Two Trillion Cash

Eyden posted an article predicting a meteor hitting the earth on May 25, 2006 destroying millions of lives. I don't pick up any natural disaster like this and wouldn't bet my grandmother's operation money on it happening.

Ruthangel quotes a strange news story:

"Three separate sources in the U.S. Treasury have told me that this week, the federal reserve ordered TWO TRILLION dollars to be printed! The U.S. Treasury is allegedly running printing presses 24/7 to accommodate that order. Treasury employees were specifically ORDERED not to talk about this to anyone because it could cause economic collapse."

As soon as I read this I knew something was amiss. There is only a half trillion dollars of U.S. paper currency in circulation now. If they are printing up two trillion in addition it would mean that paper money would increase by about five times. What are they going to do with it all? Dump it in the streets?

Then I clicked on one of the links in the article and came across this:

"On 3/28/06 we published an article which stated that the Federal Reserve has ordered 2 Trillion dollars to be printed by U.S. mints. We mistakenly published this text instead of the one we meant to publish (below) from Free Market News. The report on the Fed's printing of 2 Trillion Dollars is not adequately supported with sources and supporting factual information. Therefore we pulled that article today."

I'm not surprised that the two trillion is not adequately supported for it's not even possible for the presses to print that much in a short time.

I've heard rumors for years now that our economy is supposed to collapse because of some switch in oil currency but can't find anything reliable to back up the fear that is circulated by some.

I was astonished by his grasp of Buddhism. The Dalai Lama commenting on his visit with President Bush.
