosario Jaquete Herraiz translated The Immortal into Norwegian and is seeking a publisher.

Alex translated The Immortal into Russian for us.

Mindy Burge, initiated the esoteric dictioonary and did some editing for me.

A number of others have helped with editing such as James Wong, Susan Manning, Sharon Skahl, Marylin Adams, Robin Kennon, Diane Holmes, Jim Winegardner, Assaf Friedman, Rob Brennan and Viggi Jonsson. There are a half dozen others who have presently volunteered that are editing some archives that that haven’t yet finished their portion.

Sharón Wyeth also helped with some editing and went on to write a book of her own initiating a new area of thinking on the meaning of names. She also gives many seminars and classes.

Elizabeth Joyce has written several metaphysical books and recently appeared on Coast to Coast.

Dan Howell and Blayne Sukut have been working to initiate new methods of permiculture and self sustaining food production. This knowledge could be very valuable when the gathering begins.

Susan Manning has been attempting to gather the lights in a safe place of refuge. This has proven to be a very difficult project.

Larry Woods has written numerous songs for the group of his own initiative and is always seeking the means to initiate various ideas.

Scott Stevens mentioned me on Coast to Coast which was a big help.

Matthew Steel transcribed a number of gatherings.

We can’t forget Justin who initiated the current podcast program.

Then there is Sterling, Richard and others who have initiated various projects along their own lines of interest.

In addition to this numerous members have assisted me in a number of ways who are silent helpers. Then there are regular posters like Johann who just hangs in there and gives of himself. Adrian sends me regular tips on good web sites.

I appreciate you all. I’m sure I left some deserving souls out. That doesn’t mean you are not appreciated.

… Oh, yeah, my wife has been a big help also. (Whew, dodged a bullet there.)

Freedom, A Pearl of Great Price

Freedom, A Pearl of Great Price

It is bad enough that free speech is under attack, but in addition to this almost every freedom our forefathers fought for is being diminished.

The Second Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms, comes under renewed attack whenever some crazy guy goes on a shooting spree. Yes, there are some accidents and homicides due to guns, but many more deaths and serious injuries due to car accidents. But no one calls for the banning of cars.

Why?

Because their usefulness far exceeds the damage they cause.

And what is the usefulness of guns?

The main one, which was enunciated by our founders, was for insurance to keep us free. A government will be nervous taking us too far toward tyranny if its citizens are armed and other nations would think twice about invading us when the citizens are armed with a couple hundred million guns.

We need to recall that the worst killing spree that has happened on American soil was caused, not by guns, but by 19 men with box cutters who hijacked airplanes. Yet no one called for the banning of air travel.

Again, even with great disasters now and then air travel brings much more benefit and freedom than it takes away.

Big Brother has been taking away freedoms in many other ways. If you count all the hidden taxes the average taxpayer pays more than 50% in taxes.

Government borrowing and charging the reckless debt to you and me and our children is another great inhibitor.

Excessive laws and regulations are suffocating many just trying to make a living.

Other freedoms at risk are our religious freedoms, a free unregulated internet, freedom from excessive and frivolous lawsuits and just a general freedom to speak and act with out of the box ideas.

DK supported the allies against Hitler to secure freedoms necessary to insure the coming of the New Age, but I would suppose he would be concerned today as he surveys the current situation.

Yes, some things have improved, but it will all be for nothing if we were to lose our freedom. We must ever remember these great words emphasized by numerous Founding Fathers including Jefferson.

Eternal vigilance is the cost of liberty.

Right/Left Brain

Right/Left Brain

Tom asks if we can use both sides of his brain as he has interests in astronomy as well as being an artist.

Yes, of course. All of us use both sides of the brain and use both male and female energies.

A typical person in a male body would be pulled in the male direction by maybe 60% of the two energies and 40% toward the female. Yet some polarized as male would go close to the middle such as 51% male 49% female. A very macho guy may be 70/30.

I think I am close toward the middle, probably about 52/48. Even so, I am very passionate about some of my male directions as well as my female ones. Like you, I love astronomy and science (male direction) but I love being creative (female direction) such as writing books, stories, songs, poetry and receiving new principles.

Equal, But Different

This entry is part 56 of 73 in the series 2015

Equal, But Different

Larry Summers didn’t get into trouble because he believed that men were smarter at math than women but because he was examining the data which indicated differences and was seeking an explanation. After the uproar that fired him he learned that he should have just kept his mouth shut.

There are differences of focus between male and female, between races, countries, groups and individuals. This doesn’t mean that one is superior to the other.

We are all born with equal potential for intelligence, but manifest it in different ways because of where we put our attention. There are a lot of influences that cause us to focus attention on different things. The female is polarized in receiving, feeling, nurturing energy and the male in sending, problem solving active energy. Engineering school attracts men much more than women, not because females cannot do math and analysis, but because it requites them to go out of the comfort zone as far as energy goes, like swimming upstream.

