If a Spanish teacher demonstrates to the person's mind that he is fluent in Spanish this creates a mental authority and has little or nothing to do with the astral or physical.
This authority has nothing to do with the Beast.

I think the problem comes in your identification with Piscean teachers who have demonized the Beast aspect, as did Siddhartha's disciples trying to demonize and eliminate the desire nature (astral nature) all together, not realizing that it is a part of us that can not be destroyed but rather should be mastered

I'm not sure what my problem is that you are talking about.

You claim to speak the mind and will of God, do you not?
Surely you should know better than to say this if you have been on this list for a month or more.
I have said many times that I make no claims except for one and it is this. Each person is capable of contacting his own soul and this is the authority he should follow. If he believes he has made that contact (right or wrong) and it disagrees with me, or anyone else, then he should follow it.
I may or may not speak the truth, the mind of God, Satan or whatever. Everything I say could be wrong. This is a basic teaching that I have stressed again and again.

They are challenging you. Is this not good and wise for them to do?
No post gets rejected because someone challenges me or disagrees with me. They get rejected because they start repeating themselves and annoying and boring the members of the list, being extremely off topic or extreme negativity and rudeness.
You are challenging me in a civil way in this post and was it rejected? No.

I think it is positive for this seemly resistive energy to be in any group claiming to believe and do the will and intelligence of God. It seems very counter-productive in the short-term, but it ensures the long-term "livingness" of the organization.
I think 95 percent of this list disagrees with you. You get someone disagreeing over and over on the same subject or disagreeing just to be disagreeing and the list will lose its livingness.
I think this list is much more spiritually alive when people are civil to each other and respect the purpose of the list.

The trick of course is balance, to achieve the balance between the forces of stability (authority - magnetic) and the forces of change and critical thought (rebellion - radiant).
I think we have pretty good balance now that Dean is being more strongly moderated.

Have u not chosen to ban Dean from the list. This is just a list not a nation. If you were in charge of an actual physical community, the correlation to banning Dean would be to be exiled from the community.
Dean has not been banned from the list and if he does post something civil deemed to be of general interest his post will go through.
Banning someone from a list (which is appropriate in certain circumstances) cannot be equated with a dictator using death and torture to control his citizens.

I'm not making you out to be a dictator here, JJ. But my point is that authority is not wrong, but must be balanced between the desires of the individual disagreer and the agreeing group. I actually do agree with your choices of moderation and banning.
Then what is the point of your post? You sound like it would be good if we did not moderate.

The Keysters as a group are not very good at dispute resolution as evidenced by their chronic inability to achieve synthesis on even mundane differences of opinion.
Other active groups have the same problem. It's human nature to take sides and stand by them unless greater enlightenment comes.
Woody:
It'll be interesting to see how it (Dean's list) works out. If they are just rebels, they will come to nothing. If they are Lights, then these experiences will prepare them for bringing freedom to the world, being able to teach it from their own hard experience of how to do it.
I think they are all basically good people who just see from a different angle than do most of us here. I do not think they will change the world but they should make some progress as time goes by.
If all they do is talk negatively about the Keys and me then they will not attract many members. If they start talking constructively about interesting topics then they could be successful.
I find it mildly amusing that a few days ago Dean made a vow to take every single one of my writings in the archives and to rewrite them to expose the real truth. That will be quite a project, but for now he seems to be much more preoccupied in keeping order on his small list than I am on this much larger one. It would be interesting to see how he handles his list when it reaches 200 members, which is about the number we had when we began to moderate.
Global Warming Enlightenment: Air has a much lower heat capacity than water, which means oceans can heat the air, but the air cannot significantly heat the oceans. Since the oceans are heating up faster than the air this means that something besides CO2 or man made pollution is causing their temperature to rise.
