Let us take a few minutes and cover some of the questions. First let me express appreciation for your answers. Without the group participation this class would be kind of dry wouldn't it?
I asked you to name some conscious channelers.
Here is what you came up with:
Joseph Smith
Paramahansa Yogananda
Susan's Husband Ren
Madame Blavatsky
Joseph Smith
Neale Walsch
Mohammad
Moses
King David writing Psalms
John the Revelator
John Edwards, (Crossing over with John Edwards)
Dali Lama
The Disciple Paul
Helen Schucman (the Course in Miracles)
Elizabeth Claire Prophet
I think someone finally mentioned Jesus, who was the greatest conscious channel.
I agree that most of these were conscious channels with a couple exceptions.
First Neale Walsch, by his own description received his information by automatic writing. If I remember correctly his pen just started writing by itself without him being consciously aware of the words that were being written down. You can get some interesting material from the astral world (or the subconscious) by this method, as did Ruth Montgomery, but it is not the method the Masters use.
From what I have heard Elizabeth Claire Prophet uses the direct voice method when channeling quite a number of entities.
While it is true that the revealers of higher knowledge will be conscious channels, this does not mean that all who claim conscious communion with higher lives are accurate.
Benjamin Creme claims to be a conscious channel for Christ, yet I personally heard him predict that Christ would announce himself on TV about 15 years ago. He said the announcement would be so overpowering that the whole world would acknowledge him as the Christ. This, of course, did not happen.
John Edwards is a psychic who claims to consciously communicate with the dead. You'll notice that he often tells people things they already know. This is because he usually picks up thoughts from the living person rather than the dead one. He, and others of his profession, pick up impressions from the aura of the living client and assumes they are impressions from the deceased.
I thought your list of White Magicians was very accurate:
Merlin
Thomas Edison
Albert Einstein
The three wise men
Nicola Tesla
St. Germaine
Thomas Jefferson
Benjamin Franklin
Abraham Lincoln
John F. Kennedy
Again we need to add two greats to the list: Jesus and Buddha.
(Thank you, Anni for helping with these tabulations.)
As we proceed with the study of white magic it is important to realize that both white and black magicians do not fit the Hollywood mold.
Someone mentioned Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy as white magicians. This was a good judgment because these two do not fit the standard mold, yet were indeed workers for the magical work of the soul.
Abraham Lincoln definitely spoke to the soul of the people when he gave his "house divided" speech declaring that a nation cannot continue to exist half slave and half free.
Kennedy spoke to our souls when he set a goal to reach the moon and come back again before 1970.
Churchill did this also when he spoke to England during their darkest hour and promised that they would never surrender to Hitler.
We of course, appreciate our historical heroes, but few look upon them as white magicians. This attitude, however, will change as understanding of the magical work of the soul increases.
It is true that in the technical sense as taught by Djwahl Khul that a full fledged white magician is a Master who is working directly under the Christ and a full fledged black magician does not dwell in a physical body and works from a non physical world of low vibration. There are also some high adepts on the dark side who are in physical bodies.
In addition to these, there are a large number of workers on the right and the left who are instruments of wielding the forces of dark and light, yet have not become masters thereof. We hope that through these teachings to keep our eyes centered on the right hand path until we too become magical workers through the soul of things.
