Discovering Truth

Back in 2006 I posted a 17-part series on what I called “The Principles pf Discovery.” This involved a series of principles that all can use to discover as much truth as possible without involving supernatural powers. And then, even those who claim truth by revelation from God, an angel or master are often misled themselves, and should only be accepted if they are confirmed by evidence without and confirmation within one’s own soul.

I consider these principles important because even the most enlightened do not discern every situation or event correctly. The Divine path seems to be that if we want assistance from a Higher Source, we first need to do all we can on our own.  It seems that our Higher Self does not reward us much if we are lazy and just sit back waiting for God to speak.

One of my favorite principles of discovery is:

“Take the things you know (for reasonable surety) to be true and use them as a foundation or stepping stones for testing additional truths.”

One of the reasons I wrote an article to reveal the most probable truth to the mystery of who killed Charlie Kirk was to illustrate this foundation principle.  I sought to find the things that were very likely to be true in the case and then measure all conspiracy theories and guesses against those. If a belief contradicts something that is established with a high probability of being true, then it is most probable that the belief is not true.

In applying this principle let us look at one of the greatest mysteries of history which is this. How was such a complex and magnificent structure like the Great Pyramid built by such a primitive people who didn’t even have the wheel or steel tools?

Now, part of the time, the orthodox explanation for mysteries is the most logical, but other times it is not. In this case, the orthodox explanation falls far short. Orthodoxy maintains the Great Pyramid was made with copper chisels, sledges, enormous ramps and thousands of workers laboring over a 20-year time period. This would amount to placing a 2.5-ton limestone block in precision placement every two to three minutes.

In addition, there were around 250 super hard granite blocks weighing up to 20 tons and over sixty beams weighing up to 70 tons. These huge granite stones had to be cut and hauled over 500 miles before installation. Once there, the 70-ton beams had to be placed more than 50–60 meters above ground level inside the pyramid. To put this in perspective, these 70-ton beams are the weight of about six school busses.

This and dozens of other examples present hard core facts that one can assume with reasonable surety to be true. Any assumptions about how the Great Pyramid was built should harmonize with this established information.

Now many books have been written giving evidence of ancient technology involved in the building of the pyramid but for the sake of time we’ll just mention this one and note that there is much more.

All this indicates that there was some type of lost technology at play that is ignored by established science. That is the only conclusion that explains all the anomalies of the Great Pyramid and other ancient mysteries.

Unfortunately, the known facts do not tell us what that ancient technology actually was or where it came from, which is why there are so many unproven theories on the subject.

One can find many hints and come close to the real truth by always factoring in the facts known with reasonable surety and making sure all assumptions do not contradict them.

This principle applies to present-day mysteries as well, though it is much safer to discuss ancient ones as examining them does not press emotional buttons like things in current affairs.

Let us suppose we try to apply the principle to this question: “Is Donald Trump a good or bad president?” He is so controversial that it may be impossible to agree with any set of established facts concerning him, so we may have to wait 100 years for a reasonable discussion without extreme bias concerning him.

I thought I would apply this principle to the mysteries surrounding Charlie Kirk’s death. Whether one agrees with Charlie and Turning Point or not, many are curious as to whether they are getting the full story about his murder.

There are many details and assumptions and theories concerning the event where there is not much certainty, but there were two points which I did cover in my previous article of which we can be reasonably certain are true.  Keep in mind that anything is possible, but do not let that distract from the details which are most likely to be true.

The first point we know with reasonable certainty is that Tyler Robinson was on the Losee Center rooftop about 130 meters away from Charlie and fired the kill shot. We can be reasonably certain of this because they found a spent 30.06 shell casing there with his matching DNA on it. He also left a screwdriver and handprint on the roof that had his DNA on it. The shooter then fled into the woods where they found the 30.06 rifle with Robinson’s DNA on the trigger.

What really adds certainty is that at approximately 12:45 p.m. MDT (25 minutes after the 12:20 p.m. shot), Robinson texted his roommate, Lance Twigg: “Drop what you’re doing, look under my keyboard.”

This initiated a 20+ message exchange where Robinson confessed further (e.g., “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out,” referring to Kirk’s views), discussed hiding the .30-06 rifle in woods, expressed worry about fingerprints, and urged Twigg to delete messages.

Critics say the messages were not time-stamped and suggest some conspirator fabricated them. Prosecutors say they have time stamps and have shared them with the defense.

