Quoting JJ from Archived Article, Number 4223, Dan writes:
"Those who have not overcome death cannot consciously travel anywhere but the physical. The only exception is that some travel briefly to the astral and come back with a partial recollection, but that still leaves five other worlds where even this person cannot go."
Dan then writes:
"Have you read the books by Robert A. Monroe on OOBE (or Astral Projection) -- "Journeys Out of the Body", "Far Journeys" and "Ultimate Journey"? The author fairly minutely describes several different "worlds" he explored over a lifetime. I have only read most of "Journeys Out of the Body" but he describes 3 completely (functionally) different "worlds" which he calls "locales I, II & III" one of which sounds (to me) very close to my concept of the Devachan.
"Anyhoo, I was wondering if you had read the books and/or had anything to say about these "journeys" as far as if they all took place within the Astral or if he might have somehow found a way to visit some of the other "planes"? If all such "journeys" take place only in the Astral, is there any use or point in "exploring" them/it?
JJ:
Yes, I have read some of Monroe's material; and yes it is very fascinating -- more than any other astral traveler I have studied. Lobsang Rampa also provides interesting material.
As far as obtaining useful knowledge goes; traveling in the intuitive world is more productive for principles and the astral for data. The trouble is the data is not always reliable.
