Ruth writes: "It seems to me that any deviation from answering the questions in the lessons here are met with indifference. I would think that any comment coming from the mind of the people on the list would be welcomed as discussion should there be a need for it to be so out of interest. Especially when all the books point to the teachings of the Apostle John.
"Truth through the soul by means of curiosity and asking questions of a teacher is how we learn and grow on our path to God. Should I be a teacher, I would welcome questions of any kind from any source. I am, as are we all, students as well as teachers, all here to bring the light of truth to this dimension. As long as we allow it to be so. Sometimes my curious questions get me into the proverbial " hot water", but it is who I am and what I do."
I do not know where you are coming from here. You brought up the Thunder Books and I answered you the best I could. All questions can be answered through the soul, but our Brothers farther up the ladder of evolution than ourselves will only give us that which we cannot obtain for ourselves. If they just come out and tell us which books are right and which are wrong then even they become like the beast to us, taking away our initiative to find out for ourselves through the soul. Soul contact is THE most important thing for us all to learn for only by learning the principle can we all become as one mind yet retain our complete free will.
All I can do with the Thunder Books is the same as I did with the Urantia Book when that subject came up. I can read it and tell you what I think...And that could be right or wrong. You and your soul are the final judge.
My response to your request was "I have not read the Thunder books. Perhaps Ruth could relate some teachings that impressed her. We mere mortals are free to give our opinion." I would not call an invitation to discover more about these books as indifference, would you? In fact I will go further here. Since all of us do not have the time (and some the money) to buy and read these books perhaps a list member would volunteer to do so and give us a book report. I have personally downloaded the first four chapters and will look them over when I have time.
Ruth also says: "Should I be a teacher, I would welcome questions of any kind from any source." I do welcome all questions you wish to ask. There may be some of a personal nature and history that I may not want to answer at this time. I also do not want to cover certain material that will be covered in future books. It is not a crime for me to not answer a question. We all have that right. BUT there are no questions that you cannot ask and no authority that cannot be challenged.
Ruth also writes: "I am somewhat confused as to the reason we are being lead to put so much energy and attention on the study of the beast. I would like to be enlightened as to why we are going there at this particular time." I proposed the idea and put it to a vote and all who responded voted in the positive for a complete study of the subject.
The truth about the beast has never been revealed in plain language as far as I know, yet the subtle authority that controls man and places a veil of illusion between him and the truth must be understood before a group can take the next great step in spiritual evolution.
Unless a group of people is able to escape from "the mark of the beast," sing the essence of the Song of the 144,000 in the soul, and join in the Oneness principle - certain plans of the Brotherhood of Light cannot take place.
You yourself end your letter with these wise words: "Be always aware of who you give your power to." That is the basic idea behind this current study.
Finally Ruth writes: "Sorry if I offended anyone or stepped on any toes. If I am becoming a pain to anyone on this list, I will be glad to leave and take my curious nature somewhere else." No toes are stepped on here and I think everyone wants you to stay. Why would you think otherwise?
NOTE to all other List Members: No one has come close to offending me yet. All sincere comments here are welcome!