Verified time stamps reveal the following:

12:45 p.m. Robinson writes “Drop what you’re doing, look under my keyboard.”

12:46 p.m. Twigg writes “You’re joking, right?????”

12:47 p.m. Robinson writes “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.

12:50 p.m. Robinson writes “If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence.”

12:59 p.m. Robinson writes “no, they grabbed some crazy old dude…”

The defense has not questioned the validity of these messages as they will be presented as needed during the trial.

It is interesting that Candace Owens has published numerous screenshots of her own text messages without time stamps, including some from Charlie Kirk.

In addition to this we have messages posted by Robinson on his Discord group (of which he was a member for around a year) which was definitely time stamped and his membership confirmed. The most incriminating message reads: “Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this. im surrendering through a sheriff friend in a few moments…”

Then there is the criticism about the note saying that all they have is digital photograph taken by Twigg in communication with Robinson. But the truth is that Twigg handed the physical note to authorities and made a sworn statement about finding it. In charging documents filed by Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray, this is cited as key premeditation evidence.

In addition, handwriting analysis completed by September 18 confirmed the note was written by Robinson.

The second point of truth with a reasonable surety is that the gun used was the grandfather’s 30.06 and there was just one shot fired. I cover this extensively in my last article. Some say that a 30.06 would create an exit wound which would normally be the case if it was a high grain with a full metal jacket, but there are numerous types of bullets, some designed to fragment within two inches of entering the body. Martin Luther King was shot with a 30.06 and the bullet did not exit his body, but fragments lodged in his shoulder.

We’ll find out for sure what type of bullet was used during the trial, as two unfired bullets were recovered.

When one figures the amount of planning, expertise, expense, technology and work that would have to go into a setup where Robinson was not the shooter, it is mind boggling indeed. This would include somehow setting Robinson up, faking the shot from the 30.06, placing his DNA multiple places, faking text messages on two phones, and joining Discord with a fake account around a year in advance.

It would be so much easier to just send one professional to do the job.  After all, one nonprofessional outwitted the best that Secret Service protection had to offer to fire multiple shots in the attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. A single professional could have taken out Charlie quite easily on numerous occasions where his protection was on a much lower level than a major presidential candidate of the United States. The shot from the Losee center was 142 yards. An expert sniper could have made the shot from 1000 yards. With 1000-yard range, professionals could have taken out Charlie on numerous occasions with the minimal security that he had, and with the extra distance, escape would have been quite easy.

Could these two points be true and yet Robinson receive assistance and encouragement from conspiracy theory’s suspects, such as Israel’s Mossad, the Egyptians, disgruntled Turning Point employees, the Feds, the CIA, or even rogue Mormon Church officials? Or maybe he was just encouraged by an inner circle who shared his beliefs that Charlie needed to be neutralized?  There are a lot of possibilities, but the chances are that if any turn out to be true, they will conform to the two points that we know to be true with reasonable certainty.

Unlike many sources of conspiracy theory, we should find out most of the truth from this one, as the prime suspect is still alive and is scheduled to have a trial. In January, he is supposed to have a hearing where he makes a plea. That should shed some light on the subject. Then later in the year, he should have a trial where quite a few details should come out.

Fortunately, Robinson has secured a high-powered defense, so if any of the conspiracy charges have any merit, they would most likely look into them and present them in court.

Heading up the defense is Nester Lewis, PLLC from Utah. Her firm has covered over 60 jury trials in high-profile cases. In addition, she has brought in two high powered defense attorneys to assist. They are:

Andrew Novak, a criminal defense specialist with over 30 years of practice and extensive capital case experience, including lead or co-counsel in more than 25 death-eligible homicide cases across federal and state courts in states like Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, and California.

Leslie R. Dymond, a high-profile attorney known for representing Lyle Menendez in his original 1996 murder trial (one of the Menendez brothers).

With this expertise at play, a large portion of the truth should come out.

Does his mean that talk conspiracy theories around the shooting will be put to rest?

That is doubtful, for some subtle mysteries will probably remain as humans by nature are attracted to the mysterious.

Finding the Truth About Charlie Kirk

Finding the truth about the Charlie Kirk incident is a good exercise in discovery for those who seek the real truth.  The problem is that there are a lot of ingredients to the whole picture, and those with different ingredients in their brains will come to different conclusions. The need therefore is to break the whole down to its parts, examine them and then put together a picture to see the whole with all of us using the same parts.

Let us start by examining two points where the majority of the hard evidence lies

Point One: Evidence points to Tyler Robinson as the lone shooter.

