The Attempts

Thought I'd drop you a short note and let you know we have all safely returned.

I do hope Lelona and Garret decide to stay. I feel somewhat "attached" to them since they are such old timers on the list.

I do understand that Lelona has other teaching projects going that probably leaves her little time to participate, but Garrett, why are you leaving?

You ask about the other two "attempts." Notice that they were attempts, not books. They were attempts to circulate certain teachings through disciples, but failed to take hold. These attempts are unknown to the world at large and it would not be advantageous to elaborate on them now as all the teachings (and more) that failed to take root will be presented again in the Immortal books and the teachings I give here on the list.

One of the main problems the Brotherhood has is that they are not very effective in working in the astral/emotional levels, and if the average seeker were to just hear their teachings repeated through a disciple they would find them boring. They tend to find the writings of ZOR from the planet Xemos much more exciting, even if they are full of illusion and a rehash of things already revealed.

Because there are few people on the planet who can recognize truth for truth's sake, a method had to be created to present the new truths in a way that could reach down to the emotional level and stimulate the needed response. For without a fairly strong emotional response a work cannot be created that will reach the multitudes.

This is where The Immortal comes in. I was to take the truths and put them in a book presented as fiction. This gave me the license to enhance the story on an emotional level, yet keep the teachings intact. This put a big responsibility on me since I have never written a full fiction novel before

This seems to have worked. I would guess that for every two books published that we receive one letter telling us how the story affected them, usually to the emotional level. I have never heard of an author having 50% of his readers writing him.

From the response that is generated I know that it is just a matter of time before the book is a hit. The only trouble is that we are promoting it with very limited means. We are currently experimenting with methods of promotion. The most powerful so far is the giving away the free Book One by current readers. If any readers believe that they can give away 15 or more Book Ones we will be glad to send them free of charge in the US. Just e-mail me and let me know how many you can give away.
