okay, I've been doing alot of thinking....and , this doesn't have to do with the teachings being taught or anything, but with these "masters" DK and others......

and , I guess to start the question i'll go to matthew 6:24:"No man can serve two masters"..

so, i guess what I'm asking here is...if these "masters" came from the forces of "light"...then why and how could they claim themselves masters...of anything...

JJ:
Steve made an excellent point on this. Let me quote:

When DK talks about 'The Masters', he is not talking about people who are 'masters' of me or you or anybody else. These might be seen as individuals who have 'overcome'(as Jesus points out in Revelations) or 'mastered' the lower bodies of the human personality.

People follow their teachings because they are 'elder' brothers who are working towards helping those behind them, to climb up to where they are. One might say they are high initiates who are 'fully' committed to 'serving' their fellow man and thus, God.

JJ:
Just as an initiate is one who initiates a Master is one who has mastered something. A master of the martial arts, for instance, is one who has mastered certain disciplines.

So what have the Masters of Wisdom mastered? That's right, they are called Masters of Wisdom because they have mastered the use of wisdom. When we use common sense we are working on the first steps toward this mastery.

Using wisdom the Masters have mastered many things including glamour, illusion, the pull of the lower personality, right use of energy, carnal impulses and many other items.

All of us are masters of something. Most people on the list have mastered some typing skills, but because there are many typing masters here this does not mean anyone is serving two masters?

The two masters Jesus talked about was God and mammon, or possessions, which are two opposing forces. One cannot go in two directions at one time. There are many who mastered English well enough to teach it but that does not mean that students are serving or learning from them all. The student has one teacher at a time.

Generally Masters will also avoid dichotomy by having disciples linked to only one master at a time.

Christ uses angels, disciples and masters to help because he cannot to all the work by himself. Hierarchy exists within all the organizations of God.

Adam:
cuz, I've always been hearing that we all know these things that they teach, deep down inside, we already know, but we just forgot wen we incarnated....

JJ:
Actually we do not know all these things deep inside. This is one of the reasons we came here so we can master wisdom and then we can consciously know.

The Spirit within to which we are linked recognizes all true principles but our job is to gain conscious knowledge. Without that which is without interplaying with that which is within we have only one hand clapping and knowledge does not exist.

Adam:
And if they were from the forces of light, how could they call themselves masters, when , if working for the light, they would be servants to the one "master" and/or creator of all ?!?!

JJ:
There are many Masters, but one God.

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

"To him that overcometh (masters the lower self) will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame (mastered the lower self), and am set down with my Father in his throne." Rev 3:21

When we master the lower self we "shall be like him" and be a master.

There are many who have done this and thus there are many masters serving the One God. We do not worship the Masters, but worship God.

Hope this helps