We have video of the alleged shooter escaping from the roof with what appears to be a rifle. Evidence is pretty conclusive that this was Tyler Robinson. They found a spent 30.06 shell casing on the roof with his matching DNA on it. He also left a screwdriver on the roof that had his DNA on it. As he was leaving the roof, he left palm prints containing his DNA. After jumping off the roof he left a footprint at the drop site matching his Converse sneakers. The shooter fled into the woods where they found the 30.06 rifle with his DNA on the trigger.

In addition, Robinson texted his romantic partner before the shooting, confessing: “I am [the shooter], I’m sorry,” and directing them to a note under his keyboard reading, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.” In a Discord group chat, an account linked to him stated: “It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this. im surrendering through a sheriff friend in a few moments.” Messages to his roommate discussed retrieving the rifle from a drop point, leaving it in a bush wrapped in a towel, and engraving bullets—mirroring the recovered evidence.

Point Two: Evidence from the bullet.

Fortunately, there are numerous recordings of the bullet being shot.

Turning Point had a live stream recording of the event.

Then there were numerous recordings from smart phones and body cameras from the 3,000-person crowd.

Finally, there were nearby campus security microphones.

These were timestamped to 12:23:30 p.m. MDT, syncing with surveillance footage of Robinson in a prone firing position on the Losee Center rooftop.

Here is an analysis of the recorded sound by audio forensics expert Rob Maher reported by CNN:

“Audio captured near the podium where Charlie Kirk was speaking suggests Charlie was hit with a single supersonic gunshot.

Supersonic rounds are fired from high-powered weapons. This finding rules out the possibility that a small handgun or similar weapon which fires rounds below the speed of sound was used in the attack.

Maher says that a signature “crack” and “pop” pattern, heard in the audio recording, suggests that the single bullet was fired from a rifle. Audio forensics alone cannot confirm the weapon’s model or variant.

Maher’s analysis found that the time between the ballistic shock wave’s “crack” and muzzle blast’s successive “pop” was approximately 240 milliseconds. With that time interval and an inferred bullet speed of 800 meters per second, the firearm would have been located about 153 meters from Kirk’s podium.”

Charlie was actually 130 meters from the shooting position, but if we factor in the fact that with a 30.06 there are several different grains available for the bullets and the smaller bullets travel faster and have less impact than a larger grain. This fits right into the 130 meters distance and the fact that Charlie’s neckbone stopped the bullet.

Overall, the audio analysis does give evidence that the single bullet recorded came from over 100 meters with a high-powered rifle and not from someone close by.

There are a handful who disagree with this, but the majority opinion supports this, and coupled with the fact that an empty shell casing containing Robinson’s DNA was found on the rooftop creates pretty powerful evidence that the shot was from him on the roof.

Fortunately, a bullet was recovered from a vertebra in Charlie’s neck. Though there is much speculation, there is no authoritative statement on whether the bullet was intact or just a fragment. Unfortunately, there is a gag order which limits disclosure of detailed forensic reports, and ballistic findings, to protect trial integrity. We do not have an official analysis of the bullet and probably will not until the trial, but Grok does say this:

“The probable cause affidavit (filed September 12, 2025, in Utah’s 4th District Court) and charging documents detail the recovery of a deformed .30-06 projectile from Kirk’s body, matching the caliber of the spent casing (with Robinson’s DNA) and the rifle (also with his DNA on the trigger). During a September 16, 2025, press conference, Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray referenced the rifle as “the one that killed Kirk,” implying forensic confirmation without elaborating on rifling.”

Now let us examine a number of reasons put forward that cause many to believe that what appeared to have happened did not happen and that there was some sort of conspiracy involved.

The most common thing put forward is the belief that a 30.06 would have almost blown Charlie’s head off. They say a 30.06 bullet would have gone clean through and exited the body. Therefore, he must have been shot by a smaller caliber weapon, possibly from someone close by. If this were true then placing Robinson on the roof, the empty shell, the text messages would have had to all be set up as a decoy. This seems pretty unbelievable as it would mean Robinson would have volunteered to be charged with first degree murder to make it work.

Those making this assertion assume that the bullet used was a standard full metal jacket containing 150-220 grains. This bullet made for big game would indeed in most instances enter and exit most humans and animals. However, The Berger VLD design, popular in Utah, incorporates a sharp polymer tipped nose that allows the bullet to penetrate 2″ to 3″ before it starts to expand. After the initial expansion, the bullet will shed between 40% to 95% of its weight as shrapnel into the surrounding tissue and dump 100% of its energy after penetrating two to three inches. There is often no exit wound with this bullet.

