Keeping On Topic

Lately a number of posts have been drifting off topic. The list has always allowed a few of these, but let me remind the new people (as well as old timers) that off topic posts need to have the letters (OT) in the subject line.

I just rejected a post that would inflame a new line of discussion away from the current direction of the class.

On topic at the present is Chapter Thirteen and now my current post "To Rebel or Not Rebel." Hopefully this will finish my clarification of Chapter Thirteen and I can now begin working on Chapter Fourteen and we can then discuss that.

We will allow quotes from Alice A. Bailey and other metaphysical writers as on topic, that readers find interesting as long as they add to the general philosophy which has been discussed on the list. These types of quotes will be viewed as on topic until further notice. The main reason for this is there is a lag between chapters that I post and Mindy and others present posts and comments from time to time to take up the slack.

However, posts of strange channelings, especially from space aliens are definitely off topic.

As much as I enjoy a good political discussion, we want to discourage a major shift in this direction as it can lead to endless off topic threads. We may tackle a political thought now and then as happened with Chapter Thirteen, but this will be the exception and not the rule. The main political contribution of this list should be to "teach people correct principles and let them govern themselves."

If we ever concentrate in a political direction it may be advisable to create a secondary list.

Thank you for your cooperation.
