"I think so," she said. "How about some coffee?"

"Sounds good," he said. "That would be a nice change. Where I've been lately they do not drink coffee."

It would be a nice change if Joe made coffee or tea for John and Elizabeth, especially as Lizzie isn't feeling well and then she is sent out to the kitchen, and I was wondering why its always Elizabeth who has to make the tea and coffee in this series?.....is it because she is the woman or the wife, and why cant Joe sometimes make a cuppa for John and Elizabeth, or has he already? Hmmmmm...

My wife loves to take care of guests when they arrive. I do not even have to think about doing it myself because she always volunteers the service.

Even so, our roles are not that traditional as I do almost all the grocery shopping and preparing meals.

We both have our niches we have gravitated toward and neither feel taken advantage of. Thank God she does most of the housecleaning.

Joe heard the bells ringing, and thought it was John, but it turned out to be Philo.

Actually, the sound of the bells were from John sent as a warning. I'll have to add something to make this clear.

Thanks to the group for your comments. They help me fine-tune the writing.