Another hunting 30.06 bullet by Federal Power-Shok features the 150-grain Jacketed Soft Point bullet, which uses the Speer Hot-Cor process. This design can be described as a “soft lead” bullet fragments and go down to about 50 grains which rarely exit a deer.

Martin Luther King Jr was shot in the lower right cheek with a soft point 30.06 thought to be 150 grains and did not exit, but fragments were found in his left shoulder blade.

Even in war, using a gun like Robinson used (from WWI era) and standard full metal jacket, bullets in around 10% of the cases will fragment and not exit the body.

Numerous people online are reporting that they have shot game in the neck with a 30.06 and the bullet did not exit, but usually do not describe the type of 30.06 bullet they use.

In addition, we do not know whether Tyler used a new bullet, an old one or a reloaded one. If it was reloaded, he could have put in a smaller-than-normal load which would have reduced the impact damage.

If it was an old one from his grandfather’s stash, then the gunpowder could have been degraded and lost a lot of its potency.

The mystery of the bullet will most likely be solved at the trial as the remaining two will be easy to identify.

Consider this: If Charlie was shot by something besides a 30.06, then the bullet had to have been fired by someone besides Tyler Robinson. Yet the spent 30.06 shell casing tells us with great certainty that a 30.06 was fired at that time. To make this theory work the conspirators would have had to arrange it for Tyler to leave an empty shell casing on the roof while another shooter actually did the job. Tyler would have also had to voluntarily put himself in a situation that would make him the prime suspect for first degree murder when he was innocent. This makes absolutely no sense.

On top of this, there is little evidence for a shooter other than Robinson and it is provable that Robinson was definitely on the Losee Center rooftop and he left an empty fired 30.06 shell behind.

Many are accusing Israel as being behind the murder. They think that perhaps this was the work of Israel intelligence, Mossad. The evidence cited is that it is claimed that Charlie, who had been a big supporter of Israel, had expressed some criticism and had upset doners. Besides, Candace Owens says that there were 12 Israeli cell phones among the 3000 attending the event. Netanyahu is also accused of being secretly angry at Charlie while pretending friendship.

The 12 cell phones are not evidence of conspiracy in my book. Mormonism draws many international people to their schools, and among 3000 people there were probably over 12 cell phones from several nations, such as England, Germany, Brazil and others.

Because the evidence is strong that Tyler is the shooter, any influence from Israel or any other nation would have had to have been directed toward him. Currently, there is not a shred of evidence that Robinson was influenced by Israel. We do know he was very pro toward the LGBTQ community, and most of them are very critical of Israel and sympathetic toward Hamas. Tyler hated Kirk and if some Israeli agent approached him to assist, he would have most likely told then to go jump in a lake – that he would proceed without their help.

It is possible that Mossad, the CIA or some underground groups had agents penetrate his inner circle and cheer him on or assist him in the act. In addition, there are accusations that the FBI, and even the Mormon church were involved without revealing who they represent, but so far there is no hard evidence of any of this.

Another accusation is that the murder was an inside job. The idea presented is that there are those within Turning Point who were either jealous or disagreed with Charlie or were just power seekers who wanted him out of the way.

Leading the charge is Candace Owens who is quite accusatory in this direction, sounding quite convinced it is true with very little real evidence.

She herself seems convinced that there was foul play within the organization, saying on YouTube Episode 259: “It reeks of an inside job.”

Then, in an Oct 27 podcast she declared this:

“Everything turning point is doing is wrong

and you know it’s wrong. You know it’s wrong deep down. I wanna say this, ’cause there has been a lot of reading in between the lines. It’s strange to me. I think I’m a very direct person and I say what I mean and I do not want people to mistake what’s happening right now or to wrongly assume my attention here.

“So allow me to be very explicit. Okay, I want war with all of you. Okay, all of you.”

