To Zia With Love Part II

I may have been a little biting in my response to Zina. My wife even gave me a bad time when she read my post.

Actually, in my mind I was following the golden rule and doing unto others as I like to be done to. If someone has a problem with anything I say, or thinks I'm saying things between the lines, I like them to come out and give me their thoughts with clearness even if they are disturbing. Then at least we have a basis for resolution.

I'm sure Zina means well in her desire to share her idealism and she certainly has a right to her opinion and to post anything she wants. I like many of her thoughts which add to the value of the group discussion. I am glad she did not seem to take offense.

I'm growing a little tired of going in circles about this oneness thing. Every disagreement we have on the list seems to come back to it, even protection. "In the true reality we are one in some way we do not understand; therefore there is no other person or thing who can hurt me." Those who believe they are there (in the ultimate reality) and not here (in the dualistic reality) are obviously not going to change their mind.

I'm sure that I will make more comments on this subject as it seems to come up again and again, but I'm sure that the majority of the list (an unscientific assumption) would like us to move on to other teachings.

So Zina, I am glad you did not take offense at my words. I was not so much giving my thoughts of you, but instead expressing how your posts made me feel. Keep in mind that emotions are fleeting and often illusionary. I do not in any way want to discourage you or others from posting any controversial thoughts you may have.
