The Immortal - Book 1 -- by Joseph John (JJ) Dewey
Foreword
"The Immortal" -- a book that touches and speaks to the soul!
Out of the thousands of free books found on the web, this one is guaranteed to hold your attention and fire your
imagination as no other has, can or will!
"The Immortal" is the story of an average seeker of truth who serendipitously stumbles
across a curious man who, in addition to presenting some fascinating teachings -- also makes several veiled statements which
hint that he is no ordinary man -- but has access to a vast amount of information and knowledge -- and is far older than he appears.
Not only does this person say things that suggest advanced knowledge and age, but he also demonstrates an intimate knowledge of people, and events
that might indicate that he is -- or was -- John the Revelator of Apocalypse fame, who has been wandering the earth incognito for the past 2000 years.
Adding to the mystery, it seems possible that this man may been one or more other historical men of renown directly or indirectly involved in
many important key past events in human history.
The character of Joe wonders how this could be? Afterall, this man seems nothing like what one would expect a biblical prophet -- especially
the author of The Book Of Revelations -- would look like, act and speak?
The idea of immortality -- and spirituality -- was not new to Joe -- however, on the face of it, the type and kind of immortality and spirituality
that this particular "Immortal" seemed to exhibit was very different than any other teachings that he had ever encountered anywhere
else before on this and related topics.
So, in spite of the many incredulous ideas and thoughts swirling through his mind concerning who and what this person might be, Joe agrees to
listen to what this man has to say, and begins to be taught what the man -- who calls himself "John" -- refers to as "The Twelve Keys of Knowledge."
Joe is somewhat surprised when he finds out that instead of just being directly "handed" or "told the truth" -- having all the details
of a teaching, idea or concept explained to him by "the teacher," or learning by reading and studying a book -- Joe finds that he must verbally
respond to specifically worded questions with specifically worded answers. Also, that his answers -- and the depth of the understanding of
his own answers must be of such a level, quality, and timeliness to convince his teacher that he is ready and allowed to proceed onto the next
lesson -- or not.
The first question addressed in Book I is: "Who Or What Am I?"
Joe seemingly gives all the standard answers -- only to discover all the standard answers are all wrong!?
Soon thereafter, he comes to realize that this is no ordinary man -- and that he is under the tutorage of no ordinary teacher -- and that these are no
ordinary teachings; and, finally, he realizes that if he wants to be successful in this quest for truth, understanding and knowledge, he must apply himself
in ways he has never had to apply himself before.
These realizations and commitment sets the stage for adventures in learning and life changing experiences that Joe could have not otherwise imagined
possible.
Here is what others are saying about "The Immortal":
"My God man, you are one heaven sent story teller.... I just finished
the Book. Whew...."
-- BT
"Just wanted to drop you a short note to tell you that I just got 'The
Immortal' and could not put it down. It is a fantastic book. I feel
almost a sense of loss having finished it...."
-- CC
"I have finished reading Book 2, and I am totally amazed by the claims
you make; I am fully aware that such high levels of information could
never be invented or brought up by the human brain for a fictional
story."
-- WL
"I've recently finished reading 'The Immortal.' Thank you! I've already
told dozens and dozens of people, 'If you read only one book this
year, consider having it be 'The Immortal.'' And everyone that I've
spoken with has had as enthusiastic response as I have and eagerly
await both the newsletter and next book."
-- Diane
"This is the best esoteric novel - by someone still living - I've come
across so far. The Celestine Prophecy was good, but this is even
better - written on a deeper level."
-- Joseph Polansky, Editor of "DIAMOND FIRE"
"I am now on the fourth book -- "Eternal Words." All of the books seem to have great knowledge from many philosophical currents, and from the looks of it you have read a lot of books. You can tell that by the different quotes in the book that it is not like other "New Age" books that don't want you to think, and that somehow enlightenment will come all of the sudden. I don't care if characters in the novel are real or fiction, the truly important thing is the message not the messenger."
-- Alex (Read his entire letter.)