So, she sees herself “at war” with “all” of Turning Point. That would especially include Erika Kirk since she is now in charge. This has led Candace to make these comments:

“There’s two things happening here. There are there’s a widow and then there is the chairman and the CEO… And she has assumed that role. OK, so criticism is pertaining to anything at Turning Point USA that are being directed at Erica are fair. Yeah, I’m putting the fire here right at the feet of Turning Point.” YouTube Episode 257

And here she assumes the purpose of this inside job was to install “a new ruler”:

“But I’m starting to think that the assassination of Charlie Kirk was something akin to a wretched side, right? The assassination of a king to install a new ruler who the king would have never approved of.” Podcast # 245 Sept 30, 2025

She’s made numerous other accusatory remarks toward Erika and Turning Point such as:

“I believe that people within that company betrayed Charlie… I don’t believe that he (Robinson) was the lone person involved. I don’t even think he’s a person that killed Charlie Kirk.” YouTube Episode 240

“It reeks of an inside job. That is how I feel. And the more that we learn about the story, the little changes that happen, the inexplicable things that we’re learning, it becomes clearer and clearer that somehow at some layer, at some stage, Turning Point USA is involved because they’re giving us no clarity… It’s looking to me like the apparent plan was to assassinate Charlie Kirk, who had at long last faltered on the pro-Israel cause. OK, his words, not mine. And then to stage a hostile takeover of his brand and of his legacy.” YouTube Episode 259

Candace makes strong accusations toward a number of Turning Point leaders but particularly picks on Mikey McCoy. Right after the shot, he made a phone call to Erika and his father instead of rushing toward Charlie to help. This may be a somewhat odd response, but it is certainly not enough to conclude some kind of guilt here.

There were a number of other things in the media that fed into conspiracy theories. One that aroused my suspicions was a report from neighbors of a mysterious number of cars parked in front of Tyler’s apartment shortly before the shooting with out-of-the-area license plates.

However, this report turned out to be something that someone fabricated and circulated on social media. Investigators can find no neighbor who reports seeing any unusual number of visiting cars.

Another story that seems odd, even to those who are not into conspiracy, is that it was reported that Fourth District Court Judge Tony Graf, appointed by Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, issued a broad gag order on September 29 that was supposed to affect all 3000 attendees. Some even took it to mean that even those not in attendance would be restricted in speech.

This gag order, though, was not as universal as some in the media were claiming, as it does not apply to all 3,000+ attendees. Instead, it targets “known witnesses” as they are identified and subpoenaed for trial, preliminary hearings, or evidentiary proceedings.

This gag order is unusual, but is no proof of a conspiracy, as lately it seems we read regularly of a judge making some unusual decree or overstepping normal legal authority.

The most logical thought that fuels conspiracy theories is that Tyler did not act completely of his own initiative – that he was either cheered on or assisted by someone.

Robinson was active in at least two group chats: one with friends (20+ members) focused on gaming and casual banter, and another smaller one with his roommate, Lance Twiggs.

There is no evidence of planning in either group but there was probably some reinforcement of some of his extreme views. Just before the shooting he did express his intent to take out Charlie to his friend Lance.

If he was secretly influenced by Turning Point or government insiders, this was very successfully kept under the radar.

One of the strangest anomalies of the event was created by a 71-year-old with a history of minor mental health issues, including episodes of delusional behavior.

Right after the shooting, George Zinn stood up yelling “Shoot me!” and repeatedly claimed to police, “I did it—I shot the fascist!” while gesturing wildly toward the stage. Officers subdued him without resistance and took him into custody for questioning. He was quickly ruled by police as unstable, but not the shooter, and wound up being charged with felony obstruction of justice and facing five years in prison.

Investigators and conspiracy theorists suspect he may have been an accomplice of some kind, creating a distraction so the killer could escape, but no hard evidence points in this direction. Most have ruled him out as a crazy guy overreacting.

There are numerous other instances cited that stir belief in a conspiracy but none raise enough of a red flag with me to consider them more than curiosities.All the conspiracies out there from the moon landing in 1969 to flat earth theories have a large number of points made that seem to support them. An interesting one is the claim that Paul McCartney died in a car crash in 1966 and was replaced by a look alike.  This seems pretty outrageous but what is amazing is the number of anomalies that seem to support it. Just go to YouTube and search for “Paul McCartney Died in 1966: Here’s the Proof”.

Watch a couple of these and you’ll almost believe that the Paul McCartney we have been seeing for a generation is not the real guy, but if we fall back on the reasoning mind we see the chances of this being true are very small.

In my estimation, there is one real possibility that remains uncovered and that is this: Did Robinson have any associates or contacts who helped him concoct a plan? Does his romantic partner, Lance Twiggs, know more than he let on?

I cannot find any solid evidence of involvement of a foreign government or the Deep State, but there is a possibility that he had a small inner circle who helped him plan the crime and cheered him on.

