I have to admit something. I read this wonderful book and I can't help but say to myself "How can I do a job as good as this?" Kind of funny, I know, I should be feeling inspired by it, but its such a damned good job its actually intimidating in a lot of ways.

Competitive thinking? I don't consider myself overly-competitive but I am a man, and I've seen what healthy forms of competition can inspire in those around a great competitor. I'm of the opinion that we can't look to JJ as a light on a remote mountaintop, but rather as one worthy of emulation, even to the point (where there is a capacity and the will) to being equal or even exceeding his strengths.

Thanks for the nice post Woody. Comments like this make the labor worthwhile.

The competition you speak of is competition in its positive aspect.

I have had this same feeling with others that inspired me to do better and without them I may have wound up a non thinking supporter or orthodoxy. Thank God for the kick forward!
