Jonathan Livingston Seagull

JJ:
The mission of the lights of the world is to infuse new intelligence into the head with a recognition that the head does not have to follow the tribe or flock, but can seek for new adventures as did Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

JohnE:
u tagged one of my all time favorite stories JJ with that analogy but was Jonathan not outcast for his efforts by the 'head' much like Jesus was for His efforts originally? in both cases i believe it was the individual cells that these examples were communicating to rather that the head per se, much like a rebellion . in your analogy, with the head being the governing entity in the body, is that not the controller of the tribe as were the elders of the flock or the Pharisees in the church of Jesus' time? i get a sense for what you're saying but the mixing of analogies is confusing somehow.

Are you suggesting that the lights of the world are supposed to infiltrate the governing part of the body or, as the stories more accurately teach, to simply strive for all they can be and share what they've learned with other cells along the way? or are u suggesting that by simply seeking full expression as an individual cell, new intelligence is automatically infused into the head, representing the government? none of these options seems complete somehow...???

Blessings

JJ
In answer to your question, the lights will have to make a definite effort to enlighten the head.

No correspondence is exact, but I think this one is close.

All the government heads are like a flock where they all follow similar procedures.

If the lights gather in one particular head and awaken it then the head can become like Jonathan and break off from the old ways and forge new ones.

You will remember that Jonathan followed the flock in the beginning until a spark of intelligence created a light which changed him.