That said, I’ll end this by giving readers my estimate of the probability of the various assumptions of this case.

[1] The lone shooter was Tyler Robinson – 95% surety.

[2] There was only one shot fired. – 99%

[3] The weapon used was the grandfather’s 30.06. – 95%

[4] Robinson acted completely alone of his own initiative, though he had external influences as have we all. – 50%

[5] He received direct assistance and encouragement from others or could have been groomed by some source. – 50%

[6] Conspirators from Turning Point provided assistance for the crime. – 10%

[7] Tyler was not the shooter and Zionists or Mossad orchestrated the whole thing. – 2%

[8] Tyler was not the shooter and Zionists or Mossad bore some responsibility for the crime. – 5%

[9] Tyler was not the shooter and the FBI, CIA or Deep State were involved and partly or fully responsible. – 5%

[10] Tyler was influenced in a negative way from various online sources, friends and the media – 100%

On giving this conclusion do not assume that I go along with the establishment on every incident where conspiracy theories surface. For instance, I think there was a conspiracy around the JFK murder and am very skeptical of the orthodox story around the Trump assassination attempt in Butler Pennsylvania – and I wouldn’t be surprised if we had little or no gold at Fort Knox.

But when one looks at this incident logically, using the known facts, as presented, the evidence is pretty strong that Tyler Robinson was the lone shooter.

It will not be long before the trial and though I suspect that conspiracy theories will linger afterwards, we should discover some solid key information that will put at least some of the speculation to rest.

My guess is that the principle of Occam’s Razor will play out which states: “The simplest explanation is usually the best one.”

Note the word “usually.” There’s always the chance that Paul McCartney was really replaced and that Tyler Robinson was not the shooter.

The Dark Brotherhood

The Dark Brotherhood

DK talks a lot about the dark brothers. The beginning reader will immediately get the idea that these are a bunch of bad dudes to be avoided, kind of like the Christian has toward evil demons, but to get a more complete picture one needs to delve fairly deeply into the writings.

To put it concisely, the dark brother is one who has consciously chosen the left-hand path while the brother of light has chosen the path of the right hand.

The path on the left leads away from the soul and spirit to eventual destruction of the personality self and the path on the right leads toward soul and Spirit which takes us back to our Source, sometimes referred to as the “Father’s House.”

This may seem like a clear demarcation, but identifying the agents of the two is nothing like in the movies where the identity of saints and demons is obvious. DK makes this point:

“The Hierarchy, animated by love and that of the opposite pole, the Black Lodge, working entirely through mind and substance — are engaged and their close relationship will emerge. You will realise then that the margin of difference is very slight and is to be found solely in intention, in the underlying purpose and the concrete objectives which this group of material workers have set themselves.” Destiny of the Nations, Pages 36-37

The key statement here is that “the margin of difference is very slight and is to be found solely in intention.”

He also says this:

“The Great White Lodge, our spiritual Hierarchy, and the Black Lodge employ the same universal energies but with different motives and objectives; both groups are groups of trained esotericists.” Education in the New Age, Page 61

Many of the energies and powers used by the two brotherhoods are the same but the intention behind its direction of use makes all the difference. Take money, for instance. One can use it to feed the poor or to blow up a building containing innocent people. The intent of the user makes all the difference.

The problem is that the dark brother hides his intent and presents himself agent of light similarly to that noted by Paul: “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” II Cor 11:14  

DK says something similar here: “Oft too the Dark Brother masquerades as an agent of the light, oft he poses as a messenger of the gods.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Page 136

This makes it very difficult for the rank and file to tell the difference between the two agents for often they “call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20

One of the main things that causes confusion is that the dark brothers are capable of many of the miracles often attributed to the brotherhood of light. He says this:

“Supernormal powers are, of themselves, no evidence of divinity at all. Great exponents of evil can perform the same miracles and demonstrate the same capacity to create and to transcend the normal faculties of man. These powers are inherent in the creative aspect of Divinity, the third or matter aspect, and are linked to an intelligent understanding of matter and to the power of the mind to dominate substance. This power is, therefore, neither divine nor non-divine. It is a demonstration of the capacity of the mind, and can be used with equal facility by an incarnated Son of God, functioning as a World Saviour or Christ, and by those Beings who are on the path of destruction.” Esoteric Psychology, Vol 2, Page 60

We can see this at work in certain ministers and gurus whose adherents claim that they work miracles, especially in healing, yet stories surface of how they sexually abuse men, women and children or spend donated money on a lavish lifestyle.

