I sent this yesterday and it has not shown up yet so I am sending it again. Since I wrote this post several other good interpretations showed up. You guys are doing a great job.
The group has done a good job of interpreting on these last verses. I am hesitant to criticize any interpretation for, as I have said before, the scriptures do not have a single black and white interpretation, but numerous correspondences can be seen.
Does this mean that one interpretation is as good as another?
No. It does not. Even though there are layers and levels of interpretation, to be accurate they must fit in with the Law of Correspondences and the whole of the interpretive work must be consistent and without major contradictions. It also must be consistently logical and appeal to the intuition as well as reason.
JWK was the first to give an incisive answer to the question: What kind of labor is represented by the sun and why would men be Scorched by fire?
The labor of of the Sun would appear to be Illumination. To the lower nature this would be horrific. "God is a consuming Fire." The lower nature based on Illusion, Glamour, and Maya would feel and think It was dying, burnt up in the flames. Actually it would be dying. The Light of Truth is its worst nightmare and True Hell.
Great interpretation John.
Melva writes with wisdom:
The seat of the best could be in the minds of humanity or the weak egos of mankind and the labor related to it could be the fulfillment of selfish and physical desires without regard to the higher chakras/self/desires. If this is so, then the labors that are embarked upon to fulfill the selfish/lower desires would not produce light--meaning a person's energy stays centered in the lower chakras and it does not evolve to the higher chakras.
Concerning the seat of the Beast Ruth writes:
The Beast is us and we created the Beast with the help of the Dark Brothers/Luna Lords, so to seal the door where evil dwells, one must get off his/her BUTT and move/progress/evolve forwards through knowledge and Truth of the Light within to produce Light rather than darkness.
Woody writes:
I often wonder why the Book of Revelation (which JJ has said was written by The Christ himself) is written as a very separative book. There are holy angels and the worst villains of any story ever written.
If this book describes the events of the New Age, which is one of oneness and the overcoming of separateness, then what was The Christ thinking when he wrote it in this fashion?
Actually, I did not say that Christ wrote the book, but that it was an unveiling of Christ.
The main one responsible for revealing the book was the angel who appeared to John:
9And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Revelation 16:9-10
Who was this mysterious messenger who commanded John to write the Apocalypse?
Surprisingly, the answer was given by DK. He said:
Necessarily this is a symbolic way of speaking. In the Book of Revelations which was dictated 1900 years ago by the disciple who is now known as the Master Hilarion, reference is made to the "city which stands four-square." Telepathy, Pg. 163
Since Master Hilarion was the apostle Paul we know then that it was his fellow disciple who had been beheaded by Nero that came back with a great revelation for his brother.
Why was the symbolism given in such a dreadful end of the world fashion?
It was given to conform to the end of the world belief system at that time. If the real message of the book was given in a positive format it would have been destroyed and never included in the Bible.
I'm out of time tonight. I'll give my interpretation shortly.
The average person thinks he isn't.
