Larry writes:

"This question goes slightly back in Revelation 12. In Revelation 12:3 it talks about a 'great red dragon' with SEVEN heads and TEN horns, and SEVEN crowns upon his heads.

"Later in Revelation 13:1, it talks about a 'beast' with SEVEN heads and TEN horns, and upon his horns TEN crowns.

"We talked about Chapter 13 some years ago.

"So in Revelations, Chapter 12, we have 7-10-7 (heads, horns, crowns) and in Chapter 13 we have 7-10-10 (heads, horns, crowns).

"In Revelations, Chapter 13, it qualifies the ten crowns as being on the ten horns (which we understand are on the seventh head, or seventh period of history in which we are now). We talked about the meaning of these ten horns and crowns in "Ten Horns Revealed":

"In Revelations, Chapter 12, it has the seven crowns being on the seven heads. If the seven heads here still correspond to seven periods of history, then what do the seven crowns of Chapter 12 specifically refer to? Seven ruling nations in these seven periods? (saying that each period is dominated by some specific nation?)

"Or is there some other significance?"

JJ:

Astute observation Larry.

Just as the 10 crowns refer to religious authority during one of the ages, or kingdoms the seven crowns refer to religious authority through seven kingdoms. I'll have to add this into the book.