Since the dark side often successfully presents itself as benefactors of humanity and portrays those working on the side of light and love as evil, or just plain insane, it would be wise of us examine the esoteric writings so we can discern which is which. After all, did not the Master say “that there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matt 24:24  

The Dark Brothers then present themselves as agents of light and average people have difficulty seeing through them. We must keep in mind that DK tells us that the fundamental difference lies in their “motives and objectives” which differ widely from the spiritual hierarchy.

DK summarizes how deceptively the Dark Brothers work in this quote: “They endeavour to preserve that which is familiar and old, to counteract the effects of the oncoming culture and civilisation, to bring blindness to the peoples and to feed steadily the existing fires of hate, of separateness, of criticism and of cruelty. These forces, as far as the intelligent peoples of the world are concerned, work insidiously and cloak their effort in fair words, leading even disciples to express hatred of persons and ideologies, fostering the hidden seeds of hatred found in many human beings. They fan to fury the fear and hate of the world in an effort to preserve that which is old and make the unknown appear undesirable, and they hold back the forces of evolution and of progress for their own ends.” Externalization of the Hierarchy, Page 75

A key statement that applies to the political conflict of the day lies in these words: they “cloak their effort in fair words, leading even disciples to express hatred of persons and ideologies, fostering the hidden seeds of hatred found in many human beings.”

Their power of deception is so great that even disciples will enter the political debate in a negative way and “express hatred of persons and ideologies.”

Indeed, we see that happening on the news each evening with what we assume are average people, but DK tells us that even disciples (or the elect) are deceived into supporting the negative energy. The dark ones seek “to cloud the issues involved to such a degree that the men of goodwill everywhere will be bewildered and will fail to see the clear outlines of the factual situation or distinguish between what is true and what is false. Forget not, the forces of evil are exceedingly clever.” Externalization of the Hierarchy, Page 452

Here are some of the other differences between the brothers of the light and dark:

The Dark brother is “animated by the life and purpose which distinguished the evolution of the first solar system… therefore, identification with that which is past, retrogression and the methods of the old” are the focus of his attention. TCF, Page 622

On the other hand, the spiritual hierarchy’s main goal is to move forward and manifest the goal of this solar system and “is working entirely with the soul or the consciousness aspect, and in this group the doctrine of the heart and the law of love control.” Destiny of the Nations, Page 107

This difference is illustrated on one hand by “a humanity which is oriented towards the higher spiritual and altruistic values and whose keynotes are sacrifice, group good and world understanding, and those whose focus is predominantly material and whose aims are selfish, animated by ambition and the spirit of acquisition.” Externalization of the Hierarchy, Page 126

The focus of the dark brother is on the desire/feeling nature from the astral plane:

“The Black Lodge or the planetary centre of evil works almost entirely upon the astral plane, and is impressed directly and guided in detail from the cosmic astral plane.” Externalization of the Hierarchy, Page 689 Though “They have achieved mind, and need love.” TCF, Page 1125 they seek to control humanity through their desire nature.

The plane of the upper mind and higher is the main focus of the spiritual hierarchy though they do seek to influence our feeling nature with love in a positive direction. They seek to stimulate “the aspiration and the will-to-serve from the plane of the emotions to that of the mind (the plane whereon the Masters can be found)” Introduction by DK

The Spiritual Hierarchy seek to enhance the freedom of humanity whereas the dark side seeks to restrict it to further their own ends:

“The major battle in the world today is that of the freedom of the average citizen to think for himself and to come to his own decisions and conclusions. It is here that the major quarrel between the Great White Lodge and the Black Lodge is to be found. It is a battle in which humanity itself is the decisive factor” Rays and Initiations, Page 679

He also tells us that there are “three modes whereby the forces of darkness seek to control humanity are hatred, aggression and separativeness. The three great spiritual counterparts are love, selfless sharing and synthesis.” Esoteric Psychology, Vol 2, Page 577

The dark brothers work though deva lives of the seventh order which causes an effect of “vampirism and the devitalisation of their victims. They deal with the etheric bodies of their enemies, and by means of sounds affect deva substance, thus producing the desired results.” The Brothers of light “works through the devas of the sixth order” which works out as positive energy rather than negative. TCF, Page 668

Have you ever been in the presence of an authority figure who made you feel weakened on several levels? Many students have felt this when an authority works with the dark energy. This could be a sign that you are influenced by an agent of the Dark Brotherhood.