I started out college in engineering school and there was only one female out of hundreds in the whole system – even though there was nothing keeping them away. Now there are a few more. Harvard has 15% females in the engineering doctorate program and 85% male so more are getting involved.

On the other hand, more nurturing professions such as nursing draw mostly females. When I was young I had never heard of a male nurse, but now there are a few, but females still dominate because they are in their energy.

The simple truth is this. A job that requires an abundance of left brain male energy will draw a larger percentage of males and one that requires more female energy will draw more females.

For instance, what percentage of daycares are managed by females? I would guess it is pretty high since females are in their energy when nurturing and caring for children.

What percentage of machine shops are managed by males?

Again, I would guess it is pretty high since the job requires left brain thinking.

Now if a male decides to focus on a work that requires right brain (female) thinking or a female on left brain activity they can each intelligently perform if they keep up their focus. Both will have to put forth a little extra effort though because it will be a bit like swimming against the current.

The same thing goes with races. Because of ray influences, body type, inherited tendencies and culture the various races tend to express intelligence in different ways though they have equal potential.

As individuals we are all different and each of us has many influences acting upon us that we tune in to and decide whether we will go with the energy available or go against it. Most will go with it.

Now this is a different matter than deciding on a difficult life decision. In going with that difficult life decision the seeker will generally find he is going with the flow of his energy rather than against it.

It is interesting that there are significant differences in the ways an individual uses intelligence from one life to the next. In one life he may be female and another male and lean toward totally different professions.

In one life his energies may direct his intelligence and focus towards sports and physical things, in another communication and creative endeavors and then another toward science.

Perhaps in his life as an artist he sees himself as having no mathematical ability, yet he could have been very skilled at it in a past life when he placed his attention on it.

Any healthy human being can become proficient at any skill if he places sustained attention on developing that skill.

“The first requisite of success is the ability to apply your physical and mental energies to one problem without growing weary.”

A Time for Silence

A Time for Silence

Ruth

Why does the Disciple have to learn to be silent in the face of that which is evil?

JJ

DK is not saying that we should give into evil. He gave out strong words of resistance to Hitler and was against pacifism. Note carefully his words:

The disciple must learn to be silent in the face of that which is evil. He must learn to be silent before the sufferings of the world, wasting no time in idle plaints and sorrowful demonstration, but lifting up the burden of the world; working, and wasting no energy in talk. … expressing the love force of the world, as it may flow through him, where it will serve best to ease a load or lift a burden,

A problem with many disciples is that they waste a lot of time focusing on things that they can do nothing about. They waste many hours fretting over the evils in the world as well as the suffering, yet doing nothing about them and doing little to help in areas where they have power to help. The disciple must learn to tune out the negativity in the world which is beyond his control and focus on that which is within his control.

DK also notes another instance where it is wise for the disciple to be silent in the face of evil. He tells us that many disciples have brought upon themselves unnecessary persecution because they sharply criticized authorities. There is a time and place for such criticism, but some will get themselves imprisoned, fined or executed when a wise silence would have bought them more time to effectively serve.

Jesus also spoke of this principle:

Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

Matt 5:25

Being a martyr can be a good thing if something significant is accomplished, but it is a terrible waste if it is all for nothing.

Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.

A Practical Solution

A Practical Solution

As illustrated by the video I just posted and the recent massacre in France the immigration of millions of Muslims poses a great problem. Of special concern is the goal stated by many that their ultimate aim is to take over Europe and eventually the United States by the shear increase of their numbers and then force all people to give allegiance to their version of faith.

At present there are around 6.5 million people displaced in Syria and around four million who have fled the country seeking someone to take them in.

Numbers this great pose a great future problem to the people taking them in. It has raised concerns immensely that one of the terrorists who attacked Paris is believed to be a Syrian refugee and that it is impossible to appropriately screen these people before letting them in. There are grave suspicions that terrorists are sending some of their people disguised as refugees so they can enter various countries in Europe to plan for future attacks.

The countries of the world have waited too long to come up with a sensible solution to this problem. What we need to so is to create a safe zone for them in Syria or some other designated location and provide them with essentials so they can survive without imposing on other nations. Then when the war is over they may be able to return home. The nations affected would supply military cover so the occupied land would be safe from the civil war.

This would cost some money, but would be a lot cheaper than taking them in and putting them on a welfare plan.

This solution is simple and sensible, but Obama wants nothing to do with a real solution. His ultimate goal is to take in 250,000 or more. Since around 80% of unorthodox immigrants vote democratic he has strong motive to keep as many refugees and immigrants here as possible. He is looking at the benefit to his party and ideology above the welfare of he nation.

Sad.

He refuses to use the term “Islamic terrorist” as if there are a lot of Buddhist and Christian terrorists posing just as much threat,

Well, here are just a few terrorists attacks perpetrated in the name of Islam’s Allah. I’d like to see a similar list from any other religion.
