Just a note to let you know I am at work
on Book 3, Chapter
Fourteen, and will be posting the draft soon.
Interesting accumulation of
prophecies
by John Koyle, Blayne.
I will comment on two of them:
"The Republican elephant would be in power. At an election, it would sink to its knees, never to rise again.
I first heard this in the early seventies and the take on it then was that Nixon was going to be the last Republican President. Evidently, some thought the
wording of a version of the prediction indicated that the last election of a Republican President would be during this period. Then, when Watergate happened it
really looked as if the prediction was going to come true at that time.
I'm not positive if Koyle did make a prediction that fingered the Nixon administration. If he did, I cannot now find it. If it exists it is possible that
Koyle followers do not want it to surface.
Here is one I did find from a Koyle interview:
"Koyle foresaw the Republican victory of 1928 but stated that the man riding the donkey would win in 1932 and continue to win, establishing an unprecedented record of successive victories at the poles. During this time the elephant would become sick and unable to regain its feet. One attempt after another would be made until eventually, after many years, the elephant would rise to its feet and remain on them for a number of years, but would then go down and the country with it. There would then follow an unprecedented period of war, confusion, turmoil, and national disaster."
He was wrong on a number of predictions. Hopefully he is wrong here. I do think though, the next ten years will be a tough time no matter who is in
power.
Another interesting prediction you cited was:
"Dark clouds will hang over the mine and the valleys. People will be distrustful and will not talk to one another. Finally, when the clouds part and the sun shines, everyone will be happy and will converse with each other."
In the following chapter [of Ogden Kraut's book posted here at FreeRead] there is another version of this:
"The Bishop often told the story of the dream about a 'little patch of blue sky' which was a prophecy concerning the last days of the mine. I heard the Bishop relate this dream while I was visiting with him one night. One of the Board of Directors came to his house to see him that evening, and the Bishop seemed very intent in relating this dream to this director:
"'Dark clouds began to gather until they had completely covered the sky. The whole heavens appeared to be black with very little light around. Everything was engulfed in darkness. Then I looked northwest toward the Point of the Mountain, and I saw a small patch of blue in the sky. Then it began to grow. Suddenly it pushed all the darkness away and then the whole sky was blue and sunny again.'"
Another version I have heard but cannot find is that the "patch of blue was no larger than a man's hand."
Over the years I have come across a number of people or groups claiming to be the patch of blue. The funny thing is most of them are not northwest of the
mine.
I see in the prediction you cited that some think the Golden Ensign Mine is the patch of blue. This mine is roughly north and west of the mine but it does
not strike me as correct that a mine could be a means of light which would push back darkness, which is most likely ignorance. In addition, I would question
as to whether this mine shows much promise. If anyone has any information on it I would be interested in hearing it.
On the other hand, if we draw a line that goes in a true northwest direction from the mine the line will go through two major population areas before reaching
the ocean. Those two cities are Boise and then Seattle.
One thing is sure, even if Boise is not the place of the initiating patch of blue of the Koyle prediction, myself, Artie, Blayne, Gloria, James, Lorraine
(when she returns) and other lights here will do our darndest to make it so.
