White Magic -- Lesson Two, Part 8

When I speak of the seven notes, I am of course referring to the white notes on the piano irrespective of any key just as when we talk of seven rays we speak of them also irrespective of any key they may be in.

Keys are applicable to both the Rays and musical notes (as well as color) when the act of creation is involved. When creation is involved we then have harmonic blending of vibration in Rays, color and sound to produce desired results.

I just finished playing and listening to the scale on our piano (irrespective of any key consideration). If you play the seven white notes and then play the twelve in order (including black notes) you can see why this natural division has occurred.

As you play the white notes it sounds to the ear (at least my ear) that there is a smooth progression from one major sound to another. But as you play the whole chromatic scale of twelve notes then the black keys have the sound of a bridging step irrespective of how far apart they may be.

Just as the seven major notes have differing gaps so do the colors.

From Red to Violet we have a range of frequency from 700 to 400 nanometers. Now consider the distance (measured in nanometers in range) on the spectrum occupied by the various colors:

Red = 60
Orange = 20
Yellow = 20
Green = 70
Blue = 50
Indigo = 25
Violet = 25

This creates a fairly wide assortment of distance between the colors, but this does not prevent us from recognizing the seven major colors of the rainbow. If we were to go by exact steps then we would not see the rainbow.

Each of us are composed of a melody of the seven major rays interplaying in a symphony which produces a note in a higher composition and in each lifetime we are played in a certain key.