The Dark Brother also places focus on the material plane and the physical senses and pleasure.

“The black brother carries the evolution of the senses on to a stage inconceivable to man.” FCF, Page 1126 The dense physical body “is ever deemed occultly evil. The matter might be more simply expressed by stating that the black adept is frankly concerned with what is termed “the residue of that which earlier was.’” TCF, Page 1125

The forces of darkness create lawlessness and when the situation becomes bad enough a Master Soul will be sent. Here are the words of Krishna, who was a previous incarnation of the Christ according to DK.

“Whenever there is a withering of the law … and an uprising of lawlessness on all sides, then I manifest Myself.

“For the salvation of the righteous and the destruction of such as do evil; for the firm establishing of the law I come to birth in age after age.” The Bhagavad Gita, Quoted on Page 4 of The Reappearance of the Christ

Even though the Dark brothers have great power in the world the numbers of those solidly on the left-hand path are a lot fewer than those who find the right-hand path of liberation. But many of those on the right hand do not stay behind to assist humanity, but go on to other work.

 “It is interesting also to note that it is the very rare man indeed who swings into the field of so-called black magic. This indicates, does it not, my brother, the extraordinarily triumphant work of the Great White Lodge.”     Esoteric Psychology, Vol 2, Page 389

Here he tells us that one has to stubbornly persist in error to become a Dark Brother:

“Anyone who over-exalts the concrete mind and permits it continuously to shut out the higher, is in danger of straying on the left-hand path. Many so stray…but come back, and then in the future avoid like errors in the same way as a child once burnt avoids the fire. It is the man who persists in spite of warning and of pain who eventually becomes a brother of darkness.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Page 134

A few pages later (Page 137) tells us there are three main things the disciple must embrace to avoid the left hand path.

First is “A realisation that purity of all the vehicles is the prime essential.”  

By vehicles he means the physical body, the astral or emotional self and the mind.

Second is “The elimination of all fear.” Dark forces feed upon fear for it lowers our vibration.

The third is the disciple must stand “firm and unmoved, no matter what occurs.” This is another way of telling us to keep our minds steady in the light and to always keep our focus on the Spirit over the material world no matter what happens around us.

DK does not tell is how many dark brothers there are on this planet but he does give us this about their leaders:

“The dark forces are ruled on the physical plane by a group of six oriental leaders and six occidental leaders; of these the oriental are the most powerful because they are the oldest racially and therefore the most experienced.” Esoteric Psychology, Vol 2, Page 577

He doesn’t make it clear whether these have bodies in the dense physical as do we or in etheric matter. When he says physical, he usually is referring to all seven subplanes which include four ethers invisible to most of humanity. When he speaks of physical as we see it, he usually uses the term “dense physical.”

Even though both brotherhoods appear benevolent on the surface, when the masks come off and they show their true colors the difference becomes very clear:

The dark brother considers not what suffering he may cause; he cares not what agony of mind he brings upon an opponent; he persists in his intention and desists not from the hurt of any man, woman or child, provided that in the process his own ends are furthered. Expect absolutely no mercy from those opposing the Brotherhood of Light.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Page 135

“Their particular form of selfishness is far worse than anything which you can imagine, because they are completely detached and divorced from all contact with the energy to which we give the name of love.” Rays and Initiations, Page 716

It is chilling enough to contemplate the dark brothers on this planet, but according to DK the more advanced of them move on to other solar systems:

“They can reach, in their later stages, expansions of consciousness and of power that will take them far beyond the confines of our solar system, and give them attributes and capacities which prove a menace to the unfolding of the second Aspect.” TCF, Page 1125

It appears then that even after they move on that they still “prove a menace” to us.

It then appears that these highly placed Dark Brothers are then contacted by brothers who remain here:

“By means of invocation and forms the Dark Brothers (or those who tamper with what you ignorantly term the powers of evil) tap forces connected with dark intelligences in high places. Thus they set in motion happenings on the physical plane that have their origination in the dark mysterious caves of cosmic evil as found within our solar system. Equally so, it is possible to tap the still greater forces of light and good and to make application of them on the side of evolution.” Letters on Occult Meditation, Pg 192

You’ll notice that the situation is similar on both sides. Both have advanced entities who have progressed beyond our own system and can be contacted.

Fortunately for us the dark brotherhood eventually self-destructs and the Brotherhood of light returns to their Source.

But eventually in another solar system, ages hence, even the worst of the Dark Brothers will come to their senses, seek out their true Source and return home.
