My Friends,

I am enjoying your thoughts on the lost Key. Unfortunately, I do not want to give out more serous hints at this time as it may spoil your reading of book III. Of course, hints will be given as the book moves along.

I will say this though. I would call none of your thoughts off base and they all are directed in some way toward the general principle of the Key.

Even so, no one has pinned it down exactly nor has the Key word been mentioned.

I'll have to get busy and write faster so you do not get too impatient.

Larry wants to know how I arrived at this statement:

"The Ancient of Days came from [Venus] 23 million years ago, but did not come from the physical planet, but a higher sphere connected with Venus."

Djwhal Khul definitely said that Sanat Kumara, the Ancient of Days, came here from Venus 23 million years ago. He doesn't say as clearly that he came from a higher globe than the physical; but hints at it and I cannot find the reference at present.

This not only registers well with my soul but makes sense. Shamballa is created out of etheric matter. If the home of the Logos on the earth is built of more refined matter than regular physical, surely this was also the case on Venus which has a hierarchy more advanced than that of the earth.

The only time lives of this exalted nature take physical bodies is to initiate certain important activity. For instance, The Ancient of Days became physical to initiate self consciousness in primitive man of the third root race.

John of Austin writes:
I notice from Book II that Elizabeth had to suffer in order to repay her karmic debt, where as Philo had not suffered for his.

I asked myself why this was true and the answer I came up with was because Elizabeth had turned to the light and was prepared to take responsibility for her actions. She was started on the upward road, and this suffering was part of the way back. Granted, she found ways to mitigate these sufferings and find other ways to pay off the debt, but my point is she had to pass through certain things on her upward journey.

On the other hand, Philo was determined to continue in his ways, but if at some point, he ever decides to repent, at that time karma would kick in on him, and he would have to go through a similar process.

Am I on the right track here, or am I missing something more?

You are on the right track, but there is an additional point to be made.

It is correct that when a person begins to make spiritual progress he becomes almost eager to pay off his debts so he can make his next great leaps in evolution. This is one reason that many good people seem to have more than their share of problems.

BUT... This does not mean that those on the left hand path will escape the effects of karma. It is true that some of the effects are delayed because they seek to avoid learning their lessons.

They will either turn around and then learn their lessons and pay of their karma, or they will continue on the path of pure selfishness which leads to a breakdown and destruction of all their soul has built for them in the three worlds.

Brigham Young spoke correctly when he said they would "return to their native element."

The distress of this process is described as follows in the Mormon scriptures:

D&C 76:45 And the end thereof, neither the place thereof, nor their torment, no man knows;
D&C 76:46 Neither was it revealed, neither is, neither will be revealed unto man, except to them who are made partakers thereof; D&C 76:47 Nevertheless, I, the Lord, show it by vision unto many, but straightway shut it up again;
D&C 76:48 Wherefore, the end, the width, the height, the depth, and the misery thereof, they understand not, neither any man except those who are ordained unto this condemnation.

Djwhal Khul tells us that the people who follow the dark path of destruction to the end are few, that most turn around before the point of no return. Those who do not will have to wait for the creation of a new solar system billions of years hence before another chance is given. - then they will have to begin their progression all over again.

In the great justice of God there is always hope, even for the most deprived of souls.

Ruth writes:
I just wanted to add something about the song of 144,000 - there is one passage that when I say it, it doesn't feel right and I have to add an "and".

"that within this love is complete protection from all destructive thoughts and feelings;

that the consciousness of Christ is lifted up in us in this love, and wherever we will the love to be enflamed."

I always say it like this - "that within this love is complete protection from all destructive thoughts and feelings AND that the consciousness of Christ is lifted up in us in this love, and wherever we will the love to be inflamed".

When I say it the other way it sounds like this to me - "that within this love is complete protection from all destructive thoughts and feelings that the consciousness of Christ.........."

Your change is so minor and does not alter the meaning that I would not worry about it.

I've never done a study of it, but some have studied the numerology of the Great Invocation and have concluded that the number of letters and syllables have a meaning that is lost if one word is changed. It would be interesting to do a similar study of the Song.

There was a slight mistake in the first publication. "Enflame" was a misspelling. It should have been "inflame."

Rick is thinking in an interesting direction that the many Keys are built around the first Key.

A number of them are directly related to it including the second key, but there are some that are not directly linked to it.
