Very funny Garrett & Glenys. I'm sure Garrett will be swamped with lots of people wanting readings.

The question of the day:

What is the difference between a fact and a principle? Why does soul contact deal with principles instead of facts?

I am experimenting by waiting an extra day to cover the question. We'll see how this works. We had some great answers on this. Brian reminded us that we covered this somewhat in the past. I'm glad he did for I wasn't sure how much territory we had covered.

I do not have time to cover the good comments you made but will mention a few.
Rob pointed out that a computer can know a fact, but that there are principles behind facts. Rick mentioned the core principle of BECOMING which is behind all creation. LeLona told us that a principle is "a source of substance."

But I was quite pleased to see an intelligent post from a new participant - Jerry Harris. I hope to see more of his comments.

He said: A Principle is timeless, eternal. It is the Law behind the appearance. In fact, Principle is equated to be Law. The U.S. Constitution would be the Principle or Law guiding the administration of the U.S. (Note: Laws and freedoms are principles covered here JJ)

The Principle called gravity causes the apple to fall "down" versus "up" or vs. not at all.. The Fact that the apple fell "down" demonstrates the Principle or "Law of gravity". The Fact of falling down should be predictable anywhere, knowing the Law or Principle.

It looks like the group has a good idea as to the difference between fact and principle; however the difference is sometimes illusive and I may test you now and then because this is an important point in overall learning and progression.

I believe that someone mentioned that the language of the Soul deals with principles. This is a good way to see it.

Think on this: It takes a thousand facts to reveal one principle, but one principle can reveal thousands of facts. If we see this as being true then we can understand that when the soul speaks to us that there will be times when a whole book can be communicated almost instantly.

Before effective soul contact can be reached the seeker must have a clear understanding of the difference between facts and principles and seek the understanding of Principles.
