Sterling's Dream

Sterling:
There were basically two parts of the dream. The first part I dreamt that I had a dream and awoke from the dream and wanted to tell others about my dream. Yes, a dream within a dream.

JJ:
Dreams, especially message dreams are sent to us to give us information that we have not fully registered correctly in our waking consciousness. A dream within a dream would contain information that normal waking consciousness is attempting to ignore, hide from or insulate oneself from.

Sterling:
The second part was about telling others about the dream and trying to bring the dream to fruition.

JJ:
Even though you push this information into hidden areas of consciousness there is something about it that you find attractive and would like to share if you were able.

Sterling:
The essence of the dream within a dream was that I was in my parent's home in Fountain Green.

JJ:
Note the name of the town which is the setting for the dream: Fountain and Green. Fountain indicates source and Green symbolizes life.

Sterling:
and with the knowledge gained in the post from J.J. last night (The Greatest Name), I was going to pour water on the floor of my parent's greenhouse.

JJ:
Note the word green appears again, a double emphasis on life. In addition to this the home and town in the dream are the residing place of your parents who are also a source of life for you, a third witness to the meaning.

The setting here is a greenhouse which is a source of life for all manner of living things. Note that a greenhouse is capable of growing many diverse plants, but all are living gifts from God nevertheless.

Sterling:
(This was situated on the east side of the house though in reality it is on the south)

JJ:
The source of life, spirit, light and knowledge in many sacred texts is said to come from the east, not only literally in many instances, but also symbolically. Thus it is interesting that even though in real life the Greenhouse is south; in your dream of dreams it is on the east. This is obviously not an accident.

The east is a symbol in the Bible of life, spirit, and enlightenment as noted in the following scriptures:

Genesis2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Genesis3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Thus we see the Garden was east in Eden and the Tree of Life was East of Adam after he was cast out.

In the New Testament the three wise men came from the east and followed the Star which was "in the east." (Matt 2:1-2)

In the Book of Revelations we read:
Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Thus the angel with the seal of the Living God (fountain of living waters) comes from the East.

Here's another interesting reference:
Rev 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Who are these kings of the East? These are the same as the "holy men that ye know not of" who are kings within the Kingdom of God. These are Master of Wisdom who shall return with the Christ.

Perhaps the most powerful reference of them all comes from the words of Jesus:

Matt 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

In the last days the light of knowledge shall come from the hidden teachings of the East even to the West. Even so the coming of the manifestation of the presence of the God and Christ within us shall come from the light of knowledge from the East to the West.

It is interesting that we see in the dream a fourth symbol of the fountain of life represented in the word "East".

Sterling continues:
...and by the strength of will was going to turn the water into ice so we could have an indoor ice skating rink for my nieces and me to play on.

JJ:
Water from the fountain of Life has a refreshing temperature for drinking or bathing and flows with living energy. Freezing the water stops the flow and makes drinking it impossible. It changes that which is living into something that suspends (not kills) all life.

You therefore sought to alter the living water and change its function to that which is not natural, but to that which you desired. (A skating rink in a greenhouse is about as far from the natural use of water in that situation as possible). You, therefore, use great strength of will to suspend the power of the water of life and present a playground of doctrine and semantics to your nieces (those who you seek to teach). It seems to be more fun to skate around the words of life than to let the fountain of life spring up and grow within you.

This is a dream within a dream and is well hidden from your consciousness and is not seen by you even when you write the words of the dream.

Sterling:
In my dream, as I awoke from that dream, I wanted to tell my nieces about this.

JJ:
You desire to share all you learn with your students and discussion groups.

Sterling:
I ended up drawing a cartoon to illustrate the dream, showing in successive frames the ideas presented in the dream.

JJ:
A cartoon is a distortion of the real. You are interpreting the dream within the dream with a distorted interpretation, but this seems harmless as a cartoon is usually harmless. Thus, the interpretation you shall initially present as being the meaning of the dream will not be accurate.

Sterling:
I was working on the last frame when I awoke. The final image took me by surprise. My oldest niece (of one particular sister) had a spear-like thing sticking into her with a devil-like spike on it.

JJ:
As you created the harmless cartoon images, one after another, all of a sudden a not-so-harmless cartoon picture is before you. Your oldest niece, long time associate(s) in study, had a spear-like thing sticking in her. If you look closely you should see that the spear is made of the ice from the greenhouse. Even though you desired to freeze the living waters for play and to help others enjoy life, you discover that a piece of ice can also be molded into a spear that can kill the life within.

The message:
Examine the inner thoughts and feelings that you don't face within yourself. End the stillness of progression and warm the ice through the fire of the Spirit so the ice changes back to the living waters that can heal and give drink to thirsty lives.

Sterling on Blavatsky:
What I found was a person who was much more favorable toward paganism than toward Christianity, and who claimed that Christianity basically plagiarized various legends and rituals of paganism, the latter being the preferable. Another document I looked at methodically redefines the word Christ so as to say that Jesus the Christ merely means, Jesus a good man.

JJ:
What many today call ancient paganism was really most of the populated world which was composed of a large variety of peoples of varying belief systems. Many of what seemed to be attacks on Christianity by Blavatsky was more of an attack on the Catholic Church not unlike those made by many of the early brethren who justifiably found fault with many items of doctrine.

Much of what she wrote was the result of honest research. In many cases she found evidence that certain elements in Christianity predate the standard version of the history of the Jews and the church. This is not surprising for the early brethren taught that there were prophets before Adam.

In many cases she quotes from sages past and just throws it out for the reader to consider. Thus it was in calling Jesus a Good man. She was quoting the words of another. In other places she accurately says that Christ means anointed one and says that there have been many such anointed ones.

The teachings of Djwahl Khul (who taught Blavatsky) as clarified through Alice A. Bailey reveal that the Christ is an office held by he who taught in Jerusalem 2000 years ago very similar to the teachings given to Joseph Smith. In addition, it is a name.

By the way, I do not believe I have directly received any of my teachings from Blavatsky's writings as you surmise, and I have never made any claims to be the One Mighty and Strong. You are not aware of my beliefs on the matter.
